What Is An Editorial Essay
Crafting an essay on the topic "What Is an Editorial Essay" can be a challenging endeavor, as it
requires a nuanced understanding of editorial writing and the ability to convey that
understanding effectively. The difficulty lies not only in defining what an editorial essay is but
also in exploring its purpose, structure, and the elements that distinguish it from other types of
essays.
To begin with, one must delve into the realm of editorial writing, examining the characteristics
that define this genre. This involves grasping the concept of presenting a persuasive argument
while maintaining an authoritative and subjective tone. The essay should discuss the role of
editorials in expressing opinions on current issues, influencing public opinion, and prompting
critical thinking.
Moreover, the challenge lies in elucidating the structural components of an editorial essay.
Analyzing how an introduction sets the tone, the body paragraphs substantiate the argument, and
the conclusion reinforces the main points requires a keen understanding of composition. Crafting
a compelling thesis statement that encapsulates the core message and effectively organizing
supporting evidence further adds to the complexity.
Furthermore, one must address the need for a distinctive voice in an editorial essay. Balancing
objectivity with a subjective stance demands a refined skill set. The writer must navigate the fine
line between presenting facts and injecting personal opinions, ensuring a coherent and
convincing narrative.
In conclusion, the task of writing an essay on the intricacies of an editorial essay is undeniably
challenging. It necessitates a deep understanding of editorial writing, proficiency in essay
structure, and the ability to articulate complex ideas with clarity and conviction.
For those seeking assistance with essays, it's worth noting that there are resources available.

Comparing a Aboriginal and Australian Justice Systems
Interrelationship : Aboriginal Australian justice system :
The recognition of aboriginal customary laws under the Australian Criminal justice
system is just confined to acknowledgement of just the traditional physical
punishments at the stage of sentencing. It all depends upon the interpretation and

of judicial officers, officers of the court, lawyers and police officers etc. (Aboriginal

There is a central government and more than twenty five state governments. Under
the India Constitution there are three lists, federal list, state list and the concurrent
list. Things covered under the first two lists are the exclusive domain of the
concerned parties but under the third central government can overrule the state
governments on matters of national interest. Judiciary is independent with the power
of judicial review. Every state has a high court above subordinate courts presided by
the Supreme Court of India. Under the Constitution the functions of Legislature,
executive and judiciary have been clearl defined. (Shukla)
The doctrine of separation of power is not followed in England, it follows a
parliamentary form of government where the parliament is supreme. Instead of
crown that is the nominal head, the cabinet calls the shots on most of the matters.

Civil Criminal Law:
Under the Civil Law system, the laws are written and codified that the judges have to

Australia, India and the United Kingdom, the laws are codified, doctrine of
precedents is followed but the higher courts have the power to over rule old
judgements and existing law in cases where the law breaches the basic structure.

Most manufacturers do not become lazy when it comes to making candy versus
other competitors. Sweet Dream will buy most of their candy in bulk, therefore

Personal Statement For Women
Personal Statement
Stop studying math so hard, girl. How will math help you? My high school
classmate Yijie jeered at me when I told him I wanted to major in mathematics and
computer science. Such complex subjects are just not suitable for women. Although
Yijie was not an old fashioned person, he insisted that women were inferior in high
technology fields. In my country, China, this gender stereotype still affects women s
lives, from major placement decision to their career path choice. I strongly oppose
this constraining opinion, and firmly believe that women are capable to make great
achievements in modern high technology as men do. Therefore, I made up my mind
to show people that women can also succeed in mathematics and computer science. I
have been committed to mathematics and computing since I was young. My parents
are both accountants. They taught me a lot math and computer skills in my
childhood. Their love and passion towards math and computing had a huge impact
on me. As I went to school, math and computer science immediately attracted me. Its
logicality and challenge gave me a deep sense of satisfaction. I enjoyed challenging
fixed answers and finding new ways to solve problems. Compared to my peers, I
always understood math and computer problems faster and more accurately.
Furthermore, I fortunately had a great woman math teacher in my junior high school.
As she discovered my devotion and potential in math, she encouraged me to join

A Modest Proposal By Jonathan Swift Analysis
Imagine everyday stepping foot outside and witnessing children as well as their
mothers on every street corner begging for food and clothing. These items are
everyday necessities that people had to beg for because they could not afford to
take care of themselves and their children. For example, most children in today s
society could not imagine living without three meals everyday. Their parents
provide and nurture for them as well as give them clean clothes to change into
everyday. This goes to show children living in present day are far better off than
children living in the time period of swift s poem. In Swift s poem he talks about
his life and what it was like for him seeing all these mothers as well as children

advancing in the world of literature his entire life as well as rising up in the ranks
of the established clergy. In 1713, he was appointed dean of St. Patrick s Anglican
Cathedral in Dublin in which he saw firsthand the poverty and oppression of the
Irish. A Modest Proposalwas only one of the many writings that Swift had wrote
angry and protesting against the poor living state of the Ireland society. He wrote
about how mothers begging with children in their arms was a very common sight
everyday. The vast majority of the population was poor with very few people

background. Swift was upset because of the truth that infants were dying because of

Analysis Of The Story West Side Story
West Side Story: Who is responsible?
West Side Story is a story that was transitioned from a play to a movie. This play
was a readaptation of the playwright by William Shakespeare Romeo and Juliet. In
West Side Story story, there are two many characters they are Tony and Maria. Both
plays show the cause and effect of the unnecessary feud between two groups of
people, which in return are given death.
These two star crossed lovers come from completely opposite sides of a feud. This
feud separates the two lovers, making it impossible for them to be together in the
world they live in. The feud is between two groups, the Jets which are the Americans
with different heritages, then there are the Sharks who are Puerto Rican immigrants.
The Jets are very hostile towards the Sharks, the hostility was due to the Sharks
trying to take the playground from the Jets, which is the only place that they can call
home. The Jets also just don t want the Sharks around. As a result of the feud, things
went too far resulting in the permanent separation of Tony and Maria becuase Chino,
a Shark killed Tony.
The tragedy of Tony and Maria, with extensive investigation, should be blamed on
the Jets. The responsibility of the tragedy can be blamed on the Jets for a plethora of
reasons. One of these reasons is that in the beginning of the story, Tony did not want
any relation to the trouble that the Jets get into. At the time, Tony was thriving
because he had a job, wasn t involved in the trouble of
The Pyramids Of Giza Pyramids
When I think of Egypt and hieroglyphics the first thing that has always come
to mind has always been the Great pyramids of Giza. The pyramids of Giza in total
are three,
these are some of the most famous pyramids in the world and some of the most
famous
landmarks of Egypt. Growing up I would always think of one day traveling to egypt
and
climbing to the top. This is why I decided to do my research paper on this work of art
and great
monument of art history. With this paper I was able to research into detail about; The
Great
Pyramids of Giza, which include The Pyramid (Pyramid of Khufu), The Pyramid of
Chephren(Khafre) and The Pyramid of Menkaure.
The first and the largest of the pyramids of giza is known as The Great Pyramid of
Giza
(pyramid of Cheops) made by and for Khufu, The second Egyptian Pharaoh of the
fourth
dynasty. The estimated time it took to build the pyramid was 20 years, in which 2.3
million
limestone blocks were used. It is also know to be the biggest pyramid in egypt. The
main
purpose of this pyramid is known to serve as the pharaoh s tomb, also known as
house of
eternity as described in class. The Great Pyramid is estimated to be 481 feet tall
and each of its sides measured at each base 755 feet an 8 inches. This pyramid was
built so
accurately that the largest error found is no larger than an inch. If weighed this
pyramid is
estimated to weigh six million tons. The great Pyramid has a stone foundation that

