The document discusses feedback received at various stages of creating a horror film. It includes:
- Conducting a survey to learn what type of victim, weapon, and setting audiences preferred, which informed the film's creation.
- Researching other horror films to understand conventions and what audiences want to watch, finding people prefer films set in family homes.
- Getting feedback on the film poster that most could identify it was for a horror film but did not make the link to the film's séance theme obvious.
- Limited feedback on the film review but suggestions to make it more visually engaging by adding an additional image.
Synthetic Fiber Construction in lab .pptxPavel ( NSTU)
Synthetic fiber production is a fascinating and complex field that blends chemistry, engineering, and environmental science. By understanding these aspects, students can gain a comprehensive view of synthetic fiber production, its impact on society and the environment, and the potential for future innovations. Synthetic fibers play a crucial role in modern society, impacting various aspects of daily life, industry, and the environment. ynthetic fibers are integral to modern life, offering a range of benefits from cost-effectiveness and versatility to innovative applications and performance characteristics. While they pose environmental challenges, ongoing research and development aim to create more sustainable and eco-friendly alternatives. Understanding the importance of synthetic fibers helps in appreciating their role in the economy, industry, and daily life, while also emphasizing the need for sustainable practices and innovation.
We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.

The Art Pastor's Guide to Sabbath | Steve ThomasonSteve Thomason
What is the purpose of the Sabbath Law in the Torah. It is interesting to compare how the context of the law shifts from Exodus to Deuteronomy. Who gets to rest, and why?
This is a presentation by Dada Robert in a Your Skill Boost masterclass organised by the Excellence Foundation for South Sudan (EFSS) on Saturday, the 25th and Sunday, the 26th of May 2024.
He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements. He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.
The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.

1. What have you learnt from audience feedback?
The first set of audience feedback I received was back when I was doing my research and
planning and I underwent a questionnaire finding out what people wanted to see in a horror
movie. The way in which I gathered this information was on a website called ‘survey
monkey’. Survey monkey allows people to create free questionnaires which they can then
give to the public to answer. From participating in this exercise it enabled me to choose who
I would want to be targeted and what the weapon choice would be. This was constructive
feedback and it helped me create my film.
Film
The research I did before creating my actual film was vital. This research informed me on
what was needed to complete my horror film and the different conventions it followed. By
me doing different research into different horror films it allowed me to understand what
was needed to create a great horror film. Another reason I did research on horror films was
so that I could understand what people wanted to watch. The way in which I did this was by
creating a questionnaire which asked questions such as who they preferred to be the victim,
what weapon they would like to see and also things down to why they actually watched
horror movies. From doing this I discovered that people watched horror movies to become
scared however they enjoy horror films more when they are set in a ‘family home’s which is
why I conformed to the needs of my demographic audience and created my film in a ‘family
house’.
Poster
Strengths
Looking through my questionaries’ that I received from the premiere night shows that
practically 80% of the audience thought it was scary and that it worked them up for the
movie. From the dark colours and the fierce eye the audience also said that they were able
to tell it was a horror poster straight away.
Weaknesses
Unfortunately not a lot of my audience made the link from the eye with candles to the
séance until after the movie had been shown and they could actually see the candles. Most
of the people as well said that even though the poster was to excellent quality the link was
not made obvious and that’s what I could improve on.
Improvements
An improvement I could make on my poster was by making the link between my poster and
movie more obvious that way it doesn’t leave people wondering what it relates to.
2. Review
Unfortunately I did not receive a lot of feedback on my review. The only feedback I received
was off my teachers and parents. The feedback however contributed to the way I edited my
poster and made appropriate changes. Once I had made the appropriate changes I asked
five members of my media class to give me feedback on my review and 4 of them said that
it was a very well structured review being easy to read and interesting at the same time
however one person said that there was too much writing and I should have included
another image to make it more exciting. An improvement I think I could make from this
feedback is to add an extra image for example the poster in the corner near the verdict box.
