Advantages And Disadvantages Of Roller-Compacted Concrete
Roller compacted concrete (RCC) is a stiff mixture of aggregates, cementitious materials, and
water with zero slump. RCC is consolidated or compacted in the fresh state by use of a roller with
or without vibration. RCC typically is placed with asphalt paving equipment in thicknesses of 4 to
8 inches for pavement application. RCC has gained the attention of the paving industry in recent
years and is becoming more popular day by day because of its low cost, rapid construction, and
durable performance. The energy required to compact RCC mixtures to their maximum densities is
much greater than for concreteof measurable slump. The largest difference between RCC mixtures
and conventional concrete mixtures is that RCC has a higher percentage of fine... Show more

(ii) Low unit costs of RCC: The unit cost of low paste mass concrete is favorable; to reduce the
heat of hydration a significant portion of cement is usually replaced by locally available
pozzolanic materials or fly ash.
(iii) Incorporation of spillway into dam body: Due to the slope of the downstream face of 1:0.8
(gravity dams) to 1:0.4 (arch gravity dams), the spillway can directly be incorporated into the dam
body which helps to accommodate large floods and which are in need of large spillways.
(iv) Use of shape of conventional dams: Because the stresses in gravity type dams are low, the
cross sections of RCC dams are the same as those of conventional dams.
(v)Heat generation: RCC is more favorable while taking into consideration the heat dissipation
which always remains a vital issue for mass concreting structures.
Because of the above advantages, RCC dams are interesting alternatives to conventional dams in
most parts of the world. An example of RCC dam is shown in the Figure 1 built along Santa Cruz
River in Argentina popularly known as Puerto Santa Cruz Dam

How The Invention Of The Diesel Engine Changed In The...
The invention of the Diesel engine changed the way people lived in the industrial revolution. It
had countless long term consequences both positive and negative. Firstly, the Diesel engine
helped businesses, and people selling goods flourish in their businesses. The engine not only
helped the selling and accessibility of goods in the short term, it also aided the economy in the
long term. The invention of the Diesel engine meant that goods were more accessible and money
could be gained quicker. The Diesel engine has some very terrible long term effects. Still today the
diesel engine is one of the biggest producers of pollution. Studies have shown that a Diesel engine
emits four times more toxic pollution than a bus. (Carrington, D. (2015).

The Natural Disaster Of New Orleans
Hurricanes are among one of the most damaging forces of nature that exist in regards to a natural

adversity before when it comes to natural disasters. Furthermore it has been documented that
during the past century hurricanes have flooded New Orleans at least five times: in 1915, 1940,
1947, and 1965. Consequently New Orleans has always been at risk, though due to its
geographical location being that it is utterly bounded by mass amounts of water. Engineers created

Essay about Every Little Girl’s Idol
For sure, little girls more often than not are prone to fantasize about their future and how they
will turn out to be when they re grown up. The future for each little girl is a world full of
challenges, surprises and expectations, not to mention fear and excitement. In other words, the
future is not yet seen in a girl s mind but, she wants to get a glimpse of it, that is why, playing
with dolls and girly items are a little girl s attempts to fantasize or at least get an idea of what she
will look like in the future. Thus, Barbie dolls are great for little girls to play with. It s all about

they call the IT GIRL or the superstar. Being labelled as an IT Girl is some kind of an honour for
girls, for IT Girls have stunning physical features not to mention them having bizarre desires in
life. A perfect example of that IT Girl is Barbie. According to Bellis (2004.), Barbie has the
height which is 11.5 inches tall, giving a height of 5 feet 9 inches making it an ideal height for
some models in the industry. Also, her vital statistics have been estimated at 36 inches (chest),
18 inches (waist) and 33 inches (hips). Come to think of it, if someone who has that vital
statistics in real world, she would be one of the sexiest women on earth who has tremendous
curves all over her body. As a consequence of Barbie being an IT Girl , the fantasies of young
girls are ignited to the highest level of amusement. While they dress and make adjustment to their
Barbie Dolls, young girls could not resist giggling. Plain to see, young girls idolized Barbie and
harbour sensational feelings that when they grow up, they too would be like the perfect and
beautiful Barbie, with all the perfect curves and bulges in the right places. This means that, young
girls are dreaming that sooner or later, they too would have a perfect anatomy for a