Inflammatory Bowel Disorder Essay
Overall Scientific premise: Inflammatory bowel disorder (IBD) affects an
estimated 1 1.3 million people in the US alone, according to the Centers for Disease
Control and Prevention (CDC). Although immune intolerance in the gut is
considered one of the factors driving disease progression, the origins of IBD remain
unknown. Enteric infections play a major role and could potentially be an
underlying cause of IBD (PMID:15256979). Staphylococcus aureus, an ESKAPE
pathogen, one of the major causes of foodborne enteric infections. Nevertheless,
there is a considerable knowledge gap as to how S. aureus can cause dysregulation
and inflammation at enteric mucosal surfaces that could lead to IBD. Previous
studies along these lines led to the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
To address this issue, we will be using NARSA (Nebraska Transposon Mutant
library) library consisting of single transposon insertion mutants covering almost 90%
of S. aureus USA 300 genome. We will use a translational reporter line of C. elegans,
in which HLH 30 has a GFP tag to monitor nuclear accumulation. Identification of the
S. aureus genes involved in HLH 30 activation will allow us to pinpoint the PAMP
/DAMP which is recognized by the host. Achieving this aim will allow us to
manipulate this conserved innate signaling pathway and further our fundamental
understanding of how the host detects pathogen.
Scientific Premise for Specific Aim 2 Identification of the acetylcholine receptors
in immune cells and intestinal epithelial cells involved in the activation of TFEB. A
recent screen in C. elegans to determine the receptor involved in the detection of a
pathogenic signal activating HLH 30 led to the identification of two G protein
linked acetylcholine receptors (GARs) GAR 2 and GAR 3. GAR 2 and GAR 3 are
homologous to muscarinic acetylcholine receptors (mAChRs). RNA i experiments in
C. elegans showed that GAR 2 and GAR 3 expressed in the intestine are critical in
activating HLH 30. From this observation, we hypothesized that TFEB activation in
mammals could also involve acetylcholine receptors AChRs. Acetylcholine
suppresses the immune system by limiting the production of pro inflammatory
cytokines according to previous studies.

Impact Of Environmental Communication On Public
Sphere On...
Title: Impact of Environmental Communication in Public Sphere on Urban Youth in
Gujarat 1 Introduction Environment has attained centrality in the national and
international arena in the past few decades. The primary reason for this has been
environmental degradation as a consequence of varied socio economic, institutional
and technological factors. The need for sensitisation is imperative and which can be
substantially achieved through legislation and communication. Communication
designs of environmental issues influence public awareness, opinion, and action.
Environmental awareness or the subsequent lack thereof, have been on a rise for a
while now with rise in population, changing political ideologies, increased private
investments and overall privatisation and a dominant enshrining of the pro
development philosophy of the West. With such tendencies, as humans grow in
number, so does the dependency on nature and the lookout for space, an insatiable
cycle of production and consumption commences and with this, the Earth our primary
producer is reduced to commodity status. In a world dominated by human beings,
where often the rights of the natural world and of animals dependent on it, are
trampled upon, communication can play an important role in providing a channel for
expression, discussion and action. Industrialisation continues to displace indigenous
people on a large scale level resulting in various grassroots movements, all in the
name of development. People
Bullying Is The Main Cause Of Suicide
Many may argue that bullying is not directly correlated with the amount of increase
in suicide. They say that depression is the main cause that an individual will commit
suicide. Statistics claim that, Over 50 percent of all people who die by suicide
suffer from major depression (The Over Night). Depression is a contributor to suicide
, but teens can experience depression from bullying. Bullying does in fact cause
depression, Researchers have also discovered a strong link between bullying and
depression... depression is closely related with bullying (No Bully). In this article, it
suggests that bullying greatly impacts the victim to have depression. Depression can
cause the victim to have a low self esteem, anxiety, or miss school because
Medical Technology, Doctors, And Patients
Audience:People in the medical technology industry, doctors, and patients in need of
prosthetics, augmentations, or implants.
Rhetorical Situation: A doctor prescribes an MRI non compatible implant like a
pacemaker because it is cheaper for the patient in the moment. However, in the long
run this will cost more to keep maintained, and is obviously harder to monitor. It also
creates an issue for any other medical problems that might arise which need MRI
scanning. A doctor could, in this case, advocate for a more advanced implant rather
than the cheapest option for the patient or the first option. Doctors should be
advocating for higher technology, and not immediate cost effectiveness. Sometimes
the harder decisions are the better ones in the long run. For instance, a woman who
had only half of her foot amputated due to injury opted to amputate more of her leg
due to years of discomfort with her old prosthetic. Her life experience improved
drastically with the advanced prosthetic.

a couple types of these machines that are advancing, and moving towards a nearly
humanistic style, in function and appearance. A number of outcomes were identified
in relation to lower limb prosthetic prescription. Many of these were related to
physical outcomes, such as balance and safety and not

The freedom of peaceful association is a right that is possessed by everyone.
However despite the significance of this right, and as is the case with other human
rights, it is absent from the Constitution of Australia. In the present paper, an attempt

association in its social, logical, political and cultural contexts. As mentioned above,
there is no explicit right to freedom of association that has been provided by the
Constitution of Australia. However during the last decade, a view has been expressed
by the High Court of Australia that the Australian Constitution contains an implied

In this regard, Article 20, UDHR states that every person has the right to assemble

recognizes the freedom of association as a definitive statement in international law

his interests. It also provides that no restriction may be placed on this right other
than the restrictions that have been prescribed by the law and the restrictions that
are necessary for protecting public health or morals or for protecting the rights and

Abstract
Thousands of people around the world suffer from injuries everyday which
requires removal or reinforcements of the damaged tissues through surgical
procedures. Tissue engineering, especially scaffolds have a major role to play in
such situations. Scaffolds, a porous cross linked structure aims at the regeneration
of the damaged tissue by supporting the cells mechanically while not altering the
normal functioning of the cell and the individual as whole. Scaffolds are generally
made of synthetic biocompatible polymers. But such scaffolds are generally
expensive and may take longer time to decompose inside our body. So we looked
for autologous biomaterials which have the desirable properties and can be used in
place of the polymers. The autologous biomaterials will also be cheaper and
decompose faster compared to the polymers. In this report, I have mentioned three
such autologous biomaterials; albumin, collagen and B.mori silk fibroins, which are
easily available and possesses the desired properties to manufacture scaffolds from
them. I manufactured scaffolds by the process of electrospinning and tested the
porosity and swelling of the scaffolds.
Introduction
Tissue engineering is a field where scientists try to repair or regenerate damaged
tissues or cells with the help of artificial materials. In layman s term, tissue
engineering can be defined as an interdisciplinary field

The Great Lakes are surrounded by the northern United states, and southern Canada.
Both countries own the Great Lakes except for Michigan which is only owned by

the Atlantic Ocean with the St. Lawrence River.
During the 1970s the Great Lakes were polluted by many things. For example, oils,

Joan Of Arc Essay Outline
Joan of Arc was born in the city of Domremy, France in 1412, in the middle of the
Hundred Years War. She claimed that Saints, such as Saint Catherine and Saint
Margaret, started speaking to her at the age of 10 and guided her through her
journey. They told her to go to Chinon and to crown the Dauphin, Charles. She
secretly snuck in a carige which knights carried with sheep and cattle to hopefully
get to Chinon, but the carige lead to Sir Robert s city. Even though Joan asked many
times, Robert would not send her to Chinon, so she had to prove to him that she was
the Maid of Lorraine. The chickens stopped laying eggs, Joan gained the respect of
the people, and built defenses for the town to protect them from Burgundy and
England. After Sir... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When Joan was lead in, she noticed that the peasant disguised as the Dauphin was
really not the Dauphin, and Saints pointed her the real Dauphin. Joan convinced
Charles to be crowned king, and also convinced him to send her to lead an army to
capture Orleans. I fought in that army with her. Charles agreed and Joan s army
defeated Orleans by setting the city inside on fire, forcing them to lower the
drawbridge. Then Joan baited William Gladsdale out of the castle and archers
hiding behind her shot and killed him. After this victory, she met her brother,
Pierre, in Chinon and Pierre declared he wanted to become a knight. Joan didn t
want him to become a knight, but Pierre already made up his mind. In the Battle of
Paris, Paris slaughtered most of us because the walls of Paris were extremely high
and Paris had the upper advantage. In this battle Joan s brother was shot and killed,
along with one of the knights who had guided Joan to Chinon. After this loss, Joan
went back to Domremy to ask for forgiveness from her father, and her father gave her

