Global Operations and Supply Chain Management
Competitive Alternatives Survey
A company involved in manufacturing medical devices decides to begin sourcing components
internationally. As for now, it operates in the United States and Germany only. So, senior management
should assess the relative manufacturing costs worldwide to choose where to source. This decision
will be made based on manufacturing costs.
Cities with the Lowest and Highest Manufacturing Costs
The latest Competitive Alternatives survey was published by KPMG in 2016. It is the comparison of
more than 100 cities in 10 countries all over the globe. The key finding of the report is that Mexico
has the highest relative cost advantage if compared to the United States, and Japan has the lowest
(KPMG, 2016). However, the area of interest of this investigation is to determine three cities with the
highest and the lowest manufacturing costs for the company s specific industry medical devices
manufacturing.
The 2016 report specifies that Monterrey and Mexico City in Mexico offer the lowest prices if taking
into consideration facility cost (factory rent). The same is true about utility (electricity and natural
gas), labor (salaries, statutory plans, etc.), and transportation (surface and air fright) costs. In general,
Mexico is an attractive destination for sourcing because manufacturing costs are almost 22 percent
lower than in the United States (Medical devices, 2016). The second cheapest country is Canada. In

Action Items, Milestones And Deadlines Essay
Action Items, Milestones / Deadlines If BJ s is to achieve the long term objectives presented in this
strategic plan it is essential to formulate specific steps for their fulfillment. Moreover, a strategic plan
must include specific actions or action items, which must be carried out for the plan to be
implemented (Pearce Robinson, 2013). Consequently, BJ s action items for the implementation of this
strategic plan must be accompanied by milestones. Managers must be aware that these milestones are
deadlines or timelines for completion of the activities required for the strategic plan implementation.
Here are the action items and their corresponding milestones or deadlines. (Exhibit II) Action Items

Essay about Why Athletes are Good Role Models
Why Athletes are Good Role Models
Ever since the ancient years, we have admired athletes and the hard work that they do to achieve their
goal of winning. We idolize them and wish we were more like them. What happens though when the
realization sinks in that they are human too and that some of them do get greedy and selfish? A lot of
athletes are model citizens that you should really look up to, but there are also some bad apples in the
bunch that ruin it for everyone. Athletes can inspire young people to work hard so that their efforts can
pay off, but no one is pure and flawless. Greed does take a hold of some players, but they shouldn t be
the ones we devote all of our attention to. We should look at the

Shaquille O Neal bought over 1,000 turkeys and gave to needy families all across the nation on
Thanksgiving. I did not hear one mention of that in the news. They are making us believe that all
athletes are bad people with their propaganda. If they spent half the time covering the good hearted
stories that they do the bad ones, we would have a different opinion on the hard working athlete.
Michael Jordan has started a foundation that donates money for research to help physically challenged
children. He has been running up the tabs at
Atlantic City casinos, but who hasn t gambled? We are not perfect. Michael may gamble, but he does
his share of helping and works hard for what he has acquired.
Gambling is no crime, so then he is not showing us a negative thing. If parents disapprove of him
gambling, then they should outlaw it because he is not doing anything wrong. Michael, and other
athletes as well, is aware that he is constantly being watched by millions and tries to act accordingly.
There has been a major controversy in the NBA lately thanks to Charles
Barkley and his claim in an interview that he is not a role model, but that is the job of the parent. He
says that parents shouldn t be blaming the athletes if they can t control their own children. Another
person that agrees with this notion is football and basketball star Deion Sanders. Barkley has paid over
$80,000 in fines over a period of two years. He

The Imperialist Practices Of The Western World Essay
For years the imperialistic practices of the western world caused unrest and turmoil in other parts of
the world. A new political idea and cultural view, that states should be organized exclusively around
ethnic unities, clashed with imperialistic practices. This new political idea was called nationalism.
Together, imperialism and nationalism would add the fuel needed to ignite the great world war.
Innovations in warfare through modern industry, would prove to be the metaphoric and literal fire of
damage. World War I would become the most destructive and reformative wars of all of the previous
wars in history. Imperialism, the desire to expand empires overseas through colonization, began as
early as the 1400 s. European s began what is known as the voyages of discovery . These expeditions
allowed them to take advantage of trade networks across Africa and Asia. The Europeans used their
desire to spread Christianity, opportunity for profits, and expansion of their empires, as reasons for
colonizing other regions. Imperialism often led to the devastation of the native cultures through
humiliation, slavery, torture, and depopulation through killing and disease. The imperialistic view of
westerners, being superior to other cultures, carried on through centuries (Pavlac, pp. 189 190). The
political idea of nationalism originated in the 1800 s in Haiti, who had been colonized by Spain and
Portugal. The philosophy behind nationalism is that states should be organized around

If I could be an animal for a day, I would be a parrot. Parrots can talk, are very colorful, and can fly up
to 60 MPH. Warm climates are were parrots are mainly found. The biggest diversities exist in
Australia, Central America, and South America. There are many different birds that are considered
parrots, such as Macaws, Amazons, Lorikeets, Lovebirds, and Cockatoos. They all have curved beaks.
Most parrots eat, seeds, fruit, flowers, nuts, buds, and some small creatures such as insects. I would
want to be a parrot so I could fly around, and look at all the unique places. When I am a parrot I would
want to go see Tikal. I would be able to fly up to 765 ft high, so I would definitely be able to spot

Snowboarding Research Paper
I have been snowboarding since 2005, and since then I have been passionate about the sport. When i
m not snowboarding, I like to watch snowboarding; when i m not watching snowboarding, i m
probably just adding things to my Burton shopping cart and wishing I was a pro so that I could afford
them. Now before I jump into this essay, I will first give you a background on the history of the sport.
The original concept that the snowboard is based upon is the snurfer . Developed on Christmas Day,
1965 by Sherman Poppen in Muskegon, Michigan. In 1968, Tom Sims furthered the sport by
developing the very first snowboard. Then in 1977 Jake Burton Carpenter developed the first bindings
and changed the sport forever.
Why do I like snowboarding? To understand why I like snowboarding, you have to go to the root of
who I am, an adrenaline junky. Going fast is who I am so when I strap my boots into my bindings for
those pre planned speed runs and the jitters set in, I know it s time to shred. Every season I snowboard,
my skills continue to grow and I continually push myself to new limits whether it is hitting bigger
jumps or going balls to the wall and going as fast as possible down the mountain. This seasonal ...

