impotence, also known as erectile dysfunction (ED). One
advantage Tadacip tablets has over Sildenafil Citrate is its
very long 17.5-hour half-life.
The effect of Generic Tadalafil starts in 30 minutes after
taking the tablet and and continues for up to 36 hours, after
which time there remains approximately 25 percent of the
absorbed dose in the body.

Generic Tadalafil (Tadacip tablets by Cipla)
is used for the treatment of erectile
dysfunction (ED) which is a medical
condition characterized by inability to get or
keep an erection, in adult men.
Tadalafil belongs to a class of medicines
called phosphodiesterase (PDE) inhibitors.
This medicine works to treat erectile
dysfunction by increasing blood flow to the
penis during sexual stimulation.
This increased blood flow can cause an
erection.

➢ Tadacip Tablets should be swallowed whole,
and can be taken with or without food.
➢Starting Dose for Treatment of ED: 10 mg of
Tadacip as needed prior to sexual activity.
➢The dosage may be increased to 20 mg or
decreased to 5 mg based upon efficacy and
tolerability.
➢In case of once daily dosing, 2.5 mg of
Tadacip can be administered once daily,
without regard to timing of sexual activity. The
dosage may be increased to 5 mg based upon
efficacy and tolerability.

erectile function compared to placebo up to 36
hours after taking the dose.
➢This medicine cannot be taken more than
once in any 24 hour period. i.e. At least 24
hours have to pass before taking your next
dose.

to be stored at controlled room
temperature i.e. from 20°C to 25°C (68°F
to 77°F) with excursions permitted
between 15° to 30°C (59° to 86°F).

Before starting any treatment for erectile dysfunction
with Tadacip tablets, Patients should remember that
they should not use Tadacip if sex is inadvisable due
to cardiovascular status.
Patients should stop Tadacip and seek medical
attention in case a sudden loss of vision occurs in one
or both eyes, which could be a sign of Non Arteritic
Ischemic Optic Neuropathy (NAION).
Visual defects and cases of NAION have been
reported in connection with the intake of Tadacip
(Generic Tadalafil) and other PDE5 inhibitors with an
increased risk of NAION in patients with history of
NAION .

Use of Generic Tadalafil with alpha
blockers, antihypertensives or
substantial amounts of alcohol (5 units or
more) may lead to hypotension.
Caution is advised when Generic
Tadalafil is used as a treatment for ED
in men taking alpha blockers.
In case taking potent inhibitors of
CYP3A4, dose should be adjusted:
Tadacip for use as needed: 10 mg every
72 hours. For once daily use: dose not to
exceed 2.5 mg.

Patients should stop Tadacip and seek
prompt medical attention in the event of
sudden decrease or loss of hearing .
Patients should seek emergency
treatment if an erection lasts for more
than 4 hours.
Use Tadacip (Generic Tadalafil Tablets)
with caution in patients predisposed to
priapism.

Contraindications
Tadacip is contraindicated in patients with
a hypersensitivity to Tadalafil or any other
component of this medication.
Administration of Tadacip tablets to
patients using any form of organic nitrate is
contraindicated.
Tadacip (Generic Tadalafil Tablets) was
shown to potentiate the hypotensive effect
of nitrates.
Administration with guanylate cyclase (GC)
stimulators, such as Riociguat is
contraindicated.

14. Tadacip Side Effects

➢Common Tadacip side effects occurring in 2%
or more of the patients undergoing treatment
with this medicine are headache, dyspepsia,
back pain, myalgia, nasal congestion, flushing,
and pain in limb. These side effects usually go
away after a few hours. Men who get back pain
and muscle aches usually get it 12 to 24 hours
after taking this medicine. Back pain and muscle
aches usually go away within 2 days.
➢ Call your doctor in case you get any side
effect that bothers you or one that does not go
away.

15. Tadalafil Overdose

Single doses of Tadalafil (Tadacip
Tablets) up to 500 mg have been given to
healthy subjects, and multiple daily doses
up to 100 mg have been given to patients.
Adverse events were similar to those seen
at lower doses.
In cases of Tadalafil overdose, standard
supportive measures should be adopted as
necessary.

16. Tadacip During Pregnancy

Tadacip (Tadalafil Tablets) has been
classified by the US FDA as Pregnancy
Category B.
Generic Tadalafil (Tadacip tablets) is not
indicated for use in women.
There are no adequate and well controlled
studies of Tadacip tablets use in pregnant
women.
