What Should I Write My Essay On
Writing an essay on the topic "What Should I Write My Essay On" can be a challenging
endeavor, primarily because it requires a unique blend of self-reflection, creativity, and critical
thinking. The inherent paradox lies in the irony of trying to articulate the difficulty of choosing a
topic while actually attempting to choose a topic. It's a meta-cognitive maze where one
navigates the complexities of one's own thought process.
The struggle begins with the overwhelming multitude of potential subjects. The paradoxical
nature of the prompt forces introspection, demanding an exploration of personal interests,
passions, and experiences. Yet, the very act of deciding what to write about becomes an intricate
dance between self-doubt and the desire to find a topic that resonates deeply.
Moreover, the anxiety intensifies when considering the audience's perspective. Will the chosen
topic captivate the reader's attention? Does it possess the requisite depth and significance to
sustain an entire essay? The perpetual quest for uniqueness and relevance adds another layer of
complexity, as one grapples with the fear of producing a mundane or clichГ©d composition.
The struggle to find the perfect topic is further compounded by the awareness of the essay's
purpose. Is it meant to inform, persuade, entertain, or provoke thought? The ambiguity
surrounding the essay's intended impact adds an extra layer of pressure, making the process even
more formidable.
In the end, the difficulty lies not just in the act of writing but in the very decision of what to
write about. It's a journey into the intricacies of one's own mind, a quest for self-discovery
within the confines of a blank page. The paradoxical nature of the task makes it a formidable
challenge, a test of both intellectual and emotional resilience.
As a side note, for those grappling with this challenge, it's worth considering that help is
available. Similar essays and much more can be ordered on HelpWriting.net, offering a lifeline
to those navigating the labyrinth of essay topics.

Alison Bechdel Fun Home Analysis
Alison Bechdel uses her graphic memoir, Fun home, to explore her relationship
with her father. She uses the book as a tool to reflect on her life and the affect her
father had on her. She discovers how her fathers closeted sexuality affected her
childhood and her transition into adulthood. His death left a powerful mark and left
her searching for answers. She clearly states this when she says, it s true that he
didn t kill himself until I was nearly twenty. But his absence resonated retroactively,
echoing back through all the time I knew him. (23). This feeling drove her to look
back on their relationship and find what binds her so strongly to a man she never
understood. She discovered how her fathers closetedsexualityaffected her childhood,
her sexuality, and her relationship with literature.
Bechdel opens the book with a scene of her playing with her father. She uses this
memory of them playing airplane (3) to describe the normal part of their relationship.
This is contrasted by the frequent outbursts she describes throughout her childhood.
In chapter 1 she uses the film It s a Wonderful Life as an analogy. She draws a parallel
between George s rare outburst on his children to the frequent outburst her father
displayed as she grew up (11). This scene gives clear insight on how the relationship
with her father fluctuates between calm and strenuous. the inconsistences in their
relationship leads her question what connects her to her father. This dilemma is best

Frank. Brevik Of Cannibals Of Cannibals is an essay, one of those in the collection
Essays of Michel de Montaigne that was written at the end of a decisive period in the
history of humanity, the Renaissance. This period corresponds in France to the rise
of the bourgeoisie, the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries. This growth is directly
perceptible by several aspects, first and foremost the development of large cities in
Europe and France, a result of the eruption of a social class around the trade.
Montaigne was born in 1533 into a noble Catholic family. We (the French) are in the

Abstract
The central thesis of this paper examines the organizational structures of McDonalds,
Burger King, and Wendy s food restaurants. It will examine the comparison and
contrast of the organizational structure of McDonalds with Burger King, and Wendy s
Corporations. What functions influence McDonalds, and explains how the
organizational design helps determine the structure that best suits McDonalds needs,
as a business.

Essay on Multi-Agents for Decision Support Systems in...
Abstract:
With the advent of e systems; business and consumers have access to a plethora of
information which makes the decision making process more complex. The
overwhelming information flow makes it extremely difficult for decision makers to
analyze the available data and make precise decisions. Under such an information
intensive online environment, businesses need to make real time intelligent decisions
in order to stay economically and commercially viable. Multi agent systems have the
inherent ability to facilitate provision of an adequate decision support mechanism in
an e business setting. These multi agent decision support systems are of particular

Computer systems that have the inherent capacity to take decisions when required
are referred to as agents. These systems are designed to make intelligent choices
according to the situation. These agents when operate in a rapidly changing
environment where real time decision making is required are known as intelligent
agents. Typical examples of a multi agent systeminclude a computer program that
would perform an internet search for a typical query. The agent would synthesize the
relevant information from various web sources and return a document that would
carry relevant information based on our query (Weiss, 1999). Based on the prelude,
we may define an agent as An autonomous, reactive, pro active computer system,
typically with a central locus of control that is at least able to communicate with other
agents via some kind of communication language (Weiss, 1999)

Essay on The Messiah
The Messiah
Handel s classic piece, The Messiah is undoubtedly the best selection as our classes
choice for the time capsule. It has all the workings of a true musical masterpiece
and a beautiful message that all should know. Our song should be chosen as a piece
that has lived, will live on, and does justice to music. That is The Messiah.
Many of you (including myself) didn t quite realize who Handel was, let alone know
his oratorio The Messiah. Once Joel began to play it in class, the common phrase
shifted from, What? , to, Oh, the hallelujah song. It is a piece that nearly anyone, of
any generation, knows at least by its famous chorus, Hallelujah. That is a lot to say
for one song.
How many of your parents actually know ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
From the first aria for tenor, Every valley shall be exalted, to the thunderous final
Amen chorus, with the angels trumpeting the glory of God. Messiah is plentiful in
melody, extensive in the range of emotions portrayed and very accessible even to the
listener uninitiated in classical or choral/vocal music. (Wilson) What Handel created
in The Messiah is a piece with the variety of graceful melody and breathtaking
vocals(Del Rio).
Now all this concert talk may not make a lot of since to those of you who aren t
too familiar with the makings of music. To put your mind at ease, other more
familiar composers such as Mozart, Bach, and Beethoven have praised and studied
this accomplished work extensively. Many contemporay bands more familiar to us
also acclaim this work. Eddie vedder of Pearl Jam called it a dynamic classical
piece and noted it as an inspiration to music in general (Mulchevy). Beethoven even
went so far as to make the statement, Handel is the greatest composer that ever
lived. I would uncover my head and kneel down at his tomb! (Alexander). This
points out somewhat of his splendor, but to prove the greatness of The Messiah I
call on a story that holds as a custom to this day. During its first performance in
front of the then reigning King George II, His Majesty was so stirred by the power
of the chorus that he stood up in awe. The
Why Customers Want Cheaper Electricity
Customers Want Cheaper Electricity! Nationwide, only 20% of the business owner
feel that they are genuinely paying a fair price for their electricity usage and 80%
of the business owners who don t think they are paying a fair price complained and
announced that if electricity rates were not to be reduced soon, they would be forced
to close their business because of the proliferating electricity rates. The Australian
Government certainly would not want major of their businesses to abandon their
businesses. While the Australian Government has recently reduced the rates by
0.5%, the percent is insignificant and is of mere relevance. This is certainly
annoying for the poor business owners in Australia who are forced because of

