The Relationship Of Jesus And Christian Mentoring In The...
Mentor is characterized as a wise and trusted advocate or instructor. Although tutoring/mentoring is
not in the Bible, it gives us various cases of coaching. Moses was a great example of a mentoring
relationship. The mentoring relationship among Eli and Samuel allowed Samuel to take on tasks and
obligations that were his after Eli s demise. Jesus mentor His disciples, while Barnabas and Paul
exceeded expectations in mentoring. Jesus made His style of mentoring clear. He led so we may
follow. He stated if anybody will come after him, let them take up his cross and follow him. Since He
is our leader and we are to follow Him, Christian mentoring is a procedure subordinate upon
accommodation to Christ. Neither the mentor or mentee controls the relationship. The way toward
mentoring is portrayed by sharing, trust, and enrichment as the life and work of the two members is
changed. The mentor fills in as a model and a confided in audience. The guide depends on the Holy
Spirit to give understanding, change lives, and educate through demonstration.
Jesus and the apostles, as well as elders in the church do their work by mentoring. Peter states to be
the example of the flock, and Paul discloses to the elders at Ephesus. Paul demonstrates to the elders,
so that they may show others. If a Christian leader is not mentoring to that degree, he or she is not
satisfying their calling. God has filled the group of Christ with potential mentors other than the
individuals who are elders.

Gender Roles In The Movie Gidget
Gidget: Breaking Waves and Gender Role Gidget, a 1959 film about a young girl who falls in love
with surfing, helped establish a prominent foundation for surfing in California. To some, the film may
simply be a feel good story about surfing and American teen culture. To others, it s about breaking
stereotypical gender roles and their associated societal norms. The film released soon after World War
II and the subsequent baby boom. This was a time with gave Americans a fresh new look on life, and a
time when many young adults and teens had plenty of leisure time. Gidget also marked the end of an
era and the start of a new one. Surfing and Gidget play a monumental role in shaping this new era by
defying gender roles and leaving a lasting imprint on society. In 1950 s society, both women and men
had their place. Although men may have more opportunities and differentiation than women, they both
still have their places. Generally, a woman s literal place is in the household, often the kitchen to be
more exact. The typical housewife wears a conservative dress, heels, pearls, and possibly an apron
depending on whether they are on duty or not. This standard lifestyle of women is portrayed well
through Gidget s mother. Gidget, however, does not seem to want to follow in the footsteps of her
mother in this jail cell of a stereotypical matriarchal role. Instead of wiping cake batter off her fingers,
Gidget would rather wipe sand off her feet after a long day of surfing. While

Questions On Supply Chain Flexibility
Vickery et al. [43, p. 16] define supply chain flexibility as encompassing those flexibility dimensions
that directly impact firms customers and that are the shared responsibility of two or more functions
along the supply chain, whether internal or external to the company. (40). The 5 types of flexibility
that are present in a customer focused supply chain. The dimensions includes: product flexibility,
volume flexibility, Launch flexibility, access flexibility, Responsiveness to target markets. (40.)
Duclos et al. define SCF more precisely as the flexibility within and between all of the partners in the

Flexibility can be seen as an ability of a supply chain that helps to gain competitive advantage and
improve success. To improve the flexibility of a supply chain we suggest building up and using certain
supply chain networks. By configuring supply chain networks it is possible to design and manage an
important part of an entire supply chain. Within supply chain networks specific flexibility potentials
can be developed to realize a high degree of supply chain flexibility. An improvement in the flexibility
of an entire supply chain is necessary to achieve remarkable performance results. (45). by the design
and use of strategic supply chain networks significant improvements of supply chain flexibility can be
achieved. (45). Flexibility is the ability of a system to perform proactive and reactive adaptations of its
configuration in order to cope with internal and external uncertainties. (45). Flexibility in the vital

The Qur Spread Of Islam
The Qur an was written to help spread that word the Mohammad told.
The Old Testament accepts Islam by providing various accounts of prophets throughout the reading of
the Qur an. The Qur an lists prophets starting with Isaac and Jacob, along with the decedents of Noah,
and to finish the people that do good (86). Among these God s creation brought Adam and Eve telling
them to live in the garden and eat whatever they pleased but to stay away from the tree or they would
become a wrongdoer (7). Adam was able to repent and therefore God forgave. Moses appears multiple
times throughout the Qur an. Moses was given the Book to go to the people that did not believe with

Deep In The Bible Character Analysis
Deep in the Congolese jungle, four young American girls are thrust into a world of danger and
suffering. Their abusive father, Nathan, forces his family to enter this hostile world in order to convert
the native people to Christianity. However, his mission to glorify God is not successfully and the
traumatic journey molds the girls into the women that they eventually become. The ordeal shaped all
of the children massively, but Leah experienced the greatest shift in identity. When the Georgian
family first landed in the Congo, Leah idolized her father and was completely devoted to his stout
Baptist dogma. Yet, as the novel progressed, Leah began to understand the flaws in the stubbornness
and hatred of Nathan s ways. Eventually, by experiencing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This allows her to demonstrate tone in the mood and thoughts of Leah. Initially, Leah is very
dedicated to her father and seems to be the only one in the family who truly believes in Nathan s
mission. She exposes this in the condescending tone she expresses early on in the novel. Similar to her
father, Leah seems to think that since she is the most religiously adept that she is superior to the rest of
the family. While they squabble and work in the dirt she will perform the work of God with her father.
When describing who does which chores, Leah states, I personally set myself apart from the war on
blood parasites. I preferred to help my father work on his garden. I ve always been one for outdoor
chores anyway, burning the trash and weeding, while my sisters squabbled about the dishes and such
(Kingsolver 35). In this quote Leah demonstrates how she strives to be her father. Throughout the
book he expressed the same tone that Leah did. He thinks that he is better than everyone else and that
the way he does things is best. Any other interpretation and any other way of doing things is wrong.
Leah also demonstrates a tone of extreme meekness. She bows down to every wish of her father and
does not understand that she can confront him. Leah is a slave to him. Anything that Nathan says or
does is correct and there is no other way about it. After Nathan catches Methuselah cursing and
punishes the children, Leah comments, I didn t say so, of course. I haven t contradicted my father on
any subject, ever (66). Leah is completely afraid of her father as if he were God himself. This tone
speaks to the deep religious beliefs that Nathan has instilled in his most obedient daughter. She is
completely devoted to his cause and every word that he says; however, as she experiences the Congo
culture and becomes integrated into the Congolese independence movement, her old

