March of the Penguins is a documentary that provides its viewers with an inside look
at a penguins life. It shows us their mating cycle, the challenges they face and how
they work together as community. After watching this film I believe that I have
learned new information about penguins that I did not know before. Penguins are a
great example to look at when trying to understand the way that communities work.
Through this film I was able to learn that for penguins working together is crucial for
their survival. After watching March of the Penguins I believe that humans interact

My perspective changed instantly once I started my internship with Monterey
County Behavioral Health. I saw the importance and need of more bilingual social

First of all, it is justified to claim that one of the reasons for John Self s own
unreliability lies in the fact that he himself is sometimes not aware of certain
aspects of the story. Therefore, it is only a logical consequence, and by no means
part of Self s intention, that the reader is not properly informed about what is

how to go about it. These lawyers provide free initial consultations and take their fee
from the damages should they win the case. For some individuals, the opportunity is
irresistible.
A Person Sues for Emotional Reasons
This often happens because the defendant mishandled the incident that led to the
lawsuit. For example, suppose your dog bolts out of the door when you open it to
get the mail, and your dog bites a pedestrian in the street. The pedestrian becomes
furious and freely vents his anger toward you. You react in kind and get into a heated

A Child that has been raised in a habitat that is stable will acquire an identity that is
filled with confidence as well obtaining high self esteem. On the other hand, if they
become a victim of bullying, feelings of losing of control will impact their emotional
state, which will result in their sense of worth being negatively affected. Bullying,
more often than not affects everyone involved, such as, those who are bullied, their
friends, family, the bullies and those who are witness to the bullying (Stop
Bullying.Gov, 2016).

On Wednesday, July 29th, 2015 Alcoa IH department did heat stress monitor in the
potrooms as a part of the heat stress awareness program. Alcoa has heat stress
awareness program every summer start the last week of May until end of
September. Heat stress monitor, nursing toolbox, water car distribution, and provide
fruits at a work locations are the summer activities safety department provides in
Warrick Operations. Alcoa IH department selected tapping and set up carbon tasks
to be monitoring, because in this tasks employees will expose to heat more than any
tasks else. Alcoa IH department used WIBGET RSS 211D heat stress monitor Serial

In the essays that we have read this semester, the authors were effective in helping
their readers to learn something from the authors various subject matters, which
could be used in the readers own lives. I have chosen four essays that I have read this
term from which I have learned from. The four essays I decided on are: Shooting an
Elephant by George Orwell, Sex, Lies, and Conversation by Deborah Tannen, What
Really Scares Us by David Ropeik, and Delusions of Grandeur by Henry Louis Gates
, Jr. In George Orwell s Shooting an Elephant Orwell writes of his experience in

Women don t mind another point of view as long as it is in the form of a suggestion
or inquiry rather than as a direct challenge. All these differences in this essay begin to
clarify why men and women have such different expectations of communication.
Tannen suggests, once men and women understand these differences, improvement
in communication will come naturally. In the future one can use the information in
this essay to recognize his or her differences when it comes to conversation and
learn to alter their behavior to improve communication with their partner, rather

What Really Scares Us , Ropeik argues that Humans perceive risk through emotions
rather than reasoning even though we obtain a highly advanced brain which gives
us the power to reason. Ropeik says that the reason humans perceive risk
emotionally before reasoning is because our brains are biologically built to fear first
and think second. The brain has two parts that are built mainly for reasoning and
emotion. One of these parts is called the prefrontal cortex, behind your forehead,
which is the area where we do a lot of our reasoning and thinking. The other part,
which is the brain s key emotion center, is the amygdala. Because of the way the
brain is built, information gets to the amygdale first before getting to the prefrontal