They argued that if energy rates were to be reduced, they would need to find another
source to regain the loss caused by the reduction of the rates. This would probably
mean increasing the tax rates and cutting off money from social services like
hospitals. If they don t, then the Australian economy is seriously likely to face a huge
loss. The loss triggered by the decision to not increase the tax rates would impact
significantly on both Australian and International Markets in terms of economy as it
would conclude that the Australian government have to increase their trading rates
with neighboring countries such as India. While India might still be able to keep up
with this unexpected rise in the trading rates , many poorer countries might not.
Those countries will have to stop trading with Australia, which would effect their
economy. In conclusion, if consumer electricity rates were to be notably reduced, it
would force the Australian government to ,unfortunately, reduce the tax rates or cut
off money from hospitals. It would, in turn, become more expensive than it originally
was for consumers as they would end up paying more money on the taxes then they
originally did on electricity

Scrooge went through substantial changes. First, he went to his childhood

The Performance Of Tone Mapping
3 PREVIOUS WORK
Because of the great interest of HDR images and their advantages, tone mapping
techniques are used to display these images on LDR devices. Many researchers
made different studies for evaluating the performance of tone mapping algorithms.
Debevec and Malik proposed that a HDR image can be created from three or more
LDR images of the same scene under different exposures. Through technological
advances and the development of photograph technology, we can get access to
HDR cameras which can take HDR photos and videos directly now. Therefore,
there is an increasing demand for tone mapping algorithms. There are two types of
tone mapping algorithm: global operators and local operators. The global tone
mapping methods are simply mapped the input HDR image I^h (x,y) to an output
LDR image I^l (x,y) = f (I^h (x,y)) , where f () is a global compression function
which is spatially invariant, such as gamma function, linear function, histogram
based function and the function adapted to tone reproduction curves. Hence, the
local tone mapping methods decompose the input HDR image into multiple layers
or areas, apply different compressing algorithm in different layers or areas and
recombine all the layers or areas into a LDR image. Similar with Durand, Farbman
which segmented the HDR image into two layer a base layer and a detail layer,
while the base layer is obtained by applying an alternative edge reserving smoothing
operator and the detail layer is obtained by
Anne Valwood Angel Poetic Techniques
Words to Live By There are many quotes that have deep meanings to me, so it is
difficult for me to pick just one to write about. The difficulty in finding [a] quote(s)
is that almost nobody is going to feel and/or understand the way you interpret a

something that can explained, but something a person must feel. I guess since I
have to choose I would choose the lyrics to Angel by Theory of a Deadman. The

through an insane amount of tough experiences in her life from being bullied
from the time she started school at Lanier County until she moved to Valwood this
song has a meaning to me that cannot simply be expressed in words. The quote is
more than just the lyrics of a song. The words are an encouragement, and they are
meaningful. They inspire me to remember that even when I get knocked down I
need to get back up and be ready to fight. This quote is not simply something that
can be expressed in words because it conveys an emotional feeling that is
significant to me. The quote I chose is meaningful to me because it is about
someone who has been beaten down in ways others may not be able to comprehend,
but she prevails above all odds and is stronger and wiser for what she went
Importance Of Railway Transport
Rail This mode of transport is reliable and fast and one of the most important ways
by which people and goods are transported. (Train History , 2017) Rail transportation
is referred to as movement of on guideways and rails are the most common
guideways. However technological progress made monorails and magnetic levitation
trains now available and although railways are a result of the industrial revolution,
they have been affected by continuous innovations, technical, regulatory and
commercial changes which have enhanced their capacity and efficiency. Therefore
railway transportis important now as it was in the late 19th century. One innovation
pertains to the quality of the rail infrastructure, particularly rail tracks (e.g. better
steel, concrete ties), which regulates the operational characteristics of their use such
as speed, permitted weight, maintenance and immunity towards the environment.
Increasing electrification and automation also improve the efficiency of rail
transportation, passenger and freight alike. For safety purposes commodities ought to
be stowed on the trains in a certain manner for guaranteed railway delivery. (Slack,
1998) Based on the implementation by Transport Canada to strengthen the railway
and transportation of dangerous goods safety systems. The emergency directive
requires all rail operators to;
Ensure that no locomotive attached to one or more loaded tank cars transporting
dangerous goods is left unattended on a main track;
Comparison Of The Puritans
King Philip s war lead the Puritans into a horrifying situation with the Native
Americans. These Native Americans took lives of those of the Puritans by burning
down houses, taking them into captivity and separating them from their own family
and their own religion. Mrs. Mary Rowlandson was one of the Puritans that was taken
into captivity, and drug from her own family including her three children. The
Puritans have a culture unlike anyone else especially unlike the Native Americans, or
the Indians as Rowlandson would call them. Because of the drastic differences
between the Indians and the Puritans culture, it was hard for them to gain strength to
stay alive after the captivity. The Narrative of the captivity and restoration of Mrs.
Mary White Rowlandson tells today s readers about the Puritans culture, including
Christianity, strength, and family values. To begin with, Christianity plays a big role
in the Puritans life. Rowlandson would read the Bible and worship God everyday
no matter what she was doing or how bad she was feeling. When she got captured
by the Indians she had no one that was a Christian nearby, because of this she felt
alone. Rowlandson kept faith by her side through the whole journey and believed
God would help her through it, as she quoted, God was with me in a wonderful
manner, carrying me along, and bearing my spirit, that it did not quite fail.
(Rowlandson) The Puritans didn t know any better than to stereotype the Indians as

Fraley s Two Models Of Discontinuity In Attachment Theory
Although the social and cognitive mechanisms invoked by attachment theorists imply
that stability in attachment style may be the rule rather than the exception, these
basic mechanisms can predict either long run continuity or discontinuity, depending
on the precise ways in which they are conceptualized (Fraley, 2002). Fraley (2002)
discussed two models of continuity derived from attachment theorythat make
different predictions about long term continuity even though they were derived from
the same basic theoretical principles. Each model assumes that individual differences
in attachment representations are shaped by variation in experiences with caregivers
in early childhood, and that, in turn, these early representations shape the quality

Pros And Cons Of Coal Mining
Do you think that coal mining is risky. Some people belive that it is not even worth
it. But on the other hand some people probably really want their electricity. It is very
risky job. In 2010, 33 chilean coal miners were trapped almost half a mile

long time. But these people do get there money for it. There salary is $21 per hour.
And we get electricity so it is a win win. Yet it is super dangerous because you could
get black lung disease from long term exposure in coalmines.
One reason it is dangerous is because somebody could get stuck underground for a
long period of time like in 2010. We do not want that to happen again. That would be

