How The Motherboard Is The Most Important Parts That Make...
The Motherboard is one of the most important parts that make up the PC. It is the main part as it connects and
holds together some of the most vital components such as the CPU. The CPU consists of various different
connectors such as the RAM, ROM and DRAM. It also has slots for more hard drives, video graphics card and
a power box/supply to transfer power to all the different components connect to the CPU. The motherboard is
the spine of a PC as it is required to plug in all the other components, the reason why all the systems
components are all plugged in to one board is so all the components are able to communicate and work
together. The processor (CPU) is the hardware that is the brain of the PC as it get and carries out all the ...

The fans normally suck in air from the back and discharger of the front, also air vents in the sides of the PC
cases will help the air flow keep the PC cool. The power supply is the component to a computer that will
supply power to all the other devices and components. The power supply s voltage depends on what
kind/advanced you re other components need and if you give your computer more than you need then it may
over heat and if you give your computer less it may run slowly and keep on crashing/freezing. The power
supply in constantly feeding power to the computer and will gain heat very fast, to stop the power supply from
overheating or becoming too hot there are built in fans to keep it cool. The power supply gets all of its
electricity power from the mains in your house/office which means that some old power supplies could break
from power cuts or surges, todays versions have a fuse in to stop the supply from breaking so easily. Primary
storage is basically the computer s memory that is accessed by the CPU. Some examples of primary storages
can be ROM, RAM and the processor cache. The reason why there are so many storage devices is because
some are much faster to access, for example applications will load through your RAM as it is faster than
getting it through your storage device. RAM is used every time to open a program from the hard drive, this is
because it s faster. The ROM is storage the computer uses to start/boot up your computer when you

The Character Of Ophelia In William Shakespeare s Hamlet
The character, Ophelia, in William Shakespeare s play, Hamlet, plays a very interesting role in the play s plot.
There has been quite a discussion surrounding the character, Ophelia. Some believe that she delves in the
realm of insanity. They believe that all the events that occur in her life completely wrecks her mental state.
However, this is not the case. Despite everything that Ophelia will deal with, you can still see that she just
develops an act and isn t insane. In the play s beginning, we see the state she is in. She s in love with her
boyfriend Hamlet, but her relationship is tampered by her father. During the play, she has several unpleasant
experiences involving Hamlet, which causes her to become distressed. At the play s climax, her father s death
leaves her unstable and she loses it emotionally. At this point, Shakespeare tries to convince us that Ophelia
has become truly insane. However, this is an act, and she can no longer bare life s cruel hardships. In response,
she will commit suicide.
First, let s discuss the events that led up to Ophelia s emotion turmoil. The audience learns of Ophelia s and
Hamlet s love for each other is in the play s beginning. Hamlet does not fall in love with Ophelia until after his
father s demise. Shakespeare makes it known that Ophelia is very much controlled by her father. She is the
daughter of Polonius, the chief advisor to the new King Claudius. Ophelia s father demands she is to cease
contact from prince Hamlet. Polonius states, I would not, in plain terms, from this time forth have you so
slander any moment leisure as to give words or talk with the Lord Hamlet. Look to t, I charge you. Come your
ways. (I.iii.132 35). Ophelia is shown to be powerless, as her father makes all her decisions. Ophelia s
confidence and emotions will begin to dissipate due to her father s commands. All she can reply is I do not, my
lord, what I should think. (I.iii.104). She is used to being very obedient to her father, and always relying on his
word. Even her brother turns his commands upon her as well. Her brother, Laertes, agrees with what their
father commands. He also tells Ophelia that Hamlet is not right for her, Perhaps he loves you not (I.iii.16).
Laertes believes

through the proper channels (Cascarino, Richard E., 2012, pg. 10). Most company s experience an issue with
fraud at one point in its operations. It is very unusual to find an entity that has never had to handle fraud in any
aspect. Regulatory challenges in controlling fraud goes beyond giving the appearance of attacking the issue by
combating with some of the fundamental causes (Cascarino, 2012, pg. 130). It is very important to try and
have controls set to deter fraud to the very minimal amount, however it is imperative to continue theses
controls well into the future to ward of any other fraudulent attacks (Cascarino, 2012, pg. 130).

It is just a fact that fraud cannot be eliminated, but simply deterred instead. It is recommended to have a
response action plan in case of an assault. This will provide confirmation for investors that the company is
reliable and has proper protection where it concerns its sensitive information. By being able to provide
shareholders that there are industry meeting controls and a response plan in case of a possible compromisation
with the companies information, shareholders will be more willing to invest with the entity.
As society grows in knowledge and fraudsters become just as educated in how to perform criminal acts against
individuals and financial institutions companies control should increase its awareness as well. This will
attempt to decrease the number of fraud cases that get reported every year. Progressing with time, with
application and urgency targeted toward company control, there should be a visible decrease in corporate
fraud. The best strategy taken to decrease the occurrences of fraudulent cases being reported is to become
insupportable of these types of

William Blake Essay example
William Blake William Blake was born in 1757, the third son of a London hosier. Blake lived in or near to
London, a city which dominates much of his work, whether as the nightmare London of the Songs of
Experience, or the London which Blake saw as the New Jerusalem , the kingdom of God on earth. As the son
of a hosier, a generally lower middle class occupation in late eighteenth century London, he was brought up in
a poor household, a preparation for the relative poverty in which he would live for most of his life. He also
received little formal schooling, which is all the more remarkable given both the depth and range of his
reading of the Bible, of Milton and Greek and Latin classic literature, evident throughout his ... Show more

From 1779 he was employed as an engraver for a local Bookseller, and Blake continued to earn an often
precarious living from contracted engraving until, with the help of his friend John Flaxman (1755 1826), he
was able to set up his own engraving business at 27 Broad Street, which proved not to be a successful
enterprise. It is from this point, 1784, that Blake s career as an engraver poet prophet began in earnest.
Working with the help of his dedicated wife Catherine Boucher (the daughter of a market gardener, whom he
married in 1782), Blake divided his time between composing and engraving illustrated poetry, and eking out a
precarious living as a contract engraver. His first works in illustrated painting All Religions Are One and There
is No Natural Religion (1788) followed on from the satirical verse of An Island in the Moon (1784 5), but it
was in 1789, the year of the French Revolution and the Storming of the Bastille, that saw Blake s early
masterpieces, The Book of Thel and Songs of Innocence. Between 1789 and 1800, when the Blake s moved to
Felpham, Blake was ferociously active, composing The Marriage of Heaven and Hell (1790 93), The French
Revolution (1791), America: A Prophecy (1793), Visions of the Daughters of Albion (1793), The Book of
Urizen (1794), the Songs of Experience (1793 4), Europe: A

