Energy exists in many forms, including kinetic energy from moving objects and potential energy stored in stationary objects. Solar energy harnessed through technologies like solar panels, which are sets of electrically connected solar cells that convert sunlight into electricity. Wind power also generates electricity through wind turbines that convert the kinetic energy of wind into electrical power. Geothermal energy taps into the thermal energy generated and stored within the Earth from its formation and radioactive decay within minerals. Chemical energy powers reactions that either absorb or release energy by breaking and forming chemical bonds.
