This would furthermore mean that the company will
have to let detonate some mechanism from the senior management and confidence in the
employees at each level with some point of control. The control structures will have to be tight
and suitably placed to make sure that internal as well as external progressions are in check.
Control systems have to be very robust so as to make sure there are no gaps which can be
operated by any person.
An additional trouble could arise in case of incorrect data entry. Data entry job is customarily
monotonous and there might be inconsiderate errors by the user who is obligatory to enter the
data. Likewise, fraud detection can be tricky in some cases of automated systems.
Consequently, it can be assumed that automated systems are desirable by the company, which
sorts AIS a very real applicable option.
A new system:
The Pressure Hydraulics Company can establish Enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
that can affect the accounting systems of an organisation. Other parameters that influence AIS

Abraham Lincoln Assassination
Early morning of April 15, 1865 the United States of America stood still. It started as a normal day
at the theatre, but soon a dramatic turn would change United States history forever.
This paper will define President Abraham Lincoln s life, the man behind the gun with a plan, and
how the United States reacted.
Abraham Lincoln was the 16th President of the United States of America, he served a single term
from 1861 to 1865, but changed history significantly. Lincoln has a remarkable story from his
humble beginnings, time in office to his tragic death that shook the nation. Abraham
Lincoln was born in a log cabin in Hardin county, Kentucky to Thomas Lincoln and Nancy
Hanks Lincoln. The Lincolns were soon forced to move from Kentucky to Perry county, Indiana
in 1817, where the family squatted on public land to scrap out a living in a crude shelter, hunting
game and farming a small pot. ( Abraham Lincoln Biography ) Thomas Lincoln would eventually
be able to purchase the land. When Abraham was just 9 years of age, his mother passed of tremetol
(milk sickness). His mother s death left young Abraham in devastation and he isolated himself from
his father. Just a year after her death, Thomas Lincoln married Sarah Bush
Johnston, Abraham quickly bonded with her and she would encourage Abraham on the importance
of reading. Neighbors would talk about how Abraham would walk for miles just to

Of Oskar s Actions In Extremely Loud And Incredibly Close

disorder? In the novel Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close by Jonathan Safran Foer, the

death of his father, Thomas Schell Jr due to the terrorist attack, 9/11, that took place on the
World Trade Center. He also has to deal with people like his mother who doesn t play a big part
of the story, being mature and trying to move on like not showing her grief to Oskar and trying
to find another husband like Ron. Throughout the story, Oskar shows signs of a mental disorder
called Post traumatic Stress Disorder or PTSD. PTSD is a mental disorder that people suffer
when they experience a traumatic life event. Oskar s traumatic effect in this case is his dad dying.
Oskar then goes through a journey throughout the book both a physical journey and a mental
journey to find answers or ways to get to know more about his father and how he died in those
towers. In ELIC Oskar is taking this journey throughout trying to find answers about his dad, but
during the whole journey he leaves clues that might conclude that he is suffering from PTSD which
might be why he acts melancholic and griefs a lot. Oskar Schell meets different characters during

This is important as it provides accountability for the company. As outlined in the AASB
framework, notes are a form of supplementary information that may include information about items
in the financial statements, risks of the entity, and any resources not disclosed in the balance sheet.
This additional information provides investors with relevant information to assess the business on
and evaluate what they can expect from an investment in the company.
In calculating the solvency of a business, a clear indication of its financial position can be
determined. Solvency describes the ability of a business s assets to cover its liabilities if they fall
due. From certain figures in the balance sheet, the current ratio can be calculated. This ratio
divides total current assets by total current liabilities. If a company is solvent, this ratio will be
greater than 1; in this case it is 3.3, which indicates that the current assets can cover the current
liabilities three times over and is therefore indicative of a financially stable company.
The majority of the debt of Billabong is tied up in unsecured borrowings. Unsecured borrowings
are when no security is taken by the lender. The bank or finance company offers you a loan if
they are confident you will be able to repay it. During the year, the secured cash advance facilities

Human Rights Speech Essay
If there is one message that echoes forth from this conference, it is that human rights are women s

Women s Rights are Humans Rights. Clinton is widely known as the democratic candidate
running in the 2016 presidential election, but previously was known for delivering her powerful
women s rights speeches all over the globe. This address was given in Beijing, the capital of China,
on September 5, 1995 at the United NationsFourth World Conference on Women. This powerful

Being invited by the secretary general of the United Nations makes her credibility appear
stronger, because it is an honor to be invited by someone of such importance to a national
organization. She also states, Tomorrow, I will attend a gathering of the United Nations
Development Fund for women, (Clinton). Again being invited by the UN. Clinton s expertise on
the topic also helps her credibility. Clinton states, Over the past 25 years, I have worked
persistently on issues relating to women, children, and families. Her providing the amount of time
she has worked with women s rights and that she has worked continuously on these issues makes
her more credible. Being a woman provides enough credibility to be able to speak on the rights of
women, but traveling to other countries and seeing how their women are treated contributes a
proper understanding of how dire the situation truly is.
A final element which makes this speech effective is the use of style. Towards the middle of
Clinton s speech, she is talking about the violation of human rights. She begins seven sentences
with It is a violation of human rights... and using this phrase provides power for her statements:
It is a violation of human rights when babies are denied food...

Essay on Abortion Policy
Abortion Policy Abortion is one of about six major issues that the public considers when voting
(Witwer). It is a complex issue that has been passionately debated for centuries. The various
methods used to carry out the procedure range from disassembling the fetus and crushing the
skull in order to suck it all out of the woman s womb to the procedure called RU 486, that gives
the woman a pill to prevent her body from giving the fetus the nutrients to stay alive. Also, some
consider certain forms of birth control, Norplant, IUD, and emergency contraceptives to be
abortions as well. Many people argue about when in the pregnancy abortions should be allowed, if

(Wlezien). Those in the pro life group are typically much less educated, poorer, conservative and
Christian. Organizations such as the NARL (National Abortion and Reproductive Rights Action
League) and Choice USA are a few of the pro choice groups (Wlezien) (Luker, pg.3). Public
opinion presents an important part when deciding a stance. Class, location, beliefs, age, and
political affiliations contribute to the difference of opinion among people. According to an
article printed in Political Behavior, authors Wlezein and Goggin suggest that public opinion on
abortion varies little through the years with a large increase in the 1980 s that resulted in the
majority of the public being in favor of abortion as it is now (Wlezien, 381). Since the decision of
Roe V. Wade in 1973, approximately 23% of adults believe abortion should be legal in all cases,
19% believe it should be illegal in all cases and a majority of 56% believe it should be legal in some
cases (Wlezien, 381). Wlezein and Goggin conducted a general social survey that indicated that
an overwhelming majority of at least 81% proved that a legal abortion should be possible if the
woman s health is seriously endangered by the pregnancy, if she became pregnant as a result of a
rape, or if there is a strong possibility of a defect in the baby (Witwer). Though this data is from

