- Nearly all magazines featured one person taking up most of the front cover to highlight their importance. This establishes a key focus for articles within. - Double page spreads similarly featured one side with a large image of the subject to emphasize who will be discussed. This reduces required writing. - Colors were often contrasted with the subject's outfit or image to create a visual link between them. This helps branding and recognition. - Websites generally kept designs simple for easy navigation between pages of content. Simplicity aids understanding despite limited design complexity.

In this front page for this magazine
you can see that the text is very
simplistic and also at the same time
very bold which is used to stand out to
the customer.
Something which stands out would
be that the colours link with each
other, because you can see the
colour of the font is there because
of the things which the magazine is
based around which in this case
they have used the same colours
as the kit in the colour of the font.
As well with the colour orange it
links in with the sport as the
basketball is orange. Also the
colour orange has connotations of
determination and also success.
Picture, they decided to go with a large
image of the person which they intend to
go in detail about in the magazine, which
in this case they have gone with a
basketballer which is Russel Westbrook.
Although in this magazine they will go
through a variety of different sports they
will mainly aim towards basketball.
With the text they have chosen to
be very simplistic in the amount of
detail which they have put into the
front page because they want you
to read it. Also they have
highlighted key things which will be
talked about, Also they have gone
with non san-seraph text which is
very classic.
With the person taking up more
than half the page shows the
importance of the him.

One thing with this page would be that
you can see who the whole section is
revolved around which would be
basketballer Carmelo Anthony, which
you can see throughout the double
page spread he is the main thing which
it is based around so with the person
being half of the double page you can
see the importance of him.
They have decided
to go with the
colour blue and
yellow because
they link with the
kit which he is
wearing, this is
similar to the front
page spread which
also uses the same
thing which would
contrasting the kit
and the colours
around it to link
together.
With the text they have section it out
so that you don’t have to read them
in order because they are not written
in order and also it gives the reader
the freedom to not have to read in
sections they can chose whatever
part of the paragraphs to read, And
also they have put something in the
centre of all of the text to tell you
something which is very important.
The page number at the bottom
help the user to find what they
are looking for, because there
would be an index at the front or
back
The text which is the title of the page
has been made to stand out compared
to any other text, because that is the
first thing which they you want you to
see.

With this website magazine it is
very simplistic in the fact that
there isn’t much to the website
because the detail which they
gone into isn’t in depth because
they want you to click onto the
page and then they will go into
detail once you have gone on
the page.
The colour contrast on this website
is that in all of the different sports
which they have shown on the main
page would be that there is green
which would be the grass which is
one of the main colours which have
been chosen to present the website
as it links with all of the sports
chosen. As well something else
which works well with the colours
would be that they all work well with
each other because they contrast
with each other.
With this website they have
chosen to go with lots of different
images of different sports to
intrigue people who enjoy
different sports, and by doing this
you can show the customer
things which they could view.

Both people in this magazine front
cover have been made to take up
pretty all of the space because it
shows there importance, and also the
wording underneath them which is
very bold and large which once again
shows there importance.
They have used a very
simplistic font for what they
are trying to portray to there
audience, and with the colour
they have used contrast with
each other and as they
contrast there isn’t many
connotations between the
two because they are very
simplistic.
They have included names of different
producers which a variety of different
genres but this magazine mainly aims
towards rap and hip pop.
They have showed something which
the magazine has achieved which
they have proudly put on their
magazine.
They gone with the very simplistic
look although they have included
many things on the front page of
the magazine. I feel like it is very
simplistic because they don’t have
anything complicated and intricate
of the front page.

