The document discusses feedback received on a student film project from its audience on Facebook. The feedback informed improvements and identified what worked well, such as different camera angles. Suggestions were also made on how to improve elements like having the attacker die as a plot twist. Through receiving audience feedback, the students learned how to better make videos in the future, especially the importance of considering how the audience will perceive and understand the media text.
What have you learned from your audience feedback?
Why does the film industry spend so much time and money test screening films to invited audiences or finding out what audiences like through market research?
Who are your audience? Justify this with reference to your primary and secondary audience research.
At what stages did you ask your audience questions or get their feedback?
How did you get this feedback?
How did you use this feedback? Was it useful? Did you make any changes to your work because of it?
What does the final audience feedback suggest about the success of your marketing campaign?

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

The Art Pastor's Guide to Sabbath | Steve ThomasonSteve Thomason
What is the purpose of the Sabbath Law in the Torah. It is interesting to compare how the context of the law shifts from Exodus to Deuteronomy. Who gets to rest, and why?
We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.

2. During the production of our movie we asked for feedback on what we had done
so far. We got feedback which informed us on how to improve our film as well as
letting us know about what we done well. This can be seen in our ‘construction’
part of our blog.
3. Post-Production
After we finished the production of our media
products we wanted to know what our audience
liked about it, what they weren’t to keen on and
what we could improve on. We posted our film on
Facebook so that we can get feedback on it from a
variety of people. Facebook was a good way to get
the feedback as it is a social media site that is used
on a daily basis. This way we could also reach out to
more than one group of people. The majority of the
audience are within our target audience of 15+
The genre of the film was identified by the audience
which meant that we followed the codes and
conventions of a horror/ parody well enough to
recognize the genre.
4. We also asked for things that we can
improve on (constructive criticism)
so that if we were to do it again then
we could improve the production of
the media film.
The different camera angles were
pointed out quite a lot which the
audience thought was good, we
were really pleased about that.
I got a comment on the story line. It
was suggested that the attacker
should’ve died as a plot twist as its
not expected.
5. Uses and Gratification theory performs one of the following: Educate, Identify,
Entertain or Social Interaction.
Through the Uses and Gratification Theory I believe that the audience get
entertainment and humour from our film. This theory asks ‘what does the
media to people’ instead of ‘what do people do with the media’. Some
individuals watch films and integrate the narrative or the storyline to their
own lives and see how the characters would deal with certain things.
6. I am pleased with the feedback we received from the group of people within
our target audience who we showed our video to. The majority of the
comments were really positive.
I feel that through the process of receiving feedback on our film we have
learned a lot about how to make videos in the future and what are the main
aspects in film. The main thing that I have learned is that during the research
and planning stage you should know in your head how you want your video
to look like and techniques you will use to achieve this look (including things
like lighting and camera movements) but what you need to consider is how
the audience will read the media text and how they will perceive it.