Romanticism In Sense And Sensibility
In the eighteenth century, reason and emotion no longer worked together. Emotion was kept down
and was considered inferior. Social conventions were more important than individual convictions.
In other words people considered form more significant than content. As regard art, this period was
called Classical period. The opposite of this was slowly being prepared to burst out at the time of
the French Revolution. This period was called Romantic.
What Romanticism tried to do was stir all the way through the Age of Reason so in this case man
and nature became fused through participation in the one mighty being , so that the most elemental
natural objects became humanised . The term of sensibility emerged as a concept in the
Enlightenment Era but continued to be defined during the Romantic period and beyond. This new
concept describes people s capacity to be affected by the world around them. It also directly
correlates their emotional capabilities with their moral development. A high moral standard should
result in an appropriate emotional response. What was considered appropriate was different for men
and women, however. People thought that sensibility led ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

A Comparison Of Gothicism InThe Fall Of The House Of Usher...
Question 1
When I hear the word Gothicism I quickly think of vampires and the paranormal. Gothicism
makes us feel uncomfortable and turns that sense of weird to outright strange. There are two
literatures that really show this weird to strange comparison which is The Fall of the House of
Usher and Ligeia both of which were written by Edgar Allan Poe. Both works have this
preternatural vibe which reminds me of the vampire diaries due to the line or link between the
natural and the super natural. I find that in Poe s stories we as readers could read it in many
different ways. Hints like the noises in the house from the Fall of the House of Usher makes us
think its Rodericks dead sister, in fact it was actually the house falling apart. Though how can
one know a house is falling apart if one is addicted to opium and bed ridden. And if the opium
was not enough to kill someone what about the fungi which produces carbon dioxide. I believe if
we put opium and carbon dioxide together there is defiantly weird turning into outright strange.
Ligeia on the other hand reminds me of something out of a Stephen King book, the popular book
/movie IT immediately came to mind due the background of IT. In short IT was actually from
another dimension/planet and the name Ligeia sounds like something from another dimension
/planet as well. The thing that makes Ligeia so noticable is her eyes, Poe said it best by describing
her eyes as mysterious For eyes we have no models in the remotely

The Emergence Of Market Society
The whole society has become a market. Societies used to consist of people that were governed by
certain ideologies, laws, and practices. Being driven by capitalism, society has developed
everything into a commodity, in which we now call a market society. Other socio economic
communities historically had concepts that were different from what is predominated in our
present society. The emergence of market society establishes the great transformation from a
traditional society to a market economy that has greatly impacted societal workplaces, and beliefs
around ideological conditions. The emergence of market society starts with the self regulating
system called the market economy (Polanyi, 1957, P. 68). Self regulation indicates that the... Show

As a result, the Industrial Revolution lead to the great transformation of the market society. The
economy grew and people used labour as commodity that endures the greatest societal
consequence. Since the market relied on this commodity, human rights were at a disadvantage to
the economy. There is no such thing as a self regulating market because people believe that the
economy can build a system based on false commodities (Polanyi, 1957, P. 75). Society faces an
economic problem that provides for the material well being of the society, meaning we produce
and exchange the basic necessities in order to survive. If mankind does not live by bread alone, it
is obvious that it cannot live without bread (Heilbroner, P. 1). The economic problem arises
because human nature struggles for existence which is derived from scarcity (Heilbroner, 1993, P.
4). This problem presents itself critically and uniquely as it is shown through economic history that
people struggle for survival. Society has to organize a system of providing enough production for
everyone and being able to distribute them properly. Other than market society, there are two other
overarching systems found in other societies, tradition and command. For a traditional economy,
production and distribution are constructed by procedures designed

Platypus Vs Constitution
What do a platypus and the Constitution of the United States have in common? There have never
been and will never be anything like them again. Of course, for the platypus, that is obvious
because God created all animals uniquely. But the Constitution is a different story. It was the first
of its kind. No country had ever attempted a government like it before. So what makes it special? It
was the blueprint for a democratic republic, and it actually worked. The Constitution has one main
pillar that has supported it for the last 2 centuries. This is its precise balance of the power held by
the government. To accomplish this, the Constitution specifically states what powers Congress and
the president have. The government may not exceed these

U.S. Foreign policy from 1890 1930
American foreign policy from 1890 1930 was driven primarily by our businesslike economic
and strategic considerations based on American self interest. With westward expansion over,
there had to be a new way for the United States to continue expansion. In the name of
maintaining our innovative spirit and political ideology, our conquest for money, resources and
trade took us outside of our borders for the first time. After all, how could we continue this
upward monetary and resource tick if we didn t expand? All countries are very self centered and