Staphylococcus Pneumoniae Research Paper
Streptococcus pneumoniae, commonly called S. Pneumoniae or Pneumonccus, is a significant human
pathogenic bacterium. This bacteria can cause a wide variety of illnesses depending on where the
bacteria occupies. It is found in the respiratory tract, nasopharynx or the blood stream. Conditions that
may develop from Streptococcus Pneumoniae of the nasopharynx are: Conjunctivitis, Ottis media and
sinusitis. Conditions steaming from bacteria located in the respiratory tract are pneumonia. Conditions
that develop from hematogenous spread are: Meningitis, Bacteremia, and joint and bone infections.
Approximately 1 in 4 people carry the bacteria asymptomatically.
Signs and symptoms of Streptococcus Pneumoniae vary depending on where the bacteria is
presenting. Classic symptoms are: A sudden onset of chills, pleuritic chest pain, fever, and a cough
that produces rusty sputum. Patients with a bacteremic disease may lack respiratory symptoms and
fever. Nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea present in 15 to 20% of these patients. Elevated blood urea

Male Gaze Theory Depicted in American Pie
THE MALE GAZE THEORY AS PORTRAYED IN AMERICAN PIE
I. Introduction The position of women in the society at present has changed gradually in the last few
centuries. The role of women, as dictated by the society, is perceived by how they re presented. Since
the last three centuries, women have always been viewed as just housewives and objects of perversion.
Media is one of the factors why women are perceived as secondary to men. This is why media has a
major influence to the humanity because it can reach almost all the parts of the world. May it be in
print media or in film productions; women are always depicted as inferior and submissive to men s
desires. There have been different movements aimed in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is what she developed from the theory proposed by Muvley. Studlar suggested that audience is
only overwhelmed by the cinematic representation and becomes incapable. There are two different
levels of the demonstration of the women in the society wherein they are called as the Passive and the
male as the Active . 1. A woman is an erotic object for both the characters within the film. For
example, Stiffler, a character in the American Pie movie, depicts a lady that passed by as a visual
pleasure to him. But, what if the lady looks like a big, fat loser? By that, men has the social power to
dictate whether a girl can be subscribed as beautiful or not; as a sex object or not. 2. The spectator who
is watching the film finds the woman as an erotic object. In accordance to what is cited above, the
dominance of male directors in the Hollywood scene also gives the power of judgment to its audience,
the male population. Of course, when the male characters feel that the woman being perceived is
perfect for being a visual pleasure, it tends to drive the audience in the same manner, too. These two
different perspectives show that a woman(Passive), as depicted in the Hollywood films, are just
inferior to the social control held by men(Active).
II. Logical Argument (Analysis)
Women, even at the present, are still being depicted as weak and are always perceived as to submit
themselves to the

Changes In Canada In The 19th Century
The country that we have come to call Canada, has been built and shaped by wars, and military
confrontations. In the 19th century, Canada had many conflicts that helped change and make Canada,
some of which are: The War of 1812, Rebellions of 1838, The Fenian Raids and the Red River
Rebellion. These obstacles presented, threatened the security, defense and the stability of Canada,
which was a British colony(I feel that this does not make sense). Canada relied almost exclusively on
the militia, which was composed of ordinary citizens and not a professional standing army. Although,
the militia did provide basic defense, they were not qualified enough. However, there was a growing
sentiment between the citizens of Canada. One sentiment proposed ... Show more content on

The objective of the brotherhood was to free Ireland from Great Britain by attacking Canada, A British
colony(who were the british colonie). The Battle of Ridgeway in 1866, between the Canadian militia
and the Fenians, was the greatest test to the militia to see the strength, organization, and most
importantly, was the militia the Canada s greatest defense? The battle was a complete disaster for the
militia, which was made up mostly of a Canadian militia force. Granatstien argues, militia had no
administrative organization to provide shelter or food for the called up troops, and the men had to beg
for assistance and going on and saying that the militia was deficient in nearly everything except
enthusiasm . The first test, for the militia is to actually take on a defense task by themselves, without
the British army, which was a complete failure. This battle strongly submits that the militia is actually
just a myth and not the best defense for Canada. Furthermore, the militia was flawed, the Fenians
feared the British regulars more than the militia. When the Fenians heard the British troops were
drawing near... the enemy successfully made its way back on the American side of the line. The
British army was the genuine defense of Canada not the

Steroids And Other Performance Enhancing Drugs
Steroids and other performance enhancing drugs have been banned from Major League Baseball since
1991; however, this law was not strictly enforced by the Major League Baseball Players Association
(Anabolic Steroids). The MLBPA to date has become much more involved in the issue of PED use in
the MLB, and they do test many of the players for traces of steroids. Few players are caught each year,
but when a big name pops up, the whole debacle headlines newspapers, constantly talked about on
sports networks and becomes a huge deal. That big name player that was caught using steroids is then
given an agreed sentence of suspended games, sometimes they are even revoked of their chance to be
in the exalted MLB Hall of Fame in Cooperstown. The use of steroids and other performance
enhancing drugs should be more heavily managed and more severely punished. For years my coaches
have told me that baseball is a metaphor for life. This is true in many ways. There are countless
activities and goals one can chase after in life, but all of them are based on the person s character. It is
critical to make wise decisions, and carry out those decisions well. Making the wrong decisions or
poorly executing the right ones will eventually change one s character in a negative manner. Although
sports differ from each other in multiple ways, every sport has an end goal that is fundamental to the
sport, and toward all activity in that sport. I have three main points about players that use PEDs: they

