Global Environmental Problems
Global environmental problems have taken a turn for the worst in recent years. For water pollution,
carbon emissions, and hurricanes have been at their highest peak in 2017. These issues have only
begun to get worse due to power plants, burning of fossil fuels, and several other environmentally
hazardous factories. In just 2017, six major hurricanes have occurred due to a combination of climate
change, warming of the oceans, air and water pollution, overpopulation, and several other
environmental polluters. Countries, including the United States of America, are drastically being
affected by these events, some more than others. Global environmental problems have increased over
the years and will continue to grow worse if actions are not taken to change this pattern. If the
population continues to grow exponentially, like it is now, Homo sapiens will drastically feel the
effects of global environmental changes including a lack of water, polluted waters and air, and a
drastically lower life expectancy. According to the article, Food by World Wildlife 7.3 billion people
live on this Earth and all together we consume 1.6 times what Earth s natural resources can offer us
(1). With this statistic alone, it is prevalent that if we continue to consume more than what Earth can
offer us, we will run out of natural resources. Running out of natural resources such as food will
drastically affect the Homo sapiens race as well as all life forms on Earth. Environmental storms will

Imagery In Grendel
We often rely on imagery, a literary device that uses vivid descriptions and appeals to the senses, in
our storytelling to point out the important facts in our stories. It helps our audience picture the scene
and understand the severity of the situation. In my opinion, a well written scene can be incredibly
meaningful and thought provoking with the help of imagery, sometimes even more so than a
photograph. In literature, this is no different. Authors will describe characters and events in great detail
when they feel it is important to the story. They will use imagery to point out character traits, themes,
symbols, and motifs. A good author paints you a picture so you can imagine the places, colors,
expressions, textures, with all the fine details. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The three animals of the novel come to epitomize Grendel s understanding of nature as indifferent and
mechanical. At the beginning of the novel, the ram irritates Grendel because of the way it mindlessly
follows its instincts and mechanical urges. Then comes the bull who can do no real harm to Grendel,
since he can easily dodge its horns, but the bull repeatedly charges at Grendel without altering its
approach at all. Grendel finds the bull s stupidity and inability to think amusing, laughing scornfully at
the animal. Yet, several times in the novel he berates himself for being as mechanical as anything else.
We see his extreme frustration at this state expressed in his encounter with the goat, which most
vividly and grotesquely represents the plight of the machine. These types of imagery represent part of
the character that is Grendel. Unlike the ram, which frustrates Grendel, and the bull, which amuses
him, the goat haunts him with its mindless persistence that drove him to the

The Importance Of Clean Drinking Water In India
One of the biggest challenges facing the world today is the emphasis on providing clean water to
everyone throughout the world. This is a fairly easy task in wealthier countries with strong central
governments which establish regulations on how waterways are maintained and treated, however in
developing countries like India the task is insurmountable. With India s population soon to surpass
China by 2022 , there is a huge concern in the lack of clean drinking water for many of their citizens
(Riley, 2015). If India s population is going to continue to rise at the rates it is experiencing today, the
government must create more initiatives to alter the poor hygiene practices by its citizens, to ensure
everyone has access to clean drinking water. One of the biggest problems facing India s access to
clean water is the practice of improper hygiene, which is seen from the astronomical amount of people
that presently practice open defecation or someone defecating outside in the open. The practice stems
from early human civilization, but without much emphasis on the problem over the past century, it has
continued to rise with India s rising population. In India, a staggering 522 million of their citizens
practice open defecation (India, n.d.). This is an extreme cause for concern in a country that has such a
dense population due to its population size compared to the countries overall size. What this entails is
that even if the amount of people who practice open defecation

The American Holocaust And American Americans
The American Holocaust has had a major effect on the Native American people, and changed their
lives forever. It all begins with the European and Spanish invasion of North America. The European
people brought over dieses that the Native American were not exposed too and it caused deaths with in
their groups. Also the Europeans brought over more advanced weapons and were able to take over the
Native Americans, and this lead to the American Holocaust and shows the effect on the Native
American people. These historical events have been used in many Native American stories, and a
person is able to see the connections. The American Holocaust was a time that was damaging for the
Native American people. It was a time that dealt with the invasion of the Spanish and European
people. One aspect that made it a damaging time for the Native Americans, was the lack of weapons
that they had compared to the advanced technology of their enemy s. Columbus responded with
several hundred armed troops, Calvary, and a score or more of trained attack dogs (Stannard P.
13).This shows the amount of power and money that Columbus had behind him. He was able to get
what he needed to win his battles, with either swords or armor, or more attack dogs and more warriors.
One of the first discoveries of North American from Europeans was with Columbus. For America s
history, it more widely recognized Columbus, as opposed to the Native American people. This is
because the Spanish and Europeans weren t

Rhetorical Analysis Of Malcom X
Malcom X gives his speech during a time in American history when equality and civil rights between
blacks and whites had not yet been established. Like Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Malcom X also
fought for the civil rights of Black Americans in the 1960s, but using different tactics. Malcom X was
angry that Congress had opposed bills that were intended to support the equality and civil liberties of
African Americans. In the North, where Blacks were allowed to vote, White politicians came to Black
communities with promises they did not intend to keep in exchange for black votes. Malcom X urged
the African American community to fight in order to gain the equal rights they deserved, by either
through immediate grant of the vote (the ballot) and if denied the vote, blacks should engage in violent
opposition to the white rule (the bullet). Malcom X s stature as a civil rights leader and prominent
figure in the Nation of Islam helped strengthen these appeals. Throughout his speech, Malcom X shifts
between various tones to make his speech more impactful towards his audience. He mainly spoke in
an assertive tone, which proved the seriousness of his arguments. During his rhetoric appeals, it is
evident that X moved into subtle changes of mood and tone to captivate the emotions of his audience.
Malcom X delivered his speech on April 3, 1964. By it being the year of a presidential election, X
anticipated his speech would encourage politicians to support black rights. In addition to

Bulimia Nervosa Is An Eating Disorder Essay
Bulimia nervosa is an eating disorder that is most commonly found in women of teenage or young
adult age (Herzog, D. B. (1982). This disorder can have very serious effects on the body. Some of
these physical effects include dental problems, inflamed esophagus, EEG abnormalities, abdominal or
urinary disturbances, and changes in blood sugar level. (Muuss, R. E. (1986). ) The mental and
emotional tolls of this disorder can be equally as dangerous. According to Pompili, M., Girardi, P.,
Ruberto, A., Tatarelli, R. (2006) individuals with bulimia nervosa are at a higher risk for committing
suicide. To be diagnosed with Bulimia Nervosa, according to the DSM 5, a person must experience
episodes of binge eating along with harmful behaviors meant to compensate for the binging. These
behaviors often include vomiting, exercising excessively, depriving oneself of food, or using
medications inappropriately to achieve weight loss.