The Last Report On The Miracles By Louise Erdrich Summary
Louise Erdrich Louise Erdrich was born on June 7, 1954 in Little Falls, Minnesota. She grew up in Wahpeton
North Dakota near Turtle Mountain reservation, where her grandfather Pat Tourneau was a Tribal chairman.
Erdrich uses characters not only to demonstrate the experiences of Native Americans, but also the heartache
and pain she has gone through in her life. Erdrich s family was far from normal, they faced many obstacles,
but unfortunately they were not able to overcome them. In 1981 she married Michael Dorris, a professor of
anthropology and head of the Native American studies program at Dartmouth (Andrews, McCarthy). Louise
met Michael upon her return to Dartmouth as a writer. Although Louise and Michael did not ... Show more

Hauled halfway across Minnesota from Little Rock brickwoods pious drivers, they still held the peculiar
sulfurous moth gold of the clay outside the town (Erdrich). This setting was a one of many that Erdrich
remembered from Minnesota. At the beginning of the book The Last Report on the Miracles at Little No Horse
Erdrich introduces the readers to one of many examples of alcoholism. Then six grasshopper years occurred
during which even the handles on the hoes and rakes were eaten and a U.S. cavalry soldier, too , partially
devoured while he lay drunk in the insects path (Erdrich). Erdrich uses a character in her book that seems to be
in pain due to her circumstances. It was as though her soul were neatly removed by a drinking straw and
siphoned into the green pool of quiet that lay beneath the rippling cascade of notes (Erdrich). This character
also seems resolute to use music as a way to cope with her emotions, just as Louise uses writing as a way to
share her stories and escape the reality of life sometimes. At the piano keyboard, absorbed into the notes that
rose beneath her hands, she existed in her essence (Erdrich). The character felt as though she meant something
while playing the piano. Even when things were going wrong her escape was

Nina Semone born (Eunice Kathleen Waymon ,February 21,1933 April 21,2003)was an American singer

Charles Perrault s Cinderell The Little Glass Slipper
Young children are exposed to princes and princesses through books, television shows, or films. The charm
depicted in these characters has made them so appealing to young children that becoming an actual prince or
princess is practically every kid s fantasy. Some parents and educators find these characters appropriate and
harmless to be shown to kids; however, many may argue that these characters have a negative influence on
kids. In three different versions of the classic fairy tale Cinderella Charles Perrault s Cinderella: Or, The Little
Glass Slipper,
The Grimm Brothers Ashputtle, and Tanith Lee s When The Clock Strikes, The most well known story of all
demonstrates that Princes and princesses do not serve as good role models because they give children the
impression of unrealistic standards of beauty by promoting poor self image, they impose false hope that every
relationship ends happily, and they teach unrealistic morals.
Princes and princesses are portrayed in a way that puts so much emphasis on physical beauty which increases
poor self esteem in young children. Princes and princesses always show importance to their appearance. In the
short story Cinderella, author Perrault presents the two step sisters as being completely immersed in their
looks. The narrator notes that: I shall wear my red velvet with the lace trimming, said the eldest, There s
always my diamond necklace said the youngest (54). This particular

Cultural Assimilation And The American Culture
For immigrants in America, two radically different choices of culture exist. First, the immigrants can choose to
stay loyal to their ancestral roots and deny mainstream culture. Instead of contributing to the melting pot of
opinions present they isolate within themselves by refusing to learn both the English language and American
culture as a whole. Because they cannot communicate with a majority of the population, they don t maintain
any amount of control over American ideals including both politically and socially. The second opportunity
available would be to embrace this new found culture, no matter how foreign it is to them, and develop a sense
of unity with America. If immigrants wish to break the currently controlled system of power and privilege in
America and truly become a part of American customs, they must learn to assimilate culturally. Cultural
assimilation is the process by which a foreign party becomes engulfed in and a part of a host nations culture.
Throughout America s history a pattern exists of immigrants coming to the land of the free and becoming an
essential part of our culture. At first America was primarily populated by English immigrants who refused to
obey the rule of England s crown authority. Soon after, immigrants began pouring into the country in the form
of other Europeans including the German and the Irish. One look at much of the architecture in older areas of
America shows just how much influence immigrants had on our early country. One

Persuasive Essay On Yellowstone National Park
Yellowstone National Park, untamed wild beauty. Stunning landscapes, beautiful waterfalls and rivers,
breathtaking wildlife, and geothermal activity all come together to make Yellowstone an amazing place.
People come from all over the world to witness the beauty of Yellowstone. It is a regulated national park for a
reason, it is so amazing, so beautiful, so spectacular to not preserve it. It hosts bison, elk, deer, bald eagles,
bears, moose, beavers, and amazing trout rivers, everything a perfect mountain ecosystem should hold.
However now there is something else, something that is natural, was removed but has now returned,
flourishing and benefiting its surroundings. Wolves, have been reintroduced into Yellowstone and have greatly
benefited the area. These wolves have started a positive and beneficial renewal in the park. The reintroduction
of wolves into Yellowstone National Park is beneficial because they created and natural and beneficial trophic
cascade, other animals in the park benefited from the wolves, and because the land was able to regrow and
flourish due to the wolves presence. Since the reintroduction of wolves into Yellowstone they have created an
astounding and advantageous trophic cascade. A trophic cascade is an ecological phenomenon triggered by the
addition or removal of top predators and involving reciprocal changes in the relative populations of predator
and prey through a food chain. These often result in dramatic changes in ecosystem structure and nutrient
cycling. In a three level food chain, an increase (or decrease) in carnivores causes a decrease (or increase) in
herbivores and an increase (or decrease) in primary producers such as plants and phytoplankton according to
briticanna (how to make better). The entire ecosystem was able to become whole again because the wolves, a
key species, were reintroduced. Now this may seem weird, a predator comes into the area a begins to kill
animals, how can this be beneficial in any way? Well the fact of the matter is that it is extremely beneficial.
The reason being the problem in Yellowstone was the overpopulation of the elk. These elk had no predators,
they were free to roam and reproduce, and they did this very well. Now elk are also a

The Occurrence Of Iron Deficiency Anemia
Nutrition is an essential component in the complex development of infants, mainly because of their rapid
growth in one year. One of the most prevalent nutrition problems among young children in the United States is
iron deficiency anemia.1 Anemia is defined as a reduction below normal in the number of red blood cells per
cubic millimeter in the quantity of hemoglobin, or in the volume of packed red blood cells per 100 milliliters
of blood.1 This reduction occurs when the balance between blood loss and blood production is disturbed.1
Iron deficiency can be defined as absent bone marrow iron stores, an increase in hemoglobin concentration of
less than 1.0 g/dL after treatment with iron, or other abnormal values.1 Iron deficiency is found to be more
common among low income children and among African American and Mexican American children.1 The
consequences of iron deficiency anemia include poor cognitive and motor development. The purpose of this
paper is to present four research studies all focusing on the occurrence of iron deficiency anemia in newborns
in developing countries. The first study will focus on the behavior of infants with iron deficiency anemia2 in
Costa Rica. The following study will exhibit anemia in pregnancy3 and the impact on weight and in the
development of anemia in the newborn3 in Brazil. The third study will present the effect of maternal iron
deficiency anemia on the iron store of newborns in Ethiopia.4 Lastly, the fourth study is a prospective study

