2. Here I asked what gender
the reader was so I could
see what gender would
mostly read my magazine
and what I should
include. Here I can see
that 86% of my audience
is female, so I may direct
more things in my
magazine towards
women.
3. I asked what age group my
audience were in so I could see
what age group I should direct
my magazine at. I can clearly
see that 89.80% of my
audience are under the age of
18, therefore I will not use bad
language or images that are
not suited for an age group like
this.
4. I asked the audience
what genre of music
they are interested in.
The most popular three
were Pop, Dance and
R&B. This tells me that I
should use an artist
who’s genre features in
one of the categories.
5. I asked my audience if they
had ever bought a music
magazine. By receiving the
results of those who chose
yes they answered what
magazine they have bought.
The two most popular
magazines they had bought
were Q and Rolling Stone so
I will look through different
issues of them to see what
they include that mainly
attracts the readers.
6. I asked what occupation the
audience had so I could see what
they do and what articles could
help them with their job. From
this most of the audience are
students meaning the magazine
will be targeted at an audience
from the ages of 11 to 24.
7. I asked what my audience
would like to see within my
magazine. I can see that the
audience mainly want
Upcoming Music, Interviews,
Festival News and Concert
Reviews. I will include these in
my magazine due to the public
demand.
8. I asked the audience what
top three colours they would
like to see in my magazine.
The top three where blue,
red and Black. These are
quite good colours as they do
not contrast against one
another. The colours are very
important as it distinguishes
what gender would buy it as
a boy would not buy a
magazine with the colours
pink and purple on the front
cover.
9. I asked what
enticements the
audience would like to
receive as cover mounts
are also a main factor
drawing people in to
buying the magazine. I
will include CD’s and
Band Merchandise as
these where the two of
the most popular
demand.
10. I asked this question to
see how much my
audience would pay for
my magazine. The most
popular answer was £2 but
it is too cheap so I would
be going for in around the
£3-£3,50 mark.
11. I asked this question to see if
the magazine should have a
media base so it could get more
information and reach out to
more advertisers to power the
magazine. 89.90% said yes so I
will be making a Facebook,
Twitter and maybe a Snapchat
to appeal to other audiences.