Sheep Vs Market Sheep Essay
Breeding Sheep vs. Market Sheep
Iowa is home to approximately 175,000 sheep ( Iowa Sheep Industry Association n. pag.). Our
large sheep population means that we are ranked tenth in the nation for all sheep and lambs. With
those statistics in mind, it is important to have knowledge about this part of our agricultural
industry in Iowa. Sheep are raised to either breed or sell. Breeding sheep and market sheep are
raised in similar ways, but as with most, they do vary. Breeding and market sheep have four main
independent qualities.
An obvious difference between breeding and market sheep is their anatomy. Male breeding sheep
are called rams. A ram is a male sheep that was not castrated therefore still has his testicles.

Breeding sheep are raised for reproduction. The ram and ewes are usually penned together from
September through early November. In this time frame, the hope is that each ewe will cycle and
get bred by the ram. One ram can breed multiple ewes in the same time frame. When the ewes are
bred, they have a five month gestation period. As a result of the breeding time, lambing season
ranges from February to April. Market sheep are born from breeding sheep. The owner may
have decided that they would not need another ram or ewe for the next year s sheep herd.
Market sheep are raised to be sold when they have reached their prime. Local market sheep are
frequently sold in late August. At this time, the wethers and ewes weigh anywhere from 130 to
170 pounds. Sheep are most commonly purchased by the pound. In recent years, market sheep
have sold for around one dollar and fifty cents per pound. Buyers either choose to continue feeding
the sheep for a while longer, or take it to a place to be turned into meat. Farmers raise sheep with
specific end goals in mind which determine if their are breeding or market

1970 s creating Bansafina (1972) and Hispamer (1978) to begin their roots. They went on to
expand internationally in 1987 when they acquired CC Bank in Germany. CC Bank had been in
operation since the 1950 s specializing in car financing and had 51 branches under them. Over the
years SCF would continue to enter different markets, while growing their business. Under the
leadership of Mr. Inciarte, the company focused on growth going from a small business to major
markets in Europe. By June 2008, SCF was operating in twenty countries accounting for
5% of the Groups workforce, which generated about 8% bank profits. As the company continued to
grow new personnel was brought in to give the company a fresh outlook. SCF would continue to

Asgarda Tribe
The Asgarda Women Empowering Women
Who Are They?
The Asgarda is a group an all female assembly which was led by a self professed descendant of
the Amazon warriors. As you may know, legend has it that the Amazon tribe was for women only.
Men were not allowed to join, as they were mainly the reason for the union.
The revolutionary club belongs to Katerina Tarnovsa, a preschool instructing, award winning kick
boxer who founded the organization in early the 2000s. Katerina got her muse from the tribal
customs and beliefs of the Scythian (Ukraine) Amazons. They were exclusively a tribe of strong,
bold women. To say the least, they were intimidating and ferocious.

Herbaut has spent many hours in the camp with the intent of capturing the true essence of the tribal,
braid wearing women, who were committed to the revolution.
More women started attending the camp during the summer for an intensive program of weapons
training and martial arts. If you are familiar with Bojovyi Hopak, you will find some of the
techniques which are used by the women of Asgarda.
Another leader, Jigor Kana, created the art of judo and taught groups of women to maximize
their strength and increase their awareness so that they may bring up sons who have warrior like
qualities. Katsuko Osaki was the first female in 1931 to earn a black belt in judo. Since the
conception of Asgarda, more than a thousand women have come to Katerina in hopes of
discovering the life saving techniques. This is the only program of its kind that is made
specifically for women. They are taught self defense, self worth, fitness, and health. The ideal is
that all aspects of a woman should be reviewed and not just one

Why You Should Buy An Apple Macintosh Computer Essay
Do you own a computer? What kind of computer is it? Is it a Microsoft PC, running Windows
Vista? Or is it an Apple Macintosh running Mac OS X? Using a PC can be such a hassle.
Macintosh computers are so much better and easier to use than a PC. Macs also are better for the
planet, have a longer lifespan, have more reliable hardware, are less likely to crash or get viruses,
have better security features, it s very easy to transfer all your files from a PC to a Mac, and a Mac
can be a PC if you really wanted it too. But I will explain that last one later. First, I will tell you
about how the build of the Macintoshcomputer is a big reason of the rapid growth of Macs. In 2007,

A recent study by the magazine PC Advisor, stated that a Mac owner who uses no security
software at all runs less risk of getting spyware or a virus than a person who owns a PC and
obsessively protects it. In the year 2008 there were 114,000 known viruses for PC s. But there
has never been a virus that could harm a Mac. Apple does admit they have come across some
security flaws, but within a day of the flaws discovery Apple creates a security update, and every
single Mac user gets a notification from Apple saying that there is a flaw and an update
available that can correct it. And personally, I think one of the reasons Mac is so successful is
because of their hardware. For example, lets pretend I bought a new PC. Dell made the monitor
and tower. Mircosoft made the hardware and operating system. Intel made the processor. Nvidia
made the graphics drive. And the consumer is the one putting everything together. The average
desktop PC takes 2.5 hours to put together, and you re the one who has to do it! If you do one
thing wrong you could cut your computer s life in half. The worst part is, the more pieces and
components that are in the computer, there are more places that something could go wrong. When

The Benefits Of Raising The Minimum Wage
Raising the minimum wage helps both the employees and employers. Boosting the economic
growth in America. Minimum wage helps ensure a fair wage for the low paid workers. There have
been debates on this economical topic for years, whether if it should or shouldn t be raised. In the
United States, the Minimum wageshould be raised. By doing so it brings good benefits and keeps
the economy stable.
Raising minimum wage helps improve the public health in the United States. The public health
effect is often left out whenever there is a discussion on raising the minimum wage. The public
health impacts greatly on low income Americans by raising the minimum wage. By improving the
health of many Americans, medical care cost would also change. Zhou Chen and David Meltzer
conducted a research if both the obesity rates and minimum wage are connected in a way. By
using the data from Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System also known as BRFSS, Chen and
Meltzer were able to find a connection between the two. BRFSS interviews more than 350,000
adults each year, making it the largest health survey in the world.
Through the PSID DaeHwan and J. Paul Leigh found that low wage does increase obesity and
body mass by a statistical test. Panel Study of Income Dynamics (PSID) is a long term survey of
a set of households in the United States. Around $190 billion dollars are spent on obesity each
year in medical bills. If the minimum wage raised, there would be a ten percent decrease in