With jay-z taking up pretty
much the whole page shows
the importance of him, which
shows you what the article is
going to be about .
The red theme to the article
shows the mysterious part of
him as in the image you can
see that one half is red and the
other is normal, which gives
you the effect that there are
things which he has done
which are dangerous. And then
the side which doesn’t have
the red colour scheme shows
the cool side of him which
everyone sees.
With the page number it
helps the user to find what
they are looking for.
The red J continues with the colour scheme and with
the mysterious sections of his past, as well once
again with the j being so big shows the importance of
jay-z.
With the text being laid out very
well helps the customer to find
what they find important in this
article, also with the red colour
scheme it gives a link between the
first page and the second.
With the bold lettering it helps to
stand out to help the user read it
more smoother and also creates
order in which they will more
than likely red it in.

website is very dull as they
have only used white for
the main aesthetic, But the
one thing which isn’t dull
would be the images which
they have used to show the
different things which have
occurred because they are
very vibrant.
For the majority of images which
they have chosen to represent
the page the have made them
very large to show there
importance in the music industry.
The masthead of the website is
very minimalist which shows
that the brand isn’t necessary
towards what they are showing.
The website helps the user because
they have different sections for
different kinds of music which they
would want and also any kind of new,
And also they have used non san-
seraph font which is the classic for
the majority of things.

They have made the main character
“DeadShot” take up the whole front
page because it shows there
importance , as well they have put
the character in front of he
masthead.
They have chosen to go with the
colour red as it shows danger in the
background but then they have
changed the colour which they have
used for the text which is yellow and
white which doesn’t contrast with the
character “DeadShot”.
They have displayed all of things which
will be in the magazine , which gives the
user the knowledge of what they could be
looking forward towards , which they can
see whether or not they want to purchase
the product.
With the bard code is establishes
the magazine as a product.
The background has been linked to
the character because they have gone
down the route of danger which the
main thing which connotes the
character “DeadShot”, they have done
this by showing fire in the background
which connotes danger.

To show the importance of the
character they have chosen to
make one side of the double
page spread the person which
is in the film, majority of
magazines do this to show
importance.
With the masthead the have put it going from one page to
the other and they have done it so that on the left side it
says ”Gods and” which they have intern shown the
character because he is a god and on the other side they
have shown a monster because it says “monster”
With the colours on this double
page spread they have gone for
colours which contrast with each
other which would be mainly
white and gold which work well
with each other and also the
colour gold has connotations of
wealth and power which you can
see that in both pictures both of
the characters have power and
wealth in there own ways.
They way in which they have laid out the text is good because they have
done this to help the user when trying to read through it because it is in
order which you would expect from a magazine which helps greatly.
Another thing which they have done would be use large letters at the
start of both of the paragraphs to talk about some kind of detail which
would be necessary.

With the character they
have chosen they have
made them quite large to
show there importance in
the move industry, which
the majority of websites
and magazines do.
With the layout of the
website they have made it
very simple for the user to
go throughout the website
and find what they want
to look for at a few clicks,
which is something which
is very helpful.
With the colours they have gone
with a very simple and bland
combinations of red, white and black
as they all work well with each other,
even though there are quite simple
colours.

• In nearly all of the magazines you can see that they all have one major thing in common which would be that
they have made the whole page nearly one person which shows the importance of the person is going to be
throughout the magazine which I think it something which I am going to do in my magazine because I want
people to know that there will be one key area which talks about whoever is on the front cover which I think
will be very nice and simple to add because I wont need to have to take any pictures for the front cover as I
couldn’t I will have to go on the internet and find someone to be the front cover. Also with the double page
spread on each of these magazines they have chosen to make one side of the page someone who they are
going to go on and talk about which is something which the majority of magazines do to show what they are
going to talk about on this double page spread, also by doing this it means that they don’t have to write as
much as you have one page which has a full sized image for the artist or actor, also something which I have
seen on each of these pages would be that they have contrasted the colours to the person who is aimed
around for example on the first magazine cover they had a basketballer which they have taken his kit colours
and used them on the front cover to link them together which I think Is a very good idea to include this. Also
they more than likely on the website have made them very simplistic which is what I am aiming to do
because although it may be simple it is very easy to understand and navigate your way through the different
pages.
