Technology Essay Writing
Crafting an essay on the subject of "Technology Essay Writing" can be both challenging and
rewarding. The intricacies of this task lie in the dynamic nature of technology, the diverse facets
it encompasses, and the need to strike a balance between technical details and accessibility for a
broader audience.
Firstly, delving into the world of technology demands a comprehensive understanding of the
latest advancements, emerging trends, and historical context. Keeping up with the rapid pace of
technological innovation poses a constant challenge, as new breakthroughs often render existing
information outdated. The need for up-to-date and reliable sources is paramount, making
thorough research an essential component of the writing process.
Furthermore, the multifaceted nature of technology requires the writer to navigate through
various subtopics, from artificial intelligence and cybersecurity to biotechnology and ethical
considerations. Striking a harmonious blend between technical details and layman's terms is
crucial for making the content accessible to a diverse audience. Balancing depth and simplicity is
a constant tightrope walk, ensuring that the essay remains informative without overwhelming the
reader with jargon.
Another hurdle lies in addressing the ethical implications of technology. The writer must grapple
with issues such as privacy concerns, the digital divide, and the potential societal impact of
technological developments. Discussing these aspects requires a nuanced approach, considering
different perspectives and potential consequences.
However, despite the challenges, crafting an essay on technology offers a unique opportunity to
engage with a topic that shapes our modern world. It allows the writer to explore the intersection
of innovation, ethics, and societal implications, fostering a deeper understanding of the role
technology plays in our lives.
In conclusion, while writing an essay on "Technology Essay Writing" can be demanding, it
presents an opportunity for intellectual growth and critical analysis. Navigating the complexities
of technology requires diligence, research, and a keen awareness of ethical considerations.
Through careful crafting, an essay on this subject can serve as an insightful exploration of our
relationship with technology.

Barack Obama s Presidential Run
I recently stumbled upon a short video published by The New York Times in 2008
during the pinnacle of Barack Obama s presidential run. This video, entitles Being
Multiracial in America, featured a group of young, mixed race College students
elated that the United States would potentially elect a man that grew up in a blended
culture comparable to their own. There was this conspicuous desire shared among
these students to live in a society understanding of the intricacies of one s racial
identity. None of these students wished to identify themselves as only one of their
races. They wanted to eliminate this illusion of racial choice. To these young people,
one person shouldn t choose what sole racethey are because they exist within this
category of both . The complexity of their own genetic makeup was something they
felt would be eradicated by aligning themselves with only a percentage of
themselves. Seeing a man run for president who made it known to the country that
his mother was White and his father was Black overjoyed these individuals. There
was an astounding sense of hope that Barack Obama provided for this group. Their
prospect was that once the people of this nation understood that mixed raced
individuals can acknowledge themselves as such, we would be on our way to
eradicating this intense racial divide, leading to so much violence and anger, that
exists within our country. Eight years later, this country is now at the brink of saying
farewell to Obama.
Blame Home Inspector Essay
Points to Consider Before You Blame the Home Inspector
When you are hunting for a home, hiring a home inspector is critical. Home
inspections provide important information for home buyers. However, many
property owners are somewhat misguided in terms of what they should expect from
a home inspector. Before you blame your inspector for a perceived oversight, you
may want to explore the topic a bit further.
The Current State of a Property
It is important to remember that when an inspector examines a home, only the current
state of the home can truly be assessed. It is not possible to view a home and
suddenly be aware of all of the problems that may have been addressed in the past.
Additionally, even the most astute professional cannot be expected to predict the
issues that could manifest in the future. Unfortunately, numerous property buyers
have unrealistic expectations when using inspectors.
Code Determination
Another fallacy that some homeowners believe is that their inspectors will assess the
code qualifications of their homes. This can lead to confusion, frustration, and blame
on the part of a property owner. If you have recently purchased a home after having it
inspected, you should ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This means an assessment of the systems and physical structure of the home, from
the foundation to the roof. All home inspections in the Central Valley should be
performed in accordance with industry Standards of Practice. These standards are
commonly recognized by entities such as the American Society of Home Inspectors
(ASHI) and the California Real Estate Inspectors Association (CREIA). Your
inspector should be able to provide you with a copy of the standards before an
inspection takes place. You should also be provided with a pre inspection report and
a detailed inspection report. Don t hesitate to ask your inspector exactly what will be

Lenders will charge higher interest rates than for conventional mortgages as they seek
to compensate for carrying higher risk).
Banks became increasingly worried about both the value of their own mortgage books
and particularly the value of the mortgage securitised investments they had bought
from other institutions As a result they became reluctant to lend to other banks in the
short term money markets. This crisis of confidence led to major liquidity problems
for many banks and insurance companies worldwide. Liquidity means the ability of
institutions, including banks, to meet their short term obligations including
repayment of short term loans.
The oil price eventually peaked at $147 per barrel in mid 2008.
How did the crisis develop during 2008?
The Bank of England had to provide financial support to the Northern Rock
Building Society in the latter part of 2007, to prevent a run on the society s cash by
depositors. It became necessary to formally nationalise Northern Rock in February
2008 (i.e. the Government became its major shareholder, having used taxpayers
money to support it). Early in 2008 a major US investment bank, Bear Stearns, had
to be rescued by J.P. Morgan with US Government support. The crisis deepened in
the summer of 2008 and on the 7th September 2008, two
major US mortgage finance operations, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac,
An Envelope Research Paper
Last years Christmas was the best by far. I got a few good things but the best one
was in an envelope. In the envelope were concert tickets to see Kip Moore and
Chase Bryant. I had to wait a month or so to see the concert because it was in
February. When it became the day of the concert is was filled with joy and was so
exited. The concert was at Hartman Arena, and when we got there there was a big
truck that had a big picture of Kip Moore on it so, my mom took a picture of me in
front of it. We didn t wait long to get in and there wasn t that many people but,
there were quite a few. My mom had bought good sets we weren t standing in the
crowd, but we were sitting a few rows up from the front sets. We sat down and waited

Differences between Protein Shake and Protein Steak
From the moment of its creation, protein powder has been engulfed in a tornado of
controversy. Doctors, scientists, and athletes have debated on whether or not it
should be used for years. Protein provides the building blocks for all cells and
membranes, hormones and various growth factors. Elena Voropay, a writer for Iron
Man Magazine, says Proteinis found literally everywhere in your system: there is
protein in your muscle tissues, your heart, in the enzymes that digest your food, in
your skin cells and even within your blood (Voropay 1).
Protein from whole food has been around since the creation of the world and the
times of the hunter gatherers. Those ages didn t have whey protein isolate, powdered
casein protein, or any of those ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The best selling protein shakes are all based on milk proteins. Protein in its
powdered form is also much lighter than a full meal. This comes into play when the
protein shake is taken as a pre workout. In that case, it is much better to eat a lighter
shake before a HIT or high intensity training regimen, otherwise the contents of your
meal may end up on the gym floor instead of being absorbed for nutrients.
It is important to choose a good, healthy protein powder because many companies
aren t honest with their product labels since their products aren t regulated by the
Food and Drug Administration. Nutrilite, a company who specializes in supplements
and nutrition, is a company that is totally honest about their labels. Nutrilite created
the first multi vitamin well over fifty years ago. Their products are pure and because
they are organic, are considered whole food. This means that they are regulated by the
Food and Drug Administration. Also, they are the only one endorsed by the National
Collegiate Athlete Association (NCAA).
Some negatives when looking at powdered Protein products are that first and
foremost, they lack the supplemental nutrients that whole foods have to offer. For
example, beef is high in iron, while salmon is loaded with healthy fats. Yogurt
provides calcium, and whole wheat supplies B vitamins. Dr. Mercola, a chiropractor,
healthy specialist and author, says that the whey protein isolates are devoid of

Privitisation of Higher Education in India
Introduction 350 words per page
Higher Education must lead the march back to the fundamentals of human
relationships, to the old discovery that is ever new, that man does not live by bread
alone. John A. Hannah
Education has always been and continues to be one of the most important needs of
mankind. It helps man indoctrinate values and apply the technical know how in real
life situations. Of late, there has been an increasing trend towards privatisation of
higher education in India. The Government of India cannot absolve itself from the
responsibility of providing higher education to its citizens. The Government is thus
obliged to not only strive towards providing access to higher education to all its
citizens but must also try and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There are a large number of colleges which are aided colleges and receive a
substantial amount of aid from the Government in order to bear the operating costs.
The Private Colleges that receive aid do not help in bringing down the expenditure of
the Government in higher education. The Government would continue to spend as
much in higher education without a reduction in the expenditure.
(b) Unaided Colleges
Unaided Colleges are privately managed and raise their own funds. The Hon ble
Supreme Court has held that the right to admit students being an essential facet of the
right to administer educational institutions of their choice, as contemplated in Article
30 of the Constitution, the State Government or the University may not be entitled to
interfere with that right, so long as the admission to the unaided educational
institutions is on a transparent basis and the merit is adequately taken care of. The
right to administer, not being absolute, there could be regulatory measures for
ensuring educational standards and maintaining excellence thereof, and it is more so
in the matter of admissions to professional institutions . This was observed by the
Hon ble Supreme Court in T.M.A.Pai Foundation and others v. State of Karnataka
and others.

