Creating Art Analysis
The feel of the brush and the smoothness of the stroke when paint meets the canvas. This feeling is
what I strive for. Art to me is an escape and simply to put it in terms is my way of life. It s not just my
hobby, interest, or talent it is so much more to me. When I decide to create something it comes from
an inspiration that overcomes me. I have many ranges of art that I do such as, painting in oil, acrylic,
or watercolor. Several of my pieces of art is from graphite pencil. Most of my topics are of people or
well at least the faces of the people. I mainly draw what I like to but sometimes I will take request
from people and draw them what they want. The reason that I tend to draw faces more than anything
else is because I like to express my feelings through the facial expressions of the ones I draw. Creating
art gives me a fulfillment, one that makes me feel like I ve done something good. I don t just do it
because it makes me feel good but because I enjoy it. Making something that shows my emotions and
then other people start to feel what I feel without words. The way that this can be really seen is when
the facial expressions change to what ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A new perspective to look at things not saying that I see things differently but I tend to look at things
different ways. Such as when you look at a face some normally just see that, but I see proportions and
how I would start to draw it mentally in my head. Art has given me something to be passionate about,
something to love. Not only that but something to look forward to when my day becomes not so
happy. It has created me a future a happy future of doing what I want and not stuck wishing I did
something that I enjoy greatly. Through art I ve learned what appeals to the eye of the average human.

Hinduism, Hinduism And Buddhism
Since the beginning of mankind, which began over 1.3 million years ago humans have been fascinated
with life it self and the journeys it has to offer. Unfortunately, mankind also had to come to terms with
the idea that along with life follows death, also known as the afterlife. The belief in what one s
mind/body does when they have entered the afterlife has become a controversial subject across many
religions. Religions such as Hinduism and Buddhism have provided a multitude of similar and
different analysis behind their specific beliefs and practices. Similar to many religions practiced
around the world, Hinduism portrays a great amount of belief in worshipping gods that they believe
play a special role in their history. Though when speaking of Hinduism, I should mention that it does
not consist of a single, dominant religion. It is a broad term for the masses of religious denominations
created over the past years throughout the southern region of Asia that have been practiced
continuously by followers. Hinduism, unlike Buddhism, expresses the afterlife as an indefinite cycle
included in life, where an individual is reincarnated numerous times through the course of various
lifetimes.
Though, when approaching the subject of the afterlife it is keen to acknowledge that Vedic Hindus
previously relied heavily on sacrificing to align one s self with the universe, therefore they portrayed
no real sense of care for the afterlife. Due to the belief that karma in one s present

The Use of Coal as an Energy Source in the United States...
Energy from Coal: The Nation s Dirty Secret
Abstract
While technology has led the world into such an advanced setting with intelligent machinery and
automated devices, coal has remained a loyal contributor of the energy needed by these various types
of equipment to function properly. Almost half of the electricity in the United States is produced in
coal plants where coal is burnt to produce this energy [1]. Both beneficial and detrimental factors
come with this alternative source of energy, known by the world for centuries.
Background Information
Even with the quantity of fossil fuels dwindling due to human consumption, coal has remained one of
the cheapest, reliable sources of electricity, natural gas, diesel fuel, and steel ... Show more content on

But there are also many detrimental factors as well, since the production of coal results in air
pollution, sulfur dioxide emission, carbon dioxide emission, acid rain, and hazardous waste [4]. These
environmental problems are due to both the mining of coal and coal production plants. Many issues
arise with the mining of coal. Firstly, the safety of miners is put at risk as they descend hundreds of
feet below the surface of the Earth. After many years in this field of work, many miners develop black
lung because of inhaling the coal extensively. Secondly, the extraction of coal is very costly due to the
machinery needed along with the transportation of the coal after it has been mined to the various
factories that are able to extract the sulfur impurities in coal and burn the coal for energy [5]. New
methods have been developed to help with some of the issues relating to coal production. To rid the
surrounding environment of toxic pollution, emission scrubbing
technology has been installed into coal plants. This is approximately 90% to 95% affective in
eliminating the mercury, sulfur, and nitrogen emissions [6]. As for the deep mining issues, there is
another method to retrieve coal from the Earth, removing the entire mountain tops covering a reserve
of coal beneath. Although this