New Federalism Essay
Two rudimentary stratums exist in the U.S legal system: state law and federal law.
Federal laws apply to the entire nation, whereas state laws affect only said states.
Currently, the age of New Federalism, is upon the U.S. This can be traced back to
Nixon in the late 1960s. The era of New Federalismis described as the transfer of
powers from the federal government back to the states. This transfer of powers
seems to be outweighed by the initial power of the federal government when
assessed closely. First, let s get down to the facts. After the tragedy of 9/11,
Homeland Security was implemented. Around fifty billion U.S. federal dollars are
being provided to state/local governments yearly to meet Homeland Security
requirements. The president and congress work together to form a budget that

Malvolio Character Analysis
Malvolio
Malvolio is a minor character in twelfth night as he plays the role of Olivia s head
servant and steward. His humiliation makes his role in the play quite amusing with
the Olivia, Viola (Cesario), and Orsino love triangle, which as the play goes on,
becomes more and more amusing and after a while, you cannot help but feel bad
for the poor person. His arrogant and selfish personality makes him an amenity of sir
toby, Sir Andrew and Maria who play a cruel trick on him, making him believe
Olivia is in love with him. He has a poor opinion of drinking, adding humor to this
1500 s comedy.
A delusional fool. When reading act two scene 5 Malvolio makes his love for
Olivia clear when reading the faked letter made by Maria, Sir Toby, and Sir
Andrew made him. When reading it he seems like more and more of an idiot. The
first reason for this is M.O.A.I. For all these letters are in my name however if he
thought about this a bit more he could realize, if Olivia (the person he loves) was
sending a love later she would use his real name (Malvolio) instead of M.O.A.I. the
second thing is. Yes, the letters moai are in his name but there is zero evidence the
letter was for him. Possibly Olivia was actually sending a letter to moai, he is too
full of himself to realize such a simple thing. Sure the letter was meant for him but
he should have sat down to re read it and really think about it, he didn t have to
know Maria wrote it but he should have talked to Maria instead of going to

The Importance Of The Death Penalty
The death penalty has been around before the birth of the United States Constitution.
The death penalty is a very conversational topic and is a deterrent of the worst
criminal acts (murder, rape, and terrorism). Support for the death penalty has gone
down in recent years from 1994 to 2014 support of for the death penaltydropped 20%.
Kenneth Williams blames these key factors innocence, race, arbitrariness,
incompetent lawyers, etc... ). For many decades the supreme court has tried to
make adjustments to the death penalty by reviewing steps to reduce bias. The death
penalty is no longer a popular choice among Americans. The number of Americans
who believe in the death penalty to be morally acceptable during this time period
has gone from a high of 71% in 2006 down to 60% in 2014 (Williams, 2017, p.2).
Furthermore, the author believes that innocent people who are wrongfully convicted
of a crimecan end up being given the death penalty. Williams is concerned because
4% of those sentenced to death are innocent. The author uses a really great case to
make his point clear. Cameron Todd Willingham, who was convicted of arson that
killed his three juvenile daughter was given the death penalty. The state s case
against Willingham consisted primarily of an expert s conclusion that the fire was
deliberately set and that because he was the only adult in the home at the time of the
fire, Willingham deliberately started the fire (Williams, 2017, p.2). Before

Remember to always think of the future. Once it s all implemented and built, you can
administer your network.
When administrating a network, you have to ensure critical services have as close
to 100% uptime, because if they are down, your users are going to hassle you all the
time and that can be quite annoying with some users. When maintaining a network,
you also have a number of other tasks to perform every day. These include:
User management
Adding, removing and apply security to user accounts and groups
Hardware
Upgrading hardware
Replacing faulting hardware
Software
Providing support for applications and operating systems
Ensuring critical data is being backed up
Monitoring

Checking logs
Conducting security audits

One of the hardest challenges in administrating a network is application support.
You can very rarely just add a major application or a network service without any
issues. Your network will need to support it. For example, you cannot host a website
if you only have dialup internet. Other factors that are needed to be taken into
consideration are:
Does it need to be secured? Both physically and virtually; internally and externally
Can the application be supported Are their people who know how to use the
application?
What risks will it introduce? Viruses, Hackers, privacy?

The Revolution And Reformation During The Renaissance
Revolution and reformation; these are two words that are often identified with war,
disagreement, and regional effects. While these things do indeed come along with a
revolution or reformation, they heed an array of positive and secular outcomes as
well. In addition, a revolution can, and usually will, cause a reformation.
Conversely, a reformation can cause a revolution. This can happen despite the two
things involved with the change or disagreement being seemingly unrelated. The
world is connected and affected in ways that we cannot comprehend until we look at
our world s history and see how every small occurrence leads to a landslide of
repercussions. The Renaissanceis a prime example of this interconnectedness, as it
was a time of rebirth, revolution and reformation. During the Renaissance, many
changes ensued as a result of scientists, scholars and humanists who realized that they
weren t being taught or treated properly. This idea of unsatisfactory treatment as a
result of the humanist spirit of the Renaissance led to the Scientific Revolutionand
The Protestant Reformation, movements that occurred during the Renaissance that
changed life in Western Europe, and eventually the whole world, forever.

the school and could be changed. College sports do a lot to help out the Universitys
budget. This is undeniable, where else would that TV and cheap knick knack

where as five percent goes to education, the teachers need a different way to get

Explain The Three Methods Of Evolving Themselves In
War...
For millions of years bacteria have been surviving to their environments and been at
war against other microorganism. This wars have lead them to creating an
unstoppable arsenal of weapons they can use to survive. Unlike virus that need a
host cell to survive, bacteria can survive anywhere since they can share their DNA
with each other. This allows bacteriato survive in places like radioactive waste, zero
oxygen environments, and even in absolute darkness. Unlike human beings who are
born with a specific genetic code, bacteria have the capability of changing that code.
Bacteria have three methods of evolving themselves in order to survive the harsh is
of conditions. The three methods are called horizontal gene transfer. The first is

So if a bacterium has a gene resistant to Penicillin dies and another bacterium picks
up that gene, now the bacterium that is alive is resistant to Penicillin. This allows
the bacteria that die to still have an influence in the colony. The second method is
called transduction or the passing of virus. Since virus are just pieces of DNA or
RNA they can latch onto genes from one bacterium and then transfer them to another
bacterium thus giving more bacteria that gene that may be resistant to a specific
antibiotic such as penicillin. The final method is called conjugation which allows
bacteria to create a gene transferring connection with each other and when they break
apart both bacteria can gain genes from each other allowing them to be resistant to
possibly two antibiotics. Horizontal gene transfer is bacteria biggest weapon against
everything we throw at them. So the question is can we evolve our own weapons,
antibiotics, fast enough to counter these methods bacteria use to survive (Hobley,
The Role Of New Media On The Way Of News Production
In recent years, a shift has been created by new media, it has opened new spaces and
changed various aspects of the very nature of news production and consumption
(Shapiro, 2010). This essay evaluates the arguments surrounding this change, such as
the debate over whether situated journalists are too subjective as opposed to the
expectations of objectivity in traditional news media. The benefits that informal
journalists bring to news production are analysed in comparison to formal and
distanced news production. With the immediacy of new media, the way news is
consumed has changed, there is room to have a dialogue and interact with it in
consumer s pursuit of the truth. With the growing prominence of situated journalists,
the growth of new media and the increasing informational appetite of the consumer,
progressively more news is produced and consumed in a variety of different ways
and with different implications across the world. These key arguments are explored
to critically evaluate the role and effects of new media on the way the news is
produced and consumed. According to Blaagaard (2013) news production currently
holds an inbuilt contradiction, although it claims objectivity through its
professionalism, it is still is nationally specific . However, just as embedded journalist
and citizen journalists are situated and more overtly subjective, traditional news
media veils its bias of national situatedness through professionalism (Blaagaard, 2013,
p.187).