Milgram and Zimbardo
Read the material on Milgram Zimbardo and explain which study is the most useful in understanding
human behaviour in a social situation (focusing on the methods used and findings obtained) and which
study is the most unethical. The study of social psychology, particularly conformity, is very difficult to
conduct both ethically and accurately in order to be able to obtain useful results. In the studies done by
Milgram and Zimbardo, ethics were definitely breached but to what extent were these experiments
useful, and which one offered the most insight into human behaviour? While both Milgram and
Zimbardo s methods were flawed and unethical towards the participants I believe that the ends of the
Milgram experiment justified the means ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
How much different were the results Zimbardo found compared to those that Milgram had found
prior? Milgram s results showed that people would follow orders while violating their deepest beliefs,
and in fact this was more common the view that most people held. While Zimbardo s experiment was
still useful I believe that Milgram s experiment was most useful in understanding human behaviour
when it comes to conformity. When speaking of ethics, I believe that both experiments were very
much against the standards of ethics that we now hold true today, however, I believe Zimbardo s
experiment was a larger violation of ethics. The protection of participants is very important having to
do with humiliation, embarrassment and loss of dignity of the participants. In social situations in
bigger groups it is more humiliating for humans to do something morally incorrect then in front of
only one person. Similarly the fact that the participants were in larger groups can create more social
stress and anxiety. While both experiments had implications of violence, Zimbardo s experiment also
caused participants to abuse each other while Milgram s participants were only believing they were
electrocuting someone when in debrief they were assured no one was harmed. Both studies are highly
criticized for the deception of the participants however, it is

Analysis Of The Book Little Red Cap By Angela Carter
Fairytales subvert, challenge or reaffirm archetypal values through didactic lenses. The presence of
universal themes allows for an examination of contextual shifts and by being malleable in nature, can
be made relevant to different audiences. The Brothers Grimm s Little Red Cap , Angela Carter s The
Company of Wolves and Tommy Wirkola s film, Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters all promote their
hegemonic ideologies and as cultural artefacts extrapolate the contextual values of their time period.
Carl Jung s theory of the Collective Unconscious ensures that each of these fairytale adaptations can
retain their archetypal value and thus remain significant and relevant in contemporary circumstances.
The Brother Grimm s 19th Century Fairytale, Little Red Cap reflects the hegemonies of its context
through its cautionary justification. Grimm s work reflected the importance of German national
cohesion under French occupation and the view towards foreigners as destructive usurpers. Little Red
Cap was adapted for instructional purposes, specifically aimed at a children s audience. Initially in the
tale, the subversion of Perrault s depiction of the girl is evident exemplifying her as a sweet little girl
and the hyperbolic everybody loved her instantly on first sight demonstrates the engrained virtue of
her youth. The instruction for Little Red Cap to not stray from the path foreshadows the inherent
danger associated with a misguided venture. The symbolism of

Performance and Risk Indicators of Two Mutual Fund Managers
This study aims to conduct a comprehensive analysis on the performance and risk indicators of two
mutual fund managers. After transforming the returns of the mutual funds into the same data scale
with the other variables, we employ a statistically rigorous factor analysis procedure to identify the
risk adjusted performance of each mutual fund. Then, we apply Chow(1960) tests to investigate
possible investment strategy similarities and potential structural breakpoints.
2. Modelling and Analysis The first model used to evaluate risk adjusted fund performance was based
on the work by Sharpe Lintner Treynor Mossin on the Capital Asset Pricing Model.
Using OLS we estimate: Based on these results we could argue that the mutual funds do not follow the
market closely, but both Managers over perform the index. Furthermore, in order to test whether or not
we have viable explanatory coefficients, a t testing procedure was followed(Table 2). Using a 5%
significance level, all coefficients except the market beta of Mutual Fund 1 are statistically significant.
The low R2 in both mutual funds implies that their returns are less well explained by the Benchmark s
movements. However, Titman and Tiu(2011) suggest that low R squares likely indicate more active
management; either departing from a Benchmark or focusing on stocks with larger fractions of
variance attributed to firm specific information. In order to compare both Managers performance,

When we look at the book, what we can see is that it is targeted to Christians who have a limited
comprehension of the Old Testament. What Dr. Wright wants to do by way of his book is to illustrate
that the character, doctrine and ministry of Christ Jesus came by way of His own knowledge of the
Old Testament. He uses very important portions of the New Testament in order to help us in knowing
who Jesuswas and His purposes and plans that were in existence, are still present, and yet to come.
CRITICAL INTERACTION Dr. Wright uses and asseses the Old Testament as an announcement of
Christ Jesus. That is very easy for us to understand Scriptures very well. Sometimes, it seems to be
tense, as Dr. Wright doesn t appear to be suitable with the motive of going too far in his recollection
and application of the Old Testament passages. This factor is evident in the second chapter of the book
where he talks about and points out the meaning of typology, as he takes the attitude that it is not a
wonderful technique of interpretation. However, it is helpful when it is come across in the correct
technique. He provides a traditional yet broad frame as to how the Old Testament provides light on the
life of Jesus and His role as the Anointed One. Dr. Wright brings about the fact that the main purpose
of God for Israel from the time of Abraham was that they would be

A Regression Analysis Of Consumer Related Data For A...
The main objective of this paper is to carry out a regression analysis of consumer related data for a
specific product. The product selected for analysis was sport utility vehicle (SUVs) sales in the United
States. The United States Department of Transportation website was the source of the data used for the
paper. It contained sales, market share, price, and fuel consumption information. Using this relevant
consumer information, a linear regression model was developed that investigated the relationship
between SUV sales, price, market share and fuel consumption. In this case, SUV sales is the
dependent variable and refers to the number of SUVs sold within the United States per year. On the

Description of Dataset
As mentioned earlier, the data used for this paper was sourced from The United States Department of
Transportation website. In order to locate the dataset a Google search was conducted with search
terms that include SUV sales data annual sales. Google returned a number of website sources, which
were examined and sorted. From the list of searches, the best and most credible source was The
United States Department of Transportation website. Using the search feature available on the website
an additional search was carried out using similar search terms. The data titled Table 1 21: Period
Sales, Market Shares, and Sales Weighted Fuel Economies of New Domestic and Imported Light
Trucks (Thousands of vehicles) was downloaded and it contained sales, market share and fuel
consumption information for a number of light trucks (Bureau of Transportation Statistics, 2016).
Using Excel, the original dataset was filtered in order to remove the small, medium, and large size
pickup data and only leave data on SUVs. The main reason for this is that the study was interested in
studying price, market share and consumption as factors that affect sales of SUVs in America. The
dataset contains annual data from 1990 to 2012. It also contains data from 1980 and 1985 (Bureau of
Transportation Statistics, 2016). This in total consisted of 25 observations for each dataset.

