The WAM-V is an unmanned surface vessel that is well-suited for coastal and remote surveillance and monitoring applications. It has a wave-adaptive hull that absorbs vibrations from waves like tires on a car. The WAM-V is also modular, allowing quick payload changes, can pick up and deliver payloads like a helicopter, can fold up to reduce its footprint by 75% for shipping, is stable and maneuverable, and comes in different sizes to match applications. Several variants have been introduced and by 2014, WAM-Vs will be operating in 5 countries.