My Personal Statement On My Interview Essay
The person I used to conduct my interview was my step mom, Chris Howell. We
are very close to one another, and she has been with my dad since I was 4. I would
consider her my mom not my step mom. Since she lives 4 hours away, I was
unable to meet with her in person for the interview so a phone call was necessary.
She s a very outgoing person, who is great at making conversation and telling
stories. Even though it would have been more ideal to meet in person to conduct
the interview, the phone call still felt natural and helpful. A few times over the
course of the interview it was hard to hear what she had said. I did not want to
interrupt her, so I missed a few details. Overall, it went very well, and it lasted the
perfect amount of time. Since I am her daughter and already know key
characteristics about her life, she felt comfortable sharing with me. Even when
talking about her ex husband, she did not hold back. To begin, Christine Howell
was born January 12th 1958 in Williamsport, PA. The Susquehanna River flows
through Williamsport, and Williamsport is a very manufacturing and industry
based place. It was the lumbering capital of world in the 1800s. As a result, there
are a lot of beautiful homes of all styles. She grew up in a beautiful 6 bedroom
Victorian home that had 10 feet ceilings, a huge staircase, and pocket doors. She is
the 2nd oldest with 4 sisters and 1 brother. She described her home life as wonderful
and traditional. Her dad was the breadwinner of the
Lizzie Borden Took An Axe
Lizzie Borden took an axe... Or did she?
Hello, this is my opinion on Lizzie, although the poem says she took an axe, what
was John doing, the maid, and sister? The maid was the only person in the house
besides Lizzie and Abbi. Did they set up the murders? John was out of town,
suspiciously, and the sister was out with a friend. The father was running errands.
Lizzie had an attorney and claimed Lizzie was sleeping during the murders. And if
these people did associate with Lizzie, why, they as much to gain as anyone? Did
Andrew choose ,favorites? Was Abbi a bad mother? We may never know.
My last thing to say about Lizzie, is why did she kill her parents? Lizzie had
nothing to gain by killed her parents, so why? If killing her parents did nothing she
must have had a different plan. Maybe Lizzie wanted mental comfort, or revenge on
something that may have happened when she was a child. The house was 300,000
dollars in total estate, which 8 million dollars in modern society. Due to this Lizzie
may have wanted to sell the house, but she remained living in the Borden family

Lizzie Borden is said to have taken the axe, what if someone else gave her mother
forty whacks? Bridget the maid was right outside of the bedroom window during
the murders, it was a hot summer day so I suspect the windows were open. Bridget
could have reached in through the windows and killed Abbi, but, where did the axe
come from? The murder weapon could have been a meat tenderizer, I say this
because the only other weapon in the house they could ve had that would equal to the

World War II films depict veterans as brave and honorable individuals and many
times create love stories for the war heroes, for example Fred and Peggy and
Homer and Wilma. But the basic story of World War II was victory over the forces
of evil. Vietnam on the other hand, was about intense suffering for reasons that were
unclear. Realism was in a sense the only response because there was no fantasy to
turn the story into. Even though, The Best Years of Our Lives also touches on the
subject of readjusting to life after the war and making sense of life again in the
United States, films about the Vietnam War and its veterans focused on the internal
suffering and guilt many veterans came home with because of what the war in
Vietnam had done to them. Instead of focusing on American heroism and the
devastating effects on Vietnam, US film focused on veterans personal dilemmas and

Symbolism Of Danger In The Skeleton Key
Symbolisms of Danger After watching The Skeleton Key, director Iain Softley,
portrays a young 25 year old female, Caroline Ellis attends nursing school that takes
a job as a caregiver for a stroke victim; living in a secluded, decrypted mansion,
surrounded by a bayou in Terrebonne Parrish known as: New Orleans.
Consequently, while rummaging through the attic of the house, she comes across

after talking with Violet Devereaux, the owner, Caroline still doesn t believe,

she still hold true to her own beliefs? Iain Softley did an amazing job with all the
specific objects, effects, sounds, and other details used to help intensify the mood

Jackson, delineates a small village of 300 people on a clear, fresh summer day

Chaarismatic Writing Style Of The New Boy Network By...
Analysis of The New Boy Network The New Boy Network is an example of author
Malcolm Gladwell s charismatic writing style which makes seemingly drab subjects
vividly interesting to a wide variety of readers. In this essay, he explores the
complex nature of job interviews and how first impressions impact relationships.
Gladwell argues that first impressions make an immediate impact on people, even if
they do not represent the entire person to inform his audience to avoid relying solely
on first impressions. He convinces the reader of this using personal anecdotes which
relate the subject to readers and structures the writing, expert opinions which lend
credibility to his argument, and utilizing an informal tone which engages the reader.
Gladwell weaves an anecdoteabout a Harvard computer science student named
Nolan Myers throughout the essay which help the reader relate to diverse topics
and creates structure throughout the essay. Gladwell describes Myers as being
handsome, charismatic, and easy going, however he cannot explain exactly why
he is so gripped with him (5). This description of both his physical appearance and
his personality relates the reader to Gladwell, and in turn, shapes the reader s
impression of Myers. The reader s first impression of Myers is critical to Gladwell
s argument because it makes the reader reflect on the fact that although he or she
has never met Nolan Myers, the reader already likes him. This vividly illustrates
the point that first impressions are impactful in relationships. These details also
allow Gladwell to transition into discussing other people s opinions of Myers. This
creates a smooth, easy to follow transition for the reader while hooking him or her
with a personal story as opposed to a more academic tone. Another way that
Gladwell utilizes the anecdote about Nolan Myers is to show how a first impression
then impacts the meaning of everything else that that person says. One example of
this is during Gladwell s interviewwith Myers. He says that he is not afraid of failure
because he is confident that with time, he can learn many things. Gladwell then
reflects that because he like Myers, the answer was confident. However, had he not
liked Myers already, the
Essay on Navajo-Hopi Lande Dispute
Navajo Hopi Lande Dispute
When first considering the Navajo Hopi land dispute as a topic of research, I
anticipated a relatively light research paper discussing the local skirmishes
between the two tribes. However, my research has yielded innumerable volumes of
facts, figures and varying viewpoints on a struggle that has dominated the two
tribes for over 100 years. The story is an ever changing one, evolving from local
conflict to forcible relocation to big business interests. The incredible breadth of the
dispute s history makes it impossible to objectively cover the entire progression from
all viewpoints. I will therefore focus on current issues and their historical causes
facing the two tribes as they mutually approach ... Show more content on

The land was officially partitioned in 1974 by mandate of P.L. 93 531 also known as
the Navajo Hopi Land Settlement Act of 1974 without the input or consent of those
from both tribes actually occupying the land in question. The partition equally
divided the JUA into the Navajo Partitioned Lands (NPL) and the Hopi Partitioned
Lands (HPL). About 12,000 Navajo were stranded on newly declared Hopi land and,
likewise, about 300 Hopi families found themselves on Navajo land. Many hold the
belief that government sponsored and styled tribal council and influential energy
interests contrived the JUA dispute to promote congressional action. The US has
subsequently spent over $400 million to relocate the families to tract housing in
nearby cities.
The disproportionate amount of Navajo forced to relocate heightened age old
anxieties between the Navajo and Hopi. The Navajo are still at the center of the
relocation controversy as many traditional Dineh families have chosen to remain
within the HPL in defiance of 1974 s P.L. 93 531. The Navajo traditionalists view
their land as representing the essence of their being, says Jennie Joe of the Native

