This research aims to monitor the traffic condition and to control the traffic light. This system can reduce not only traffic congestion but also waiting time. This system is designed to be implemented in places nearing the junctions. This research is based on the effective use of Internet of Things IoT . This system will display the traffic conditions in the website and the traffic light can be controlled from this website. This system has been implemented by using esp8266, ultrasonic sensor and arduino. Esp8266 nodemcu which is IoT device is used to transmit the traffic information to the website which is connected with this device. Ultrasonic sensors are placed on each road to sense the presence and absence of vehicles. Traffic information is received from these sensors. Traffic light prototype is built by using an arduino UNO. This traffic light can be controlled from the website. The system will display the traffic states in the website that can guide the drivers to select the right way and avoid traffic congestions. A smart traffic management is a wide topic of research. Many modifications can be made to make the urban traffic flow smoothly on the roads. The increasing utilization of private vehicles and public transportation due to advancement of technology causes hectic traffic complexities for the civilians across the globe. The problem of traffic congestion is an everyday problem for human resource and therefore hinders the growth of the country by affecting its productivity as well as economy. Moreover, the traffic signaling systems have predetermined fixed operational time which fails to manage the traffic density changing with time and thus, long traffic queues are formed at the road crossings resulting in increased pollution and waiting time. In this paper, we tried to provide solution to reduce the waiting time at road crossings while keeping in mind the importance of time of the citizens as well as the emergency service providers (such as EMS i.e. Emergency Medical Services, Fire and Rescue Services, etc.). The presented system in this paper is based on smart traffic congestion control system that will automatically set the signal time based on the measured values of vehicle density on road lanes. However, the manual changes can also be made to traffic signals for efficient traffic management in case of emergencies. This paper presents an idea of traffic management using internet of things (IOT). The Internet of Things (IoT) refers to a system of internet-connected objects that are able to collect and transfer data over a wireless network without human intervention. This technology provides an effective communication between different signals and helps in collection of data thereby providing an IoT based smart traffic management system in terms of its automated tracking, monitoring and controlling of vehicles and its data processing.

The project is designed to develop a density based dynamic traffic signal system having remote override facilities. During normal time the signal timing changes automatically on sensing the traffic density at the junction but in the event of any emergency vehicle like ambulance, fire brigade etc. requiring priority are built in with RF remote control to override the set timing by providing instantaneous green signal in the desired direction while blocking the other lanes by red signal for some time. Traffic congestion is a severe problem in many major cities across the world thus it is felt imperative to provide such facilities to important vehicles.

In current situation, the signal remains green until the present cars have passed. To avoid those problems we propose a system for controlling the traffic light by image processing. The system will detect vehicles through images instead of using electronic sensors embedded in the pavement. A camera will be installed alongside the traffic light. It will capture image sequences. For this purpose, edge detection has been carried out and according to percentage of matching traffic light-durations can be controlled. In addition, when an emergency vehicle is approaching the junction, it will communicate to the traffic controller in the junction to turn ON the green light. This module uses ZigBee modules for wireless communications between the ambulance and traffic controller. Intelligent traffic control system helps to pass emergency vehicles smoothly. Traffic signal management system is developed for the traffic police, to control the traffic lights manually. Additionally an information system is added using a chat bot module to avail traffic information to user.

Recently more & more hearing impaired people started using sign language. There are about 70 million people in the whole World that are not able to speak (dumb). A dumb person makes communication with other people using their motion of the hand or expressions. . Sign language helps the dumb people to make communication like normal people. The sign language translator which has been already developed uses a glove fitted with sensors that can interpret the 16 English letters in American Sign Language (ASL). Accelerometers and flex sensors are used in this system which increases its overall cost. We proposed a solution as a prototype called as “smart glove-for speech impaired people” which will translate sign language into text. It will help dump and deaf people to express their thoughts in more convenient way. As a sign language we have used traditional finger movements with contact switch wrapped around the user’s fingers. An IR transmitter receiver pair, HT12E and HT12D IC and, Arduino (Micro Controller) board helps transmitting data to PC. Moreover, use of contact switches reduces the system’s overall cost.