Uncle Tom s Cabin By Harriet Beecher Stowe
In Chapter 3 of Uncle Tom s Cabin by Harriet Beecher Stowe, The historical point within the chapter
is Canada. George Harris, Eliza s husband, lives on a plantation where he is deprived everything he
has accomplished because of his master s jealousy, racism, and cruelty. He dreams of escaping to
Canada and starting a real life with his wife and son. Canada represented freedom for many Slaves in
this time period because even in the North it was dangerous to stay as a runaway slave. The fugitive
slave law, and many racists would haunt the minds of many blacks and was not a very pleasant
lifestyle to call freedom. Canada was truly free for blacks, and like Uncle Tom s Cabin, was a symbol
of freedom to many Blacks. 6. Is social, political, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The characters Stowe throws at the reader always leave a lasting impression, whether it is a young
innocent moral girl like Eva, or a ruthless slave owner like Simon Legree, Stowe institutes her beliefs
into a book that still reflects real life events in the 1840s and 50s. The most enjoyable parts of the
story are during Tom s days with Eva on the St. Clare s plantation. The saint like character that Eva
acts as rubs off on Tom. This is very enjoyable because both of these characters are extremely likable
and bond despite their completely different exteriors. In addition to this, the mischief of Cassy and
Emmeline to make Simon Legree believe that ghosts haunted his house was extremely comical. On
the contrary, Tom s extreme resilience and Jesus like qualities became annoying and unrealistic. The
willingness to die a martyr for slaves he did not even know, his stubbornness to not cooperate with
Simon, or his unwillingness to runaway from Simon s plantation was extremely annoying. The other
part of the book that was not very enjoyable was when St. Clare foreshadowed his death by saying that
he would eventually get around to signing Tom s freedom papers. He never actually got around to it
because he died before he could do it. This was especially annoying and extremely coincidental. All in
all the book was a great novel with great character development, but the bias, exaggeration, and

Child Support Calculated
Whether you are currently involved in divorce proceedings or you have been divorced or separated for
a while, if there are children involved, child support might be an ongoing battle. If you are the parent
getting the child support, you likely want to make sure your children are properly cared for financially.
If you are the parent paying the child support, you want your children to be cared for financially, but
you also do not want to pay more than your fair share for the care of your children. There are several
things you should understand about child support according to Minnesota law.
Who Can Ask for Child Support?
Generally, the custodial parent will get child support from the non custodial parent. This can happen
after a divorce or legal separation, as well as between parents who were never married. If there is a
dispute ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There are several factors that go into determining child support payments. This includes both parents
gross income, the number of children, and the custodial arrangement. For example, a parent who has
the child for three days a week will pay less in child support than a parent who only sees the child a
few hours a month. The parent who has the child more often is likely already paying more for the
child s needs and expenses.
When it comes to calculating the actual financial support needed for a child, expenses can be divided
into three categories. The first, basic support, includes things like housing, food, clothing, education,
transportation, and other expenses associated with raising a child. The second area is medical support.
This includes the cost of health and dental insurance and costs associated with medical and dental care
for the child. The final category is child care support, which covers day care costs for the child while
the parents are working. Some of these costs will stay pretty steady throughout your child s life while
others will go up or down depending upon the family s

If the question mark does not succeed in becoming the market leader, then after perhaps years of cash
consumption it will degenerate into a dog when the market growth declines. Question marks must be
analyzed carefully in order to determine whether they are worth the investment required to grow
market share.
Stars are units with a high market share in a fast growing industry (High Market Share / High Market
Growth). The hope is that stars become the next cash cows. Sustaining the business unit s market
leadership may require extra cash, but this is worthwhile if that s what it takes for the unit to remain a
leader. When growth slows, if they have been able to maintain their category leadership stars become
cash cows, else they become dogs due to low relative market share.
As a particular industry matures and its growth slows, all business units become either cash cows or
dogs. The natural cycle for most business units is that they start as question marks, then turn into stars.
Eventually the market stops growing thus the business unit becomes a cash cow. At the end of the
cycle the cash cow turns into a dog.
The overall goal of this ranking was to help corporate analysts decide which of their business units to
fund, and how much; and which units to sell. Managers were supposed to gain perspective from this
analysis that allowed them to plan with confidence to use money generated by the cash cows to fund
the stars and, possibly, the question marks. As the

The Rage Against The Machine
It was a time of long hair and stealth window escapes at the midnight hour; a time of skipping class,
anti establishment sentiment spewing forth from my foul, juvenile, remorseless mouth. I was mad at
the world on the grounds that I felt as though I had been dealt a lousy hand in this life. In my infinite
teenage wisdom, I had convinced myself if I could not everything my way, I would set the world
ablaze and watch it burn. Full of aggressive energy, anger was the emotion with which I chose to
express myself. Naturally, I found fuel for the fire in a band named Rage against the Machine. Front
man Zach de la Rocha put the emotions I was experiencing into a lyrical poetic, militant, rap core
metal form. It was unlike anything I had ever heard before: pure, intellectual, and most of all,
unfiltered. Initially, I was drawn to Rage because of their sound and musical talent, with their
unparalleled ability to blend various genres of music and produce something authentic in a world of
simulacra. On the other hand, I had little knowledge of events, names, and issues that this band was
bringing to my attention: real life sociological issues like economic inequality, political prisoners held
captive in our own country, brute force control, and the reality that freedom is a hoodwink illusion.
These are topics that I have evolved to feel passionately about and of which I wish others were more
conscious and aware. Subject matters that are so heinous that one does not actually desire or