Role Of Ghost In Hamlet
Question 12
Shakespeare s introduction of a ghost in Hamlet serves various objectives in the
play, to the characters as well as the audience. The ghost is a controversial character
who challenges the audience s view of the plot, the motifs, as well as the flow of
events in the story. The appearance of the ghost is associated with tragedy, usually
where the humans entangle with the supernatural forces, but in this case, the ghost
seems to conform to human capabilities and relies on other human beings to meet its
objectives. The presentation of the ghost in the play, from its motives to its
appearance highlight the human traits over the supernatural capabilities. The
characteristics of the ghost suggest that it might be a construct of Hamlet, and his
friends, in trying to make sense of the events leading to the death of his father, as
well as a coping mechanism. The narrative gives Hamlet, a son who loved his
father, justification as well as the reason to execute revenge against his uncle who
took the father s life despite the deviation that exists in his character. Hamlet is
considered as the calm and collected character, and engaging in violence is not part
of his personality, and as such the conviction that Hamlet is mad.
The ghost is Hamlet is presented as a vengeful character, Hamlet s father, the fallen
king, murdered by his brother. These attributes of his character draw from the theme
of revenge associated with the works of Shakespeare, and the audience is allowed the

It has been a decade since Kolkata s Saint of Gutters , Mother Teresawent home to
God. But Missionaries of Charity, the order established by Mother in 1950, still
continues to feel her divine presence around. The moment one enters the premises
of Mother s House on AJC Bose Road in central Kolkata, one is overwhelmed by a
feeling of warmth, peace and serenity like one has never experienced before. Two
days before her tenth death anniversary, the spirit of Mother Teresa rests in peace
in a white marble tomb, built in the middle of Mother s House, and is surrounded
by devotees, who sit with their heads bowed, paying a silent tribute to the lady who

Disadvantages Of Deficit Spending
Deficit spending is when there is an excess of government expenditures over the
government revenue, creating a shortfall that must be financed through borrowing
(Deficit Spending, 2014). To put this in other terms deficit spending is when the
government needs to borrow money in order to pay for different government
programs and other items of value. In the past deficit spending has been used
when a country was facing a war or they needed to finance a building project.
Deficit spending is also used to help pull a country out of a recession. The actions
taken by the government during the late 1930s and early 1940s are a prime example
of deficit spending. The United States were in the middle of the great depressionand
consumer spending had fallen drastically due to the number of people that found
themselves unemployed and without money. In order to combat this drastic decrease
in spending the government took on a number of projects that were meant to
increase the overall spending. In order to spend more the government would have to
borrow money. Once the country was out of the depression, and consumer spending
began to grow, the idea was that the government would be able to pay back the
money that they had borrowed. In order to determine if deficit spending is worth the
cost a country needs to look at the advantages and disadvantages.
One of the major advantages of deficit spending is the amount of revenue and jobs
that are created in a time when the overall consumer
Credit Card Debt Pros And Cons
For many consumers in the world today the ability to pay back their unsecured
credit is becoming difficult. Credit card debt is the largest unsecured loan that
people hold at this time and trying to get these debts paid off is difficult. When
interest rates rise on the balances very often the consumer is placed in a position that
they can never get out from under the mounting stress of owning bills. It is at this
time that many try to weigh their options to find a different way to resolve their
revolving credit issues. One of those options is the consolidation loan.
As with any type of financial decision, a debt consolidation loan has its problems and
its benefits. Understanding both is important prior to entering into any specific
agreement
How Alzheimer Is A Disease That Affects Your Cognitive

When Alzheimer s knocks at your front door
Alzheimer s is a disease that affects your cognitive and behavior abilities. Millions
of people are diagnose worldwide. It is very common to know someone that has a
love one or friend diagnosed with this disease. However, everything changes when
you happen to know that someone very close to you will be diagnosed with
Alzheimer s, my grandmother.
My memorable journey onto the Alzheimer s world begins in my late twenties. I
used to work as an activity director in a retirement home for senior citizens. I just
knew for protocol that more than a quarter of the total population of the residents was
diagnosed with Alzheimer s as a secondary diagnose.
Every day was a joyful and fun experience for me; the interaction with the residents
was so deep that became a personal on an ethical way. We ve always begin our day
with our daily chair fitness exercises. Every time I did something with them, I have
always put a big, wide and wierd smile on me. Some of the residents would really
appreciated that noble gesture, however, some of them would just tell me what the
hell are you always smiling about , I laughed so hard every time I heard them say
foul language, I knew they did not meant saying that ( I hope so).
I did not quite grasp why they acted like that, or why they were cranky and sad all
the time, until the charge nurse educate me and told me that they act like not because
they want or they mean it, it is because they have Alzheimer s prior
Genesis 10 Verses 1-21
John chapter 10 verses 1 21 talks about a parable that Jesus is telling the Pharisees
who are there to listen. Jesus uses a couple different words, that actually mean
something different than what their real definitions mean, such as sheep and thief.
This chapter also uses many different issues to teach the Pharisees. There is only one
way to enter the sheep pen that Jesustalks about, but people who are not fit to enter
have tried to get in, but if you do not enter the way Jesus wants you too then you
will not be saved. What animal comes to mind when you think of a white fluffy
animal with four legs? One of the words I studied in John chapter 10:1 21 is sheep.
This animal is the most mentioned animal throughout the whole bible, being used
by over 500 times. The prominence of sheep in the Bible grows out of two realities.
In biblical times sheep were very important to the nomads and for the lives of
Hebrews and other people alike. The second reality is that the word sheep was used
to symbolize God s people.
Throughout the bible Jesus has taught using parables many times, John chapter 10
verses 1 through 21 are another ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This verse does not really tell us anything special, it just is saying that Laban is
gathering sheep for Jacob, but the one thing it does tell us is that the word sheep is
not always used in a special way, sometimes the word means what it actually is. In
John 10: 1 6 Jesus is talking to the Pharisees about how you should not enter the
sheep pen unless given permission and that the sheep follow him because they
know his voice, but they will never follow a stranger s voice. This verse in John uses
the word sheep to symbolize God s people, or us. What Jesus is really trying to tell
the Pharisees is that the followers of God are going to follow his voice and believe
what he says instead of believing other outside

Healthy Choice
Straw bales are a healthy choice. They do not contain the paints, chemicals, glues and
toxins Combined with clay and lime renders and natural paints or oxides to finish the
structure, straw bale walls can breathe and provide a natural, fresh and healthy living
environment. The thick walls seal out noise.
Cost Advantage
Straw bale is a low cost material. At best, the bale walls can reduce your overall
budget by 5 to 10 %. But you ll be getting more than twice the insulation value and
great aesthetic potential, and savings in energy costs will stay with you for the life of
the buildings. Heating costs can be reduced by up to 75% annually compared with
modern style housing.
Structural Capabilities
Research has shown that structural load bearing straw bale walls can withstand
loads of more than 48,826 kg/m2. In the load bearing straw bale method, walls of up
to 3 stories have been constructed, with infill walls, in post and beam type structures;

No Coward Soul Is Mine Poem Meaning
Emily Bronte s poem No coward soul is mine conveys the reader essentially to
believe in some type of God or Savior. She expresses the power of having faith in a
religion, reassuring that the concept of a God will always be present in our final
hours. In the very last stanza, the author states There is no room for Death. Ultimately,
the mortal life should never weigh on the conscious of any human being, or ever
think of the idea. The author gives the impression of not to being afraid of dying. In
contrast, the very first stanza lines 3 4 discuss the afterlife, I see Heaven s glories

