The Ethics of Using Corn or Rice to Make Fuel
Food and energy are the main issues that were mentioned the most in 21st century. The world
population has reached over seven billion by the time we are writing this essay (Worldometers, 2014).
It means that the amount of food and energy consumed will be rising promptly. We do not know
whether people would choose food crops or fuel crops to satisfy their needs, but from our point of
view, producing ethanol by corn and rice is good for all economy, environment and social benefits.
First, producing ethanol from corn or rice is really economic. The first benefit of corn based ethanol
would be on agriculture and industry. Corn is cheap and easy to produce domestically; therefore,
producers do not need to import raw material from foreign countries. Consequently, ethanol price will
be lower in comparison with other energy like oil or gas. It will lead to cheaper transportation costs by
using bio fuels. More importantly, transportations relate to every field of the economy, so lower price
of transportation will bring more profits to the whole economy. Besides, price of corn also creep up
since high demands of corn that impulse the planters income and creating more jobs for farmers. In
addition, when the government supports for corn production on a concentrated area, maize agriculture
will be more productive and effective than before. Both consumers and producers can earn profits and
that amount of profits will contributes significantly to the nation s GDP growth. Thus, if we merge

Self Reliance By Emerson
In Emerson essay Self Reliance he demonstrates that people should be relying on themselves because
everyone is different and thinks differently. Emerson believes our heart will feel strongly that which
we should be doing. Emerson suggests that people that people be happy with themselves and do what
and do what makes them happy because we don t then we will be filled with regret. Then Emerson
shows that being a person that relies on themselves will bring that person into happiness; however, if
all a person does is just copy and be jealous over others that person will not be happy which Emerson
says succinctly envy is ignorance. Then Emerson goes on to say it is easy in solitude to live after our

Message To Messengers
on one s life. Another Heron song that is rooted in his personal life, while also mainly associating with
social issues is Message to Messengers.
In his album Spirits, published in 1994, Heron created a lengthy masterpiece in the form of his poetic
style song, Message to the Messengers. In this famous piece, Heron talks about many social problems
that African Americans face in modern society. The most significant quote that sums up the entire
song is when Heron states, Sometimes they tell lies and put em in a truthful disguise/ But the truth is
that s why we said it wouldn t be televised. Referring to his earlier song, The Revolution Will Not Be

Patterson Hood, the lead singer of Drive By Truckers, wrote What It Means a few years ago in protest
of the Ferguson shooting of Trayvon Martin. To Hood s disappointment, in addition to the
disappointment of millions, the song is still incredibly appropriate in today s society. In Killer Mike s
Reagan, Killer Mike does not only blame Reagan for the atrocities of society, but includes the
administrations that follow in both H.W. and George Bush, Bill Clinton, and even Barack Obama. The
point that both artists are trying to get across is that the idea of social and racial injustice is ever
common today as it was in some of the worst times in American history. The only difficulty in seeing
the issues that plague society is that the knowledge of the average citizen is clouded by false
information stimulated by politics. To find the truth in the corruption of society, it is up to each citizen
of the country to address the notions that There s no sunlight in our ass and our heads are stuck up in
it, or if we Will ever do it big, or just keep settling for lil shit? In other words, everyone needs to start
thinking about the truth with an intuitive, logical perspective as opposed to what politics are feeding
the public. Also, if people want change, they cannot settle for small victories, they need to enact
drastic actions to witness notable changes. An

Industrial Emissions And Its Effects On Human Health And...
1. Introduction Industrial emissions are a major sources of air pollution, and thus responsible for
numerous deleterious effects on a human health and environment caused by photochemical smog, acid
rain, and resultant degradation of ecosystems and bio diversity. Ontario s SO2 emissions are
predominantly around 65 percent from industrial sources including non ferrous smelting. The major
environmental concerns associated with smelting are energy consumption, releases of sulphur dioxide
and particulate matter to air, and the generation of residues, such as slag and captured dust
(Environment Canada, 2006). In this paper, the policies and regulation that were implemented by the
United Nations Convention to reduce the amount of SO2 ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
2. SO2 Pollution Effects around Sudbury Today the Sudbury region is known for mining and
production of nickel, as it is located just off the Canadian Shield region that holds a vast nickel
reserves. Throughout the early 20th century, many mining and smelting venture such as Inco and
Falconbridge were created to take advantage of the growing nickel industry. Both are these companies
used a smelting process called heap roasting method to extract the nickel from the ore. However,
Smelting process is the one main source of the sulphur fumes which caused acid rain (Buhr, 1998).
This results from nickel production itself, where there is 8 more times of sulphur oxides particulate in
the ore than actual nickel (Crawford, 1994). At the beginning of this century, the amount of SO2
released into the atmosphere weren t much of a concern since the nickel output was considerably
small. It later became a problem as the demand for nickel production was gradually increasing
(Crawford, 1994). Up till the 1970 s, the Smelting industry in the Sudbury region was one of the
largest metal producing complexes in the world, which meant that it also release a massive amount of
Sulphur and metal particulates into the environment. By the 1960 s, the smelting site in Sudbury was
one of the largest point source of SO2 emission releasing thousands of tons of metal particulates from
the smelters as graph 1 displays. (Keller, Heneberry Gunn, 1999). As more ground level of sulphur