The Impressionist Movement In Art
In the 19th century, there was an artistic transition from realism to a new form called
impressionism. This change originated in France, as the world underwent a transition
to industrialization. The impressionist was able to understand how light and color
operate hand in hand in a painting. Instead of seeing an image as a whole work,
impressionist would see smaller images making up the entire piece. The style was
primarily made of the use of intense colors, open composition, light and movement
and brush strokes. They were mainly concerned with producing visual reality in their
paintings in terms of fleeting effects of color and light.
The impressionist was given their name by an artist named Claude Monet. He created
a unique piece entitled Impression: Sunrise that helped define the impressionist
movement in art. The group of artist that made up this group was small, and their
ideas were often criticized. Following the impressionist, was the post impressionist
period. This group of artists felt that the impressionists were neglecting too many
traditional elements. Post impressionist art was a reaction against impressionism.
The primary characteristic of the impressionism was the focus of sense of immediacy,
putting emphasize on the quality change, movement appearance, commonly the angle
of visualization, the total effect instead of visual strokes of the brush and the details.
Impressionist aimed at displaying the nature instantly. In essence, they wanted to

Beowulf (G), the hero, is able to identify Grendel (G) s pattern and destroy him.
Since mankind could only defeat Grendel (G) by creating a hero more powerful than
him, the hero represents a kind of process that ultimately creates a greater monster.
Therefore, using these archetypes, Gardner and the Beowulf poet use the same story
to illuminate the difference between ancient and modern society; Beowulf (AS) is the
proper representative of the Anglo Saxon society, and Grendel (G) is the proper
representative of the modern world.
Grendel s role remains the same in both books; the role of a monster that embodies
humanity s fears, a creature that human society creates. Grendel (AS) exists as a
mindless perversion of nature. He represents one branch of the human society
created by God that is distorted by evil. However Grendel (G) exists as just another
aspect of nature, outside of human society; until he is transformed by his contact
with mankind, the concept of monster does not apply to Grendel (G.) In viewing the
monstrous body as a metaphor for the cultural body...beasts, demons, freaks, and
fiends are symbolic expressions of cultural unease that pervades a society and shapes
its collective behavior. (Cohen). This is especially true of Grendel (G), whose

for energy efficiency in different fields that helps businesses/individuals employ
certain techniques that protect environment and save money. Energy Star was
launched by U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in 1992 but is now managed by
U.S. Department of Energy and U.S. EPA together. Energy Star ratings are now
globally applied to many appliances and building systems but there is a separate set
of benchmarks and energy tracking tools for data centers. The energy star score for

This analysis gives out an equation that will predict the energy use of the data center.
The analysis in this tool is based on survey data collected by EPA in coordination
with major industry associations, including Uptime Institute, Green grid, 7x24

In the process of having a fair assessment of the data center energy use, the Energy

evaluated to assess the efficiency remain consistent. These filters are
1.Must have complete data for energy use and operation as complete data is
necessary for a consistent and reliable assessment.
2.Must provide IT energy measured at the output of the UPS meter all IT energy

be assessed on a different set of data values.
3.Must be a stand alone data center Such analytical filter outlier data points or subsets
of data that may not be significant to the analysis. Making the process more consistent
this analytical filter resulted in higher significance for regression equations.
After going through these filters the remaining data set has 61 properties based on the
common design requirements of a data center.
Another important fact about the Energy Star rating is that it accounts for a single
building even when assessing a campus of buildings. The Energy
Buying a New Home

like marginal benefit, marginal cost, strength of the economy, domestic economy,
and international trade, can have on situations and the conditions when making a
decision to purchase a home. The principles of economics can directly relate to the
purchase of a house, because you must consider all the possible affects your
decision might have and the principles do a great job at helping you be more
analytical with your decision and your reasoning to buy. When you consider marginal
benefit to a homepurchase you will be considering the benefit as a consumer you

This value of U.S. currency does affect company profits, their budgeting, as well as
manufacturing costs. There are ramifications from a decrease in value of the
dollar, examples are; capital investment, multiple plant openings and closings.
Because many companies over time have outsourced work to foreign companies
because the cost to employ people is cheaper, but the dollar has decrease in value
which is returning the factories or call centers back to the U.S. International trade
is very important to our domestic economy as it does decrease the value and power
of the dollar, which will then change our ability to afford things at a respectable
price. This is the reason for consideration when purchasing a home; these factors
are necessary to your dream of owning a home. But when these factors are what
they are right now, you can see why many might find a purchase like a home is out
of reach with the decreased value of the dollar and a struggling economy. If
Americans can start doing things a little different, like consuming less and finding
ways to innovate new ideas and more efficient ways to do more, we can then find a
solution to these failures in our economy.
For me at this time in life I see buying a home a good thing and a decision I am
ready to commit too. My reasoning is the location of where I am going to buy.
Markets around the nation are very different in comparison. I plan on
Transport By Bicycle May Seem To Be A Thing Of The Past
Transport by bicycle may seem to be a thing of the past but benefits associated with
the trend continue to give hope to those who see it as a means of daily transport. In
the United states, majority of the population consider cycling as a means of
recreation and for leisure; and so most people don t consider bicycles as a mode of
transportation. Cyclingis for everyone of all shapes, sizes, and age. Over the years,
America has learned to depend solely on cars and trucks, which operate on fossil fuel
for transportation needs. This credence generally contributes to air pollution which
has negative consequences on health (Srinivasan, O Fallon, Dearry, 2003). The

Physical inactivity has been known to result in health consequences like obesity and
heart diseases. 70%of US health costs are due to obesity associated diseases (Levine,
2011). Coronary artery disease is the most common type of heart disease estimated
to killing about 385,000 people in the America annually. Coronary Artery Disease
statistically, is the most prevalent cause of death in American for both men and
women, causing 600,000 deaths annually, which comes to about 1 in every 4 deaths,
males females. The estimated economic cost of Coronary artery disease in the
United States is $109 billion per annum. Which will also include costs of
medications, ER admissions and healthcare services (Cassar, Gersh, Holmes, Rihal,
2009).
Bicycling can help profit the same betterment in physical performance as other
specific training programs, and cycling at a proportionally low intensity for just 30
minutes a day and at least 3 times weekly can increase life expectancy by several
years (Hendriksen, Zuiderveld, Kemper, Bezemer, 2000). Although positive health
results cannot be attributed to biking alone, notwithstanding, the benefits of
amalgamating exercise and physical activity into one s day to day lifestyle is
incontrovertible. Exercising has been linked to psychological health and happiness. A
study revealed that people who exercise have an overall happier attitude both
psychologically, and behaviorally by using

Holiday Inn has managed to retain these popular customers by giving them
something back as a return, which are the reward schemes, along with cheaper rates
and discounts, although reward schemes is the most popular way as it gives

focus which is being used by HI s competitors.
Although their target focus is on business guest, HI are still able to attract other

concepts which are production, sales and marketing.
Looking at the production concepts, they have taken into account the segmentation

This has given the hotel brand the advantage to not be classified as a low budget
hotel such as other high street hotels; Travel Lodge and Premier Inn, whereas these
hotels will not use quality as an essential.

aspect, it holds a concentration on the middle market, although there are different

In the film Pirates of the Caribbean: The Black Pearl there were four main
characters involved in the fight scene. Firstly there was Elizabeth Swann (Kiera
Knightley), Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp), Commodore James Norrington (Jack

as Jack Sparrow (Depp) came to the docks at Port Royal where they don t support
pirates. When he arrived he saved Elizabeth Swann(Knightley) after she fell off the
cliff into the water and he jumped in saving her, realising her corset. When they got
out of the water the guards came and threatened Jack Sparrow (Depp), but Elizabeth

There were several reasons he chose this action, firstly as he grew up having a deep
hatred towards pirates, this is as he grew up with Elizabeth Swann s family and he
was always told that pirates have no integrity, values or morals that Will Turner
(Bloom) possesses and believes it s his civic duty to fight Jack Sparrow (Depp). A
less obvious reason is the anger he has towards Jack Sparrow as he threatened the
girl he loves, Elizabeth Swann (Knightley), he chose to fight as he wanted to prove
to everyone, especially Elizabeth Swann (Knightley), that he deserves a high status
which he would receive if he fought Jack Sparrow (Depp) and won. Lastly, Will
Turner (Bloom) fought Jack Sparrow (Depp) as he was being