ATCS is an Automated Toll Collection System used for collecting tax automatically. A vehicle will hold an RFID tag. This tag is nothing but unique identification number assigned. This will be assigned by RTO or traffic governing authority. In accordance with this number we will store, all basic information as well as the amount he has paid in advance for the TOLL collection. Reader will be strategically placed at toll collection center. Whenever the vehicle passes the toll Plaza, the tax amount will be deducted from his prepaid balance. New balance will be updated. Incase if one has insufficient balance, his updated balance will be negative one. To tackle this problem, we are alarming a sound, which will alert the authority that this vehicle doesn’t have sufficient balance and that particular vehicle can be trapped. As vehicles don’t have to stop in a queue, it assures time saving, fuel conservation and also contributing in saving of money.
Due to the heavy traffic in the road many people are suffering. Even though there is traffic signal available at various places it is not easy to control the crowd. In order to avoid traffic problem heavily on the road, we designed and developed a system so called as traffic controller with wireless control for ambulance and VIP vehicles. In this paper, we proposed an Implementing Intelligent Traffic Control for Congestion, Ambulance clearance, and Stolen Vehicle Detection. This system was implemented based on present criteria that tracking three conditions in those one is heavy traffic control and another one is making a root of emergency vehicle like ambulance and VIP vehicle. In this paper we are going to implement a sensor network work which is used to detect the traffic density and also use RFID reader and tags. We use AVR system-on-chip to read the RFID tags attached to the vehicles. It counts number of vehicles that passes on a particular path during a specified duration using infrared sensor. If the RFID tag read belongs to the stolen vehicles. GSM SIM900 used for message sending towards the police control room. In addition, when an ambulance or some VIP vehicle if approach the junction, it will communicate the traffic controller in the junction to turn on the green light in the path.

