GREENLINK SYSTEMS
On-Board Emission Self-Reporting
For Ocean Vessels
GREENLINK SYSTEMS
Our vision for the maritime industry is that all engines on all
large vessels will have emissions monitoring devices that will
self-report their status and compliance so that the industry can
take a leadership position in sustainability and environmental
protection.
GreenLink Systems is introducing the world’s first commercial
Emissions Testing Unit that can perform ISO 8178 emissions
in-use testing on board a vessel. GreenLink Systems has
reduced a room-sized set of laboratory equipment into a
compact ETU that can be placed inside a vessel and moved
about on board. The state of the art unit measures all eight
required gaseous emissions.
Encased in a special enclosure for
transfer to a ship, it contains a
portable sample probe, heated
sample line, additional cooling,
advanced sample cooling as well
as power and grounding designed
specifically for field conditions on
board an ocean going vessel.
The ETU is integrated into a GPS-
enabled on-board server for data
logging and uploading to a secure
web-based repository. The
emissions data collected is sent to
our servers for permanent storage
and online analysis and alerts.

GreenLink Systems has created its
solutions exactly as required in the
regulations set forth by the IMO,
US EPA and California Air
Resources Board. This approach is
both novel and unique. Marrying
this state of the art technology to
Cloud-based computing brings a
whole new level of monitoring and
reporting to the industry. Now
vessels with scrubbers, SCR
systems and other sustainability
solutions can accurately measure
and report their compliance 24
hours a day, anywhere in the world.