Hebrew Teachings of Wisdom
Teachings of Hebrew Wisdom on Diligence and Laziness
By: John Cleveland
Throughout the Bible, we see the importance of being diligent in our walk with Christ as oppose to
falling asleep and becoming lazy. As followers of Christ, we know that by applying the knowledge
given to us from the Bible can have a profound impact on our lives. When we study God s Word, we
receive wisdom and we are then able to use this wisdom in our daily lives. However, if we choose to

If we continue to look in the Book of Proverbs, we will find that Solomon also teaches us a lot about
the results that can be expected from being lazy in our walk with God. When we become lazy in our
lives, we open the doors for negative consequences to arise. According to Hindson and Yates, the
contrast between wisdom and folly is often a contrast between righteousness and wickedness. (2012,
263) What good is having knowledge only to never apply it in our daily lives? The ways of laziness
only lead to trouble and bad consequences. Being lazy is unproductive and this can lead us away from
the things that God has called us to do. Solomon states, listen, my son, and be wise, and set your heart
on the right path: do not join those who drink too much wine or gorge themselves on meat, for
drunkards and gluttons become poor, and drowsiness clothes them in rags. (Proverbs 23:19 21) If we
choose the laziness lifestyle, then this can lead to poor choices that will have negative impacts in our
lives. Solomon teaches us the importance of being diligent and what all it can lead to. Diligence leads
to abundance and positive outcomes for our lives. It helps us to live right and avoid things that will
bring us down. He states, work hard and become a leader; be lazy and never succeed. (Proverbs12:24)
If you ever want to make something of yourself, then you are going to have to be diligent and work

Go Back To Where You Came From Analysis
In video 1 of Go Back to Where You Came From, Darren Hassan (a businessman from Adelaide) is
questioning his new host, Wasmi, about the reasons he did not have his documentation. Darren s
original stance was noted that all those coming in the country without documentation should be
expatriated (12:38). Furthermore, he alludes that they are intentionally destroying their documents and
that their reasons for doing so are immoral. The communication between the two men was dialogic.

Grotesque In Winesburg, Ohio
The word grotesque describes a person who develops bizarre traits as a result of emotional problems.
This similar characteristic among people of different stories yet familiar sufferings develop an
underlying trend in the community. The handling of their emotional trauma makes these characters
grotesque because they develop a new perspective of life and reflect the past, present, and future. As
reporter George Willard interacts with individuals in Sherwood Anderson s Winesburg, Ohio, Willard
is exposed to the grotesques and their stories that changed their outlook on life forever. In the book,
the stories concerning characters Jesse Bentley, Alice Hindman, and Enoch Robinson exemplify the
development of a grotesque individual as a result of traumatic incidents. Jesse Bentley is a changed
man because of the incident regarding the relationship with him and his daughter s son, David Hardy.

The Creature Of The Beast
In France in the late 1760 s, there was an atrocity that involved around one hundred animal attack
deaths caused by one creature, the infamous Beast of Gevaudan. Per Jaime Hill, the beast was the size
of a horse and looked like a bear, hyena, wolf, and panther hybrid. It had a long wolf or pig like snout.
Many researchers believed there were at least two, or more than two, beasts roaming the area. The
color of the beast changed every time the beast was spotted; it would go from red to red with grey and
white patches to red with stripes. Sometimes there would even be no red, it may just be black or white.
Locals believed it to be a werewolf, or a sorcerer who shapeshifted into a monstrous predator to feed
on human flesh. The beast was also ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
June of 1767, a man said the beast could be killed, that he had found a way. He said he needed a holy
bullet made of silver, blessed by a holy man. He takes the ammunition into the forest and arrives back
to the village with a wolf. Villagers agree it is the beast and no beast is spotted afterwards. In 2000,
historians notice things do not add up; a wolf cannot remove someone s clothes. In 2011, researchers
concluded that Jean trained the wolf, killed the people, and then killed the wolf to make it look like a
beast. Still to this day, no one knows for sure what happened ( Mysteries at the Museum n.p.).
Per World of Mythology, the attacks of the beast started in 1764. People all around hunted every wolf
they could find, hoping it would be the beast, but the attacks continued. In 1765, Francois Antoine
killed a large grey wolf, but the attacks continued Also in 1765, a doctor came across a man in a wolf
suit assaulting a woman and killed him but the attacks still went on. Finally, a man by the name Jean
Chastel discovered that if a silver bullet is blessed by a church, it could kill the beast. Chastel got three
silver bullets blessed by the local church and went into the woods, returning with a dead wolf. This
was the final attack on a wolf by the time the attacks stopped. Chastel said he went into the woods and
found the giant wolf. He was the size of a horse and looked like a panther and wolf hybrid. He

Circumcision, Abortion, And The Procedure Of Genital Cutting
Circumcision, possible for both males and females, implies the procedure of genital cutting. This
process is one of the oldest surgical procedures done in a variety of countries. However, circumcision
can not only be accepted for medical reasons but also tend to appear defining for one s religious,
cultural, as well as social lives. Thus, traditional circumcision is usually undertaken in worse
conditions than the traditional medical one. With recent research, numerous advantages for a
circumcised person s health have been proven. In particular, circumcision is now known to reduce the
risk of becoming infected with the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), reduce the risk of penile
cancer as well as cervical cancer in women. Another medical benefit is the reduced risk of UTI (World
Health Organization, n.d.). Due to these benefits, more parents are opting for circumcision, for the
medical profits of the procedure. In addition, in spite of the found benefits of circumcision, the matter
has caused a range of legal and ethical issues that cannot be neglected. Still, from the overall
perspective, circumcision is known to be a rewarding procedure.
One popular form of circumcision in developing countries is female circumcision, which is also
known as female genital cutting or genital mutilation. This practice is a mostly seen for cultural
reasons in Africa and Asia (Nour, Mann, Falk, 2016). The procedure can appear in two types: excision

Paradigmatic Shift Of System Theory Essay
The paradigmatic shift of system theory is the evolution of systematic thinking which is made up of
two systems; the simple cybernetics (first order) and cybernetics of cybernetics (second order). The
first system of the cybernetics also known as the simple cybernetics is the level in which we view
lives from a perspective in which we observe from a different aspect of the outside view. I feel as
though when it comes to the first order cybernetics, everything such as the personal view becomes
irrelevant to the situation because our focus is on describing what is happening from a different
pattern. As for the second order also known the cybernetics of cybernetics transform our view where
we are no longer viewing from the outside looking in. In the system, we are now observing the
situation from a standpoint which we are involved. In the book, I have acknowledged that it is best to
view things that I can observe from the outside looking in and also being and participate in a situation
which set my viewpoint than how others view certain situations. In my opinion, in most cases as
humans, individuals go through different phases in their lives to learn, and to experience a different
perspective when it comes, a prospect of our lives. When the book talks about the system
theory/cybernetics it is a little frustrating to comprehend from my understanding and how to connect
the theory to a real life situation. As I continue to read I m trying to think how I would connect the