Various individuals in America contemplated whether the nation would survive. Regardless of the way
that the United States had little history of gigantic social change or topple tries against the
organization, hunger has a negative strategy for blending those interests among any people. As bread
turmoil ridden situations and shantytowns created in number, many began to search for different
choices to nothing new. Showings in the nation s capital extended, as Americans turned out to be
logically drained with President Hoover s evident inaction. The demonstrating that drew the most
national thought was the Bonus Army stroll of 1932. In 1924, Congress repaid veterans of World War

The Tennessee River was obligated to genuine irregular flooding, and course along the conduit s

left a bill working behind the TVA, thusly joining each one of the activities of the distinctive
government associations in the zone and putting them under the control of a singular one. An immense
program of building dams, hydroelectric making stations, and surge control wanders took after. The
blend of an extensive extent of specific strengths with a sentiment social obligation to the region made
the TVA enormous as a model of regular resource masterminding. Its region is generally limited to the
leakage bowl of the Tennessee River, which covers parts of seven states: Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky,
Mississippi, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia. The TVA is an open endeavor spoke to by a
main collection of three administrators named by the president with the direction and consent of the
Senate. The dependability of the TVA was immediately tried upon the association s establishment,
nonetheless it was kept up by the Supreme Court by virtue of Ashwander v. Tennessee Valley
Authority (1936) and in later decisions. The most disputable movement of the TVA is the generation

contracts with districts and cooperatives to supply discount control for conveyance and has joined
with them in obtaining the offices of exclusive electric service organizations in the area. These buys
have set up a coordinated power benefit zone in which the TVA is the sole provider of force. The TVA

Role Of Female Nature In Frankenstein
In the novel Frankenstein, the author Mary Shelley reinforced the role of female nature in a book that
is predominantly male oriented. The female character is an underlying feature throughout the whole
novel. For example, when Victor Frankenstein created his Monster from dead body parts, he
disregarded the laws of female reproduction. Both Anne K. Mellor and Jonathon Bate argue that
Victor defiled the feminine nature when he created his Monster from unnatural means. Mellor argued
in her essay, Possessing Nature: The Female in Frankenstein, that Victor eliminated the necessity to
have females at all (355). There will not be a need for females if new beings are created in a
laboratory. The disruption of mother nature is one of the novel s original sins (479). In Bate s essay,
Frankenstein and the State of Nature, he argued that Victor Frankenstein broke the balance between
female principles of maternity and mother nature (477). Frankenstein broke nature and undermined
the role of females. The argument of Mellor was more persuasive than the discussion of Bate because
she was able to provide more evidence that Victor Frankenstein dishonored the role of female nature.
In Mary Shelley s novel, nature plays a vital role in the development of the plot. Nature is considered
a female part because Mother Nature is the collective personification of life. Nature is life bearing and
nurturing, as females are to their offspring. In spite of nature being feminine, Victor

Longboarding Vs Longboard Research Paper
The feeling riders get as they are skating around town on a nice sunny day, with all of their buddies, is
one of the best feelings in the world. Many people do not know this, but there is actually more than
one type of skating. The two biggest types are skateboarding and longboarding. There are many
similarities and differences between the two. The first being the length and style of the deck.
Longboards are generally longer and shaped differently than a regular skateboard. Second, would be
how the board is ridden and the different tricks riders can do on each type of board. Regardless, people
can ride and cruise on either type. The last comparison is the price difference between the two boards.

Most of the time, longboards are more expensive than skateboards because they have bigger trucks,
wheels, and the deck is longer. This is not always the case though. If a skateboard is more expensive
than a longboard, the longboard is more than likely a cheaper made board with lower quality trucks
and wheels. This does not mean the board is terrible, it just means it was made cheaper so that more
people can afford to buy it. Skateboards are the same way. The good brands of skateboard decks like
Baker, Anti Hero, Plan B, Deathwish, etc... are normally $40 $60. Longboards decks, especially
brands like Sector 9, Globe, Landyachtz, etc... can start at around $75 and can get up to over $200 for
just the deck. Even though every board is different in price, they are all equally as enjoyable to

Project Team Responsibilities for Execution Phase
Project Manager is responsible for performance measurement which includes finding variances
between planned and actual work, cost and schedule. The project manager assigns the tasks to the
team members and they follow the required course of action. The project manager provides the status
reports to all the vital stakeholders in order to provide visibility. The Stakeholders review the metrics
and variance and initiate necessary steps for the variances determined in order to complete the project
within budget and time.
The basic processes of the Project Execution and Control are the execution of the project plan and
reviewing the metrics and producing the status reports. The change control process defines the
procedures to handle the changes that are introduced during the project execution and control phase.
The facilitating processes during Project Execution and Control can be: * Quality Assurance and
Quality Control. * Performance Monitoring. * Information Distribution or Status Reporting. * Project
Administration. * Risk Monitoring and Control. * Scope Control. * Schedule and Cost Control. *

style was dominant in Brazil and spread all over the country until the 19th century. In the 19th century

immigrants. He did not have a proper education past grade school so he put his interest towards art. At

Rheumatic arthritis (RA) is a chronic, progressive disorder that commonly presents a group of

RA patients. The aetiology for RA is unclear, however, a combination of hereditary susceptibility

factors such as the immunological, hormonal and environmental factors plays a role in development of

Theme Of Political Education In Fahrenheit 451
Ray Bradbury displays a dystopian society in the midst of intense conflict with no value for education
in his novel Fahrenheit 451. A day at school in the world of Fahrenheit 451 would often involve
attending classes such as an hour of TV class , baseball, basketball or running, and painting, opposed
common classes such as math, english, science and history. At a glance, one might not be able to see
the drastic similarity between these two worlds, but in fact there is a major one. Where do children
recieve their political education, where are they displaying their critical thinking? Both aspects of
education are crucial in a child s education. Political education and critical thinking provide children
with the tools that they will need to prevent the government from manipulating them and the rest of
society. Without these tools, an epidemic of ignorance flows upon society, which is what clearly
occurs in Fahrenheit 451. In the middle of a lengthy and continuous war, but with the persecution of
knowledge apparent, political education is the obvious, yet regrettably unobtainable solution to this
conflict. In general, the citizens of Bradbury s dystopian society have little to no interest in politics
whatsoever. The two citizens who are the prime examples of proving this statement
Hodges 2 are Mildred s friends Mrs. Phelps and Mrs. Bowles, with their blatant ignorance in regards
to politics. Most likely in our society, political discussion would be on the latest