Greek Life and its Impacts on Women Between family legacies, traditions, and an
abundance of college themed movies, books, and television shows, it would be
difficult to find a prospective college student who is not familiar with the idea of
Greek life. For the purpose of this essay, Greek life refers to the system employed by
many colleges and universities to establish and maintain fraternities and sororities
(primarily dominated by caucasian and economically advantages students). It is
important to note the existence of fraternities and organizations outside of this
stereotypical Greek realm, such as coeducational honor and service based fraternities,
though even these are not fully exempt from detrimental practices. Fraternities and
sororities are often looked down upon with a negative light for a number of reasons,
some of which include dangerous hazing habits and unsavory social scenes. While
there certainly are undeniable benefits and negatives within these systems, the
biggest effect they have is on gender. Greek life in college is unhealthy due to its
impact on post college gender expectations by promoting party culture, encouraging
misogyny through ingrained tradition, and indoctrinating women into subservience at
an impressionable age. First and foremost, parties plays a huge role in typical Greek
life. Party culture, in the most general sense, creates an inherently toxic

in society which effects all races and cultures. This societal gap can all be caused

The Architectural Feat Of The Palace Of Knossos
The Architectural Feat of the Palace of Knossos
The Minoan civilization that flourished on the island of Crete is best known for their
recognizable architecture and art which came about during the Bronze age. The
center for administration and economic growth for the island of Crete was confined
within the Minoan Palace of Knossos. Unfortunately, the extravagant beauty of the
palace was only recently discovered when British Archaeologist, Arthur Evans,
starting excavated the site in 1900. Evans was the first to call the ancient inhabitants
of Crete Minoans. The complexity and the grandeur of the palace helps to identify
that Knossos was at one point in history the capital of Crete (Mark, 2010).
According to Greek mythology, architect Daedalus designed the palace of Knossos
with great complexity. The objective of Daedalus plan was to make the palace so
complicated finding one s way out would be an impossible task (Sakoulas). Other
versions of the story state that Daedalus designed the labyrinth, a maze like structure,
with a double bladed ax which contained the Minotaur, a half man half bull figure
(Mark, 2010). Whatever the basis of the story may be, King Minos wanted to ensure
the secret to escaping be kept confidential. In order to do so, King Minos
demanded Daedalus and his son, Icarus, be held as prisoners in the palace. Being
the clever man Daedalus was, he anticipated the kings move. Daedalus installed two
sets of wings for him and his son to escape from the island.
How Does Norman Bates Relate To Psychology
Alfred Hitchcock s original contemporary film Psycho shocks the conservative
audiences of the 1960s era by delving into the demented intricacies of Norman Bates
mind, and questioning the façade of normality that society expects of us. Sigmund

character and to bring some meaning to the pure psychoticism of his actions.
Hitchcock s manic antagonist Norman Bates disturbing behaviour can be scrutinised

behind his horrifying matricide and subsequential murders. Bates childlike

most rape cases she did use force of resistance so she allowed him to finish the act
of trying to overpower someone. This gives me the assumption that rape to her takes

In this case her rapist was swinging from balcony to balcony raping the females in

Death And High Birth Rates From Infectious Disease
In stage 1 farming was developed and there was high death and high birth rates due
to epidemics diseases. In Stage 2 factories were developed and there are high birth
and low death rates due public health development to cure disease for the infectious.
Stage 3 is where the factories are industrialized and there is low birth and low death
rates due to chronic disease. During the 1900 s majority of the younger children died
from infectious disease rapidly, because lack of access to medication and vaccine.
Children died in the comfort of their home surrounding with family members.
Family members are able to witness death for the first time and the bodies are
preserved at home. Death is shown in public to everyone. Families can make a
ceremony for their loved one to say their last goodbye to each other. Now in the
late 1900 s majority of older people died from chronic disease at a slower rate,
because there is high advancement in the healthcare and medication systems.
However, older people frequently died in the hospital surrounding with medical
machines to increase life. Death is less visible to the public including family
members and the bodies are preserved through embalming at the funeral home.
Family members won t get the opportunity to say their last goodbye before their
loved one passed away in the hospital. Hospital sets a time period when a family
member can visit their loved one which creates a disadvantages. When a person dies

In addition, the government hydro rate cut plan, Ontario s Fair Hydro Plan for low
income families, the 8 percent reduction of HST on electricity for all consumers
under a new energy act (Amendment the Ontario Energy Board Act, 1998 with
respect to electricity pricing , Ontario, 2016), as well as the additional 17 percent
reduction in electricity fees, which is speculated to result in an extra 25 billion
dollars in interest charges will be discussed.
Further, this paper will include a discussion on potential solutions and opportunities
to mitigate the pricing structure.
1.Introduction
Presently, Ontario has one of the highest electricity costs in North America (Hydro
Quebec, 2016). This trend started when the government decided to transition into a
modern, smart, and stable network. To achieve this, more generating plants were
built to deliver more high quality electricity to consumers. Following these
changes, there was a shift towards using green energy, which involved
development of solar panels and wind systems. Of course, these initiatives were
based on anticipated load on the system which was expected to rise as per long
term planning. Following the recession in 2008, the industry was not as hot as it
was forecasted, leading to decreased demand for electricity. Therefore, there were
many contracts and projects that were in the process of approval and were voided by
the government in response to the recession. Despite this, the
Essay about Early Childhood Stage of Development
Early Childhood Stage of Development
The developmental period known as early childhood ranges from the years two to
six. These years are often called the play years. During this time play flourishes and
supports all of the phases of life. Early childhood has many physical developments
like body growth, brain development, and motor development. During this time both
gross and fine motor skills develop dramatically. Children can walk upstairs with
alternating feet, ride a tricycle, and even catch a ball with their hands. They can also
put on and remove simple clothing items, feed themselves, and draw their first
pictures of people.
For our team presentation we chose to do an obstacle course ... Show more content on

Our fourth obstacle is also dealing with colors. There are three cones setup. Under
each cone is a car. Two cars are blue and the other car is silver. CJ s job is to find
the silver car. He must look under the cones until he finds the silver car. Next is
another physical activity. CJ must stand a certain distance, measured by a piece of
tape, from a bucket. The object is to throw the three balls into the bucket. This tests
the development of arm motion and coordination. Finally, the last obstacle deals
with conservation. Conservation is the idea that physical characteristics of objects
remain the same when their outward appearance changes. This comes from Piaget
s preoperational stage. We had two glass filled with the same amount of liquid. CJ
was asked if the two glass had the same amount. Next we poured one glass of liquid
into a bowl, and asked if they had the same amount or if one had more. Of course CJ
could not answer this question. In early childhood, children cannot conserve.
All of the cognitive activities deal with Piaget s theory. In early childhood, children
move from the sensorimotor to the preoperational stage. During this stage there is a
drastic increase in representational, or symbolic activity. In Piaget s theory on
education, he believed in three principles. He believed in discovery learning, which
states that children are
Jazz Music Performance Review Essay
On the evening of October 18th, 2015 I attended the live Jazz music performance
of Nilson Matta s Brazilian Voyage . The performance was held at Dizzy s Club
Coca Cola, located in the Jazz Lincoln Center, in New York City. Nilson Matta is a
Brazilian bassist, composer, and producer. Matta is considered to be one of the
greatest bass musicians in the world, and has earned great reputation for his unique
sounds (Nilson). The staff members were very welcoming, and were all dressed in
black attire. The venue had dim lighting, and each table had a lighted candle; which
created a nice romantic and intimate atmosphere. Behind the stage, there is a
spectacular scene that overlooks Central Park, and the city. At the beginning of the
performance, Nilson Matta, and three other musicians walked up on stage, and
introduced themselves. The musicians were, Mauricio Zottarelli (drummist), Craig
Handy (saxophonist/flautist), Helen Sung (pianist), and of course Nilson Matta
(bassist). Matta commenced the performance with a piece called Para Ti (For You),
which he dedicated to Rio de Jainero. Matta began to play the double bass instrument.
Although, it was huge in size, the timbre was dull. Following this, the rest of the
musicians played along, creating beautiful harmonies, and Brazilian rhythms. The
sounds of each instrument were clear in this piece, but the unique sound of the
saxophone played by Handy, stood out the most. Helen Sung, also played the piano
with great intensity and passion. She... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

able to embrace the beauty of each sound is truly out of this

What is the Space Shuttle? The Space Shuttle was a somewhat reusable low Earth

Administration (NASA). Its official project name was Space Transportation System
(STS), taken from a 1969 arrangement for an arrangement of reusable shuttle of
which it was the main thing financed for development. The first of four orbital
experimental runs happened in 1981, prompting operational flights starting in 1982.
They were utilized on a sum of 135 missions from 1981 to 2011, propelled from the
Kennedy Space Center (KSC) in Florida. Operational missions dispatched various
satellites, interplanetary tests, and the Hubble Space Telescope (HST); led science
tests in circle; and partook in development and overhauling of the International Space