Satire In Northanger Abbey
Satire is a literary device used by writers typically to critique society or an individual. It can be done a
variety of ways, including humor, irony, and ridicule. An example of a writer using satire to critique
society would be Jane Austen s Northanger Abbey. Using a variety of techniques, Austen criticizes
how society viewed novels and the people who write them by parodying common tropes in novels.
Most novels just want to pull the reader in, and make them forget that they are reading a novel, but
Austen does not allow this. The very first line in Northanger Abbey is No one who had ever seen
Catherine Morland in her infancy, would have supposed her born to be a heroine (1). By pointing out
that the main character is supposed to be the heroine, Austen draws attention to the fact that this is a
novel. However, while Catherine is in fact a heroine, it is also states from the beginning that she does
not match the expectations of the average heroine. So right from the beginning, the reader knows that
while this is a novel, it is not going to be a typical one. It is in fact, going to parodying and critiquing
some common aspects of novels. Austen continues on, and not so subtly points out the ways that
Catherine differs from the heroines normally found in novels.
For Catherine s ...situation in life, the character of her father and mother, her own person and
disposition were all equally against her (Austen 1). She was fairly normal and did not have any of the
commonly used characteristics of heroines working in her favor, despite being a heroine herself.
Austen writes Catherine this was to parody the way women are written in novels. There normally has
to be some catalyst that makes the heroine special, different than the average women. However,
Catherine wasn t incredibly poor, had two well tempered parents, and preferred other hobbies ...to the
more heroic enjoyments... (Austen 1) that heroines were normally fond of. By completely disregarding
the characteristics normally attributed to heroines, Austen creates a character that would not fit into
the normal novel. She essentially gives Catherine the character of someone who is almost the
antithesis of what a heroine normally is, and by doing this critiques the

Music Therapy And Its Effect On Children
Music plays an important role in everyone s life and, although the majority of people nowadays have
heard of music therapy, not many are exactly sure of what it is nor are they aware of its beneficial
effects (Peters 2). Children, in particular, have shown significant improvement in their disabilities
when subjected to musical therapy. Music therapist Ulla Holck s studies show that music therapy can
meet the basic needs of children with special needs, such as behavioral problems, attention skills,
social skills, emotional needs and intersubjective skills. In addition cognitive skills can be
strengthened if the basic needs are fulfilled (45). Music therapy is a process in which music is utilized
to meet or enhance the individual s mental and physical health. The introduction of music therapy has
always brought many benefits, no matter if in general settings or in schools and families; it is
documented to ameliorate the relationship between a child and the family, as well as aid children with
disabilities, such as autism, and special needs. Because of the proven effectiveness of music therapy
for children with disabilities and not, parents should be encouraged to make music apart of their
children s lives.
There is plenty of evidence that proves that music has been utilized in therapy and healing practices
since ancient times. Among the earliest people to practice music therapy before it even became a
profession were the shamans, who originated in the primitive civilizations

Biography of the Seventh Earl of Shaftesbury
The Seventh Earl of Shaftesbury was pre eminently a figure of Victorian England, and therefore needs
to be understood within the historical context of his times. This includes what is, perhaps, the most
salient motivating factor in Shaftesbury s great accomplishments in social reform and philanthropy his
religion. Christianity in Victorian England was, above all else, Christianity in crisis. Those with a
shallow sense of history will generally point to the publication of Darwin s Origin of Species in 1859
as if that were enough to sum up the crisis of Christianity in this time period but in reality there were
massive social changes taking place in England during this time. After all, it was before Darwin that
the Victorian poet and social critic Matthew Arnold wrote his famous poetic complaint about the
decline of belief in England, Dover Beach :
The Sea of Faith
Was once, too, at the full, and round earth s shore
Lay like the folds of a bright girdle furl d.
But now I only hear
Its melancholy, long, withdrawing roar... (Arnold 214)
In Shaftesbury s lifetime, Christianity s social message was particularly endangered. The Industrial
Revolution had begun in the period immediately preceding the Victorian era, and continued with
remorseless rapidity throughout the Victorian period: this had led to massive inequalities of wealth,
combined with the total erosion of traditional ways of life in the rural period, causing the displaced
poor to move to cities. Shaftesbury s

Jungle Monkeys Essays
The monkeys of Rudyard Kipling s The Jungle Book are a very unique group of characters. They are
viewed by the other animals of the jungle, or the Jungle People as they call themselves, as outcasts
and outlaws. The most prominent chapter they occur in, Kaa s Hunting , shows their lawless, shiftless,
and uncivilized way of life. This image in itself does not give off any racist undertone. However,
Disney s adaption of The Jungle Book carries this view of the monkeys, while also giving them strong
attributes that are commonly associated with African Americans. In Kipling s original version of The
Jungle Book, the jungle monkeys make their first prominent appearance in the chapter Kaa s Hunting .
The young boy Mowgli speaks of the jungle ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Disney s version of the book keeps the negative attitude towards the jungle monkeys presented in the
original story. However, it is in Disney s film adaptation that ties explicit attributes frequently
affiliated with African Americans to the Bandar Log. Like in the Kipling s original story, the monkeys
kidnap Mowgli and take him to their temple confines. One of the first differences between the book
and the movie is presented when Mowgli is introduced to the monkey leader King Louie, whose voice
acting is done by the jazz singer Louie Prima (The Jungle Book). As previously mentioned, in the
original story of The Jungle Book the monkey people are leader less. The choice of Louis Prima as the
voice actor for King Louie is a significant selection. Louis Prima was a famous swing and jazz singer
from New Orleans in the mid 20th century. Although Louie Prima was Caucasian, the jazz and swing
genre of music is predominantly considered an African American art form. His musical style, which
included a harsh, raspy voice and scat singing, was greatly influenced by the famous African
American jazz singer Louie Armstrong. Louie Prima implements this musical style in King Louie s
character as he even scats when he sings with Baloo. King Louie also uses phrases usually found in
African American Vernacular English, such as I ll lay it on the line for ya, Cool it, and Craaaazy (The
Jungle Book).

Taraji P Henson Essay
When asked to write about my favorite actor or actress, there are many people I could have chosen but
I choose Taraji P Henson because she is the most real to me. I can t help but smile when I think of
Taraji P Henson a beautiful, diverse actress who is humble and sincere in her craft. When I was nine
years old, I first saw Taraji in her second film debut, Hustle Flow in which she portrayed a character
named Shug. Shug was a pregnant prostitute who became the love interest of the male lead. Although
Taraji is modest about her singing talent, she gives a riveting performance in this movie particularly
on the song It s Hard Out Here for a Pimp. I was unsure that it was her really singing until I found out
she provided the actual vocals for the Three 6 Mafia track and the song won an Academy Award for
Best Original Song in 2006. Also, Taraji ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

character that is relatable to the audience. She wins everyone over with her sincerity and enthusiasm.
While her portrayal look effortless, Taraji does a lot of preparation and considers carefully the roles
she decides to take.
From TV to film to animation, Taraji P Henson has had a diversity of experience that is rarely
highlighted or spoken of yet is a testament to her commitment to acting.. Despite that fact she remains
humble and hungry in a craft that is fleeting. She remains relevant and poise to continue into the future
despite the ageism that plague female actresses. Taraji believes that love is the key to being successful.