Public Enemies Movie Analysis
Director Michael Mann releases his movie Public Enemy to the public on July 1, 2009. This nonfiction
biographical movie of the character John Dillinger (Johnny Depp) fascinates the viewers with his charming
self, witty audacity, and bold bravery of his gangster style bank robberies during the Depression era of
America s greatest crime wave. Characters such as Baby Face Nelson (Stephen Graham), Pretty Boy Floyd
(Channing Tatum), Homer Van Meter (Stephen Dorff), and Evelyn Billie Frechette (Marion Cotillard)
displayed their elusiveness of the federal agents with their burglaries through Ohio and Indiana as the
American gangsters. Labeled by J. Edgar Hoover (Billy Crudup) as America s first Public Enemy Number
One, Dillinger s brashness erupted even more. The enlistment of FBI s top agent, Melvin Purvis (Christian
Bale), gave the instructional task of bringing in this charismatic and troubling evildoer Dillinger dead or alive.
Nevertheless, this movie introduced us to this charming character Dillinger. The comparison and contrast of
the true realities verses the movie actually handles the injustices differently than what the screen displays.
Drama, bad boy image, lovers, and reckless abandonment of the law lures us to an unrealistic reality to the

beside remains: In this quote it talks about how Ozymandias puts on his statue that he is almighty and nobody

man talks to the wind and asks it to do things for him. When he wants something done he somewhat prays to

The Research Approach And Strategies
The research method needs the research philosophy approach and strategies made use of to conduct the

the first layer of the research onion is philosophy. The study will consequently use positivism and

law like suppositions like cause and effect; thereby reflecting the philosophy of positivism. The study will
adopt a scientific method to suggest and test theories with information which is structured and assessable and
in which the research is not affected by the study researcher s values. Such a method normally involves large
samples of quantitative information and testing of statistical hypothesis. Because the study is also concerned
with collecting information regarding subjective meanings on top of providing law like suppositions brought
about by positivism, the study will also make use of the philosophy of interpretivism. The

Historical Events that Impacted Contact Improvisation
Dance has evolved greatly throughout the centuries. It began with ballet and has led up to contact
improvisation. This form of dance begun in the early 1970 s and was started by a man named Steve Paxton
and a group of postmodern dancers from New York City. Contact improvisation is a partnering form of dance
and known as the art of moving spontaneously with a group or another person. This form of dance does not
require the exact set of traditional skills of other dance form, it doesn t have a technique that could be studied,
and it is practiced in order to accomplish the highest potential. Contact improvisation came at a great time
period, which of course was the 70 s. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Although the Watergate Scandal was an important event during this time period I don t think it greatly affected
contact improvisation.
Another important historical event that occurred during this time period was the end of the Cold War. In 1975,
under President Gerald Ford the US joined the USSR and thirty three other countries to sign the Helsinki
Accords that each member of nations vowed to respect human rights and boundaries. I think the whole end of
the Cold War greatly affected this dance. I think by using contact improvisation it sort of represented people s
feelings better by being able to interact with each other. So by using contact improvisation I think the dancers
were able to get their point across to the audience better. Therefore, the end of the Cold War was probably very
important for contact improvisation and expressing yourself.
Finally, the Vietnam War was another important historical event going on in the 1970s. When Nixon was
president he sent American troop strength in Vietnam. He also set up a program of Vietnamization, which was
decreasing the number of U.S. troops, offering only advice and assistance. The U.S. troops eventually returned
from Vietnam but the U.S. did not stop with its involvement in Vietnam. Nixon then extended the war into

describes an autistic person s actions, implicating that the individual is detached from civil communication.

colorless, and tasteless. Doctors thought that LSD would treat autism because of its psychotomimetic effects.
A decade later, researchers found that therapies would be the most beneficial to autistic patients. The most
common, however, was the behavioral therapy. This focused on helping change unwanted behavior. It is also
called cognitive behavioral therapy or behavioral modification. Doctors and therapists use this type of therapy
to replace bad habits with good ones. The therapy also helps you cope with difficult situations.
In todays society, the most useful cure for autism is behavioral therapy and language therapy. As I noted
above, behavioral therapy helps replace bad habits. Language therapy helps the patient speak and understand
how to communicate with others.
There are many symptoms in which an autistic person has. The first, and most common, is the inability to
comfortably speak to other human beings. Everyday, you have a conversation effortlessly with another person.

Do Boycotts Work?
December 1, 1955, an African American woman named Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat to a white
passenger on a city bus in Montgomery, Alabama. By refusing to give up her seat, Rosa Parks was arrested.
Dr. King held a meeting at his church the next night to discuss ways of dealing with her arrest and protesting
her arrest. So, they decided that they would have a bus boycott, beginning on Monday, December the 5th. Her
refusal caused what is now known as the Montgomery Boycott. Since the boycott caused a larger quantity of
all black patrons, Dr. King realized that although a boycott was needed, many of the patrons were afraid of
taking a chance on boycotting because of the effect it may have ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The boycott changed the way black people could get around without using the bus system. Because of state
laws, bus segregation was allowed, forcing an organized bus boycott. This boycott caused decreases, the
demand curve shifted to the left, showing a higher availability of empty seats for bus transportation and a lot
less potential Black patrons as bus riders. With the boycott organized by Dr. King for the citizens, blacks
represented 44% of the population, so with the choices of transportation limited for this demographic,
substitute means were put in place from what was offered by the bus transportation company. The substitutes
that were organized included car pools and other means of transportation which acted as competition for the
transportation bus business. The bus companies were ready to give in because they saw their profits decreased,
and a rise in the number of citizens using an alternate means of transportation. Because of the carpooling, the
demand curve shifted to the right, and the profits for the bus transportation industry

Most seem to be video game themed. Is this because people want to hear that type of music or do you have a
particular interest in it?
Tom: Yes and no. I know I certainly have an interest in video game themes as I grew up in the 8 bit generation
and there is a great deal of nostalgia associated with those themes. But in reality most of the themes we ve
done are based off of movies and TV. At the moment it feels like we focus on videogames because we just
released the 8 bit themes album. That particular album was a perk that we offered our supporters during a
crowdfund campaign that we wrapped up in January. But going forward, it will be a healthy mix of all kinds of
music.
Sonya: So far we have released two albums. The first one was a compilation of various arrangements of
Film/TV scores like Doctor Who and Ghost Waltz (main title of Stepford Wives), Anime scores like Akira,
classical pieces like Montagues and Capulets from Romeo and Juliet by Sergey Prokofiev, popular songs like
Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen and video games like Street Fighter and Tetris. As Tom mentioned, our second
8 bit Themes Piano Album was in fact a perk we offered during our indiegogo campaign. Tom is a huge fan of
video games. I belong more to the Film/TV world. However, I had a blast arranging all those 8 bit video game
songs for the album. Overall, we re trying not to focus on any particular genre but to stay as diverse

