Similarities Between Scope And Scope
A. P. J. Abdul Kalam the 11th President of India from 2002 to 2007 once said: In a democracy, the
well being, individuality, and happiness of every citizen are important for the overall prosperity, peace,
and happiness of the nation. This quote perfectly explains the two of the most different pieces of
literature. Anthem by Ayn Rand and the movie Rope by Alfred Hitchcock. Anthem is in a dystopia
where the word I was not used nor was Ego . They live in almost the dark ages with no electricity or a
democracy. Everyone works for each other and if you were slightly different from the rest you were
punished. But one man came out of the trance and realized what was happening, that equality and
individuality were nowhere to be found. On the other hand Rope was taken place in the late 40 s. But
Rope was about men who thought because they were superior and rules do not apply to them like
murder. Ayn Rand Anthem and Alfred Hitchcock Rope have very different views of how an individual
should view himself.
Rand believes that individuality is key for a society to work. In her book, she said For the coming of
that day shall I fight, I and my sons and my chosen friends. For the freedom of Man. For his rights.
For his life. For his honor. Rand protagonist just got out of a community where you could not think for
yourself and now he is able to say I without fearing death. Rand was able to show how inequality can
change a person whole understanding of life. Now her protagonist wants more citizens to know this
thing called individuality.
But in the beginning, you had brothers who all thought of each other as equals and if you even liked
someone in the sightless you would be punished. This is an evil thing to say, for it is a transgression,
the great transgression of Preference, to love any among men better than the others, since we must
love all men and all men are our friends this is what a community was for Rand s protagonist. Not
thinking about yourself, but thinking about the good of the group. You grew up with only your
brothers, no dad nor mom. No grandkids or freedom. You did the same thing every day for 7 days a
week. And if you ever made it aware that one brother is your favorite than another

Poem Analysis Billy Collins
In 2001, the American population was shocked by the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center in
New York City. Two planes were hijacked and rammed into the twin towers. As soon as the first plane
hit, news reporters began to broadcast the event on every news station throughout the country. In the
next moment, a second plane crashed into the other building, and it was witnessed on live television. A
frenzy of panic and uncertainty engulfed the American society and patriotism soared. A multitude of
citizens was lost on this tragic day either by direct impact or saving the life of another. On September
11, 2002, one year after the horrendous moment in history, Billy Collins wrote a poem to memorialize
all those who departed from the physical ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Collins then begins to recite names of all those lost or affected by the tragedy. Starting with the letter
A and working down the alphabet all the way through Z. I started with A, with Ackerman, as it
happened. The Young and Ziminsky, the final jolt of Z (lines 5,43). Each letter of the alphabet
symbolizes a person who fell victim to the invasion. Moreover, each letter represents a name of a real
story of a life that perished ( The Names, Literary Analysis on a poem by Billy Collins , 1). The next
line, Davis and Eberling, names falling into place , describes two men who in trying to save others, the
building collapsed on them (line 7). Davis was a port authority officer who rushed into the building to
save the victims but could not save himself. His last words were those of heroism: One more trip . He
then was crushed from the impact of falling concrete and the iron structure of the building. Dean
Eberling, the other man, was stuck in an elevator and allowed two women to escape. By the time it
was his turn to crawl out it was too late, and he did not make it ( The Names, Literary Analysis on a

The I Set Out On A Road Trip
racy and I set out on a road trip to Santa Barbara to do a little site seeing and have some lunch. Having
left late, we were met by huge crowds and no parking. Wanting to enjoy some time away from home,
we decided to continue up the coast and go to Solvang. As we approached Solvang, we saw the sign
for Sunstone Winery. Having seen pictures and hearing about their cave, it didn t take much to
convince us to stop and see what they had to offer. Driving up and walking through a vine covered
archway, you are greeted by a French style Courtyards and a picnic ground where people are sitting
around enjoying the outdoors with a glass of wine. To the right of the vine covered archway is a
beautiful tasting room also reflecting the French motif. Across the courtyard are two large wooden
doors on a stone masonry structure that is built into the side of the hill. This is the location of their
barrel aging cave and is frequently used for special events by club members. Walking into the tasting
room we were warmly greeted by the staff of Sunstone. As we approached the bar, Jonathan Flores
introduced himself and asked if we would like to taste their wines. Who could refuse. Sunstone has 2
different tasting flights from which to select. They have the Classic List and the Reserve List to
choose from. Sunstone s primary emphasis is on Rhone and Bordeaux with red varietals being their
primary focus but they do have a very nice selection of white wines. Johnathan began to