Elizabeth Bennet Individualism
The society of 18th century England was incredibly rigid and defined. There was little to no
movement between classes and every person s role was clearly outlined. However, in the novel,
Pride and Prejudice, by Jane Austen, Elizabeth Bennet and Fitzwilliam Darcy do not adhere to the
typical behaviors of this society. Elizabeth is individualistic and opinionated while Darcy transcends
class barriers. While both Elizabeth and Darcy stray from the social norm, through their love story
and subsequent marriage, Austen shows that individualism should be rewarded. Elizabeth has a
unique, outspoken, and willful nature that sets her apart from other characters. She represents
individualism, bourgeois initiative, natural energy, and a challenging... Show more content on

He has a deep admiration for the social hierarchy, which is in stark contrast with Elizabeth s
individualistic nature. His 10,000 pounds a year, coupled with his pompous behavior, separate
him from others. Due to Darcy s wealth, aloofness, and disdain for those beneath him, he
incarnates social tradition, the aristocracy, stability, and respect for the past (Wilkes). Darcy
exemplifies the highest rank in the social order and because of this, exhibits an air of
superiority. While speaking to Sir William at the Lucas s party, Darcy states that he is fond of
superior society (Austen, 28). This shows that Darcy would rather not interact with people in
the lower classes, which serves as an obstacle toward his eventual engagement to Elizabeth. His
tendencies toward arrogance and self importance are not typical to people such as the Bennet s.
Darcy s contempt for the lower classes alienate him from Elizabeth. While expressing his love
for her, he says, In vain I have struggled. It will not do (Austen, 285). This suggests that Darcy did
not want to love Elizabeth because of her status. Darcy is attracted to Elizabeth because of her
unusual behavior, however, in his first proposal to her, he shows that he has tried to suppress his
feelings. Darcy knows that he loves her, yet he tried to convince himself that he does not have any
feelings towards her, because he believes that she is beneath him. This stems back to his traditional
values. Darcy knows that he has a high status and is extremely powerful, so he cannot understand
why he is experiencing feelings toward someone who is so significantly less wealthy than he is.
Darcy is disdainful toward Elizabeth s status and connections, and his temperament initially

Shaw, Arms and Heroes
The Nobel Prize winning author George Bernard Shaw was born on July 26, 1856 in Dublin,
Ireland. During his early years, Shaw and his two older siblings received their education from
their clerical uncle whom provided them with tutoring sessions. He received an irregular
education because he disliked the idea of organized training. Shaw grew to explore and
appreciate various art forms through the influence of his mother whom would take him on a
regular basis to visit the National Gallery of Ireland. During the year 1872, Shaw s mother left his
father taking his two older sisters with her to London. Shaw decided to join his family in London
four years later after deciding to pursue writing. His mother supported Shaw financially as he strove
to write his first few novels. Unfortunately, these novels met with failure. Publishers rejected them.
Therefore, Shaw turned his attention away from novel writing to focus on British academic politics
and activities. He joined the Fabian Societyduring the year 1884 and quickly became heavily
integrated within the group. The following year Shaw was able to find writing opportunities by
composing critical reviews of literature, art, music and theatre. Shaw was persuaded to join the
Saturday Review as a theatre critic in 1895. Shaw took advantage of his position and decided to
write plays in order to illustrate his criticism of the English stage . Thus, his first collection of
works Plays Pleasant and Unpleasant was published in 1898. The

##bolic Implications Of JesusExorcism In The Bible
In the synoptic gospels, Jesus exorcisms are portrayed as one of the major acts in Jesus mission
to the kingdom of God. The gospels not only narrate Jesus casting out the demons and cleansing
the possessed bodies, but also implicitly suggests the controversy he evokes among the Jewish and
Roman authorities of Judea and Galilee. The context of New Testament Gospels is deeply rooted
in the Greco Roman world and as such paints the background of the Jesus actions and messages.
Several scholarly publications that analyze biblical texts from the social science perspective have
established a relationship between the politics and religion of the ancient world.
The aim of this paper is to assess the events of demon possession and exorcism narrated in the Bible
not from a theological perspective but from sociopolitical standpoint. Drawing references from
scholarly publications on Bible, this paper would investigate the symbolic meanings of Jesus
exorcism in socio political sphere of Galilee and Judea at the very beginning of the first century.
This paper heavily relies upon the concepts proposed by Amanda Witmer in her publication Jesus,
the Galilean Exorcist, His Exorcisms in Social and Political Context.
The historically accurate reconstruction of Jesus is extremely improbable. This is largely due to the
limited quantity of resources survived and those that do, New Testament Gospels, are written under
the lens of religious followers. As such, there exists great challenge in

When one thinks about the American Civil War that waged from 1861 1864, the question at
hand begs to be asked: what could the Confederacy have done to win the war? Ideally, according
to Robert G. Tanner in his book Retreat to Victory? the idea that the south might have won the war
had it used a different strategy might be impossible to answer. That being said, Tanner argues that
amongst many theories that have developed over what the Confederacy could have done to win
the Civil War, the strategy commonly referred to as Fabian would not be a prosperous endeavor by
the Confederacy due to the southern geography, people and most importantly through the
Confederacy s generals. The ideas presented in Tanner s book deserve recognition on the basis that
the author s thesis is addressing a hypothetical supposition. However, the thesis here is
unconventional, as Tanner doesn t introduce any innovative ideas, rather Tanner asserts how other
historians bases are false. That being said, Tanner submits that something known as a Fabian
strategy cannot be attributed to how the Confederacy might have won the war because of how this
strategy exhausted popular support for the war between both common folk as well as with the
Confederate troops. In addition, Tanner supplements this by describing how the geography of the
south shows how a plan such as this would have left little hope that the Confederacy would have
succeeded in dragging the war onward to the point of near desperation by the