King Lear Vs A Thousand Acres Analysis
King Lear vs A Thousand Acres
While it may appear that Jane Smiley s A Thousand Acres is nothing but a
modernized interpretation of Shakespeare s King Lear, one can see that below the
surface these two tales are anything but alike. Through Smiley s characters Larry,
Caroline, Ginny and Rose, it is easy to conclude that they contrast their parallels,
Lear, Cordelia, Goneril and Rose, greatly from Shakespeare s play. Among the
multiple themes that make this conclusion possible, the most prominent are the
contrasting themes of relationships, outcomes, character development and
motivations.
At first, Shakespeare portrays King Lear as an arrogant man whose only concern is
himself; Lear has no problem relishing in his title and power as ruler, but has trouble
carrying out the responsibilities of a king and doing good for his people. ... Show

Caroline is portrayed as an intelligent, successful and well put together daughter,
which is more than Cordelia was perceived as. While Caroline was in fact pushed

Elizabethan Era of Music Culture Essay
The music was played very often as a normal routine. People considered it a must to
know how to play an instrument, sing, or be involved somehow with music in this
age of time. Instruments in the 1600 s were able to make any type of music; the
amazing part was no matter how many instruments you used it would always sound
pure and the same. Another unique thing about the music and culture in the 1600 s is
that it was also healthy for the body. During the Elizabethan Era the people would

imagine how tired I would be after so many hours of dancing. We had two people

you would have great posture, reasons being is because they wore this body brace
what we call girdles in this age of time. What the body brace would do is
automatically sit the women up at all times. Even if women so much bend over it

people didn t know was that the person performing the stunts did very little

The HR professional contributes to the organization by continuously evaluating the
effectiveness of the HR function. He and/or she also support change in other
departments and in job practices. To promote the overall success of the organization,
one champions the recognition of the organizational mission, vision, values, goals
and objectives. Finally, the HR professional also assists with determining the
measures that will inform the organization about how well it is succeeding in all of
this. Values of an organization assist in shaping the culture which can be referred to
as that s the way we do things round here as defined by Charles Handy (1987); letting
the employees know what the organization expects from them. One may wonder
where this statement came from, but not only do the HR professionals help in the
implementation of these things. As line managers, they also have a great role to play
as they help contribute to the organization overall mission, vision, values etcetera by
ensuring that the culture within their departments help motivates the employees to
give their best and keep in line with the objectives.
Thus far we have looked at human resource, human resource management and some
of its roles in the organization. It has been said that Human Resource Management
can also be performed by line managers, but who are they. As mentioned above, line
managers have a huge part to play within the organization, ensuring that their
department conforms to
Structure Process And Facility Layout
Forms of Transformation Processes used by Companies and Their Relation to the
Facility Layout
Selecting the most appropriate transformation process and facility layout is one of
the keys towards achieving success in the company s performance. In general, there
are many forms of transformation processes, and each has particular facility layout.
What is more, there are also hybrid combinations of them so the organization can
choose the one that best fits its needs and potential.
Speaking of the basic forms of transformation systems, there are five of them
including job shop, continuous process, cellular production, flow shop, and project
(Meredith Shafer, 2013). Job shops are industries that offer a wide range of
products and services. They can achieve diversity in possible outputs using
departments functionally specializing in one or other good. The specialty of this
transformation system is that the departments comprise of identical equipment or
involve people with nearly the same set of skills, and the process is carried out on a
non stop basis. It also has a peculiar layout that is based on a historically stable output
so that it is rarely changed.
The second type of transformation system is continuous process. Such industries use
a set of materials and equipment and a sequence of processes to produce a final
output. Facility layout of this transformation system is usually a set of needed
equipment such as assembly lines, tanks, pipes, etc., and low skilled employees
Analyzing Woodrow Wilson s Fourteen Points
The Fourteen Points was a set of principles intended to peaceably resolve World
War One. They were first presented by Woodrow Wilson on January 8, 1918 to the
United States Congress. The leaders of the Allied countries were skeptical that
Wilson s points were too idealistic. This draws the need to evaluate if the points
were truly idealistic, or if the Allied leaders were simply too cynical. The points may
be divided into three sections, one concerning international diplomacy, one regarding
the evacuation of occupied territories, and a final section concerning the League of
Nations. Some of the points presented were too idealistic, while other points were
completely reasonable. The section concerning the evacuation of occupied territories,
My First 13 Years Of My Life
For the first 13 years of my life I was the prototypical Christian child. I sat quietly
in church listening carefully to everything the pastor said, trying hard to follow
the guidelines set by my family and the bible, even if it was hard for me to believe
what I was being told. Not even knowing what any of it really meant, I went on
following anything and everything my ears caught. Blinded by my own fears of
burning in a fiery pit for all eternity, I became very apprehensive about what I really
wanted. Those fears caused me to keep feelings in that I desperately wanted to let
out. The only problem was I couldn t let them out because that wouldn t be the
Christian thing to do. I was to be a good Christian boy that followed the bible and not