We are integrating this wireless sensor networks into the internet as a part of IOT so that anyone can access the Situations about the highway anywhere in the world.
Nowadays the vehicle accident rate has been increasing as compared to the previous decade. This system proposes a solution to minimize the action time after an accident. It has the capability of ensuring the drivers safety along with the co-passengers and can easily be integrated with the car. The vehicle is connected to a hardware device that detects the collision with the help of a vibration sensor. The hardware device also consists of a fire sensor that senses fire breakouts. It communicates with an application in the Smartphone through Zigbee Bluetooth whenever collision or fire is sensed. If the driver doesnt want to communicate any information, he can cancel using the reset switch. Once the Bluetooth connection is established, the application would track and communicate the victims GPS location along with the patients entire medical report to their companions as well as the nearest hospital through an SMS. The application also checks the availability of the blood in the nearest blood bank and sends a notification back as soon as the availability of blood is ensured. A. Background and Objective Telehealth has become a well known tool for the delivery of health care in Saudi Arabia, and the perspective and knowledge of healthcare providers are influential in the implementation, adoption and advancement of the method. This systematic review was conducted to examine the current literature base regarding telehealth and the related healthcare professional perspective and knowledge in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Materials and Methods This systematic review was conducted by searching 7 databases including, MEDLINE, CINHAL, Web of Science, Scopus, PubMed, PsycINFO, and ProQuest Central. Studies on healthcare practitioners telehealth knowledge and perspectives published in English in Saudi Arabia from 2000 to 2023 were included. Boland directed this comprehensive review. The researchers examined each connected study using the AXIS tool, which evaluates cross sectional systematic reviews. Narrative synthesis was used to summarise and convey the data. Results Out of 1840 search results, 10 studies were included. Positive outlook and limited knowledge among providers were seen across trials. Healthcare professionals like telehealth for its ability to improve quality, access, and delivery, save time and money, and be successful. Age, gender, occupation, and work experience also affect health workers knowledge. In Saudi Arabia, healthcare professionals face inadequate expert assistance, patient privacy, internet connection concerns, lack of training courses, lack of telehealth understanding, and high costs while performing telemedicine. Conclusions Healthcare practitioners telehealth perceptions and knowledge were examined in this systematic study. Its collection of concerned experts different personal attitudes and expertise would help enhance telehealths implementation in Saudi Arabia, develop its healthcare delivery alternative, and eliminate frequent problems. This research investigates the nexus between online discussions on Dr. B.R. Ambedkars ideals and their impact on social inclusion among college students in Gurugram, Haryana. Surveying 240 students from 12 government colleges, findings indicate that 65 actively engage in online discussions, with 80 demonstrating moderate to high awareness of Ambedkars ideals. Statistically significant correlations reveal that higher online engagement correlates with increased awareness p 0.05 and perceived social inclusion. Variations across colleges and a notable effect of college type on perceived social inclusion highlight the influence of contextual factors. Furthermore, the intersectional analysis underscores nuanced differences based on gender, caste, and socio economic status. The Role of Mentoring and Its Influence on the Effectiveness of the Teaching ...ijtsrd
This paper reports on a study which was conducted to investigate the role of mentoring and its influence on the effectiveness of the teaching of Physics in secondary schools in the South West Region of Cameroon. The study adopted the convergent parallel mixed methods design, focusing on respondents in secondary schools in the South West Region of Cameroon. Both quantitative and qualitative data were collected, analysed separately, and the results were compared to see if the findings confirm or disconfirm each other. The quantitative analysis found that majority of the respondents 72 of Physics teachers affirmed that they had more experienced colleagues as mentors to help build their confidence, improve their teaching, and help them improve their effectiveness and efficiency in guiding learners’ achievements. Only 28 of the respondents disagreed with these statements. With majority respondents 72 agreeing with the statements, it implies that in most secondary schools, experienced Physics teachers act as mentors to build teachers’ confidence in teaching and improving students’ learning. The interview qualitative data analysis summarized how secondary school Principals use meetings with mentors and mentees to promote mentorship in the school milieu. This has helped strengthen teachers’ classroom practices in secondary schools in the South West Region of Cameroon. With the results confirming each other, the study recommends that mentoring should focus on helping teachers employ social interactions and instructional practices feedback and clarity in teaching that have direct measurable impact on students’ learning achievements. This study primarily focuses on the design of a high side buck converter using an Arduino microcontroller. The converter is specifically intended for use in DC DC applications, particularly in standalone solar PV systems where the PV output voltage exceeds the load or battery voltage. To evaluate the performance of the converter, simulation experiments are conducted using Proteus Software. These simulations provide insights into the input and output voltages, currents, powers, and efficiency under different state of charge SoC conditions of a 12V,70Ah rechargeable lead acid battery. Additionally, the hardware design of the converter is implemented, and practical data is collected through operation, monitoring, and recording. By comparing the simulation results with the practical results, the efficiency and performance of the designed converter are assessed. The findings indicate that while the buck converter is suitable for practical use in standalone PV systems, its efficiency is compromised due to a lower output current. This paper aims to outline the executive regulations, survey standards, and specifications required for the implementation of the Sudan Survey Act, and for regulating and organizing all surveying work activities in Sudan. The act has been discussed for more than 5 years. The Land Survey Act was initiated by the Sudan Survey Authority and all official legislations were headed by the Sudan Ministry of Justice till it was issued in 2022. The paper presents conceptual guidelines to be used for the Survey Act implementation and to regulate the survey work practice, standardizing the field surveys, processing, quality control, procedures, and the processes related to survey work carried out by the stakeholders and relevant authorities in Sudan. The conceptual guidelines are meant to improve the quality and harmonization of geospatial data and to aid decision making processes as well as geospatial information systems. The established comprehensive executive regulations will govern and regulate the implementation of the Sudan Survey Geomatics Act in all surveying and mapping practices undertaken by the Sudan Survey Authority SSA and state local survey departments for public or private sector organizations. Towards the Implementation of the Sudan Interpolated Geoid Model Khartoum Sta...ijtsrd