In 1890 the government passed the Naval Act and began to build. Nearly ten years later our fleet
had grown to 160 vessels, with 6 of those being battleships. This aggressive approach to a bigger

During this same time, another influential territory was Hawaii. With American businessman being
captivated by its lucrative sugar industry, we quickly made several trade agreements causing nearly
all of Hawaii s sugar production to be exported to the United States.
The Spanish American War was a war focused on control over Cuba. As previously stated, Spain

The long term goal for the Grant Administration was to open Korea to Western markets in the
same way Commodore Matthew Perry had opened Japan in 1854 by a Naval display of military
force. On May 30, 1871 Rear Admiral John Rodgers with a fleet of five ships, part of the Asiatic
Squadron, arrived at the mouth of the Salee River below Seoul. The fleet included theColorado,
one of the largest ships in the Navy with 47 guns, 47 officers, and a 571 man crew. While
waiting for senior Korean officials to negotiate, Rogers sent ships out to make soundings of the
Salee River for navigational purposes.[118][119] The American fleet was fired upon by a Korean
fort, but there was little damage. Rogers gave the Korean government ten days to apologize or
begin talks, but the Royal Court kept silent. After ten days passed, on June 10, Rogers began a
series of amphibious assaults that destroyed 5 Korean forts. These military engagements were
known as the Battle of Ganghwa. Several hundred Korean soldiers and three Americans were
killed. Korea still refused to negotiate, and the American fleet sailed away. The Koreans refer to
this 1871 U.S. military action as Shinmiyangyo. President Grant defended Rogers in his third

U.S. negotiated a treaty the first treaty between Korea and a Western nation.[118] 2 Grant was a

The challenge relating to the custom procedures for the importation of water testing was also due to
the unclear of administrative procedures. The field investigator wanted to import the water testing
without paying import tax as the water tests were not for profit. However, in order to be

foreign organisation indicating that these tests are not for profit, the approvals at ministerial level

As we know, counterfeit drugs/medicines are not made in the same factories as the original ones.
It may not even be made at a sanitary area and so whatever germs and microbes are present there,
may crawl into the products as well. People who concoct these fake medicines includes all kinds of
chemicals just to make it look like the real thing. Harmful chemical are one thing that should be not

Treatments with ineffective counterfeit drugs/medicines such as antibiotic can lead to emergence
of resistant organisms and may have a deleterious effect on a wide section of the population. In

Descriptive Statistics
The spatiotemporal pattern of water quality in the Reedy Fork and Buffalo Creek watersheds
exhibits a trend of river deterioration, mainly due to Fecal Coliform. Our study suggests that most
of the pollution sources were related to human activities. Looking at table 2a to 5b, it is clear that,
F.Col, coliform is the dominant parameter with the highest means in all the sites, both at the Reedy
Fork and Buffalo Creek watersheds. However, there are higher mean values of this nutrient in the
Buffalo Creek watershed than the Reedy Fork creek watershed. This is clearly visible by looking at
the variation in mean variable concentrations for the individual sites through the years under study
from the graphs.
In comparison to the States Standards in table 10, Fecal Coliform for sites 7, 8, 9, 12, 17, and 18,

Family The Taino Indians had sturdy familial ties and related families lived together. They lived
in very organized kingdoms and small villages, their order was decided by the chiefs. The Taino
s appearance was bronze colored, average height, dark, flowing coarse hair, and dark and
slightly oblique dark eyes. The men were typically naked or sported a breech cloth called nagua.
Single women walked around naked, while married women wore an apron made of cotton or
palm fibers to cover their genitalia. The length of the apron determined their rank size. The
Taino culture was a polygamous one. The male cacique as the leader was permitted to have
more wives than the other men in the villages. A woman whom was married to a cacique was
considered a great honor. Church Among the Taino community, there was a hierarchy of creators.
The Yocahu was the highest creator. Jurakan was constantly angry and governed the power of

Carl Sandburg vs John McPhee
How do Carl Sandburg and John McPhee writings attitudes towards his subjects affect your
reaction? Questions that need to be answered to write a response are does Carl Sandburg and John
McPhee convey why his subject is important? Is the description of Abraham Lincoln or Arthur Ashe
better? What main impression does each writer want to convey? How did the writers attitudes
toward the subjects affect my reaction?
The first question to answer is how does Carl Sandburg and John McPhee convey why his subject is
important? The writing of A Lincoln Preface is a upstanding writing that Carl Sandburg wrote.
Carl describes extremely well what Lincoln looked like and how Lincoln was a good person.
Carl also put his own interpretation into his writing. For example on page 456 Carl wrote He is
the chosen spokesman you can tell that he loved the way Lincoln spoke and he put his own
opinion on it. John McPhee did the same thing in his writings. John knew how his character was it
was almost like he knew the person because he knew his mother died and how Arthur Ashe died
too. Also John McPhee also used his own interpretation in his writing. He made it feel like you