By 1943, Mussolini had created a totalitarian regime in Italy . Explain why you agree or disagree with
this view. (24 marks).
Most historians have suggested that Mussolini had not created a totalitarian regime in Italy by 1943
due to the fact that Fascism remained a secondary belief for the majority of Italy, superseded by
religion.
However Mussolini did achieve a totalitarian state in some respects. For example, his use of
propaganda was successful in propagating the idea of the Cult of the Duce , a campaign with the aim
of almost deifying Mussolini and giving him abnormal qualities, such as always being right, being
able to do anything, and having endless physical strength. Posters and photographs with Mussolini,

However, there are also many respects in which Mussolini did not create a totalitarian state. The fact
that Mussolini had to make deals such as the Lateran Pacts in 1929 to accommodate the Church shows
that he did not have total control over Italy. Fascism was a secondary belief to the majority of Italy
who still fully believed and had faith in Catholicism. The Lateran Pacts specifically accepted the
dominant position of the Church in Italian society, meaning that Mussolini knew that the Church were
too big an organisation to fight against, so he had to rule alongside them. The regime was not
totalitarian as the Lateran Pacts also gave the Church control over education as teachers and textbooks
had to be approved by the Church, meaning that the facistisation of Education was limited for
Mussolini. It is true that with the approval of the Church, Mussolini gained far greater support,
however it meant that his popular support was based on the word and approval of the Church, and his
position could become untenable if the Church started to disapprove of him.
In addition, Mussolini had to make many concessions to high powered people and organisations
within Italy to remain dictator without any opposition from the elite groups in Italy such as the King,
the Liberals, the army and the Confindustria. The King represented a major grouping in Italian society,
the upper middle class and aristocracy, and elements, like the Armed

Precipitation Of Precipitation
Precipitation Analysis
With an average annual total rainfall of 53.1 inches, the six stations examined and their mean rates of
precipitation are consistent with the claim that the entire state of Florida receives, on average, 54
inches of precipitation annually. Stations like Deland, Inverness, High Springs and Canal Point
differed little from the expected mean, while Marathon Shores and Niceville deviated noticeably. This
deviation, however, is chiefly explained by the stations locations and the patterns of rainfall associated
with those positions. For example, Marathon Shore s aberration is likely due to the fact that the area
received comparatively less rainfall during the summer months of June through September with a
rather low mean ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Deland, Inverness and Canal Point, for example, are situated much closer to the coast when compared
to High Springs, and they exhibit a greater total annual precipitation rate of 53.72 inches as opposed to
High Spring s 52.27 inches and a greater annual monthly mean of 4.48 inches compared to the 4.36
inches of High Springs. While relatively small, this variance among precipitation rates is still great
enough to confirm the claim that most of the time, at least, stations located closer to the coast
experience overall higher mean monthly and mean annual precipitation rates.
Using the data collected solely from the selected six stations, a possible correlation is unclear between
the amount of precipitation received and the number of hurricane strikes within a given area despite
the claim made in the conceptual model. Niceville, for instance, experiences the highest overall mean
monthly and mean annual precipitation of the six stations in addition to experiencing the highest mean
precipitation rate during the specified months of July through October with a mean of 6.68 inches, but
according to the first map provided in the guidance document, it did not experience the highest
number of hurricane strikes. Between the years of 1900 to 2010, Niceville was hit but 10 to 12

Analysis Of The Second Sex By Simone Beauvoir
Another thing that womanhood or motherhood encapsulates in this novel is the choice to choose

quickness of movement...I could not delude myself: youth was deserting my body (Letter 41). I see

Paganism is the oldest religion or form of worship that existed in the world. By general definition,
anyone who does not follow one of the mainstream religions is a Pagan (i.e. anyone who does not

feminine and masculine.
Witchcraft is not a religion it is a craft practised by witches and wizards. It is often referred to as a

Nuclear Power Sources For Space Exploration
Nuclear powered unmanned space vehicles (USVs) represent the future of deep space exploration.
Deep space missions require a power source that can travel further, go faster, and last longer than

an ideal alternative. The United States is currently working cooperatively with other countries to
research and develop nuclear power sources for space travel. Examples of unmanned deep space

Chemical rockets alone are not practical for deep space missions and alternative solutions need to be
examined (Malagari Sullivan, 2015). Autonomous unmanned spacecraft will be able to successfully
fulfill the long term vision of interplanetary travel; performing research and resupply but the right
energy and propulsion system once in orbit must be utilized. The one technology that currently meets
the criteria to power unmanned spacecraft while in orbit are nuclear powered propulsion systems.
When discussing spacecraft power and propulsion systems it must be understood that there are two
parts that must be considered; the first is the rocket booster which launches the spacecraft into orbit
and the second is the power system that moves the payload to its final destination (Chiravalle, 2008).
As of now, no platform has been launched into space by nuclear power but it is feasible. The National
Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has considered using nuclear assisted boosters along
with chemical rockets to launch spacecraft which would reduce mass and reduce cost (Sample, 2001).
Once the platform is in orbit, nuclear power has proved to be successful in unmanned rocket missions
(Malagari Sullivan, 2015). One of the most notable USVs is

happens and what it will lead to. Nowadays, money is taking a significant part of people s life. To get
money, lots of people objectify others as if they are tools instead of human beings, and ignore their
basic physical and mental needs. Meanwhile, during the process, they are objectifying themselves
also, for they almost become machines designed for making money. But what is it

Rango Essay

Opening Film Essay
Rango
It s not always easy to relate the story of a talking lizard to the history of the world. Or at least, that s
they want the watchers to think. The truth is that there are many different themes that tie into the
world s past. Rango (the talking lizard) can represent some of the world s most influential leaders; the
mayor, who is a talking turtle, corresponds to the corrupted government of countries. In a way, many
of the themes in this movie relate to one another. Human identity, religion, government, hero worship,
and human adaptation, is only the beginning of what this film uncovers about the world, and the
human species itself. The biggest and most occurring questions asked in Rango are the ... Show more