The Middle East And The European Powers Changes During The...
How did the relationship between the Middle East and the European powers change during the
eighteenth and nineteenth centuries?
Many things happened in the Middle East during the eighteenth and nineteen century. For example,
the book Sources in the History of The Modern Middle east gives us some of the events that happened
in the Middle East during nineteen century such as;
Central Political Reforms and Local Responses

This mixture of ethnicities, there are major conflicts of religious, territorial order (including the
struggle for water) and economic (because of oil). During the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries two
main events changed the relationship between Middle east and Europe; Napoleonic Invasion and The
decline of the Ottoman Empire and the British.
Egypt was a place of the oldest civilizations (4000 BC) that even Alexander s command, the Great
(322 BC), is ruled by dynasties. In the following centuries, the Nile people are dominated by Roman
(first century BC), Byzantine (fourth century), Arabs (seventh century) which impose Islam and
Turkish Ottoman (XVI century).
It Faces Napoleonic invasion in the late eighteenth century, but the framework of European
penetration is the construction of the Suez Canal (1869) and the British occupation in 1882 until 1936,
when they spend to maintain troops only in the channel. In 1922 Egypt proclaims independence and
install a monarchy. During World War II was the scene of conflict between British against German and
Italian. The post war crisis and defeat for the Israelis against the creation of this state (1948) cause
antimonarquistas and anticolonial protests. In this context, Colonel Gamal Abdel Nasser ascends to
power to depose the monarch regime and proclaim a republic in 1953 and promote agrarian reform
and industrialization in 1954 and nationalized the

The Incredible Laser Summary
In 1962, the article The Incredible Laser predicts the development of a laser canon and stated that all
lasers are dangerous. This is one of many misconception the public has made of the ideal purpose of
the laser. Most misconception the public has makes on laser is that all lasers, masers, and particle
beam weapons are dangerous. He describes the Ray Gun Myth as purely the stuff of fiction meaning
this is the concept of a beam weapon being small enough to be used as a hand held weapon is not
possible as of right now. The technology is not advanced enough for it to be possible for now. If a so
called hand held weapons does becoming possible, the power in hand held weapons will be only able
to kill insects, not human. A power source big

of IT in the Accounting Work Information technology (IT) has changed the accounting department for
the better (Shanker). Today, IT is already present and is used widely in the business field, specifically
in accounting offices (Shanker, 2006). The following are the positive effects of IT in the Accounting
Work: Speed is the most important characteristic of IT. The use of various technologies results to
faster and more accurate performances. Technologies are mainly composed of hardware and software
and these two must be always compatible for the accountant s specific works in order to deliver the
best performance. In order for technologies to be more effective as far as speed is concerned, the
system of accounting should have always backup systems for the technologies that are being used
(Shanker, 2006). Accuracy in recording and reporting financial information are greatly valued and the

Shadow of the Night
Shadow of the Night
On a freezing, dark blue night of Li, in the Village of Li Marta. This was an old little village, the
houses were nothing but ash and rubble except an old abandoned barn. The barn had creaking floor
boards and a rotten wooden roof.
In this abandoned barn there lived a young and confident farm boy; his clothes were ragged and full of
holes. The young boy was called Rye named after the agricultural god Ren Rye.
As Rye was sitting on the creaking floor boards a thought hit him, he remembered something his
mother told him, be strong like an ox! Suddenly a gang of raiders came down from the north came to
torch the village to ashes. A horn blew. It was the raider chieftain Kai Tai s way of terrifying the
villagers. Outside the Barn two raiders were battering through the barn door, then Rye s mother said
hide, son! Hide in the rafters! from his hiding place Rye saw the doomed doors explode into a shower
of splinters and he saw his mother being dragged away.
Rye remembered those horrendous moments. In frustration he would kick a stone for no purpose or
reason. His father fought till his last breath and defending Rye, valiantly clutching his pitchfork.
Rye had woken up from that dreadful nightmare, he was now somewhere unfamiliar a dark, dark
place, where there was no light. It was the spirit realm of Gahem a quiet but deadly realm to stay in.
Suddenly out of the darkness a shadow appeared the shadow had black clothing and a dark purple