The On The Soil Lacks For Life On Mars Essay
The soil lacks in nutrients. Therefore, greenhouses would have to be built and constructed in a way
that the plants can adapt to the environment in almost a similar way to Earth. This would allow the
plants to grow on Mars and over some time, create food for life on Mars. To have this greenhouse on
Mars it would help grow plants for food, recycling and for replenishing the air. The main disadvantage
to easily growing plants on Mars is the low atmospheric pressure that would make the plants act as if
they are quickly drying out and dying. To get around this issue on Mars, we would have to be able to
control the air pressure in the greenhouse. Scientists have stated that A hydroponics system allows the
plants to grow without soil, while artificial light ensures the plants are able to grow efficiently .
The food planted needs to have enough nutrients in its roots to be able to grow and have enough
nutrients for humans to survive. For human survival, we would have to plant enough plants for some
to be used as creating oxygen in the atmosphere and the edible portion to our nutrition. This would
keep us healthy on Mars and be able to survive. Surprisingly enough, the Martian soil contains
nutrients that is even more nourished than some of Earth s soils. This means that the soil doesn t lack
any nutrients to grow food, it is the excessive volume of Perchlorate chemicals which would cause
adverse effects on a human s health. On Mars, as the plant grows, it starts to absorb the

Have you ever stopped to wonder how modern technology has shaped our society, and where it will
lead our future of social interaction? Have you ever been sitting and listening to the news, when you
hear a new story on yet another book being banned for some petty reason, such as protection of
children s innocence or offensive content ? Have you thought about where such things will take us and
our changing, evolving definition of socializing? If you belong with those who contemplate things,
who turn things over in their minds, who don t allow themselves to use ignorance as a shield from
difficult, complex thinking, you may have answered yes . Knowledge, wisdom, and logical reasoning

Oh, to scratch that itch, eh? Well, Montag, take my word for it, I ve had to read a few in my time, to
know what I was about, and the books say nothing! Nothing you can teach or believe. ... You come
away lost. (Bradbury 59) He explains that the words in books do not seem to be of any value, and that
reading them gives the reader not a speck of insight into any aspect of life. In this society, his words
ring true for almost everyone, except those who managed to learn before the schools shut down and
those who yearned to understand what books say. Furthermore, Beatty s attempts to force Montag into
the mold of this society pushes the man to search for wisdom in the depths of literature. Beatty spurs
Montag to delve into the world of literature. He dares the man to defy him in an almost mocking tone
such as here: We d certainly miss you if you didn t show. (60) Here he implies that if Montag does not
show up to burn his book, it will not be good news for him. Beatty is a strict man always following
and enforcing the rules, seldom deviating from them, and is a man of his word. He knows Montag is
hiding something, which he intuitively guesses is a book, and he promises indirectly that he will be
back to burn down the man s house if he does not bring it in within twenty four hours. Afraid of losing
his one chance of learning, he frantically vows to try to memorize a part of the Bible he stole from the
woman who committed suicide. The mere suggestion of the fire captain

to generate additional value. The first thing is to notice is that Stagecoach s profitability ratios are
significantly higher than that of First group across all measures, which can reflect the ability to
generate profit. Since First group is the biggest transport company in the UK, the scale of First group
is much larger than that Stagecoach s, the total revenue of First group in the year 2013/14 is twice
more than Stagecoach s. Meanwhile, the operating profit margin is higher than First group which

The Successful Process Of Mummification In The Ancient Egypt
Mummification, also known as embalming, is the process of preserving human remains. It began
during the Second Dynasty. The purpose of mummification was to keep the body intact. Belief in an
eternal afterlife was very important to Ancient Egyptians. Bodies were mummified to prepare for this
afterlife. This process was not only done to preserve the body, but to create a new one that could last
during this eternal afterlife. Mummification was an expensive process; therefore it was mostly done by
wealthy people as poor people could not always afford to do it. Wealthy people would use fresh linen
and bandages to wrap the deceased while poorer people who still wished to embalm the deceased
would use papyrus texts to wrap the body. This was one of the ... Show more content on

The internal organs would be the first to decompose so they were removed first. It is a popular belief
that their brains were removed through their nostrils. The Ancient Egyptians believed the brain to be
useless, and that the main thinking organs were the heart and the liver. The heart was not removed
from the body for this reason, as well as the belief that it controlled intellect and memory. A specialist
would make a cut on the left side of the body to take out the necessary organs. The lungs, liver,
stomach, and intestines were removed thereafter. The organs were then washed and soaked in natron.
They bandaged the organs and placed them in canopic jars. The canopic jars were believed to be

Health Education In Victoria Is Designed To Aid Young People
Health education in Victoria is designed to aid young people in improving their own health, and the
health of others (Wright, 2014). With such a broad goal, there is great emphasis placed on the teaching
methods used to achieve this outcome. The approach for teaching health has changed substantially
over time with new emerging ideas on what is the best way for students to view health. In fact, the
latest modification to health education was introduced this year. Therefore, this paper s intention is to
illustrate the role of health education in society, how health education has been altered in the past,
what the new curriculum involves and critique these changes by discussing the implications upon

Leger, 2006). In 1973, the Educational Department proposed six new areas that they wanted to
incorporate into the curriculum: pre driver education, international education, work experience, health
education, community education and human problems. Included in the proposal was the recognition
that teachers required more skill and knowledge to be able to teach these areas. This recognition
comes as no surprise due to the lack of resources teachers supposedly had.
The mid eighties saw the creation of the Personal Development Framework in Victorian schools. Six
distinct areas were targeted to widen students health knowledge: Health education, traffic safety
education, physical education, textiles and clothes, home economics and outdoor education (St. Leger,
2006). These areas still exist in the curriculum in contemporary times. The ever changing role of
health promotion has played a key role in the holistic approach that health education now takes (Leahy

food and nutrition, health benefits of physical activity, mental health and wellbeing, relationships and
sexuality and safety (VCAA, 2017).