A Brief Note On Oxycontin Pills Essay
One day, I came home from the local pharmacy with Dusty s medication,
specifically oxycontin pills. Just after I closed the front door, I saw Vinyl put a
blanket over him, then tucking an icepack beneath it to help keep his temperate
cooler. Hey, I said. How d he doing?
He s holding in there, Vinyl said, mustering a smile.
I walked over to her, kissed her on the cheek. I have his medication, I said, placing
the white paper bag on the coffee table. How are you doing, Vinyl? You haven t been
to bed in days. Maybe you should get some rest with me tonight.
Dusty dragged his head off his pillow. I ve been telling her that for the past few days
now, but she won t move an inch.
I looked at Vinyl, smiled. It s okay. Take as much time as you need with him, Vinyl.
I understand. You know where to find me if you ever need me. I caressed her cheek

and Dusty was lying on the couch watching us play intensely; he would sometimes

Disadvantages Of Foreign Parties

The Advantages and Disadvantages of Working Relationships Between Foreign
Parties
Throughout history, foreign parties have collaborated to reach a common goal
however, there can be infinite problems that arise when working with parties of
conflicted interest. There are many advantages and disadvantages to when working
with foreign parties, however, the main three are credentials and experience,
economical growth, the effects of the exploration. Christopher Columbus a famed
sailor and explorer during his time, born in the Republic of Genoa in 1451 or what is
now Italy, accomplished many voyages that promoted his standing as an explorer.
Columbus s Four transatlantic voyages paved the way for the age European
Exploration which occurred in the fifteenth Century. Although Columbus originated
from Italian origins, his voyages were funded by the United Spanish Monarchy. King
Ferdinand of Aragon and Queen Isabella of Castile reigned over the land that would
become Spain. Their union , in 1469, aided the creation of a unified Spain.
Columbus s dedication to his career and knowledge about his goal made him an
appealing candidate for the exploration of what they believed to be the West
Indies.Columbus s strong persistence and knowledge made him well versed in the
art of exploration. Columbus s grand idea would lead him to sail straight across the
transatlantic ocean to the West Indies, however this had yet to be done before. To

The Charge Of The Light Brigade Is Not A True War Story...
According to the Freytag s pyramid, a story must contain five parts: exposition,
rising action, climax, falling action, and resolution. All throughout my life I ve
held these as irrevocable characteristics of a story; more in particular, that all
stories must have a resolution. However, reading Tim O Brian s How to Tell a
True War Story has challenged this notion. O Brian argues that a true story a war
story, in particular doesn t necessarily have a satisfying resolution or a moral. War
is too complex to render in simple terms; a true war story is neither about bravery
nor heroism. Thus, based on these criteria, I d argue that Lord AlfredTennyson s
piece, The Charge of the Light Brigade, is not a true war story. First of all, I d like to
make it clear: by stating that this piece is not a true war story I do not intend to
undermine the poem or the author, nor mislabel them as chauvinistic. The Charge of
the Light Brigade is, undoubtedly, an anti war poem. That becomes self evident after
the first read. But if the reader applies the biographical strategies to learn more about
the author s life and thus, understand his work more fully, the reader might find
useful to know that Lord Tennyson never actually fought in the Crimean warhimself.
In fact, he was the oxymoron of a wardog; he was the Poet Laureate of the United
Kingdom whose works reflect his anti war posture. Lord Tennyson was an academic,
not a fighter. He learned about the heavy losses the Light Cavalry

The Dominican War of Independence of 1844 was led by twenty year old Juan

many people and kept their actions very secret to avoid detection by any Haitian

name to La Filantropica or The Philanthropic. The group continued to make trouble
for the Haitians. In 1843 the group had a break as it worked with a liberal Haitian

February 27, 1844, Dominican rebels seized the Fortaleza Ozama in Santo Domingo.
Within days all Haitian officials left Santo Domingo. The war continued and the
Dominican Republic continued to defend against Haitian attacks. The Republic went

Argumentative Essay On The Emoji Movie
Introduction: In the past few weeks there has been great backlash on a movie that
had been released called The Emoji Movie . Megan Garber, a staff writer at The
Atlantic situated in Washington releases an article on why The Emoji movie fails.
The goal I want to achieve by writing this essay is to identify how the author builds
the argument of the topic using different rhetorical strategies and check if the
author established solid credible evidence to validate the arguments she made.
Summary and Description of Rhetorical Situation: The article being discussed was
released on August 4,2017 shortly after the release of the movie on July 28, 2017.
Megan writes this text to explain the problems with the movie and later on
supporting her arguments by using related examples and statistics that line up
with the points she mentions in her article. The reason she uses the Internet as her
platform is to attract young readers who are users of emojis and technology and
may have watched The Emoji Movie . Firstly, she begins by explaining how the
producers of movies such as Toy Story and The Lego Movie take inanimate objects
and discovers a parallel world to ours and injects a story into them. On the other
hand, The Emoji Movie attempts to create a story line; however, it ends up
becoming a platform for promoting applications used by the majority of people in
this generation. This dissatisfaction is shown statistically by the ratings on Rotten
Tomatoes, which are currently at a 0% approval rate and an overall low score of
7%. Furthermore, Megan shows how emojis are not just doodles rather tools that
are used for means of communication, as it is a universal way for people to interact
with each other. Emojis are said to affect the way people interact in day to day
communication and how effective people connect. The text mentions that some
people believed that the reason for The Emoji Movies failure was due to its conflict
with the book The Emoji Code written by Vyvyan Evans. The Emoji Code talks
about the reasons that emojis have become so famous by analyzing certain aspects
such as the study of language, the study of mind and behavior and the study of
learning and thought. It is stated that The Emoji Code
Henry Dumas Building On The Tradition
United Through Love and Family
Unit five dealt with building on The Tradition. This unit explains how building
resilience and self esteem was very important for the continued success of Afro
Americans from the 1970 s to present. Examples of such included writings from
Henry Dumas, Gwendolyn Brooks, and Journal of Negro Education.
Henry Dumas wrote a poem called Valentines . In this poem the relationship between
this couple showed resilience for the continued success of Afro Americans because
the person in this poem is stressing a love that shows empathy. He says Forgive me
if I have not sent you but I thought you knew that you already have my heart . He
also goes on to say Here take the space where my heart goes I give that to you too .
This last statement verifies the resilience that he has on the relationship. If the writer
of this poem had not applied resilience to his relationship this poem would have
ended in a separation, however this was not the case and the intended reader of the
poem felt suffice enough to continue on with the relationship. ... Show more content

The couple referred to in this poem has built a great deal of self esteem. They
continue to do what they do for a very long time. The fact that they eat beans is very
humbling. There is no support in this poem that claims them as vegetarians, therefore
they are eating beans because of economics reasons, with no complaints to each other.
The two have built self esteem amongst themselves as stated two who have lived their
day, but keep on putting on their clothes and putting things
Doping Testing And Doping Tests
Doping dates back to ancient Greek where athletes took special diets to make
themselves stronger. In the 19th Century, substances such as caffeine, alcohol and
cocaine were used to enhance performance among long distance athletes. In 1904,
for example, Thomas Hicks won the marathon by taking raw eggs, doses of brandy
administered during the race and injections of strychnine. By the year 1920s, people
realized that restrictions had to be created regarding the use of drugs in sports. In
1928, IAAF was the first sports federation to ban doping fir the use of stimulating
substances. In 1930, the problem became worse because of the introduction of
synthetic hormones, and the IAAF lacked the proper equipment to detect doping of
such kinds. By 1960, doping was a big issue because of the death of an athlete Knud
Jensen during the Olympics games in Mexico. An autopsy revealed the presence of
amphetamine a performance enhancement drug.
In 1966, FIFA and Cycling were the first sports to introduce doping tests in their
world championships. The International Olympics Committee followed suit the
following year, and it tested athletes in the 1968 Olympic Games. By the year 1999,
the IOC convened the first World Conference on Doping in Sports, which lead to the
formation of the World Anti Doping Agency(WADA) on November of the same year.
By 200, the fight against the use of EPO was ongoing and tests were undertaken
during the Sydney Olympics. Currently, more research is undertaken
Hunting And Trapping Research Paper
I strongly believe that wolf hunting and trapping is beneficial to the Minnesota
ecosystem for these reasons. Wolves take up lots of space, they have no natural
predators to kill the weak and sick, and their growth will hurt the ecosystem. With
these details I will prove that the wolf hunt is something good to keep in Minnesota.
Wolves in Minnesota take up lots of space that could be used for other purposes.
Current populations of wolves in Minnesota are at about 2,423 wolves. A single
wolf needs about ten square miles to hunt and live. If every wolf gets exactly ten
miles of space, that would be 24,230 square miles of space, or the area of West
Virginia. That area is similar to about one fourth of the area of Minnesota. If we ...