I eventually became very sad I thought I would never be able to live in peace if I was
gay, but at the same time it was killing me to keep my real self bottled up every
minute of every day. It even got to a point where I thought it would just be better if
I was gone. Sometimes I would sit in my room on the floor with a bottle of pills in
my hand, contemplating whether or not I should take a hand full of them and be
done with it. Until one day I was tired of being sad and scared so I decided it was
time for me to make a change.
I went into my bathroom turned on the lights, stood in front of the mirror, looked
myself on the eyes, took a deep breath and said I m gay. I told myself there s no
denying it, there s no changing it, there s no hiding it and it s completely okay.
After finally coming to terms with my sexuality I felt a lot better it was like I was
carrying these heavy bags for a long time and one of them was lifted off my
shoulders. It was a small victory for me, but, I knew there was still more things I
had to do. Over the next few weeks, I slowly began to come out to friends and
surprisingly was well received even by the ones that were religious. I knew coming
out to friends would be a lot different than coming out to my parents so I hesitated
and next thing I knew three years had gone by. I always wanted to tell them, but I
was so afraid I let it get away from me
Tort Reform And Medical Malpractice
Tort reform has intense arguments to both sides and creates a myriad of concerns.
On one side of the tort reform movement, defendants such as corporations and
medical professionals want limits on the damages awarded to the plaintiff. The
benefit of tort reform for defendant is the financial savings. However, a cap placed
on medical malpractice cases and other cases that are of negligence would
standardize the monetary compensation regardless of the damage. In my opinion,
Medical malpractice tort reform is a gray area, for each breach of the standard of
care involves a different story and person, therefore the damages vary and should
be evaluated fairly. In this essay, both sides of the argument are discussed, with a
focus on medical malpractice tort reform. Proof of Malpractice For a plaintiff to
triumph a claim of medical malpractice for negligence, four elements must be
established. The first element is proving the defendant owed a duty of care to the
plaintiff. The second is to show that the defendant breached the duty to the plaintiff.
The third is to show that the plaintiff was harmed and experienced damages. Finally,
the fourth is to show that the plaintiff was harmed by the actions of the defendant
(Greenberg, 2009). How does medical malpractice differ from a standard negligence
claim? Medical malpractice differs from a standards negligence claim and some
states have different definitions. There are two primary formulations for the legal
standard of
Kevin Durant s Selection Process
July 1st is the beginning of the pursuit. We all knew it was coming. Kevin Durant
begins his selection process. With the massive TV deal leading to the rising cap,
Durant will have many options. He has narrowed it down to six teams; the Thunder,
Warriors, Spurs, Celtics, Heat, and Clippers. I have dissected the candidates.
Thunder No brainer. Durant was drafted by the Thunder (Supersonics) number 2
overall in the 2007 NBA draft. Durant has blossomed into a superstar with the
Oklahoma City Thunder. The 7X All Star described as the scoring prodigy has won
the scoring title four times. The face of the franchise, Durant is the leader and face of
the Oklahoma City Thunder. Before he makes the decision (no TV special needed),
the Thunder will ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
KD in Green, charging out of the tunnel at the TD Bank North Garden to his first
NBA title, 18th franchise title, permanently stamping his title as one of the
greatest if all time. This is the scrawny kid that was chosen second to Greg Oden
(gotta love the NBA draft) in 2007. Durant is not about wasting anyone s time. JHe
wants to go where he can lead his team and win a title. A place he can call home,
cement his legacy. No better place than the Celtics. The Celtics are an organization
rich with tradition, from Larry Bird to Bill Russell, no one can argue the deep
history seeping through Legends Way around the Garden. Currently, they have a
solid young defensive team and the money to spend to acquire one or two missing
pieces. Durant has raved about the Celtics organization before. They are definitely the
dark horse in this game.
Heat All honesty, outside of the weather and no state tax I have no idea why he
would choose to go to the Heat. Whiteside is a free agent and will most likely sign
elsewhere, Wade will likely be resigned but is on the downside of his career, and
no Bosh. The Heat are expected to enter free agency with about $42 million in cap
space, there would have to be some maneuvering on the part of the Heat to sign
Durant and still have a team around him that can compete for the title. No
Affirmative Action Is Necessary Analysis
America is said to be like a melting pot, a diverse land of people with all sorts of
different cultures and backgrounds. But, how truly diverse is America? How
diverse are our schools and our workplaces? Why Affirmative Action Is Necessary
was published in 2015 to EBSCO by Anne Stokely. Stokely s argument is in favor of
affirmative actionbecause she believes it allows everyone to compete freely in the
marketplace. Affirmative action continues to be a controversial idea in our society
today.
The issue at hand is if affirmative action is necessary. Does America need it? Is it
fair? Is it actually helping minorities get ahead? Is affirmative action causing reverse
discrimination? The targeted audience seems to be major corporations and education
administrators. The main point of their thesis is affirmative action helps minority
groups gain access to education and jobs that they would not usually have access to.
The purpose of this article is to inform their audience why affirmative action is a
necessary policy to have.
Anne Stokely appears to be a more liberal writer than conservative. Stokely shows
very good will, likeability, and humility. Stokelys approach towards the material is
to use a variety of logos evidence and effective examples from history. Stokelys styles

Stokely uses an allusion, different points of diction, and varying degrees of syntax.
The allusion in this article is the quote by President Johnson. Even if the audience is
unfamiliar with this quote, they can still understand the message and the connotation
of the meaning. The examples of diction in this article include; significant
discrepancy, undoubtedly, and excruciatingly. The words chosen show diction
because they change the meaning and the tone of her writing. Stokely uses a variety
of paragraphs lengths to elaborate on a subject or make it clear and to the
Turning Men Into Fishing Is A Popular Past Time All
Around...

World Religions
March 10, 2015
Turning Men into Fishermen Fishing is a popular past time all around the world. It
has been around for many centuries, and has influenced and shaped many societies
and cultures. One popular religion that fishing has a major impact on is Christianity. It
is obvious that fishing is prominent in the Christian religion by looking at the famous
Christian symbol, the Jesus fish. On many American cars one may find this very
simple depiction of a fish on the back bumper. Another influence that fishing has in
Christianity is the teachings in the bible. Many biblical stories are written and
teach life lessons through the technique of fishing. Not only did Jesus want his
disciples to be fisher of men, but he also did the majority of his sermons in a boat.
Fishing plays a huge role in the Christian community and throughout time has
shaped it into the religion that it is today. The Jesus fish symbol is a fish made out
of two simple lines that cross in the back. It is a simple drawing yet carries so much
meaning in the Christian community. The X shaped cross in the tail is supposed to
represent the crucifix that Jesus died for the human sins on. The X also translates
into the Greek word Christ (Edmondson, 57). The Jesus fish is often referred to as
Ichthys, which is the first letters of five Greek words that make up the word fish
(Hassett). Those five Greek words are Jesus Christ, Son of God, Savior . Christians

The Case Of World First Human Kidney Transplantation
Kidney Transplantation It is not clear why the case of world first human kidney
transplantation was never published in medical journals. However, it was quite
vividly presented in the media covering the Second Clinical Congress. Details of that
unique surgical event are known from the publications in the New York Times,
Waterloo Press ( Indiana) and especially The Atlanta Constitution (Georgia).9,10,11
The patient, John Lumbro, suffered from kidneytuberculosis. He was in a hopeless
condition and a very early and miserable death stared him in the face . Lumbro has