Essay on Sexual Harassment
In today s society we constantly hear or read about individuals that claim they were a victim of
sexual pressure. These instances can take place at work, school, the military and even at church.
But exactly what is sexual exploitation or unwanted sexual behavior? After looking at several
definitions for sexual abuse I came across the following definition that I feel will help all of us to
better understand what inappropriate sexual behavior is. Sexual harassmentwas defined by The
Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) as unwelcome advances and requests for
sexual behavior or conditional requests such as a person s employment will continue if they
perform these acts. (Gale Group, 2003). This definition left me thinking and... Show more content

Please also keep in mind that a harasser can be male or female and can be of the same sex as the
victim. The harasser may not always know that they are being offensive but if the other person is
uncomfortable and has stated this to them then he or she should stop before legal action is brought
forth.
Some women may even prefer not to report any allegations of being pressured sexually for fear of
what might happen to them if they do. Although it is not lawful to retaliate against an individual
for exposing employment practices that discriminate many people would seek retaliatory efforts.
Therefore there are many women who feel it may be better for them to suffer in silence than to deal
with revengeful or vindictive tactics such as being denied promotions or being scorned by other
women who may think that the victim is pressing charges for attention. Because of the nature of
such unprofessional behavior the victim may find him or herself very alone and no one wants to go
through that especially after suffering through the harassment itself.
Being sexually abused can have similar effects like rape in which the victim falls prey to
depression, shame and guilt. Being depressed can lead to anxiety problems, an increase or
decrease in weight as well as a lack of self confidence and self respect. They may experience the
loss of trust in familiar people and places. The victim can become withdrawn and if they are

Beowulf will forever be praised for his heroic deed for ...no better king had ever/ Lived, no
prince so mild, no man/ So open to his people, so deserving of praise (l. 895 897). Overall,
Beowulf is a better ruler than Arthur because although Arthur had remarkable morals and
intentions, he was not praised nor respected like Beowulf. If there is no respect for a leader, than
how can one be a good leader? Beowulf s men cherished him and believed in him. They had his
back for every choice he made. After Arthur decided to not accuse his wife of treason, some of
his men betrayed and left him. Also, Beowulf had no gluttony and did not desire any gold or
riches. He was generous and gave all to his people. For example, Beowulf admirably states, I
sold my life/ For this treasure and I sold it well (l. 809 810). His relief upon seeing the treasure
demonstrates his desire to leave something to his citizens. Beowulf made the Danes a peaceful
people once again, making him one of their greatest kings and heroes. While Arthur had
charismatic qualities and benevolent morals, Beowulf, in a modern society, would be most
likeable because he was a more sufficient leader. Every hero desires to be remembered for more
than one heroic inclination. To protect mankind from evil, to use his powers to rescue his family

The role of the judge is the disinterested application of known law. He or she seeks to resolve
controversies between individuals and the State and its citizens. In criminal case the trial
happens in front of a single judge or a judge and a jury. Historically the alternative was trial by
combat. http://www.ehall.ie) Jurors are very important in the justice system. They are selected
at random and are sworn to give a verdict based on the evidence given in a court case the
assumption is that ordinary people applying their common sense can arrive at a fair and
reasonable verdict. Juries need to decide on facts which are often disputed. They are usually
present at criminal trials. They have to decide if the accused person is guilty or innocent. The
guilt of an accused person has to be proved beyond reasonable doubt. Civil cases do not
generally have a jury. (http://www.courts.ie) Courts system in Ireland Children Court The

Essay about Biography of Patrick Henry
Biography of Patrick Henry
Is life so dear or peace so sweet as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery? These noble,
forthright words were spoken by a fiery young patriot and great orator who had dedicated his life
to the goal of winning rights for the people of America.
Patrick Henry was born on May 29 of the year 1736 in Studley, Hanover County, Virginia. He grew
up in a Presbyterian believing home, Patrick s father, John Henry, was a Scott, who taught Patrick
most of his schooling until he was about fifteen.
As Patrick grew up, people found him to be a charming, bright young boy with a gentle, sweet
spirit and a good sense of humor. Yet he was still a boy, who loved to hunt... Show more content on