If we don t hunt wolves, how will we get rid of the sick or weak wolves. If a sick
wolf were to die in a stream, the disease spreads to the water and all of the plants
and animals that need that water to survive. If some grass were to take some water
for nutrients, and gets the disease, the grass will either die, or a deer will eat it. If a
deer were to eat the grass and die, that brings down the deer population, making the
hunting season impossible. Without hunting, some people would lose their jobs, if
they worked at a store that sells hunting equipment. If we could hunt wolves, we
could prevent the spread of disease throughout the ecosystem of Minnesota.
The growing number of wolves will hurt the ecosystem if they are not hunted. If they
are not hunted, they will start to exponentially grow in population. Wolves are eating
a very large amount of moose, and decreasing the population by almost ten percent.
Wolves will also eat livestock, which would mean less supply, but the demand would
stay the same. If people want meat, and the farmers don t have enough, they will have
to raise the price, which throws off the whole economy.
In conclusion, wolves should be hunted because they take up lots of space, could hurt
the ecosystem, and could greatly affect the economy. I believe that we should hunt
wolves in the state of Minnesota. I think that the wolf hunt should be legal, even if
we only take out

1.Which contract manufacturing option has the most attractive financial benefits?
Financially I would say Yangtze would be the most attractive. You have the ability to
produce a very minimal order volume (compared to competitors) at significantly less
cost. To test the market in the early stages this would be the cheapest option. If the
product fails less costs would have been incurred.
2.What are the complications and benefits associated with entering into a contract to

A full scale production would save them 4 cents per unit cost. The initial costs will be
higher which makes Yangtze seem like a better option but for the longevity of the
product it is more viable to go with King. Yangtze suffers from the high shipping
cost and the damage to their product. The R D is expensive with King but it is
because they are good at what they do.
4.Do Joyce and Cornuke need to raise more money? Should they?
So far they have raised $100000. Accounting for R D, manufacturing costs,
distribution costs, defects, returns and breakage cost. This means COGS per unit is
$2.2906, with a minimum order of 100000 units. The entrepreneurs need to raise a
minimum of $130,000.
5.How should they structure the deal with the contract manufacturer? Should they try
to own the formula?
There should be some guarantees in regards to the lead time, 8 weeks is the lowest
amongst competitors. If King Custom is unable to meet their obligations they should
be held accountable. If the product is successful then Brandon and Tim should be
able to project their sales figures and hopefully show the growth to 1 million units for
King.
6.Should Joyce and Cornuke pursue medicated product status for Dry Goods?
Absolutely! It gives them a competitive advantage and another marketing tool. To the
consumer this could be the difference between the sale.

College Education Gap Analysis
Since the beginning of American history, there has always been a gap in achievement
between the Black and minority community versus their counterparts, the Whites.
The difference between the two groups was that of opportunities. Minorities in the
United States were initially deprived of all chances at prosperity, and Whites were
born into a societal prosperity; an idea that Beverly Tatum calls White Privilege.
While it is important to acknowledge that the educational gap between African
American and White students has diminished in regards to college enrollment, it is
important to evaluate the differences between what affects certain races in attendance
and completion of college. The factors that will be considered are family dynamics,

American students have less contact with faculty, study less, are less involved with

peers or all African American students. Does a student s socioeconomic status
correlate with the relationships they share with their professors and peers with

Shrek Argumentative Essay
Shrek is the hero of my story. At the beginning of the story he is located at his
home. He lives there alone and he doesn t want any company, at all. Alot of other
animals come to his home invading his privacy and that is where he will receive a
call to adventure. The call to adventure was going to see Lord Farquaad. Lord
Farquaad is the person that the animals were trying to escape from, and that s why
they went to Shreks home.
He accepts the call to adventure immediately, because he wanted to get all the
other animals to leave. That s is also what motivated him to accept the call. Donkey
helps him on his journey, because he knew where Lord Farquaad was located and
shrek didn t. Shrek didn t want Donkey to show him the way. Shrek didn t like
Donkey because he couldn t be quiet. None of the other animals wanted to tell him
where Lord Farquaad was because they were scared.

relation is doomed, because they are from two different worlds. That is the point

them. Ogre called Lord Farquaad the next morning, because he wanted for them to
take the princess so he could go back to his normal life.
Donkey begins to battle with himself mentally and with a close friend which is
Fiona. He wanted for Shrek and Fiona, but he didn t want to betray Fiona by telling
Shrek her secret. He didn t want to tell Shrek that they actually weren t talking about
her. She was talking about herself that way and he overheard everything that was

because she was mad at Shrek and wanted to upset
My Name Andreana Research Paper
I am as complex as the next person. Everything, even my name, Andreana, holds a
meaning. Sure, people know some things about me, although there are none that
know me truly. I have struggled and thrived, gained hobbies and lost interest. Never
has my life been at a standstill. Andreana. The name given to me at birth, the one to
stay with me until my death. My father, Andre, gave me this name to somehow
incorporate himself into me. He pretty much combined his name and Ana, resulting
with what is now my name. Not everyone is able to pronounce it correctly; never
had I heard someone say it correctly on the first try without my aid. My grandpa in
particular thought it was too complex, settling on calling me Ana instead. In addition,
my name also means strong and manly, of which I can mostly agree with. I was
never one for feminine things. All in all, I am satisfied with my name.... Show more

Internet Of Things Essay
The Internet of Things, or the IoT is envisioned as a ubiquitous society wherein
people and devices (referred to as Things ) are connected in a riveting networked
computing environment viz. Internet , with the connected Things providing utility to
people/enterprises through various intelligent commercial and social services. Large
chunks of data is generated for devices to communicate with each other to facilitate
the InternetOf Things. Data transfer over the Internet is usually a powerhungry
process. With ever growing necessity of utilizing energy in a more efficient way it
is not only important to communicate data at a faster rate but also do so in a very
low energy consuming method. This report employs one such method which
utilizes the fact that most of the data communicated by the IoT devices processes
and services is irregular and generally concentrated over a short duration of time.
This method focuses on adapting the duty cycle of these processes/devices so that
they are asleep during large periods of inactivity. The report also investigates the
Low power consumption system thus obtained as a standalone system running on the
energy provided by a Energy Harvestor(PV CELL) .Cost considerations limit the
size of the energy harvestor used which affects the power provided by it ,thus the
system is so designed such that the energy harvestor is able to run the system during
sleep while energy storing elements power the system during its active cycle. This

Achinese Contribution
Ancient China was extremely advanced and many of its discoveries are still in use
today s world. Perhaps the Chinese has contributed more to the advancement of
human kind than any other ancient culture. They have contributed to our world
civilization s achievements in the fields of agriculture, shipping, astronomy, printing,
oil, martial arts, ammunition and mathematics. Ancient Chinese inventions such as
gunpowder, silk, paper, printing, tea, wheel barrow, iron plows, deep drilling,
porcelain, toilet paper and the compass were and still are important pieces of
Chinese and global life. These inventions were major blocks in the building of the
world as we know today. The four main innovations which I consider to be essential

The instrument resembled a spoon which when placed on a plate on the ground, the
handle points to the south. This enabled the compass to be used for sea navigation
for the first time ( The Compass , 2011). Through the years, the use of the compass
has evolved dramatically. Without compass we would be lost. Besides the continued
use in hiking and boating, the compass is now used in vehicles. GPS systems Global
Positioning Systems in vehicles are just re modulated compasses. Of course, its
primary use is still navigation. It is intriguing to reflect on the fact that an item
invented century ago is still useful in modern life.
The one invention that I cannot live without is paper. Paper has evolved over the
years from just a writing surface to a material that touches nearly every aspect of
our lives. Throughout the day, each and every one of us is in permanent contact
with paper. Paper has given me knowledge to communicate with the world around
me through books. It is true modern technologies like computer and internet has
made it easy to learn, teach and spread knowledge much faster. But it did not
subordinate the usage of paper in our lives. Our money, cheeks, deeds, diploma,
birth certificate, marriage license, and passport all documents which govern our
lives, are made of paper. We use paper as package materials as well as

e.Drink the ginger tea for several times a day until your symptoms have been
alleviated and the laryngitis is treated.
Using ginger during pregnancy is not yet fully established as safe since there are
some controversies which involve miscarriage in the 12th week of pregnancy as well
as the possibility that it can affect fetal sex hormones. People who are breastfeeding,
have bleeding disorders, heart conditions and diabetes must avoid using ginger.