Life and Career of Dr. Levi Jay Hammond The biographical data of Dr. Levi Jay

  • 1. What Should I Write My Essay On Writing an essay on the topic "What Should I Write My Essay On" can be a challenging endeavor, primarily because it requires a unique blend of self-reflection, creativity, and critical thinking. The inherent paradox lies in the irony of trying to articulate the difficulty of choosing a topic while actually attempting to choose a topic. It's a meta-cognitive maze where one navigates the complexities of one's own thought process. The struggle begins with the overwhelming multitude of potential subjects. The paradoxical nature of the prompt forces introspection, demanding an exploration of personal interests, passions, and experiences. Yet, the very act of deciding what to write about becomes an intricate dance between self-doubt and the desire to find a topic that resonates deeply. Moreover, the anxiety intensifies when considering the audience's perspective. Will the chosen topic captivate the reader's attention? Does it possess the requisite depth and significance to sustain an entire essay? The perpetual quest for uniqueness and relevance adds another layer of complexity, as one grapples with the fear of producing a mundane or clichГ©d composition. The struggle to find the perfect topic is further compounded by the awareness of the essay's purpose. Is it meant to inform, persuade, entertain, or provoke thought? The ambiguity surrounding the essay's intended impact adds an extra layer of pressure, making the process even more formidable. In the end, the difficulty lies not just in the act of writing but in the very decision of what to write about. It's a journey into the intricacies of one's own mind, a quest for self-discovery within the confines of a blank page. The paradoxical nature of the task makes it a formidable challenge, a test of both intellectual and emotional resilience. As a side note, for those grappling with this challenge, it's worth considering that help is available. • 2. Alison Bechdel Fun Home Analysis Alison Bechdel uses her graphic memoir, Fun home, to explore her relationship with her father. She uses the book as a tool to reflect on her life and the affect her father had on her. She discovers how her fathers closeted sexuality affected her childhood and her transition into adulthood. His death left a powerful mark and left her searching for answers. She clearly states this when she says, it s true that he didn t kill himself until I was nearly twenty. But his absence resonated retroactively, echoing back through all the time I knew him. (23). This feeling drove her to look back on their relationship and find what binds her so strongly to a man she never understood. She discovered how her fathers closetedsexualityaffected her childhood, her sexuality, and her relationship with literature. Bechdel opens the book with a scene of her playing with her father. She uses this memory of them playing airplane (3) to describe the normal part of their relationship. This is contrasted by the frequent outbursts she describes throughout her childhood. In chapter 1 she uses the film It s a Wonderful Life as an analogy. She draws a parallel between George s rare outburst on his children to the frequent outburst her father displayed as she grew up (11). This scene gives clear insight on how the relationship with her father fluctuates between calm and strenuous. the inconsistences in their relationship leads her question what connects her to her father. This dilemma is best

Brevik Of Cannibals Of Cannibals is an essay, one of those in the collection Essays of Michel de Montaigne that was written at the end of a decisive period in the history of humanity, the Renaissance. This period corresponds in France to the rise of the bourgeoisie, the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries. This growth is directly perceptible by several aspects, first and foremost the development of large cities in Europe and France, a result of the eruption of a social class around the trade. • 8. Essay on The Messiah The Messiah Handel s classic piece, The Messiah is undoubtedly the best selection as our classes choice for the time capsule. It has all the workings of a true musical masterpiece and a beautiful message that all should know. Our song should be chosen as a piece that has lived, will live on, and does justice to music. That is The Messiah. Many of you (including myself) didn t quite realize who Handel was, let alone know his oratorio The Messiah. Once Joel began to play it in class, the common phrase shifted from, What? , to, Oh, the hallelujah song. It is a piece that nearly anyone, of any generation, knows at least by its famous chorus, Hallelujah. That is a lot to say for one song. How many of your parents actually know ... (Wilson) What Handel created in The Messiah is a piece with the variety of graceful melody and breathtaking vocals(Del Rio). Now all this concert talk may not make a lot of since to those of you who aren t too familiar with the makings of music. To put your mind at ease, other more familiar composers such as Mozart, Bach, and Beethoven have praised and studied this accomplished work extensively. Many contemporay bands more familiar to us also acclaim this work. Eddie vedder of Pearl Jam called it a dynamic classical piece and noted it as an inspiration to music in general (Mulchevy). Beethoven even went so far as to make the statement, Handel is the greatest composer that ever lived. I would uncover my head and kneel down at his tomb! (Alexander). This points out somewhat of his splendor, but to prove the greatness of The Messiah I call on a story that holds as a custom to this day. During its first performance in front of the then reigning King George II, His Majesty was so stirred by the power of the chorus that he stood up in awe. The

They argued that if energy rates were to be reduced, they would need to find another source to regain the loss caused by the reduction of the rates. This would probably mean increasing the tax rates and cutting off money from social services like hospitals. If they don t, then the Australian economy is seriously likely to face a huge loss. The loss triggered by the decision to not increase the tax rates would impact significantly on both Australian and International Markets in terms of economy as it would conclude that the Australian government have to increase their trading rates with neighboring countries such as India. While India might still be able to keep up with this unexpected rise in the trading rates , many poorer countries might not. Those countries will have to stop trading with Australia, which would effect their economy. In conclusion, if consumer electricity rates were to be notably reduced, it would force the Australian government to ,unfortunately, reduce the tax rates or cut off money from hospitals. It would, in turn, become more expensive than it originally was for consumers as they would end up paying more money on the taxes then they originally did on electricity

  • 12. The Performance Of Tone Mapping 3 PREVIOUS WORK Because of the great interest of HDR images and their advantages, tone mapping techniques are used to display these images on LDR devices. Many researchers made different studies for evaluating the performance of tone mapping algorithms. Debevec and Malik proposed that a HDR image can be created from three or more LDR images of the same scene under different exposures. Through technological advances and the development of photograph technology, we can get access to HDR cameras which can take HDR photos and videos directly now. Therefore, there is an increasing demand for tone mapping algorithms. There are two types of tone mapping algorithm: global operators and local operators. The global tone mapping methods are simply mapped the input HDR image I^h (x,y) to an output LDR image I^l (x,y) = f (I^h (x,y)) , where f () is a global compression function which is spatially invariant, such as gamma function, linear function, histogram based function and the function adapted to tone reproduction curves. Hence, the local tone mapping methods decompose the input HDR image into multiple layers or areas, apply different compressing algorithm in different layers or areas and recombine all the layers or areas into a LDR image. Similar with Durand, Farbman which segmented the HDR image into two layer a base layer and a detail layer, while the base layer is obtained by applying an alternative edge reserving smoothing operator and the detail layer is obtained by

Quotes have different meanings to everyone, and for some, a quote is not something that can explained, but something a person must feel. I guess since I have to choose I would choose the lyrics to Angel by Theory of a Deadman. The lyrics to Angel include the line, Her halo is broken, but there s fight in her eyes. As someone who has gone through an insane amount of tough experiences in her life from being bullied from the time she started school at Lanier County until she moved to Valwood this song has a meaning to me that cannot simply be expressed in words. The quote is more than just the lyrics of a song. The words are an encouragement, and they are meaningful. They inspire me to remember that even when I get knocked down I need to get back up and be ready to fight. This quote is not simply something that can be expressed in words because it conveys an emotional feeling that is significant to me. The quote I chose is meaningful to me because it is about someone who has been beaten down in ways others may not be able to comprehend, but she prevails above all odds and is stronger and wiser for what she went

(Train History , 2017) Rail transportation is referred to as movement of on guideways and rails are the most common guideways. However technological progress made monorails and magnetic levitation trains now available and although railways are a result of the industrial revolution, they have been affected by continuous innovations, technical, regulatory and commercial changes which have enhanced their capacity and efficiency. Therefore railway transportis important now as it was in the late 19th century. One innovation pertains to the quality of the rail infrastructure, particularly rail tracks (e.g. better steel, concrete ties), which regulates the operational characteristics of their use such as speed, permitted weight, maintenance and immunity towards the environment. Increasing electrification and automation also improve the efficiency of rail transportation, passenger and freight alike. For safety purposes commodities ought to be stowed on the trains in a certain manner for guaranteed railway delivery. (Slack, 1998) Based on the implementation by Transport Canada to strengthen the railway and transportation of dangerous goods safety systems. The emergency directive requires all rail operators to; Ensure that no locomotive attached to one or more loaded tank cars transporting dangerous goods is left unattended on a main track;

