The survey results show that the target audience for the magazine is primarily young women under age 18 who enjoy pop music, especially indie pop. They are interested in artist interviews and exclusive stories rather than promotional content. Given their age and interests, online content would be useful. The magazine should be inexpensive, around £2-3, to appeal to the target audience. It will need to provide quality content at an affordable price.

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.
The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.

We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.

2. WHAT IS YOUR GENDER?
These results show that the
majority of my responses were
women, suggesting that my
answers will be more female
oriented rather than male or
other genders. This may also
mean that my magazine will
be more focused on attracting
women as I will base a lot of
my decisions on the results as
seen in this survey.
3. WHAT IS YOUR AGE?
These results are mainly from
the age group or the under 18
category. There is only three
people 18-24 and one person
25-34. This suggests that the
answers will be for youth
groups. There will not be a wide
range of age dependant
answers. This suggests my
magazine should be targeted at
under 18s as the majority of my
survey answers are from this
age range and will influence my
decisions.
4. WHAT RACE ARE YOU?
My results show that the
majority of answers of my
survey was taken by white
Caucasian people, this may
influence my results as the
answers will not be as racially
diverse.
5. WHEN CONSIDERING NEW
PRODUCTS IN THIS AREA,
WHAT ARE THE TWO THINGS
YOU GENERALLY CONSIDER?
My results show that price is
the main factor that readers
consider when purchasing a
magazine, this suggests that my
magazine should be cost
effective for the audience.
Secondly, quality is important
because of the economic factor
as mentioned above, the
consumers want to feel as they
are getting good value for the
money they are spending. This
means that I will have to think
about quality pricing and
quality content.
6. HOW USEFUL ARE ONLINE
COMPONENTS TO YOU?
My results show that online
components would be very
useful to my target audience.
This influences the form of my
magazine as it may be that I
include a QR code for
interactivity or advertise a
online/mobile version of my
magazine. This does also
appeal to the stereotypical idea
that the youth spend a lot of
time on their technology, I will
utilise this stereotype by
offering a digital alternative.
7. HOW MUCH WOULD YOU
EXPECT TO SPEND ON A
MAGAZINE?
Price (£) Quantity
1 1
2 6
3 7
4 4
5 2
6 0
7 0
8 0
9 0
10 1
On average the audience would
be willing to spend between
£2-3 on the magazine. This
shows that my magazine will
have to keep prices low to keep
audiences interested. £3 is a
price that a lot of successful
magazines for young adults
use, reflecting the economic
status of my consumers.
8. WHAT CONTENT APPEALS TO
YOU MOST IN A MAGAZINE?
Interviews are the most popular
content within the magazine,
this influences my magazines
form as this may mean it will
have more interviews than
anything else.
Exclusive stories are also
important to the target
audience. However, they do not
want promotional items,
suggesting they read more for
intellectual stimulation rather
than for escapism.
9. WHAT ARTIST WOULD YOU
PREFER TO SEE FEATURED
WITHIN THE MAGAZINE?
Amy Winehouse was the most popular
answer for this question, this suggests
that people enjoy her branch of Jazz
and would like to hear more about her.
Since she has passed, an interview
would be impossible, instead my
magazine could publish a memory lane
double page, a brief history, interview
with someone who knew her etc.
Adele and The Wombats were joint
second, these are two alternate genres,
Adele being a mixture of soul & pop
and The Wombats a hybrid between
Indie pop & rock. This shows that pop
is a common like, weather it is indie or
a soul. This could indicate that I could
produce a magazine in which
celebrates all sub-genres of pop.
10. DO YOU ALREADY BUY MUSIC
MAGAZINES? IF SO WHICH
ONE?
Only three respondents
mentioned any purchasing of
existing music magazines. This
suggests to me that there is a
gap in the market for all these
respondents. There is no music
magazine at this point that is
attracting 11 extra people.
These same people answered
the previous question and
showed they like certain bands,
this could be used to spot a
gap such as a lack of sub-pop
genre magazines.
11. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE
GENRE OF MUSIC?
The most popular genre is indie
in this survey, suggesting that it
is the most popular for young
adults. This could be helped by
the influence of Leeds and
Reading festivals, suggesting
that exclusive articles about the
festivals could be useful to gain
readers.
Pop and R&B are joint second
place, R&B can also be blended
into the pop genre in certain
songs by artists such as
Beyoncé and Drake.