The Philosophies of Alexander Hamilton and Thomas...
Preface The argument between Federalists and Anti Federalists might seem long gone to American
citizens, but still their philosophical foundations shape the teams, scope and size of the battlefield.
These philosophies go back to two lone men, Alexander Hamilton and Thomas Jefferson. Both fought
aggressively for a government based on their ideas, and both did make portions of the now standing
American government. This essay will outline the political, social and economic philosophies of both
men, how their philosophies influenced the government today, and a closing opinion.

lifelong arguments and disagreements. Hamilton was the leader ... Show more content on

Jefferson didn t like high taxes, tariffs, regulations or even a national bank. These were all in violation
of the kind of society and government he wished to see. Jefferson believed in a utopia where all
people would be self sufficient farmers and have their own property, and a small government would be
used to do the minimal amount of work needed to keep the peace. Therefore, an economic system was
practically nonexistent. Alexander Hamilton, though, worked for a more complex economic system.
He planned out a national debt, public credit, a national bank and a plan to pay off the debts the nation
had accrued. He advocated to accept the old debts of the Articles of Confederation, war debts, and
state debts under his economic policy because it gives the government some legitimacy, and it allows
for the government to obtain credit from other countries easily. To Alexander Hamilton, that was just a
small part of economics though. He needed to fund the government, and so he was willing to do so via
tariffs, taxes, and bonds. This plan just called upon the clearing of the national debt, and didn t even
cover the vast amounts of commerce and mercantilism that he hoped would emulate England.
Social The social philosophies were not as complicated, since they would be a direct product of the
economy. It s evident that Jefferson s society would be small and simple, where all people would be

River Torre Research Paper
ONCE BEAUTIFUL RIVER GONE TO THE FISHES?
If I said green, grimy and Adelaide, your mind would instantly race to the contaminated River Torrens.
The River Torrens makes up a 85km stretch of the Murray Darling Basin and is vital to the water
security of Australia. But, yet it used to flow on a seasonal basis through and would have been used
for leisure activities, such as swimming. If you looked at the River Torrens now you could never tell
that s what it was used for, and instead, you can see the unsightly weir restricting water flow and the
murky brown green water plagued with environmental issues.
Two of these such issues are algal blooms, caused by various cyanobacteria, and the introduction of
carp into ecosystems. The effects of carp ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Aeration pumps have successfully been used in many rivers and dams to lower algal blooms, they
work by reducing nutrient load in the water column and mixing algae deeper into the water so that
they are deprived of light, other methods such as algaecides are also used as these are toxic to the
algae or cyanobacteria, but using algaecides can come with great risks and may cause more problems.
As a part of a redevelopment plan, the city of Adelaide has been looking at potential ways to remove
the algae and rubbish in the river, the plan is to lower the weir so that there is a flow of water. This
means that nutrients will be moving through and not concentrated in a singular spot, reducing the
likeliness of algal blooms. At the moment the most that are being done on carp is a ban on releasing
them back in the waterway, however, many people are working on an alternative. One of these
alternatives is the release of a carp herpesvirus this acts as a biological agent introduced to the
waterway, wiping out large majorities of carp in one swift go. However, there are issues with this once
in the waterway it cannot be removed and carp may develop resistance and there would have to be a
massive clean up undertaken to remove all the dead

An Imperfect World Torn Apart By William Buck s Version...

individual has reason to fear the other , rejecting those different from their selves. Such demonization
and aggression towards one another has allowed the evils of the world or Ravana to arise. Never

The accounts of honesty practiced in Dharma appear first when Sita proves her faithfulness to her
husband Rama. Following the death of Ravana, Rama renounces Sita assuming that because she has

into a funeral pyre, customary for the widows of Hindu aristocrats, and commits suicide. However,
because she is pure the fire god, Agni, rejects her asserting that Sita has not the smallest fault, and she
is innocent. Lakshmi of good fortune is your wife, and she loves you and returns her back Rama who
is now convinced of her innocence (Buck 364). Reunited with her husband, Sita demonstrates the
perfect wife, telling Rama, I am a fair free woman, I surrender to you of my own will, command me
anything (365). Sita s act of faithfulness and Rama s acceptance in taking her back displays the
Dharma practice of honesty, which in the Hindu sense means the love of what is true. Sita s honesty is
not only highlighted as a characteristic of the perfect being but her truthfulness sets an example for
future generations of women as to what constitutes the excellent quality for respectability of a women

Nitrates And Nitrites Lab Report
Factors:
There is some variation as to the levels of concentration in urine in regard to age and health status of
individuals. Certain disease processes and age, factor into the excretion of nitrates and nitrites via the
urinary tract. For instance, infants pose a greater susceptibility for toxicity. The presence of bacteria in
their gastrointestinal tract elicit a greater conversion percentage of nitrates to nitrites. This conversion
creates more nitric oxide metabolites which can cause a reduction in available oxygen in the blood.
The elimination of nitrates and nitrites concentrated in urine may give an indication of the synthases
taking place in the body. Concentration levels may be an indicator for disease processes and may be

Nitrate is not combustible and accelerates the burning when in contact with combustible material. A
common mistake is to boil water that contains high levels of nitrate. For example, the (CCAMP, 2013)
explains that if there is a high concentration of nitrate in drinking water, an immediate solution is to
use an alternative source of drinking, cooking, and mixing baby formula. The best recommended
source of water would be to use bottled water.
To reduce the chances of exposure of high levels of nitrate concentration the most common way is
reverse osmosis. For instance, treating technologies that remove nitrate include reverse osmosis, ion
exchange, and distillation (CCAMP, 2013). Using these methods to treat the water will reduce the
levels of nitrate that are in the drinking water. Reverse osmosis will remove 83 92% of nitrates in the
drinking water (Linton, 2014). By using this method, the nitrate levels will be reduced enough so that
it can be acceptable to drink.