To begin with, Christianity plays a big role in the Puritans life. Rowlandson would read the Bible and worship God everyday no matter what she was doing or how bad she was feeling. When she got captured by the Indians she had no one that was a Christian nearby, because of this she felt alone. Rowlandson kept faith by her side through the whole journey and believed God would help her through it, as she quoted, God was with me in a wonderful manner, carrying me along, and bearing my spirit, that it did not quite fail. While these things do indeed come along with a revolution or reformation, they heed an array of positive and secular outcomes as well. In addition, a revolution can, and usually will, cause a reformation. Conversely, a reformation can cause a revolution. This can happen despite the two things involved with the change or disagreement being seemingly unrelated. The world is connected and affected in ways that we cannot comprehend until we look at our world s history and see how every small occurrence leads to a landslide of repercussions. The Renaissanceis a prime example of this interconnectedness, as it was a time of rebirth, revolution and reformation. During the Renaissance, many changes ensued as a result of scientists, scholars and humanists who realized that they weren t being taught or treated properly. This idea of unsatisfactory treatment as a result of the humanist spirit of the Renaissance led to the Scientific Revolutionand The Protestant Reformation, movements that occurred during the Renaissance that changed life in Western Europe, and eventually the whole world, forever. This wars have lead them to creating an unstoppable arsenal of weapons they can use to survive. Unlike virus that need a host cell to survive, bacteria can survive anywhere since they can share their DNA with each other. This allows bacteriato survive in places like radioactive waste, zero oxygen environments, and even in absolute darkness. Unlike human beings who are born with a specific genetic code, bacteria have the capability of changing that code. Bacteria have three methods of evolving themselves in order to survive the harsh is of conditions. The three methods are called horizontal gene transfer. So if a bacterium has a gene resistant to Penicillin dies and another bacterium picks up that gene, now the bacterium that is alive is resistant to Penicillin. Since virus are just pieces of DNA or RNA they can latch onto genes from one bacterium and then transfer them to another bacterium thus giving more bacteria that gene that may be resistant to a specific antibiotic such as penicillin. The final method is called conjugation which allows bacteria to create a gene transferring connection with each other and when they break apart both bacteria can gain genes from each other allowing them to be resistant to possibly two antibiotics. Horizontal gene transfer is bacteria biggest weapon against everything we throw at them. • 36. The Role Of New Media On The Way Of News Production In recent years, a shift has been created by new media, it has opened new spaces and changed various aspects of the very nature of news production and consumption (Shapiro, 2010). This essay evaluates the arguments surrounding this change, such as the debate over whether situated journalists are too subjective as opposed to the expectations of objectivity in traditional news media. The benefits that informal journalists bring to news production are analysed in comparison to formal and distanced news production. With the immediacy of new media, the way news is consumed has changed, there is room to have a dialogue and interact with it in consumer s pursuit of the truth. With the growing prominence of situated journalists, the growth of new media and the increasing informational appetite of the consumer, progressively more news is produced and consumed in a variety of different ways and with different implications across the world. These key arguments are explored to critically evaluate the role and effects of new media on the way the news is produced and consumed. According to Blaagaard (2013) news production currently holds an inbuilt contradiction, although it claims objectivity through its professionalism, it is still is nationally specific . However, just as embedded journalist and citizen journalists are situated and more overtly subjective, traditional news media veils its bias of national situatedness through professionalism (Blaagaard, 2013, p.187).

Among the multiple themes that make this conclusion possible, the most prominent are the contrasting themes of relationships, outcomes, character development and motivations. Did you know at times you would be dancing with a complete stranger and you could ve been lucky enough to meet your dance partners, this made dancing all the more exciting in the Elizabethan Era time period. Not only did the people love to dance but they would dance for hours and hours a day. I love to dance but I could imagine how tired I would be after so many hours of dancing. We had two people to visit our school and what I learned about the women were that no matter what you would have great posture, reasons being is because they wore this body brace what we call girdles in this age of time. What the body brace would do is automatically sit the women up at all times. Even if women so much bend over it could break your ribs. They also told us about the theatre and how they would practice the stunts they do in most of the drama and actions plays. What many people didn t know was that the person performing the stunts did very little movements and the person who the stunts was performed on did most of the work to make the stunt seem so real. All of Shakespeare plays were not very popular in that period of time like they are now and it s amazing because most things they did we thought were weird and it flips during our age. It states on the Elizabethanera.org that the history of the theater is fascinating. They allow the idea of such a foolish holiday to fill them with happiness forgetting they truly have no reason to be happy. Most of these people live poor and instead of working everyday to gain more money they would rather take Christmas off and be around friends and family, what a waste of time. For instance take my nephew Fred ,every year, Fred comes to my work and invites me to a Christmas party with the family . I find two problems with that situation, for one Fred lives poor , how could he possibly afford a party? Secondly, I do not like to associate with people including my family. Nevertheless, Fred will

While it may not have been the shot heard round the world , it certainly was a shot the disrupted a previously peaceful vicinity. It was also a shot that completely changed the Horn of Africa, and permanently disrupted Ethiopian economy. It was also a shot that interrupted the young life of Benyam Berhe. Benyam Berhe experienced this war in a way completely unique from anyone else in the United States, because he lived it. America hasn t seen foreign troops on its soil since the war of 1812. Americans cannot possibly relate to hearing mortar fire from our very own homes. When diplomacy fails to achieve what ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The Eritrean Nakfa is a hundred times more worthless than the Birr of Ethiopia. Yet the Eritrean protested that the exchange rate should be one for one. When this movement was stopped suddenly and concisely by the Ethiopian government, the Eritreans attempted to take some Ethiopian controlled boarder land. This led to armed retaliation by the Ethiopian government and eventually led to an all out war. Benyam also said that the majority of the fighting was done within a matter of days. The Ethiopians elected not to continue the fighting that could have led all the way to Asmara, (the capital of Eritrea). America wanted the Ethiopians to stop however, and so they stopped any further invasion plans. Benyam went on to say that a lot of the fighting was done by the vastly superior aircrafts on Ethiopia s side, that they (Ethiopia) bombed quickly and efficiently. He went on to mention that while some Eritreans were deported, they were mostly spies. Also that what was not reported was the fact that many Ethiopians were tortured before they got released and deported from Eritrea. It seems that a lot of the mainstream media, especially the BBC failed to report that. Benyam proved to be an invaluable resource in his first hand experience with the Eritrean Ethiopian conflict and I referred to him often for further information. To promote the overall success of the organization, one champions the recognition of the organizational mission, vision, values, goals and objectives. Finally, the HR professional also assists with determining the measures that will inform the organization about how well it is succeeding in all of this. Values of an organization assist in shaping the culture which can be referred to as that s the way we do things round here as defined by Charles Handy (1987); letting the employees know what the organization expects from them. One may wonder where this statement came from, but not only do the HR professionals help in the implementation of these things. As line managers, they also have a great role to play as they help contribute to the organization overall mission, vision, values etcetera by ensuring that the culture within their departments help motivates the employees to give their best and keep in line with the objectives. Thus far we have looked at human resource, human resource management and some of its roles in the organization. It has been said that Human Resource Management can also be performed by line managers, but who are they. As mentioned above, line managers have a huge part to play within the organization, ensuring that their department conforms to