Argument Against Solitary Confinement
The concern of the effects solitary confinement has on those who experience it has also called up the
opinions of religious figures. Pope Francis condemned solitary confinement and all capital punishment
sometime in October 2014. Roughly translated by Jean Casella on solitarywatch.com the Pope said,
One form of torture is sometimes applied by imprisonment in maximum security prisons. With the
motive of providing greater security to the community or special treatment for certain categories of

correctional facilities must now follow. They include increasing the amount of time inmates placed in
solitary can spend outside their cells, housing prisoners in the least restrictive setting necessary to

musicians but dancers, and whites and blacks alike. Swing music was brought north during the Great
Migration were most Jazz musicians in New Orleans relocated to the north to escape Jim Crow laws
and racism in the south. These musicians mostly stayed in Harlem and influenced Jazz music very
much during this era. During the swing era, two types of bands arose in New York and the Eastern

dancers athletically. Swing music was the reason new dances emerged during the 30 s and 40 s. The

Climate And Paleoclimatology
4.0 Measuring and Noticing the Change
4.1 Paleoclimatology
The Earth has maintained records of its climatic conditions in glaciers and ice caps, sediments from
lakes and oceans, within the skeletons of coral reefs, as well as tree rings. The study of these samples
is known as paleoclimatology. These environmental recorders can be used by scientists to estimate
past conditions. Common findings from paleoclimatologists (those who study environmental evidence
to gain insight on what the past climate was like and why) indicate that the Earth s climate is always
changing. Further examination shows that the Earth s climate is able to drastically shift in a matter of
years or decades. A main focus in paleoclimatology is to distinguish whether the ... Show more

As the layers are marked based on seasonal variations in snow, the isotopic composition of the
precipitation is examined further to determine the temperature when and where the snow fell.
Similarly, examining the isotopic properties of wind blown dust allows for the material to be traced
back to its origin. Anything that is within the atmosphere has the potential to end up in an ice core, and
more often than not remains unchanged over time. Trapped gases in air bubbles are highly reliable
records of atmospheric composition. Slight differences between bubbles and air composition caused
by gravitational and thermal effects, are well understood and recognizable. Certain chemical reactions
in impure ice can possibly produce abnormal compositions for some gases. However, due to the close
association of the gas and ice chemistry, it is a clear indicator of climate change (Óskarsson, 2004).
Ice core records are generally cross referenced with other ice core records along with other methods of
instrumental climate records to confirm findings. Statistical and physical analyses are needed to put
small, one time changes into perspective. Meanwhile, large changes in the concentrations of most
materials in ice, reflect changes in their atmospheric loading.
Similar to layers of snow accumulating on top of glaciers or ice caps, billions of tons of sediment
accumulate on the ocean floor and in lake basins each year and

Jane Eyre Development
Jane Eyre follows the moral development of a young scared girl to a strong and unwavering woman.
Through each stage of her development was an imperious male character. Jane first encounters John
Reed, a spoiled and obscene person. She shortly after encounters the intensely bitter Mr. Brocklehurst.
Mr. Brocklehurst seemed like a good man at first but proved to be far from that. Next was Edward
Rochester. While he was by no means as harsh as John Reed or Mr.Brocklehurst he was cruel in his
own way. Finally, the last strong male character was St. John Rivers. He is cold hearted and repressed.

and a crowd in Boston. In the evening of that day, tension would reach a bloody and dangours point
resulting in what has been named The Boston Massacre which had also been called the Incident on

The mob grew to over 300 angry colonists. In the mob of angry colonist there was confusion, some

Recently we have seen sizeable business, corporations, governmental agencies, and banking
institutions, which we perceive as extremely secure, broken into. Vulnerabilities, uncovered by
hackers who in turn exploit them in out of date infrastructure standards and developments such as the
Internet of Things (IoT) have emerged to present an entirely new set of infrastructure challenges.
Hackers continue to develop novel methods to breach the security of the institutions they target. These
methods are increasingly more sophisticated and difficult to detect with the tools and programs
designed to detect attacks and intrusions. In addition, with this increasing amount of threats, fresh

Infant Eye Development Book Report
Growing up we use our key senses to understand and live in the world around us. After birth newborns
eyes are still developing and cannot make out fine details far away. Newborns vision is around 20/240,
but by 6 months their vision clears up to around 20/40. At birth infants are genetically programmed to
know who their mother is and by three months they can match voices with their gender and ethnic
groups. Along with being better to distinguish voices, newborns sense of colors also enhances with
age. Perceptual vision is very important for infant eye development. This is necessary because without
this ability they would see an object at a different distance or in a different orientation, they would
perceive it as a different object (Santrock 161). There are two main factors for this size constancy, ...

of a drop off. They then would put their mother on the other end calling the babies names, but none

a color increase perception, young children start to develop the ability to overcome gravity bias. After
childhood, vision no longer increase, but starts to actually decrease around the age of 40 to 59.
Presbyopia happens because there is a decrease of blood supple to the eye and the retina becomes less
sensitive to different stimulus. Because the retina is not as active as previous years, it becomes hard
for older people to see that well in the dark, and especially driving at night becomes especially
dangerous. Color and depth perception also decrease with age. Older adults have a harder time

E. Coli Experiment
Introduction
In the experiment we conducted there were many method in which we could have used to help us
manipulate and identify bacterium on different agar plates. First part of the experiment involved the
manipulation of the bacterial growth where we used different streaking methods to see which method
was best suited to give me colonies. We have used 2 types of bacteria Escherichia coli (E. coli) and
Yakult (Lactobacillus casei). E. coli is a bacteria that is rod shaped, Gram negative and is a genus of
enterobacteriacae, the rate of its growth varies on if the right conditions are met which include the
right PH, temperature, energy source and nutrient. Yakult consists of probiotic bacteria which is good

MacConkey agar is a selective agar which is a good medium to use for E. coli since it does not contain
bile salt and crystal violet, it contains a PH indicator which gives it colour red, it is also a disaccharide
known as lactose. Lactose is a sugar molecule that is derived from Galactose and glucose . MRS agar
was developed by de Man, Rogosa and Sharpe who decided it was best to have a different media
which can be used for cultivating bacteria, this media is nonselective and lactobacillus can grow on it,
they found out that acetate and citrate helps the growth of lactobacillus (De MAN, ROGOSA, and
SHARPE, 1960). Gram staining was first used by Hans Christian Gram who devised this method to
help identify bacteria, Gram positive bacteria have a bigger peptidoglycan and smaller lipid content in
comparison to Gram negative bacteria. This was first tested in 1882 and later published in 1884, it the
most common technique used by microbiologist. Being able to manipulate bacteria gives us an