Life Is A Hard Journey
Ayahuasca, a Quechuan word meaning vine of the souls, or spirits or vine of the dead, has been
used in sacrament for over two millennia. There exists a retreat that can provide a new experience
and deeper healing to those in need. People have attempted several different techniques, but nothing
has given them the healingthat they truly are desperate for. Life is a hard journey and at times
people feel as they have climbed mountains only to be pushed off the other side. Getting up can be
hard, but there are so many helpful resources to fit the many types of healing needs. In today s
society, doctors often prescribe handfuls of medication to help in the healing process, yet for some
this attempt at numbing the pain just doesn t work. Others look to a higher power for answers, and
others start a pattern of self medication that can quickly spiral out of control, therefore making
things much worse. Deep in the mountains of Peru, shamans perform ceremonies for those who
have tried, without relief, to heal their pain. The ceremonies involve drinking a mixture of the rare
ayahuascavine, and other plants found in Peru that contain DMT, such as the chacruna or guambisa.
Ayahuasca is known widely for its healing abilities of the mind, body, and soul. Those that plan to
abuse this drug like other psychoactive substances, should not attend an ayahuasca retreat. The
ceremonies can be far from beautiful, and may surface past traumas. As well, they may cause
physical effects that subside

Corrupt The Youth Of Athens
Men of Athens, you accuse me of corrupting the youth of Athens, but I must combat this
accusation. The fact that this trial is being held is preposterous and honestly a waste of time and
focus for Athens. Before you can accuse me of corrupting the the youth, you must first ask yourself
who really positively influences the youth in society? It certainly cannot be the laws because the
laws are not a person rather a thing...correct? So It must be all the councilors and members of the
assembly that improve the youth. If all of these men here today have an influence on the youth,
then it is rather absurd to assume that I alone am the sole corrupter. So now you associate me with
being apart of this gang of corrupters destroying the future of Athens with my philosophical
teachings.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If you take any property of an object and separate it from the physical object, considering it by
itself, then you are contemplating a form. For example, if you separate the squareness of a dice
from its color, and its weight, etc. Now consider just squareness by itself, you are thinking of the
form of squareness. This property exists apart from the dice, in a different mode of existence than
the dice. The form is not just the idea of squareness you have in your mind. It exists independently
of the dice and independently of whether someone thinks of it. All square objects, not just this
dice, participate or copy this same form of squareness. What if we took something harder to
explain such as beauty? We usually associate beauty with people s bodies. So to truly understand
beauty you have to appreciate all beautiful bodies. After that you have to see the beauty in not just
the body, but more importantly the mind. The result of this is you will see beauty in practices and
laws, and that every type beauty is related. Now that you understand this relation to beauty, you
must intertwine it with the forms of knowledge. now you understand beauty in

Department Business Targets Into Our Daily Routines
department business targets into our daily routines. Using the MBO methodology of collaborative
planning GTPLS Gippsland operation has developed an activity based strategic plan that focuses
on our efforts towards the delivery of specific outcomes. These outcomes will in turn, lead to the
achievement of our goals and reaching the company s vision.
The success of this plan / strategy relies on a commitment to implementation and regular monitoring
of our progress no matter what we strive to achieve with the business planning process it will
become an exercise in theory unless there are mechanisms by which progress towards our stated
outcomes are reviewed and measured. To that end, the introduction of performance measurement is
the key to this plan and The Company s financial management (including contracted accountant)
will be responsible for collation of data and monitoring of business plan activities for presentation at
proposed monthly management meeting s with the key performance information being formally
reported to management and GTPLS staff at that time.
While dedicated planning is essential, rigid adherence to a faulty plan will lead to poor
performance or failure. A key aspect of successful planning is ongoing evaluation and flexibility,
and it is intended that this plan will be reviewed on a regular basis. This will ensure that all key
business targets and activities remain appropriate mechanisms for achieving both company s sales
targets and strategic goals.

Of all the aspects of MTI, innovation strategy is the most challenging. Firms can be very good at

A firm that identifies innovation as a strategic activity is more likely to attract creative
workers in search of exciting opportunities in the war over talent
A shareholder theory of firm and a stakeholder theory of firm may differ in their respective
evaluation method of firm performance. Both theories however recognize the importance of value
creation as the economic role of firms as institutions. The New Institutional Economics (NIE)
emphasizes incentives alignment, while also viewing stakeholder engagements as methods to
expand the boundaries of firms. The difference in performance evaluation between the two
approaches can be reduced if stakeholders, while formulating incentive alignment, also evaluate the
mechanisms of establishing a common currency value. The concomitant development of
stakeholder engagement, incentive alignment, and value currency creation is argued to be an
evolutionary process with the efficiency implications of the two theories tending to converge.

The Curriculum For The Class
Perhaps when writing the curriculum for the class you could consider some of these ideas, it is
important to reach out to each of the students and make them feel comfortable and want to take
interest in what they are learning. According to Interest Theory it is important for students to find
value in what they are learning. Some examples of this include; when a student is able to apply
what they have learned to everyday occurrences, being able to gain gratification from
achievements, and even feel the recognition of a practiced skill as useful. Attribution Theory
implies that as a teacher it is important to create an environment where many different cultures
and viewpoints are valid and offered. Calvin makes a point by saying that sometimes his ideas are
too big so that no one cares. So if you encourage this out of the box thinking and give Calvin
opportunities to show he knows what he is talking about Calvin will take more interest in what he
is learning. Tying in Self Determination Theory into the curriculum. Calvin would then be
intrinsically motivated when you give him the opportunity to test his knowledge with a topic that
interests him. As the teacher, you can offer a variety of tasks, which will make it difficult for him
to attribute his failure to one specific type of lesson plan or lecture. Which ties into Goal Theory,
and suggesting letting students have some control in the class. For instance; letting the students
have a choice of what they can read. If you

A Treatment Option For Multiple Sclerosis
Alemtuzumab as a treatment option for multiple sclerosis: A Critical Review
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic disabling disease that affects about 1.1 million people
worldwide, majority of who form part of the western population (Wilkinson and Lennox, 2005;
Zabriske, 2009). MS mainly results from autoimmunity and is characterized by progressive damage
to the central nervous system (CNS) leading to poor motor coordination in the limbs as well as
vision abnormalities (Karp, 2013; Adamczyk Adamczyk Sowa, 2016). MS establishes itself through
a dysfunctional immune system, which causes immune cells (ICs) to attack the myelin sheath, a
process termed as demyelination. The myelin sheath forms an insulating layer around the axons of
nerve cells and facilitates the conduction of nerve impulses. Hence, the deterioration of myelin as a
result of autoimmune attack, disrupts signal conduction along the axons; this progressively
establishes the symptoms of MS (Saladin 2008; Karp 2013).
MS is established in two phases: a primary inflammatory response phase, which leads to the
accumulation of ICs in the brain followed by demyelination, which results in neuronal
degeneration. The inflammatory phase is triggered by an unknown factor, possibly the presence of
antigens from an infection in the brain, which activates T lymphocyte cells that are auto reactive for
brain antigens (Murphy, 2016). The blood brain barrier then becomes permeable allowing the entry
of the activated T cells that

different places. I want to be very successful in life and to be able to do whatever I can for my

good job that can always financially support me, even if there is a downfall in the economy. I

