Done by Group: Wakrag_black8 School: Al Wakra Independent School for Girls Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells (DSSC) Module: The students study the concept of using dyes to plant dyes to capture the solar energy to convert it into electrical energy simulating the natural process “photosynthesis”. They use the workshop-gained knowledge in DSSC to invent new products. The project consists of using two dyes. Then, it demonstrates the ides of powering the cameras using theses dyes,

20. 1-investigating photosynthesis in plants disks :we concluded
from that plants dye absorb all colors except green because it
reflects green
2- separating leaf pigment using paper chromatography : we
concluded from this experiment that leaves have more than one
pigment to absorb light
3- Measuring a solar cells performance: we concluded from
this activity that an average solar cell uses 10% of solar energy
that it gets
4- making a dye sensitized solar cell: we concluded from this
project that we can create a solar cell using a plant dye

:and all of this activities have led us to conclude that we can
maximize solar energy absorption in dssc by using leaf
pigments

21. Since Doha is one of the leading countries in
tourism we have decided to add a slight fun
change that we think would make a huge
influence on tourists.
So our idea is to place a camera powered by
solar cells. The cameras location will be chose
carefully depending on most visited attraction
area. (e.x museum of Islamic art).