Underage Drinking And Teenage Drinking
Alex Wilmore Joshua James, Instructor ENG 111 07 July 2015 Underage Drinking With such
compelling information, the question is why haven t we been able to do more to prevent the crisis of
underage drinking? The answer is: rising the age to 25 is what Lucille Roybal Allard once said, a U.S.
Representative for serving in Congress since 1993. This statement has brought many to speculate of
issues and debates. This expression opened the eyes of American people that often struggled to make
this truth into a reality. It might be easy to believe that age laws lowered the deaths of the underage but
there are still signs of its dreadful company in many pieces of American life. Families who choose to
educate their children about underage drinking and driving, seem to have a higher chance of getting
through with the child. These underage teens can face jail or death when they give drinking a chance
and even attempt to drive, having a sexual intercourse or just plain out doing something out of the teen
s element. There are few different methods of controlling the underage drinking and most of which the
teachers, the parents and everyone who is willing to be involved. The underage drinking can be
narrowed to two different opinions of effective methods of eliminating underage drinking: the first
opinion being to have parental and teacher prevention methods and the second opinion being that

I Heard A Fly Buzz-When I Died
Emily Dickinson was fascinated by death and immortality; in her poem I Heard a Fly Buzz When I
Died she reveals her insight on a shared but unknown experience. A speaker, who is describing his or
her death from beyond the grave, narrates the poem, which can be interpreted with either heavily
Christian in its symbolism, or as the literal description of the dying experience. Dickinson uses the
poetry elements of symbolism, imagery and point of view to give us an ironic poem, about dying and
the afterlife, which leaves the reader unsure of what s on the other side of death. There is a
disagreement in the literary world over the meaning of the fly, its symbolism and relationship to the
speaker in the poem (Ruby 139). Dickinson might have used the fly in order to showcase that the
dying speaker was still aware of the physical world but his or her senses were fading as the body
surrenders to death With Blue uncertain stumbling Buzz (Line 13). The fly could also have been used
as an ironic symbol of death, decay, and human mortality. Since the fly is a creature that feeds and lays
its eggs in dead flesh. Some critics think that the fly has a more sinister and dark meaning. They

Theme Of Death Of Trees
explaining the importance of trees an important characteristic of his stories dealing with
environmental concern. Human activities towards nature not only terrified Bisnu but also affected our
ecosystem. Even the delicious wild strawberries, those which Chittru and his friend would eat were
destroyed. The demise of forest panicked Bisnu who is habituated with green mountains at his village
and not with desert like dart. When asked about the condition of trees at his village, Bisnu, as if in a
voice of protest, complains to Pritam Singh: ‚Nobody has started blasting the hills as yet‛ (499).
Having approached to the quarries, Bisnu was shocked watching combustion of shrubs and small
trees. The speculation of the same fate of the tress at his village frightened him. Just as the story
begins with hope, it ends in hope. It was at the end of the tale that a worldly person like ... Show more

Character Analysis of Ophelia in Hamlet by William...
Ophelia is completely virtuous and dependent on the men in her life, which is something I can identify
with. Of all the characters in the play Hamlet, the one I liked the most is Ophelia. Shakespeare
portrayed her beautifully and put all his emotions into Ophelia s character. Ophelia showed the exact
image of the majority of women from my home country. In the play Hamlet, Ophelia was the most
innocent, meek, but distraught character.
Ophelia was a young, innocent girl, who was spirited and was the age of daydreamers. Her dreams
were all about the young prince Hamlet; she believed he was the man for her. A little bit of attraction
seems like love to girls of her age. She was immature so she started to believe in Hamlet s love for her
and gave her untouched heart to him. Ophelia told Polonius, And hath given countenance to his
speech, my lord, with almost all the holy vows of heaven (I.iii.114). We have evidence that Ophelia
thought Hamlet really loved her. When her father asked her about Hamlet she replied, He hath, my
lord, of late made many tenders of his affection to me (I. iii. 100). Her heart always convinced her that
Hamlet loved her. While she was crazy, she admitted that Hamlet already used her and, due to her
innocence, she lost her virginity. She still was heartbroken that Hamlet thought that she was not loyal
to him. She wanted to say no to her father, when he asked Ophelia to spy on Hamlet but she could not
do it because the women of that era had no power to

Essay On Plutarch s Ides Of March
This essay will examine the events of the Ides of March, recreated within Shakespeare s modern play
Julius Caesar. The Ides of March in this essay refers to the day of Caesar s death 15th March 44 BCE.
Shakespeare depicts this event in depth, and over the course of multiple scenes within Julius Caesar.
This essay will primarily focus on Plutarch s Lives of the Noble Greeks and Romans: The Life of
Julius Caesar as an ancient source, as it was the primary text which Shakespeare drew from, as well as
being prominent in the Elizabethan public consciousness at the time of performance Plutarch s Lives
had only been recently translated in 1579 by Sir Thomas North. (Honigmann 1959, p.25)

In Plutarch s Brutus, Plutarch states that although the conspirators were fond of Cicero they feared that
the caution... combined with his natural timidity... and his habit of calculating all the details of every
enterprise... would blunt the edge of their ardour at a crisis which demanded speed. (Plutarch Life of
Brutus, 12.2) The conspirators leave Cicero out because they believe that he will slow their time
sensitive plans down and thus they leave him out of their plans. However, in Shakespeare s recreation,
Cicero is first suggested by Cassius and vouched for by Caska, Cinna, and Metellus. It is Brutus who
disagrees, stating that ...he will never follow any thing that other men begin. (Shakespeare Julius
Caesar, 2.1.151 2). This change is a prominent one, especially as Shakespeare often follows Plutarch s
works diligently. Honigmann suggests that Shakespeare wanted to highlight the determination of
Brutus to be the sole, undisputed leader of the conspirators (Honigmann 1959, p.30). It also
establishes the conspirators as a younger group, as Cicero is the only one described with silver hairs
(Shakespeare Julius Caesar, 2.1.145). By excluding Cicero they also exclude a potentially valuable
member Cicero is said to be wise and of good opinion (Shakespeare Julius Caesar, 2.1.146) his skills
as an orator will help sway the people to their cause. Nevertheless, Brutus refuses, and the others