Analysis Of The Rooster Coop, By Aravind Adiga
Indo Australian writer, Aravind Adiga discusses the obstacles in India that result
from poverty and corruption. Throughout the novel, Adiga castigates the hardship and
anguish endured by the lower class while reflecting how a brave and remorseless
Indian man, Balram battles through the corrupt system in India. Adiga demonstrates
the adversity and struggles that are rooted from poverty and corruption. While Adiga
spent his time in India, loitering about train stations, or bus strands, or servants
quarters and slums he would listen to the people around him and realized that there
were tons of unheard voices that filled the streets of India that echoed a continuous
murmur or growl beneath middle class life (Bookbrowse). Through Adiga s

Adiga uses a strong metaphor to help illustrate the challenges low income people
face when desperately trying to break out of the poverty bubble. The Rooster Coop
represents the poverty and oppression that the poor face. The roosters watch one
another get slaughtered and struggle with being able to escape the coop. Similar to
the roosters, India s lower class often witness each other within the same social
class struggle to escape from the miserable life style but often do not even try or
able to escape due to many obstacles that could hold one down from being
successful: the roosters in the coop smell the blood from above. They see the
organs of their brothers...they know they re next. Yet they do not try to get out of
the copp. The very same thing is done with human beings in this country (

for bettering himself economically. Going against morals and experiencing life
changing obstacles reflect what it is like to take risks in order to breakout from a

Film Review Of The First Time I Went At College
The first time I went to college, I was a film major. I took a course that revolved
around the evolution of movies from the first film ever made to the most recent. The
instructor did little to hide her views on misogyny dominating the film industry.
Since that class, I have been unable to shake her voice from my head while I watch
even the most seemingly harmless of movies. If I had stayed in the filmindustry, I
would have tried to change what I inevitably see in mainstream Hollywood movies
time and time again films that fail the Bechdel test, a gross underrepresentation of
women both in front of and behind the camera, and the blatant use of women as
mere sexual objects in so many blockbuster movies. Looking at some popular films
in the last few years provides a rollercoaster of waxing and waning hope for whether
or not women are finding success in meaningful roles or continuing to serve as
objects to be ogled.
The Bechdel test was first made popular in Alison Bechdel s comic strip Dykes To
Watch Out For in a 1985 strip titled The Rule. In the short cartoon a woman asks her
girlfriend if she wants to see a movie. The girlfriend replies, telling her she only sees
movies that pass the rule does it feature at least two women, with names, that talk to
each other about something other than a man. From there the rule blossomed into a
general measuring tool for the presence of women in fictional films. I remember
sitting in my film class watching a YouTube video that

relocated to London, U.K when he received a research fellowship to the University
College London in 1927. He was awarded with a Doctorate in Science from the

Charles Goodeve s electrochemical achievements during the war were not the only
successes he had in the scientific field. Specifically, he made significant observations
regarding the absorption spectra. He established the band spectra for unstable
molecules and the beginning point of diffuse or continuous absorption (which led to
dissociation). Though the work was difficult to accurately complete during the time
period, his measurements are still accepted today. Goodeve, captivated by the
volatility of unstable molecules and compounds, went on to research the severely
understudied oxides of chlorine, and later, the oxides of sulfur. His studies included
determining the heats of dissociation of Cl2O and ClO2 in a calorimeter and
measuring vapour pressure. His research on oxides of sulfur focused on the
oxidation of sulphurous acid solutions, and on the formation of sulphuric acid mists
from water vapour and sulphur trioxide. Though a mechanism for removal of this
mist was devised in the lab, it was not realistically applicable to

gasoline is used, Frank lights up his cigar and throws the lighter on the victim. As
he begins to burn in great PAIN frank begins to shoot him repeatedly. It s important

Conquest of Mexico Essay
Conquest of Mexico
In 1519 HernГЎn CortГ©s led a couple hundred other Spaniards inland to the
impressive Empire of the Mexica ruled by the Great Montezuma. Many historians
today tell how quickly and almost effortlessly these Spaniards conquered the
Empire. They paint an image of ignorant, helpless Indians practically giving up their
land out of fear of this group because certainly the Spaniards must be gods since
they have powerful weapons and strange animals. We know neither CortГ©s nor any
of his men were gods, of course, but what was it that allowed CortГ©s to prevail over
the inhabitants of the land?

Finding additional men for the journey proved uncomplicated. Word spread quickly
about the attainable riches to be had in the new land; so 240 men were quickly put
together for the mission. (DГaz)
Using CГіrdova and his crew s experience in Champoton, Grijalva approached the
land carefully anchoring the ships one league from shore. The Indians, puffed up
from their previous victory over the Spaniards, waited on shore for the party to
land. Supplying themselves with crossbows and guns, a portion of the soldiers
embarked toward shore. The Indians volleyed arrows with such constancy, more
than half the men were wounded prior to landing. However, upon landing, the
Spaniards were able to drive the Indians back to the swamps because of their use of
good swordplay, the crossbows, and the guns. (DГaz)
The Indians stayed to the swamps and Grijalva and his men advanced to the town.
There they found masonry buildings used to make sacrifices to their idols. They
explored the surroundings for three days but found nothing of value to take. They
returned to their ships and traveled along to Rio de Tabasco. (DГaz)
At Rio de Tabasco they stumbled on a strait. Being too shallow to allow the ships
passage, a party embarked on their small boats to investigate. In the woods along the
strait, the men could hear the locals preparing stockades and barriers in preparation
for a fight with the
Thomas Aquinas Fourth Argument
While quite a bit of Aquinas framework is worried about uncommon disclosure the
principle of the Incarnation of God s Word in Jesus Christ the Five Ways are cases of
characteristic religious philosophy (Vidali, 2017). The arguments are known as
argument from motion, argument from efficient cause, argument from necessary
being, argument from gradations of goodness, and argument from design (Lander
University, 2012). The argument that has caught my attention and goes with my
beliefs is the argument from gradations of goodness. Aquinas fourth argument is that
from degrees of goodness. Everything display more noteworthy or lesser degrees of
goodness. There must subsequently exist an incomparable flawlessness that every
blemished being approach yet miss the mark concerning.... Show more content on

To summarize this argument there are diverse degrees of goodness in various things,
there are distinctive degrees of being in various things the all the more being, the
more goodness, for there to be degrees of being by any stretch of the imagination,
there must be something which has being in the most elevated degree, in this way, a
being in the Highest Degree or Perfect Being exists (Lander University, 2012).
Thomas contends that to clarify the presence of this degree in being, there must be
something which is uttermost being (Thomas Aquinas: The Fourth Way, 2013). This
is obviously Aristotle s God, a being that is unadulterated fact. This being totally
needs privation and probability, and is as such impeccable in its being (Thomas
Aquinas: The Fourth Way, 2013). I do believe God is a flawless God with an
outstanding and overflowing amount of goodness. God is a perfect
Summary Of Howard Nemerov s The Vacuum
Some say losing someone you have a deep love for is equivalent to having the
human heart physically removed from the body without anesthesia. It is extremely
difficult to put the exact feeling into words because there are too many words that do
not even begin to grasp it; agonizing, calamitous, distressing, poignant cannot even
come close to explain it. However, Howard Nemerovattempted the trying task and
created the poem The Vacuum in 1955. This poem explained deathin a way that all of
us endeavor to. The mood, figurative speech, and setting of the poem argues that
death is not only hard for the person dying, but that it is harder for those who are
left behind. Dictionary.com has the word isolation defined as, the complete
separation from others of a person suffering (insert citation here). Nemerov could
not explain it better as he set the mood of the poem by writing the speaker s
perspective in lines 1 2: The house is so quiet now the vacuum cleaner sulks in the
corner closet . The speaker obviously cut themselves off from outside contact for a
long period of time. Nemerov references back and forth in this quote because just as
the vacuum sits alone in the closet, the speaker is alone in the house. Dust is
collecting and there is old filth everywhere causing an environment of darkness and
grief. A modern reader can relate to this section because this sadness is an
unavoidable experience in life and that life itself is dirty and impure. Personification is