Schizophrenia In Australia Essay
Mental illness is one of the top leading causes of disability accountability in Australia (ABS, 2007).
The Australian Bureau of Statistics, 2007 reported that approximately 1 in every 5 Australian is
affected each year and about 3% of the population of Australia is afflicted by psychotic disorder;
essentially schizophrenia, where the person displays distorted sense of reality (ABS, 2007). The
prevalence estimate of schizophrenia is 1.1% of the population ranging from 18 years old and above
that is, as many as 51 million of the population worldwide suffer from this illness (NIMH, 2014). The

What Does The American Dream Mean To Me
The American Dream is an idea that most people have heard of, but there are a lot of different views
on it. Everyone has different thoughts on the Dream because everyone has a different dream. Even
though everybody has a different dream, most of those dreams can be narrowed down to one thing;
success. To me The American Dream is the idea that lets everyone has the chance to follow their
dreams; whether that be a career or a lifestyle. It also allows people to have push through the hard
times and it gives them something good to look towards and work for in their everyday lives. Even
though the idea of being happier, wealthier, and having a better day then the one before has always

Aviation And Transportation Security Administration (TSA)
There hardly comes a time when Congress and Senate can unanimously agree to a bill to pass.
Congress created the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and the Senate voted unanimously
to federalize airport security. Furthermore, this immediate action of unanimous votes was due to the
terrorist attacks of 9/11. Additionally, this quickly led to the Aviation and Transportation Act. This act
was immediately placed, and led to the establishment of the TSA as an Agency by George W. Bush in
the fight against terrorist attacks on the U.S. On November 2001, the new agency known as TSA was
created within the Department of Transportation and is now part of Homeland security. The amount of

security. If this causes travelers to have longer wait times by one hour, but guarantees overall safety,
then this should be implemented. Inconveniencing others is not an excuse if their safety is the reason
the agency was created to start with. Ben Gurion International Airport does require more overall
security steps, but when the major reason is inconvenience, then the TSA has to realize that Ben
Gurion has not had a single attack or threat since 1970 compared to the embarrassing amount of

Academic Dishonesty Among High School Students
Academic dishonesty among high school student
By: Sukhmanveer kaur sidhu
Academic dishonesty or academic misconduct is any type of cheating that occurs in relation to a
formal academic exercise . It consist of any deliberate attempt to falsify, fabricate or otherwise to
tamper with data, information , records, or any other material that is relevant to students participation
in any course, laboratory, or other academic function. It also include any act, which is designed to

Cheating is a complex issue for most of the students (eg: Michales Mithe,1989).Discussion about
academic dishonesty are clearly influenced by social and school norms as well as attitude of teacher
and most importantly friends (Mc cabe Trevion , 1993,1997) there are many children who are haslital
of direct copying material from various sites of internet and present them as their own. Students who
cheat may be getting higher grades than they deserve. For example a survey of high school teachers
found that cheating is partially responsible for grade inflation (Bushneller 1999) when students see
other student cheating and do not see any faculty member and administration addressing such
behaviour they may think that academic dishonesty

Differences Between Theatre And Movie
In today s busy world, people usually struggle to find time for fun and a way of relaxation but when it
happens, they often spend it on entertainment. One of those forms of entertainment is watching stage
or film productions. Theatre and film have lots of aspects in common and depend on each other,
however, they involve differences. People choose between theater and film based on factors and their
own preferences. The purpose of this essay is to compare and contrast between those two forms of art.
First of all, theater as well, as the film is the form of entertainment. Theater was one of the first forms
of arts that made people feel emotion: sadness, laughter, thoughtfulness while being entertained. By
watching actors perform on the stage the viewers live and feel every moment and emotion. The
amusement that comes with life performance is extremely inspiring and motivating. The point of
entertainment is to capture the attention of the audience and that s what ... Show more content on

One of which is the type of performance. Theater is known for performances that are unedited and
raw, therefore actors have to rehearse the script frequent numbers of times in order to avoid bloopers.
During play the most focus is on actors and acting, rather than visuals; the stage cannot be edited or
enhanced. In stage acting, actors have to deal with a lot of stress they have to be stage ready no matter
what. Actors have to have oratory skill as well since they have to perform in front of the crowd.
However, when it comes to creating movies actors are allowed to have bloopers, since it is possible to
edit it out. Actors do not have to rehearse the script as many as theater actors do. Actors of film are
performing in front of the camera, not the live audience. Filmmaking is focused a lot on the visually in

A more eye catching figure, often quoted by Ministers, is for terrorism related arrests . 289 of these
were recorded in 2014 (as against 223 in 2013, 258 in 2012, 170 in 2011 and an average of 216 since
September 2001).122 As I have previously noted, caution is required in relation to these figures. But
in 2014, 86% of those charged following terrorism related arrests were charged with offences
considered to be linked to terrorism, a substantial increase over the equivalent figure of 56% in 2013.
They were focused on the last quarter of the year, which saw 46% of the arrests under TA 2000 section
41 and 37% of all the terrorism related arrests. There was a large increase in the number of 18 20 year
olds being arrested, which more than tripled from 15 in 2013 to 46 in 2014. Continuing a recent trend,
the great majority (78%) of terrorism related arrests were under PACE rather than TA 2000 section 41.
This contrasts with the period 2003 2007, in which over 90% of such arrests were under TA 2000.
Two possible explanations are increased use of holding charges (identity offences, benefits fraud,
internet related offences) while terrorist offences are investigated, and the advent of certain precursor
offences under TA 2006 in respect of which the TA 2000 section 41 arrest power (which is limited to

Titanic Case Analysis
Titanic Case Analysis
Estate of Hans Jensen vs. The White Star Line
Facts:
The White Star Line was owner of the Titanic, which was the largest and most luxurious ship in the
world at the time. On April 10th, 1912, the Titanic left from Southampton, England with 2,227
passengers aboard bound for New York City. On April 14th, the ship struck an iceberg off the coast of
Newfoundland and sank about 2 ½ hours later. Passengers, mostly women and children, were loaded
into lifeboats, however only 705 passengers survived as many lifeboats left partially full.
Hans Peder Jensen and his fiancé Carla Christine Jensen were passengers from Denmark on the
Titanic. Hans Jensen was a carpenter and they had planned to settle in Portland, Oregon ... Show more