Generally divided into running and interrupted closures. Running sutures have the advantage of speed,
since knots need only be tied at two or three points. And comparing to interrupted sutures, the helical
nature of running stitch evenly distributes tension along the entire wound and allows for superior
perfusion. However, if one is insecurely tied, or breaks, the whole incision will not come apart. If tied
only tightly enough to approximate the tissue, but loosely enough to permit adequate perfusion of the
fascia within the suture, such sutures can provide a secure closure without necrosis. There is, however,
an inherent tendency to pull forcefully on these sutures as they are being tied. This is unquestionably
the reverse of what is best. If interrupted sutures are not done properly, they can be a greater
impediment to a strong closure than a running suture that produces inherently less

Death versus Death but the Points go to Dickinson
Emily Dickinson was born in a time when not many women involved themselves in poetry or any
form of intellectual capability. Despite this, she was such a wonderful poet that her poetry rivaled
Whitman s. Of course, she was never able to rival him because she chose not to publish her poetry in
her lifetime. Once the world saw her poetry, however, it was shocked by the literary genius who had
lived in seclusion for a good majority of her life. Her style is very distinguishable through it is
excessive but purposeful punctuation and 8 6 8 6 rhyme that matches church songs and patriotic songs
like Amazing Grace and Glory to God on High. The church influenced more than her style, however,
as much of her subject matter pertains to her unorthodox beliefs. Other subjects include hope and
sometimes humor, but her ideas on death are both very interesting and complicated. Dickinson does
not make light of death, but she uses her poems as her diary to record her thoughts on death. She
moves rapidly from thinking death is passive to thinking it is an amazing honor, but she also thinks of
it in a terrified sense. Emily Dickinson s views on death are uncertain, she varies between finding
death casual, positive and romantic, and negative in a series of several poems
Many people may fear death, but Emily Dickinson sometimes expressed in her

research and the analysis to the performance effectiveness in the scope of this article. First it briefly
introduces the regional and global trade agreements that I will examine. Then list the member nations,
how the trade group formed, and the reasoning behind the agreement historically, politically, and

Introduction
I. Global Economic Organization WTO defined.
The World Trade Organization (WTO) is an international organization because of the benefits from the
mutually binding commitments. Countries join the international system and sign the international
trade agreement for the mutual benefit of all. This desire to work with other countries encourages the
country to sign the international agreement which regulates trade practices, and ultimately maintains
compliance with the policies of international trade. WTO was found in 1995, and took the place of the
GATT. In 2015, Kazakhstan became the 162th member.

of marijuana, known as tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), is concentrated in the flowering tops of the

As the AIDS epidemic became prevalent, patients began to use marijuana to decrease the pain caused
by AIDS and AIDS related diseases (Randall and O Leary 200). These new medical uses of cannabis
led to wider folk experimentation. The use of marijuana in the symptomatic treatment of convulsive
disorders, migraine, insomnia, and dysmenorrhea was rediscovered. During Richard Nixon s
campaign on the drug war in the 1970 s, beginning with the establishment of the Office of Drug Abuse
Law
Enforcement (ODALE), marijuana was then confined to Schedule I under the Controlled
Substances Act. This classified marijuana as a drug that has a high potential for abuse, lacks an
accepted medical use, and is unsafe for use under medical supervision (Miller

In November 1996, California endorsed a change in the state s drug laws that contradicted the Drug
Enforcement Administration (DEA) and the Office of National Drug
Control Policy (ONDCP). California voters approved Proposition 215, an initiative that made
marijuana legally available as a medicine in the United States for the first time in two generations.
Under the new law, patients or their caregivers who possess or cultivate marijuana for medical
treatment recommended by a doctor would not be subject to criminal prosecution. The
recommendation may be either written or oral and doctors cannot be penalized by the state for making

Dual Vagina
So. A woman with two vaginas exists. Pornhub is probably drooling over the opportunity to get such a

having two vaginas really is endless, but for the sake of this article, (and all of our sick minds) let s

1. SHE DIDN T KNOW SHE HAD TWO VAGINAS
One would think that having two vaginas would be fairly obvious right? Well, according to YouTube
star Cassandra Bankson, that s just not true. It was only recently that she found out she had two
vaginas. A trip to the doctor for some back pain was the route of the shocking reveal. From then on,
she s been understandably famous. PornHub has yet to make her any offers.

while simultaneously covering her G spot. For those who always thought the G spot was a myth, well,
sorry to break it to you. She was probably just lying to make you feel better.
4. SHE HAS A HIGHER RISK OF MISCARRIAGE
One would think that having two vaginas would double the chances of bearing children, but in fact, it
s quite the opposite. She states that the uteri are abnormally small, which increases the risk of
miscarriage and premature babies. On the upside, pregnancies have been known to ruin many a career
on Pornhub. So she s got then going for her, which is nice.
5. HER SEX LIFE IS GOOD
At the end of the day, through all the inconveniences, Cassandra s sex life is good. Not great, not bad,
but good. Her lucky boyfriend has even chimed in saying he pays equal attention to both vaginas.