The once great leader became corrupted by the notion of power and influence he had over the towns
people by controlling what they needed the most; water. The mayor wanted to have everything under
his control, every piece of land, every piece of business and so on. The town, was one day thriving,
living the great American life, and then the next, businesses were shutting down, land was drying up,
and the drought was more serious than ever. While the mayor and his comrades laughed about getting
all the water to themselves, the villagers lived in hardship. That situation reminds me of Jean Claude
Duvalier, president of Hati from 1971 86. Jean Claude resumed the position of president after his
predecessor and father, passed. The United States put a lot of pressure on Jean Claude to restore the
great land of Hati, from the dictatorial regime of his father. In the beginning, he was successful. He
introduced reforms, replaced cabinet members, and released political prisoners. Though all was not as
it seemed, and his reign did not differ much from his father s. While his people were living in poverty,
he continued to live a luxurious lifestyle with his wife. In fact, his wedding along cost $3 million US
dollars. Many people wondered for ages, how all this was possible, and eventually, the truth came out.
As it turns out, Jean Claude had been in several drug trades as well as selling body parts of dead
Haitians. After his dark secrets were revealed, he fled

The Hunt For Red October Summary
The Hunt for Red October The book I chose to write about is The Hunt for Red October, written by
Tom Clancy.
The book is about the hunt for a new Soviet nuclear submarine called Red October. The settings of the
story are Russia, America, and the Atlantic Ocean. The time is the early 1980 s. The main characters
are Jack Ryan, an intelligent American CIA agent who lives in London, and
Marko Aleksandrovich Ramius, a Soviet submarine captain. Other characters in the book are
Seaman Jones, a navy man, and Skip Tyler, a crippled submarine engineer. The story begins in Russia
with the nuclear stealth submarine Red October, armed with nuclear missiles, is launched into the
ocean. Inside, Captain Ramius thinks about his wife who was killed because of the lack of efficiency

To make sure no one interferes with his decision to defect, Ramius kills the political officer onboard.
The Soviet Union found out that Ramius is going to defect, so they sent anything they had to destroy
the Red October, but they had trouble tracking it because it was nearly undetectable by Soviet
technology. At the same time, Jack Ryan was sent from London to the U.S. to deliver pictures of a new
Soviet submarine. After showing the pictures to the Deputy
Director of intelligence, Ryan goes to his friend Skip Tyler to try to figure out what type of submarine
it is. Tyler noticed it is a new type of Soviet sub with a stealth drive. A few days later, the U.S.S.
Dallas was near the coast of Iceland when Seaman Jones noticed a strange noise. He recorded it and
played it over and over again. Others onboard of the
U.S.S Dallas listened to the noise. They decided to follow the noise.
One man noticed a lot of Soviet boats were in the Atlantic Ocean and were heading for America.
The White House and Pentagon were notified and they feared Russia might be getting ready to attack.
Two days later, the U.S.S. Dallas and another submarine caught up with the noise

Diary Entry Of Survival By Joseph Ooocia
Survival By, Joseph Capoocia Day 1: I ll tell you how the tragedy happened. It all started on a Lovely
day. We all were going to move to Japan on the island of Okinawa. I don t know why we took a 15 day
cruise to an island over 1,000 miles away. We were told to pack everything our hats, pets, sun block,
money, phones, and even leaf blowers. Day 2: For some reason we hit an under sea volcano at full
speed. and were told to stay close and raid the buffet. Next with our mouths full and our bags packed
we grabbed our pets and jumped on a lifeboat. We were first to leave and we got further than anybody
else. That night we heard a creaking noise under water. It turns out to be a Sperm Whale then it
jumped up and ate everybody else. Day 3: Then drifting with a year s supply of food, we were told to
stay positive and play DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS WHOOOOOOOOOO! I of course was a Cleric
and my siblings chose pre made player cards. Who in their right minds chose a pre made before trying
to make their own. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
We gave the animals water to drink while we had soda. All of the ice cream melted which I held a
funeral for. The worst part was that shovel nose sharks were attacking our marlin cake. Day 12: The
desserts were gone! They were all eaten one by one! Then our weeks supply of nothing vanished. We
ate the pumpkins then the butternut squash and gourds. My younger brother still didn t eat the
zucchini. Day 20: We ran out of food, so we started fishing and we caught a mahi mahi also known as
a dolphin. My father was the strongest of us all so he was the person who was fishing. Then we cut it
open and there were flying fish inside its stomach. Then we feasted on fish and fresh

Modern American History Research Paper
History is alive
The subject of history is described as many things among high schoolers. A boring subject about
people long since dead, a class with WAY too much homework or with a professor who enjoys giving
droning lectures. Therefore, most students look at history classes as just another set of credits to get
out of the way for graduation. However, in my case, it is viewed a bit differently. I believe history is a
gift, a window into the past that gives us a chance to learn from the people who lived before us, and to
prevent the recurring of their mistakes in our world today.
At Portage Central High School I have had the opportunity to take multiple history classes based on
my interests in certain areas of the world. Modern American history, ... Show more content on

It is the backbone of all other subjects, such as English, science, math, government, even world
languages. Historical knowledge provides the groundwork for all literature, it is vital in order to
understand references and allusions, as well as to grasp the point of view an author is writing from. In
essence, you can read a novel a hundred times, but you will never be able to fully appreciate it if you
have no connection to the deeply rooted historical background of the plot. Then there are scientific
discoveries. Who made them? Where did those scientists come from? What culture led to the
discoveries? What war brought about the creating of nuclear bombs? What were the thought processes
of the scientific geniuses? All these questions have answers that can be found through the study of
history. Next, is the application for math, the Pythagorean theorem, the geometric knowledge gained
from Euclid, the Greeks and Romans and how their past brought them to be mathematicians. These
people and their mathematical work are part of history. Even the development of different forms of
government is a direct result of the experiences of different cultures, and their gifted philosophers.

borders of countries. The languages that have survived through to modern day have made it because of

The evidence collector has many roles to play at a crime scene other than just collecting evidence.
Photographer, note taker, and scene sketch artist. As a photographer it is the evidence collectors
responsibility to not only take pictures of evidence that has been found. But also of the whole scene in
general. Entrance and exits, whole room, and surrounding areas that may or may not be involved. As
the role of note taker an evidence collector must take detailed notes. Not only noting time of initial