Religion, Money, And The Scientific Revolution
The modern world was created through many events such as Scientific Revolutions, factors such as
religion, money, and even the creation and fall of widely known empires. With these revolutions,
factors and institutions it shaped the world from the start to how we see the world now. One revolution
couldn t happen without the start of another down the road, and the fall of one empire would spark the
start of another. These are only a few reasons of how the modern world was created. The most
important ones that shaped the world we live in today are religion, money, and the Scientific
Revolution.
Religion can be defined as a system of human norms and values that is founded on a belief in a
superhuman order (p.210). Religion helped cultures define ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Without the evolution of money from shells and skills that people had we would not have bills and
coins and our trade would be limited greatly and this would not make us a modern world. A money
system needed to happen for the world to continue effectively. As well as the evolution of religion this
plays a big part in how we communicate with each other. If religion empires would have not been
conquered by people who believe in humanist religions we could possibly still be under a rule where
people have to summit to a certain religion. Lastly the Scientific Revolution was able to shape our
modern world for the best. The Scientific Revolution almost coincided with the Industrial Revolution
in that new technology emerged. It also created modern medicine which is vital to anyone in todays
world. Although it funded capitalist creed it was not such a bad thing because we need capital in our
world to keep finding new findings. People are not just going to go and explore unknown parts of the
world for free. Our modern world is a beautiful place even though some issues that occurred during
the formation of modernization the planet are still being worked on today.

Analysis Of I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings
Welcome, today we will be taken on a journey by deconstructing and analysing the poem I Know Why
the Caged Bird Sings by Maya Angelou. This poem explores the theme of Oppression which
illustrates the nature of helicopter parenting upon today s youth. We will include a contemporary
source which likewise explores this challenging youth issue. Essentially, this poem displays the
damage that helicopter parenting can have on a child s youth, oppressing them, taking their childhood
away from them.
Angelou s poem I Know Why the Cages Bird Sings expresses the idea that freedom is a natural state
and knowledge of this fact cannot be rid of by any amount of oppression, limitation or confinement
from different opportunities. The poem contrasts a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the last stanza, the caged bird s song symbolises the emotions and cries of freedom. The
combination of the two represents that there is a need for every child to reach their full potential.
Something that cannot be achieved with helicopter parenting and the barriers placed upon them.
This poem contains another literary device called juxtaposition. The free bird is juxtaposed with the
caged bird, both are described but they are very different. Adults need to think about how they use
their power over children. Helicopter parenting; is using power that causes children to be restricted
and to shrivel up inside rather than flourish just like the caged and free bird in the poem. Angelou s
free bird is a free child, someone who has the freedom to pursue their ambitions no matter how
questionably they become.
Near the end of the poem it is revealed that the bird opens his throat to sing Maya Angelou felt this
way in her own life. She wrote, sang and danced because it was her way of expressing her longing for
freedom despite being oppressed for most of her life. Although freedom, to the caged bird, is fearful
because it is unknown , he still sings a fearful trill . The cries of help are heard but the overarching
parents only hear it as background noise.
Maya felt strongly about oppression and this pushed her to make this poem to achieve social justice

Washington State Symbols
The United States Congress consists of two chambers; the Senate and the House of Representatives (O
Connor, Sabato, Yanus, 2015). Congress is the legislative branch of government with a primary goal
of creating the laws as well as to represent the people s interest in national politics (O Connor et al.,
2015). Each of the 50 states gets its share of 435 representatives based upon its population in which a
constitutionally delegated process also known as apportionment adjusts the number of seats allotted to
each state accordingly following a U.S. Census decennial (O Connor et al., 2015).
The State of Washington officially became the 42nd state to be part of the Union in 1889 and the only
state in the United States named after one of the nation s president (Wash. Rev. Code § 1.20.080

Unique Caribbean Festival A festival is a specific period of the year designated for feasting,

Caribbean each island has its own unique, extraordinary culture which can be seen by the exciting and
enticing festivals; almost every island hosts an annual festival celebrating its unique heritage with
music, dance, food, and exhibitions. Some of the festivals celebrated in the Caribbean are similar to
New Orleans Mardi Gras and Rio de Janeiro s carnival but they are merged with local folklore, culture

When the season for the festivals arrives islanders get to enjoy them for weeks or a few days. There is

Obligations In The Things They Carried By Tim O Brien
Obligations The definition for obligation is Something by which a person is bound or obliged to do
certain things, and which arises out of a sense of duty or results from custom, law, etc. Obligation
comes in many different forms, like how soldiers are obligated to fight for their country. This exact
example can be seen morally and socially in the novel The Things They Carried by Tim O Brien
where he tells many stories from his time in or related to the Vietnam War and tries to make the reader
feel like he did in the moment of said stories. In The Things They Carried by Tim O Brien the themes

The Repository Of Data With Minimal Effect On The...
M359 TMA Jean Matar 130876 Number 1: 1.1: A green database refers to the repository of data with
minimal effect to the environment. It is an environment friendly database unlike the present day data
center To achieve green i.e. environment friendliness, we need a proper planning and strategy. We
must first understand the energy requirement of our data center. Based on the understanding we have
to develop a plan to build or upgrade the data warehouse to make it energy efficient. Then we have to
optimize and load balance the server rooms Afterwards, to increase performance we have to follow
virtualization of the server. The final steps include the analysis of the developed system and report to
the authorities. 1.2: At present the data centers are a great matter of concern and there is a global
understanding about the future of the data centers. Although data centers are developing at a very fast

12,000 college graduates in the contiguous United States with a 62% response rate showed the
following: 45% of all students cheated on an examination that counted toward 10 20% of their grade
and 51% cheated on an exam that counted toward 33 50% of their final grade. When asked why they
cheated, 70% of cheaters stated that they did not fear failing the exams on which they cheated and that
cheating for a higher grade was the primary motive. The most common method of cheating involved
electronic technologies such as instant messaging via telephone, e mail, internet searches, and other ...