Reflection To Return To The Classroom Culture As A...
Reaction to Ginott Quote The Ginott quote reminds me of my years as a preschool teacher. I had times
that I was more inspiring than torturous, and times that were more miserable than joyous.
Unfortunately, this same sediment echoed down the halls of the school. I was a requested teacher and I
knew that I loved to work with kids, but I was having a hard time being trapped in a room with them
for eight hours. I lacked knowledge and resources but fully understood the impact I had on the
children in the class. I knew I had to leave and learn, before I did damage. The variation in the way
that I viewed my position is one of the reasons I returned to school to continue my education. That
was almost four years ago. Since then, I have completed my bachelors and am working on my
masters. I plan to return to the classroom culture as an elementary school counselor. During my hiatus,
there was a lot of time to reflect on things that I did well and things that I need to improve on. There
are three areas within the Ginott quote that relate to areas of improvement: 1) personal approach, 2)
daily mood, 3) escalate crisis. Personal Approach. According to Ginott, It is my personal approach that
creates the climate (Hardin, 2013, p. 11 12). I was known for having extravagant themed lessons.

Currently in Canada there are no government regulations placed upon video and film making. The
certification of Canadian films and videos is passed off to the Canadian National Film Board, which

the Canadian National Film Board is to certify it a film classifies as Canadian, yet does not regulate its

the United Kingdom. If Canadian film and video was regulated by the government, certainly some
regulations may affect its growth compared to other countries without regulations. While others would
help guide the industry towards a new path of growth and success. Canadian films and videos have,
historically, had a difficult time breaking into the industry. With our close neighbour the United States

Canadian made feature films have had in penetrating Canadian movie theatres, television has been
their most reliable means of distribution (Gasher, Skinner, Lorimer, 2012,229). Certain Canadian
government regulations on film and video could help change this unbalanced representation of film

Companies that were going bankrupt months before were now literally begging for labourers and
some even suffered from a shortage of workers. This was mainly due to the rapid production levels the
country needed to produce military equipment including ammunition and vehicles etc. A short time
after the U.S. declaration of war, the unemployment rate dropped a massive ten per cent from its
previous amount. After taxes, business profits almost doubled and industrial output increased
massively at 96 per cent. Government expenditure also sored dramatically to 53 per cent of GDP at its
peak in 1945, in comparison to around 20 per cent of GDP previous to the war. This contributed to
business recovery and gave companies the kick start they needed. Due to productivity doubling,
consumer goods also expanded. The war consumed one third of industrial output and this ensured a
constant supply of goods, the U.S being the only country with a significant rise in supply despite
rationing. Wages also rose 50 per cent higher by 1944, this was a combination of over time pay and
wage increases etc.
Men were drafted out to fight in the war in large numbers which contributed to unemployment figures
creating jobs for others. Those that previously were skilled, high paid labourers and worked in
industries such as welding etc. were forced to sign up to the military.

Lady With The Dog
n The Lady with the Dog, Chekhov uses setting to enhance the mood of the story. The story begins on
the coastal town of Yalta during the hot summer. The strange light on the sea, the soft warm lilac hue
of the water and the golden streak from the moon upon it sets the tone for a budding summer romance.
The fact that the two main characters first meeting takes place in a garden setting signifies a love
about to bloom. Chekhov also uses the season/weather in his story. The summer in Yalta is the start of
a hopefully steamy affair for Gurov and the lady with the white Pomeranian. They spend a lot of time
walking, talking and dining together and taking in the smell of the sea. They watch the steamers go by.

The Negative Effects Of Technology In Schools
This paper explores the addition of technology in schools and effects it has on students. The purpose
of the research was to reveal that the positives of adding technology outweigh the negatives.
Technology has the power to enhance learning for students and to overall create a better learning
experience for everyone. This is proven by showing examples of schools that have already
implemented technology in the classroom and the positive results that came with it, as well as the
negatives and worries many people have with technology, and how to avoid it. Overall the research
has shown that students have a better time learning with the addition of technology, and that negatives
of technology can be easily avoided. In today s society, technology plays a major role in the way
people operate in their daily lives. It is being used as a tool for people to improve their surroundings
by having quick and easy access to a large amount of information anytime they want. With the rapid
growth, schools and teachers around the world have implemented many different forms of technology
to enhance student interest and achievement. This has entered into teaching methods such as online
testing, online reading assignments, research information and many others. The use of technology in
school nowadays has become inevitable, but some may argue that this increased use has harmed the
development and learning of the students. Given that the positives of technology outweigh the
negatives;

Technology Is Changing Our Minds For the Better published by Penguin Group, argues that the
development of technology of mass communication improves the user s writing and their ability to
collaborate. To support his argument, he incorporates statistics to show the enormity of the production
of writing, anecdotes to connect with the reader s emotions, experiments to support the claim that
people perform better in front of an audience, Stanford Study of Writing to support the claim that
students are writing more than before and history to debate how the ... Show more content on

This is extremely relevant to the topic of the audience effect. This evidence is used to persuade us that
the audience effect does exist for the better, just like when an author posts a blog for the entire world
to view. Thompson used a survey of mathematicians about the question of multiples. He argues that
with more communication, we can use better teamwork to discover solutions more efficiently. The
respondents were asked if they did the same work as another person unknowingly. 31% agreed to this
statement and noted that if they worked together, they think they would have completed the task more
efficiently. I question its credibility because of the anonymity of the surveyors and the ambiguity of
the methods. However, I find the opinions shared by the mathematicians very valuable because they
are one of the best at what they do. I do find this evidence sufficient because professionals were
interviewed. Thompson includes this survey because it clearly supports his claim. I find this extremely
relevant to because it is about the topic of interconnections and can be strongly, positively correlated
to the lack of communication before. Thompson uses anecdotes that are easily relatable and have a
great expression of feelings. One of them is about the experiences of Ory Okolloh, a Kenyan law
student studying in the United States, blogging about the tragic current events of her home