Throughout the poem he refers to the ocean and water frequently. From previous
research, I learned he had died of alcoholism. Perhaps the ocean is an analogy for
his drinking problem depicting himself drowning in his problems. The word
choice throughout the poem is very vivid, giving myself the ability to paint a
graphic picture while reading. For example, I see a corpse upon the waters lie
/ With eyes turned, swelled and sightless, to the sky. These very first lines give me
the imagery of a scene from a movie like Pirates of the Caribbean. The author made
it very easy to relate to and make a connection with the statement of being lonely in
life. As for the world view, it is evidently stated in line 8. Branwell discuss how the
sea is calmer than the world s turmoil. Now that means there is some serious issues
going on throughout the world because typically oceans are never calm. This poem
is much more negative and sounds like it is written to express regret in some
manner. It seems like the author struggled mentally and is unable to get out of his
own way. The second stanza talks about having an outward frame of a life with great
potential, while he is trapped in his inner frame of regrets and
Drug Use And Its Effects On Society
Despite the issues regarding the scientific studies, evidence has drawn positive
links suggesting people who use drugs are more likely to engage in criminal activity
than non users if simply because they are breaking the law to obtain the substance of
use. Research does support this contention as people who are arrested for various
crimes test positive to be under the influence of a drug at the time they committed
their offense. However, the evidence remains elusive as to whether the drug use led
to the crimeor the crime was separate from the drug use and related needs (i.e., money
to buy drugs, territorial wars, etc.). Because of inconsistent data and definitions in
reporting, statistical evidence is not empirical enough to draw hard conclusions
regarding the relationship between drugs, including alcohol, and crime, or to quantify
how much of that crime begins with the innocent seeming lighting up of a marijuana
cigarette. In addition, when more than one drug is present, it is difficult to assess
which of the two or more might have induced or inspired the criminal behavior, if
any. The association between alcohol and violence illustrated through various studies
makes it clear that correlations between drug use and crime are greater complicated
through the presence of other dynamics such as socio demographic and personality
characteristics.
Given these cautions regarding the research and studies then, it is interesting to note
that studies limited to marijuana only do not
Comparison Of C. S. Lewis The Lion, And The Wardrobe
C.S. Lewis was a rather prolific writer and when he was taking breaks from his

The Five Types of Organizational Structure
Manager s of an organization has to use structure to help the company run efficiently.
The five types of organizational structures are functional, divisional, matrix, team
based, and virtual network (Draft, 2013, p.316). Functional structure in an
organization that is developed by grouping departments by the skills, level of
knowledge, activities done daily, and the resource used. This structure places specific
departments from the bottom to the top (Draft, 2013, p.318). For example, specific
departments such as: human resources, accounting, engineering, and manufacturing
are placed at the top, while there are mostly seen at the bottom in other organizations.
While common functions such as; people, facilities, and other resources are
combined together as a single department instead of being divided into multiple
departments. Divisional structure is known by the approach of having similar skills
and resources grouped together into divisions (Draft, 2013, p.318). This occurs when
a company has common goals that the company wants to achieve. This allows all
skills and departments to come together and produce the goal there are looking to
achieve. In this type of structure not one person is viewed as important than the next
one, because it takes everyone to work together to produce the outcome the company
wants to achieve. The matrix structure uses both functional and divisional structures
to run an organization (Draft, 2013, p.321). This allows the company to

The Culture And Culture Of Puerto Rican Culture
Puerto Rican culture is very unique and diverse and is mainly influenced by its past.
It is a melting pot of Taino Indian, Spanish, African, and American cultures, which is
what makes Puerto Rico unique. Puerto Rican music, clothing, food, traditions,
holidays, languages, and religions are all influenced from the diversity of the
population. The official languages are Spanish and English because of the long
period of time when Spain ruled and then later, when it became U.S. territory. The
majority of the population of Puerto Ricois also Roman Catholic or Protestant again,
because it was ruled by the Spanish Crown for over an extended period of time.
Puerto Rican food has many different ingredients derived from the different ethnic
groups. They use many fresh ingredients for bold flavors, but their food generally
isn t spicy compared to other cultures. Puerto Ricans typically eat a light breakfast,
but their lunch and dinner is heavy. For them, dinner is the most important meal of
the day. Puerto Ricans typically drink coffee and eat mallorca which is a type of
sweet bread. They normally start off dinner with an appetizer like soup or stew

can relate to being bored in a lecture hall. Old professors teaching boring material that
does not relate to what you want to be doing with your time. In Walt Whitman s

that. The character leaves a lecture and is one within nature. The character uses past

Positive And Negative Effects Of Hiroshima
The Hiroshima bombings was a crucial point in history that ended World War 2.
Different perspectives are important into gaining an understanding of the event during
that era. The two sources analysed, one being an interview with Paul Tibbets, a pilot
who dropped the atomic bomb on Hiroshima, and second Yoshikata Kawamoto, a boy

Ultimately the effects of the Hiroshima bombing in 1945 were negative. Both

After World War 2 had ended, the world saw the emergence of two super powers,
the United States of America and the Soviet Union. In 1945, the United States
possesed and used atomic bombs during the world war. The use of the bomb could
be viewed as a precursor to be used as a way of threating Russia, for the benefit of
the United States being percieved as the superior super power. As tensions rose
between the United States and the Soviet Union, the United States aim was
percived to emerge as the world greatest super power, to prevent the spread of
communism by the Soviets. I think looking at the bombing of Hiroshima in a
American perspective, the dropping of the bomb was not only to end World War 2,
however was further created as an attempt to prevent the threat of communism by
the Soviet Union. However, if the bombing was viewed in a Japanese perspective it
could be seen as only damaging the city of Hiroshima. As demonstratedd by Tibbets,
he stated the dropping of the bomb has brought peace to the world at the time. In
contrast if viewed in Kawamotos perspective, he experienced first hand the deaths of
the people in Hiroshima which can be seen a deterring peace rather than creating

CHAPTER 1: INTRODUCTION
1.1Overview
The modelling and aero elastic analysis of a laminated hybrid composite plate with
SMAs as an actuator is performed within MSc Nastran Finite Element Software. The
term aeroelasticity is the interaction of inertial, aerodynamic and elastic forces. The
interaction of at least two of these forces produces various aeroelastic phenomena
such as divergence, flutter, and control reversal, buffeting and dynamic stability.
However, for this paper is only concentrate on the flutter analysis and to investigate
the potential of SMAs for aeroelasticity improvement.

that there are three new categories of hybridization of materials, that is, hybrid
materials. The categorizations of hybrid materials are structurally hybridized
materials, materials hybridized in chemical bond, and functionally hybridized
materials. The composite wings require more advanced treatment that must be based
on a new methodology which handles the modelling complexity arising mainly from
the fibrous nature of anisotropic composites. The most popular hybrid composite is
carbon Kevlar hybrid composite and this is because hybridization of carbon fibre
reinforced composites with Kevlar fibre results in a significant positive hybrid

There is Edward walking towards me I can hear him say it s not you . Does he not
want me to be his fourth person,as he come closer I see a tear come down his face. I
put my basket down and I smile at him. He comes towards me and put his arms
around me and cries on my shoulder and I finally remember what our loved felt like.
Our love was deep but quiet, it was a grateful love and it was irreplaceable. And I will
never take it for granted he is exactly how I remember handsome. He looks at me like
he has never seen me before. Did he forget what i look like, am i wearing off on his

I also know that he loved me very dearly. But what I didn t know is how eddie died.
i look at him and he thought for a moment about how he died.
Marguerite
As he was telling me how he died he seemed to have trouble talking to me. I
thought to myself what if he didn t trust me enough or thought I couldn t handle it
.While he started talking to me for a while he started to feel comfortable with me
when he stop talking I urged him to keep talking because it reminded me of back
then when he used to come home to talk about his day in ruby pier.He told me he
never talk this so much since he got here which made me smiled because i ve felt
needed to him.
Marguerite
He looks in my eyes he tells me how he missed me so much and he could never
love anyone else since i died. I always wonder how he was without me. I died so
young but I think he found peace deep inside and his hearty was at rest. At the end
of our journey he made me change to myself before I died and I thought he liked
me younger but he loved me how I was with him I when I was about to pass. The
last thing he said to me is that he didn t want me to leave. While I left I knew he

System Description and Justification Our customer has requested a custom built
home PC to replace an older, outdated system. The customer has identified specific
requirements that the PC must meet. These requirements are listed in Table 1.
Component selection to meet the requirements listed in Table 1 is detailed below. All
components are new, not refurbished. The individual components with price