Similarities Between Living Up The Street And The House On...
DIscrimination Toward Gary and Esperanza Many Chicana men and women were unprivileged, being forced
to live life facing challenges with no escape because of their race. They searched for a never ending way out.
In the books, Living Up The Street, By Gary Soto, and The House On Mango Street, By Sandra Cisneros, both
authors relate to their life as a Latina/Latino incorporating their emotions and some past experiences from their
childhood. Both books follow the characters throughout their lives, but more so in Living up the Street, By
Gary Soto. This shows through the development of the characters throughout the chapters/vignettes. Cisneros,
the author of The House On Mango Street, and Soto, the author of Living up the street both show
discrimination. They show discrimination through their poor neighborhoods, the name calling between the
characters, and the jobs they were entitled to make, which led them to making a lower profit than the whites
throughout their lives. In The House On Mango Street, By Sandra Cisneros, The author talks about her
outdated and poor community in a Latino section of Chicago through Esperanza s character. She is forced to
constantly move from broken down apartments, to tiny rundown homes. Esperanza recently moved into a poor
and outdated, mostly Latino neighborhood in the city of Chicago, which is very similar to the author s
hometown. In vignette number one Esperanza says, The house on Mango Street is ours, and we don t have to

Steven Universe Stereotypes
When kids sit down in front of their Saturday morning TV, what are they seeing? Maybe they re watching
Hannah Montana, and they see that their favorite pop star in disguise is totally freaking out that the cutest boy
in school asked her to prom. Or maybe they re watching Fairly Odd Parents and notice that Timmy Turner
always gets hearts in his eyes when he sees his crush, Trixie Tang. These instances might mean little to nothing
for the decidedly heterosexual, but heteronormativity leaves out children who are questioning or exploring
their sexualities. This is where Cartoon Network s Steven Universe comes leaping to the rescue. This is a show
that explores a spectrum of queer relationships and identities without resorting to stereotypes. Representation
like this is important because children of all identities and orientations need to be shown that not only are they
not alone, but people similar to themselves can lead successful lives. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Michael Ventura and Mark McClain Taylor (1998) argues that voodoo is a shattered religion that was put back
together to serve the people of African descents. He further argues that voodoo is not so much Africa in the
New World as it is Africa meeting the New World, absorbing it and being absorbed by it, and re forming (p.

new religion, but a hybrid of counterhistory. This means that African slaves were able to insert their own
religion in a number of ways to counter Western dominance. On the other hand, transnationalism was

Graphic Novel American Born Chinese By Gene Yang
The fact that the book, American Born Chinese, was written as a graphic novel is no coincidence. Author Gene
Yang had this purposely done to help the reader understand what he was trying to convey. Through the use of
all different comic making techniques, Yang creates a masterpiece of a graphic novel which vividly conveys
the message of growing up as a Chinese immigrant in America and the struggles they face so they can
successfully assimilate in America. Probably the most effective technique that Yang uses, the use of realistic vs

The idea of people becoming a totally different person in the matter of hours is totally unrealistic. For Jin to
change into a totally new person wouldn t make sense to do in a traditional novel. It would be out of place and
just would confuse the reader. This probably has something to do with the fact that graphic novel s aren t taken
so seriously. Comics/Graphic Novels are perceived as new media. Most of the time new media is
misunderstood or is taken as a joke. For example, when books first came out, people were probably telling
their kids to stop reading so much because it isn t as important. It was the same thing as when smartphones

At times, it is not always about fighting or going to war, but it is about going to war with the problem and
making the decision that you can affect the problem. African Americans only thought violence was the way to
get their point across, but everyone has to be on the same page. Even today with police brutality all these riots,
and violent behavior is not going to bring change in the world because we need to have one mindset. Our
society is dealing with modern slavery and we have to find a way to obtain a resolution on how our black
males can stop getting murdered or mass incarcerated. African Americans need to step up as individuals
because they cannot rely on the leaders of the past. If the young of the African American society read this

In Marigolds by Eugenia Collier, Lizabeth is a 14 year old girl during the Great Depression. She spends her
days playing with the other children and occasionally annoying Ms. Lottie, a grumpy, old lady that is very
protective of her marigolds. One day the children throw rocks at Ms. Lottie s garden and taunt her. That night
she hears her father sobbing, this combined with the guilt of mocking Ms. Lottie is too much for Lizabeth, and
in a state of emotional unrest she runs to Ms. Lottie s garden and destroys it. Lizabeth reminisces on this

Examples Of Team Sensemaking
Accordingly to Jensen (2009) sensemaking within a team is affected by the team s team process. The team
process can be described as team members individual act that transform inputs into outcomes through
cognitive, verbal and behavioral activities to organize work and achieve collective goals (Marks et al. 2001).
Team sensemaking is defined as the process where a team manages and coordinates its efforts to explain and
understand a situation and anticipate future situations, often during unclear conditions (Klein et al, 2010).
Klein et al (2010) further argues that team sensemaking is not a new kind of sensemaking, it is rather the
coordination of the team members when seeking data, synthesize the data and then disseminate inferences.

This concept is similarly defined as collective sensemaking by Albert and Hayes (2006) who define it as
sensemaking by a group of individuals both in established and ad hoc situations who collaborates on a specific

(2010) a shared awareness, knowledge, understanding and interaction between the collaborators (Albert
Hayes, 2006). The concept of collective sensemaking will be explained in more detail in the next the section.
Klein et al (2010) further argues that team sensemaking is a process that contributes to the larger process of
team adaption. Klein et al (2010) developed a model on team adaption, using concepts on a similar team
adaption model by Burke et al. (2006). The model by Klein et al (2010) of team adaption consists of three
concepts for reaching operational success which is building a picture, building a plan and executing a plan.

