A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

3. You can create a publication in the page maker, it is most important to
plan its content and design.
Planning and designing a publication involves determining the
information and sketching a layout.
4. Start a page maker and then close template palette.
Click the file menu on the menu bar, then click New option.
The document setup dialog box is open make them page size is set to
letter and set to Tall.
Set the publication to be single side and set the margins click ok.
Reposition of zero point at the intersection of the top and left margin.
Finally create a new publications.
5. Start a page maker, open a publication window.
And then Select the content of the publication.
You want to edit the Ribbon toolbar and click Properties.
The Publication window is opens.
Enter General Publication settings.
Open a Workflow tab, and create Workflow associations for templates—
Workflow settings.
Assign Address Books to Publications to make them available to users so that
users who have access to this Publication.
Save the file and close the publication.
6. Start a page maker ,open a publication
Select the Content Management node.
Select a list view, and then select the Publication you want to delete.
Open Ribbon toolbar Home menu bar and click Delete
Then publication is deleted
7. Click file on the menu bar, then click place option.
Use the Look in list arrow to drive and folder where you project located
Select the logo .tiff file, and then click open
Click ok
Position the .tiff place pointer at the upper left corner of the publication.
Save the file and close
8. Start a page maker and select the graphics.
Move the pointer and lower left corner of selection handle of the logo,
Press and hold the mouse button drag the selection handle to resize of the
graphics.
Align the “1” mark on the vertical ruler.
Move the graphics with its top alignment with the top margin guide.
Finally logo is resize and move a graphics.
9. Open a publication window.
Click the text tool in the tool box.
Text pointer below the logo, and at the left margin ,then click.
Change the view to actual size and then type text[press enter].
Change the view to fit in window.
Click the constrained-line tool in the toolbox.
Constrained-line pointer is below the word.
Draw the line and then draw another line just below the line.
Deselect the line then click the pointer tool in the tool box.
Save the file in the publication.
10. Click text tool in the tool box.
Then change the view to actual size.
Select the word and change the size to 14 points.
Change the type style to bold.
Change the type style to italic.
Click anywhere on the page to deselect the text.
Save and close the publication.
11. Click file on the menu bar, then click save As option.
Use the save in the list arrow to drive and folder where your project files
is located.
Choose the file and click the save option.
Finally the save the file.
12. Click the file on the menu bar, click print option.
Click the paper button or the setup button.
Print paper dialog box is open and click the document then return the
print document dialog box, click ok.
Make any other adjustments.
Click print to print file.
Save and close the document and exit the page maker.