Nt1330 Unit 1 Algorithm Paper
The complexity and memory requirements of the algorithm are in the order of $D_mathcal{D}.{rm
N}$, denoted as $O(D_mathcal{D}{rm N})$. The algorithm become more effective when the
minimum difference $Delta Y_k$ is large between the transmission probability gains $Y_k$.
Consequently, our algorithm finds an optimal solution coupled with linear complexity, when the
network become more heterogeneous due to small ${rm N}$. Our algorithm also finds the optimal
solution with an increased complexity, when the network becomes more homogeneous or less
heterogeneous due to increasing ${rm N}$. The quantization precision ${rm N}$ in Algorithm 1, is
a physical quantity specified by the underlying network that elaborate the designing of quantization
step. The total content size $H$ depends on the required content transmission rate $r_{c_i, d_i}$ and
$Y_k$, whereas $Y_k sigma$ are defined by the contact dynamics of the nodes in a network.
However, if the network is difficult by the required level of transmission ratio, the values of $Y_k$
and the value of $Delta Y_k$, such that $rm N$ is too large, then the designer may have to comprise
by reducing the desired level of transmission ratio to reduce $rm N$. In results, the sub optimal ...

The transmission rate and contact rates between D2D pairs are often quasi statistic information. In
cellular network, all the nodes of the network can be known by their contact rates and transmission
rate to the source node, as they can access the services provided by the network. In D2D
communication, where the base station is not taking part of the data transmission, the D2D pair can
transmit the contact rates and transmission rate by opportunistic contacts. Therefore, the information

How The Body Works Is Incredibly Complex, But A Wonderful...
One Mischievous Little Organ
The way our body works is incredibly complex, but a wonderful thing that we are given. Without
everything working it would be hard to do simple tasks. When certain things do shut down or stop
working properly it can ruin a life. The littlest of organs can have an enormous effect on the body
which it did on me. The thyroid a small organ on the front of your neck gave me some serious
problems for about 2 years. From little things like sleep, appetite, and headaches it quickly scaled to
many more major things like heart palpations and severe dehydration. It may seem like something
useless in the body, but I will never forget what it caused, and how hard it was to overcome it. That
little organ did way more than it probably knew it could do which was giving me a completely
different outlook on life itself.
How could one simple thing do that to my entire body. I would ask later on when I finally figured out
who the culprit of my sickness was. That thyroid caused many problems around the ages of 14 16. The
first sign of this takes me back all the way to eighth grade where I was just incredibly tired. I felt
absolutely horrible physically I couldn t get out of bed, and it was hard to do some simple tasks like
walking. I would be out of school for two days when my mother who thought it was the flu that was
affecting eventually made an appointment for the doctor to get whatever was causing me to be this
sick figured out, so I could be back to shape.

Essay On Determinism Vs Free Will
The Determined Will of Man Freedom and power are luxuries all humans desire. Since the dawn of
humanity, man struggled and persevered through nature s unforgiving vicissitudes, but emerged
fervently from them with the stern intent of actuating his ever evolving desires. The debate between
determinism and free will has raged since antiquity, and the main difference between them lies in an
element of control; the one outer and the other inner, respectively. Determinism is the philosophical
idea that every event or state of affairs, including every human decision and action, is the inevitable
and necessary consequence of antecedent states of affairs. Free will, on the other hand, is the power of
acting without the constraint of necessity or ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Human desire can only be expressed effectively through the attainment of power, provided it is
desired; therefore, human action is determined by desire. Altruism is acting with an unselfish regard
for others. Cooperative behavior enabled our ancestors to further enhance their survivability under
harsh conditions, which clarifies the notion that when we make the effort to give without expectations
of reciprocity, we feel fulfilled and energized. The previous sentence hinges upon the illicit negative
fallacy, which is an argument whose conclusion of a standard form is affirmative, but at least one of
the premises is negative. If the effort to give without expectations of reciprocity is true, then the
expected feeling of fulfilment and energy mustn t be felt in order for the statement to be considered
cogent; however, it was maintained that it was felt; therefore, the statement is fallacious. Thence, from
the example provided, it can be concluded that altruism is nonexistent. Altruism and free will are
mutually inclusive; if altruism is nonexistent, then free will is also nonexistent. Actions which spring
from internal control are guided by free will; those which spring from external forces are guided by
determinism. Desire is a constituent part of human nature, which necessitates actions whose ends are
directed toward benefiting the director. Since our actions are determined by our desires in all cases,
free will cannot possibly exist, because if it were to exist, our actions could be directed toward ends

