Wiki-- A wiki is the definitive Web 2.0 application, as wikis allow users to share information on community pages. Wiki literally means "fast." A wiki is designed to be a fast way for people to share information by creating content on a page, sharing it with others in a group and allowing them to edit or add content on the same wiki page. There are hundreds of wiki hosts available to teachers for use in the classroom. Podcast-- Like a blog, a classroom podcast is a collection of comments on a topic, but a classroom podcast is audio commentary. A classroom podcast can be an instrument that a teacher uses to share information with students and parents, or the classroom podcast can be a platform for students to share information about a lesson or assignment. Like a blog, a podcast can be syndicated so listeners can subscribe to the podcast using a service like iTunes or PodBean.

Unlike web 2.0, 1.0 has less of a technical collaboration and relies on downloadable content from the outside in the form of a hard drive. Web 1.0 is a singular, information web. A perfect example of web 1.0 is Microsoft. Web 2.0 is . . . Web 2.0 is a commutative web base, with the information still provided. Web 2.0 has a more accessible web sites and a more accessible web base for communicating over the internet. 2.0 webs also are great for downloadable apps and extensions over the web. Great examples would be Facebook, Google Apps, and Twitter.

15. What is cloud computing?--Nick Cloud computing is a technology that uses the internet and remote servers to maintain data and applications. Also cloud computing allows pretty much anyone to use applications. An example of this is yahoo or Gmail. You don't need software or a server to use them either. You just need a internet connection to send emails. The server and email management software is all the cloud (internet) is totally managed by the cloud service provider (ex. Google).
