My Father Is My Hero Essay
Writing an essay on the topic of "My Father Is My Hero" can be both emotionally rewarding and
challenging. On one hand, the admiration and love for one's father can provide a wealth of
material to draw from, making it easier to express gratitude and appreciation for their impact on
one's life. However, capturing the essence of this relationship in a coherent and engaging essay
requires careful thought and introspection.
The difficulty lies in striking the right balance between personal anecdotes, reflections on
character traits, and broader themes of heroism and influence. It's essential to convey the unique
bond between father and child while also crafting a narrative that resonates with a wider
audience. This may involve revisiting memories, grappling with complex emotions, and finding
the words to articulate the significance of paternal guidance and support.
Additionally, there's the challenge of avoiding clichГ©s and sentimentality, as the topic of
parental heroism is a common trope in literature and media. Striving for authenticity and
originality is key to creating a compelling essay that truly captures the essence of one's
relationship with their father.
In conclusion, while writing an essay on the topic of one's father being their hero can be a deeply
personal and meaningful endeavor, it also requires careful navigation of emotional complexities
and narrative pitfalls. However, the end result can be a powerful tribute to the profound impact
of paternal influence on one's life.

Red Velvet Waffles Analysis
Spicy Buttermilk Fried Chicken and Red Velvet Waffles with Spicy Butter Pecan
Syrup
If I took one day longer to publish this recipe I know my followers would chew me
out! I debuted this Spicy Buttermilk Fried Chicken and Red Velvet Waffles with
Butter Pecan Syrup on my Twitter last week and seemed to get pretty good
engagement on the pictures. YAY! =) My taste tester thoroughly enjoyed the meal
and said they would pay for it in a restaurant sooo I think I have a winner, guys! Who
knows, I might actually sell this meal in my future restaurant.
Background on Spicy Buttermilk Fried Chicken and Red Velvet Waffles

I was thinking about making a spicy chocolate syrup to play off of the small
amount of cocoa powder in the red velvet waffles. I also thought the spicy
chocolate syrup would work well with the chicken because, mole. LOL, BUT I
know most of my readers have probably never tried chicken mole and would
probably write me an email cussing me out for pairing chicken with chocolate!
Anyway, I settled on making a spicy butter pecan syrup from scratch. Yes, my
loves, we can make syrup in our kitchens! Fear not, I promise it s not very labor
intensive. I toasted my pecans for a few minutes then I added them to the syrup
(which is just sugar and water) then I added some cayenne pepper, some chipotle
powder, some bourbon and of course butter. This syrup is not lacking in the spice
department, it will rattle your taste buds. The heat won t overwhelm you so there s
no need to worry.

An Analysis Of The Muscular System
To begin with, the muscular system basically makes movement. Every step you take,
every time you blink your eyes and eve when you swallow food, that is the muscular
system doing its job. The muscular system also helps maintain homeostasis by
maintaining body temperature which happens when you contract, which is the
shortening of a musclewhile pulling against the bones, you are releasing heat which
is helping regulate your body temperature. Another job that the muscular system has
is maintaining our body s posture. These are some examples of involuntary things
that your bones do, meaning that they do it without you personally consciously
controlling them. Some examples of voluntary movement, which is when you re

Often, certain behaviors become more noticeable when comparing children of the
same age.
In some cases, babies with ASD may seem different very early in their
development. Even before their first birthday, some babies become overly focused
on certain objects, rarely make eye contact, and fail to engage in typical back and
forth play and babbling with their parents. Other children may develop normally until
the second or even third year of life, but then start to lose interest in others and
become silent, withdrawn, or indifferent to social signals. Loss or reversal of normal
development is called regression and occurs in some children with ASD. (National
Institute of Mental Health, 2012). According to the Diagnostic and Statistical manual,
symptoms include making little eye contact, tendency to look and listen less to
people in their environment or failure to respond to other people, do not readily seek
to share their enjoyment of toys or activities by pointing or showing things to others,
responding unusually when others show anger, distress, or affection. Children with
autism spectrum disorders often have difficulty with communication. These
symptoms include, failure or slow to respond to their name or other verbal attempts
to gain their attention, failure or slow to develop gestures, such as pointing and
showing things to others, coo and babble in the first year of life, but then stop doing
so, develop language at a delayed pace, learn to communicate
Micro Controller At Mega
Micro Controller AT Mega 328 In the area of control and automation, the need for
some processing unit became indispensable in a wide variety of applications. Among
these, microcontrollers stand as a lower cost alternative, satisfactory reliability,
simplicity, reduced consumption energy, however, with limited memory capacity and
processing.
A microcontroller contains a processor, memory access and peripheral input
/ output. It is a microprocessor that can be programmed for specific functions, in
contrast to other general purpose microprocessors (such as those used in PCs).
Basically, the use of a microcontroller is in the processing of data from one of your
peripherals, with the set of output data. For example, send data via serial port or
generate a reaction in system as an LED light.
The architecture of a microcontroller generally consists of a core processing, bus and
Peripherals:
Processing core consists of the data processor (calculations, flow control program,
etc.) and administration of peripherals.
Bus is divided into data and address, is on the lines of communication between the
processor and peripherals.
Peripherals characterize the set of features available by the microcontroller and are
controlled by the processor. For example, memory, serial port, parallel port and AD
converter.
Microcontrollers are typically used in automation and control products and
peripherals, such as control systems of automotive engines, remote controls,
machines, etc.

Harbaugh Vs. Michigan Rivalry Analysis
It s safe to say college football s Ohio State versus Michigan rivalry was in the
doldrums prior to Wolverines head coach Jim Harbaugh s return to his alma mater
last year. The Buckeyes have dominated Michigan since the turn of the century,
winning 12 of the 14 matchups between the two schools from 2001 2014. With a
10 3 record in his first season as Michigan s head coach, Harbaugh is bringing life
back to a rivalry that many consider the best in college football.
Because of Harbaugh s return to the school he once quarterbacked for, interest in
the Buckeyes and Wolverines rivalry was at its highest in nearly a decade last
season. Yet, Ohio State continued its dominance over Michigan as Buckeyes head
coach Urban Meyer welcomed Harbaugh to the rivalry with a 42 13 beatdown in Ann

appearance as the San Francisco 49ers head coach in 2013, proving that his elite

allowed Harbaugh to compete within college football s most important landscape, the
recruiting arena.
College football s National Signing Day commenced Wednesday, further
highlighting Harbaugh s impact on the recruiting trail. According to seemingly
every outlet (ESPN, Rivals, 247Sports, Scout.com), Harbaugh has branded
Michigan with a top 10 recruiting class in 2016. Harbaugh s biggest splash of the
day was the commitment of No. 1 overall prospect Rashan Gary, a defensive tackle

Nonpossessive Warmth Research Paper
is a very important aspect in counseling, especially when dealing with adolescents.
The key to nonpossessive warmth is acceptance. It is an attitude that does not
evaluate or require change; it simply accepts the thoughts, feelings and actions of
the client (Clinton Ohlschlager, 2003). Adolescents want to be heard and to feel as
if the people around them care and accept them for who they are. It is very important
for counselors to make each client feel important and make sure they know that they
matter. When adolescents feel as if they matter and that they are important, they will
open up to the counselor making it easier to work through problems and the search
of who they are. Adolescents are always searching for who they

The Sound Devices Used Within the Tyger by William Blake
Where the Sleeping Tyger Lies: An Analysis of the Sound Devices Used in The
Tyger by William Blake
The Tyger, written in 1974, is one of both simplicity and mystery. Within this poem
written by old English William Blake, there are 13 full questions within this short
24 line work. Though many literary analysts have attempted to forge a meaning
from this work, not one theme has a more correct stance than any of the others. One
clear symbol within the piece is the Tyger, who represents some form of evil entity,
quite possibly Satan himself. One possibility for the theme is that the poet is
questioning why God would create such an evil being. This can be exemplified in the
first stanza and last stanzas, where the word could is changed to ... Show more content