Diet Adverts
Those who watch any amount of television have probably noticed the numerous ads for diet programs
that include diet mail order food shipped directly to the home. Results advertised as not typical are
plastered across the screen in print almost too small to read, and scantily clad people proudly exclaim
they ve achieved success with their diet plan of choice. One commercial in particular shows a less
than perfect woman who doesn t appear to be extremely overweight walking through the grocery store
in her silky lavender underwear. Others show people in tight bathing suits with tummies hanging over
their waistbands while exposing themselves to the world. When wearing clothes, most of these people

The extra fat that you carry is completely due to the lifestyle that you follow including poor eating
habits. If you know that you are carrying a lot of extra fat on your body by the jokes and insulting
comments other people bestow on you, then it is time to do your research on diet pills that safely aid
in weight loss. You will be able to get your life back, your energy back, and your good health back.
Instead of being insulted you will have people flocking to you asking you how you lost so much
weight. If you want to burn excess fat quickly and safely diet pills can be a great option, especially if
you are in pretty good health as the side effects will not affect your health as much as someone with
poor health. There are many different types of diet pills out there on the market but it is best to
research the diet pill fads as well as talk to your doctor to find out which diet pills will be best for you.
If you want to gain muscle as well as lose weight it is best to combine diet pills with a feasible
exercise regimen and a healthy diet plan. Once you have done your research and decided which path
you are going to take start comparing them side by side as far as what they have to offer, what the
company itself can offer, and the testimonials of those that have used the product. While many diet
pills claim that you can lose 10 pounds in a week that is the extreme; it is important to read all the fine
print and realize that losing weight can t happen over night; you have to put a lot of effort into it by
sticking to a healthy diet plan and participating in a workout regimen that is within your reach. Once
you have made the commitment mentally and emotionally you will get the most from your weight loss
experience. Using diet pills can only be effective if you include a healthy diet and exercise. If your
goal is to lose the

Regional Antibiotic Resistance Of Helicobacter Pylori
Review Article
Regional Antibiotic Resistance of Helicobacter pylori
Abstract
Antibiotic resistance is the main factor accounting for unsuccessful eradication of Helicobactor pylori
(H. pylori). Being knowledgeable of the regional resistance rates of H. pylori isolates can regulate not
only the empiric antibiotic therapy but also lead to second line treatment and rescue regiments. At
present, the most common treatment is empiric eradication, thus, global regional regiment therapies
should be based upon regional in vitro antibiotic resistance rates. This approach is crucial in
successfully treating the individual patient. However, in regions where antibiotic susceptibility testing
is unavailable, epidemiological data for secondary H. pylori resistance are essential for the rational use
of antibiotics following several treatment failures in. Primary H. pylori resistance to clarithromycin is
generally less prevalent worldwide than H. pylori resistance to metronidazole. Secondary resistance
that develops in vivo in previously susceptible organisms has been documented in cases of therapeutic
failures. All antibiotics used to treat H. pylori are also widely employed to treat other bacterial
infections, therefore, pretreatment exposure of H. pylori to inadequate levels of these drugs as well as
the use of inadequate regional antibiotics, is associated with secondary resistance. Herein, we review
regional resistance rates of H. pylori isolates to clarithromycin, metronidazole and

The United States has a quite different educational system than China. In China, there is not
something like GMAT or GRE in the process of application. After the students pass the national exams

their senior year. However, if international students want to apply for master degrees in the United
States, they need to start in the end of their junior year. In addition, there are also many additional
requirements for international students in the admission process. As a result, most international

Oppression By Marilyn Frye Summary
In Oppression, Marilyn Frye uses a birdcage as a metaphor to describe the invisible and visible effects
that oppression can have on society (151). Frye further argues how an observer failing to see why the
cage is a prison to the bird is like someone failing to treat oppression as a whole (151). The author s
creative approach spurred me to think of other bird cages presently in our society. Specifically, I
wonder how the people within the bird cages I present become invisible in the cage.
For instance, prisons and psychiatric hospitals are a representation of a bird cage. In the United States,
currently, millions of African American youth who committed petty crimes are placed with hard core
criminals. Consider, Kalief Browder,