The Importance Of Freedom In The United States
Since this country s inception, America has been a haven of freedom for all its citizens. Beginning with the
Pilgrims, who came to this new world in an effort to escape persecution for the fundamental aspects of their
cultural identity. The Pilgrims show, that these freedoms existed even before this country decided to build its
country foundation upon them. The men who founded this great nation, looked back in history as they penned
what is now known as the Constitution. This unprecedented union´s law code was not brought to bear based
entirely upon newly created principles. Rather, they employed principles from many other historical
documents, including the Magna Carta, and George Mason´s 1776 Virginia Declaration of Rights. Shortly
after the foundation of the country, the requisite for an iron willed leader arose. A retired general was called to
the forefront of the newly created Union. General George Washington reluctantly accepted the power of the
newly created office. In truth, he created the powers afforded to the vocation now known as president, it has
even been said he had to decline the title of king. The first president served this country honorably, before
stepping down after the conclusion of this second term. He had declined the title of king in name, and would
now also decline the role of a despot by staying in power for more than two terms. This set a long precedent of
self imposed term limits for presidents to come, a precedent that would last until the modern era of the
presidency with President Franklin Delano Roosevelt. This Union was tested again during the Civil War. A
time when slavery divided this country greatly. When, a single issue, threatened to break the bonds of
patriotism. For it was Benjamin Franklin, who, when asked what type of government the nation would now
have after the valiant victory years before in the American Revolution, he said, ¨A republic, if you can keep it.¨
Though, for once in the nation s history, there was a legitimate fear that the bonds of our shared heritage could
not save the republic from those that expressed an inclination to exacerbate the minimal contempts between
the two factions. President Lincoln, in his Gettysburg Address, said, ¨Now we are

Inherently, the focus of God is love and to respect His authority is to love Him. Learning to worship God as
Trinity involves more than just searching for creative techniques. We need to know about the nature of our
triune God if we are to worship him and enjoy him properly (Shaw 79). Often when I feel discouraged, the
instinct is to blame God, the creator of everything. Sometimes I get so wrapped up in my own selfishness, that
I forget all the things God has done, not just for me, but also for the world. His mercy is compassionate love
for sinners who do not deserve the redemption in Christ that he offers. His grace likewise speaks of his free
favor granted to sinners (Shaw 81). I am also reminded that God is transcendent. He surpasses time and
money, earth and space. God is so important, that metaphors are constantly referred to as representing God:
God is a rock, God is the light, God is the bread, God is a fortress, God is the potter and we are the clay (GCU
text). According to the text, creation and humanity are the work of a triune God. Creation includes the entire
activity of God. In creation all three persons are at work simultaneously, including the Holy Spirit (Gen 1:2)
and the Word (John 1:1) (Chapter 5). 3 Studies of Jesus primarily focus on the duality of Jesus and how he is

James Cook transformed exploration with the use of modern technology to carry out his explorations,
specifically the use of navigation technology and even the use of mathematics. Cook was a late bloomer in the
age of exploration, but definitely made his mark, as he became one of the most accomplished explorers of all
time. Cook used the latest scientific methods and techniques of cartography to chart his voyages to places such
as Tahiti, Australia, New Zealand and of course Hawaii. This led to more explorers from other countries
following his lead in later explorations during the 1700 s. The main reason Cook was put in the position to

He gained technical skills needed to make an effective explorer so he could continue to carry out difficult
explorations to un charted territories. He became accustomed and well off using a sextant, chronometer and
octant just to name a few. Cook further advanced the way explorers navigate, stated in the text the contribution
to the solution of the long standing and very grave problem of calculating longitude was based upon the
successful work of astronomers and watchmakers his advancement of surveying and cartography gave scope
for much greater individuality (Price 6). Cook was one of the first to explore the Pacific and these technologies
had evolved over the years to where he relied heavily on them. Cook relied on them to configure how much
time and the distance it would take to sail to and from the various destinations. With this introduction to this
new technology, Cook could now always get back home without loosing any crewman. Cook created many
maps and to create accurate maps representing the explorations he went on, it was important that latitude and
longitude were accurately determined. Luckily for Cook, navigators had been able to work out latitude
accurately for centuries before him by measuring the angle of the sun with a certain instruments, these being a
backstaff or quadrant. Longitude was certainly more difficult to measure accurately because it requires precise
standpoints of the time difference between points on the surface of the earth. On his first voyage, Cook
gathered accurate longitude measurements due to his navigational skills. Cook states, the appearance of this

The Symbolism Of Pappachi s Moth
In God of small things, Pappachi s moth is used as a symbolic meaning, however in the book Pappachi s moth
takes on several different meanings. At the core, the moth it self refers to the insect Pappachi discovers one
day and believes to be an undiscovered species of moth. This is the big moment of his life and can t wait too
see the joy it brings to others, and, as we find out, his life s greatest setback was not having had the moth that
he had discovered named after him . This greatest down fall in Pappachi s life is symbolised through the moth
and the pain and suffereing it brings to him. Later in Pappachi s life, some butterfly experts find out that the
moth he had discovered is actually a separate species of moth, but they don t name

Gears and Simple Machines
Gears are part of one of the six simple machines, the wheel and axle. Simple machines, such as the wheel and
axle, are mechanisms created to make difficult work much easier. The six simple machines consist of the
inclined plane, screw, lever, pulley, wedge, and wheel and axle. Gears can be found in many household items
today. For example, watches, bicycles, and pencil sharpeners. The most common object, in which gears are
found, is the car. The car s steering wheel is a simple machine, called the wheel and axle. Gears however, are
not found in the steering wheel, but are located in the engine. The gears are then controlled by the gear shift,
which spins the gears around, causing the car to move or brake. Gears are circular objects that have teeth all
around the outer rim, or just a wheel with teeth. When in movement, if a singular gear s teeth fit into a second
gear, it will cause that second gear to rotate in the opposite direction of the first gear. This can then be
continued by adding more gears, which in turn create a system of gears. A gear system can be used to function
a machine, such as car s gear shift. This system is called a gear train. Whichever gear starts the gear train by
rotating is called the driver. The final gear on the opposite end of the train is called the driven gear. Meshed
Gears is a gear train of five or more gears. There are many other gear types such as Spur gears, bevel gears,
worm gears, rack gears, and internal gears. All these gears are

Re Thinking Queer Bodies Through Law
RE THINKING QUEER BODIES THROUGH LAW
The paper is an attempt to examine body and its construction in the colonial period and its post colonial
impact. I locate this body in the category of queer subject. The colonial administration created the category of
the queer subject as a result of governance, i.e. through the adoption of Indian Penal Code ( IPC ) in 1860.
Section 377 of the IPC criminalized sexual offense against the order of nature (non procreative sex). The paper
historically draws out Section 377 of the IPC. Through a close reading of the judgment the paper focuses on
analysing the limits that the law poses to a discussion of sexuality. The paper, while recognising the
importance of law and legal spaces acknowledges the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
the use of knowledge to rationalise, systematise and police the Indian subjects), is used as a framework by post
colonial analysts in analysing the constitution of the subject to the formation of the state. India has two parts to
the colonial history. The former when East India Company had the reigns of command and latter when the
Crown controlled the functioning of India. The two differed in the way in which power was exercised.
Post the Revolt of 1857 saw a reconstitution of the colonial power. One of the most significant one was the
adoption of the IPC in 1860. The IPC was introduced without either an understanding of the Indian
community or consultation with Indian leadership. The colonial administration implicitly created the queer
subject by criminalizing sexual intercourse against the order of nature in Section 377 of the IPC. The primary
occupation of the paper is to provide a different reading of the 2009 Delhi High Court Judgment on Section
377 of the IPC(Naz Foundation (India) Trust vs. Government of India Ors WP (C) No.7455/2001 (Delhi High
Court July 2, 2009). The paper first historically draws out how the queer subject came to be placed under
Section 377 of the IPC. Having done this I spell out the frame of my analysis. In the third section in the paper I
provide my different reading of the judgment. In the last two sections I provide the critique of the judgment,
examine the limits of law the judgment and paradoxes within law based