Alliteration is used quite frequently in Blake s work, and is apparent in nearly all
of the stanzas. Some clear examples of this sound device are burning bright (1) or
distant deeps (5). These alliterations only further add to the hint at a prayer like
state of the poem, but also go on to help the poem have a smoother rhythm and
flow. They are evident throughout the entire piece, and do tend to get quite a bit
repetitive at times, but are always used effectively and to put strong emphasis on
whatever is being alliterated. These alliterations point more directly towards the
specific ideas mentioned earlier, and are Blake s stabs at again creating a larger
focus on the words selected. This is can be easily compared to highlighting words
read aloud, as the audience and reader will take mental notes of them as they are
spoken, and refer back to them when questioning the idea and theme of the poem.
Though both assonance and consonance are not completely un evident in the piece,
they are never used to convey any form of meaning or to add any depth to the piece,
but rather they both blend to help the writing have smoother flow and not seem as
choppy as it would without these sound devices. Because of this, these don t
particularly focus on anything to help convey any specific
The New Jim Crow By Michelle Alexander Essay
In the book The New Jim Crow author Michelle Alexander argues that a racial caste
system still exists in the United States. Furthermore, this caste system is set up by the
social control that is created by the discriminatory practices of the War on Drugs. The
War on Drugs and mass incarcerations create a racial undercaste of African
Americans, by marginalizing ex offenders in America. Within her arguments she
describes the racist practices of, and policies surrounding, the War on Drugs. These
extend from the policeforce on the ground, who are apprehending the criminals or, in
many cases, innocent people, all the way to the practices of prosecuting and
sentencing of these people. There are many instances where the injustices extend all
the way to the Supreme Court. However, that may not be surprising given the fact
that the War on Drugs is a federal government institution. This racism, while inherent,
is not always apparent. In this paper I will assess the broken practices that the War
on Drugs implements, including mass incarceration, and how racism is the basis for
these practices. However, while it does show that racism does exist in these practices,
Alexander doesn t necessarily show that racism is the reason behind the War on
Drugs and mass incarceration, but rather a by product.
Racism is the main theme that you see throughout the whole book. Alexander begins
her narrative with a history of racism in this country. Beginning with the inception of
slavery in the
Security Threats of E-Commerce
INTRODUCTION
E commerce, which is simply the system of transacting business through the use of
electronic and digital media as the computer and mobile devices, has become not just
a necessary but also an effective means of global economic development. The
astronomical growth of interconnectivity through the computer network (I.e.,
internet) has made e commerce a veritable tool for quick business relationships to be
formed without any form of physical contact. At the click of the mouse, business
transactions ranging from banking, shopping and all manner of trading are carried

The goods can be physical goods, such as books, equipments or CDs, or electronic
goods, such as electronic documents, images, or music. Similarly, there are traditional
services, such as hotel or flight booking, as well as electronic services, such as
financial market analyses in electronic form.
E payment systems are not a novel idea. Electronic money has been used between
banks in the form of funds transfer since 1960. For nearly as long, customers have
been able to withdraw money from ATMs (automatic teller machines), and the use of
credit cards has also become increasingly common since then.
Credit Cards
Credit cards are currently the most popular payment instrument on the Internet. The
first credit cards were introduced decades ago (Diner s Club in 1949, American
Express in 1958). For a long time, credit cards have been produced with magnetic
stripes containing unencrypted, read only information. Today, more and more cards
are smart cards containing hardware devices (chips) offering encryption and far
greater storage capacity. Recently even virtual credit cards (software digital or e
wallets) are gaining progressive patronage.
Typically, the customer gives his credit cardinformation (i.e., issuer, expiry date,
number) to the merchant. The merchant asks the acquirer bank for authorization. The
acquirer bank sends a message over the interbank network to the issuer bank asking

Paper On The Last Supper
As we near the end of the semester, it is important to reflect back on what was
discussed and learned. We have viewed many pieces of work over the last few
months including relatively old pieces as well as modern ones. With everything in
life, one will develop their personal opinion on the matter. With that being said, I
have chosen two pieces of work to contemplate: one being positive and one being
negative. There were many pieces throughout the semester that I could develop a
positive or even a negative response to, however, the following are my top two pieces
in each aspect. The Last Supper, which was created by Leonardo da Vinci in 1498,
can easily be considered as one of the most famous paintings to this day. I chose this
work to serve as my positive response simply because in my opinion there is not a

The painting is absolutely beautiful in terms of visual aspects. Leonardo used a one
point perspective to effectively accentuate the center of the painting, which is
most obviously Jesus Christ. Not only does he put the vanishing point at Christ s
head, but he creates a triangle with his body that no other object overlaps. He uses
contrast to light up the middle of the painting while making the edges much darker.
All of these create a powerful image of Jesus. Not only do I like the painting for it s
beautiful visual aspects but it s emotional beauty. It doesn t necessarily make me
sad. It more so opens my eyes to the reality of the story. The painting was designed
to be different from the previous depictions of the last supper. Leonardo has given
his take on the psychology of each of the figures in the painting. The emotions of
each of the apostles is overwhelming and ultimately give off the affect of a subtle
chaos due to the fact that Christ has just told them one of them will betray him.

Abstract
Location based tracking is becoming more and more common due to the ever
changing technological advances in the world today. Gone are the days where no
one knew your location unless they were physically with you. Today, location based
tracking seems like the new trend in society with companies such as Foursquare and
EchoEcho. Some wonder what makes a person use services like this to share with the
world. That question may never be answered, but what is known is that some
individuals use it to share their favorite restaurant, bar, and hangout locations while
others use it to pinpoint the location of their children. ... Show more content on

privacy policy of any technological tool? Not everyone does but should so that they

Baseball Narrative
Me and my dad have never really seen eye to eye. He sees homework as a study

after the scheduled start, the rain came. It didn t just come, it came firing. People
screamed as rain poured down on them. I sprinted to the food stand to get a hot dog
and a pretzel. Lightning came next, and it was loud. People screamed every time
lightning struck, and I was worried also. I got pretty good video of lightning almost
striking a building across the highway. As we watched the rain, we heard very
concerning news. Did you hear that there is a tornado back home? someone said
with a sad tone. I almost peed myself. Me and my dad went and stood underneath
the safest area of Busch, and it got pretty packed. The security guards were
escorting people from the top 2 levels of Busch. Those were an hour and thirty
minutes I would like to forget. So many drunk people in the same area. Lightning
stopped an 1 hour and 30 minutes later, but it was still raining but the umpires
started the game! It was 11:30 at night, and I was tired. We decided to just go
Joseph Mccarthy Red Scare
Joseph McCarthy During the late 1940s and early 1950s, the idea of communist
subversion was becoming frighteningly real. These fears came to define and, in
some cases, corrode the era s political culture. For many Americans, the most
enduring symbol of this Red Scare was Republican Senator Joseph P. McCarthy of
Wisconsin. McCarthy spent almost five years trying in vain to expose communists
and other left wing loyalty risks in the U.S. government. In February 1950, appearing
at the Ohio County Women s Republican Club in Wheeling, West Virginia,
McCarthy gave a speech that boosted him into the national spotlight. Waving a piece
of paper in the air, he declared that he had a list of 205 known members of the
Communist Party who were working... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Moreover, many of McCarthy s Democratic and Republican colleagues, including
President Dwight Eisenhower, disapproved of his tactics ( I will not get into the
gutter with this guy, the president told his aides). Still, the senator continued his so
called Red baiting campaign. In 1953, at the beginning of his second term as senator,
McCarthy was put in charge of the Committee on Government Operations, which
allowed him to launch even more expansive investigations of the alleged communist
infiltration of the federal government. In hearing after hearing, he aggressively
interrogated witnesses in what many came to perceive as a blatant violation of their
civil rights. Despite a lack of any proof of subversion, more than 2,000 government
employees lost their jobs as a result of McCarthy s

Unlike other computer languages such as C and C++, the first version of Java came

A native widget toolkit uses operating system calls to build UI components such as

Wine Quality Of Wine Tourism
Wine making history can be traced back to fourth century BC. Wine making in
China has also last for at least 2000 years. Wine tourism is defined as a special

Elements of Interreligious Dialogue in The Waste Land
The House Of His Protection The Land Gave To Him That Sought Her Out And Unto
Him That Delved Gave Return Of Her Fruits
Engraved above the Western most door of Joslyn Art Museum
Beyond all doubt, T. S. Eliot s The WasteLand is one of the most excruciating works
a reader may ever attempt. The reading is painful to the point of exhaustion for the
poetry lover as he scrutinizes the poem pericope by pericope. However, all this
suffering (self inflicted or otherwise) suggests that the author has likewise labored
over the poem, emptying himself into his work pericope by pericope. Suddenly, the
reader understands that the poet intends to deliver a specific message, luring ... Show