There he met a girl named Sarah Shelton. They spent a lot of time together that year and in the
summer of 1754, they got married. Their dowry was a lovely little homestead with a few acres.
With only a few slaves and himself, they soon found that it was not enough to live on with a
brand new baby boy. Then, one dry summer, their little home was burnt to the ground by a brush
fire. This devastating occurrence left the young Henry family completely broke and homeless,
and all they had left was themselves and their slaves. They then moved into the second story of
the Shelton s house until Patrick could find another job. Sarah was not well after this devastation,
and she was taken care of by her family when Patrick was away. Patrick first went to the closest
large town to look for a friend of his, Thomas Jefferson. Patrick knocked at the door of the office,
was invited in, and for a moment could not find where the speaker was from all the books
surrounding the walls, covering the floors and cluttered on the desk. Jefferson was surprised yet
not unhappy that Patrick had come to visit him and inquired what he had come for. I have come to
ask what I must do to become a lawyer, was the reply. Completely taken aback by this sudden
determination, Jefferson at first tried to persuade

The Vaccine War Essay
Through the rise of technological advances in medicine, the vaccine has changed the world for the
greater good of the human race. Making a great triumph and virtually eliminating an array of life
threatening diseases, from smallpox to diphtheria, thus adding approximately thirty years to many
humans life spans. Although, a new complication has arisen, possibly linking neurological
digression with this rise of new vaccines. Such a digression has forced parents to exempt their
children from receiving vaccinations and brought forth mental anguish affecting the minds of many.
In the Frontline episode The VaccineWar, a progressively distressful debate ensues among many
scientists and doctors within the public health system and an... Show more content on

In addition, several celebrities make an appearance to illustrate their views on this matter.
Celebrities such as former Playboy Playmate Jenny McCarthy and companion Jim Carrey as well
as an appearance from a Redskins cheerleader Desiree Jennings, all who claim there is a
connection between vaccines and neurological disorders. Though there is a vast amount of
compelling data from both sides of the spectrum this issue has yet to be resolved because the
situation is very complicated. Furthermore, the debate has escalated far beyond just the medical
risks and benefits but now has an ideological principle regarding a parent s decision and
governmental confines. Scientist Hank Jennings says, They still want it to be a choice. They don t
want it to be compulsory (Palfreman, 2010). Additionally, despite the scientific fact that vaccines
are safe, government rule regarding parental choice is another component increasing the fight
against vaccines. Throughout The Vaccine War, the particular theory exemplified on the human
behavior is Cognitive Dissonance Theory. Cognitive Dissonance Theory is a notion created by
Leon Festinger that disputes that dissonance is an awkward feeling that encourages people to take
action to diminish it. This theory is composed of two components: cognitions and cognitive
dissonance. Cognitions are defined as, ways of knowing,

A Career in the Construction Industry
Today is the day you ll find out that I would want to pursue a career in construction in the soon to
come future. After researching, I came to realize that construction working could suit me job wise
in the future. No matter how risky being a construction worker may be, I know I could find
closure doing the job, just knowing the things I will break down will soon be built back up in a
better condition for whoever may reside there.
To become a construction worker in the future, this website I found informed that I d have to
work full time and execute a lot of physically demanding work, meaning I ll be working all from
the morning to the whole entire day into the night and most likely be very physically tired.
It s not like you ll be stuck in a cubicle in the same office every day, because you won t. There is
always a new work site to go to. The same website also states the majority of construction workers
learn their trade through short term on the job training, and no specific education requirements for
the job are needed. The website also spared some things about license, and certifications stating
that laborers who remove hazardous materials like hazardous material, must have a federal
hazardous material license required for all hazardous materials removal workers, depending on the
work, laborers might need to have specific certifications, and certifications can really help workers
prove that they have knowledge to perform the more complex tasks.
The website talked about