83% of college professors queried replied to the poll. 94% of responders regarded cheating on their
campus as a serious threat to their college s quality and integrity. Almost all the professors who
responded believe that their has been an increase in student academic dishonesty in the last 10 years.
Not only do professors fear that their schools risk defamation of reputation as a result of cheating, but
also that the rise in cheating will lead to an ignnorant workforce, incapable of meeting the challenges
of an increasingly technical and sophisticated society.
Electronic supported cheating allows students to falsify, lie and plagarize more successfully than ever
before. Most electronic devices used to cheat can be hidden in the palm of a hand or on a student s lap
without directing attention from a proctor or teacher. The push by parents to do what it takes to
succeed at all costs is one of many influences driving cheaters. Unfortunately, as a result of cheating,
American Colleges are producing fewer and fewer individuals capable of functioning in our high tech
society. Medical schools are accepting students with lower academic standing and we are trying to fill
the intellectual void by bringing foreign students into the U.S. graduate schools.
We are now seeing the effects of cheating in are markets and post graduate student profiles. Thee
dearth of well educated individuals in the U.S. has disrupted the work

Ocean Overfishing Effects
Ocean overfishing is the process of removing wildlife from the ocean (or any other water sources) at
unsustainable rates that lower their replication rates. Overfishing began around the mid 20th century.
At this time, there were many attempts to increase the pricings and variety of protein rich foods; this
led to the government trying to increase the fish capacity. While the fishing operations advanced, the
fish populations deteriorated. These operations ended up turning into profit hoggers and started to
steal the ocean s wildlife. Considering that this was just the onset of overfishing, the buyers became
adapted to having a variety of fish at reasonable prices. In 1989, after about 90 million tons of fish
were taken from the ocean, the products ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Simply put, fish do not stand a chance against the most intelligent and dangerous hunters: humans. If
people carry on at this pace, it can build a biodiversity crisis larger and more severe than humanity has
ever experienced. That is why specialists have formed organizations and societies against overfishing
to help decrease the number of fish that vanish every day. Greenpeace East Asia helps to advise people
that we depend on earth s oceans or life cannot exist without them (Defending Our Oceans 1).
Greenpeace East Asia makes certain that God s creations are indefinitely defended by humans. From
reducing air pollution to conserving food and agriculture, Greenpeace, along with companies and
establishments aside from it, help maintain a neutral balance between life on land and in water. There
are many ways to prevent overfishing from becoming even more of an issue in the world. For
instance, normal everyday people can spread the word about how overfishing is a huge crisis that
needs to be dealt with appropriately. Also, when people shop for fish they should choose the one s that
are not endangered or harmed by overfishing. Besides everyday people, fisheries need to start pitching
in. They need to enact safe catch limits, which is a limit on the number of fish caught by a fishery. In
addition, they need to take control on bycatch. Another thing they can do is monitor fishermen when

Data Mining Information About Data
Abstract Data Mining extracts useful information about data. In other words, Data Mining extracts the
knowledge or interesting information from large set of structured data that are from different sources.
Data mining applications are used in a range of areas such as it is used for financial data analysis,
retail and telecommunication industries, banking, health care and medicine. In health care, the data
mining is mainly used for disease prediction. In data mining, there are several techniques have been
developed and used for predicting the diseases that includes data preprocessing, classification,
clustering, association rules and sequential patterns. This paper analyses the performance of two
classification techniques such as Bayesian ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The medical data processing has the high potential in medical domain for extracting the hidden
patterns within the dataset [15]. These patterns are used for clinical diagnosis and prognosis. The
medical data are generally distributed, heterogeneous and voluminous in nature. An important
problem in medical analysis is to achieve the correct diagnosis of certain important information. This
paper describes classification algorithms and it is used to analyze the performance of these algorithms.
The accuracy measures are True Positive (TP) rate, F Measure, Receiver Operating Characteristics
(ROC) area and Kappa Statistics. The error measures are Mean Absolute Error (M.A.E), Root Mean
Squared Error (R.M.S.E), Relative Absolute Error (R.A.E) and Relative Root Squared Error (R.R.S.E)
[5]. Section 2 explains the literature review; Section 3 describes the classification algorithms.
Experimental results are analyzed in section 4 and section 5 illustrates the conclusion of this paper.
II. LITERATURE REVIEW Dr. S.Vijayarani et al., [11] determined the performance of various
classification techniques in data mining for predicting the heart disease from the heart disease dataset.
The classification algorithms is used and tested in this work. The performance factors evaluate the
efficiency of algorithms, clustering accuracy and error rate. The result illustrates LOGISTICS