Furthermore, I intend to demonstrate that the poet understands this truth to be
explicit in nature, and thus these religions derive their common truth from it.
To begin with, the religious symbols and imagery that Eliot depicts ought to be
observed. Religious language is so prevalent in the poem that the reader can hardly
escape it; however, there are specific allusions to Hinduism, Buddhism, and
Christianity which are intended to catch the reader s attention, and those are the
images this essay is concerned with, found as I have mentioned in meditations III
and V. The title of the third meditation is The Fire Sermon ; Buddhists will
recognize this title from a sermon given by Buddha himself; Eliot notes for his
Christian readers that it measures in importance as Jesus Sermon on the Mount. In
this sermon, Buddha describes everything as being on fire, and he explains
everything as the eye and all it sees, the ear and all it hears, the nose and all it
smells, the tongue and all it tastes, the body and all it feels, and the mind including
all of which it is conscious; and whatever sensation, pleasant, unpleasant, or
indifferent, originates in dependence on impressions received by [these organs], that
also is on fire (Warren, 352). Buddha says that this fire which seemingly devours
everything is passion. So, the Buddhist develops an aversion for these organs and all
their functions; this done successfully, he
A Summary Of The Thirteen Colonies
Once upon a time in far away land Thirteen Colonies prospered. These colonies
were owned by a cruel King who taxed them without permission. The mean King
chose to go to war with France in the land just north of the colonies in a war called
the French and Indian War.
To pay back the money he owed to the bank after the war this king proposed the
Sugar Act and the Stamp Act. These acts taxed all of the colonists sugar, molasses,
and printed paper which upset them greatly. Why should they suffer for a decision
they did not make?
No Taxation Without Representation they chanted in outrage. For King George III
and the British Parliament were a plague to their community. To rebel, the colonists
threw British tea into the ocean during the Boston Tea Party. However, this tea party
did not have a fairytale ending when the British government responded with the
Intolerable Acts. Oh, how Intolerable they were! Boston Harbor closed, governors
banning town meetings, trials in Britain, and soldiers in our buildings, oh my. they
uttered.
Therefore, the colonists gathered in the First Continental Congress to discuss what
they were going to do about these unacceptable laws. Fifty six delegates came
together from 12 of the colonies to unite against Britain. The Second Continental
Congress happened soon after where they decided to create an army with George
Washington as the general.

Kornfield No Self
In No Self or True Self, Jack Kornfield believes that meditation and spiritual
practice allows us to figure out who we really are as human beings. In order to do
this, he believes that we need to accomplish two tasks; discover selflessness and
develop a healthy sense of self. A person needs to realize and learn that we all coexist
and that a single identitydoesn t define someone, in order to live a fulfilling and
awakening life. Kornfield s account of the selfis logical and good because a person
would be nowhere and not succeed in life without the help of others around them and
everyone changes over time including their identity.
The first task that a person needs to accomplish to be able to awaken is to discover
selflessness. Kornfield says, We do not exist as separate human beings (199). This
means that we all depend on one another. I agree with statement ... Show more

Some might argue that reclamation is a negative aspect of developing a healthy
sense of self. According to Kornfield, In reclamation, we bring attention to
understanding the painful conditions that created our weak, deficient, or
barricaded sense of self (208). The act of bringing attention and revealing painful
memories that a person stored away is like opening a healed wound back up. For
some people, this can be extremely traumatic and can be hard to push forward to
reach the end goal of a healthy sense of self. Although some may argue that
reclamation does more harm than good to a person, Kornfield and I disagree.
Kornfield believes that a person has to push through all of the hardships in order to
have a healthy sense of self and in the end the person will feel much better. I agree
because I believe that once you understand the pain and weakness, you grow
stronger and can look past the bad and focus on the present. We all encounter
challenges in our lives and the only way to move past them is to face them directly
and overcome
Traditional Endings Of Western Genre Films

Saint Ignatius Of Loyola Personal Writings
The book, Saint Ignatius of Loyola Personal Writings, was translated by Joseph A.
Munitiz and Philip Endean and first published in 1996. This book contains many
aspects of St. Ignatius life, from his reminiscences to his spiritual exercises. Inigo
Lopez de Loyola was born in 1491 in Spain, the youngest of 13 children. Inigo
became a soldier at the age of 18 and began to refer to himself at Ignatius. Ignatius
becomes a man obsessed with his image and a life of luxury until his conversion into
a devout catholic. Saint Ignatius of LoyolaPersonal Writings tells the story of St.
Ignatius early life obsessed with his image, and his transformation into his ultimate
obsession with living a life dedicated to Christ, that I believe may have interfered
with his growing relationship with God.
St. Ignatius lived his life in vain. He was too concerned with his outward
appearance, and his reputation among others. In battle, his legs were badly injured.
Even through the excruciating pain, he made an effort to show no outer sign of
discomfort. When his legs had healed, one leg was left with an unsightly
misconfiguration from the healing of the bones. He underwent another, even more,
painful surgery to fix his outer appearance. During his long recovery, St. Ignatius
read about the life of Christ and the saints. As he learned more about the holy lives
of the saints, St. Ignatius was converted and was determined to live a life the way
Christ and the saints did.
After St. Ignatius was

Health Concerns Specific to Culture
As you know, when pregnant women receive prenatal care late in their pregnancy
or do not receive prenatal care at all during pregnancy, they are at higher risk for
having a baby with low birth weight or giving birth prematurely. They are also at
higher risk for pregnancy related mortality and birth complications. 18.8% of all
Alaskan women in the years 2007 2008 who delivered live births reported that they
did not receive prenatal care as early in their pregnancies as they would have liked.
Most Alaskan women reported that they did not have enough money, no insurance,
or did not have a Medicaid card therefor; they could did not have access to prenatal
care. (Alaskan Maternal and Child Health Data Book, 2011) Recently, 125 Alaskan
Native women were interviewed and 20% of those women reported to binge drinking
in their 1st and 2nd trimester of pregnancy. This number has surprisingly decreased
and it is thought to be in response to the Alaska FAS (fetal alcohol syndrome)

Pros And Cons Of Rational Choice Theory
Rational choice theory is a criminology theory designed by Derek Cornish and
Ronald Clark which states that before people commit a crime they think about what
they are going to do (Snook, Dhami, Kavanagh, 2011). They consider the pros and
cons before performing the criminal action. The entire premise of the rational choice
theoryis that each individual, regardless of whether rich, poor, educated, or
uneducated, all utilize rationality when making the decision to commit a crime
(Taylor, 2013). The rational choice theorypostulates that when a person weighs the
costs and benefits of a crime, that person decides whether or not the benefits are
worth the risk. It is about maximizing his or her own self interest (Jacques Wright,
2010). The
The Human Struggle In Yasujiro Ozu s Tokyo Story
Generations don t battle, they mostly clash into each other. We see this in our very
own lives, where parents bring up their past and say, If only you knew how good
you have it! . This will forever be somewhat a problem in the past, present, and
future of our lives. One generation will always be underestimated or beyond correct
then the other. In Yasujiro Ozu s film Tokyo Story we see constant clashing of the
elderly and the youth. Ozu s message of how the generations have changed is a way
of him defining to us what the human struggle is. Due to the character s actions in
the way they treat each other we can pick up on the struggles that they are having
and see the human struggle in the film. At the start of the film, Ozu shows us two
of the main characters of the film; Shukichi and Tomi. We see them packing their
bags to go on a trip. They are going to see their children whom, they haven t seen in
a long while. We can see that Ozu is showing us that becoming old is one struggle
that most humans fear, but of course it must occur in our lives. When the old slow
couple are packing, Shukichi asks Tomi where the inflatable pillow is and Tomi
responds and says that she gave it to him. With aging comes forgetfulness and
stubbornness; and when Tomi says she gave it to him he starts to say no you didn
t, you still have it. Later we see it appear in his bag where he said it wasn t and
nothing is said when he finds it. It is simply brushed away with no argument to
follow. Ozu shows
Four Major Blood Types
there are four major blood types a ,b, ab, or O. The antigens on the surface of a
blood cell determines what kind of blood type you have. Antigens are proteins on
the surface of blood cells that can cause a response from the immune system. We
need to know these blood types so that if we ever needed a bloodtransfusion, we
know what blood typewe would need. It matters what blood type you receive when
you have a transfusion because if you receive a different blood type that yours it
could possibly kill you. All you need is to receive 50 miles or more of the wrong
blood type and you could die. , but there is an exception for some blood types that
can be universal. For example, blood type O, can be given to anyone because blood

