state of sleep, and you can be very easily awakened. Eye movement just starts to slow down and
muscles begin to relax.2 Then entering stage two, brain waves become slower and eye movement
ceases, sometimes displaying spindles on the epochs.2 During this stage your heart rate and breathing

Purpose: The purpose of this experiment is to use kinetics to study a solvolyis reaction
Introduction: The purpose of this experiment is to understand the kinetics of the hydrolysis of t butyl
chloride.The kinetic order of reaction was studied under the effects of variations in temperature,
solvent polarity, and structure. It is particularly observed in tertiarhalides i.e. in SN1mechanism,

In this lab experiment we determined the kinetic rate constant for a solvoysis reaction and observed
how a change in polarity of the solvents affects the reaction rate. For the specific reaction that we did

Sylvia Polish Father
The relationship between the speaker in Sylvia Plath s Daddy and her father is the most complex due
to the difficult situation that is presented. This piece begins with the speaker stating that she is fed up
with the black shoe that she has lived in for thirty years. This is the beginning of an assumed tension
between the speaker and her father that builds throughout the poem. The speaker then goes on to talk
about how she should have killed her father before he left . This is the breaking point of the
relationship between the speaker and her father. This poem shows that the father passed away, most

This is a very complex and hard problem to deal with and can be seen in the writing throughout this
poem. The next part of the poem hints at the speaker having a German background which could
suggest that her father is a German immigrant. This could have also contributed to the frustrations that
the speaker and her father faced throughout their years living in a black shoe for a home. The speaker
then goes on to discuss how a polish town was completely destroyed in a war. The speaker repeated
the word war three times which hints that this town has been through more than war, maybe even
three. Now we get more about Germany than just an exclamation in the language. The speaker is
talking about the German tongue, or language, but in a Polish town that has been destroyed by war.

Mexican Ethnicity
Ethnic groups are made up people who share a unique social and cultural background. Society has put
in our minds that we need ethnic identifications to feel part of a certain group of people. These
feelings of belonging or attachment to a certain group of people is a normal thing for us humans but,
why can t we be more than one? Many people shame on you for identifying yourself with one certain
culture when you come from a mixed background. There are millions of people that live here in the
US but are of Mexican descent. Being a Mexican American can be difficult because of all the
stereotypes and discrimination, but also carries a sense of pride.
Many times people look at a person and assume they are a specific race. Newsflash people! Mexican
Americans can all come in different types of coloring. There are the typical stereotypical remarks like,
You need to be brown to be Mexican, and if you are darker skinned then they assume you come from
Mexico and are illegal. If a light skinned Mexican goes to Mexico then they think you are gringos or
American, so basically neither side will accept you for what you truly are. People just need to accept
that there are light and dark skinned people in every ethnicity. If you are a light Mexican, people judge
you for it since you fooled them. If a person looks white but then they start speaking Spanish, others
consider it as unacceptable and assume that person must be an immigrant. Practically all Mexican

Relapse Behavior
A major issue when treating alcoholism is the likelihood of relapse. A lack of social support may
contribute to an increased likelihood of relapse, while maintaining positive social support can decrease
this risk. One study discussed the possibility of social interaction influencing relapse behavior in the
prairie vole. This study focused on the alcohol deprivation effect (ADE), where animals that had been
previously exposed to ethanol show increased consumption after a period of abstinence, modeling

Certain drugs are now being studied to determine whether they can be used to limit alcohol drinking
and potentially treat alcoholism. Prairie voles are now involved in drug and alcohol studies because of
their social nature. Naltrexone, a drug currently in use for treating alcoholism, was tested on prairie
voles to determine whether the animals could be used to study drug treatments for alcoholism. In this
study, voles shared a cage with a same sex sibling for five days, then were placed in a cage with a wire
mesh divider between animals. During a four day period, animals were continually given water and
had access to 10% ethanol each day. Animals received injections of saline the first two days, then
naltrexone or saline the last two, depending on group. Both sexes of prairie voles were affected by the
drug, as there was a significant decrease in alcohol preference and dose in animals exposed to

Reflection Paper On Nursing Patient
On 5/16/17 I was able to visit Ms. Perez at Select Specialty Hospital. I met with Theresa the internal
case manager from Select Hospital. We were able to have a case conference at the bedside with her
husband. Throughout the whole meeting Ms. Perez appeared to be sleeping. She remains on a 28%
trachea mask, nasal gastric tube, tube feeding for nutrition, non weight bearing to the lower
extremities secondary to fractures (non weight bearing is projected at 6 to 8 more weeks), and the
right arm has a cast. Occupational therapy said they get her up in a cardiac chairs but she is a full lift
by staff. Ms. Perez weighed 312 lbs. Respiratory therapy reported that they will try to wean her
trachea size down and work towards capping and then removing at some point. Mr. Perez asked what
pain medication she was on because all she does is sleep. I asked the case manager to check and she
what her level of alertness is on the second and third shifts. Per the EMS and ER report Ms. Perez was
thought to have had a seizure and a full cardiac arrest at the scene with active CPR by a bystander, but
once in ER she was alert and oriented. The CT scan of the head was negative. Nursing reported that
she is only on one Norco every eight hours for pain and a very low dose of Gabapentin. He also
reported that a Neuropsychologist was in on Sunday to see her, and he increased her Cymbalta. We did