All Time Low Concert

Time Low headline another tour across the United States, titled Future Hearts Tour . One of the more

2015. All Time Low has been to the Eagles Ballroom more than any other band, a record fifteen times.
The concert on May 29th did not disappoint, it was a fun filled night for fans in attendance. Originally
from Baltimore, Maryland, All Time Low is known for their exciting concerts. This particular All
Time Low concert had excellent opening acts, a unique setlist, an interesting venue, and detailed stage
production. To begin, this concert s opening acts were exciting and really set the stage for All Time
Low. The first band to preform was Real Friends who are from Chicago. The group s sound can best
be described as an angsty version of pop punk. Real friends played some of their most popular songs
such as I ve Given Up On You and Floorboards . Many of the fans in attendance were familiar with
Real Friends so the set was very energetic. In addition, the other opening act was a band called
Knuckle Puck, who are also from Chicago. Knuckle Puck put on lively set that really got the crowd ...

Judith Plaskow Research Paper
Judith Plaskow Judith Plaskow began her study of feminism while pursuing a Phd at Yale and
continued on to cofound B not Esh, a Jewish feminist spirituality collective, as well as author many
theological books (Braude, 2004, pg 219). She grew up in a Reform Judaism household and as a child
focused on ethical monotheism , which lead to her study of the Holocaust and the development of a
self image of victimhood (2004, pg 220). It was Naomi Weisstein, a psychologist, who spoke to
Plaskow women s group at Yale that really spurred her to reconsider her own ambitions in life (2004,
pg 221). In her discovery of feminism, Plaskow felt that she was able to move past her self identity as
a victim and began to examine how her womanhood and Jewishness could contribute to the world
(2004, pg 222). She began to connect feminism with religion along with her college friend Carol P.

Christ is the main leader of the Goddess Movement, although she grew up in a rather conservative
Christian family (Braude, 2004, pg 97 98). Upon entering Yale, her political views were opposite
those of her childhood, however she was still treated more as a female body than a female person
(2004, pg 99). Eventually, she was able to make life giving connections between herself and other
women at Yale, such as Plaskow (2004, pg 100). Christ tried to find a religion that could nourish her
soul, just as her friendships did, however, it was difficult to do so due to the deep embedded sexism in
many religions (2004, pg 102). It was Starhawk, a now famous neo pagan, who first introduced Christ
to the idea of a Goddess, rather than the male images of God she was accustomed to (2004, pg 102).
This Goddess allowed women to have an affirmation of their power, body and will (2004, pg 103).
Though she has found great success in her life as an author, Christ had struggled to find employment

An Actor Prepares
An Actor Prepares by Constantin Stanislavski
Because I m usually immersed in web stuff, it s interesting to read a text whose ideas are still relevant
to its target profession 70 years on. It was mostly a more enjoyable read than I expected it s written as
if by a student of acting, reporting on a year of training. It makes clear how much more there can be to
acting than just pretending to be someone else . Unfortunately I kind of lost it around two thirds of the
way through, when he starts talking about transmitting rays to each other, and things get a bit hazy and
repetitive. Maybe that stuff makes more sense when the preceding chapters have been properly

Action
35 7 Whatever happens on stage must be for a purpose, even if you outwardly appear to be doing
nothing. You must act either outwardly or inwardly.
40 41 Never simply try to act emotions emotions are caused by something that has gone before, and it
s this that you should think of. The result will produce itself.
46 If acts as a lever to lift us out of the world of actuality into the realm of imagination.
4. Imagination
70 The actor must use his imagination to be able to answer all questions (when, where, why, how).
Make the make believer existence more definite.
71 If you do or say anything on stage without fully realising who you are, what you re doing, how you
got there, etc, you re not using your imagination. If someone asks is it cold outside? you should
remember what it was like when you were last out the sights, sensations, etc before answering.
5. Concentration of Attention