High Stakes Testing Case Study
Despite of the policymakers efforts to implement strategies in order to evaluate and enhance special education
effectiveness, the high stakes testing system has several negative consequences to students, as shown at Pazey
et. al. study The More Things Change, the More They Stay the Same: Comparing Special Education Students
Experiences of Accountability Reform Across Two Decades . This qualitative case study interviewed 12
especial education students, half in 1995 and the other half 2012, after the introduction of the testing system
and, later on, following two decades of implementation. According to this research, exceptional students felt
marginalized when assigned to separated test preparation classes, when they failed the exams. In addition,

Descriptive Essay About Makeup
Women have been wearing makeup for years. Throughout the years, I transform myself into celebrities I look
up too. To transform into a character, I need the proper makeup tools to help me look like Angelina Jolie. The
tools I need are makeup brushes: contour brush, eyeshadow brush, angled eyeliner brush. Transforming my
face into a well known celebrity challenges my skills. To transform my face, I see my characteristics are
similar to Angelina Jolie. I identify my face to see if the transformation is possible. I need defined cheeks
because Angelina Jolie s cheek bones is her most prominent feature. The cheeks must be high and well
defined. Defining the cheeks, I choose a medium brown shade of eyeshadow or bronzer. The forehead is the
second most important feature to create. Angelina Jolie has a long, narrow forehead, as mine is wide. Having
the medium brown shadow on my temples it creates shadows. I create the illusion of a long forehead. After
identifying my features, I am ready to start my transformation. The alterations for my face will take time to
prefect. It will take an hour or longer to do. I might have to attempt the look a few times until I get it right.
When I perfect the look, I am ready to start. Next, I clean my face to have a clean canvas. Then moisturize my
face so the makeup does not look cakey. Now time to collect my makeup supplies. The conversion of my face
is ready to perceive.
The figuration is ready to start. I have the right makeup choices to

The Politics Of Buddhist Revival
An article was written by Laurence Cox that explores several aspects of U Dhammaloka s Buddhism, and who
he was as a Buddhist (Cox, 2010). Laurence Cox explores U Dhammaloka s involvement in the Buddhist Tract
Society (BTS), as a social movement organizer, and his participation in politics. (Cox, 2010).
Summary
Cox, (2010), in his article The Politics of Buddhist Revival: U Dhammaloka s as Social Movement Organiser,
explains who U Dhammalok s was as a Buddhist (Cox, 2010). U Dhammaloka was born Irish turned Buddhist
Monk, he was Fiery Tempered, Quick Witted, and Charming as well as Sociable (Cox, 2010, p. 174)).
Dhammaloka was involved in union organizing, socialism, spiritualism, anarchism, atheism, and an Irish
nationalism (Cox, 2010, p. 176). Also, Dhammaloka was known as a great orator and a man that was known
for public confrontation also (Cox, 2010, p. 188). In addition to being the first European monk, he was first to
be recognized as a European to conduct a Buddhist ordination (Cox, 2010, p. 174). However, Dhammaloka s
involvement in the Buddhist Tract Society, the BTS represented a considerable portion of organizing that U
Dhammaloka used to spread his message (Cox, 2010, p. 177). According to the article, Dhammaloka was
extremely active as a newspaper communicator and relied on the newspaper to distribute his teaching on
Buddhism (Cox, 2010, p. 179). He felt that the paper was a method that he could use to receive publicity and
defend himself in

Don John Villain Essay
At first glance the character Don John resembles a traditional villain. Miriam Webster defines a villain as, a
cruelly malicious person who is involved in or devoted to wickedness or crime , but does this truly define the
psyche of Don John? As a bastard, or an illegitimate son, Don John has always been out of the spotlight,
portrayed as an idea of someone who doesn t belong in a natural heir decent. In reality though, Don John is
one of the only people in the play that shows a vulnerable, honest reflection of himself. In a scene he confesses
to Conrad that, [he] cannot hide what [he is]. [he] must be sad / when [he has] cause, and smile at no man s
jests; eat when [he has] / stomach, and wait for no man s leisure; sleep when [he is] / drowsy, and tend on no
man s business (I.3.10 13). Because for ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Other characters, like the Prince, have a place in the society of Messina. Despite being the only character
without this social status, Don John is one of the only characters who stays true to who he thinks he is.
Thought the play several of the other charters call into question who they are, who they support, and what role
they play, but Don John stands apart. IN act one this becomes more evident as he declares himself a plain
dealing villain (I.3.25), and that others should seek not to alter [him] (I.3.29), meaning that altho is position as
a outsider was not chosen, he knows his place and his identity. This rhetoric that Don John states draws a stark
comparison and revels the reality that all the confusion that is caused is because the other charters are not
capable of honest reflections of themselves. If Claudio was able to do an honest reflection about himself,
perhaps he would have realized that his quickly changed mind about affections for Hero means that he is not
in love at all. IN addition perhaps is Hero was able to this same sort of reflection, he would have realized that
in her marriage she sought only to please others, and her happiness lie