The Role Of Ghouls And Their Effects On Society
Humans use to think they the top of the food chains, but they really weren t and never were.. It just

off human flesh. You would think people would run and hide but they didn t. Why? Because the
ghouls lived among them. The ghouls looked like ordinary humans beings, you could tell no
difference at all until late at night in a dark alley..But some ghouls even trained themselves to be
able to eat it to a certain point without messing up their digestive system. The only people who
know how to recognize ghouls were the ghoulthemselves. My name Tohru Sohma, I am17 years
old, a freshman in college, no parents, and no tolerable family. And guess what? I m a ghoul.
Let me tell you, being a ghoul sucks. I don t embrace it at all, unlike some. And I am sure you re

ghouls, would stick together and helping each other out, but no! I mean, there are certain Wards

Journal on The Manufacture of Consent
In Noam Chomsky s film I have learned quite a few things about life in a
democratic society. This film has made think in a three dimensional way for whom is
really right, Noam Chomsky or those who he calls quot;Elites quot;. I have come to the
conclusion that Noam Chomsky is right, for his claim is very convincing which is
that the media is controlled by the elites who determine what the public should
know. How exactly does Chomsky prove all this to make sense? Well, he
explained that the governments, corporations and the other elites manufacture the
consent of the public to serve their own interests.

Another thing I would like to talk about is that Noam Chomsky is a type of
person who wont let nothing get in his way, for example: It was said that he risked
his career and life for the sake of other people. This is one of the reasons why I
would respect him. He could have put his whole family down the drain, but
somehow he came out on top. I could tell he was a man who is not only itelligent,
but also a man of great courage and caring for those in need, like those of East
Timur. If it wasnt for him, I would bet that more than half the class would of
never heard about what was going on in East Timur. The reason why I believe he
made film was that he wanted to help the people of East Timur or else he wouldn t
have put it on the film. He wanted the viewers to see the tragedy of East Timur,
for he believed that the only way to work out problems was from the outside and
this I think, he meant us the viewers to spread the word for we are a democratic
society and we control the government and not the government control us.

Ukraine especially at Kyiv s Independence Square. There is civil unrest against Yanukovych
because he did not do what the people wanted to have. After everything is starting to cool down,
Russian troops start to enter the country. The crisis was getting so far out of hand that the US and

After the rallies that Ukraine had were finished, back in Kiev s Independence Maiden Square,
coffins were displayed in front of huge crowds, so people can see all the people that have been

that he taught suffering, its origin, cessation and path. The four noble truths contain the basis of
Buddha s ideas which he attained while meditating under a bodhi tree, which would later become a
Buddhist symbol. While Buddhismis not practiced by many, its affect in the world can be seen in

The poor man surprisingly walked around peacefully, and this gave the first Buddha the idea of
roaming around, abstaining from indulgences, and trying to discover a cure all to end pain and
misery. (Chaney, 3.) To continue, the Buddha said in his teaching that life is dukkha
, the exact
translation of the word to English is unknown, but most believe it is suffering. However, even
things such as happiness and success eventually become dukkha. According to Buddha, life is
impermanent and is constantly changing. Buddha Gotama said to his disciples, Impermanent,
subject to change, are component things. Strive on with heedfulness (Thera, 6). This simply means
that life and anything in the world is constantly changing. For example, you could win an award for
being an outstanding athlete, but the happiness that brings is only short term. Life is dukkha and
the happiness it brings will quickly subside. Buddha wanted his followers to realize the
impermanence of life, and the dynamic changes that happen on a daily basis. This learning
experience would provide a key into understanding what suffering is, and why every human shares
the same common theme of suffering. As humans, we continually push ourselves to reach goals
that we set for ourselves. However, the Buddha believes that this thirst for success only disappoints
us because we are constantly trying to push barriers that we sometimes cannot physically

The Geology Of Ontario Through Its Rocks
Minerals are what make up Rocks and rocks are what make up the geology of an area. In this
report, we will focus on the geology of Ontario through its rocks. We will look at ten difference
rocks samples that have been collected from several different places here in Windsor Ontario
including the beach, the river, gravel pits, along highways and roadways as well in parks and
campsites. The rocks that were collected are all rocks that have formed right here in Ontario.
Canada and especially Ontario have very interesting and much filled geologic pasts. Ontario has
many types of rocks and minerals that have formed and are still forming due to the geology.
Ontario has sedimentary rocks; igneous rock, and metamorphic rock as well as minerals such as
gold, silver, quartz, and many more. In this paper, we will begin by talking about ten rocks that
were collected right here in Windsor Ontario. The rocks were examined from the outside which
tended to be weathered and the inside which were fresh.
Description of rock types:
The collection of the rocks was based on just picking up the most amount of difference looking
rocks that was possible and bringing them home to analyze. This was done for about two months
from many difference locations including campgrounds, beaches, rivers, highways as well as
construction sites. After about two months there were many rocks so I started to analyze and take
out the rocks that were of the same kind. I found many granite, basalt and conglomerate rocks.

Overview of Neuroimagery Essay
Neuroimagery is a clinical speciality that produces images of the brain by using non invasive
techniques, i.e.: without requiring surgery, incision of the skin, or any direct contact with the inside

the brainand aids the diagnosis of diseases (e.g. brain tumours) and Functional; this is used for
neurological and cognitive research purposes, along with the diagnosis of metabolic diseases (e.g.

