I lookedatthe front cover,contentspage anddouble page spreadof NME, Q and ClassicF.I chose
these magazinesspecificallybecause theyall have differenttargetaudiencesandall are intriguingto
take a closerlookat.I will be lookingatthe targetaudience eachmagazine triestoattract.

Thismagazine targetsa niche marketbecause itisunlikelytoappeal toalarge group of people.I
believethe age groupitappealstovariessignificantlythoughbecauseitispossibleyoucouldbe a
teenagerandlike listeningtoclassical music.Howeverif Iam to putan age groupon most people
whopurchase thismagazine Iwouldsay60-70 because theyenjoythissubgenre of musicandalso
fromlookingatthe double page spreadthere isalotof textto suittheirpreferences.Ialsofeel the
social classof thismagazine iswhite middle/upperclass.Thisisbecause Iclassical musicisquite a
historical subgenre of musicanda lotof itoriginallycame fromthe churchand those whoplaythe
instrumentsare usuallymiddleorupperclass. I dofeel thoughthatthisstereotpye we have of those
wholistentoclassical musicisbecomingmore andmore outdatedwithsome believingit’sa"myth."
More people whodonotfitthistarget audience are enjoyingthe genre andbeinginspiredbythe
musicso classicfmcan targetthisinitial targetaudience of white,middle/upperclassand60-70-
yearsof age but theyshouldinclude otherfeaturestoappeal tothose outside of this.

I feel the age of the target audience wouldbe around17-29 and theywouldbe mainlymales.The
firstNME magazine wasreleasedin1952 so the magazine hasbeenpublishedforoversixtyyears.It
appealstothose whohave enjoyedmusicforquite alongtime andenjoythe musicthat theybelieve
issuperiorto today'sconventional popmusic.The targetaudienceoftenenjoyfilmandtechnology
and are trendy.Ifeel the peoplewhomake upthistargetaudience are more likelytobe white
howeveronlyjust.DizzeeRascal featuredonthe frontof the frontcoverI analysedandhe is very
popularwithblackpeople inparticular.The targetaudience inmyopinionisveryflexible because
thismagazine appealstothe massmarketand therefore lotsof peoplecanenjoythismagazine.

The magazines I evaluated and their target audiences I lookedatthe front cover,contentspage anddouble page spreadof NME, Q and ClassicF.I chose these magazinesspecificallybecause theyall have differenttargetaudiencesandall are intriguingto take a closerlookat.I will be lookingatthe targetaudience eachmagazine triestoattract. ClassicFM Thismagazine targetsa niche marketbecause itisunlikelytoappeal toalarge group of people.I believethe age groupitappealstovariessignificantlythoughbecauseitispossibleyoucouldbe a teenagerandlike listeningtoclassical music.Howeverif Iam to putan age groupon most people whopurchase thismagazine Iwouldsay60-70 because theyenjoythissubgenre of musicandalso fromlookingatthe double page spreadthere isalotof textto suittheirpreferences.Ialsofeel the social classof thismagazine iswhite middle/upperclass.Thisisbecause Iclassical musicisquite a historical subgenre of musicanda lotof itoriginallycame fromthe churchand those whoplaythe instrumentsare usuallymiddleorupperclass. I dofeel thoughthatthisstereotpye we have of those wholistentoclassical musicisbecomingmore andmore outdatedwithsome believingit’sa"myth." More people whodonotfitthistarget audience are enjoyingthe genre andbeinginspiredbythe musicso classicfmcan targetthisinitial targetaudience of white,middle/upperclassand60-70- yearsof age but theyshouldinclude otherfeaturestoappeal tothose outside of this. NME I feel the age of the target audience wouldbe around17-29 and theywouldbe mainlymales.The firstNME magazine wasreleasedin1952 so the magazine hasbeenpublishedforoversixtyyears.It appealstothose whohave enjoyedmusicforquite alongtime andenjoythe musicthat theybelieve issuperiorto today'sconventional popmusic.The targetaudienceoftenenjoyfilmandtechnology and are trendy.Ifeel the peoplewhomake upthistargetaudience are more likelytobe white howeveronlyjust.DizzeeRascal featuredonthe frontof the frontcoverI analysedandhe is very popularwithblackpeople inparticular.The targetaudience inmyopinionisveryflexible because thismagazine appealstothe massmarketand therefore lotsof peoplecanenjoythismagazine.