It is the main part as it connects and holds together some of the most vital components such as the CPU. The CPU consists of various different connectors such as the RAM, ROM and DRAM. It also has slots for more hard drives, video graphics card and a power box/supply to transfer power to all the different components connect to the CPU. The motherboard is the spine of a PC as it is required to plug in all the other components, the reason why all the systems components are all plugged in to one board is so all the components are able to communicate and work together. Primary storage is basically the computer s memory that is accessed by the CPU. Some examples of primary storages can be ROM, RAM and the processor cache. The reason why there are so many storage devices is because some are much faster to access, for example applications will load through your RAM as it is faster than getting it through your storage device. RAM is used every time to open a program from the hard drive, this is because it s faster. The ROM is storage the computer uses to start/boot up your computer when you ... • 3. The Character Of Ophelia In William Shakespeare s Hamlet The character, Ophelia, in William Shakespeare s play, Hamlet, plays a very interesting role in the play s plot. There has been quite a discussion surrounding the character, Ophelia. Some believe that she delves in the realm of insanity. They believe that all the events that occur in her life completely wrecks her mental state. However, this is not the case. Despite everything that Ophelia will deal with, you can still see that she just develops an act and isn t insane. In the play s beginning, we see the state she is in. She s in love with her boyfriend Hamlet, but her relationship is tampered by her father. During the play, she has several unpleasant experiences involving Hamlet, which causes her to become distressed. At the play s climax, her father s death leaves her unstable and she loses it emotionally. At this point, Shakespeare tries to convince us that Ophelia has become truly insane. However, this is an act, and she can no longer bare life s cruel hardships. In response, she will commit suicide. First, let s discuss the events that led up to Ophelia s emotion turmoil. The audience learns of Ophelia s and Hamlet s love for each other is in the play s beginning. Hamlet does not fall in love with Ophelia until after his father s demise. Shakespeare makes it known that Ophelia is very much controlled by her father. She is the daughter of Polonius, the chief advisor to the new King Claudius. Ophelia s father demands she is to cease contact from prince Hamlet. Polonius states, I would not, in plain terms, from this time forth have you so slander any moment leisure as to give words or talk with the Lord Hamlet. Look to t, I charge you. Come your ways. (I.iii.132 35). Ophelia is shown to be powerless, as her father makes all her decisions. Ophelia s confidence and emotions will begin to dissipate due to her father s commands. All she can reply is I do not, my lord, what I should think. (I.iii.104). She is used to being very obedient to her father, and always relying on his word. Even her brother turns his commands upon her as well. Her brother, Laertes, agrees with what their father commands. He also tells Ophelia that Hamlet is not right for her, Perhaps he loves you not (I.iii.16). Laertes believes ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Regulatory challenges in controlling fraud goes beyond giving the appearance of attacking the issue by combating with some of the fundamental causes (Cascarino, 2012, pg. 130). It is very important to try and have controls set to deter fraud to the very minimal amount, however it is imperative to continue theses controls well into the future to ward of any other fraudulent attacks (Cascarino, 2012, pg. 130). By being able to provide shareholders that there are industry meeting controls and a response plan in case of a possible compromisation with the companies information, shareholders will be more willing to invest with the entity. As society grows in knowledge and fraudsters become just as educated in how to perform criminal acts against individuals and financial institutions companies control should increase its awareness as well. This will attempt to decrease the number of fraud cases that get reported every year. Blake lived in or near to London, a city which dominates much of his work, whether as the nightmare London of the Songs of Experience, or the London which Blake saw as the New Jerusalem , the kingdom of God on earth. As the son of a hosier, a generally lower middle class occupation in late eighteenth century London, he was brought up in a poor household, a preparation for the relative poverty in which he would live for most of his life. He also received little formal schooling, which is all the more remarkable given both the depth and range of his reading of the Bible, of Milton and Greek and Latin classic literature, evident throughout his ... It is from this point, 1784, that Blake s career as an engraver poet prophet began in earnest. Working with the help of his dedicated wife Catherine Boucher (the daughter of a market gardener, whom he married in 1782), Blake divided his time between composing and engraving illustrated poetry, and eking out a precarious living as a contract engraver. His first works in illustrated painting All Religions Are One and There is No Natural Religion (1788) followed on from the satirical verse of An Island in the Moon (1784 5), but it was in 1789, the year of the French Revolution and the Storming of the Bastille, that saw Blake s early masterpieces, The Book of Thel and Songs of Innocence. Between 1789 and 1800, when the Blake s moved to Felpham, Blake was ferociously active, composing The Marriage of Heaven and Hell (1790 93), The French Revolution (1791), America: A Prophecy (1793), Visions of the Daughters of Albion (1793), The Book of Urizen (1794), the Songs of Experience (1793 4), Europe: A ... She grew up in Wahpeton North Dakota near Turtle Mountain reservation, where her grandfather Pat Tourneau was a Tribal chairman. Erdrich uses characters not only to demonstrate the experiences of Native Americans, but also the heartache and pain she has gone through in her life. Erdrich s family was far from normal, they faced many obstacles, but unfortunately they were not able to overcome them. The charm depicted in these characters has made them so appealing to young children that becoming an actual prince or princess is practically every kid s fantasy. Some parents and educators find these characters appropriate and harmless to be shown to kids; however, many may argue that these characters have a negative influence on kids. In three different versions of the classic fairy tale Cinderella Charles Perrault s Cinderella: Or, The Little Glass Slipper, The Grimm Brothers Ashputtle, and Tanith Lee s When The Clock Strikes, The most well known story of all demonstrates that Princes and princesses do not serve as good role models because they give children the impression of unrealistic standards of beauty by promoting poor self image, they impose false hope that every relationship ends happily, and they teach unrealistic morals. Princes and princesses are portrayed in a way that puts so much emphasis on physical beauty which increases poor self esteem in young children. Princes and princesses always show importance to their appearance. In the short story Cinderella, author Perrault presents the two step sisters as being completely immersed in their looks. • 11. Cultural Assimilation And The American Culture For immigrants in America, two radically different choices of culture exist. First, the immigrants can choose to stay loyal to their ancestral roots and deny mainstream culture. Instead of contributing to the melting pot of opinions present they isolate within themselves by refusing to learn both the English language and American culture as a whole. Because they cannot communicate with a majority of the population, they don t maintain any amount of control over American ideals including both politically and socially. The second opportunity available would be to embrace this new found culture, no matter how foreign it is to them, and develop a sense of unity with America. If immigrants wish to break the currently controlled system of power and privilege in America and truly become a part of American customs, they must learn to assimilate culturally. Cultural assimilation is the process by which a foreign party becomes engulfed in and a part of a host nations culture. Throughout America s history a pattern exists of immigrants coming to the land of the free and becoming an essential part of our culture. At first America was primarily populated by English immigrants who refused to obey the rule of England s crown authority. Soon after, immigrants began pouring into the country in the form of other Europeans including the German and the Irish. One look at much of the architecture in older areas of America shows just how much influence immigrants had on our early country. One ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 12. Persuasive Essay On Yellowstone National Park Yellowstone National Park, untamed wild beauty. Stunning landscapes, beautiful waterfalls and rivers, breathtaking wildlife, and geothermal activity all come together to make Yellowstone an amazing place. People come from all over the world to witness the beauty of Yellowstone. It is a regulated national park for a reason, it is