The first element of negligence is duty of care. According to the plaintiff, White Star Line, which
owns and operates Titanic, owes a duty of care to all of the passengers on the ship. All of the
passengers relied upon White Star Line to take them to New York safely. Therefore, the crew on
Titanic owed duty of care to not only provide food and comfort, but more importantly safety to the
passengers. Breach of duty occurs when defendant s action has created risk of harm to others. In this
case, the plaintiff believes that the crew of the Titanic behaved in unreasonable manner in many ways.
The actions of the crew members resulted in the Titanic struck a large iceberg and eventually sank
causing large casualties, so the duty of care was breached.
Whether the breach of duty has caused the plaintiff s injury is the third element of negligence.
Requirements for causation are causation in fact and proximate cause. Causation in fact is determined
by the but for test, which means if it was not for the defendant s breach of duty, harm or injury would
not have occurred. Proximate cause is when the connection between the action (breach of duty) and
the injury is strong enough to impose liability. Another issue that needs to be considered is
foreseeability because the defendant s action must have created a foreseeable risk of injury. In this
case, the crew of Titanic was navigating the ship during the night at high rate of speed in water with

Acceptance In Peter Skrzynecki s Immigrant Chronicle
An individual s feeling of acceptance is directly affected by their sense of belonging in the world,
through coming to terms upon where they truly do and do not belong. This sense of acceptance is
heavily reliant on an individual s attitude and experiences, as it revolves around where they seem to
belong in a society, culture, or environment, and their realization of place in the world. This
relationship between belonging and a sense of acceptance is explored through Peter Skrzynecki s
Immigrant Chronicle a series of poems published in 1975 depicting the struggle of an immigrant
family establishing themselves in post WWII Australia. The struggle for finding his place is explored
vividly through his works St Patricks College and Postcard , ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Both texts effectively explore and convey that an individual s sense of belonging lies fundamentally
with their acceptance and place in the world.
A sense of place and acceptance in the world often can only be accomplished through previously
feeling disconnected or alienated; finding where an individual does not belong before recognising
where they do. This cultivated sense of alienation, due to disconnection and displacement, is solemnly
conveyed throughout Peter Skrzynecki s poem St Patrick s College , as the poet struggles to find
connections emotionally, spiritually, or physically to the prestigious school he attends, evidently due
to having no place in that particular environment. Skrzynecki stresses through the first two stanzas his
immediate alienation through his forced enrolment to the impressive school by his Mother... wanting
only What was best , seemingly condemning her for expecting him to flourish in an environment he
did not relate with. The

Designing A Windows Registry Autorun
MSC.BAT was used to initialize the persistent installation of the other two binaries, NTLHAFD.GCP
and NTSVCHOST.EXE, and cleanup the installation. A Windows registry Autorun key was set to
provide persistence. NTLHAFD.GCP was the backdoor and was encrypted with RC4 stream cipher
and compressed using the Zlib library (GReAT, 2013a). Before executing the decryption and memory
load routines, the loader, NTSVCHOST.EXE, first attempted to connect to legitimate Microsoft
domains (update.microsoft.com, www.microsoft.com, and support.microsoft.com) to determine if the
victim computer was able to route to the internet. If the infected computer was not online, the loader
would not decrypt the backdoor, NTLHAFD.GCP. When online, the loader would execute the
decryption and memory load routines, and the backdoor would communicate periodically with the
designated Command and Control server. From an antivirus perspective, the backdoor that was on
disk was encrypted, and the more nefarious code was only in its unencrypted form while in memory.
In order to reverse engineer the malware, it required either connecting to the internet or tricking the
malware into believing it was on the internet.
Red October s Second Stage Command and Control and Loaded Modules After successfully
establishing a connection to one of the three hardcoded Command and Control servers built into every
installation of Red October, the backdoor was capable of loading additional modules. Some of these

The Rise Of The Middle Class
For decades now, our political and economic policy have been constructed around one idea: that if
taxes on the rich go up, job creation will go down. This idea has been the backbone of Republican
trickle down Reagan economics and has been scarcely challenged by Democrats. America s economy
as well as the global economy as a whole are facing extreme income inequality and this idea has only
widened the gap. Our political system has been flooded with the money of the rich through lobbyists
or super PACs, who then are the ones receiving the tax cuts and are garnering political favors by doing
so, effectively moving us farther from a free and fair democracy, but rather towards oligarchy. The
middle class has been fading away due to stagnating ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Hanauer begins his argument by comparing the fallacy on hand to another fallacy we once believed,
which turned out to be dead wrong: For thousands of years people were sure that earth was at the
center of the universe. It s not and an astronomer who still believed it was, would do some lousy
astronomy. In doing this, Hanauer seeks to bring out the duh! response out of people and relate it back
to the argument at hand. The argument being that if a policy maker who believed that the rich and
businesses are job creators and therefore should not be taxed, would make policy equally as lousy.
Although he incites the emotional response in the reader he also backs it up with facts and his
experience as one of the plutocrats. He cites his experience as well as,going into some basic economic
theory: I have started or helped start, dozens of business and initially hired lots of people. But if no
one could have afforded to buy what we had to sell, my businesses would have all failed and all those
jobs would have evaporated. He uses this to pivot to his next point, which is the main point of the
argument: That s why I can say with confidence that rich people don t create jobs, nor do businesses,
large or small. He backs it up with his theory, which is a basic economic principle of demand when
broken down: What does lead to more employment is a circle of life like feedback loop between
customers and business. Not only is it not the rich who create

This is a universal truth that majority of artist are not earning substantial income, and consequently to

An Argumentative Essay On Mermaids

People believe that mermaids are the reason for unexplained happenings in the sea, such as
shipwrecks and drownings ( Mermaids 1). Many also believe that mermaids affect the weather and
cause storms at sea and floods on land. Another interesting fact that contributes to their magic is that
they have human and fish like features. The top

Essay On Narrative Voice In A Woman Warrior And Things...
Not only is the narrator one of the first parts of a novel that a reader experiences, but it can change
completely how a reader experiences that novel. In both A Woman Warrior by Maxine Kingston, and
Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe, the narrative voice influences the narrators understanding of the
cultures of Maxine and Okonkwo, respectively. Kingston writes using the narrative voice of her
younger self, named Maxine and Achebe tells his story through an unnamed narrator who has insight
into multiple character s minds. Both Kingston and Achebe use language as a tool to allow readers to
get better acquainted with the cultures and traditions of the characters, and to also further show the
complexity of the purpose of silence. Maxine Kingston ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Achebe uses this technique as a way to show the importance of language between classes throughout
his novel. As the Igbo tribe is experiencing colonization and the intrusion of the Western people, the
narration shifts from a fully understood and accepted form of communication, to a barrier that
prevents the Western people from understanding the national that they have overrun. The narrator
speaks in a way that embraces Igbo culture and tradition, including stories and songs in traditional
Igbo, with a full understanding of the importance of language in this culture. However, as the novel
progresses, the view of the narrator slowly changes, coming to a apex in the very end of the book as
the District Commissioner notes that the story of Okonkwo could make for an interesting paragraph in
his upcoming book. The narrator, speaking through the mind of the District Commissioner, is a much
colder and aggressive voice than heard throughout the rest of the novel. The District Commisioner s
contemplation that the life of Okonkwo, a traditional and very religious and symbolic character of the
Igbo tribe, would only be worth a few sentences is Achebe s way of showing that the Western culture
is unable to understand and accept the culture of the Igbo

