The document provides details on the design of a social media app called "Thrift" for buying and selling used clothing. It includes mockups and descriptions of the login page, profile page, and other key features. The target audience is ages 15+ interested in buying and selling used clothing. The color scheme uses grey, black, and green. The logo shows the name "Thrift" in grey text inside a black box to stand out against various page backgrounds. Photoshop drafts demonstrate early page designs for the login and profile pages.

3. Hand Drawn Drafts
These two images are my hand drawn drafts. I've drawn these out so that I have a rough outline of
what I want my social media pages to look like. I will be creating a social media page for viewings on
a desktop. Meaning that I am going to have to implement features that are on a phone app into a
desktop app.
4. Final Ideas
My first final idea is an app called “Thrift”. I got this idea from the app Depop, I thought that having
another buying and selling app on the market would be a great idea and thought it was a good idea
for an app. This app will constitute of people being able to buy and sell clothes through the app.
Through making a profile they will be able to follow other profiles that are selling clothes that the
individual may want to buy.
I chose the name thrift because I thought it was a name that a lot of people would like also because
there are many stores around the UK that are called thrift stores due the clothing that they sell, so I
thought I could implement my own style onto the app by allowing people to buy and sell items of
clothing. You will also have the ability to like images, if you were to like images there is an area
within your profile where you can view the items you have liked.
The second idea is very similar to “Thrift” but was going to be an app where you can just sell items
of clothing, but still having the ability to like images, look at other profiles and still have the ability
to direct message them for more information about the products.
5. Font Style and Colour Scheme
My colour scheme varies throughout the three different pages of my social media
product. The login page has the colours of grey, black and a background of green
lines varying throughout the login page. Also my sign up page has the exact same
colour scheme as they’re very similar pages as they both include the logging in
aspect of a social media product.
6. Logo
My logo is just going to be the name thrift but inside a black box with the writing
being grey. I think that the logo is bold and stands out a lot as it is a black box with
the writing Thrift in the middle of it. The writing is transparent so whatever colour
is behind the box, that’s the colour that the writing will end up like. This gives the
website a bit of edge I think because any colour that is behind it will come through
the text. For example, if I were to have one page that had a green background the
writing of Thrift will be green and on another page if it were to be red the writing
of Thrift will be red. But at this current moment the background will be grey.
7. Photoshop Drafts
These are two images of my Photoshop drafts that I put
together. These are going to be two of the three pages that I
am going to be creating.
For my login page, I am going to have the background that
you can see in the furthest left image. Also I am going to be
having the logo of the social media product in the middle of
the page but nearer to the top so that I can fit the
username and password login area right in the middle of
the page.
The profile page will consist of the products that are being
sold by any individual, there following and there followers.
This will allow the user to keep on track of there products
and there followers wanting to buy there products.
8. Conclusion
To conclude I have chosen Thrift as my final product. This is
because I feel that the overall layout of Thrift social media
pages are better looking and I feel the social media will
appeal more the my target audience than the other social
medias I came up with.
I have looked further into my target audience and the type
of products that various users are going to be selling and
have decided that the target audience of Thrift is a lot
easier to please when others are selling there products. I
have created Photoshop drafts that give you an insight into
what the pages are going to look like and how they’re
going to be formatted.