Karl Popper And Imre Lakatos
Karl Popper and Imre Lakatos: Criteria of Demarcation In the effort to delineate between science and
pseudoscience, a necessary set of factors by which to differentiate between the two, a set of criteria of
demarcation becomes necessary. In the 20th century, several modern philosophers made attempts to
outline criteria of demarcation, with differing results and reasoning, but several important similarities.
Both Karl Popper and Imre Lakatos argued against the paradigm (no Kuhnian pun intended) of
verificationism, which asserted that positive proof in favor of a scientific hypothesis adds credence to
that hypothesis, and that a sufficient body of empirically supporting observations can indeed prove a
theory. Popper fervently rejects the notion of verificationism as a criterion of demarcation in his
creation and support of falsificationism, wherein only one refuting instance may condemn a theory,
and only by a failure to disprove a theory can it be supported, not proven. As a modification of
falsificationism, Imre Lakatos more relaxed definition of the criteria of demarcation between science
and pseudoscience still supports the view that a sufficient number of refutations may constitute
rejection of a theory, but argues for a more lenient treatment of fledgling scientific theories Popper
rejects verificationism as a criterion of demarcation because, as he puts it, confirmations are plentiful
when one is looking for them. He claims that many pursuits are full of

Pros And Cons Of Physician Assisted Suicide In The United...
Within the past few years physician assisted suicide has been a major topic of debate. Assisted suicide
is termed as suicide committed with aid from another individual, including a doctor. With the suicide
term raising much concern, many people interchangeably use other terms. A few terms are death with
dignity, physician assisted death or compassionate dying. Physician assisted death is implemented for
those that are terminally ill and mentally capable adults that would prefer to shorten their dying
process. The option of being able to get medical aid in dying only apply to certain states, and must
pass through an election for that specific state. The first state to vote on the subject was Oregon and
eventually passed in 1994 as the Death with Dignity Act (Jackson, 2008). There are now six states in
the United States that has passed this act. The states that are allowing physician assisted death are
District of Columbia, Oregon, Washington, Vermont, California and recently Colorado.
Eligibility Criteria
To legally obtain a prescription medication to end your life under physician assisted dying statutes,
people must first become a qualified patient, meeting a set of rigorous requirements. First off, people
who are thinking of using the act must be a resident of Colorado, California, Washington, Vermont,
District of Columbia and Oregon. They must also be 18 years or older, and be mentally competent.
Lastly, they must be diagnosed with a terminal illness that will lead to

Maria Montessori Beliefs On Early Childhood Education
Maria Montessori was a philosopher that influenced early childhood education. Her beliefs and ideas
align with my personal beliefs on early childhood education. Maria Montessori was an Italian
physician, educator, and inventor. She used new educational methods that brought a new aspect and
perspective to early childhood learning. Her methods proved successful as she continued to developed
these ideas and became a well known and highly acclaimed philosopher. Maria Montessori believed
that the environment influences how children learn. The prepared environment she created was
colorful and implemented the five senses to facilitate learning. She believed each child should be
motivated to learn new things. She encouraged these ideas through new materials, classrooms, and
teaching procedures. The materials she created were didactic, meaning that they were self teaching.
Lastly, Maria Montessori believed that while teachers should be observers, they should also be
demonstrators and work with every child. Each child was encouraged to let their natural instincts take
the lead and explore, trying new things on their own rather than being forced. By observing the child s
instincts and behaviors the teacher can tell what the child needs and how to provide them with the
materials. I believe implementing the beliefs of Maria Montessori in my own future classroom will be
the best way for each child to learn.
In my Pre kindergarten classroom, I will use similar methods as Maria

The Definition of Organic Foods Should Be Redefined Essay
Organic versus non organic foods are always being debated to whether they are worth the extra cost.
This seems to be an easy question, at first, but begs a more in depth analysis to come to a conclusion.
Organic definitions can vary by government, company and even individuals. Many people have their
own ideas of what organic means. My personal definition, before this research assignment, was that
organic products were grown with no pesticides, chemical additives, or preservatives and grown in a
humane way. Meaning that if it said 100% organic, that is what was meant. This however, is not the
case when it comes to the government s definition of organic, according to T. A. Niewold who wrote,
Organic More Healthy; Green Shoots in a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If these claims prove to be true, as some research suggests, then this may be well worth the cost if one
can afford them. In the case of the meat we eat, how do we know that it is truly organic (hence the
necessity for a more strict definition), and why do we even need it to be? There are several reasons for
us to eat organic meat, depending on what the definition ultimately ends up being. One reason to eat
organic meat is the fact of the spread of Bovine spongiform encephalopathy or what is more
commonly known as Mad Cow Disease. There is a human form of this disease called New Variant
Creutzfeldt Jakob disease (NCJD). This disease was first brought to light in the 1990 s in Europe by
the discovery of link between these two diseases (Freudenrich, 3). If one had lived in Europe in the
early 90 s, for at least six months, (as my family and I did) they may have been exposed to this
disease. In the past, cows (who are naturally herbivores) were fed remnants of dead and dying sheep.
Sheep that possibly had the disease called, Scrapie which is similar to BSE, and could explain the
reason for the infection to have started in cows, eventually jumping to humans (Freudenrich, 6). The
theory of how this disease came about varies, but one of the most prevalent relates to a protein called a
prion . These prions are allowed access to the