THEOLOGICAL ESSAY:
THE MAGNITUDE OF SIN
THEO 202 001
Statement of Topic The analysis of biblical data provides the best understanding of the nature, source
and consequences of sin. Sin is any evil action or motive that is in opposition to God. Sin has very
serious consequences when it comes to relationships between the sinner and God. Sin also has severe
consequences that affect the individual sinner, causing the individual to have social implications. It is
evident from both the Old Testament and the New Testament descriptions of sin, that sin is universal.
Both testaments describe the extent and intensiveness of sin. Obtaining a contemporary view of the
magnitude of sin incorporates a biblical perspective and the best ... Show more content on

45,79). Basically, everything you do is right and wrong doesn t exist. Just accept yourself for who you
are. The bible on the other hand says that some acts of conduct is just not acceptable. For example
Amos 5:15 and Romans 12:9, hate evil love good. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good. How can
we do this if nothing is any worse than anything else?
Psychology also often justifies sin in the name of freedom and ventilating feelings. Paul C. Vitz writes
about Donald Campbell, president of the American Psychological Association, criticized psychology
as follows; There is in psychology today a general background assumption...that repressive or
inhibitory moral traditions are wrong (p. 49). The secular psychologists advocate that the clients
should freely express what they thing and feel. For example, pornography is justified as an outlet for
sexual desires that might otherwise express themselves in violent assaults. The bible teaches that
people ought to control and discipline themselves to do God s will. In Galatians 5:22 self control is
listed as a fruit of the spirit that is to be developed.
The final issue secular psychologists have against the sin nature is that sin should not be condemned
or rebuked. Psychologists often say that sinful practices should be handled in a non directive, non
judgmental way. They are told to listen sympathetically, but never to tell people their conduct is wrong
or sinful, never rebuke them, never tell them they must

Differential Staining Procedure
There are two types of staining: simple staining and differential staining. Staining is used to identify
unknown bacterium including the structures within it and aseptic techniques should always be used.
Bacterium is a transparent cell. Due to this, bacteria has to be stained and identified to be categorized.
During simple staining, a sample of bacteria is taken from a culture. First, water is placed on a slide
with a loop then, the bacteria is scratched onto the slide. It must dry completely before it is fixed to the
slide with the use of a Bunsen burner. One stain such as crystal violet is placed on the slide for one
minute to add color. Once it has been rinsed off and dried with blotting paper it can be viewed under a

Triphenyltetrazolium chloride (TTC) is turns the bacteria to a red color making it easier to see if the

Causes Of Munchausen Syndrome
When somebody s loved one or their own children are sick or have passed away, its normal for them
and others to feel distraught. Somebody with Munchausen Syndrome might not feel so distraught at
first, it is more of a satisfying feeling for them. An individual with this disorder intentionally gets their
children sick or exaggerates the symptoms, possibly even to the point it results in murder. They enjoy
and feed off the attention and sympathy they receive from family and friends even hospital personnel.
With this disorder comes several different symptoms, causes and effects, and treatments. Before being

The Tinning children fell victims to their Munchausen mother, Marybeth. Back in 1972, Jennifer, Mr.
and Mrs. Tinning s eight year old daughter had passed away from acute meningitis. As a very detached
and cold husband already, Mr. Tinning showed no support or sympathy towards his grieving wife after
their daughter s passing. It did however bring a wave of sympathy from family and friends. Just shy of
3 weeks following Jennifer s death, Marybeth had to rush her two year old son to the hospital where
he was pronounced dead due to a viral infection accompanied by a seizure disorder. Unfortunately no
autopsy was performed. The once lonely and ignored practical nurse just had to experience not losing
just one, but two children within only 3 weeks time. Marybeth could not help but notice how the
deaths of her children brought a tremendous amount of attention and sympathy. Now remember it is
only 1972, it wasn t until a couple years later in 1977 that medical field and law enforcement became
more aware of this upcoming condition that could lead to homicidal motives. Six weeks after the
second child, Joseph s death, calamity hit the Tinning family when four year old Barbra had passed.
Although suspicious were growing after now a third child from the Tinning family had died, all foul
play was ruled out due to cause of death being cardiac arrest. Roughly a year and a half later after
Barbra s unexpected death and two prior, their two week old son died in the hospital while being
treated for a mysterious illness brought in by Mrs. Tinning. Unable to identify the cause of death, the
pathologist recorded it as a SIDS case. Nathan Tinning, their five month old died in September of

Influencers throughout history can be found anywhere. One common theme many influencers share is
their educational success. These influencers chose to invest in their education no matter hard the path
seemed to be or how high of a mountain they had to climb. They chose to overcome their obstacles,
even if they didn t enjoy some parts of it. They knew there had to be a light at the end of the tunnel, so
they continued going through it and growing stronger with every step they took. These influencers
used their knowledge not only to be successful, but to help others who weren t as fortunate.