Superstring Theories
My interests in physics surround the central theme of developing a unified description of the
fundamental laws of the universe that is based on underlying symmetries and devoid of free,
dimensionless parameters. Superstring theories are one class of theory that endeavours to provide such
a description. My graduate research has included projects in both theoretical developments using type
IIB supergravity (SUGRA), as well as its application via the AdS/CFT correspondence.
A string theory description of a standard model type theory is only made possible by the intro duction
of D branes as sources of background flux in compact extra dimensions. The dynamics of the D
branes and the fluxes supported by the branes themselves are ... Show more content on

We showed that including backreacting D3 branes in warped compactifications did not produce
divergences in the effective action and so represented a consistent theory from dimensional reduction.
Due to the self duality of the five form field strength (i.e. F5 = ⋆F5), we were able to describe the D3
brane compensators in terms of either electric like charge sources via d ⋆ F5 = ⋆Je with dF5 = 0, or
magnetic like charge sources via dF5 = ⋆Jm with d ⋆ F5 = 0. We further showed that other moduli of
warped compactifications, such as the universal volume modulus and its associated axion considered
in [5], could be recast in terms of electric or magnetic descriptions similar to the D3 branes.
In ongoing work with A. Frey, I am continuing to develop the description of monopole like sources in
extra dimensions. As an application, we consider a magnetic monopole in Minkowski spacetime. By
writing the field strength as the sum of a local source term plus a global total derivative, we are able to
derive the magnetic analogue of the Lorentz force law without the need of non physical dual
potentials.
One of the most widely recognized results to come from string theory is the gauge/gravity cor
respondence [6]. The most famous AdS/CFT duality is between classical gravitation in AdS5×S5 and
a superYang Mills SU(N) gauge theory living on the conformal boundary of AdS5. However, the
duality exists more

Allusions Of Animals In Macbeth
In the same way that many people today might perceive crickets as lucky , or of black cats as unlucky
, most people in 16th and 17th century England, when William Shakespeare was alive and writing his
plays, had commonly held beliefs about what certain animals represented or symbolized. Shakespeare
is still read, performed and loved today because of his seemingly very deep understanding of human
nature, as well as his solid grasp on what his audience knew, understood, and could relate to. He used
this understanding when writing the play Macbeth, when he utilized allusions to commonly known
animals such as owls, ravens, and bears, to convey the creepy tone of the play as well as the
impending sense of dread that builds throughout the story. In this way, Shakespeare displays his ability
to use commonly held perceptions of different types of animals to convey his tone to people in all
classes of society in 16th and 17th century England. One of the animals that Shakespeare alluded to
heavily in Macbeth is the owl. While Macbeth is off killing King Duncan, Lady Macbeth says, It was
the owl that shrieked, the fatal bellman, which gives the stern st good night, and then later, in the same
scene, Lady Macbeth tells Macbeth, I heard the owl scream and the crickets cry, (Shakespeare Act II,
scene ii). This animal based imagery evokes a sense of creepiness and evil, even in a modern
audience, despite the fact that most people think of owls in a more positive light now than they did
back then. In Shakespeare s time, the allusion would have been even more powerful. Although the owl
was praised as a symbol of Athena in Ancient Greece, the people in Europe in the Middle Ages
thought of it as sinister and shady, due to the fact that it only comes out to hunt in the dark, and its
feathers and wings are constructed so that it can fly completely silently. That sort of mindset carried
into the 16th and 17th centuries, where the owls still carried a deceitful and wicked connotation (Rijks
1). Since owls were widely perceived in such a way in that time period, people in the audience would
assume, possibly even subconsciously, that bad and evil things were happening onstage if there were
references being made to owls, the

Gang Violence in New York as Presented by West Side Story
Gang Violence in New York as Presented by West Side Story
Gangs have been occupied New York City for hundreds of years. In the 1950s, the city saw a rise of
Latino immigrants from Latin America, the Caribbean, and notably Puerto Rico as well as a rise in
gang violence. Leonard Bernstein s musical West Side Story uses the real world subject of gang
warfare in New York City to depict a modern day adaptation of Romeo and Juliet by playing into the
ethnic divide between the two gangs, but in doing so it simultaneously acts as a medium through
which the uninformed public can learn about the culture of the gangs from this time.
Street gangs in the northeast of the United States came about in three phases. The first phase took
place after the American Revolution and consisted of youth fighting over turf. The second phase of
street gangs started to emerge in 1820, which coincided with a rise of immigration. This is when
serious ganging began taking place. In the 1930s and 1940s, the Latino and Black populations grew,
and eventually, over two thirds of the gangs in New York were Puerto Rican or Black. This third phase
of gang activity is the subject for Leonard Bernstein s West Side Story, which features the Puerto
Rican Sharks and the Polish American Jets and the romantic relationship between two people, one
from each gang, which suffers to exist amidst the violence between the two gangs.
Gang culture was not necessarily known to the public, but the show s creators tried to

Health Care Marketing Reflection Essay
Health Care Marketing Reflection Essay
Markets change, tastes change, so the companies and the individuals who choose to compete in those
markets must change. ( Wang, n.d. as cited by Morrison, p. 113). In modern medicine, disease
treatment is more importance than disease prevention, as doctors focus more on treatment of
symptoms of rather than determining its root cause. This is mirrored in the media by the large numbers
of direct consumer advertisements aimed at persuading patients themself to ask their doctors about
various drug. Direct consumer marketing in the health care industry is allowed in the USA. The health
care industry includes numerous subdivisions devoted to make available health care services and
products. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is true that the patients are more willing to discuss their symptoms as they saw those symptoms
referred in the advertisements, but this does not improve the patient communication, as most of the
patients are only interested in asking for a prescription as advertised with barely any information of
the relevant medical facts. The doctors when asked for a specific prescription may give it to the
patient, rather than talk more about the condition leading to over medicated and unhealthy society.
Not enough lashes? Ask your doctor about LATISSE the first and only FDA approved treatment that
grows lashes longer, fuller and darker. (Allergan, Inc. 2010). The commercial featuring Brooke
Shields, a celebrity urging customers to use Latisse to grow fuller lashes. Sometimes the consumer
does not even look at the side effect; if it s good for the celebrity it is good for them. Advertisements
like these use strategies that generate false impressions, manipulate, and lead on consumers instead of
enlightening them about the drug.
Most advertisements are impractical in representing medicines part in attaining health, downplaying
drug risks, presenting visual elements to distract consumers like an antihistamine commercial showing
a moving buzzing bee as the risk information is read. Various advertisements show people reclaim full
control of their lives after consuming the drug. The advertisements do