The Economic Inequality Of Australia
Australia, although being a multicultural country where everyone is equal, there is a severe presence
of economic inequality. With millions of people living poverty, Australia s wealthy continue to
accumulate wealth, whereas the poor continue to become poorer. With the economic inequality in
Australia rising, the Australian government is contributing to this by creating new policies within the
budget, making those who are disadvantaged already worse off. Rather than creating policies that
make the wealthy even wealthier, the government should be reducing the burden on those who
actually have substantial burdens already. The government is aware that there are ways in which they
can reduce the economic inequality in Australia, however with ... Show more content on

This means that those who are already well off, are getting advances that make them wealthier and
those who are struggling are only getting small advances that determine whether they can put food on
the table and provide for their families. An example of a struggling Australian dealing with the
economic inequality posed against him is Duncan Storrar. Storrar appeared on a popular political show
on the ABC, Q A and posed a question to the panel. I have a disability and limited education. I ve been
a low income earner my whole life and as such I pay a larger percentage of my income in taxes than
the average Australian. Lifting my tax free threshold would change mine and my children s life. How
come rich people get a lift in their threshold? It means nothing to them but to me it would mean my
kids hear something else apart from sorry girls, daddy is broke (Storrar, 2016). Duncan is just one
example of how he economic inequality in Australia affects its citizens.
The government of Australia highly impacts the economic inequality in Australia with doing things
such as bringing in polices and aiming the budget at certain demographics. After the highly anticipated
budget release of 2016, the government told Australians of the major budget measures that were going
to affect them. This included a raise of the tax bracket for middle income earners, redefining it as
$87,000 rather than the current $80,000. Currently, the bracket is for those who earn $37,001 $80,000.

Pros And Cons Of Bug Out Bag
Bug Out Bag Debate: Tarp or Tent for Emergency Shelter
A bug out bag is designed for emergencies, so some inconvenience is to be expected.
When on a family outing you can carry a six or eight person cabin tent in the back of your vehicle.
Weight is not a large factor when you can pack your supplies in the cargo space of an SUV or pickup.
When packing supplies on your back however, weight can be a deciding factor. What you think you
can carry on your back, and what you can actually carry, are two different things. Twenty minutes
hiking up and down the sidewalk with 30 to 50 pounds strapped on does not mean you can perform
the same way physically while in a crisis when walking over rough and uneven terrain for hours at a
time.
Tents
Most backpacking tents are designed for 1 to 2 people. A one person tent allows approximately 15

Import And Local Production Of Cement Importation

because of the out dated manufacturing technology, high interest rates and exchange rate fluctuations.
These factors have contributed to the manufacturing overhead both in terms of the high cost of raw

cost of acquiring an import license in comparison with difficulty in import license acquisition for
manufacturing equipment spare parts also discouraged local manufacturing (Mojekwu, Idowu, Sode,

Writers Face Censorship In Persian Letters By Montesquieu...
Writers Face Censorship Most, but not all, government and church
authorities felt they had a sacred duty to defend the old order. They
believed that God had set up the old order. To protect against the attacks

To avoid censorship, philosophes and writers like Montesquieu and

and the lack of attention Goneril received because of it. Gonerils neglect from Lear throughout her life
has made her resent him and motivated her to betray him in the play. Goneril wants nothing more from
Lear than his money and power. I believe that Goneril was Lear‟s favorite child until Cordelia was
born, after all Goneril was the first royal child born into the family. Now Lear dotes on Cordelia and
has no interest in Goneril. (King) This quote outlines a very common type of sibling rivalry within
families. The first child born expects to receive the same amount of attention they received as a baby
all their life, until another child is born who takes the attention away from the first child born. This
causes resentment between the children and competition for the parents affection, which could even

Janet s Point Of View
Janet s Point of View in The Storm McKnight Malmar s story, The Storm , is a suspenseful short story
about a woman, later in the story revealed to be named Janet, coming home to an empty house with no
sign of her husband, Ben. The story is told in third person limited point of view where the reader
follows Janet who has to process her husband being gone, and finding the lifeless body of a woman
while alone in her isolated home during a thunderstorm. The story starts with Janet being excited and
relieved to come home to her husband, where she imagines a kind, almost platonic Ben to welcome
her home by kissing her cheeks and touching her shoulders (Malmar, Pg. 1). Through the progression
of the story, Janet uses her time alone to shift her happy thoughts of Ben into doubt and reason. During
the storm, Janet is able to see her life with Ben as the abusive relationship it truly is. The first portion
of the story begins with Janet having high regards for her husband and the house they live in. She
imagined a surprised Ben sitting by the fire with his paper inside their home, with his face lighting up
at her early return. In the kitchen, she would make coffee for the two of them and talk by the fire. She
sits in the house without Ben, who is not home, and while alone, her attention shifts from her idealistic
scenario involving her husband to the ongoing storm and how it appears to be getting worse. From this
point of the story and onwards, Janet battles herself and how she

The Swot Analysis Of Waitrose
The PESTEL Analysis of Waitrose
Name
Institution
Waitrose is a chain of super markets in United Kingdom focused on the grocery business. The
organization as of 2010 had 228 retail branches only in UK making it the 6th largest retailer with a
market share of 4.3% in UK (Corporate Watch, 2012). The grocery business is a major contributor to
the food industry and forms the core of the retailing venture attracting many market players in UK
such as Tesco, Iceland, Somerfield, Sainsbury s, and ASDA. This has led to intense competition
compelling Waitrose to embrace a differentiation strategy of aiming at the so called upper class which
prefers quality and fresh produce (NY, 2012). This has made the organization to have a good ... Show