Anger In His Sermon On The Mount
Anger
Anger is the very first sin that Jesus preached about in His Sermon on the Mount. You have heard that
it was said to those of old, You shall not murder, and whoever murders will be in danger of the
judgment. But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of
the judgment. And whoever says to his brother, Raca! Shall be in danger of the council. But whoever
says, You fool! shall be in danger of hell fire. (Matt. 5:21 22) Raca is a strong word, which expresses
contempt. The word fool is a lighter word and is used of a person who lacks good sense.
Gregory the Great included anger in his list of seven deadly sins. Of course, every sin is deadly, but,
perhaps because anger is so

The final verdict in this case could have been different if the evidence was present properly and
uncontaminated. The major problem in this case was in fact the evidence and there was a lot of
evidence that could have potentially got a conviction of O.J. Simpson. The failure to present high
quality evidence in court was where the case took a turn for the worst. The different evidence in this
case consists of the following: the Rockingham glove, the sock, the Bronco, and the Bundy Crime
scene just to name a few (Thompson, 1996). DNA was found on the majority of the evidence that was
collected. Some of the main places where DNA was found were specifically at the Bundy Crime scene
and in the Bronco (Kolata, 1995). When looking over the crime scene, there were about eight blood
stains or drops found outside of the residence. Five of the blood drops were found on the Bundy
walkway and three blood stains were found from the rear gate (Thompson, 1996). The blood that was
found at the crime scene were matches with the victims, Nicole and Ronald Goldman. The blood
drops and stains that were found outside of the residence were consistent with the DNA profiles of
O.J. Simpson (Thompson, 1996). Along with the blood drops and stains, there were bloody shoe prints

My Memories A Favorite Memory
An individual s childhood memory has impacted them in some way whether it be emotionally or
physically. From one memory to another, good or bad, develops the entity of a person s personality or
logic. I considered one of my worst memories a favorite memory because, from that experience, I
gained development as an individual. The start of that development occurred on vacation without my
parents attending. Like any other child, I became very enthusiastic of the whole idea of freedom and
self guidance. After the majority of the trip, I became uninterested with self guidance and I wanted to
rely on the adults to plan fun filled activities. I was very disappointed with the fact that their lack of
authority and action lead to an uneventful vacation. I began to miss my parents guidance because with
every request or action they took it was in all the best interest of me. Whether it was to hold my hand
across the road or watch the things I eat, all of it was intended for my growth and safety. It was then
that I realized how much my parents really cared for me and it made me grow to respect their wishes
even more. Concisely what began as a getaway from my parents resulted in a realization of how much
I should appreciate and respect them.

Analysis Of Proposition Of Rational Expectations,...
CHAPTER ELEVEN
STUDY WITH INVARIANCE PROPOSITION OF RATIONAL EXPECTATIONS
11.1 Introduction The concept of Invariance Proposition of Rational Expectations, developed by
Lucas, Sargent and Wallace in early seventies, presents the idea that the anticipated part of money
supply affects price level. Since the present work is devoted to study the relationship between money
supply and price level, the Invariance Proposition theory of rational expectation can be applied to
examine the relationship between anticipated money supply and price level. In order to apply
Invariance Proposition theory in examining the impact of anticipated money supply on price level, we
need to estimate the anticipated money supply.
There are several procedures to estimate the anticipated money supply; the present study has applied
ARIMA structures of narrow and broad money supply for the estimation of anticipated money supply.
After identifying anticipated money supply, a regression equation has been performed taking price
level as dependent variable and anticipated money supply as explanatory variable.
11.2 ARIMA Model for M1 Money Supply
In order to quantify anticipated money supply, the ARIMA model has been applied. For this purpose
equation (11.1) has been employed for ARIMA structure for M1 money supply, on the basis of which
the anticipated M1 money supplies has been quantified. 〖dLnM〗_1t=α+β_1 〖dLnM〗_(1t 1)+β_2

Analysis Of The Plastic Pink Flamingo A Natural History By...
In the essay The Plastic Pink Flamingo: A Natural History by Jennifer price; the author shows
implicitly her idea and point of view on the topic on the United States culture. The idea is that the
U.S.A s culture is very overbearing, this is shown by her view on how Americans are so worried with
their image that is seen by society. Price uses many writing techniques to express her view on United
States culture, by the usage of diction, tone, and symbolism Price is able to convey her analysis on the
greed and the corruption occurring in the American culture.
Just examining the title the reader already understands that the author is going to be using an ironic
and sarcastic tone in her writing; The Plastic Pink Flamingo : A Natural History. The flamingo is
plastic while natural may implied that is naturally made, while a plastic flamingo is actually man
made. The reader gets another taste of her sarcastic tone with the first two sentences of the essay; first,
it was a flamingo . As if the italics weren t enough to notice her sarcastic tone on making such an
obvious comment, as if a pink flamingo could be anything but a flamingo. It is quite evident that price
did this on purpose she wanted to be sarcastic to show her point on how a simple thing as a flamingo
can become the symbol of wealth in the eyes of Americans. The author continues with using more
irony in her work by actually saying that something Americans did was ironic. This was a little ironic,
since Americans had hunted flamingos to extinction in Florida... what price is saying is that once
Americans wanted flamingos for their meat, fast forward a hundred years now the flamingo is almost
being worship by the way it is use all across the nation In the 1950s, namesake Flamingo motels,
restaurants, and lounges cropped up across the country... .The authors finds it ironic how Americans
change their ideas about something that was once meaningless into something that everyone must
have as soon as it is cool enough. This shows how price thinks that the American culture norm is to
follow what everyone is doing or what everyone is buying even if it was just once meat.
When the pink flamingo splashed into the fifties... notice on how the pink flamingo

The Iniquities of the Father:
A Look at the Faulknerian Family.
Faulkner has been hailed as one of the greatest writers of the twentieth century, especially for his
depictions of life in the Deep South. Many of his stories take place in fictional Yoknapatawpha
County, Mississippi. In the Sound and the Fury and As I Lay Dying, he focuses on two very different
families in this county, and explores how the iniquity of the fathers is revisited upon the children
(Holy Bible: KJV Deut. 5.9). In both novels, through the use of stream of consciousness and various
other modernist writing techniques, Faulkner looks at two deeply troubled families with weak parents

His grand father, J.W.T. Falkner, inherited a railroad company, but instead of passing it on to his son
whose first and lasting love was the railroad, he sold it for $75,000 (Minter 6 7). Young Faulkner and
his family moved to Oxford, Mississippi, where his father, Murry, a cold man whose capacity for
affection was limited, grew more and more bitter, drank whisky, and remained distant and cautious
(Minter 9). The relationship between Faulkner s father and his mother, who had probably married
Murry Falkner thinking that he would eventually run the railroad company, became more and more
strained. As the tension between them increased, Faulkner s father came more and more to regard him
as his mother s son (Minter 9).
As a child, Faulkner preferred to be the silent observer who moved back and forth between
participation and withdrawal (Minter 12). He dropped out of eleventh grade twice, before getting a