The discussions between ellipsoid and geoid have invoked many researchers during the recent decades, especially during the GNSS technology era, which had witnessed a great deal of development but still geoid undulation requires more investigations. To figure out a solution for Sudans local geoid, this research has tried to intake the possibility of determining the geoid model by following two approaches, gravimetric and geometrical geoid model determination, by making use of GNSS leveling benchmarks at Khartoum state. The Benchmarks are well distributed in the study area, in which, the horizontal coordinates and the height above the ellipsoid have been observed by GNSS while orthometric heights were carried out using precise leveling. The Global Geopotential Model GGM represented in EGM2008 has been exploited to figure out the geoid undulation at the benchmarks in the study area. This is followed by a fitting process, that has been done to suit the geoid undulation data which has been computed using GNSS leveling data and geoid undulation inspired by the EGM2008. Two geoid surfaces were created after the fitting process to ensure that they are identical and both of them could be counted for getting the same geoid undulation with an acceptable accuracy. In this respect, statistical operation played an important role in ensuring the consistency and integrity of the model by applying cross validation techniques splitting the data into training and testing datasets for building the geoid model and testing its eligibility. The geometrical solution for geoid undulation computation has been utilized by applying straightforward equations that facilitate the calculation of the geoid undulation directly through applying statistical techniques for the GNSS leveling data of the study area to get the common equation parameters values that could be utilized to calculate geoid undulation of any position in the study area within the claimed accuracy. Both systems were checked and proved eligible to be used within the study area with acceptable accuracy which may contribute to solving the geoid undulation problem in the Khartoum area, and be further generalized to determine the geoid model over the entire country, and this could be considered in the future, for regional and continental geoid model. The COVID 19 pandemic has highlighted the crucial need of preventive measures, with widespread use of face masks being a key method for slowing the viruss spread. This research investigates face mask identification using deep learning as a technological solution to be reducing the risk of coronavirus transmission. The proposed method uses state of the art convolutional neural networks CNNs and transfer learning to automatically recognize persons who are not wearing masks in a variety of circumstances. The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. Internet of things can be compared to the communication
among humans, with respect to the equation above. For
instance, humans have biological sensors such as ears, eyes,
skin, taste buds, etc. to perceive what is happening in their
surroundings [2]. This research focuses on the
communication between traffic lights, sensors and users. In
this case, each sensors which sense and transmit traffic data
act as eye.
III. LITERATURE REVIEW
N. Choosri, in March 2015, proposed IoT-RFID testbed for
supporting traffic light control. In this paper, RFID
technology is used to figure out congestion level of road.
RFID tags are equipped in every vehicle and RFID reader is
installed at the intersection to read the tag when thetags are
within the operating distance of the reader. With this
configuration, the reader can count the number of identified
tags to figure out congestion level.[2]
Dr. Sanjeev Uppal, in April 2016, proposed smart traffic
control system using GSM. This system allows traffic
management and traffic reporting advice to road users. It
provides the users who wish to obtain the latest traffic
information on congested roads by using GSM phone with
SMS facility. The presence of vehicles is sensed by sensor
mounted on each road. The timing sequence of traffic lights
is decided by the total traffic on all the adjacent roads. [10]
Aadish Agrawal, Shreyash Saurabh, in2017, proposedtraffic
control system using zigbee module. Thissystemcanchange
all the traffic light signals to green in order to provide a clear
way for the emergency vehicles. In this system, the
emergency vehicle is equipped with the zigbee transmitter
and zigbee receiver is implemented at the traffic pole. If
zigbee transmitter is switched on by the driver, the
transmitter will communicate with nearby traffic signal and
it will convert the traffic light to green. [11]
IV. SOFTWARE REQUIREMENT
A. Thinger.io IoT platform
Thinger.io is an open source IoT platform. IoT devices are
connected with this platform andmanagethesedevicesfrom
this platform. An account is registered to their cloud
infrastructure and the open source libraries can be used for
connecting devices. This platform can connect with any
devices such as Arduino, ESP8266, Raspberry Pi and so on.
Turning on a light from the internet and reading a sensor
value are made by writing a single line of code on the MCU.
B. Wireshark software
Wireshark is the open-source packet or network protocol
analyser. It is a network analysis tool formerly known as
Ethereal. It can capture packets in realtime anddisplaythem
in human-readable format. Using wireshark, user can
troubleshoot network problems, examine security issues,
debug protocols and learn network process. It can also save
packet data to file for offline analysis. It is a GUI based
network capture tool.
V. PROPOSED SYSTEM
The functional block diagram of overall system is shown in
Figure 1. The system is divided into two parts: monitoring
section and control section.
In monitoring section, it includes IoT devices. Each IoT
devices consists of esp8266 nodemcu, ultrasonic sensors,
arduino, TM1637 LED display and LEDs. Arduino , LEDs and
TM1637 are used to build the traffic light. Ultrasonic sensor
and nodemcu are used to monitor the traffic condition.
Ultrasonic sensor senses the traffic condition and the result
is send to the website by using nodemcu esp8266 wifi
module. So user can see the traffic information from this
website.
In control section, arduino and nodemcu are connected to
change the timing sequence of traffic light. Arduino that is
used to build the traffic lightisinterrupted with nodemcu via
the website from control room when the traffic jams at the
road.