• Explain The Role Of Cognitive Development In
Infants
that this first cognitive development stage encompasses six substages.10 Feeding
abilities change as infants meet the development goals of the various stages. For
example, when infants gain the ability to coordinate single movements they will be
able to pick up small pieces of food and develop the ability to self feed (Table
6.2).10 General motor skills, behavioral changes, and facial expressions also play
important roles in the development of infants eating habits and their ability to eat
food and to drink
Within the health care environment, nurses are the cornerstone of assessing infant
growth and development. Generally, assessment of infant focuses on 4 areas:
physical, social, emotional, and cognitive capabilities. Examples of physical
assessment include gross and fine motor skills as well as strength, how easily an
infant becomes tired, and pain tolerance. Social assessment is determined by
interactions with others. Examples of emotional assessment include how the infant
reacts to people and situations, and examples of cognitive assessment include thought
and reasoning. It is important for the nurse who is conducting the assessment to
establish a good rapport with the family. Good rapport will form a ... Show more

Parents and caregivers should be aware of the unique hunger cues of their child
and respond appropriately. In some phases, infants may eat more often than usual.
This is referred to as cluster feeding and describes when a baby shifts from feeding
every 2 or 3 hours to feeding every hour or feeding in spurts. Cluster feeding is
most common during the evening hours and in young babies; however, older babies
who are approaching a growth spurt or developmental changes may also cluster
feed. Understanding a baby s stomach capacity, especially during the first 10 days of
life, helps to explain why cluster feeds may
Alexander Was Not Great Dbq Essay
Alexander was a man who started his empire in the year 334 B.C.E.. It spread from
Macedonia and went to the Hindu Kush mountains. He died in Babylon in the year
323 B.C.E. when he was 33 years old. Alexander was not great because he was
power hungry, callous, and egotistic. Everywhere Alexander went, from Macedonia
to the Hindu Kush mountains, he would try to dominate(Doc. A). This shows that
he is power hungry because he is dominating places just to feel more powerful.
Alexander cut off a soldier s head after he saved his hat(Doc. D). This shows that he
is callous because the soldier tried to save his hat, even though the soldier wore
Alexander s hat cutting his head off as a cruel punishment. Alexander burnt down the
city of Tyre(Doc. C).
Christian Rap And The Music
As I sat in my chair of the fancy hall (which name I cannot remember for the life of
me) last spring when transferred to DBU for the spring SWAT I was tuning in to
different conversations around the room. Everyone was having a good time, talking,
laughing, and expressing concern about missing home. All was fine until one of the
staff members put music on, but not just any genre they put on ChristianRap (gasp
and pause for dramatic effect) I then heard the displeasure start arising from the
group of homeschoolers as they began to say why are they playing this filth? , why
are they allowing this, rap is so disgusting! I sat and pondered, This is definitely
Christian Rap and not secular rap, why are they freaking out? then it dawned on...

But if lost people hear the comments of the homeschoolers that I heard we will just be
seen as stuck up and higher than the lost person. With that our ministry and witness
will began to crumble. Christ met people where they were, so why should the
Christians of today s culture do the same for the lost souls?
As someone who did not grow up in church and did not become a Christian until a
few years ago was learning that secular music, while not honoring Christ at all can
be used as a ministry. Knowing the love of Christ helped me to hear a deeper
meaning in rap songs when I listened to them. Through that I began to see that in
every rap song there was some type of brokenness to the artist as they rapped about
going through multiple girls but not finding the right one, having all this money but
never enough stuff, and looking for conformation from all the wrong people.
People, especially Christians want to look down on the rap community because the
lifestyle they live in but they cannot see that these very same people that are
idolized by the world are just as broken as we are/were. Without an understanding of
this music how can we show lost people that they can listen to the style that they are
so found of while worshipping the God that made them?
My youth minister helped me change the way I worship by not judging the rap I
was listening to, but instead pointed me into a further direction of worship with God.
I was getting set to drive us to a youth rally
Symptoms And Symptoms Of Bipolar Disorder
After class discussion, it became apparent that individuals with bipolar disorder
(BD) can have occupations and can interact normally with others if the disorder is
kept under control or manage by psychopharmacological interventions. The lability
that can be seen during the manic episodes may be puzzling or irritating to those
who are not familiar with the different signs and symptoms that a person may
display during this phase. In view of the unpredictability or lability that individuals
with BD may exhibit and the consequences of their behaviors, it is worthwhile to
consult the literatures for more details about the disorder. Bipolar disorder is
categorized into bipolar I, bipolar II, and cyclothymic based on the severity and
manifestation of the disorder. Bipolar I according to the Diagnostic and Statistical
Manual of Mental Disorders, fifth edition(DSM 5), is A distinct period of
abnormally persistently elevated, expansive, or irritable mood and abnormally
and persistently increased activity or energy, lasting at least 1 week and present
most of the day, nearly every day(or any duration if hospitalization is necessary),
(2015). From the above description of bipolar I disorder, it is apparent that
individuals experiencing manic episodes can utilize or burn most of their energy.
Bipolar I is a mood disorder in which the individual exhibits at least one episode of
mania alternating with major depression for at least one week. The manic episode
may be accompany by
Panic Disorders And Fear
All humans have feelings. One of those feelings is fear. Many are afraid of the
same things. There is a difference between panic disorder and fear, the body will
respond naturally whether it wants to or not. This also affects the blood pressure and
will cause it to change. One of the most common fears is arachnophobia. This is the
fearof spiders. Multiple humans are afraid of them because they are small and
silent. Another fear that is extremely common is ophidiophobia or the fear snakes.
(Kahn, 2008) This particular fear may be caused by the mind saying snakes look
scary and may eat one self. Most people them because they can eat double the size of

Most were older than ten years old and the authors did not use any references dated
within the last five years. The authors did not effectively critique the research used in
the literature review. The review of the literature has an almost biased tone as it
mostly discusses that nurses would like to implement EBP into their practice but they
have many barriers to overcome. Although specific citations were made concerning
relevant information, the authors often used terms like some and many in reference
to findings. In these instances a substantial citation could have been more effective in
depicting the scope of the problem. Within the literature review, the authors did not
discuss the strengths or weakness of the research they used nor did they offer
recommendations for future areas of study.
Framework/Theoretical Perspective
The authors did not explicitly state the theoretical framework used for this study.
Thus authors did not specifically tie the study s variables to the framework nor
was it possible to imply. Learning theory would be a good fit for a study such as
this because it is exploring a subject s attitude toward applying knowledge into
practice and assessing a subject s ability to access resources in order to obtain
knowledge. The nursing discipline requires that nurses take an active role in
continuing education in order to advance nursing practice. This allows for the
implementation of evidence based

American Imperialism In The Early 20th Century
In 1904 at the St. Louis World s Fair there was an exhibit funded by the US
Government to show Americans what life was like in the Philippine colonies.
Unfortunate this exhibition was not accurate representation of people s lives in the
Philippines. They were portrayed as being uncivilized and practitioners of non God
fearing religions, even though many Philippine people converted Roman Catholicism
under Spanish rule. The Government conveyed a distorted representation of the
Philippines to convince Americans that the colonization of the Philippines was not
just for the United Statesbenefit but for the improvement and civilization of the
population of the Philippines.
While there are many reasons behind the United States imperialist endeavors in the
early 20th century, the main justifications were wealth, religion, recognition, and
science. Before the 20th century Americans business believed Americas, economy
could survive while being self sufficient and did not require any international
interaction. But after facing multiple economic depressions in the late 1th century
they came to the realization that interaction in the world s economy could benefit
them economically. After they came to this realization they turned to the United
States government to protect their economic interests abroad, even going as far to use

Foreign Investment And Trade Policy
Foreign Investment and Trade Policy: Brazil can be seen as country that is open
and inviting foreign investments. Brazil remains the top destination for FDI in
the Latin American region and according the A.T. Kearney Foreign Direct
Investment Confidence Index for 2015, Brazil is ranked #6 as a global FDI
destination. FDI inflows into Brazil stood at USD 60.5 billion as on Feb 2015,