Catalan is only a dialect of Castilian. While many people would like to say this is true, and Spain
under Franco attempted to integrate Catalan into mainstream Spanish culture this way (Alguera 89),
the Catalan is a distinct language with it s own lexicon, literature, grammar rules, etc. It is a
mandatory subject for children in public education in the autonomous community ( Catalans. 109).
This contrasts the Basque Country where only 30% of the population is fully fluent in Basque
(Gobierno Vasco 17). Interestingly, although Basque is classified as a vulnerable language ( Data on
the Basque Language. ) and is spoken by less than a third of the population, the highest concentration
of speakers exists in young adults, where nearly 60% of people age 16 to 24 claim to be fluent
(Gobierno Vasco 21). I think this trend is interesting because one would think the older generations
had the higher percentage of Basque speakers, and the lowest among the younger age groups owing to
assimilation to Spanish language and culture. Although Basque and Catalan are recognized co official
languages and enjoy considerable clout and use, the situation is very different in France.
As the symbol for the national identity of the Basques, scholars have

Michael Apted s Treatment Of Amazing Grace
Simona Shuman
In Michael Apted s treatment of Amazing Grace, he focuses on a young abolitionist in a pro slavery
society. In the thesis, Apted and I examine how, tɦʀօʊɢɦ tɦɛ քօաɛʀɖʊʟ ʍɛssaɢɛ օʄ tɦɛ ɦʏʍռ Aʍaʐɨռɢ
Gʀaċɛ,William Wilberforce strives to stand up for what he believes is morally right when escaping
from political pressures, even if it means being humiliated. Throughout the film three types of history
occurred: political, economic, and military. The conclusion of the paper will be a restatement of the
main ideas, and my personal opinion on the film.
In the beginning of the movie, Michael Apted introduces William Wilberforce as a young abolitionist.
William lives in a society that is racist and prejudice to anyone not of their skin color. Great Britain in
the late 1700 s, was a society dominated by the upper class who opposed changes in their way of life.
To achieve this they lived a glamorous life, looking down on those below them in the social order. At
first William does not outright show his feeling about slavery but subtly shows it by being a worker of
God. To him a worker of God was one who made decisions and based their actions upon what they
believed God wanted. In the beginning of the film, As a game of poker occurs with other members of
Parliament in a bar, William plays against the Duke of Clarence a strong believer in slavery. The duke
gambles off his young black coach driver, and Wilberforce slams down his cards in anger and storms
off. Although he

Porter Airline Case Study
Executive Summary
Porter Airlines is a continued success in the short haul air travel business. Its low cost structure has
enabled them to be proactive in the industry and gain a fairly large market share. Porter s strategic
successes include its quick turnaround time upon departure and arrival, its competitive ticket
pricing, web ticket sales and its exceptional customer service. In addition, Porter s low cost and low
maintenance on their Q400 turboprops give them a competitive advantage as they are put in par with
regional jets; they only need 35% capacity to break even. Furthermore, Porter increasingly becomes
more successful with its established methodical growth. In addition, Porter s success as an entrant ...

By offering lower fare
prices than other competitors, Porter airlines will regain revenue and take away competitors market
shares as they have a cost advantage compared to its competitors.
Preferred Alternative:
Due to the competitive nature of this market, Porter Airlines should base its operation strategy on their
cost advantage and provide high quality services to enhance buyers experience. Porter Airlines should
establish itself as the short haul carrier of choice by providing superior customer service, convenient
and high frequency flights to customers in order to gain market shares to be sustainable in long term.
Issue 2:
While continuing on its expansion plan, Porter Airline faces many issues raised by limited resources.
Although Porter Airline has many competitive advantages such as excellent brand name, exclusive
control of the airport, low operating costs, innovated quiet aircrafts and methodical growth; expanding
beyond its current operating level would be risky. Since Porter Airline charges low cost to customers,
the high volume of customers will offset company s profit margin. There will be a need for more
funding if Porter Airline decides to expand its business; which they would be a requirement to hire
more people, purchase more aircrafts and pay more landing fees to destination airports. In order
to maintain its high quality