Avoid small form factor PC cases. HTPC and Mini Tower cases are the smallest
available, starting at approximately 11 inches in height, and most susceptible to
damage. Super Tower cases are very large at two feet or taller. They are also the
most expensive option, costing $200.00 and up. Full Towers are 20 inches or
taller. However, the least expensive Full Tower is still four times as expensive as
the starting Mid Towers. Mid Towers are 16 inches or taller in height, and are the
best value for a custom built system. The case needed to be compatible with a full
size ATX motherboard, since ATX had the widest compatibility with the different
components that were going to be required for this build. The case also had to
have two (2) external USB 2.0 ports, a minimum of; one (1) external 5.25 drive bay
to install an optical drive, one (1) external 3.5 drive bay to install an internal card
reader, and three (3) internal hard disk drive bays. The Gigabyte GZ ZA2 Black ATX
Mid Tower Computer Case was one of the most cost effective choices that met or
exceeded all of the requirements. Item 2. Minimize the effects of Carpal Tunnel
Syndrome. According to Cornell University, there is not definitive proof that
ergonomic devices actually provide a health benefit or prevent Carpal Tunnel
Syndrome (Hedge, 2015). User education and proper positioning will provide for the
best ergonomic arrangement of the user s computer workstation and mouse (Hedge,
2011).
China Under The Rule Of The Shang Dynasty
China has not always had a centralized system of power. From 1766 BC to 1045 BC
China was under the rule of the Shang Dynasty. From there on the ruling of China
was in the hands of many dynasties. Dynasties were overthrown and a change in
power happened constantly. China was under the rule of the Ch inf, MIng, Yuan,
Sung, T ang,Han, and many other dynasties. The earliest cities in Chinaformed
around 2000 BC to 1000 BC. Chinese cities contained temples and palaces and
many were walled. The purpose of having a walled city was for protection from
invaders. The most famous and commonly known wall is the great wall of China.
The great wall of China is a 5, 500 mile long wall that was constructed by joining
walls from different cities in the Chinese
Rejected Lrt Routes By Bay Street
REJECTED LRT ROUTES
Another line we considered using but ultimately rejected was Bay street as there are
too many residential areas along that road. For instance, from Aberdeen avenue to
Jackson street we noted that there is an array of Condos and homes. Furthermore, it
is a one way road with only two lanes, meaning that there isn t enough room for a
LRT, construction would have to include first widening the road then putting in the
LRT, access to the road would be virtually cut off during the time of construction.
What s More, there is no mountain access from bay street, meaning the LRT would
have to make its way over to James or to Queen to use their mountain access. This
would cause major, unnecessary construction and the LRT... Show more content on

Eventually the train station will occupy the Lakeshore West GO Train meaning
that the LRT will have access to go stations and buses. This stop has the
capabilities to make room for a LRT station as it is an area that houses newly built
train station. Thus, putting in a LRT station there would only add to the
infrastructure invested in that area The area has already been made a station so
adding a LRT stop will only add to the transportation hub put in place. From our
visit to the area from our field work, the area is not that busy so constuction won t
affect that many people s commute or the profit of smaller businesses. The
residential area is right across where many lower middle income families live that an
LRT would help tremendously for purposes of traveling to work or other personal
matters.
James and York BLVD: With a LRT stop, the James streetat York Boulevard could
revitalised, as, despite its surroundings being revamped it still appears to need
some work. Also it is the closest stop to the shopping district of James street that,
in recent years has been revitalised. It is also close to the Hamilton Farmers market
which we noticed from our field work had a lot of people walking to and from,
meaning that those small businesses will be able to advertise their products to more
people. Use vacated building fronts to create a indoor LRT station as opposed to a
ticket booth on the sidewalk. We would make any

The Importance Of Urbanization
Since China is a developing country with a large population, the scale of urbanization
is expanding, and urban structure becomes increasingly complex and the speed of
urbanization is accelerating (Huang Duan, 2004) since China s reform and opening
up. Rapid urbanization is the main driving force of urban land growth (Li et al, 2015).
Moreover, now and in the next few decades, the spatial expansion of construction land
is becoming the main feature of land use changing (Yi, 2015). The study of the spatial
temporal characteristics of construction land expansion will further deepen
understanding the nature of the urbanization(Lin, 2007).
A growing body of literature has documented various methods to study the rapid
expansion of urban (Wei, 2017). Remote sensing data and GIS spatial analysis were
used to study the spatial expansion and external morphological evolution of urban
or urban agglomerations (Shang et al, 2013; Li et al, 2015; Yi et al, 2015). Urban
expansion and surface temperature information on Landsat satellite images were to
study urban expansion and thermal environment changes (Li Xu, 2014). In addition,
the landscape metrics also could be used to study urbanization and analyze the
spatial temporal pattern of urban sprawl (Lv et al, 2012; C.Seto Fragkias, 2005;
Zeng et al, 2012). Recently, urban growth models were widely used to simulation the
future development of the city, such as the SLEUTH model, and the spatial
regression model (E.A.Silva

What Is An Editorial Essay. Format editorial essay

  • 1. What Is An Editorial Essay Crafting an essay on the topic "What Is an Editorial Essay" can be a challenging endeavor, as it requires a nuanced understanding of editorial writing and the ability to convey that understanding effectively. The difficulty lies not only in defining what an editorial essay is but also in exploring its purpose, structure, and the elements that distinguish it from other types of essays. To begin with, one must delve into the realm of editorial writing, examining the characteristics that define this genre. This involves grasping the concept of presenting a persuasive argument while maintaining an authoritative and subjective tone. The essay should discuss the role of editorials in expressing opinions on current issues, influencing public opinion, and prompting critical thinking. Moreover, the challenge lies in elucidating the structural components of an editorial essay. Analyzing how an introduction sets the tone, the body paragraphs substantiate the argument, and the conclusion reinforces the main points requires a keen understanding of composition. Crafting a compelling thesis statement that encapsulates the core message and effectively organizing supporting evidence further adds to the complexity. Furthermore, one must address the need for a distinctive voice in an editorial essay. Balancing objectivity with a subjective stance demands a refined skill set. The writer must navigate the fine line between presenting facts and injecting personal opinions, ensuring a coherent and convincing narrative. In conclusion, the task of writing an essay on the intricacies of an editorial essay is undeniably challenging. My high school classmate Yijie jeered at me when I told him I wanted to major in mathematics and computer science. Such complex subjects are just not suitable for women. In my country, China, this gender stereotype still affects women s lives, from major placement decision to their career path choice. I strongly oppose this constraining opinion, and firmly believe that women are capable to make great achievements in modern high technology as men do. Therefore, I made up my mind to show people that women can also succeed in mathematics and computer science. I have been committed to mathematics and computing since I was young. My parents are both accountants. They taught me a lot math and computer skills in my childhood. Their love and passion towards math and computing had a huge impact on me. This play was a readaptation of the playwright by William Shakespeare Romeo and Juliet. In West Side Story story, there are two many characters they are Tony and Maria. Both plays show the cause and effect of the unnecessary feud between two groups of people, which in return are given death. These two star crossed lovers come from completely opposite sides of a feud. This feud separates the two lovers, making it impossible for them to be together in the world they live in. The feud is between two groups, the Jets which are the Americans with different heritages, then there are the Sharks who are Puerto Rican immigrants. The Jets are very hostile towards the Sharks, the hostility was due to the Sharks trying to take the playground from the Jets, which is the only place that they can call home. Identification of the S. aureus genes involved in HLH 30 activation will allow us to pinpoint the PAMP /DAMP which is recognized by the host. Achieving this aim will allow us to manipulate this conserved innate signaling pathway and further our fundamental understanding of how the host detects pathogen. Scientific Premise for Specific Aim 2 Identification of the acetylcholine receptors in immune cells and intestinal epithelial cells involved in the activation of TFEB. A recent screen in C. elegans to determine the receptor involved in the detection of a pathogenic signal activating HLH 30 led to the identification of two G protein linked acetylcholine receptors (GARs) GAR 2 and GAR 3. GAR 2 and GAR 3 are homologous to muscarinic acetylcholine receptors (mAChRs). RNA i experiments in C. elegans showed that GAR 2 and GAR 3 expressed in the intestine are critical in activating HLH 30. From this observation, we hypothesized that TFEB activation in mammals could also involve acetylcholine receptors AChRs. Acetylcholine suppresses the immune system by limiting the production of pro inflammatory cytokines according to previous studies.