Hcsr04 ultrasonic sensor is composed of ultrasonic
transmitter, ultrasonic receiver and a control circuit.
Ultrasonic transmitter transmits ultrasound waves at
40kHz.Transmitted waves bounce back if they hit any flat
surface or object in their path. Bounced back waves reach
the ultrasonic receiver. Ultrasonic receiver receives the
bounced back waves and notifies the control circuit about it.
Control circuit calculates the time taken by waves to reach
back after transmission. It can measure distancebetween an
active range of 2cm to 4m.It has four pins-Vcc ,Gnd, Trigger
and Echo.

Where D = distance,
C = the sonic speed(340m/s),
T= time between the emission and reception
The value is multiplied by ½ because T is the time for go-
and-return distance.

The ESP8266 is the name of a micro controller designed by
Espressif systems.TheESP8266 itself isaself-containedWiFi
networking solution offering as a bridge from existingmicro
controller to WiFi and is also capable of running self-
contained applications. This module comes with a built in
USB connecter and a rich assortment of pin-outs. NodeMCU
is a firmware that allows user to program the ESP8266
module.
NodeMCU microcontroller consists of nine digital I/O pins
and one analog I/O pin. It requires 600mA of current for its
full load opertaion. It operates at 3.3V power supply. The
microcontroller is equipped with an esp8266 WiFi module
[1]. The esp8266 WiFi module has 4MB of flash memory.
Nodemcu has 80MHz CPU frequency and upload speed is
115200 baud rate. This device can be directly programmed
from the arduino IDE.

Firstly, start block is represented as initialization of the
system. Then, parameters that used in the system are
declared and check the internet connection of the devices. If
device is not connected with the internet, go back to the
second step. If the device is connected with the internet, go
to the next step. In this step, ultrasonic sensor senses the
traffic condition and then this result is sent to the thinger.io.
Then the result is checked. If the result is “free”, go to the 4th
step. If the result is “traffic jam”, traffic light is interrupted
from thinger.io IoT platform.
VI. EXPERIMENTAL TEST AND RESULT
A. Monitoring Section

Figure 5 shows the monitoring of the traffic condition and
display the result in the thinger.io IoT platform. Ultrasonic
sensor is connected with nodemcu and senses thecondition.
And then, the result is sent to the thinger.io via nodemcu. To
use the thinger.io IoT platform, an account is signed up to
this platform. And, device must be added in device list and
dashboard is added in dashboard list to monitor and control
the traffic condition. In dashboard, condition is displayed
with many ways by adding widget. The figure in the left
shows testing the ultrasonic sensor with object in front of it.
The figure in the right shows that the traffic condition of the
road can be seen from dashboard list in thinger.io.

Figure 6 also shows the monitoring of the traffic condition
and the result is shown in the thinger.io IoT platform. The
figure in the left shows testing the ultrasonic sensor with no
object in front of it. The figure in the right shows that the
condition which is no vehicle in front of ultrasonic sensor
can be seen from thinger.io IoT platform.

Figure 8 show the timing sequenceafterinterruption.Traffic
light and timing sequence are built by using arduino.
Interruption can be made from thinger.ioIoTplatformwhen
it needs to change the timing sequence of traffic light. When
there is traffic in first lane and there is no traffic in other
lane, the timing sequence of the first lane is interrupted at
green time duration. This can madelonggreen timeduration
for first lane and long red time duration for other lane.

Figure 9 shows thethroughputgraphbetween computer and
thinger.io. Throughput is defined as the quantity of data
being sent or received by unit of time. This graph is resulted
from wireshark software. Wireshark software is usedtotest
the response speed of the system. All the packets which are
passing through system network interfacefrom computerto
thinger.io IoT platform can be seen by using this software.
From these packets, response speed such as round trip time
and throughput graph can be produced inthissoftware. This
throughput graph can be produced from these packets. In
this figure, Y axis at the right represents the average
throughput in bit per second, Y axis at the left represent the
segment length and X axis represents the time. At thisgraph,
average throughput 4500 bits/s are sent from computer to
thinger.io at every 1 second.
VII. CONCLUSION
As the volume of vehicles inside city is increasing
significantly, citizens using public transportation are more
troubles for traffic jam. In this paper, a traffic management
system that is capable of monitoring and controlling the
traffic condition have been developed and implemented by
using internet of things (IoT). By usingthissystem,userscan
know the traffic information from anywhere and sothey can
decide the right way to reach their destination in time. Thus,
the system developed in this paper proves to be reliable and
cost-effective.