What Does The Cat In The Sky Mean
In THE GOLDEN CAT, Gabriel King continues the enchanting quest that began with The Wild Road
the novel the San Francisco Chronicle crowned mythical, and Richard Adams, author of Watership
Down, deemed absolutely magical. . .
The ancient prophecy speaks of a golden cat whose coming will heal the troubled world. But the
Queen of Cats has three golden kittens and when two are stolen away, the distraught parents turn to
Tag, the brave young cat who is the protector of the magical Wild Road.
The desperate search moves from the water lit Oceanarium and sun dappled Tintagel to the distant
Louisiana bayous and the pyramids of Egypt. As Tag and his friends struggle on, so does a terrifying,
unearthly force a preternatural vortex threatening the Wild Road, tearing at the very fabric of
existence. But Tag is disastrously unprepared for the powerful darkness that threatens to consume
everything in its walk.

Fixed and Variable Costs
Health services managers are essentially interested in how costs are affected by changes in volume.
Cost behavior refers to a cost s reactions to activity level. A cost may rise, fall, or remain constant as
activity levels fluctuate. We can classify several types of costs on the basis of their relationship to the
amount of services provided, often referred to as activity, utilization, or volume (Gapenski, 2012).
When dealing with the future there is a level of uncertainty of volume with regard to inpatient days,
number of emergency visits, number of unforeseen complications, number of additional unaccounted
for testing procedures and so on. The many costs incurred by the healthcare organization can be
classified as variable, fixed, or ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Variable costs apply at a per unit basis, only the behavior of the variable per unit cost is different. For
example, if supplies for a one lab test cost $10, the variable cost per test remains constant. Although
the cost of the test remains the same, the total costs associated with the test will increase or decrease in
relation with the volume of tests at the hospital. Cost behavior refers to the relationship between a
given cost item and the quantity of it s related cost driver. It explains how the total amount for various
costs respond to changes in volume. When volume is zero, variable costs equal zero. If there are no
lab tests being performed, there are no variable costs incurred. Fixed costs on the other hand do not
change in response to a change in volume. The monthly cost to rent a clinic would stay constant
whether they had 50 or 100 lab tests, because that is a fixed cost.
Cost Allocation Cost allocation is essentially a pricing process within the organization whereby
managers allocate the costs of one department to other departments. Typically, the overhead costs of
the healthcare business, such as those incurred by administrators, facilities management personnel,
financial staff, housekeeping and maintenance personnel, must be allocated to those departments that
generate revenues for the organization. Departments that generate revenues are generally patient

This still gave its listeners a greater variety of music than they could get from listening to other local

Loss of Innocence in Mamas Don t Let Your Babies Grow Up...
One of my daddy s favorite songs is Mamas Don t Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys by
Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson. The song is an old southern anthem of the basic tale and fate of
growing up. The song goes on to warn mothers to keep their children safe from the harsh world that
awaits them, in this case it s the world of the west, and it couldn t be more true. Growing up is
inevitable and is a epidemic people have been trying to battle for years, the same way Peter Pan could