Additionally, the Department of the Environment, Transport, and Regions affirms that the government
firmly remains to be dedicated to the Planning Policy Guidance objective of enhancing and sustaining
viability and vitality of prevailing of local centers, districts, towns, and cities in regard to the retailing
business (Gov UK, 2013). Due to this, Waitrose has been operating in permissible vicinities or
localities by the government. Also the Supply of Groceries from Multiple Stores in the United
Kingdom reports that leading supermarket chains as far as grocery business is concerned should not
form cartels to keep prices high (NY, 2012). Thus, Waitrose has been charging affordable prices for its
quality products in complying with this directive. Also UK has been campaigning for anti Genetically
Modified Foods in retail stores (Keynote, 2011). Moreover, the upper class does not prefer GMO
foods and thus the organization has been their darling. Finally, the organization trades within the
Eurozone where there is political stability and also a strong currency making the business activities of
Waitrose not to be tampered with at all.
Economically, UK has not been that stable as far as economic activity is concerned. The global
economic meltdown and its aftermath are still being felt today. The years following the 2007/2008
were economic roller coaster in UK. By 2009, the economic growth declined by 4 leading to low GDP

The world population has reached over seven billion by the time we are writing this essay (Worldometers, 2014). It means that the amount of food and energy consumed will be rising promptly. We do not know whether people would choose food crops or fuel crops to satisfy their needs, but from our point of view, producing ethanol by corn and rice is good for all economy, environment and social benefits. First, producing ethanol from corn or rice is really economic. The first benefit of corn based ethanol would be on agriculture and industry. Corn is cheap and easy to produce domestically; therefore, producers do not need to import raw material from foreign countries. Consequently, ethanol price will be lower in comparison with other energy like oil or gas. It will lead to cheaper transportation costs by using bio fuels. More importantly, transportations relate to every field of the economy, so lower price of transportation will bring more profits to the whole economy. Besides, price of corn also creep up since high demands of corn that impulse the planters income and creating more jobs for farmers. In addition, when the government supports for corn production on a concentrated area, maize agriculture will be more productive and effective than before. Both consumers and producers can earn profits and that amount of profits will contributes significantly to the nation s GDP growth. Thus, if we merge ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In his album Spirits, published in 1994, Heron created a lengthy masterpiece in the form of his poetic style song, Message to the Messengers. In this famous piece, Heron talks about many social problems that African Americans face in modern society. The most significant quote that sums up the entire song is when Heron states, Sometimes they tell lies and put em in a truthful disguise/ But the truth is that s why we said it wouldn t be televised. The point that both artists are trying to get across is that the idea of social and racial injustice is ever common today as it was in some of the worst times in American history. The only difficulty in seeing the issues that plague society is that the knowledge of the average citizen is clouded by false information stimulated by politics. Introduction Industrial emissions are a major sources of air pollution, and thus responsible for numerous deleterious effects on a human health and environment caused by photochemical smog, acid rain, and resultant degradation of ecosystems and bio diversity. Ontario s SO2 emissions are predominantly around 65 percent from industrial sources including non ferrous smelting. The major environmental concerns associated with smelting are energy consumption, releases of sulphur dioxide and particulate matter to air, and the generation of residues, such as slag and captured dust (Environment Canada, 2006). SO2 Pollution Effects around Sudbury Today the Sudbury region is known for mining and production of nickel, as it is located just off the Canadian Shield region that holds a vast nickel reserves. Throughout the early 20th century, many mining and smelting venture such as Inco and Falconbridge were created to take advantage of the growing nickel industry. Both are these companies used a smelting process called heap roasting method to extract the nickel from the ore. However, Smelting process is the one main source of the sulphur fumes which caused acid rain (Buhr, 1998). This results from nickel production itself, where there is 8 more times of sulphur oxides particulate in the ore than actual nickel (Crawford, 1994). At the beginning of this century, the amount of SO2 released into the atmosphere weren t much of a concern since the nickel output was considerably small. It later became a problem as the demand for nickel production was gradually increasing (Crawford, 1994). Up till the 1970 s, the Smelting industry in the Sudbury region was one of the largest metal producing complexes in the world, which meant that it also release a massive amount of Sulphur and metal particulates into the environment. • 6. The On The Soil Lacks For Life On Mars Essay The soil lacks in nutrients. Therefore, greenhouses would have to be built and constructed in a way that the plants can adapt to the environment in almost a similar way to Earth. This would allow the plants to grow on Mars and over some time, create food for life on Mars. To have this greenhouse on Mars it would help grow plants for food, recycling and for replenishing the air. The main disadvantage to easily growing plants on Mars is the low atmospheric pressure that would make the plants act as if they are quickly drying out and dying. To get around this issue on Mars, we would have to be able to control the air pressure in the greenhouse. Scientists have stated that A hydroponics system allows the plants to grow without soil, while artificial light ensures the plants are able to grow efficiently . The food planted needs to have enough nutrients in its roots to be able to grow and have enough nutrients for humans to survive. For human survival, we would have to plant enough plants for some to be used as creating oxygen in the atmosphere and the edible portion to our nutrition. This would keep us healthy on Mars and be able to survive. Surprisingly enough, the Martian soil contains nutrients that is even more nourished than some of Earth s soils. This means that the soil doesn t lack any nutrients to grow food, it is the excessive volume of Perchlorate chemicals which would cause adverse effects on a human s health. Well, Montag, take my word for it, I ve had to read a few in my time, to know what I was about, and the books say nothing! Nothing you can teach or believe. ... You come away lost. (Bradbury 59) He explains that the words in books do not seem to be of any value, and that reading them gives the reader not a speck of insight into any aspect of life. In this society, his words ring true for almost everyone, except those who managed to learn before the