The fMRI scan has played a major role in this type of research and it is on such that this essay will
be based.
Functional magnetic resonance imagery (fMRI) uses MRI technology to measure brain activity
by detecting relevant changes in blood flow. The process can also give us information on the
structure and function of the brain, unlike other processes which can only provide us with one
of these two. fMRI scanning relies on cerebral blood flow (CBF blood supply to the brain at a
given time) and neuronal activation are coupled meaning that when an area of the brain is in
use, the blood flow in that region increases. fMRI scans take pictures of the brain every few
seconds over a period of several minutes to help researchers determine results of a scan. While
fMRI scans cannot detect absolute activity of brain regions, it can detect differences between
different conditions. Therefore, a patient will be asked to perform tasks or will be stimulated to
trigger processes or emotions during their scan.
The primary form of an fMRI scan uses Blood Oxygen Level dependent (BOLD) contrast. This was
discovered by Seiji Ogawa in the 1990 s. This, according to Ogawa, is a very simple theory. He
claimed that Neurons do not have internal reserves of energy in the form of glucose and oxygen,
so their release causes a need for more energy to be brought in quickly. Blood then releases oxygen
to them (this process is known as the

The Black And Scholes Model
Statement 2: The Black and Scholes model is an ideal method to value Options
The Black Scholes Merton (BSM) model is the best known model for valuing options as it is the
original of many option pricing models today (Haug and Taleb, 2009; Le, 2015). Developed in
1973 by Fisher Black, Myron Scholes and Robert Merton, the BSM model is still widely used
today as the benchmark for many models and techniques that financial analysts use to analyse and
determine the fair prices of given options (Jumarie, 2010). It is widely used due to its simplicity
however there are many criticisms regarding the assumptions made by the model (Bharath and
Sumway, 2008; Haug and Taleb, 2009; Le, 2015)
The BSM model is used to determine fair prices of European options only following a formula (as
shown below) with the first basic assumption that the underlying commodity, stock, or option pay
zero dividend to its shareholders group being purchased during the option life (CFA, 2015).
In order to set the option pricing model, other basic assumptions have been used such as the market
is efficient and frictionless which means that people cannot predict with consistency the direction
of stocks in the financial market; no tax or transaction costs occur and there are no legal
restrictions on trading in the options and in the underlying asset, or on short selling the asset (Data
and Mathews, 2004; Jiang, 2005). The BSM model also assumes that the market is arbitrage free

This helps minimize negative impact to the surface/ground water reservoirs in two different ways.
One, this reduces the risk of algal blooms in the surface waters. Algal blooms occur due to the
excess amount of nutrients in the water, causing eutrophication. Eutrophication causes huge plant
and algae growth because of the increased amount of nutrients. Then the plants and algae die and
bacteria causes the plants/algae to decompose, using up dissolved oxygen. This results in a lack of
oxygen, hypoxia and anoxia, in the water. Therefore, many organisms such as the fish die due to
the lack of dissolved oxygen in the water.
Two, this increases the potential of infiltration. Water flows from impermeable areas like buildings
to the settling pond where it can infiltrate into the ground. Rip rap is the surface cover of the water
retention pond. Rip rap creates channels for water to flow through, giving its high infiltration rate.
Even though most of the water would be drained by the drainage pipes, some would be infiltrated
into the soil.
Another water control feature is having a vegetative surface cover on the hillsides of the venue. As
seen in Figure 2, grass, a vegetative cover, covers the southern hill and trees cover the northern hill.
The vegetation stabilizes the soil, preventing erosion and gulleys. The vegetative surface cover on
the hillsides also increases the potential for infiltration. Grass has a high infiltration rate because the

Freud s theory of Psychosexual Development, Erickson believed that a person s social
experiences cause a great impact on their sense of identity throughout their entire lifespan in
eight different stages of development, as opposed to the five stages Freud assumed ended when
a person reaches early adulthood (Cherry. 2016). Erickson theorized that a person s ability to
successfully complete a stage of development, regardless of their developmental challenges,
directly affected the outcome of a healthy or unhealthy personality and sense of self. In his
attempt to exceed further in understanding how a person s social environment affects their
personality and identity, Erikson s findings became great contributions to the study of
psychology. On June 15, 1902, Erikson was born in Frankfurt, Germany, to Karla Abrahamsen, a
Jewish stockbroker, as Erik Salomonsen at birth (GoodTherapy. 2007 16). His mother married his
pediatrician, Theodor Homberger, in 1905, when Erickson was about three years old (The Famous
People. 2007). His last name was changed to Homberger, when his step father officially adopted

Essay On Neuropathic Pain
Introduction
It is estimated that some 28 million people in the UK suffer from some form of chronic pain
ranging from lower back pain to osteoarthritis and as such this accounts for 45 million days of work
lost each year, the cost of chronic back pain to the NHS alone is ВЈ5 billion a year. This poses both
massive social and economic concerns and creates the question: why hasn t anything been done to
counteract this?
However, when one looks further into the matter, the desire to answer such a question is certainly
present. As a 9 5 society we have a certain inclination to fix any problem that may impede this
work ethic and yet despite the large sums of money that the NHS spends each year, two treatment
options seem to spell the end to the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Visceral pain is pain caused by visceral nociceptors which are present in deeper structures such as
organs and internal cavities. Nociceptors in these areas are more scarce and highly sensitive to
distension, ischemia and inflammation but insensitive to other stimuli such as cuts or burns. Thus,
the pain produced in these areas is usually that of aching or cramping and will last for a greater
period than that of somatic pain.
Neuropathic Pain
Neuropathic pain is a type of pain caused by a problem with one or more of the nerves themselves.
This causes them to falsely send electrical signals and stimulate pain that may not be there.
Symptoms of which can be excruciating pain, pins and needles and numbness, which can cause the
patient to become extremely sensitive to even slight pressures in the affected area.
This may be caused by nerve pressure or damage, after surgery or trauma, viral infections, cancer,
vascular malformations, alcoholism, neurological conditions such as multiple sclerosis and
metabolic conditions such as diabetes. Sometimes, there is no identifiable cause for the pain
experienced and this can be very distressing for the patient in question.