Structure Process And Facility Layout Forms of Transformation Processes used by Companies and Their Relation to the Facility Layout Selecting the most appropriate transformation process and facility layout is one of the keys towards achieving success in the company s performance. In general, there are many forms of transformation processes, and each has particular facility layout. What is more, there are also hybrid combinations of them so the organization can choose the one that best fits its needs and potential. Speaking of the basic forms of transformation systems, there are five of them including job shop, continuous process, cellular production, flow shop, and project (Meredith Shafer, 2013). Job shops are industries that offer a wide range of products and services. They can achieve diversity in possible outputs using departments functionally specializing in one or other good. The specialty of this transformation system is that the departments comprise of identical equipment or involve people with nearly the same set of skills, and the process is carried out on a non stop basis. It also has a peculiar layout that is based on a historically stable output so that it is rarely changed. The second type of transformation system is continuous process. Such industries use a set of materials and equipment and a sequence of processes to produce a final output. Facility layout of this transformation system is usually a set of needed equipment such as assembly lines, tanks, pipes, etc., and low skilled employees

They were first presented by Woodrow Wilson on January 8, 1918 to the United States Congress. The leaders of the Allied countries were skeptical that Wilson s points were too idealistic. This draws the need to evaluate if the points were truly idealistic, or if the Allied leaders were simply too cynical. The points may be divided into three sections, one concerning international diplomacy, one regarding the evacuation of occupied territories, and a final section concerning the League of Nations. Some of the points presented were too idealistic, while other points were completely reasonable. The section concerning the evacuation of occupied territories,

I sat quietly in church listening carefully to everything the pastor said, trying hard to follow the guidelines set by my family and the bible, even if it was hard for me to believe what I was being told. Not even knowing what any of it really meant, I went on following anything and everything my ears caught. Blinded by my own fears of burning in a fiery pit for all eternity, I became very apprehensive about what I really wanted. Those fears caused me to keep feelings in that I desperately wanted to let out. The only problem was I couldn t let them out because that wouldn t be the Christian thing to do. It even got to a point where I thought it would just be better if I was gone. Sometimes I would sit in my room on the floor with a bottle of pills in my hand, contemplating whether or not I should take a hand full of them and be done with it. Until one day I was tired of being sad and scared so I decided it was time for me to make a change. I went into my bathroom turned on the lights, stood in front of the mirror, looked myself on the eyes, took a deep breath and said I m gay. I told myself there s no denying it, there s no changing it, there s no hiding it and it s completely okay. After finally coming to terms with my sexuality I felt a lot better it was like I was carrying these heavy bags for a long time and one of them was lifted off my shoulders. It was a small victory for me, but, I knew there was still more things I had to do. Over the next few weeks, I slowly began to come out to friends and surprisingly was well received even by the ones that were religious. I knew coming out to friends would be a lot different than coming out to my parents so I hesitated and next thing I knew three years had gone by. I always wanted to tell them, but I was so afraid I let it get away from me
  • 47. Tort Reform And Medical Malpractice Tort reform has intense arguments to both sides and creates a myriad of concerns. On one side of the tort reform movement, defendants such as corporations and medical professionals want limits on the damages awarded to the plaintiff. The benefit of tort reform for defendant is the financial savings. However, a cap placed on medical malpractice cases and other cases that are of negligence would standardize the monetary compensation regardless of the damage. In my opinion, Medical malpractice tort reform is a gray area, for each breach of the standard of care involves a different story and person, therefore the damages vary and should be evaluated fairly. In this essay, both sides of the argument are discussed, with a focus on medical malpractice tort reform. Proof of Malpractice For a plaintiff to triumph a claim of medical malpractice for negligence, four elements must be established. The first element is proving the defendant owed a duty of care to the plaintiff. The second is to show that the defendant breached the duty to the plaintiff. The third is to show that the plaintiff was harmed and experienced damages. Finally, the fourth is to show that the plaintiff was harmed by the actions of the defendant (Greenberg, 2009). How does medical malpractice differ from a standard negligence claim? Medical malpractice differs from a standards negligence claim and some states have different definitions. There are two primary formulations for the legal standard of

The Celtics are an organization rich with tradition, from Larry Bird to Bill Russell, no one can argue the deep history seeping through Legends Way around the Garden. Whiteside is a free agent and will most likely sign elsewhere, Wade will likely be resigned but is on the downside of his career, and no Bosh. The Heat are expected to enter free agency with about $42 million in cap space, there would have to be some maneuvering on the part of the Heat to sign Durant and still have a team around him that can compete for the title. But, how truly diverse is America? How diverse are our schools and our workplaces? Why Affirmative Action Is Necessary was published in 2015 to EBSCO by Anne Stokely. Stokely s argument is in favor of affirmative actionbecause she believes it allows everyone to compete freely in the marketplace. Affirmative action continues to be a controversial idea in our society today. The issue at hand is if affirmative action is necessary. Does America need it? Is it fair? Is it actually helping minorities get ahead? Is affirmative action causing reverse discrimination? The targeted audience seems to be major corporations and education administrators. The main point of their thesis is affirmative action helps minority groups gain access to education and jobs that they would not usually have access to. Nicole Kovach Professor Spring World Religions March 10, 2015 Turning Men into Fishermen Fishing is a popular past time all around the world. It has been around for many centuries, and has influenced and shaped many societies and cultures. One popular religion that fishing has a major impact on is Christianity. It is obvious that fishing is prominent in the Christian religion by looking at the famous Christian symbol, the Jesus fish. On many American cars one may find this very simple depiction of a fish on the back bumper. Another influence that fishing has in Christianity is the teachings in the bible. Many biblical stories are written and teach life lessons through the technique of fishing. Not only did Jesus want his disciples to be fisher of men, but he also did the majority of his sermons in a boat. Fishing plays a huge role in the Christian community and throughout time has shaped it into the religion that it is today. The Jesus fish symbol is a fish made out of two simple lines that cross in the back. It is a simple drawing yet carries so much meaning in the Christian community. The X shaped cross in the tail is supposed to represent the crucifix that Jesus died for the human sins on. The X also translates into the Greek word Christ (Edmondson, 57). The Jesus fish is often referred to as Ichthys, which is the first letters of five Greek words that make up the word fish (Hassett). Those five Greek words are Jesus Christ, Son of God, Savior .