  • 2. Barack Obama s Presidential Run I recently stumbled upon a short video published by The New York Times in 2008 during the pinnacle of Barack Obama s presidential run. This video, entitles Being Multiracial in America, featured a group of young, mixed race College students elated that the United States would potentially elect a man that grew up in a blended culture comparable to their own. There was this conspicuous desire shared among these students to live in a society understanding of the intricacies of one s racial identity. None of these students wished to identify themselves as only one of their races. They wanted to eliminate this illusion of racial choice. To these young people, one person shouldn t choose what sole racethey are because they exist within this category of both . The complexity of their own genetic makeup was something they felt would be eradicated by aligning themselves with only a percentage of themselves. Seeing a man run for president who made it known to the country that his mother was White and his father was Black overjoyed these individuals. There was an astounding sense of hope that Barack Obama provided for this group. Their prospect was that once the people of this nation understood that mixed raced individuals can acknowledge themselves as such, we would be on our way to eradicating this intense racial divide, leading to so much violence and anger, that exists within our country. Eight years later, this country is now at the brink of saying farewell to Obama.
  • 3. Blame Home Inspector Essay Points to Consider Before You Blame the Home Inspector When you are hunting for a home, hiring a home inspector is critical. Home inspections provide important information for home buyers. However, many property owners are somewhat misguided in terms of what they should expect from a home inspector. Before you blame your inspector for a perceived oversight, you may want to explore the topic a bit further. The Current State of a Property It is important to remember that when an inspector examines a home, only the current state of the home can truly be assessed. It is not possible to view a home and suddenly be aware of all of the problems that may have been addressed in the past. Additionally, even the most astute professional cannot be expected to predict the issues that could manifest in the future. Unfortunately, numerous property buyers have unrealistic expectations when using inspectors. Code Determination Another fallacy that some homeowners believe is that their inspectors will assess the code qualifications of their homes. This can lead to confusion, frustration, and blame on the part of a property owner. If you have recently purchased a home after having it inspected, you should ... Your inspector should be able to provide you with a copy of the standards before an inspection takes place. You should also be provided with a pre inspection report and a detailed inspection report. Lenders will charge higher interest rates than for conventional mortgages as they seek to compensate for carrying higher risk). Banks became increasingly worried about both the value of their own mortgage books and particularly the value of the mortgage securitised investments they had bought from other institutions As a result they became reluctant to lend to other banks in the short term money markets. This crisis of confidence led to major liquidity problems for many banks and insurance companies worldwide. Liquidity means the ability of institutions, including banks, to meet their short term obligations including repayment of short term loans. The oil price eventually peaked at $147 per barrel in mid 2008. How did the crisis develop during 2008? The Bank of England had to provide financial support to the Northern Rock Building Society in the latter part of 2007, to prevent a run on the society s cash by depositors. It became necessary to formally nationalise Northern Rock in February 2008 (i.e. the Government became its major shareholder, having used taxpayers money to support it). Early in 2008 a major US investment bank, Bear Stearns, had to be rescued by J.P. Morgan with US Government support. • 5. An Envelope Research Paper Last years Christmas was the best by far. I got a few good things but the best one was in an envelope. In the envelope were concert tickets to see Kip Moore and Chase Bryant. I had to wait a month or so to see the concert because it was in February. When it became the day of the concert is was filled with joy and was so exited. The concert was at Hartman Arena, and when we got there there was a big truck that had a big picture of Kip Moore on it so, my mom took a picture of me in front of it. We didn t wait long to get in and there wasn t that many people but, there were quite a few. My mom had bought good sets we weren t standing in the crowd, but we were sitting a few rows up from the front sets. We sat down and waited before we got up
  • 6. Differences between Protein Shake and Protein Steak From the moment of its creation, protein powder has been engulfed in a tornado of controversy. Doctors, scientists, and athletes have debated on whether or not it should be used for years. Protein provides the building blocks for all cells and membranes, hormones and various growth factors. Elena Voropay, a writer for Iron Man Magazine, says Proteinis found literally everywhere in your system: there is protein in your muscle tissues, your heart, in the enzymes that digest your food, in your skin cells and even within your blood (Voropay 1). Protein in its powdered form is also much lighter than a full meal. This comes into play when the protein shake is taken as a pre workout. In that case, it is much better to eat a lighter shake before a HIT or high intensity training regimen, otherwise the contents of your meal may end up on the gym floor instead of being absorbed for nutrients. It is important to choose a good, healthy protein powder because many companies aren t honest with their product labels since their products aren t regulated by the Food and Drug Administration. Nutrilite, a company who specializes in supplements and nutrition, is a company that is totally honest about their labels. Nutrilite created the first multi vitamin well over fifty years ago. Their products are pure and because they are organic, are considered whole food. This means that they are regulated by the Food and Drug Administration. Also, they are the only one endorsed by the National Collegiate Athlete Association (NCAA). Some negatives when looking at powdered Protein products are that first and foremost, they lack the supplemental nutrients that whole foods have to offer. For example, beef is high in iron, while salmon is loaded with healthy fats. Yogurt provides calcium, and whole wheat supplies B vitamins. Dr. Mercola, a chiropractor, healthy specialist and author, says that the whey protein isolates are devoid of nutritional

John A. Hannah Education has always been and continues to be one of the most important needs of mankind. It helps man indoctrinate values and apply the technical know how in real life situations. Of late, there has been an increasing trend towards privatisation of higher education in India. • 8. The Impressionist Movement In Art In the 19th century, there was an artistic transition from realism to a new form called impressionism. This change originated in France, as the world underwent a transition to industrialization. The impressionist was able to understand how light and color operate hand in hand in a painting. Instead of seeing an image as a whole work, impressionist would see smaller images making up the entire piece. The style was primarily made of the use of intense colors, open composition, light and movement and brush strokes. They were mainly concerned with producing visual reality in their paintings in terms of fleeting effects of color and light. The impressionist was given their name by an artist named Claude Monet. He created a unique piece entitled Impression: Sunrise that helped define the impressionist movement in art. The group of artist that made up this group was small, and their ideas were often criticized. Following the impressionist, was the post impressionist period. This group of artists felt that the impressionists were neglecting too many traditional elements. Post impressionist art was a reaction against impressionism. The primary characteristic of the impressionism was the focus of sense of immediacy, putting emphasize on the quality change, movement appearance, commonly the angle of visualization, the total effect instead of visual strokes of the brush and the details. Impressionist aimed at displaying the nature instantly. In essence, they wanted to portray the

Beowulf (G), the hero, is able to identify Grendel (G) s pattern and destroy him. Since mankind could only defeat Grendel (G) by creating a hero more powerful than him, the hero represents a kind of process that ultimately creates a greater monster. Therefore, using these archetypes, Gardner and the Beowulf poet use the same story to illuminate the difference between ancient and modern society; Beowulf (AS) is the proper representative of the Anglo Saxon society, and Grendel (G) is the proper representative of the modern world. Grendel s role remains the same in both books; the role of a monster that embodies humanity s fears, a creature that human society creates. Grendel (AS) exists as a mindless perversion of nature. He represents one branch of the human society created by God that is distorted by evil. However Grendel (G) exists as just another aspect of nature, outside of human society; until he is transformed by his contact with mankind, the concept of monster does not apply to Grendel (G.) In viewing the monstrous body as a metaphor for the cultural body...beasts, demons, freaks, and fiends are symbolic expressions of cultural unease that pervades a society and shapes its collective behavior. This is the reason for consideration when purchasing a home; these factors are necessary to your dream of owning a home. But when these factors are what they are right now, you can see why many might find a purchase like a home is out of reach with the decreased value of the dollar and a struggling economy. If Americans can start doing things a little different, like consuming less and finding ways to innovate new ideas and more efficient ways to do more, we can then find a solution to these failures in our economy. For me at this time in life I see buying a home a good thing and a decision I am ready to commit too. My reasoning is the location of where I am going to buy. The Architectural Feat Of The Palace Of Knossos The Architectural Feat of the Palace of Knossos The Minoan civilization that flourished on the island of Crete is best known for their recognizable architecture and art which came about during the Bronze age. The center for administration and economic growth for the island of Crete was confined within the Minoan Palace of Knossos. Unfortunately, the extravagant beauty of the palace was only recently discovered when British Archaeologist, Arthur Evans, starting excavated the site in 1900. Evans was the first to call the ancient inhabitants of Crete Minoans. The complexity and the grandeur of the palace helps to identify that Knossos was at one point in history the capital of Crete (Mark, 2010). The objective of Daedalus plan was to make the palace so complicated finding one s way out would be an impossible task (Sakoulas). Other versions of the story state that Daedalus designed the labyrinth, a maze like structure, with a double bladed ax which contained the Minotaur, a half man half bull figure (Mark, 2010). This trend started when the government decided to transition into a modern, smart, and stable network. To achieve this, more generating plants were built to deliver more high quality electricity to consumers. Following these changes, there was a shift towards using green energy, which involved development of solar panels and wind systems. CJ must stand a certain distance, measured by a piece of tape, from a bucket. The object is to throw the three balls into the bucket. This tests the development of arm motion and coordination. Finally, the last obstacle deals with conservation. Conservation is the idea that physical characteristics of objects remain the same when their outward appearance changes. This comes from Piaget s preoperational stage. We had two glass filled with the same amount of liquid. CJ was asked if the two glass had the same amount. Next we poured one glass of liquid into a bowl, and asked if they had the same amount or if one had more. Of course CJ could not answer this question. In early childhood, children cannot conserve. All of the cognitive activities deal with Piaget s theory. In early childhood, children move from the sensorimotor to the preoperational stage. During this stage there is a drastic increase in representational, or symbolic activity. In Piaget s theory on education, he believed in three principles. He believed in discovery learning, which states that children are