Title: Impact of Environmental Communication in Public Sphere on Urban Youth in Gujarat 1 Introduction Environment has attained centrality in the national and international arena in the past few decades. The primary reason for this has been environmental degradation as a consequence of varied socio economic, institutional and technological factors. The need for sensitisation is imperative and which can be substantially achieved through legislation and communication. Communication designs of environmental issues influence public awareness, opinion, and action. Environmental awareness or the subsequent lack thereof, have been on a rise for a while now with rise in population, changing political ideologies, increased private investments and overall privatisation and a dominant enshrining of the pro development philosophy of the West. With such tendencies, as humans grow in number, so does the dependency on nature and the lookout for space, an insatiable cycle of production and consumption commences and with this, the Earth our primary producer is reduced to commodity status. In a world dominated by human beings, where often the rights of the natural world and of animals dependent on it, are trampled upon, communication can play an important role in providing a channel for expression, discussion and action. Industrialisation continues to displace indigenous people on a large scale level resulting in various grassroots movements, all in the name of development. People

A doctor could, in this case, advocate for a more advanced implant rather than the cheapest option for the patient or the first option. Doctors should be advocating for higher technology, and not immediate cost effectiveness. Sometimes the harder decisions are the better ones in the long run. Test Material And Its Effects On The Human Body TEST MATERIAL SUBMITTED BY Anuron Deka A1218311004 B.Tech 8th Sem Abstract Thousands of people around the world suffer from injuries everyday which requires removal or reinforcements of the damaged tissues through surgical procedures. Tissue engineering, especially scaffolds have a major role to play in such situations. Scaffolds, a porous cross linked structure aims at the regeneration of the damaged tissue by supporting the cells mechanically while not altering the normal functioning of the cell and the individual as whole. Scaffolds are generally made of synthetic biocompatible polymers. But such scaffolds are generally expensive and may take longer time to decompose inside our body. So we looked for autologous biomaterials which have the desirable properties and can be used in place of the polymers. The autologous biomaterials will also be cheaper and decompose faster compared to the polymers. In this report, I have mentioned three such autologous biomaterials; albumin, collagen and B.mori silk fibroins, which are easily available and possesses the desired properties to manufacture scaffolds from them. I manufactured scaffolds by the process of electrospinning and tested the porosity and swelling of the scaffolds. Introduction Tissue engineering is a field where scientists try to repair or regenerate damaged tissues or cells with the help of artificial materials. In layman s term, tissue engineering can be defined as an interdisciplinary field

  • 24. Chaarismatic Writing Style Of The New Boy Network By... Analysis of The New Boy Network The New Boy Network is an example of author Malcolm Gladwell s charismatic writing style which makes seemingly drab subjects vividly interesting to a wide variety of readers. In this essay, he explores the complex nature of job interviews and how first impressions impact relationships. Gladwell argues that first impressions make an immediate impact on people, even if they do not represent the entire person to inform his audience to avoid relying solely on first impressions. He convinces the reader of this using personal anecdotes which relate the subject to readers and structures the writing, expert opinions which lend credibility to his argument, and utilizing an informal tone which engages the reader. Gladwell weaves an anecdoteabout a Harvard computer science student named Nolan Myers throughout the essay which help the reader relate to diverse topics and creates structure throughout the essay. Gladwell describes Myers as being handsome, charismatic, and easy going, however he cannot explain exactly why he is so gripped with him (5). This description of both his physical appearance and his personality relates the reader to Gladwell, and in turn, shapes the reader s impression of Myers. The reader s first impression of Myers is critical to Gladwell s argument because it makes the reader reflect on the fact that although he or she has never met Nolan Myers, the reader already likes him. This vividly illustrates the point that first impressions are impactful in relationships. These details also allow Gladwell to transition into discussing other people s opinions of Myers. This creates a smooth, easy to follow transition for the reader while hooking him or her with a personal story as opposed to a more academic tone. Another way that Gladwell utilizes the anecdote about Nolan Myers is to show how a first impression then impacts the meaning of everything else that that person says. One example of this is during Gladwell s interviewwith Myers. He says that he is not afraid of failure because he is confident that with time, he can learn many things. Gladwell then reflects that because he like Myers, the answer was confident. However, had he not liked Myers already, the

Essay on Navajo-Hopi Lande Dispute Navajo Hopi Lande Dispute When first considering the Navajo Hopi land dispute as a topic of research, I anticipated a relatively light research paper discussing the local skirmishes between the two tribes. However, my research has yielded innumerable volumes of facts, figures and varying viewpoints on a struggle that has dominated the two tribes for over 100 years. The story is an ever changing one, evolving from local conflict to forcible relocation to big business interests. The incredible breadth of the dispute s history makes it impossible to objectively cover the entire progression from all viewpoints. I will therefore focus on current issues and their historical causes facing the two tribes as they mutually approach ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The land was officially partitioned in 1974 by mandate of P.L. 93 531 also known as the Navajo Hopi Land Settlement Act of 1974 without the input or consent of those from both tribes actually occupying the land in question. The partition equally divided the JUA into the Navajo Partitioned Lands (NPL) and the Hopi Partitioned Lands (HPL). About 12,000 Navajo were stranded on newly declared Hopi land and, likewise, about 300 Hopi families found themselves on Navajo land. Many hold the belief that government sponsored and styled tribal council and influential energy interests contrived the JUA dispute to promote congressional action. The US has subsequently spent over $400 million to relocate the families to tract housing in nearby cities. The disproportionate amount of Navajo forced to relocate heightened age old anxieties between the Navajo and Hopi. The Navajo are still at the center of the relocation controversy as many traditional Dineh families have chosen to remain within the HPL in defiance of 1974 s P.L. 93 531. The Navajo traditionalists view their land as representing the essence of their being, says Jennie Joe of the Native American Research and Training Center at the University of Arizona in Tucson, who conducted a study
  • 26. Role Of Ghost In Hamlet Question 12 Shakespeare s introduction of a ghost in Hamlet serves various objectives in the play, to the characters as well as the audience. The ghost is a controversial character who challenges the audience s view of the plot, the motifs, as well as the flow of events in the story. The appearance of the ghost is associated with tragedy, usually where the humans entangle with the supernatural forces, but in this case, the ghost seems to conform to human capabilities and relies on other human beings to meet its objectives. The presentation of the ghost in the play, from its motives to its appearance highlight the human traits over the supernatural capabilities. The characteristics of the ghost suggest that it might be a construct of Hamlet, and his friends, in trying to make sense of the events leading to the death of his father, as well as a coping mechanism. The narrative gives Hamlet, a son who loved his father, justification as well as the reason to execute revenge against his uncle who took the father s life despite the deviation that exists in his character. Hamlet is considered as the calm and collected character, and engaging in violence is not part of his personality, and as such the conviction that Hamlet is mad. The ghost is Hamlet is presented as a vengeful character, Hamlet s father, the fallen king, murdered by his brother. These attributes of his character draw from the theme of revenge associated with the works of Shakespeare, and the audience is allowed the

Two days before her tenth death anniversary, the spirit of Mother Teresa rests in peace in a white marble tomb, built in the middle of Mother s House, and is surrounded by devotees, who sit with their heads bowed, paying a silent tribute to the lady who gave up everything to serve the poorest of the poor . • 28. Disadvantages Of Deficit Spending Deficit spending is when there is an excess of government expenditures over the government revenue, creating a shortfall that must be financed through borrowing (Deficit Spending, 2014). To put this in other terms deficit spending is when the government needs to borrow money in order to pay for different government programs and other items of value. In the past deficit spending has been used when a country was facing a war or they needed to finance a building project. Deficit spending is also used to help pull a country out of a recession. The actions taken by the government during the late 1930s and early 1940s are a prime example of deficit spending. The United States were in the middle of the great depressionand consumer spending had fallen drastically due to the number of people that found themselves unemployed and without money. In order to combat this drastic decrease in spending the government took on a number of projects that were meant to increase the overall spending. In order to spend more the government would have to borrow money. Once the country was out of the depression, and consumer spending began to grow, the idea was that the government would be able to pay back the money that they had borrowed. In order to determine if deficit spending is worth the cost a country needs to look at the advantages and disadvantages. One of the major advantages of deficit spending is the amount of revenue and jobs that are created in a time when the overall consumer