  • 2. Global Environmental Problems Global environmental problems have taken a turn for the worst in recent years. For water pollution, carbon emissions, and hurricanes have been at their highest peak in 2017. These issues have only begun to get worse due to power plants, burning of fossil fuels, and several other environmentally hazardous factories. In just 2017, six major hurricanes have occurred due to a combination of climate change, warming of the oceans, air and water pollution, overpopulation, and several other environmental polluters. Countries, including the United States of America, are drastically being affected by these events, some more than others. Global environmental problems have increased over the years and will continue to grow worse if actions are not taken to change this pattern. If the population continues to grow exponentially, like it is now, Homo sapiens will drastically feel the effects of global environmental changes including a lack of water, polluted waters and air, and a drastically lower life expectancy. According to the article, Food by World Wildlife 7.3 billion people live on this Earth and all together we consume 1.6 times what Earth s natural resources can offer us (1). With this statistic alone, it is prevalent that if we continue to consume more than what Earth can offer us, we will run out of natural resources. Running out of natural resources such as food will drastically affect the Homo sapiens race as well as all life forms on Earth. Environmental storms will ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 4. Imagery In Grendel We often rely on imagery, a literary device that uses vivid descriptions and appeals to the senses, in our storytelling to point out the important facts in our stories. It helps our audience picture the scene and understand the severity of the situation. In my opinion, a well written scene can be incredibly meaningful and thought provoking with the help of imagery, sometimes even more so than a photograph. In literature, this is no different. At the beginning of the novel, the ram irritates Grendel because of the way it mindlessly follows its instincts and mechanical urges. Then comes the bull who can do no real harm to Grendel, since he can easily dodge its horns, but the bull repeatedly charges at Grendel without altering its approach at all. Grendel finds the bull s stupidity and inability to think amusing, laughing scornfully at the animal. Yet, several times in the novel he berates himself for being as mechanical as anything else. We see his extreme frustration at this state expressed in his encounter with the goat, which most vividly and grotesquely represents the plight of the machine. • 5. The Importance Of Clean Drinking Water In India One of the biggest challenges facing the world today is the emphasis on providing clean water to everyone throughout the world. This is a fairly easy task in wealthier countries with strong central governments which establish regulations on how waterways are maintained and treated, however in developing countries like India the task is insurmountable. With India s population soon to surpass China by 2022 , there is a huge concern in the lack of clean drinking water for many of their citizens (Riley, 2015). If India s population is going to continue to rise at the rates it is experiencing today, the government must create more initiatives to alter the poor hygiene practices by its citizens, to ensure everyone has access to clean drinking water. One of the biggest problems facing India s access to clean water is the practice of improper hygiene, which is seen from the astronomical amount of people that presently practice open defecation or someone defecating outside in the open. The practice stems from early human civilization, but without much emphasis on the problem over the past century, it has continued to rise with India s rising population. In India, a staggering 522 million of their citizens practice open defecation (India, n.d.). This is an extreme cause for concern in a country that has such a dense population due to its population size compared to the countries overall size. What this entails is that even if the amount of people who practice open defecation ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Also the Europeans brought over more advanced weapons and were able to take over the Native Americans, and this lead to the American Holocaust and shows the effect on the Native American people. The American Holocaust was a time that was damaging for the Native American people. It was a time that dealt with the invasion of the Spanish and European people. One aspect that made it a damaging time for the Native Americans, was the lack of weapons that they had compared to the advanced technology of their enemy s. • 7. Rhetorical Analysis Of Malcom X Malcom X gives his speech during a time in American history when equality and civil rights between blacks and whites had not yet been established. Like Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Malcom X also fought for the civil rights of Black Americans in the 1960s, but using different tactics. Malcom X was angry that Congress had opposed bills that were intended to support the equality and civil liberties of African Americans. In the North, where Blacks were allowed to vote, White politicians came to Black communities with promises they did not intend to keep in exchange for black votes. Malcom X urged the African American community to fight in order to gain the equal rights they deserved, by either through immediate grant of the vote (the ballot) and if denied the vote, blacks should engage in violent opposition to the white rule (the bullet). Malcom X s stature as a civil rights leader and prominent figure in the Nation of Islam helped strengthen these appeals. Throughout his speech, Malcom X shifts between various tones to make his speech more impactful towards his audience. He mainly spoke in an assertive tone, which proved the seriousness of his arguments. During his rhetoric appeals, it is evident that X moved into subtle changes of mood and tone to captivate the emotions of his audience. Malcom X delivered his speech on April 3, 1964. • 9. Satire In Northanger Abbey Satire is a literary device used by writers typically to critique society or an individual. It can be done a variety of ways, including humor, irony, and ridicule. An example of a writer using satire to critique society would be Jane Austen s Northanger Abbey. Using a variety of techniques, Austen criticizes how society viewed novels and the people who write them by parodying common tropes in novels. Most novels just want to pull the reader in, and make them forget that they are reading a novel, but Austen does not allow this. The very first line in Northanger Abbey is No one who had ever seen Catherine Morland in her infancy, would have supposed her born to be a heroine (1). By pointing out that the main character is supposed to be the heroine, Austen draws attention to the fact that this is a novel. However, while Catherine is in fact a heroine, it is also states from the beginning that she does not match the expectations of the average heroine. So right from the beginning, the reader knows that while this is a novel, it is not going to be a typical one. It is in fact, going to parodying and critiquing some common aspects of novels. Austen continues on, and not so subtly points out the ways that Catherine differs from the heroines normally found in novels. For Catherine s ...situation in life, the character of her father and mother, her own person and disposition were all equally against her (Austen 1). She was fairly normal and did not have any of the commonly used characteristics of heroines working in her favor, despite being a heroine herself. Austen writes Catherine this was to parody the way women are written in novels. There normally has to be some catalyst that makes the heroine special, different than the average women. However, Catherine wasn t incredibly poor, had two well tempered parents, and preferred other hobbies ...to the more heroic enjoyments... (Austen 1) that heroines were normally fond of. By completely disregarding the characteristics normally attributed to heroines, Austen creates a character that would not fit into the normal novel. • 10. Music Therapy And Its Effect On Children Music plays an important role in everyone s life and, although the majority of people nowadays have heard of music therapy, not many are exactly sure of what it is nor are they aware of its beneficial effects (Peters 2). Children, in particular, have shown significant improvement in their disabilities when subjected to musical therapy. Music therapist Ulla Holck s studies show that music therapy can meet the basic needs of children with special needs, such as behavioral problems, attention skills, social skills, emotional needs and intersubjective skills. In addition cognitive skills can be strengthened if the basic needs are fulfilled (45). Music therapy is a process in which music is utilized to meet or enhance the individual s mental and physical health. The introduction of music therapy has always brought many benefits, no matter if in general settings or in schools and families; it is documented to ameliorate the relationship between a child and the family, as well as aid children with disabilities, such as autism, and special needs. Because of the proven effectiveness of music therapy for children with disabilities and not, parents should be encouraged to make music apart of their children s lives. There is plenty of evidence that proves that music has been utilized in therapy and healing practices since ancient times. • 11. Biography of the Seventh Earl of Shaftesbury The Seventh Earl of Shaftesbury was pre eminently a figure of Victorian England, and therefore needs to be understood within the historical context of his times. This includes what is, perhaps, the most salient motivating factor in Shaftesbury s great accomplishments in social reform and philanthropy his religion. Christianity in Victorian England was, above all else, Christianity in crisis. Those with a shallow sense of history will generally point to the publication of Darwin s Origin of Species in 1859 as if that were enough to sum up the crisis of Christianity in this time period but in reality there were massive social changes taking place in England during this time. After all, it was before Darwin that the Victorian poet and social critic Matthew Arnold wrote his famous poetic complaint about the decline of belief in England, Dover Beach : The Sea of Faith Was once, too, at the full, and round earth s shore Lay like the folds of a bright girdle furl d. But now I only hear Its melancholy, long, withdrawing roar... (Arnold 214) In Shaftesbury s lifetime, Christianity s social message was particularly endangered. The Industrial Revolution had begun in the period immediately