  • 33. The Charge Of The Light Brigade Is Not A True War Story... According to the Freytag s pyramid, a story must contain five parts: exposition, rising action, climax, falling action, and resolution. All throughout my life I ve held these as irrevocable characteristics of a story; more in particular, that all stories must have a resolution. However, reading Tim O Brian s How to Tell a True War Story has challenged this notion. O Brian argues that a true story a war story, in particular doesn t necessarily have a satisfying resolution or a moral. War is too complex to render in simple terms; a true war story is neither about bravery nor heroism. Thus, based on these criteria, I d argue that Lord AlfredTennyson s piece, The Charge of the Light Brigade, is not a true war story. First of all, I d like to make it clear: by stating that this piece is not a true war story I do not intend to undermine the poem or the author, nor mislabel them as chauvinistic. The Charge of the Light Brigade is, undoubtedly, an anti war poem. That becomes self evident after the first read. But if the reader applies the biographical strategies to learn more about the author s life and thus, understand his work more fully, the reader might find useful to know that Lord Tennyson never actually fought in the Crimean warhimself. In fact, he was the oxymoron of a wardog; he was the Poet Laureate of the United Kingdom whose works reflect his anti war posture. Lord Tennyson was an academic, not a fighter. He learned about the heavy losses the Light Cavalry

They recruited many people and kept their actions very secret to avoid detection by any Haitian authorities. In 1843 the group had a break as it worked with a liberal Haitian party they were able to overthrow the president. Their success continued and on February 27, 1844, Dominican rebels seized the Fortaleza Ozama in Santo Domingo. Within days all Haitian officials left Santo Domingo. • 35. Argumentative Essay On The Emoji Movie Introduction: In the past few weeks there has been great backlash on a movie that had been released called The Emoji Movie . Megan Garber, a staff writer at The Atlantic situated in Washington releases an article on why The Emoji movie fails. The goal I want to achieve by writing this essay is to identify how the author builds the argument of the topic using different rhetorical strategies and check if the author established solid credible evidence to validate the arguments she made. Summary and Description of Rhetorical Situation: The article being discussed was released on August 4,2017 shortly after the release of the movie on July 28, 2017. Megan writes this text to explain the problems with the movie and later on supporting her arguments by using related examples and statistics that line up with the points she mentions in her article. The reason she uses the Internet as her platform is to attract young readers who are users of emojis and technology and may have watched The Emoji Movie . Firstly, she begins by explaining how the producers of movies such as Toy Story and The Lego Movie take inanimate objects and discovers a parallel world to ours and injects a story into them. On the other hand, The Emoji Movie attempts to create a story line; however, it ends up becoming a platform for promoting applications used by the majority of people in this generation. This dissatisfaction is shown statistically by the ratings on Rotten Tomatoes, which are currently at a 0% approval rate and an overall low score of 7%. Furthermore, Megan shows how emojis are not just doodles rather tools that are used for means of communication, as it is a universal way for people to interact with each other. Emojis are said to affect the way people interact in day to day communication and how effective people connect. The text mentions that some people believed that the reason for The Emoji Movies failure was due to its conflict with the book The Emoji Code written by Vyvyan Evans. The Emoji Code talks about the reasons that emojis have become so famous by analyzing certain aspects such as the study of language, the study of mind and behavior and the study of learning and thought. It is stated that The Emoji Code

This unit explains how building resilience and self esteem was very important for the continued success of Afro Americans from the 1970 s to present. Examples of such included writings from Henry Dumas, Gwendolyn Brooks, and Journal of Negro Education. Henry Dumas wrote a poem called Valentines . In this poem the relationship between this couple showed resilience for the continued success of Afro Americans because the person in this poem is stressing a love that shows empathy. He says Forgive me if I have not sent you but I thought you knew that you already have my heart . He also goes on to say Here take the space where my heart goes I give that to you too . This last statement verifies the resilience that he has on the relationship. • 37. Doping Testing And Doping Tests Doping dates back to ancient Greek where athletes took special diets to make themselves stronger. In the 19th Century, substances such as caffeine, alcohol and cocaine were used to enhance performance among long distance athletes. In 1904, for example, Thomas Hicks won the marathon by taking raw eggs, doses of brandy administered during the race and injections of strychnine. By the year 1920s, people realized that restrictions had to be created regarding the use of drugs in sports. In 1928, IAAF was the first sports federation to ban doping fir the use of stimulating substances. In 1930, the problem became worse because of the introduction of synthetic hormones, and the IAAF lacked the proper equipment to detect doping of such kinds. By 1960, doping was a big issue because of the death of an athlete Knud Jensen during the Olympics games in Mexico. An autopsy revealed the presence of amphetamine a performance enhancement drug. In 1966, FIFA and Cycling were the first sports to introduce doping tests in their world championships. The International Olympics Committee followed suit the following year, and it tested athletes in the 1968 Olympic Games. By the year 1999, the IOC convened the first World Conference on Doping in Sports, which lead to the formation of the World Anti Doping Agency(WADA) on November of the same year. By 200, the fight against the use of EPO was ongoing and tests were undertaken during the Sydney Olympics. Currently, more research is undertaken
  • 38. Hunting And Trapping Research Paper I strongly believe that wolf hunting and trapping is beneficial to the Minnesota ecosystem for these reasons. Wolves take up lots of space, they have no natural predators to kill the weak and sick, and their growth will hurt the ecosystem. With these details I will prove that the wolf hunt is something good to keep in Minnesota. Wolves in Minnesota take up lots of space that could be used for other purposes. Current populations of wolves in Minnesota are at about 2,423 wolves. A single wolf needs about ten square miles to hunt and live. If every wolf gets exactly ten miles of space, that would be 24,230 square miles of space, or the area of West Virginia. That area is similar to about one fourth of the area of Minnesota. If we ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... If we don t hunt wolves, how will we get rid of the sick or weak wolves. If a sick wolf were to die in a stream, the disease spreads to the water and all of the plants and animals that need that water to survive. If some grass were to take some water for nutrients, and gets the disease, the grass will either die, or a deer will eat it. If a deer were to eat the grass and die, that brings down the deer population, making the hunting season impossible. Without hunting, some people would lose their jobs, if they worked at a store that sells hunting equipment. If we could hunt wolves, we could prevent the spread of disease throughout the ecosystem of Minnesota. The growing number of wolves will hurt the ecosystem if they are not hunted. If they are not hunted, they will start to exponentially grow in population. Wolves are eating a very large amount of moose, and decreasing the population by almost ten percent. Wolves will also eat livestock, which would mean less supply, but the demand would stay the same. If people want meat, and the farmers don t have enough, they will have to raise the price, which throws off the whole economy. In conclusion, wolves should be hunted because they take up lots of space, could hurt the ecosystem, and could greatly affect the economy. I believe that we should hunt wolves in the state of Minnesota. I think that the wolf hunt should be legal, even if we only take out

Finding additional men for the journey proved uncomplicated. Word spread quickly about the attainable riches to be had in the new land; so 240 men were quickly put together for the mission. (DГaz) Using CГіrdova and his crew s experience in Champoton, Grijalva approached the land carefully anchoring the ships one league from shore. The Indians, puffed up from their previous victory over the Spaniards, waited on shore for the party to land. Supplying themselves with crossbows and guns, a portion of the soldiers embarked toward shore. The Indians volleyed arrows with such constancy, more than half the men were wounded prior to landing. However, upon landing, the Spaniards were able to drive the Indians back to the swamps because of their use of good swordplay, the crossbows, and the guns. (DГaz) The Indians stayed to the swamps and Grijalva and his men advanced to the town. There they found masonry buildings used to make sacrifices to their idols. They explored the surroundings for three days but found nothing of value to take. They returned to their ships and traveled along to Rio de Tabasco. Thomas Aquinas Fourth Argument While quite a bit of Aquinas framework is worried about uncommon disclosure the principle of the Incarnation of God s Word in Jesus Christ the Five Ways are cases of characteristic religious philosophy (Vidali, 2017). The mood, figurative speech, and setting of the poem argues that death is not only hard for the person dying, but that it is harder for those who are left behind. Dictionary.com has the word isolation defined as, the complete separation from others of a person suffering (insert citation here). Nemerov could not explain it better as he set the mood of the poem by writing the speaker s perspective in lines 1 2: The house is so quiet now the vacuum cleaner sulks in the corner closet . Nemerov references back and forth in this quote because just as the vacuum sits alone in the closet, the speaker is alone in the house. A modern reader can relate to this section because this sadness is an unavoidable experience in life and that life itself is dirty and impure. Personification is