so amazing, so beautiful, so spectacular to not preserve it. It hosts bison, elk, deer, bald eagles, bears, moose, beavers, and amazing trout rivers, everything a perfect mountain ecosystem should hold. However now there is something else, something that is natural, was removed but has now returned, flourishing and benefiting its surroundings. Wolves, have been reintroduced into Yellowstone and have greatly benefited the area. These wolves have started a positive and beneficial renewal in the park. The reintroduction of wolves into Yellowstone National Park is beneficial because they created and natural and beneficial trophic cascade, other animals in the park benefited from the wolves, and because the land was able to regrow and flourish due to the wolves presence. Since the reintroduction of wolves into Yellowstone they have created an astounding and advantageous trophic cascade. A trophic cascade is an ecological phenomenon triggered by the addition or removal of top predators and involving reciprocal changes in the relative populations of predator and prey through a food chain. These often result in dramatic changes in ecosystem structure and nutrient cycling. In a three level food chain, an increase (or decrease) in carnivores causes a decrease (or increase) in herbivores and an increase (or decrease) in primary producers such as plants and phytoplankton according to briticanna (how to make better). The entire ecosystem was able to become whole again because the wolves, a key species, were reintroduced. Now this may seem weird, a predator comes into the area a begins to kill animals, how can this be beneficial in any way? Well the fact of the matter is that it is extremely beneficial. The reason being the problem in Yellowstone was the overpopulation of the elk. These elk had no predators, they were free to roam and reproduce, and they did this very well. Now elk are also a ... One of the most prevalent nutrition problems among young children in the United States is iron deficiency anemia.1 Anemia is defined as a reduction below normal in the number of red blood cells per cubic millimeter in the quantity of hemoglobin, or in the volume of packed red blood cells per 100 milliliters of blood.1 This reduction occurs when the balance between blood loss and blood production is disturbed.1 Iron deficiency can be defined as absent bone marrow iron stores, an increase in hemoglobin concentration of less than 1.0 g/dL after treatment with iron, or other abnormal values.1 Iron deficiency is found to be more common among low income children and among African American and Mexican American children.1 The consequences of iron deficiency anemia include poor cognitive and motor development. The purpose of this paper is to present four research studies all focusing on the occurrence of iron deficiency anemia in newborns in developing countries. The first study will focus on the behavior of infants with iron deficiency anemia2 in Costa Rica. The following study will exhibit anemia in pregnancy3 and the impact on weight and in the development of anemia in the newborn3 in Brazil. But in reality most of the themes we ve done are based off of movies and TV. At the moment it feels like we focus on videogames because we just released the 8 bit themes album. That particular album was a perk that we offered our supporters during a crowdfund campaign that we wrapped up in January. But going forward, it will be a healthy mix of all kinds of music. Sonya: So far we have released two albums. The first one was a compilation of various arrangements of Film/TV scores like Doctor Who and Ghost Waltz (main title of Stepford Wives), Anime scores like Akira, classical pieces like Montagues and Capulets from Romeo and Juliet by Sergey Prokofiev, popular songs like Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen and video games like Street Fighter and Tetris. DIscrimination Toward Gary and Esperanza Many Chicana men and women were unprivileged, being forced to live life facing challenges with no escape because of their race. They searched for a never ending way out. In the books, Living Up The Street, By Gary Soto, and The House On Mango Street, By Sandra Cisneros, both authors relate to their life as a Latina/Latino incorporating their emotions and some past experiences from their childhood. Both books follow the characters throughout their lives, but more so in Living up the Street, By Gary Soto. This shows through the development of the characters throughout the chapters/vignettes. Cisneros, the author of The House On Mango Street, and Soto, the author of Living up the street both show discrimination. They show discrimination through their poor neighborhoods, the name calling between the characters, and the jobs they were entitled to make, which led them to making a lower profit than the whites throughout their lives. In The House On Mango Street, By Sandra Cisneros, The author talks about her outdated and poor community in a Latino section of Chicago through Esperanza s character. She is forced to constantly move from broken down apartments, to tiny rundown homes. • 35. The Importance Of Freedom In The United States Since this country s inception, America has been a haven of freedom for all its citizens. Beginning with the Pilgrims, who came to this new world in an effort to escape persecution for the fundamental aspects of their cultural identity. The Pilgrims show, that these freedoms existed even before this country decided to build its country foundation upon them. The men who founded this great nation, looked back in history as they penned what is now known as the Constitution. This unprecedented union´s law code was not brought to bear based entirely upon newly created principles. Rather, they employed principles from many other historical documents, including the Magna Carta, and George Mason´s 1776 Virginia Declaration of Rights. Shortly after the foundation of the country, the requisite for an iron willed leader arose. A retired general was called to the forefront of the newly created Union. General George Washington reluctantly accepted the power of the newly created office. In truth, he created the powers afforded to the vocation now known as president, it has even been said he had to decline the title of king. The first president served this country honorably, before stepping down after the conclusion of this second term. He had declined the title of king in name, and would now also decline the role of a despot by staying in power for more than two terms. This set a long precedent of self imposed term limits for presidents to come, a precedent that would last until the modern era of the presidency with President Franklin Delano Roosevelt. This Union was tested again during the Civil War. A time when slavery divided this country greatly. When, a single issue, threatened to break the bonds of patriotism. For it was Benjamin Franklin, who, when asked what type of government the nation would now have after the valiant victory years before in the American Revolution, he said, ¨A republic, if you can keep it.¨ Though, for once in the nation s history, there was a legitimate fear that the bonds of our shared heritage could not save the republic from those that expressed an inclination to exacerbate the minimal contempts between the two factions. We need to know about the nature of our triune God if we are to worship him and enjoy him properly (Shaw 79). Often when I feel discouraged, the instinct is to blame God, the creator of everything. Sometimes I get so wrapped up in my own selfishness, that I forget all the things God has done, not just for me, but also for the world. His mercy is compassionate love for sinners who do not deserve the redemption in Christ that he offers. His grace likewise speaks of his free favor granted to sinners (Shaw 81). Simple machines, such as the wheel and axle, are mechanisms created to make difficult work much easier. The six simple machines consist of the inclined plane, screw, lever, pulley, wedge, and wheel and axle. Gears can be found in many household items today. For example, watches, bicycles, and pencil sharpeners. The most common object, in which gears are found, is the car. The car s steering wheel is a simple machine, called the wheel and axle. Gears however, are not found in the steering wheel, but are located in the engine. The gears are then controlled by the gear shift, which spins the gears around, causing the car to move or brake. Gears are circular objects that have teeth all around the outer rim, or just a wheel with teeth. When in movement, if a singular gear s teeth fit into a second gear, it will cause that second gear to rotate in the opposite direction of the first gear. This can then be continued by adding more gears, which in turn create a system of gears. A gear system can be used to function a machine, such as car s gear shift. This system is called a gear train. Whichever gear starts the gear train by rotating is called the driver. The final gear on the opposite end of the train is called the driven gear. Meshed Gears is a gear train of five or more gears. • 46. Don John Villain Essay At first glance the character Don John resembles a traditional villain. Miriam Webster defines a villain as, a cruelly malicious person who is involved in or devoted to wickedness or crime , but does this truly define the psyche of Don John? IN addition perhaps is Hero was able to this same sort of reflection, he would have realized that in her marriage she sought only to please others, and her happiness lie ...