  • 2. The Relationship Of Jesus And Christian Mentoring In The... Mentor is characterized as a wise and trusted advocate or instructor. Although tutoring/mentoring is not in the Bible, it gives us various cases of coaching. Moses was a great example of a mentoring relationship. The mentoring relationship among Eli and Samuel allowed Samuel to take on tasks and obligations that were his after Eli s demise. Jesus mentor His disciples, while Barnabas and Paul exceeded expectations in mentoring. Jesus made His style of mentoring clear. He led so we may follow. He stated if anybody will come after him, let them take up his cross and follow him. Since He is our leader and we are to follow Him, Christian mentoring is a procedure subordinate upon accommodation to Christ. Neither the mentor or mentee controls the relationship. The way toward mentoring is portrayed by sharing, trust, and enrichment as the life and work of the two members is changed. The mentor fills in as a model and a confided in audience. The guide depends on the Holy Spirit to give understanding, change lives, and educate through demonstration. Jesus and the apostles, as well as elders in the church do their work by mentoring. Peter states to be the example of the flock, and Paul discloses to the elders at Ephesus. Paul demonstrates to the elders, so that they may show others. If a Christian leader is not mentoring to that degree, he or she is not satisfying their calling. God has filled the group of Christ with potential mentors other than the individuals who are elders. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Gender Roles In The Movie Gidget Gidget: Breaking Waves and Gender Role Gidget, a 1959 film about a young girl who falls in love with surfing, helped establish a prominent foundation for surfing in California. To some, the film may simply be a feel good story about surfing and American teen culture. To others, it s about breaking stereotypical gender roles and their associated societal norms. The film released soon after World War II and the subsequent baby boom. This was a time with gave Americans a fresh new look on life, and a time when many young adults and teens had plenty of leisure time. Gidget also marked the end of an era and the start of a new one. Surfing and Gidget play a monumental role in shaping this new era by defying gender roles and leaving a lasting imprint on society. In 1950 s society, both women and men had their place. Although men may have more opportunities and differentiation than women, they both still have their places. Generally, a woman s literal place is in the household, often the kitchen to be more exact. The typical housewife wears a conservative dress, heels, pearls, and possibly an apron depending on whether they are on duty or not. This standard lifestyle of women is portrayed well through Gidget s mother. Gidget, however, does not seem to want to follow in the footsteps of her mother in this jail cell of a stereotypical matriarchal role. Instead of wiping cake batter off her fingers, Gidget would rather wipe sand off her feet after a long day of surfing. While ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Similar to her father, Leah seems to think that since she is the most religiously adept that she is superior to the rest of the family. While they squabble and work in the dirt she will perform the work of God with her father. When describing who does which chores, Leah states, I personally set myself apart from the war on blood parasites. I preferred to help my father work on his garden. I ve always been one for outdoor chores anyway, burning the trash and weeding, while my sisters squabbled about the dishes and such (Kingsolver 35). In this quote Leah demonstrates how she strives to be her father. Throughout the book he expressed the same tone that Leah did. He thinks that he is better than everyone else and that the way he does things is best. Any other interpretation and any other way of doing things is wrong. Leah also demonstrates a tone of extreme meekness. She bows down to every wish of her father and does not understand that she can confront him. Leah is a slave to him. Anything that Nathan says or does is correct and there is no other way about it. After Nathan catches Methuselah cursing and punishes the children, Leah comments, I didn t say so, of course. I haven t contradicted my father on any subject, ever (66). Leah is completely afraid of her father as if he were God himself. This tone speaks to the deep religious beliefs that Nathan has instilled in his most obedient daughter. Introduction The position of women in the society at present has changed gradually in the last few centuries. The role of women, as dictated by the society, is perceived by how they re presented. Since the last three centuries, women have always been viewed as just housewives and objects of perversion. Media is one of the factors why women are perceived as secondary to men. There are two different levels of the demonstration of the women in the society wherein they are called as the Passive and the male as the Active . 1. A woman is an erotic object for both the characters within the film. For example, Stiffler, a character in the American Pie movie, depicts a lady that passed by as a visual pleasure to him. But, what if the lady looks like a big, fat loser? By that, men has the social power to dictate whether a girl can be subscribed as beautiful or not; as a sex object or not. 2. The spectator who is watching the film finds the woman as an erotic object. In accordance to what is cited above, the dominance of male directors in the Hollywood scene also gives the power of judgment to its audience, the male population. Of course, when the male characters feel that the woman being perceived is perfect for being a visual pleasure, it tends to drive the audience in the same manner, too. These two different perspectives show that a woman(Passive), as depicted in the Hollywood films, are just inferior to the social control held by men(Active). II. Steroids And Other Performance Enhancing Drugs Steroids and other performance enhancing drugs have been banned from Major League Baseball since 1991; however, this law was not strictly enforced by the Major League Baseball Players Association (Anabolic Steroids). The MLBPA to date has become much more involved in the issue of PED use in the MLB, and they do test many of the players for traces of steroids. Few players are caught each year, but when a big name pops up, the whole debacle headlines newspapers, constantly talked about on sports networks and becomes a huge deal. That big name player that was caught using steroids is then given an agreed sentence of suspended games, sometimes they are even revoked of their chance to be in the exalted MLB Hall of Fame in Cooperstown. The use of steroids and other performance enhancing drugs should be more heavily managed and more severely punished. For years my coaches have told me that baseball is a metaphor for life. This is true in many ways. There are countless activities and goals one can chase after in life, but all of them are based on the person s character. It is critical to make wise decisions, and carry out those decisions well. Making the wrong decisions or poorly executing the right ones will eventually change one s character in a negative manner. The protection of participants is very important having to do with humiliation, embarrassment and loss of dignity of the participants. The presence of universal themes allows for an examination of contextual shifts and by being malleable in nature, can be made relevant to different audiences. The Brothers Grimm s Little Red Cap , Angela Carter s The Company of Wolves and Tommy Wirkola s film, Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters all promote their hegemonic ideologies and as cultural artefacts extrapolate the contextual values of their time period. Carl Jung s theory of the Collective Unconscious ensures that each of these fairytale adaptations can retain their archetypal value and thus remain significant and relevant in contemporary circumstances. The Brother Grimm s 19th Century Fairytale, Little Red Cap reflects the hegemonies of its context through its cautionary justification. Grimm s work reflected the importance of German national cohesion under French occupation and the view towards foreigners as destructive usurpers. Little Red Cap was adapted for instructional purposes, specifically aimed at a children s audience. Initially in the tale, the subversion of Perrault s depiction of the girl is evident exemplifying her as a sweet little girl and the hyperbolic everybody loved her instantly on first sight demonstrates the engrained virtue of her youth. After transforming the returns of the mutual funds into the same data scale with the other variables, we employ a statistically rigorous factor analysis procedure to identify the risk adjusted performance of each mutual fund. Then, we apply Chow(1960) tests to investigate possible investment strategy similarities and potential structural breakpoints. 