schools shut down and those who yearned to understand what books say. Furthermore, Beatty s attempts to force Montag into the mold of this society pushes the man to search for wisdom in the depths of literature. Beatty spurs Montag to delve into the world of literature. He dares the man to defy him in an almost mocking tone such as here: We d certainly miss you if you didn t show. Beatty is a strict man always following and enforcing the rules, seldom deviating from them, and is a man of his word. Jefferson believed in a utopia where all people would be self sufficient farmers and have their own property, and a small government would be used to do the minimal amount of work needed to keep the peace. Therefore, an economic system was practically nonexistent. Alexander Hamilton, though, worked for a more complex economic system. He planned out a national debt, public credit, a national bank and a plan to pay off the debts the nation had accrued. He advocated to accept the old debts of the Articles of Confederation, war debts, and state debts under his economic policy because it gives the government some legitimacy, and it allows for the government to obtain credit from other countries easily. To Alexander Hamilton, that was just a small part of economics though. He needed to fund the government, and so he was willing to do so via tariffs, taxes, and bonds. This plan just called upon the clearing of the national debt, and didn t even cover the vast amounts of commerce and mercantilism that he hoped would emulate England. Of all the characters in the play Hamlet, the one I liked the most is Ophelia. Shakespeare portrayed her beautifully and put all his emotions into Ophelia s character. Ophelia showed the exact image of the majority of women from my home country. In the play Hamlet, Ophelia was the most innocent, meek, but distraught character. Ophelia was a young, innocent girl, who was spirited and was the age of daydreamers. Her dreams were all about the young prince Hamlet; she believed he was the man for her. A little bit of attraction seems like love to girls of her age. She was immature so she started to believe in Hamlet s love for her and gave her untouched heart to him. Ophelia told Polonius, And hath given countenance to his speech, my lord, with almost all the holy vows of heaven (I.iii.114). We have evidence that Ophelia thought Hamlet really loved her. When her father asked her about Hamlet she replied, He hath, my lord, of late made many tenders of his affection to me (I. iii. 100). Her heart always convinced her that Hamlet loved her. While she was crazy, she admitted that Hamlet already used her and, due to her innocence, she lost her virginity. She still was heartbroken that Hamlet thought that she was not loyal to him. She wanted to say no to her father, when he asked Ophelia to spy on Hamlet but she could not do it because the women of that era had no power to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 23. Essay On Plutarch s Ides Of March This essay will examine the events of the Ides of March, recreated within Shakespeare s modern play Julius Caesar. The Ides of March in this essay refers to the day of Caesar s death 15th March 44 BCE. Shakespeare depicts this event in depth, and over the course of multiple scenes within Julius Caesar. This essay will primarily focus on Plutarch s Lives of the Noble Greeks and Romans: The Life of Julius Caesar as an ancient source, as it was the primary text which Shakespeare drew from, as well as being prominent in the Elizabethan public consciousness at the time of performance Plutarch s Lives had only been recently translated in 1579 by Sir Thomas North. (Plutarch Life of Brutus, 12.2) The conspirators leave Cicero out because they believe that he will slow their time sensitive plans down and thus they leave him out of their plans. However, in Shakespeare s recreation, Cicero is first suggested by Cassius and vouched for by Caska, Cinna, and Metellus. It is Brutus who disagrees, stating that ...he will never follow any thing that other men begin. (Shakespeare Julius Caesar, 2.1.151 2). This change is a prominent one, especially as Shakespeare often follows Plutarch s works diligently. Honigmann suggests that Shakespeare wanted to highlight the determination of Brutus to be the sole, undisputed leader of the conspirators (Honigmann 1959, p.30). It also establishes the conspirators as a younger group, as Cicero is the only one described with silver hairs (Shakespeare Julius Caesar, 2.1.145). However, if one is insecurely tied, or breaks, the whole incision will not come apart. If tied only tightly enough to approximate the tissue, but loosely enough to permit adequate perfusion of the fascia within the suture, such sutures can provide a secure closure without necrosis. There is, however, an inherent tendency to pull forcefully on these sutures as they are being tied. This is unquestionably the reverse of what is best. • 26. Death Versus Death By Emily Dickinson Maheen Chranya English HP E Ratliff April 21, 2015 Term Paper Rough Draft HP: _____________________ Death versus Death but the Points go to Dickinson Emily Dickinson was born in a time when not many women involved themselves in poetry or any form of intellectual capability. Despite this, she was such a wonderful poet that her poetry rivaled Whitman s. Of course, she was never able to rival him because she chose not to publish her poetry in her lifetime. Once the world saw her poetry, however, it was shocked by the literary genius who had lived in seclusion for a good majority of her life. Her style is very distinguishable through it is excessive but purposeful punctuation and 8 6 8 6 rhyme that matches church songs and patriotic songs like Amazing Grace and Glory to God on High. The church influenced more than her style, however, as much of her subject matter pertains to her unorthodox beliefs. Other subjects include hope and sometimes humor, but her ideas on death are both very interesting and complicated. Dickinson does not make light of death, but she uses her poems as her diary to record her thoughts on death. She moves rapidly from thinking death is passive to thinking it is an amazing honor, but she also thinks of it in a terrified sense. Emily Dickinson s views on death are uncertain, she varies between finding death casual, positive and romantic, and negative in a series of several poems Many people may fear death, but Emily Dickinson sometimes expressed in her ... Storrar appeared on a popular political show on the ABC, Q A and posed a question to the panel. I have a disability and limited education. I ve been a low income earner my whole life and as such I pay a larger percentage of my income in taxes than the average Australian. Janet s Point Of View Janet s Point of View in The Storm McKnight Malmar s story, The Storm , is a suspenseful short story about a woman, later in the story revealed to be named Janet, coming home to an empty house with no sign of her husband, Ben. The story is told in third person limited point of view where the reader follows Janet who has to process her husband being gone, and finding the lifeless body of a woman while alone in her isolated home during a thunderstorm. The story starts with Janet being excited and relieved to come home to her husband, where she imagines a kind, almost platonic Ben to welcome her home by kissing her cheeks and touching her shoulders (Malmar, Pg. 1).
