The document provides an overview of the website created for the fictional artist Josie Nelson. 1. Website Overview

2. Header and Footer The header and footer of the website stays the same on every page.
The font of the site name
and menu bar are the
same and it’s the same
font that’s used on the
digipak.
For the menu bar I decided to
have 5 different pages:
Home, News, Music, Videos
and Contact. These are used
on the majority of music acts
websites.
I have included a link to
Josie Nelsons Spotify. It
also allows the audience
to play the music whilst
they are on the website.
The music that is played
is the EP that Josie Nelson
has out.
On the footer I have also included a link to
where the audience can download Josie
Nelson’s EP on iTunes.
On the right hand side of the
footer I have included links to
all of Josie Nelson’s social
media sites. This includes:
Youtube, Facebook, Twitter,
Instagram and Google+. When
the audience clicks on the
icon it will take them directly
to that social media account.
To make the footer I had to research into Josie Nelson’s social accounts. I also had to obtain links for all of them.

3. On my home page I
have included an
image of the front
cover of my digipak.
By doing this it is
advertising the
product.
The home page is
the first page that
the audience see
and so it will be the
first thing that they
will see.
Home Page
The background of
my home page is a
picture that I took
during filming of the
beach location. I did
originally have a
background that was
already on wix,
however I think that
this one looks better
and is more fitted for
my website. The
background stays the
same on each of the
different pages.

4. News Page
On the news page I have
included a Facebook live
stream of Josie Nelsons
Facebook page. By
including this it gives a
more personal feel for
the audience.
They can get updates on
what Josie has been up
to and also find out up
and coming events and
other things that she is
doing.
On the right hand side of the
news page I have included
information about Josie
Nelson.
By including this it means
that the audience can find
out a bit more about her.
Also on the information, I
have included events that
Josie Nelson has played at
and also other things that
she will be up to later in the
year.
In order to write this I had to
do some research into the
artist. I didn’t want to make
up something as I wanted
the website to be as real as
possible.

5. Music Page
The EP that I have included on
this page is the real EP that Josie
Nelson has bought out. I found
this out when I downloaded the
song for my music video. I have
also included a link to iTunes
where the EP can be bought and
downloaded.
I have also included
some of Josie Nelson’s
other original songs.
With these I have
hyperlinked them and
when they are clicked on
it will open up a video
from Josie Nelsons
Youtube account of her
singing the song.
These songs are also the
ones that are on the
digipak that I made and
there are also some
additional original songs.
At the bottom of the page I have
included a link to Josie Nelson’s
Youtube account for the
audience to listen to her other
songs. This is a way of promoting
Josie Nelson.

6. Video Page
On the video page I
have included the
music video that I
have created.
This is another form
of advertising that I
have done.
By including the
music video on the
website it helps to
keep the corporate
identity.
According to the
designs that I had
made in the early
stages of the
planning, I had
planned to
include more on
this page.
I had planned to
add existing
videos from Josie
Nelson’s Youtube
account.
However when
making this I
decided that I
didn’t want to
include this.

7. Contact Page
On the contact
page of my
website I have
included an
image of my
actor.
This image is the
same one as the
back cover of my
digipak.
For the audience to
be able to get in
contact with the
artist I have
created a contact
form.
On this form the
audience have to
fill out their name,
email, subject and
a message.

8. Mobile Site
The mobile site contains the
same information but has a
slightly different layout.