General Fink Case Study
The wall clock time approached 2AM, as General Fink s sleep deprived three staff members were
finishing the touches on his report. They knew that their four star General would be reviewing it at
zero seven hundred. So, hours begun to matter. General Fink s commander, the General of the
Army, along with his six counterparts would soon be scrutinizing the Hawkeye report at zero nine
hundred. Which left no room for discrepancies. Amid the affluent D.C. residences of Prospect
Heights, there was a subterranean control center located under the General s unassuming two story
brownstone. This windowless basement hid its operational aspect of intelligence gathering around
the clock. Hawkeye was a code name known to a select few. One computer monitor... Show more

After 9/11, Montgomery entered the Marine Corp after graduating high school, where he served
three tours of duty. During what would be his final tour, Montgomery s unit endured a fifty four
hour gun battle in the city of Fallujah. Having survived, it forever changed Michael s outlook.
However, there was one more event that would make religion the forefront of his life.
Consequently, Montgomery s transformation into the world of evangelical religion did not occur
until the age of twenty six. Upon his return to Houston, Mike resurfaced at BodyCrunch Gym,
once again as a personal trainer. After a few months, Michael became the sole survivor of a car
crash, which had taken the lives of three steroid junkie buddies. Next, the Marine metamorphosed
into a Minister. Eventually Rice University relented to having Minister Mike give a homily at their
Interfaith Hall one Friday evening. That s when the unsuspecting Minister met a two year younger,
Giselle Befort, among his meager audience. Montgomery asked Ms Befort if she would join him
over coffee. It lasted until the Store s closing. Reluctantly, Mike shared his vision of his

During the age of exploration there were many highly important inventions being made and also
being used. One of the inventions from this time period is the astrolabe. The astrolabe is an ancient
astronomical computer that was used mainly by navigators to solve problems in relation to not only
time, but also problems relating to the position of the sunand the stars ( Morrison ). Astrolabes were
historically used by astronomers, astrologers, and navigators. Astrolabes had many amazing uses
like finding the time of day or time of night, finding the time of a celestial event like a sunrise or

During this time period many things were invented like the astrolabe, sextant, and caravel. The
caravel was invented by the portuguese, was much less heavy so it could travel up rivers, was
quicker for the longer journeys, and had a triangular sail instead of a rectangular sail. The
astrolabe was an instrument that, in its earlier time, was used for astronomy and astrology but
ended up mainly being used as a tool of navigation and to solve problems involving trigonometry,
problems relating to time, and the position of the sun and stars. The astrolabe was invented by
Hipparchus who lived from 190 BC 120 BC and also made major contributions to trigonometry.
Trigonometry is a type of math that involves the relations between a triangle s angles and sides.
The sextant, which superseded the astrolabe, is a tool that measures the angle between two objects
in order to find a person s location in the world. As you can see each invention during this very
important time period is very important and each made their own major contribution to the world

This additional information provides investors with relevant information to assess the business on and evaluate what they can expect from an investment in the company. In calculating the solvency of a business, a clear indication of its financial position can be determined. Solvency describes the ability of a business s assets to cover its liabilities if they fall due. From certain figures in the balance sheet, the current ratio can be calculated. This ratio divides total current assets by total current liabilities. If a company is solvent, this ratio will be greater than 1; in this case it is 3.3, which indicates that the current assets can cover the current liabilities three times over and is therefore indicative of a financially stable company. It is a complex issue that has been passionately debated for centuries. The various methods used to carry out the procedure range from disassembling the fetus and crushing the skull in order to suck it all out of the woman s womb to the procedure called RU 486, that gives the woman a pill to prevent her body from giving the fetus the nutrients to stay alive. Public opinion presents an important part when deciding a stance. Class, location, beliefs, age, and political affiliations contribute to the difference of opinion among people. According to an article printed in Political Behavior, authors Wlezein and Goggin suggest that public opinion on abortion varies little through the years with a large increase in the 1980 s that resulted in the majority of the public being in favor of abortion as it is now (Wlezien, 381). Since the decision of Roe V. Wade in 1973, approximately 23% of adults believe abortion should be legal in all cases, 19% believe it should be illegal in all cases and a majority of 56% believe it should be legal in some cases (Wlezien, 381). Wlezein and Goggin conducted a general social survey that indicated that an overwhelming majority of at least 81% proved that a legal abortion should be possible if the woman s health is seriously endangered by the pregnancy, if she became pregnant as a result of a rape, or if there is a strong possibility of a defect in the baby (Witwer). There was little to no movement between classes and every person s role was clearly outlined. Elizabeth is individualistic and opinionated while Darcy transcends class barriers. Darcy exemplifies the highest rank in the social order and because of this, exhibits an air of superiority. While speaking to Sir William at the Lucas s party, Darcy states that he is fond of superior society (Austen, 28). This shows that Darcy would rather not interact with people in the lower classes, which serves as an obstacle toward his eventual engagement to Elizabeth. His tendencies toward arrogance and self importance are not typical to people such as the Bennet s. Darcy s contempt for the lower classes alienate him from Elizabeth. While expressing his love for her, he says, In vain I have struggled. It will not do (Austen, 285). This suggests that Darcy did not want to love Elizabeth because of her status. Darcy is attracted to Elizabeth because of her unusual behavior, however, in his first proposal to her, he shows that he has tried to suppress his feelings. Darcy knows that he loves her, yet he tried to convince himself that he does not have any feelings towards her, because he believes that she is beneath him. This stems back to his traditional values. He received an irregular education because he disliked the idea of organized training. Shaw grew to explore and appreciate various art forms through the influence of his mother whom would take him on a regular basis to visit the National Gallery of Ireland. During the year 1872, Shaw s mother left his father taking his two older sisters with her to London. Shaw decided to join his family in London four years later after deciding to pursue writing. His mother supported Shaw financially as he strove to write his first few novels. Unfortunately, these novels met with failure. Publishers rejected them. • 22. The American Civil War By Robert G. Tanner When one thinks about the American Civil War that waged from 1861 1864, the question at hand begs to be asked: what could the Confederacy have done to win the war? Ideally, according to Robert G. Tanner in his book Retreat to Victory? the idea that the south might have won the war had it used a different strategy might be impossible to answer. That being said, Tanner argues that amongst many theories that have developed over what the Confederacy could have done to win the Civil War, the strategy commonly referred to as Fabian would not be a prosperous endeavor by the Confederacy due to the southern geography, people and most importantly through the Confederacy s generals. The ideas presented in Tanner s book deserve recognition on the basis that the author s thesis is addressing a hypothetical supposition. However, the thesis here is unconventional, as Tanner doesn t introduce any innovative ideas, rather Tanner asserts how other historians bases are false. That being said, Tanner submits that something known as a Fabian strategy cannot be attributed to how the Confederacy might have won the war because of how this strategy exhausted popular support for the war between both common folk as well as with the Confederate troops. In addition, Tanner supplements this by describing how the geography of the south shows how a plan such as this would have left little hope that the Confederacy would have succeeded in dragging the war onward to the point of near desperation by the ... Life is a hard journey and at times people feel as they have climbed mountains only to be pushed off the other side. Getting up can be hard, but there are so many helpful resources to fit the many types of healing needs. In today s society, doctors often prescribe handfuls of medication to help in the healing process, yet for some this attempt at numbing the pain just doesn t work. Others look to a higher power for answers, and others start a pattern of self medication that can quickly spiral out of control, therefore making things much worse. Deep in the mountains of Peru, shamans perform ceremonies for those who have tried, without relief, to heal their pain. Some examples of this include; when a student is able to apply what they have learned to everyday occurrences, being able to gain gratification from achievements, and even feel the recognition of a practiced skill as useful. So if you encourage this out of the box thinking and give Calvin opportunities to show he knows what he is talking about Calvin will take more interest in what he is learning. Tying in Self Determination Theory into the curriculum. Calvin would then be intrinsically motivated when you give him the opportunity to test his knowledge with a topic that interests him. As the teacher, you can offer a variety of tasks, which will make it difficult for him to attribute his failure to one specific type of lesson plan or lecture. • 30. A Treatment Option For Multiple Sclerosis Alemtuzumab as a treatment option for multiple sclerosis: A Critical Review Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic disabling disease that affects about 1.1 million people worldwide, majority of who form part of the western population (Wilkinson and Lennox, 2005; Zabriske, 2009). MS mainly results from autoimmunity and is characterized by progressive damage to the central nervous system (CNS) leading to poor motor coordination in the limbs as well as vision abnormalities (Karp, 2013; Adamczyk Adamczyk Sowa, 2016). MS establishes itself through a dysfunctional immune system, which causes immune cells (ICs) to attack the myelin sheath, a process termed as demyelination. The myelin sheath forms an insulating layer around the axons of nerve cells and facilitates the conduction of nerve impulses. Hence, the deterioration of myelin as a result of autoimmune attack, disrupts signal conduction along the axons; this progressively establishes the symptoms of MS (Saladin 2008; Karp 2013). MS is established in two phases: a primary inflammatory response phase, which leads to the accumulation of ICs in the brain followed by demyelination, which results in neuronal degeneration. The inflammatory phase is triggered by an unknown factor, possibly the presence of antigens from an infection in the brain, which activates T lymphocyte cells that are auto reactive for brain antigens (Murphy, 2016). The blood brain barrier then becomes permeable allowing the entry of the activated T cells that ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