2. Modelling and Analysis The first model used to evaluate risk adjusted fund performance was based on the work by Sharpe Lintner Treynor Mossin on the Capital Asset Pricing Model. Using OLS we estimate: Based on these results we could argue that the mutual funds do not follow the market closely, but both Managers over perform the index. Furthermore, in order to test whether or not we have viable explanatory coefficients, a t testing procedure was followed(Table 2). Using a 5% significance level, all coefficients except the market beta of Mutual Fund 1 are statistically significant. The low R2 in both mutual funds implies that their returns are less well explained by the Benchmark s movements. However, Titman and Tiu(2011) suggest that low R squares likely indicate more active management; either departing from a Benchmark or focusing on stocks with larger fractions of variance attributed to firm specific information. He uses very important portions of the New Testament in order to help us in knowing who Jesuswas and His purposes and plans that were in existence, are still present, and yet to come. According to Hindson and Yates, the contrast between wisdom and folly is often a contrast between righteousness and wickedness. (2012, 263) What good is having knowledge only to never apply it in our daily lives? The ways of laziness only lead to trouble and bad consequences. Being lazy is unproductive and this can lead us away from the things that God has called us to do. This process is one of the oldest surgical procedures done in a variety of countries. However, circumcision can not only be accepted for medical reasons but also tend to appear defining for one s religious, cultural, as well as social lives. Thus, traditional circumcision is usually undertaken in worse conditions than the traditional medical one. With recent research, numerous advantages for a circumcised person s health have been proven. In particular, circumcision is now known to reduce the risk of becoming infected with the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), reduce the risk of penile cancer as well as cervical cancer in women. Another medical benefit is the reduced risk of UTI (World Health Organization, n.d.). Due to these benefits, more parents are opting for circumcision, for the medical profits of the procedure. In addition, in spite of the found benefits of circumcision, the matter has caused a range of legal and ethical issues that cannot be neglected. Still, from the overall perspective, circumcision is known to be a rewarding procedure. One popular form of circumcision in developing countries is female circumcision, which is also known as female genital cutting or genital mutilation. • 29. Paradigmatic Shift Of System Theory Essay The paradigmatic shift of system theory is the evolution of systematic thinking which is made up of two systems; the simple cybernetics (first order) and cybernetics of cybernetics (second order). The first system of the cybernetics also known as the simple cybernetics is the level in which we view lives from a perspective in which we observe from a different aspect of the outside view. I feel as though when it comes to the first order cybernetics, everything such as the personal view becomes irrelevant to the situation because our focus is on describing what is happening from a different pattern. As for the second order also known the cybernetics of cybernetics transform our view where we are no longer viewing from the outside looking in. In the system, we are now observing the situation from a standpoint which we are involved. In the book, I have acknowledged that it is best to view things that I can observe from the outside looking in and also being and participate in a situation which set my viewpoint than how others view certain situations. In my opinion, in most cases as humans, individuals go through different phases in their lives to learn, and to experience a different perspective when it comes, a prospect of our lives. When the book talks about the system theory/cybernetics it is a little frustrating to comprehend from my understanding and how to connect the theory to a real life situation. Most historians have suggested that Mussolini had not created a totalitarian regime in Italy by 1943 due to the fact that Fascism remained a secondary belief for the majority of Italy, superseded by religion. However Mussolini did achieve a totalitarian state in some respects. For example, his use of propaganda was successful in propagating the idea of the Cult of the Duce , a campaign with the aim of almost deifying Mussolini and giving him abnormal qualities, such as always being right, being able to do anything, and having endless physical strength. The fact that Mussolini had to make deals such as the Lateran Pacts in 1929 to accommodate the Church shows that he did not have total control over Italy. Fascism was a secondary belief to the majority of Italy who still fully believed and had faith in Catholicism. The Lateran Pacts specifically accepted the dominant position of the Church in Italian society, meaning that Mussolini knew that the Church were too big an organisation to fight against, so he had to rule alongside them. The regime was not totalitarian as the Lateran Pacts also gave the Church control over education as teachers and textbooks had to be approved by the Church, meaning that the facistisation of Education was limited for Mussolini. It is true that with the approval of the Church, Mussolini gained far greater support, however it meant that his popular support was based on the word and approval of the Church, and his position could become untenable if the Church started to disapprove of him. In addition, Mussolini had to make many concessions to high powered people and organisations within Italy to remain dictator without any opposition from the elite groups in Italy such as the King, the Liberals, the army and the Confindustria. Stations like Deland, Inverness, High Springs and Canal Point differed little from the expected mean, while Marathon Shores and Niceville deviated noticeably. This deviation, however, is chiefly explained by the stations locations and the patterns of rainfall associated with those positions. For example, Marathon Shore s aberration is likely due to the fact that the area received comparatively less rainfall during the summer months of June through September with a rather low mean ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Deland, Inverness and Canal Point, for example, are situated much closer to the coast when compared to High Springs, and they exhibit a greater total annual precipitation rate of 53.72 inches as opposed to High Spring s 52.27 inches and a greater annual monthly mean of 4.48 inches compared to the 4.36 inches of High Springs. While relatively small, this variance among precipitation rates is still great enough to confirm the claim that most of the time, at least, stations located closer to the coast experience overall higher mean monthly and mean annual precipitation rates. Using the data collected solely from the selected six stations, a possible correlation is unclear between the amount of precipitation received and the number of hurricane strikes within a given area despite the claim made in the conceptual model. The one technology that currently meets the criteria to power unmanned spacecraft while in orbit are nuclear powered propulsion systems. When discussing spacecraft power and propulsion systems it must be understood that there are two parts that must be considered; the first is the rocket booster which launches the spacecraft into orbit and the second is the power system that moves the payload to its final destination (Chiravalle, 2008). As of now, no platform has been launched into space by nuclear power but it is feasible. The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has considered using nuclear assisted boosters along with chemical rockets to launch spacecraft which would reduce mass and reduce cost (Sample, 2001).