Jesus uses a couple different words, that actually mean something different than what their real definitions mean, such as sheep and thief. This chapter also uses many different issues to teach the Pharisees. There is only one way to enter the sheep pen that Jesustalks about, but people who are not fit to enter have tried to get in, but if you do not enter the way Jesus wants you too then you will not be saved. What animal comes to mind when you think of a white fluffy animal with four legs? One of the words I studied in John chapter 10:1 21 is sheep. This animal is the most mentioned animal throughout the whole bible, being used by over 500 times. The prominence of sheep in the Bible grows out of two realities. In biblical times sheep were very important to the nomads and for the lives of Hebrews and other people alike. The second reality is that the word sheep was used to symbolize God s people. • 35. Drug Use And Its Effects On Society Despite the issues regarding the scientific studies, evidence has drawn positive links suggesting people who use drugs are more likely to engage in criminal activity than non users if simply because they are breaking the law to obtain the substance of use. Research does support this contention as people who are arrested for various crimes test positive to be under the influence of a drug at the time they committed their offense. However, the evidence remains elusive as to whether the drug use led to the crimeor the crime was separate from the drug use and related needs (i.e., money to buy drugs, territorial wars, etc.). Because of inconsistent data and definitions in reporting, statistical evidence is not empirical enough to draw hard conclusions regarding the relationship between drugs, including alcohol, and crime, or to quantify how much of that crime begins with the innocent seeming lighting up of a marijuana cigarette. In addition, when more than one drug is present, it is difficult to assess which of the two or more might have induced or inspired the criminal behavior, if any. The association between alcohol and violence illustrated through various studies makes it clear that correlations between drug use and crime are greater complicated through the presence of other dynamics such as socio demographic and personality characteristics. Given these cautions regarding the research and studies then, it is interesting to note that studies limited to marijuana only do not

The five types of organizational structures are functional, divisional, matrix, team based, and virtual network (Draft, 2013, p.316). Functional structure in an organization that is developed by grouping departments by the skills, level of knowledge, activities done daily, and the resource used. This structure places specific departments from the bottom to the top (Draft, 2013, p.318). For example, specific departments such as: human resources, accounting, engineering, and manufacturing are placed at the top, while there are mostly seen at the bottom in other organizations. While common functions such as; people, facilities, and other resources are combined together as a single department instead of being divided into multiple departments. Divisional structure is known by the approach of having similar skills and resources grouped together into divisions (Draft, 2013, p.318). This occurs when a company has common goals that the company wants to achieve. This allows all skills and departments to come together and produce the goal there are looking to achieve. In this type of structure not one person is viewed as important than the next one, because it takes everyone to work together to produce the outcome the company wants to achieve. The matrix structure uses both functional and divisional structures to run an organization (Draft, 2013, p.321). This allows the company to

The case also had to have two (2) external USB 2.0 ports, a minimum of; one (1) external 5.25 drive bay to install an optical drive, one (1) external 3.5 drive bay to install an internal card reader, and three (3) internal hard disk drive bays. The Gigabyte GZ ZA2 Black ATX Mid Tower Computer Case was one of the most cost effective choices that met or exceeded all of the requirements. Item 2. Minimize the effects of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. According to Cornell University, there is not definitive proof that ergonomic devices actually provide a health benefit or prevent Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (Hedge, 2015). User education and proper positioning will provide for the best ergonomic arrangement of the user s computer workstation and mouse (Hedge, 2011).
  • 49. China Under The Rule Of The Shang Dynasty China has not always had a centralized system of power. From 1766 BC to 1045 BC China was under the rule of the Shang Dynasty. From there on the ruling of China was in the hands of many dynasties. Dynasties were overthrown and a change in power happened constantly. China was under the rule of the Ch inf, MIng, Yuan, Sung, T ang,Han, and many other dynasties. The earliest cities in Chinaformed around 2000 BC to 1000 BC. Chinese cities contained temples and palaces and many were walled. The purpose of having a walled city was for protection from invaders. The most famous and commonly known wall is the great wall of China. The great wall of China is a 5, 500 mile long wall that was constructed by joining walls from different cities in the Chinese
  • 50. Rejected Lrt Routes By Bay Street REJECTED LRT ROUTES Another line we considered using but ultimately rejected was Bay street as there are too many residential areas along that road. For instance, from Aberdeen avenue to Jackson street we noted that there is an array of Condos and homes. Furthermore, it is a one way road with only two lanes, meaning that there isn t enough room for a LRT, construction would have to include first widening the road then putting in the LRT, access to the road would be virtually cut off during the time of construction. What s More, there is no mountain access from bay street, meaning the LRT would have to make its way over to James or to Queen to use their mountain access. This would cause major, unnecessary construction and the LRT... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Eventually the train station will occupy the Lakeshore West GO Train meaning that the LRT will have access to go stations and buses. This stop has the capabilities to make room for a LRT station as it is an area that houses newly built train station. Thus, putting in a LRT station there would only add to the infrastructure invested in that area The area has already been made a station so adding a LRT stop will only add to the transportation hub put in place. From our visit to the area from our field work, the area is not that busy so constuction won t affect that many people s commute or the profit of smaller businesses. The residential area is right across where many lower middle income families live that an LRT would help tremendously for purposes of traveling to work or other personal matters. James and York BLVD: With a LRT stop, the James streetat York Boulevard could revitalised, as, despite its surroundings being revamped it still appears to need some work. Also it is the closest stop to the shopping district of James street that, in recent years has been revitalised. It is also close to the Hamilton Farmers market which we noticed from our field work had a lot of people walking to and from, meaning that those small businesses will be able to advertise their products to more people. Use vacated building fronts to create a indoor LRT station as opposed to a ticket booth on the sidewalk. We would make any

Introduction Cinnamaldehyde, cinnamic aldehyde or 3 phenyl 2 propenal is the major constituent of cinnamon oil, extracted from several species of Cinnamomum (C. verum, C. burmanii, C. cassia), under the family Lauraceae, a group of evergreen trees. Cinnamon bark (particularly C. verum) yields 0.4 0.8% oil, which contains 60 80% cinnamaldehyde, 4 5% sesquiterpenoids (О± humulene, ОІ caryophyllene, limonene and others), eugenol, cinnamyl acetate, eugenol acetate, cinnamyl alcohol, methyl eugenol, benzaldehyde, benzyl benzoate, cuminaldehyde, monoterpenes (linalool, pinene,... • 52. The Importance Of Urbanization Since China is a developing country with a large population, the scale of urbanization is expanding, and urban structure becomes increasingly complex and the speed of urbanization is accelerating (Huang Duan, 2004) since China s reform and opening up. Rapid urbanization is the main driving force of urban land growth (Li et al, 2015). Moreover, now and in the next few decades, the spatial expansion of construction land is becoming the main feature of land use changing (Yi, 2015). The study of the spatial temporal characteristics of construction land expansion will further deepen understanding the nature of the urbanization(Lin, 2007). A growing body of literature has documented various methods to study the rapid expansion of urban (Wei, 2017). Remote sensing data and GIS spatial analysis were used to study the spatial expansion and external morphological evolution of urban or urban agglomerations (Shang et al, 2013; Li et al, 2015; Yi et al, 2015). Urban expansion and surface temperature information on Landsat satellite images were to study urban expansion and thermal environment changes (Li Xu, 2014). In addition, the landscape metrics also could be used to study urbanization and analyze the spatial temporal pattern of urban sprawl (Lv et al, 2012; C.Seto Fragkias, 2005; Zeng et al, 2012). Recently, urban growth models were widely used to simulation the future development of the city, such as the SLEUTH model, and the spatial regression model (E.A.Silva