The Yellow Wallpaper Female Hysteria Essay
Until the medical breakthroughs that we have made in the modern day, psychology as a science was
not fully understood. Modern technology has given us a clearer idea of psychology, but in the past
there was less known about the science. This alongside a predominantly male medical discourse led to
a medical diagnosis in many women called hysteria. Female hysteria was a medical diagnosis given to
specifically women as far back as the ancient Greek civilization. Hysteria started as a supernatural
phenomena, but as medicine evolved it would be described as a mental disorder, (Tasca). Hysteria. in
actuality, is an absurd and fabricated diagnosis that institutionalized and discriminated countless
women. The way it makes a women feel, and the fact that it strips a woman of any sort of free will is a
sickening display of blatant misogyny. The Yellow Wallpaper by Charlotte Perkins Gilman perfectly
displays not only the misogyny, but the torture a woman must face trapped under a hysteria diagnosis.
Hysteria as a diagnoses fails to effectively treat many women, instead leading to the mistreatment and
wrongful institutionalization of women.
Female hysteria as a diagnosis was prominent in ancient ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In an article titled, Why I Wrote The Yellow Wallpaper , Gilman talks about her personal experience
with the rest cure, also denouncing the diagnosis as a whole. For many years I suffered from a severe
and continuous nervous breakdown tending to melancholia and beyond. (Gilman). While this ailment
would not be handled as heavily today, Gilman would actually be subject to the rest cure by Silas Weir
Mitchel himself. Mitchel would tell Gilman to live as domestic a life as far as possible , (to) have but
two hours intellectual life a day , and never to touch pen, brush, or pencil again. Like the fate of her
stories protagonist, the treatment would almost drive Gilman

Political Issues On Climate Change Essay
Political Issues on Climate Change In today s political climate, individuals are more polarized than
ever over climate issues. We don t see much agreement that for whatever the reason, climate change is
affecting the Earth. The issues over climate change has hit the media and the environmentalist has
done a lot to shined light on the issue as well but, a lot of the citizens still believe that global warming
isn t real. If we are not educated about the issues regarding a sustainable living and about the climate
changes going on in current world, then the issue can t be solved. Educating children when they are
young can be a great way to teach living a sustainable life style. We the people and the politicians
need to take a stand and create awareness in schools about living a sustainable life and educate the
new generations to care about the negative human impacts on the world. To begin with, is the problem
of climate change or what we call global warming and how it s affecting the planet we call home.
Climate change is when you start to notice things around you in the environment changing like when
the winters become much warmer and the summer temperatures hitting record highs. Also, when you
start your television to notice the extreme floods tearing down our cities and then afterwards they don
t see rainfall for weeks which then, leads to the extreme droughts and fires. For instance, we create
pollution and that leads to greenhouse gases which traps in heat in

analyzing the problem. Implement response strategies and problem solving approach. The heroin
making its way through the community was discovered by a concerned citizen and is very involved in

  • 2. Global Operations And Supply Chain Management Global Operations and Supply Chain Management Competitive Alternatives Survey A company involved in manufacturing medical devices decides to begin sourcing components internationally. As for now, it operates in the United States and Germany only. So, senior management should assess the relative manufacturing costs worldwide to choose where to source. This decision will be made based on manufacturing costs. Cities with the Lowest and Highest Manufacturing Costs The latest Competitive Alternatives survey was published by KPMG in 2016. It is the comparison of more than 100 cities in 10 countries all over the globe. The key finding of the report is that Mexico has the highest relative cost advantage if compared to the United States, and Japan has the lowest (KPMG, 2016). However, the area of interest of this investigation is to determine three cities with the highest and the lowest manufacturing costs for the company s specific industry medical devices manufacturing. The 2016 report specifies that Monterrey and Mexico City in Mexico offer the lowest prices if taking into consideration facility cost (factory rent). The same is true about utility (electricity and natural gas), labor (salaries, statutory plans, etc.), and transportation (surface and air fright) costs. In general, Mexico is an attractive destination for sourcing because manufacturing costs are almost 22 percent lower than in the United States (Medical devices, 2016). • 4. Essay about Why Athletes are Good Role Models Why Athletes are Good Role Models Ever since the ancient years, we have admired athletes and the hard work that they do to achieve their goal of winning. We idolize them and wish we were more like them. What happens though when the realization sinks in that they are human too and that some of them do get greedy and selfish? A lot of athletes are model citizens that you should really look up to, but there are also some bad apples in the bunch that ruin it for everyone. Athletes can inspire young people to work hard so that their efforts can pay off, but no one is pure and flawless. Greed does take a hold of some players, but they shouldn t be the ones we devote all of our attention to. We should look at the positive ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... They are making us believe that all athletes are bad people with their propaganda. If they spent half the time covering the good hearted stories that they do the bad ones, we would have a different opinion on the hard working athlete. Michael Jordan has started a foundation that donates money for research to help physically challenged children. He has been running up the tabs at Atlantic City casinos, but who hasn t gambled? We are not perfect. Michael may gamble, but he does his share of helping and works hard for what he has acquired. Gambling is no crime, so then he is not showing us a negative thing. If parents disapprove of him gambling, then they should outlaw it because he is not doing anything wrong. Michael, and other athletes as well, is aware that he is constantly being watched by millions and tries to act accordingly. There has been a major controversy in the NBA lately thanks to Charles Barkley and his claim in an interview that he is not a role model, but that is the job of the parent. He says that parents shouldn t be blaming the athletes if they can t control their own children. Another person that agrees with this notion is football and basketball star Deion Sanders. • 5. The Imperialist Practices Of The Western World Essay For years the imperialistic practices of the western world caused unrest and turmoil in other parts of the world. A new political idea and cultural view, that states should be organized exclusively around ethnic unities, clashed with imperialistic practices. This new political idea was called nationalism. Together, imperialism and nationalism would add the fuel needed to ignite the great world war. Innovations in warfare through modern industry, would prove to be the metaphoric and literal fire of damage. World War I would become the most destructive and reformative wars of all of the previous wars in history. Imperialism, the desire to expand empires overseas through colonization, began as early as the 1400 s. European s began what is known as the voyages of discovery . These expeditions allowed them to take advantage of trade networks across Africa and Asia. The Europeans used their desire to spread Christianity, opportunity for profits, and expansion of their empires, as reasons for colonizing other regions. Imperialism often led to the devastation of the native cultures through humiliation, slavery, torture, and depopulation through killing and disease. The imperialistic view of westerners, being superior to other cultures, carried on through centuries (Pavlac, pp. 189 190). The political idea of nationalism originated in the 1800 s in Haiti, who had been colonized by Spain and Portugal. The philosophy behind nationalism is that states should be organized around ... When i m not snowboarding, I like to watch snowboarding; when i m not watching snowboarding, i m probably just adding things to my Burton shopping cart and wishing I was a pro so that I could afford them. Now before I jump into this essay, I will first give you a background on the history of the sport. The original concept that the snowboard is based upon is the snurfer . Developed on Christmas Day, 1965 by Sherman Poppen in Muskegon, Michigan. In 1968, Tom Sims furthered the sport by developing the very first snowboard. Then in 1977 Jake Burton Carpenter developed the first bindings and changed the sport forever. Why do I like snowboarding? To understand why I like snowboarding, you have to go to the root of who I am, an adrenaline junky. Going fast is who I am so when I strap my boots into my bindings for those pre planned speed runs and the jitters set in, I know it s time to shred. • 9. Role Of Female Nature In Frankenstein In the novel Frankenstein, the author Mary Shelley reinforced the role of female nature in a book that is predominantly male oriented. The female character is an underlying feature throughout the whole novel. For example, when Victor Frankenstein created his Monster from dead body parts, he disregarded the laws of female reproduction. Both Anne K. Mellor and Jonathon Bate argue that Victor defiled the feminine nature when he created his Monster from unnatural means. Mellor argued in her essay, Possessing Nature: The Female in Frankenstein, that Victor eliminated the necessity to have females at all (355). There will not be a need for females if new beings are created in a laboratory. The disruption of mother nature is one of the novel s original sins (479). In Bate s essay, Frankenstein and the State of Nature, he argued that Victor Frankenstein broke the balance between female principles of maternity and mother nature (477). Frankenstein broke nature and undermined the role of females. The argument of Mellor was more persuasive than the discussion of Bate because she was able to provide more evidence that Victor Frankenstein dishonored the role of female nature. In Mary Shelley s novel, nature plays a vital role in the development of the plot. Nature is considered a female part because Mother Nature is the collective personification of life. Nature is life bearing and nurturing, as females are to their offspring. In spite of nature being feminine, Victor ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