preceding the Victorian era, and continued with remorseless rapidity throughout the Victorian period: this had led to massive inequalities of wealth, combined with the total erosion of traditional ways of life in the rural period, causing the displaced poor to move to cities. They are viewed by the other animals of the jungle, or the Jungle People as they call themselves, as outcasts and outlaws. The most prominent chapter they occur in, Kaa s Hunting , shows their lawless, shiftless, and uncivilized way of life. This image in itself does not give off any racist undertone. However, Disney s adaption of The Jungle Book carries this view of the monkeys, while also giving them strong attributes that are commonly associated with African Americans. One of the first differences between the book and the movie is presented when Mowgli is introduced to the monkey leader King Louie, whose voice acting is done by the jazz singer Louie Prima (The Jungle Book). As previously mentioned, in the original story of The Jungle Book the monkey people are leader less. The choice of Louis Prima as the voice actor for King Louie is a significant selection. Louis Prima was a famous swing and jazz singer from New Orleans in the mid 20th century. Although Louie Prima was Caucasian, the jazz and swing genre of music is predominantly considered an African American art form. His musical style, which included a harsh, raspy voice and scat singing, was greatly influenced by the famous African American jazz singer Louie Armstrong. Louie Prima implements this musical style in King Louie s character as he even scats when he sings with Baloo. All of the passengers relied upon White Star Line to take them to New York safely. Therefore, the crew on Titanic owed duty of care to not only provide food and comfort, but more importantly safety to the passengers. Breach of duty occurs when defendant s action has created risk of harm to others. In this case, the plaintiff believes that the crew of the Titanic behaved in unreasonable manner in many ways. The actions of the crew members resulted in the Titanic struck a large iceberg and eventually sank causing large casualties, so the duty of care was breached. Causation in fact is determined by the but for test, which means if it was not for the defendant s breach of duty, harm or injury would not have occurred. Proximate cause is when the connection between the action (breach of duty) and the injury is strong enough to impose liability. • 26. Acceptance In Peter Skrzynecki s Immigrant Chronicle An individual s feeling of acceptance is directly affected by their sense of belonging in the world, through coming to terms upon where they truly do and do not belong. This sense of acceptance is heavily reliant on an individual s attitude and experiences, as it revolves around where they seem to belong in a society, culture, or environment, and their realization of place in the world. This relationship between belonging and a sense of acceptance is explored through Peter Skrzynecki s Immigrant Chronicle a series of poems published in 1975 depicting the struggle of an immigrant family establishing themselves in post WWII Australia. The struggle for finding his place is explored vividly through his works St Patricks College and Postcard , ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Both texts effectively explore and convey that an individual s sense of belonging lies fundamentally with their acceptance and place in the world. A sense of place and acceptance in the world often can only be accomplished through previously feeling disconnected or alienated; finding where an individual does not belong before recognising where they do. This cultivated sense of alienation, due to disconnection and displacement, is solemnly conveyed throughout Peter Skrzynecki s poem St Patrick s College , as the poet struggles to find connections emotionally, spiritually, or physically to the prestigious school he attends, evidently due to having no place in that particular environment. Skrzynecki stresses through the first two stanzas his immediate alienation through his forced enrolment to the impressive school by his Mother... wanting only What was best , seemingly condemning her for expecting him to flourish in an environment he did not relate with. A Windows registry Autorun key was set to provide persistence. NTLHAFD.GCP was the backdoor and was encrypted with RC4 stream cipher and compressed using the Zlib library (GReAT, 2013a). Before executing the decryption and memory load routines, the loader, NTSVCHOST.EXE, first attempted to connect to legitimate Microsoft domains (update.microsoft.com, www.microsoft.com, and support.microsoft.com) to determine if the victim computer was able to route to the internet. If the infected computer was not online, the loader would not decrypt the backdoor, NTLHAFD.GCP. When online, the loader would execute the decryption and memory load routines, and the backdoor would communicate periodically with the designated Command and Control server. From an antivirus perspective, the backdoor that was on disk was encrypted, and the more nefarious code was only in its unencrypted form while in memory. In order to reverse engineer the malware, it required either connecting to the internet or tricking the malware into believing it was on the internet. This idea has been the backbone of Republican trickle down Reagan economics and has been scarcely challenged by Democrats. America s economy as well as the global economy as a whole are facing extreme income inequality and this idea has only widened the gap. Our political system has been flooded with the money of the rich through lobbyists or super PACs, who then are the ones receiving the tax cuts and are garnering political favors by doing so, effectively moving us farther from a free and fair democracy, but rather towards oligarchy. In doing this, Hanauer seeks to bring out the duh! response out of people and relate it back to the argument at hand. The argument being that if a policy maker who believed that the rich and businesses are job creators and therefore should not be taxed, would make policy equally as lousy. Although he incites the emotional response in the reader he also backs it up with facts and his experience as one of the plutocrats. But if no one could have afforded to buy what we had to sell, my businesses would have all failed and all those jobs would have evaporated. He uses this to pivot to his next point, which is the main point of the argument: That s why I can say with confidence that rich people don t create jobs, nor do businesses, large or small. Kingston writes using the narrative voice of her younger self, named Maxine and Achebe tells his story through an unnamed narrator who has insight into multiple character s minds. The narrator speaks in a way that embraces Igbo culture and tradition, including stories and songs in traditional Igbo, with a full understanding of the importance of language in this culture. However, as the novel progresses, the view of the narrator slowly changes, coming to a apex in the very end of the book as the District Commissioner notes that the story of Okonkwo could make for an interesting paragraph in his upcoming book. The narrator, speaking through the mind of the District Commissioner, is a much colder and aggressive voice than heard throughout the rest of the novel. The start of that development occurred on vacation without my parents attending. Like any other child, I became very enthusiastic of the whole idea of freedom and self guidance. After the majority of the trip, I became uninterested with self guidance and I wanted to rely on the adults to plan fun filled activities. • 37. Analysis Of Proposition Of Rational Expectations,... CHAPTER ELEVEN STUDY WITH INVARIANCE PROPOSITION OF RATIONAL EXPECTATIONS 11.1 Introduction The concept of Invariance Proposition of Rational Expectations, developed by Lucas, Sargent and Wallace in early seventies, presents the idea that the anticipated part of money supply affects price level. Since the present work is devoted to study the relationship between money supply and price level, the Invariance Proposition theory of rational expectation can be applied to examine the relationship between anticipated money supply and price level. In order to apply Invariance Proposition theory in examining the impact of anticipated money supply on price level, we need to estimate the anticipated money supply. There are several procedures to estimate the anticipated money supply; the present study has applied ARIMA structures of narrow and broad money supply for the estimation of anticipated money supply. After identifying anticipated money supply, a regression equation has been performed taking price level as dependent variable and anticipated money supply as explanatory variable. 11.2 ARIMA Model for M1 Money Supply In order to quantify anticipated money supply, the ARIMA model has been applied. In the essay The Plastic Pink Flamingo: A Natural History by Jennifer price; the author shows implicitly her idea and point of view on the topic on the United States culture. The idea is that the U.S.A s culture is very overbearing, this is shown by her view on how Americans are so worried with their image that is seen by society. Price uses many writing techniques to express her view on United States culture, by the usage of diction, tone, and symbolism Price is able to convey her analysis on the greed and the corruption occurring in the American culture. Just examining the title the reader already understands that the author is going to be using an ironic and sarcastic tone in her writing; The Plastic Pink Flamingo : A Natural History. The flamingo is plastic while natural may implied that is naturally made, while a plastic flamingo is actually man made. The reader gets another taste of her sarcastic tone with the first two sentences of the essay; first, it was a flamingo . As if the italics weren t enough to notice her sarcastic tone on making such an obvious comment, as if a pink flamingo could be anything but a flamingo. It is quite evident that price did this on purpose she wanted to be sarcastic to show her point on how a simple thing as a flamingo can become the symbol of wealth in the eyes of Americans. The author continues with using more irony in her work by actually saying that something Americans did was ironic. This was a little ironic, since Americans had hunted flamingos to extinction in Florida... what price is saying is that once Americans wanted flamingos for their meat, fast forward a hundred years now the flamingo is almost being worship by the way it is use all across the nation In the 1950s, namesake Flamingo motels, restaurants, and lounges cropped up across the country... .The authors finds it ironic how Americans change their ideas about something that was once meaningless into something that everyone must have as soon as it is cool enough.