Review Of The Summer Of 2010 By Elie Saab Essay
In the summer of 2010, Elie Saab was confronted with many challenging decisions for the company,
during his meeting with company manager director Churchi Cavalcanti. The main topic of
discussion during this meeting was to grow the brand in new and existing markets while
maintaining the brand s exclusivity and position as one of the few remaining established brands in
Haute couture. (Kayyal Shuayto, 2012) The company s success in the last five years has shown a
large growth in the ready to wear (RTW) product line. As stated in the case, While revenues have
been growing rapidly, 2007 showed a 27 percent growth compared to 2006 and 2008 grew by a
staggering 49 per cent compared to the previous year. Operating expenses also decreased during
the same time period. (Kayyal Shuayto, 2012) The company is on the right track and looking to
expand and maintain their momentum. On the other hand, management has been struggling with
factors such as, which partners they should go into business with and what new markets they
should penetrate to create the maximal level of growth. In this analysis, I will analyze the current
position of the company both analytically and quantitatively. I will use this knowledge to make
the most logical decision for the future of this company. Elie Saab was born in Beriut, Lebanon in
1964 and at a very young age he started experimenting with material and drawing sketches for his
sisters. At the young age of eighteen he decided to open

RCC is consolidated or compacted in the fresh state by use of a roller with or without vibration. RCC typically is placed with asphalt paving equipment in thicknesses of 4 to 8 inches for pavement application. RCC has gained the attention of the paving industry in recent years and is becoming more popular day by day because of its low cost, rapid construction, and durable performance. • 10. A Comparison Of Gothicism InThe Fall Of The House Of Usher... Question 1 When I hear the word Gothicism I quickly think of vampires and the paranormal. Gothicism makes us feel uncomfortable and turns that sense of weird to outright strange. There are two literatures that really show this weird to strange comparison which is The Fall of the House of Usher and Ligeia both of which were written by Edgar Allan Poe. Both works have this preternatural vibe which reminds me of the vampire diaries due to the line or link between the natural and the super natural. I find that in Poe s stories we as readers could read it in many different ways. Hints like the noises in the house from the Fall of the House of Usher makes us think its Rodericks dead sister, in fact it was actually the house falling apart. Though how can one know a house is falling apart if one is addicted to opium and bed ridden. And if the opium was not enough to kill someone what about the fungi which produces carbon dioxide. I believe if we put opium and carbon dioxide together there is defiantly weird turning into outright strange. Ligeia on the other hand reminds me of something out of a Stephen King book, the popular book /movie IT immediately came to mind due the background of IT. In short IT was actually from another dimension/planet and the name Ligeia sounds like something from another dimension /planet as well. As a result, the Industrial Revolution lead to the great transformation of the market society. The economy grew and people used labour as commodity that endures the greatest societal consequence. Since the market relied on this commodity, human rights were at a disadvantage to the economy. There is no such thing as a self regulating market because people believe that the economy can build a system based on false commodities (Polanyi, 1957, P. 75). Society faces an economic problem that provides for the material well being of the society, meaning we produce and exchange the basic necessities in order to survive. If mankind does not live by bread alone, it is obvious that it cannot live without bread (Heilbroner, P. 1). The economic problem arises because human nature struggles for existence which is derived from scarcity (Heilbroner, 1993, P. 4). This problem presents itself critically and uniquely as it is shown through economic history that people struggle for survival. Society has to organize a system of providing enough production for everyone and being able to distribute them properly. A central depressant activity, expressed by a strong sedative effect associated with anxiolytic effect, was also observed (14). Sedative and Anxiolytic activity: Lyophilized aqueous extract of Euphorbia hirta L. (Euphorbiaceae) has been evaluated for behavioral effects in mice. Sedative properties could be confirmed with high doses (100 mg of dried plant/kg, and more), by a decrease of behavioral parameters measured in non familiar environment tests, whereas anticonflict effects appeared at lower doses (12.5 and 25 mg of dried plant/kg), by an enhancement of behavioral parameters measured in the staircase test and in the light/dark choice situation test. These findings validate the traditional use of E. hirta as a sedative and reveal original anxiolytic properties (15). After looking at several definitions for sexual abuse I came across the following definition that I feel will help all of us to better understand what inappropriate sexual behavior is. The harasser may not always know that they are being offensive but if the other person is uncomfortable and has stated this to them then he or she should stop before legal action is brought forth. Some women may even prefer not to report any allegations of being pressured sexually for fear of what might happen to them if they do. Although it is not lawful to retaliate against an individual for exposing employment practices that discriminate many people would seek retaliatory efforts. Therefore there are many women who feel it may be better for them to suffer in silence than to deal with revengeful or vindictive tactics such as being denied promotions or being scorned by other women who may think that the victim is pressing charges for attention. Because of the nature of such unprofessional behavior the victim may find him or herself very alone and no one wants to go through that especially after suffering through the harassment itself. If there is no respect for a leader, than how can one be a good leader? Beowulf s men cherished him and believed in him. They had his back for every choice he made.