At a glance, one might not be able to see the drastic similarity between these two worlds, but in fact there is a major one. Where do children recieve their political education, where are they displaying their critical thinking? Both aspects of education are crucial in a child s education. Political education and critical thinking provide children with the tools that they will need to prevent the government from manipulating them and the rest of society. Without these tools, an epidemic of ignorance flows upon society, which is what clearly occurs in Fahrenheit 451. Common findings from paleoclimatologists (those who study environmental evidence to gain insight on what the past climate was like and why) indicate that the Earth s climate is always changing. She is going home to discover that her mother was right all along. The colors in the field represent the change that is about to happen in Jane. Yellow, the color of the sun, brings hope and happiness to the new day. The field of green represents new growth. Jane is on a journey that will help her grow as a person. The brown field is just as important as the others. It is the last one she notices looking out the train window as she arrives closer to Guangzhou and her roots. Setting also shapes the conflict within Jane. Is Chinese really in her blood or is she an All American girl? I think about what my mother said, about activating my genes and becoming Chinese. And I wonder what she meant. As people are pushing and shoving to get off the train and wait in line for customs, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 40. The Negative Effects Of Technology In Schools This paper explores the addition of technology in schools and effects it has on students. The purpose of the research was to reveal that the positives of adding technology outweigh the negatives. Technology has the power to enhance learning for students and to overall create a better learning experience for everyone. This is proven by showing examples of schools that have already implemented technology in the classroom and the positive results that came with it, as well as the negatives and worries many people have with technology, and how to avoid it. Overall the research has shown that students have a better time learning with the addition of technology, and that negatives of technology can be easily avoided. In today s society, technology plays a major role in the way people operate in their daily lives. It is being used as a tool for people to improve their surroundings by having quick and easy access to a large amount of information anytime they want. With the rapid growth, schools and teachers around the world have implemented many different forms of technology to enhance student interest and achievement. This has entered into teaching methods such as online testing, online reading assignments, research information and many others. The use of technology in school nowadays has become inevitable, but some may argue that this increased use has harmed the development and learning of the students. Given that the positives of technology outweigh the negatives; ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 41. Thompson Essay Nathaniel Lee Professor P. Hiebert RWS 100 07 10 September 2014 Thompson Essay Clive Thompson, in his chapter excerpt Public Thinking, from the book Smarter Than You Think: How Technology Is Changing Our Minds For the Better published by Penguin Group, argues that the development of technology of mass communication improves the user s writing and their ability to collaborate. To support his argument, he incorporates statistics to show the enormity of the production of writing, anecdotes to connect with the reader s emotions, experiments to support the claim that people perform better in front of an audience, Stanford Study of Writing to support the claim that students are writing more than before and history to debate how the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This is extremely relevant to the topic of the audience effect. This evidence is used to persuade us that the audience effect does exist for the better, just like when an author posts a blog for the entire world to view. Thompson used a survey of mathematicians about the question of multiples. He argues that with more communication, we can use better teamwork to discover solutions more efficiently. The respondents were asked if they did the same work as another person unknowingly. 31% agreed to this statement and noted that if they worked together, they think they would have completed the task more efficiently. I question its credibility because of the anonymity of the surveyors and the ambiguity of the methods. However, I find the opinions shared by the mathematicians very valuable because they are one of the best at what they do. I do find this evidence sufficient because professionals were interviewed. Thompson includes this survey because it clearly supports his claim. I find this extremely relevant to because it is about the topic of interconnections and can be strongly, positively correlated to the lack of communication before. Thompson uses anecdotes that are easily relatable and have a great expression of feelings. One of them is about the experiences of Ory Okolloh, a Kenyan law student studying in the United States, blogging about the tragic current events of her home ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 42. Superstring Theories My interests in physics surround the central theme of developing a unified description of the fundamental laws of the universe that is based on underlying symmetries and devoid of free, dimensionless parameters. Superstring theories are one class of theory that endeavours to provide such a description. My graduate research has included projects in both theoretical developments using type IIB supergravity (SUGRA), as well as its application via the AdS/CFT correspondence. A string theory description of a standard model type theory is only made possible by the intro duction of D branes as sources of background flux in compact extra dimensions. The dynamics of the D branes and the fluxes supported by the branes themselves are ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... We showed that including backreacting D3 branes in warped compactifications did not produce divergences in the effective action and so represented a consistent theory from dimensional reduction. Due to the self duality of the five form field strength (i.e. F5 = ⋆F5), we were able to describe the D3 brane compensators in terms of either electric like charge sources via d ⋆ F5 = ⋆Je with dF5 = 0, or magnetic like charge sources via dF5 = ⋆Jm with d ⋆ F5 = 0. We further showed that other moduli of warped compactifications, such as the universal volume modulus and its associated axion considered in [5], could be recast in terms of electric or magnetic descriptions similar to the D3 branes. In ongoing work with A. Frey, I am continuing to develop the description of monopole like sources in extra dimensions. As an application, we consider a magnetic monopole in Minkowski spacetime. By