Foreign capital must be registered on this system before 30 days of its entry or
customs clearance in the case of goods. Some of the highlights of this policy are:
Besides registration of capital there is no restriction on remittances of capital abroad.
Amounts paid out to foreign shareholders and partners are not taxed. Repatriation of
capital is also tax exempt, subject to the amount not exceeding the original
investment. Foreign investors may invest in Brazilian financial institutions subject
to a few conditions. Brazil s Trade Policy: According to a WTO policy document on
Brazil, Brazil considers the multilateral trading system fundamental to attaining its
development goals based on sustainable and socially inclusive economic growth .
Brazil practices this goal by being an active participant in various international and
regional forums like the WTO, BRICS, and the MERCOSUR. These multi country
organizations aim to facilitate trade between member countries and also help in
achieving common goals. In Brazil the Chamber of Foreign Trade (CAMEX) is
responsible for formulating and implementing the trade policy. All matters related to

The Thoughts Of Brahma And The Creation Of God
The Thoughts of Brahma is one of the creation myths in Hindu scripture that explains
the creation of the world that is Earth today. In this story, Brahma, the Hindu creator
God, re creates the Earth every four ages to bring the Earth to its original condition.
To create beings, Brahma meditates and uses his mind. Brahma s thoughts are then
transformed into beings. To begin inhabiting the world, Brahma starts by creating the
evil or demons, this becomes the darkness. Brahma then creates the good, which
became the light. Afterwards, Brahma begins to create human beings. Brahma then
began thinking strangely, and as a result, horrible creatures were created. Brahma
was so horrified with his actions that all the hairs on his head fell out, and he
mistakenly created ghouls as well. Upon moving on from the dark thoughts, Brahma
was able to create all of the other living things we know today.
In Thoughts of Brahma, the central theme of the story is creation. Whether the
creating is good or evil, this myth focuses on explaining the process on how the
world became what it is today, and how its inhabitants were formed.
The Thoughts of Brahma and the Christian creation stories in the book of Genesis
have similarities and differences (Genesis Chapter 1). In both creation stories, a
divine being creates the world and all of the beings that inhabit it. Some differences
are that in the Christian faith, God takes an active role in up keeping and sustaining
the earth. In the Hindu

The Movie Of The Conjuring
In the movie of The Conjuring, in certain instances it foreshadows a witch which is
considered as a dark presence. This movie poster is effective in introducing or
raising awareness of the way is being presented by telling the readers that this film
is based on a true story and by showing readers that it will have a mysterious person
in search. In the movie, there is a new family of seven, five daughters and their pet
dog that moves into an unfrequented farmhouse which took place in the 70s. Strange
things have been happening to the house as well with the family, they call
investigators to look at the house to find out why weird things have been happening.
The reason for the dark presence, appearance in the house is because someone had
hung themselves at the house so unfortunately the house is haunted without the new
family members being aware of it. The poster for the movie The Conjuring
foreshadows a mysterious dark presence not seen by everyone through the specific
placement of the shadow, the colorscheme, composition and spatial order. To begin,
the writer of The Conjuring implies that this filmis based on a true story. It being
based on something truth that actually happens in real life the audience will be
more aware and will be terrified of watching the movie. As demonstrated on the
movie poster under the title it says Based on the true case files of the warrens all in

Rousseau Social Inequality
To begin, inequality remains an injustice in which society strives to avoid because it
often addresses the definitive distinction between the wealthy, and impoverished,
oppressing those who are slaves to the rich. Rousseau indicates the inequalities of
society when he states, ...Labour became necessary; and boundless forests became
smiling fields, which it was found necessary to water with human sweat; and in
which slavery and misery were soon seen to sprout out and grow with the fruits of
the earth (Rousseau [1761] 2004). Thus, Rousseau indicates how slavery became
essential to human life, and that without the existence of slavery a civil society
would cease to exist. A proper functioning society only exists if there is slavery, and

In their objective to receive justice for an innocent civilian killed, they are
exemplifying the injustices they endure as a minority group. The article states that, ...
Residents are continuing to demand the arrest of the white police officer who shot
dead unarmed black teenager Michael Brown (Goodman, and Gonzalez 2014).
Furthermore, stating that authorities ...Are now asking them for patience and trust
and promising to get to the right answer involving the shooting (Goodman, and
Gonzalez 2014). Thus, the citizens of Ferguson have suffered at the hands of
authorities, and wish to appropriate their voice to extend their disgust for the
mistreatment they tolerate. Furthermore, once protesting begins they are asked for
civility, and patience regardless of the countless times they were neglected of the
same ideals (Goodman, and Gonzalez 2014). Hence, this is identified in both
Rousseau and Burke as evidence concludes that political, and class inequality are
identifying factors in the citizens inability to appropriate their voice (Burke [1790]
2005; Rousseau [1761] 2004). They both maintain the views of an oppressive society,
and that members of the oppressed group the impoverished are driven away from
rational thinking. I believe they enhance the ideals that citizens are unable to think
critically, and must conduct their lives in a manner idealistic to their sovereign in fear
of death, or punishment. Thus, both men present similar arguments relating to the
inability for enlightenment. Citizens who are not of reputable social status are
oppressed, and are unable to raise concerns on aspects that are vital to their lives, thus
resulting in the inability to achieve
The Value Of Art And Art
The ownership of art in 2017 is typically brought up in discussions regarding works
of art with seven to eight digit price tags, owned by individuals with a net worth
that can be described using nine to ten digits. However, popular opinion would
probably agree that the person who has the single greatest appreciation for art is the
art historian. Popular opinion would also be quick to agree that the art historian
does not value a work of art in accordance with the market s appraisal of a given
piece. The art historian s origin is grounded in academia rather than profit margins or
financial ownership.
The art historian s obligation lays in their responsibility to spread the wealth of
knowledge associated with the history of art while also ... Show more content on

However, if art historians were to take a passive stance to art that is at risk of being
destroyed because it is located in an area of geopolitical unrest, then they risk losing
the very subjects that legitimizes their occupational responsibilities. For example, we
have seen that works located in the turbulent sectors of the Middle East have been
wiped out on massive scales. AndrГ© Emrich highlighted the greatest contemporary
tragedy regarding the aforementioned statement in his essay, Improving the Odds:
Preservation through Distribution:
The worst act of barbarity to inaugurate the new millennium was the horrifying
destruction in 2001 by the Taliban and Al Qaeda in Afghanistan of the giant statues of
Buddha at Bamiyan, and the smashing of every piece of figurative art that could be
found in the National Museum. The unprecedented, deliberate destruction has left
nothing but photographs of the art of entire cultural epochs. (source)
Perhaps obvious, but the necessary ethical response to tragedies such as this is to
ensure the best possible chance for the collective preservation of art. Art historians
have no obligatory association with a specific nation or institution, their obligation is
to maintain and develop the narrative of art. This cannot be done if the art they would
like to examine evaporates from history due to rogue extremist human action.
Typically, disputes over repatriation are reserved to those who represent the
respective nations
Comparing the Polygamous Marriges in so Long a Letter
the differences among the polygamous marriages in So Long a Letter.
You think the problem of polygamy is a simple one. Those who are involved
In it know the constraints, the lies, the injustices that weigh down their consciences
In return for the ephemeral joys of change, I am sure you are motivated by love, a
love that existed well before your marriage and that fate has not been able to satisfy.
I think this quotation captures the true essence of the novel and represents the central
conflict. Two of the plot lines in Mariama BГў s So Long a Letter revolve around the
effect of polygamy. The issue of polygamy also remains one of the central issues in
the book. In a letter which is written to her friend Aissatou BГў,Ramatoulaye Fall ...

to satisfy his lust, to fulfill his desire. Through her novel Mariama BГў also exposes
the tendency of men, to offer justifications for even the most unjustifiable acts.
Modou in this case turns to religion he says that god intended him to have a second

Metaphors By Silvia Path
A metaphor is a figure of speech in which a comparison is done by using words that
would normally describe one thing, and apply to describe another. One can normally
find metaphors in songs and poems as well as other instances where artistic writing
might be suggested. In Silvia Path s short poem Metaphors she uses metaphorical
languageto describe what it feels like to be pregnant. Path describes herself as one
big riddle, she proceeds to describe how she feels about her pregnancy with the use
of numerous metaphors, she successfully paints a very distinct picture in the readers
imagination on what she might of looked like while being pregnant. One view is that
metaphors make comparisons, the basis for the comparison being the features (or...