So Mexicans Are Taking Jobs From Americans, By Jimmy...
America is characterized as a country of endless opportunities and freedom. People risk their lives to
escape their countries searching for a diversified and opportunistic nation in search of a better quality
of life. However, foreigners face a possible likelihood of being unable to escape poverty due to their
immigration status and the disadvantage of lacking educational accomplishments. Numerous
Americans have become outraged over time due to the decreased employment opportunities and have
placed their blame towards non citizens. Due to the vast majority of these aliens belonging to Mexico,
the racial assumption continues to be directed at Mexicans when referring to immigrants. Jimmy
Santiago Baca s poem, So Mexicans Are Taking Jobs from Americans, centralizes on the
misconception of Mexicans commandeering positions in the workforce from native born American
citizens. Baca imposes his belief that non citizen workers are not imposing themselves in the
workforce and creates many visualizations for his audience through his experiences on the racial
stereotype. This literary piece creates an emotional topic between the speaker and the audience which
allows people who oppose to understand the struggles that immigrants go through. Baca emphasizes
and verbally illustrates the irrational accusations directed at aliens using mockery to battle with the
truth towards their ideology and to connect with his audience deeply.
Initially, the speaker appears as someone who has

The Main Problem with Management
During my four years at USC, my course focus has mainly been on management. Initially, I began as a
Sport and Entertainment Management major, and then transferred into the Bachelor of Arts in
Interdisciplinary Arts major. The BAIS has allowed me the flexibility to expand my interest in
management in general. My two areas of focus in the BAIS are Sport and Entertainment Management
and Business Management. Accordingly, my paper will focus on a problem in management.
My work experience and my course experiences have provided me the basis for selecting a problem in
management. Additionally, I spoke with my manager in the food industry, as well as a department
manager in a local retail store. My observation and those of the two managers all focus on the need for
changing the current work ethic, especially as it applies to the younger generation. Since I have known
this assignment was coming up, I have been thinking for some time which problem I would select as
one to take on for this assignment. It was somewhat ironical that the IDST 497 professor, Dr. Truell,
recently posted two related readings on Blackboard that will be the source of a later course
assignment. Content from those articles will be helpful in explaining how this generation is different.
These differences are reflected in many of the concerns managers today have identified.
In 1904, Max Weber coined the term work ethic in a religious sense and actually referred to the term
as the Protestant work ethic (Fine

an accident or damage to someone s health. All work exposes people to hazards be they: Dangerous
machinery, electricity, manual handling, etc.
This is why the current health and safety regulations and legislation are vitally important to both
employer and employee. There are many laws, legislation and regulatory bodies in place to ensure

The need for COSHH is to minimise the risk associated with hazardous substances. Most businesses
use substances be they substances such as acids or poisons to items like cleaning products or batteries,
all of these could cause harm to employees, contractors and other people. COSHH ensures these
hazards are known and controlled by properly trained people.
RIDDOR is a law concerning the reporting of accidents in the work place, this includes accidents
resulting in death of any person, accidents resulting in specified injuries to workers, non fatal
accidents requiring hospital treatment to non workers and dangerous occurrences. RIDDOR is needed
to provide information that enables the health and safety executive to identify how and where risks
arise and where investigations are needed to make sure health and safety laws are not breached.
UKAS is the sole national accreditation body recognised by the British government to assess the
competence of organisations that provide certification, testing, inspection, and calibration services. In

Oceania As A Dystopia In George Orwell s 1984
The word utopia originates from two Greek words which translate to no place and good place . If that
is true, then when that word is used, it implies that there is no place that is all good. In the beginning,
Oceania in George Orwell s 1984 appears to be an exceptional place. As the novel progresses, it
becomes clear that Oceania is quite the opposite. The people are suffering, limited in every aspect, and
always being watched. Even Newspeak, which they are working to perfect, would limit their thought
and speech. The purpose of Newspeak was not only to provide a medium of expression for the
worldview and mental habits proper to the devotees of Ingsoc, but to make all other modes of thought
impossible, (Orwell 303). Oceania is a dystopia as a result ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They didn t want to keep the power for the protection or well being of the people, they wanted it to
better the party. The inner party did whatever it would take to prevent an uprising which could result
in the loss of power. Orwell uses war as a form of mind control to show how a government can
distract and redirect their population s attention by creating one common enemy for everyone to hate
(Glover). If the government can get all their people to unite and hate the common enemy, that allows
them to have the distraction they need to keep their power, change history, and everything else they do
to restrict the people. The mutual enemy serves only as a direction of attention to allow the
government to get away with everything, as well as a method to show their people what they can do.
Atomic warfare made total war unthinkable, but it suits the political leaders of Oceania, Eurasia and
Eastasia to help them control their population and keep them in a constant state of fear (Knapp). In
that sense, the government uses fear not to keep the people hidden, but in hopes that the people stay
aware and under

