Kerala – Inbound formalities
• Either a tax invoice/ delivery note or certificate of ownership
• Officer in charge of the check post should come and examine goods
& records
• Permit for notified goods shall be in form no. 7C
• The permit shall be issued in case of incoming goods by
commercial tax officer or commercial tax inspector

EXPORTING FORMALITIES :
• Should obtain BIN(Business Identification Number) from DGFT
• Open current account with designated bank for credit of
duty drawback claims
• Register Licenses
• Shipping Bill has to be obtained from the export department
• Yellow color in the case of dutiable goods
• The shipping should have the following details :
• Name of exporter
• Consignee
• Invoice number
• Details of packing
• Description of goods
• Quantity & F.O.B. value has to be quoted.

• Relevant documents copies of packing list, Invoices, export
contract, letter of credit has to be submitted.
• Customs Authority gives serial number to shipping bill when it
is presented.
• Other documents:
• 4 copies of commercial invoice
• 4 copies of packing list
• declaration of value
• Letter showing BIN number
• Goods are examined at the dock to ensure prohibited goods are
not exported.