In Macklemores song Can t Hold Us, one can see how the use of a metaphor can
ruin an entire piece of work. In the songs lyrics, the statement So we put our hands
up like the ceiling can t hold us reminisces throughout the song. This obviously
made sense to Macklemore as one can tell by the title of the song. First of all,
ceilings don t hold people and why would you put your hands up if the ceiling can t
hold you. If anything you might want to brace for impact if you re actually standing
on top of a ceiling that can t hold you. In this instance it is likely that the artist tried to
convey that the party or concert is so extravagant and unbelievable that somehow the

My Left Foot By Christy Brown Analysis
Human condition According to doctors, Anxiety disorders are the most common
mental illness in the U.S., affecting 40 million adults in the U.S. age 18 and older,
or 18.1% of the population every year (Facts and Statistics, 2017) Anxiety can be a
bad thing when it does become a disorder, but in small amounts it can be good. It
can be good by warning someone, or reminding them of something. Anxiety is a thing
that makes humans, humans, which makes anxiety part of the human
condition. There are 2 stories that show great amounts of human condition. One
story that displays this is The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini, and the other is My
Left Foot by Christy Brown. The story My Left Foot is a very interesting story

In this story there is lots of human condition, from guilt to anxiety. Both of these
things pertain to human condition. In the story, The Kite Runner, the main
character experiences guilt. When he is talking to his servant, he says, and that s
the thing about people who mean everything they say. They think you do too.
(Hosseini 154) When the main character says this, the guilt that he feels, can be
felt by the reader too. He doesn t have to say I feel guilty because... The guilt can
be felt in the text. As said before, not only is there guilt but there is also anxiety
within the story. Just like in My Left foot, you can also feel the anxiety in the story
The Kite Runner. At the beginning of the story Ashad begins talking about winter
and how there is a break from school. He also talks about how he feels before the
kite race. Ashad says, I felt like a soldier trying to sleep in trenches the night before a
major battle. (Hosseini 151) Just like any other child, the night before something fun
or exciting happens, there is anxiety. You have this feeling in the pit of your stomach,
the feeling of anticipating what s going to happen. During that part of the story, it was
more about being nervous and about doing something fun, but later in the story you
see it become more intense anxiety. Close to end of the story the two boys are joking
around, and then Ashad says something about making his servant eat dirt. At this
moment Ashad gets anxious,
Essay The Best Man For the Job
The Best Man For the Job
I found Othello, the 1995 film, to be a close adaptation of the written play read in
class, but in the part of Othello there are notable variances between the film and the
written play that may be accounted for by the actor s interpretation of Othello.
Through his persona, Lawrence Fishburn portrayed Othello as commanding more
clout in the film than he did in the written play, and Fishburn portrayed Othello as
having less emotional intimacy with Desdemona in the film than he did in the written
play.
When Othello is summoned before the Duke to answer Brabantio s charges of
thievery, he exhibits much clout, as he appears calm and composed in the filmed
version. Fishburn s interpretation of the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When Othello enters the room there is nothing to signify his demeanor in the
written play, but under the circumstances the reader is lead to think that he would
be the least bit nervous since his life is at stake. Further, as Othello address the
Duke in the written play, the reader sees the humbling words: (1) Most potent,
grave, and reverend signiors, My very noble and approved good masters. These
appear to be the words of one in search of mercy from his judges. Furthermore,
when he recounts his history with Desdemona, there is no sign of him walking over
to Brabantio and looking down on him as he speaks of the history. Rather, the reader
is inclined to think that Othello is addressing the Duke directly because he starts
recount by addressing Brabantio as Her Father . Clearly, without the authoritative
tone of Fishburn s voice, the reader is inclined to see Othello in a state of meekness
rather than clout while he recounts his history with Desdemona to the Duke.
While Fishburn portrays Othello as having much clout in the filmed version, he
portrays Othello as having less emotional intimacy with Desdemona. When Othello
rejoins with Desdemona at Cyprus, he gives her a big hug and two long, passionate
kisses, but he doesn t look into her eyes very long before he is off greeting Montano.
Fishburn appears to show more physical intimacy with Desdemona by greeting her

Marilyn Monroe Major Accomplishments
If I d observed all the rules I d never have gone anywhere Marilyn Monroe once
famously said. Over the course of the legacy unit we have learned about various
figures that have left behind their own legacies, good or bad. Then we were tasked
with the job of choosing a single person and doing the research about them. This
was so that later we could write a speech and paper on what we learned and apply the
writing skills we had been working on. Marilyn Monroestood out due to the fact that
she was a good person who struggled with the darker parts of herself progressively
as her life went on. Nevertheless, she still managed to achieve her dreams and inspire
others to attain theirs as well.

Technology vs Organic Essay example
Humanity s timeline illustrates the past, present and future of human beings;
commencing nearly 200,000 years ago when Homo sapiens first diverged from its
ancestors (Evans,1998). For the next 188,000 years humans were content to forge and
live within the constructs of a hunter gatherer societal organization. Approximately
12,000 years ago agricultural systems began appearing in various places around the
world. An astonishingly short period of time later the Agricultural Revolution
transformed human ecology, social organization, demography, culture, and religion
(Fagan: 2007). Man wholeheartedly embraced the sweeping changes bought on by
agricultureand domestication, which definitely proved key to the long run success of

The pronounced change from hunting and gathering to agriculture and domestication
can be simplistically designated the Agricultural or Neolithic Revolution
(Pringle:1998). The catalytic developments of the Neolithic Revolution mark a major
turning point in the history of humankind. The resulting animal and plant
domestication established the foundation on which modern civilization was built.
Agriculture is a uniquely human activity and is perhaps the п¬Ѓrst activity for which
humans developed technology. Technology, understood as the use of farming tools
and techniques, is an indispensable component in agriculture. In the most general
sense, technology permits humans to increase the capture and efficient utilization
of solar radiation that drives primary plant production that is the basis of the human
food and п¬Ѓber chain (Porter, Rasmusen: 2009). The steadfast characterization of
human nature can be viewed as a historical constant, while the prevailing woes and
dilemmas facing humanity can be viewed as a contemporary variable. Similarly to
an algebraic equation, clever manipulation of the variable and constant portion can
lead to discovering the value of the variable or as in the case of humanity; it can
provide valuable insight on complex problems based on the past experiences of
people who are innately

My Father Is My Hero Essay. My Father My Hero Father essay, Hero essay, Essay

  • 1. My Father Is My Hero Essay Writing an essay on the topic of "My Father Is My Hero" can be both emotionally rewarding and challenging. On one hand, the admiration and love for one's father can provide a wealth of material to draw from, making it easier to express gratitude and appreciation for their impact on one's life. However, capturing the essence of this relationship in a coherent and engaging essay requires careful thought and introspection. The difficulty lies in striking the right balance between personal anecdotes, reflections on character traits, and broader themes of heroism and influence. It's essential to convey the unique bond between father and child while also crafting a narrative that resonates with a wider audience. This may involve revisiting memories, grappling with complex emotions, and finding the words to articulate the significance of paternal guidance and support. Additionally, there's the challenge of avoiding clichГ©s and sentimentality, as the topic of parental heroism is a common trope in literature and media. Striving for authenticity and originality is key to creating a compelling essay that truly captures the essence of one's relationship with their father. In conclusion, while writing an essay on the topic of one's father being their hero can be a deeply personal and meaningful endeavor, it also requires careful navigation of emotional complexities and narrative pitfalls. However, the end result can be a powerful tribute to the profound impact of paternal influence on one's life. Similar essays and much more can be ordered on HelpWriting.net. • 2. Red Velvet Waffles Analysis Spicy Buttermilk Fried Chicken and Red Velvet Waffles with Spicy Butter Pecan Syrup If I took one day longer to publish this recipe I know my followers would chew me out! I debuted this Spicy Buttermilk Fried Chicken and Red Velvet Waffles with Butter Pecan Syrup on my Twitter last week and seemed to get pretty good engagement on the pictures. YAY! =) My taste tester thoroughly enjoyed the meal and said they would pay for it in a restaurant sooo I think I have a winner, guys! Who knows, I might actually sell this meal in my future restaurant. Background on Spicy Buttermilk Fried Chicken and Red Velvet Waffles In all honesty, I don t have an elaborate story on how I developed this recipe. I saw a picture of chicken and waffles on a news article ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I was thinking about making a spicy chocolate syrup to play off of the small amount of cocoa powder in the red velvet waffles. I also thought the spicy chocolate syrup would work well with the chicken because, mole. LOL, BUT I know most of my readers have probably never tried chicken mole and would probably write me an email cussing me out for pairing chicken with chocolate! Anyway, I settled on making a spicy butter pecan syrup from scratch. Yes, my loves, we can make syrup in our kitchens! Fear not, I promise it s not very labor intensive. I toasted my pecans for a few minutes then I added them to the syrup (which is just sugar and water) then I added some cayenne pepper, some chipotle powder, some bourbon and of course butter. This syrup is not lacking in the spice department, it will rattle your taste buds. The heat won t overwhelm you so there s no need to worry. Let s Discuss Mother s Day
  • 3. An Analysis Of The Muscular System To begin with, the muscular system basically makes movement. Every step you take, every time you blink your eyes and eve when you swallow food, that is the muscular system doing its job. The muscular system also helps maintain homeostasis by maintaining body temperature which happens when you contract, which is the shortening of a musclewhile pulling against the bones, you are releasing heat which is helping regulate your body temperature. Another job that the muscular system has is maintaining our body s posture. These are some examples of involuntary things that your bones do, meaning that they do it without you personally consciously controlling them. Some examples of voluntary movement, which is when you re consciously controlling it,

Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Often, certain behaviors become more noticeable when comparing children of the same age. In some cases, babies with ASD may seem different very early in their development. Even before their first birthday, some babies become overly focused on certain objects, rarely make eye contact, and fail to engage in typical back and forth play and babbling with their parents. Other children may develop normally until the second or even third year of life, but then start to lose interest in others and become silent, withdrawn, or indifferent to social signals. Loss or reversal of normal development is called regression and occurs in some children with ASD. (National Institute of Mental Health, 2012). According to the Diagnostic and Statistical manual, symptoms include making little eye contact, tendency to look and listen less to people in their environment or failure to respond to other people, do not readily seek to share their enjoyment of toys or activities by pointing or showing things to others, responding unusually when others show anger, distress, or affection. Children with autism spectrum disorders often have difficulty with communication. These symptoms include, failure or slow to respond to their name or other verbal attempts to gain their attention, failure or slow to develop gestures, such as pointing and showing things to others, coo and babble in the first year of life, but then stop doing so, develop language at a delayed pace, learn to communicate
  • 5. Micro Controller At Mega Micro Controller AT Mega 328 In the area of control and automation, the need for some processing unit became indispensable in a wide variety of applications. Among these, microcontrollers stand as a lower cost alternative, satisfactory reliability, simplicity, reduced consumption energy, however, with limited memory capacity and processing. A microcontroller contains a processor, memory access and peripheral input / output. It is a microprocessor that can be programmed for specific functions, in contrast to other general purpose microprocessors (such as those used in PCs). Basically, the use of a microcontroller is in the processing of data from one of your peripherals, with the set of output data. For example, send data via serial port or generate a reaction in system as an LED light. The architecture of a microcontroller generally consists of a core processing, bus and Peripherals: Processing core consists of the data processor (calculations, flow control program, etc.) and administration of peripherals. Bus is divided into data and address, is on the lines of communication between the processor and peripherals. Peripherals characterize the set of features available by the microcontroller and are controlled by the processor. For example, memory, serial port, parallel port and AD converter. Microcontrollers are typically used in automation and control products and peripherals, such as control systems of automotive engines, remote controls, machines, etc.

Sweeney Psychology of Adjustment Introduction I work full time at Dollywood, and attend Walters State, soon to graduate with an Associates in Psychology. I already have a Bachelors Degree in Physics Mathematics from Carson Newman University and have recently been admitted to ETSU in the Fall and will enter a Masters program in Mathematical Sciences. At ETSU I will work as a Graduate Assistant and take a full course load. I feel like managing my time is one of the harder things for me to do. I seem to always be pressed for time. The reason I chose to report on this book was because based upon the title I thought for sure this book would be all about time management. I was wrong. Summary of the Book What is success? What makes a person effective? How do our perceptions affect our world view? Will changing my perceptions make a difference in my attitude toward success? Successful people will always hold these questions in tension as they strive to higher levels of effectiveness and the tension between concerns and influence . Personal effectiveness is much more than learning a few techniques or using the right advisors or self help program. The book moves us toward independence and self improvement in Habits 1 3; teamwork, interdependence and learning how to get our ideas across in Habits 4 6. Lastly, Habit 7 looks at being a lifelong
  • 7. Harbaugh Vs. Michigan Rivalry Analysis It s safe to say college football s Ohio State versus Michigan rivalry was in the doldrums prior to Wolverines head coach Jim Harbaugh s return to his alma mater last year. The Buckeyes have dominated Michigan since the turn of the century, winning 12 of the 14 matchups between the two schools from 2001 2014. With a 10 3 record in his first season as Michigan s head coach, Harbaugh is bringing life back to a rivalry that many consider the best in college football. Because of Harbaugh s return to the school he once quarterbacked for, interest in the Buckeyes and Wolverines rivalry was at its highest in nearly a decade last season. Yet, Ohio State continued its dominance over Michigan as Buckeyes head coach Urban Meyer welcomed Harbaugh to the rivalry with a 42 13 beatdown in Ann Arbor, Mich. Meyer has revived one of college football s elite programs since he accepted the Buckeyes head coaching duties in 2012, totaling 50 wins ... He parlayed that prosperity into a Super Bowl appearance as the San Francisco 49ers head coach in 2013, proving that his elite coaching skills translate to any level. With that success comes the clout that has allowed Harbaugh to compete within college football s most important landscape, the recruiting arena. College football s National Signing Day commenced Wednesday, further highlighting Harbaugh s impact on the recruiting trail. According to seemingly every outlet (ESPN, Rivals, 247Sports, Scout.com), Harbaugh has branded Michigan with a top 10 recruiting class in 2016. Harbaugh s biggest splash of the day was the commitment of No. 1 overall prospect Rashan Gary, a defensive tackle from New Jersey that was at the top of just about every player rankings
  • 8. Nonpossessive Warmth Research Paper is a very important aspect in counseling, especially when dealing with adolescents. The key to nonpossessive warmth is acceptance. It is an attitude that does not evaluate or require change; it simply accepts the thoughts, feelings and actions of the client (Clinton Ohlschlager, 2003). Adolescents want to be heard and to feel as if the people around them care and accept them for who they are. It is very important for counselors to make each client feel important and make sure they know that they matter. When adolescents feel as if they matter and that they are important, they will open up to the counselor making it easier to work through problems and the search of who they are. Adolescents are always searching for who they