writing the field strength as the sum of a local source term plus a global total derivative, we are able to derive the magnetic analogue of the Lorentz force law without the need of non physical dual potentials. One of the most widely recognized results to come from string theory is the gauge/gravity cor respondence [6]. The most famous AdS/CFT duality is between classical gravitation in AdS5×S5 and a superYang Mills SU(N) gauge theory living on the conformal boundary of AdS5. However, the duality exists more ... • 43. Allusions Of Animals In Macbeth In the same way that many people today might perceive crickets as lucky , or of black cats as unlucky , most people in 16th and 17th century England, when William Shakespeare was alive and writing his plays, had commonly held beliefs about what certain animals represented or symbolized. Shakespeare is still read, performed and loved today because of his seemingly very deep understanding of human nature, as well as his solid grasp on what his audience knew, understood, and could relate to. He used this understanding when writing the play Macbeth, when he utilized allusions to commonly known animals such as owls, ravens, and bears, to convey the creepy tone of the play as well as the impending sense of dread that builds throughout the story. In this way, Shakespeare displays his ability to use commonly held perceptions of different types of animals to convey his tone to people in all classes of society in 16th and 17th century England. One of the animals that Shakespeare alluded to heavily in Macbeth is the owl. While Macbeth is off killing King Duncan, Lady Macbeth says, It was the owl that shrieked, the fatal bellman, which gives the stern st good night, and then later, in the same scene, Lady Macbeth tells Macbeth, I heard the owl scream and the crickets cry, (Shakespeare Act II, scene ii). This animal based imagery evokes a sense of creepiness and evil, even in a modern audience, despite the fact that most people think of owls in a more positive light now than they did back then. In Shakespeare s time, the allusion would have been even more powerful. Although the owl was praised as a symbol of Athena in Ancient Greece, the people in Europe in the Middle Ages thought of it as sinister and shady, due to the fact that it only comes out to hunt in the dark, and its feathers and wings are constructed so that it can fly completely silently. That sort of mindset carried into the 16th and 17th centuries, where the owls still carried a deceitful and wicked connotation (Rijks 1). Since owls were widely perceived in such a way in that time period, people in the audience would assume, possibly even subconsciously, that bad and evil things were happening onstage if there were references being made to owls, the ... • 44. Gang Violence in New York as Presented by West Side Story Gang Violence in New York as Presented by West Side Story Gangs have been occupied New York City for hundreds of years. In the 1950s, the city saw a rise of Latino immigrants from Latin America, the Caribbean, and notably Puerto Rico as well as a rise in gang violence. Leonard Bernstein s musical West Side Story uses the real world subject of gang warfare in New York City to depict a modern day adaptation of Romeo and Juliet by playing into the ethnic divide between the two gangs, but in doing so it simultaneously acts as a medium through which the uninformed public can learn about the culture of the gangs from this time. Street gangs in the northeast of the United States came about in three phases. The first phase took place after the American Revolution and consisted of youth fighting over turf. The second phase of street gangs started to emerge in 1820, which coincided with a rise of immigration. This is when serious ganging began taking place. In the 1930s and 1940s, the Latino and Black populations grew, and eventually, over two thirds of the gangs in New York were Puerto Rican or Black. This third phase of gang activity is the subject for Leonard Bernstein s West Side Story, which features the Puerto Rican Sharks and the Polish American Jets and the romantic relationship between two people, one from each gang, which suffers to exist amidst the violence between the two gangs. Health Care Marketing Reflection Essay Health Care Marketing Reflection Essay Markets change, tastes change, so the companies and the individuals who choose to compete in those markets must change. ( Wang, n.d. as cited by Morrison, p. 113). In modern medicine, disease treatment is more importance than disease prevention, as doctors focus more on treatment of symptoms of rather than determining its root cause. This is mirrored in the media by the large numbers of direct consumer advertisements aimed at persuading patients themself to ask their doctors about various drug. • 46. The Yellow Wallpaper Female Hysteria Essay Until the medical breakthroughs that we have made in the modern day, psychology as a science was not fully understood. Modern technology has given us a clearer idea of psychology, but in the past there was less known about the science. This alongside a predominantly male medical discourse led to a medical diagnosis in many women called hysteria. Female hysteria was a medical diagnosis given to specifically women as far back as the ancient Greek civilization. Hysteria started as a supernatural phenomena, but as medicine evolved it would be described as a mental disorder, (Tasca). Hysteria. in actuality, is an absurd and fabricated diagnosis that institutionalized and discriminated countless women. The way it makes a women feel, and the fact that it strips a woman of any sort of free will is a sickening display of blatant misogyny. The Yellow Wallpaper by Charlotte Perkins Gilman perfectly displays not only the misogyny, but the torture a woman must face trapped under a hysteria diagnosis. We don t see much agreement that for whatever the reason, climate change is affecting the Earth. The issues over climate change has hit the media and the environmentalist has done a lot to shined light on the issue as well but, a lot of the citizens still believe that global warming isn t real. If we are not educated about the issues regarding a sustainable living and about the climate changes going on in current world, then the issue can t be solved. Educating children when they are young can be a great way to teach living a sustainable life style. We the people and the politicians need to take a stand and create awareness in schools about living a sustainable life and educate the new generations to care about the negative human impacts on the world. To begin with, is the problem of climate change or what we call global warming and how it s affecting the planet we call home. Climate change is when you start to notice things around you in the environment changing like when the winters become much warmer and the summer temperatures hitting record highs. Also, when you start your television to notice the extreme floods tearing down our cities and then afterwards they don t see rainfall for weeks which then, leads to the extreme droughts and fires.