  • 3. Creating Art Analysis The feel of the brush and the smoothness of the stroke when paint meets the canvas. This feeling is what I strive for. Art to me is an escape and simply to put it in terms is my way of life. It s not just my hobby, interest, or talent it is so much more to me. When I decide to create something it comes from an inspiration that overcomes me. I have many ranges of art that I do such as, painting in oil, acrylic, or watercolor. Several of my pieces of art is from graphite pencil. Most of my topics are of people or well at least the faces of the people. I mainly draw what I like to but sometimes I will take request from people and draw them what they want. The reason that I tend to draw faces more than anything else is because I like to express my feelings through the facial expressions of the ones I draw. Creating art gives me a fulfillment, one that makes me feel like I ve done something good. I don t just do it because it makes me feel good but because I enjoy it. Making something that shows my emotions and then other people start to feel what I feel without words. The way that this can be really seen is when the facial expressions change to what ... Such as when you look at a face some normally just see that, but I see proportions and how I would start to draw it mentally in my head. Art has given me something to be passionate about, something to love. Not only that but something to look forward to when my day becomes not so happy. It has created me a future a happy future of doing what I want and not stuck wishing I did something that I enjoy greatly. Through art I ve learned what appeals to the eye of the average human. When helping someone pick the colors to paint their room and what colors the furniture should be. I know what colors go together to express moods, feelings, and what is calming to the naked ... • 5. Hinduism, Hinduism And Buddhism Since the beginning of mankind, which began over 1.3 million years ago humans have been fascinated with life it self and the journeys it has to offer. Unfortunately, mankind also had to come to terms with the idea that along with life follows death, also known as the afterlife. The belief in what one s mind/body does when they have entered the afterlife has become a controversial subject across many religions. Religions such as Hinduism and Buddhism have provided a multitude of similar and different analysis behind their specific beliefs and practices. Similar to many religions practiced around the world, Hinduism portrays a great amount of belief in worshipping gods that they believe play a special role in their history. Though when speaking of Hinduism, I should mention that it does not consist of a single, dominant religion. It is a broad term for the masses of religious denominations created over the past years throughout the southern region of Asia that have been practiced continuously by followers. Hinduism, unlike Buddhism, expresses the afterlife as an indefinite cycle included in life, where an individual is reincarnated numerous times through the course of various lifetimes. Though, when approaching the subject of the afterlife it is keen to acknowledge that Vedic Hindus previously relied heavily on sacrificing to align one s self with the universe, therefore they portrayed no real sense of care for the afterlife. Due to the belief that karma in one s present ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. The Use of Coal as an Energy Source in the United States... Energy from Coal: The Nation s Dirty Secret Abstract While technology has led the world into such an advanced setting with intelligent machinery and automated devices, coal has remained a loyal contributor of the energy needed by these various types of equipment to function properly. Almost half of the electricity in the United States is produced in coal plants where coal is burnt to produce this energy [1]. Both beneficial and detrimental factors come with this alternative source of energy, known by the world for centuries. Background Information Even with the quantity of fossil fuels dwindling due to human consumption, coal has remained one of the cheapest, reliable sources of electricity, natural gas, diesel fuel, and steel ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... But there are also many detrimental factors as well, since the production of coal results in air pollution, sulfur dioxide emission, carbon dioxide emission, acid rain, and hazardous waste [4]. These environmental problems are due to both the mining of coal and coal production plants. Many issues arise with the mining of coal. Firstly, the safety of miners is put at risk as they descend hundreds of feet below the surface of the Earth. After many years in this field of work, many miners develop black lung because of inhaling the coal extensively. Secondly, the extraction of coal is very costly due to the machinery needed along with the transportation of the coal after it has been mined to the various factories that are able to extract the sulfur impurities in coal and burn the coal for energy [5]. New methods have been developed to help with some of the issues relating to coal production. To rid the surrounding environment of toxic pollution, emission scrubbing technology has been installed into coal plants. This is approximately 90% to 95% affective in eliminating the mercury, sulfur, and nitrogen emissions [6]. As for the deep mining issues, there is another method to retrieve coal from the Earth, removing the entire mountain tops covering a reserve of coal beneath. Although this ... • 7. Uncle Tom s Cabin By Harriet Beecher Stowe In Chapter 3 of Uncle Tom s Cabin by Harriet Beecher Stowe, The historical point within the chapter is Canada. George Harris, Eliza s husband, lives on a plantation where he is deprived everything he has accomplished because of his master s jealousy, racism, and cruelty. He dreams of escaping to Canada and starting a real life with his wife and son. Canada represented freedom for many Slaves in this time period because even in the North it was dangerous to stay as a runaway slave. The fugitive slave law, and many racists would haunt the minds of many blacks and was not a very pleasant lifestyle to call freedom. Canada was truly free for blacks, and like Uncle Tom s Cabin, was a symbol of freedom to many Blacks. 6. Is social, political, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The characters Stowe throws at the reader always leave a lasting impression, whether it is a young innocent moral girl like Eva, or a ruthless slave owner like Simon Legree, Stowe institutes her beliefs into a book that still reflects real life events in the 1840s and 50s. The most enjoyable parts of the story are during Tom s days with Eva on the St. Clare s plantation. The saint like character that Eva acts as rubs off on Tom. This is very enjoyable because both of these characters are extremely likable and bond despite their completely different exteriors. In addition to this, the mischief of Cassy and Emmeline to make Simon Legree believe that ghosts haunted his house was extremely comical. On the contrary, Tom s extreme resilience and Jesus like qualities became annoying and unrealistic. The willingness to die a martyr for slaves he did not even know, his stubbornness to not cooperate with Simon, or his unwillingness to runaway from Simon s plantation was extremely annoying. The other part of the book that was not very enjoyable was when St. Clare foreshadowed his death by saying that he would eventually get