However, even things such as happiness and success eventually become dukkha. According to Buddha, life is impermanent and is constantly changing. Buddha Gotama said to his disciples, Impermanent, subject to change, are component things. Strive on with heedfulness (Thera, 6). This simply means that life and anything in the world is constantly changing. For example, you could win an award for being an outstanding athlete, but the happiness that brings is only short term. Life is dukkha and the happiness it brings will quickly subside. Buddha wanted his followers to realize the impermanence of life, and the dynamic changes that happen on a daily basis. The fMRI scan has played a major role in this type of research and it is on such that this essay will be based. Functional magnetic resonance imagery (fMRI) uses MRI technology to measure brain activity by detecting relevant changes in blood flow. The process can also give us information on the structure and function of the brain, unlike other processes which can only provide us with one of these two. fMRI scanning relies on cerebral blood flow (CBF blood supply to the brain at a given time) and neuronal activation are coupled meaning that when an area of the brain is in use, the blood flow in that region increases. fMRI scans take pictures of the brain every few seconds over a period of several minutes to help researchers determine results of a scan. While fMRI scans cannot detect absolute activity of brain regions, it can detect differences between different conditions. Therefore, a patient will be asked to perform tasks or will be stimulated to trigger processes or emotions during their scan. The primary form of an fMRI scan uses Blood Oxygen Level dependent (BOLD) contrast. This was discovered by Seiji Ogawa in the 1990 s. This, according to Ogawa, is a very simple theory. The Black And Scholes Model Statement 2: The Black and Scholes model is an ideal method to value Options The Black Scholes Merton (BSM) model is the best known model for valuing options as it is the original of many option pricing models today (Haug and Taleb, 2009; Le, 2015). Developed in 1973 by Fisher Black, Myron Scholes and Robert Merton, the BSM model is still widely used today as the benchmark for many models and techniques that financial analysts use to analyse and determine the fair prices of given options (Jumarie, 2010). It is widely used due to its simplicity however there are many criticisms regarding the assumptions made by the model (Bharath and Sumway, 2008; Haug and Taleb, 2009; Le, 2015) The BSM model is used to determine fair prices of European options only following a formula (as shown below) with the first basic assumption that the underlying commodity, stock, or option pay zero dividend to its shareholders group being purchased during the option life (CFA, 2015). In order to set the option pricing model, other basic assumptions have been used such as the market is efficient and frictionless which means that people cannot predict with consistency the direction of stocks in the financial market; no tax or transaction costs occur and there are no legal restrictions on trading in the options and in the underlying asset, or on short selling the asset (Data and Mathews, 2004; Jiang, 2005). Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This helps minimize negative impact to the surface/ground water reservoirs in two different ways. One, this reduces the risk of algal blooms in the surface waters. Algal blooms occur due to the excess amount of nutrients in the water, causing eutrophication. Eutrophication causes huge plant and algae growth because of the increased amount of nutrients. Then the plants and algae die and bacteria causes the plants/algae to decompose, using up dissolved oxygen. This results in a lack of oxygen, hypoxia and anoxia, in the water. Therefore, many organisms such as the fish die due to the lack of dissolved oxygen in the water. Two, this increases the potential of infiltration. Water flows from impermeable areas like buildings to the settling pond where it can infiltrate into the ground. Rip rap is the surface cover of the water retention pond. Rip rap creates channels for water to flow through, giving its high infiltration rate. Even though most of the water would be drained by the drainage pipes, some would be infiltrated into the soil. Another water control feature is having a vegetative surface cover on the hillsides of the venue. As seen in Figure 2, grass, a vegetative cover, covers the southern hill and trees cover the northern hill. The vegetation stabilizes the soil, preventing erosion and gulleys. The vegetative surface cover on the hillsides also increases the potential for infiltration. Grass has a high infiltration rate because the roots and the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Erikson s Theory Of Psychosocial Development Essay Growing up experiencing his own identity crisis and misfortunes during his childhood, Erik Homberger Erikson, a well known psychologist, used this as an inspiration to further one s understanding of a healthy personality and sense of self. This gave rise to his successful establishment of the theory of Psychosocial Development. Although derived from Sigmund Freud s theory of Psychosexual Development, Erickson believed that a person s social experiences cause a great impact on their sense of identity throughout their entire lifespan in eight different stages of development, as opposed to the five stages Freud assumed ended when a person reaches early adulthood (Cherry. 2016).