  • 10. The Sound Devices Used Within the Tyger by William Blake Where the Sleeping Tyger Lies: An Analysis of the Sound Devices Used in The Tyger by William Blake The Tyger, written in 1974, is one of both simplicity and mystery. Within this poem written by old English William Blake, there are 13 full questions within this short 24 line work. Though many literary analysts have attempted to forge a meaning from this work, not one theme has a more correct stance than any of the others. One clear symbol within the piece is the Tyger, who represents some form of evil entity, quite possibly Satan himself. One possibility for the theme is that the poet is questioning why God would create such an evil being. This can be exemplified in the first stanza and last stanzas, where the word could is changed to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Alliteration is used quite frequently in Blake s work, and is apparent in nearly all of the stanzas. Some clear examples of this sound device are burning bright (1) or distant deeps (5). These alliterations only further add to the hint at a prayer like state of the poem, but also go on to help the poem have a smoother rhythm and flow. They are evident throughout the entire piece, and do tend to get quite a bit repetitive at times, but are always used effectively and to put strong emphasis on whatever is being alliterated. These alliterations point more directly towards the specific ideas mentioned earlier, and are Blake s stabs at again creating a larger focus on the words selected. This is can be easily compared to highlighting words read aloud, as the audience and reader will take mental notes of them as they are spoken, and refer back to them when questioning the idea and theme of the poem. Though both assonance and consonance are not completely un evident in the piece, they are never used to convey any form of meaning or to add any depth to the piece, but rather they both blend to help the writing have smoother flow and not seem as choppy as it would without these sound devices. Because of this, these don t particularly focus on anything to help convey any specific
  • 11. The New Jim Crow By Michelle Alexander Essay In the book The New Jim Crow author Michelle Alexander argues that a racial caste system still exists in the United States. Furthermore, this caste system is set up by the social control that is created by the discriminatory practices of the War on Drugs. The War on Drugs and mass incarcerations create a racial undercaste of African Americans, by marginalizing ex offenders in America. Within her arguments she describes the racist practices of, and policies surrounding, the War on Drugs. These extend from the policeforce on the ground, who are apprehending the criminals or, in many cases, innocent people, all the way to the practices of prosecuting and sentencing of these people. There are many instances where the injustices extend all the way to the Supreme Court. However, that may not be surprising given the fact that the War on Drugs is a federal government institution. This racism, while inherent, is not always apparent. In this paper I will assess the broken practices that the War on Drugs implements, including mass incarceration, and how racism is the basis for these practices. However, while it does show that racism does exist in these practices, Alexander doesn t necessarily show that racism is the reason behind the War on Drugs and mass incarceration, but rather a by product. Racism is the main theme that you see throughout the whole book. Alexander begins her narrative with a history of racism in this country. Beginning with the inception of slavery in the

Security Threats of E-Commerce INTRODUCTION E commerce, which is simply the system of transacting business through the use of electronic and digital media as the computer and mobile devices, has become not just a necessary but also an effective means of global economic development. The astronomical growth of interconnectivity through the computer network (I.e., internet) has made e commerce a veritable tool for quick business relationships to be formed without any form of physical contact. At the click of the mouse, business transactions ranging from banking, shopping and all manner of trading are carried out by millions of internet users on a daily basis. The goods can be physical goods, such as books, equipments or CDs, or electronic goods, such as electronic documents, images, or music. Similarly, there are traditional services, such as hotel or flight booking, as well as electronic services, such as financial market analyses in electronic form. E payment systems are not a novel idea. Electronic money has been used between banks in the form of funds transfer since 1960. For nearly as long, customers have been able to withdraw money from ATMs (automatic teller machines), and the use of credit cards has also become increasingly common since then. Credit Cards Credit cards are currently the most popular payment instrument on the Internet. The first credit cards were introduced decades ago (Diner s Club in 1949, American Express in 1958). For a long time, credit cards have been produced with magnetic stripes containing unencrypted, read only information. Today, more and more cards are smart cards containing hardware devices (chips) offering encryption and far greater storage capacity. Recently even virtual credit cards (software digital or e wallets) are gaining progressive patronage. Typically, the customer gives his credit cardinformation (i.e., issuer, expiry date, number) to the merchant. The merchant asks the acquirer bank for authorization. The acquirer bank sends a message over the interbank network to the issuer bank asking for
  • 13. Paper On The Last Supper As we near the end of the semester, it is important to reflect back on what was discussed and learned. We have viewed many pieces of work over the last few months including relatively old pieces as well as modern ones. With everything in life, one will develop their personal opinion on the matter. With that being said, I have chosen two pieces of work to contemplate: one being positive and one being negative. There were many pieces throughout the semester that I could develop a positive or even a negative response to, however, the following are my top two pieces in each aspect. The painting is absolutely beautiful in terms of visual aspects. Leonardo used a one point perspective to effectively accentuate the center of the painting, which is most obviously Jesus Christ. Not only does he put the vanishing point at Christ s head, but he creates a triangle with his body that no other object overlaps. He uses contrast to light up the middle of the painting while making the edges much darker. All of these create a powerful image of Jesus. Not only do I like the painting for it s beautiful visual aspects but it s emotional beauty. It doesn t necessarily make me sad. It more so opens my eyes to the reality of the story. The painting was designed to be different from the previous depictions of the last supper. Leonardo has given his take on the psychology of each of the figures in the painting. The emotions of each of the apostles is overwhelming and ultimately give off the affect of a subtle chaos due to the fact that Christ has just told them one of them will betray him.

The title of the third meditation is The Fire Sermon ; Buddhists will recognize this title from a sermon given by Buddha himself; Eliot notes for his Christian readers that it measures in importance as Jesus Sermon on the Mount. In this sermon, Buddha describes everything as being on fire, and he explains everything as the eye and all it sees, the ear and all it hears, the nose and all it smells, the tongue and all it tastes, the body and all it feels, and the mind including all of which it is conscious; and whatever sensation, pleasant, unpleasant, or indifferent, originates in dependence on impressions received by [these organs], that also is on fire (Warren, 352). For some people, this can be extremely traumatic and can be hard to push forward to reach the end goal of a healthy sense of self. Although some may argue that reclamation does more harm than good to a person, Kornfield and I disagree. Kornfield believes that a person has to push through all of the hardships in order to have a healthy sense of self and in the end the person will feel much better. In view of the unpredictability or lability that individuals with BD may exhibit and the consequences of their behaviors, it is worthwhile to consult the literatures for more details about the disorder. In this story, Brahma, the Hindu creator God, re creates the Earth every four ages to bring the Earth to its original condition. To create beings, Brahma meditates and uses his mind. Brahma s thoughts are then transformed into beings. To begin inhabiting the world, Brahma starts by creating the evil or demons, this becomes the darkness. Brahma then creates the good, which became the light. Afterwards, Brahma begins to create human beings. Brahma then began thinking strangely, and as a result, horrible creatures were created. Brahma was so horrified with his actions that all the hairs on his head fell out, and he mistakenly created ghouls as well. Upon moving on from the dark thoughts, Brahma was able to create all of the other living things we know today. In Thoughts of Brahma, the central theme of the story is creation. Whether the creating is good or evil, this myth focuses on explaining the process on how the world became what it is today, and how its inhabitants were formed. The Thoughts of Brahma and the Christian creation stories in the book of Genesis have similarities and differences (Genesis Chapter 1). In both creation stories, a divine being creates the world and all of the beings that inhabit it. • 59. Marilyn Monroe Major Accomplishments If I d observed all the rules I d never have gone anywhere Marilyn Monroe once famously said. Over the course of the legacy unit we have learned about various figures that have left behind their own legacies, good or bad. Then we were tasked with the job of choosing a single person and doing the research about them. This was so that later we could write a speech and paper on what we learned and apply the writing skills we had been working on. Marilyn Monroestood out due to the fact that she was a good person who struggled with the darker parts of herself progressively as her life went on. Nevertheless, she still managed to achieve her dreams and inspire others to attain theirs as well. On June 1, 1926 Norma Jeane Mortenson was born in Los ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 60. Technology vs Organic Essay example Humanity s timeline illustrates the past, present and future of human beings; commencing nearly 200,000 years ago when Homo sapiens first diverged from its ancestors (Evans,1998). For the next 188,000 years humans were content to forge and live within the constructs of a hunter gatherer societal organization. Approximately 12,000 years ago agricultural systems began appearing in various places around the world. An astonishingly short period of time later the Agricultural Revolution transformed human ecology, social organization, demography, culture, and religion (Fagan: 2007). Man wholeheartedly embraced the sweeping changes bought on by agricultureand domestication, which definitely proved key to the long run success of agriculture and... The pronounced change from hunting and gathering to agriculture and domestication can be simplistically designated the Agricultural or Neolithic Revolution (Pringle:1998). The catalytic developments of the Neolithic Revolution mark a major turning point in the history of humankind. The resulting animal and plant domestication established the foundation on which modern civilization was built. Agriculture is a uniquely human activity and is perhaps the п¬Ѓrst activity for which humans developed technology. Technology, understood as the use of farming tools and techniques, is an indispensable component in agriculture. In the most general sense, technology permits humans to increase the capture and efп¬Ѓcient utilization of solar radiation that drives primary plant production that is the basis of the human food and п¬Ѓber chain (Porter, Rasmusen: 2009). The steadfast characterization of human nature can be viewed as a historical constant, while the prevailing woes and dilemmas facing humanity can be viewed as a contemporary variable. Similarly to an algebraic equation, clever manipulation of the variable and constant portion can lead to discovering the value of the variable or as in the case of humanity; it can provide valuable insight on complex problems based on the past experiences of people who are innately