around to signing Tom s freedom papers. He never actually got around to it because he died before he could do it. This was especially annoying and extremely coincidental. All in all the book was a great novel with great character development, but the bias, exaggeration, and predictable ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Child Support Calculated Whether you are currently involved in divorce proceedings or you have been divorced or separated for a while, if there are children involved, child support might be an ongoing battle. If you are the parent getting the child support, you likely want to make sure your children are properly cared for financially. If you are the parent paying the child support, you want your children to be cared for financially, but you also do not want to pay more than your fair share for the care of your children. There are several things you should understand about child support according to Minnesota law. Who Can Ask for Child Support? Generally, the custodial parent will get child support from the non custodial parent. This can happen after a divorce or legal separation, as well as between parents who were never married. If there is a dispute ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... There are several factors that go into determining child support payments. This includes both parents gross income, the number of children, and the custodial arrangement. For example, a parent who has the child for three days a week will pay less in child support than a parent who only sees the child a few hours a month. The parent who has the child more often is likely already paying more for the child s needs and expenses. When it comes to calculating the actual financial support needed for a child, expenses can be divided into three categories. The first, basic support, includes things like housing, food, clothing, education, transportation, and other expenses associated with raising a child. The second area is medical support. This includes the cost of health and dental insurance and costs associated with medical and dental care for the child. The final category is child care support, which covers day care costs for the child while the parents are working. If the question mark does not succeed in becoming the market leader, then after perhaps years of cash consumption it will degenerate into a dog when the market growth declines. Question marks must be analyzed carefully in order to determine whether they are worth the investment required to grow market share. Stars are units with a high market share in a fast growing industry (High Market Share / High Market Growth). The hope is that stars become the next cash cows. Sustaining the business unit s market leadership may require extra cash, but this is worthwhile if that s what it takes for the unit to remain a leader. When growth slows, if they have been able to maintain their category leadership stars become cash cows, else they become dogs due to low relative market share. As a particular industry matures and its growth slows, all business units become either cash cows or dogs. The natural cycle for most business units is that they start as question marks, then turn into stars. Eventually the market stops growing thus the business unit becomes a cash cow. At the end of the cycle the cash cow turns into a dog. The overall goal of this ranking was to help corporate analysts decide which of their business units to fund, and how much; and which units to sell. • 12. The Rage Against The Machine It was a time of long hair and stealth window escapes at the midnight hour; a time of skipping class, anti establishment sentiment spewing forth from my foul, juvenile, remorseless mouth. I was mad at the world on the grounds that I felt as though I had been dealt a lousy hand in this life. In my infinite teenage wisdom, I had convinced myself if I could not everything my way, I would set the world ablaze and watch it burn. Full of aggressive energy, anger was the emotion with which I chose to express myself. Naturally, I found fuel for the fire in a band named Rage against the Machine. Front man Zach de la Rocha put the emotions I was experiencing into a lyrical poetic, militant, rap core metal form. It was unlike anything I had ever heard before: pure, intellectual, and most of all, unfiltered. Initially, I was drawn to Rage because of their sound and musical talent, with their unparalleled ability to blend various genres of music and produce something authentic in a world of simulacra. On the other hand, I had little knowledge of events, names, and issues that this band was bringing to my attention: real life sociological issues like economic inequality, political prisoners held captive in our own country, brute force control, and the reality that freedom is a hoodwink illusion. These are topics that I have evolved to feel passionately about and of which I wish others were more conscious and aware. Subject matters that are so heinous that one does not actually desire or ... With these revolutions, factors and institutions it shaped the world from the start to how we see the world now. One revolution couldn t happen without the start of another down the road, and the fall of one empire would spark the start of another. These are only a few reasons of how the modern world was created. The most important ones that shaped the world we live in today are religion, money, and the Scientific Revolution. This poem explores the theme of Oppression which illustrates the nature of helicopter parenting upon today s youth. We will include a contemporary source which likewise explores this challenging youth issue. Essentially, this poem displays the damage that helicopter parenting can have on a child s youth, oppressing them, taking their childhood away from them. The combination of the two represents that there is a need for every child to reach their full potential. Something that cannot be achieved with helicopter parenting and the barriers placed upon them. This poem contains another literary device called juxtaposition. The free bird is juxtaposed with the caged bird, both are described but they are very different. Adults need to think about how they use their power over children. Helicopter parenting; is using power that causes children to be restricted and to shrivel up inside rather than flourish just like the caged and free bird in the poem. Angelou s free bird is a free child, someone who has the freedom to pursue their ambitions no matter how questionably they become. Near the end of the poem it is revealed that the bird opens his throat to sing Maya Angelou felt this way in her own life. She wrote, sang and danced because it was her way of expressing her longing for freedom despite being oppressed for most of her life. We must first understand the energy requirement of our data center. Based on the understanding we have to develop a plan to build or upgrade the data warehouse to make it energy efficient. Then we have to optimize and load balance the server rooms Afterwards, to increase performance we have to follow virtualization of the server. The final steps include the analysis of the developed system and report to the authorities. 1.2: At present the data centers are a great matter of concern and there is a global understanding about the future of the data centers. Overfishing began around the mid 20th century. At this time, there were many attempts to increase the pricings and variety of protein rich foods; this led to the government trying to increase the fish capacity.
