This document covers a unit on awareness of protection and safeguarding in health, social care, early years and childcare. It discusses identifying support available for people experiencing harm, abuse or neglect. Examples of support organizations are given such as NSPCC and Women's Aid. Learners are asked to research local branches of support organizations. The document also discusses first aid, including definitions and responsibilities of first aiders.