Literary Romanticism In Wordsworth s Lyrical Ballads

publication of Lyrical Ballads represented a turning point for English poetry. Though the book was not
originally received as a radical experiment, it was rather controversial for its time. Being released
straight during the French revolution which was seen as a social experiment in itself. Coleridge
encouraged Wordsworth to write a preface to Lyrical Ballads which would explain the work contained
within the collection.
The phrase experimental originated from Wordsworth himself and the preface gave him the
opportunity to explain and defend the rather radical work to the readers. Wordsworth expressed
concern on how lyrical ballads would be received by his readership. That it would not only not meet
their expectations but would make them question his ability as a poet also. He knew that the poems he
was writing were so intentionally experimental that his reader s reactions would be mixed I flattered
myself that they who should be pleased with them would read them with more than common pleasure:

has devoted his life to gaining fame, wealth, and reputation, so when the physician attempts to end his
affair with a flight attendant he met, she threatens to expose him to the world and risk him losing his
career. Therefore the physician ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The example involves the decision between an ethical and moral decision that may hinder or flourish
Kate and Joan s academic careers expansion. If one says yes regardless of the repercussions they will
be rewarded for this decision. If one says no they may not be offered the opportunities for high faculty
positions. Joan was interviewed for a first rate school, during her interview the dean assured her that
the job could be hers, as long as she agreed to pass all of the varsity athletes in a future class of hers
with passing grades, unless their work was utterly disappointing. Joan rejected this position having
cared more about academic integrity, than money, or prestige. On the other hand, Kate was then
offered the same position as Joan and instead decided to accept the offer given by the dean. Kate was
later awarded with a very successful career, became a popular teacher and a renowned researcher,
while Joan was forced to purse a path that didn t satisfy her because she was never again offered a
faculty position, she continued living her live unhappily. In the end, Kate would occasionally look
back at her original decision and view that she was had no choice but to make accept if she wanted to

Fiscal Policies In Canada
Fiscal policies as described by Evie Adomait are any and all budgetary matters that relate to the
government, also referred to as the Department of Finance in these specific cases (p146). As we all
know, our current Prime Minster is Liberal and so the government s fiscal policies will be focused
more on investing and subsidizing social services. Prime Minister Trudeau has expressed to Canada
and other global leaders that he has no intentions of balancing the budget and urges others to do the
same. The Canadian government is focusing heavily on increasing government spending and as a
result, we are seeing an accumulation of debt that continues to grow at an exponential rate. Before I
proceed, it is important to make clear that I myself am fiscally ... Show more content on

As it stands the government is spending far beyond its means and is running excessive deficits that
will have a huge impact on the economy for years to come. After a single year we have already
witnessed the large decline in value of the Canadian dollar. The government should not be expanding
their means through fiscal policies that promote such debt. This places a burden on the taxpayers of
the country and the economy as a whole. My argument stands from the fact that the government
receives its income from the personal income of its residents and corporations. Taxpayers elect a
government on the basis that they will represent the needs of the people and an important factor in this
election process includes the proposed tax rates of each political government. When a political
government sets the tax rate it is recorded in legislation and signifies that those funds should suffice.
When a government begins to overspend and suffer from a deficit they are forced to increase tax rates;
our current government is a

Resident Evil Vs Biohazard
Players who follow Resident Evil closely know that the game made its mark with heavyweight horror
turns and battles. Which is why Resident Evil 7 is said to be more than that. Resident Evil 7:
Biohazard is going to be different. It is described to be a major course correction from Resident Evil 4.
It opens up in a scary house in the teaser demo released. The demo, titled Beginning Hour, looks
nothing like its predecessors. The series seems to be distant in feature, for RE 7. Comparing RE 4 and
Biohazard, The Verge has it that the only thing these games have in common are both games can t be
played today. Resident Evil 7: Biohazard brings back the horror. The demo features the Kitchen. In the
Virtual Reality demo, the vibe is similar to the Saw. You start with a chair, and your hands are tied.
But that VR demo makes it quite immersive for players. If the character gets stabbed in the leg, it s as
almost if the leg physically twitches in nervous response. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
So this is a plus since it s playable with PlayStation VR. Beginning Hour is set in the same house as
Kitchen. Since the game uses a first person perspective, it s going to be an interactive experience for
the player. The game is also coming on to the PC and Xbox One platforms. According to Polygon, it
won t be a Virtual Reality experience for these platforms. Mike McWhertor explains that controlling
the camera through head tracking and the right analog stick wound up being disorienting. Would
Resident Evil be able to come back to its former glory with Resident Evil 7: Biohazard? Only players
can tell when it comes out for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on January 24,

Evolution Of Human Evolution
Introduction
The human species has depended on a material culture for millions of years. Without it, humans would
not be able to survive. Many people believe that because we have so many technological
advancements and that humans can build or make anything necessary for their survival. Even with the
current technology and other advancements, research has proven that humans are still evolving. Much
of the evolution that is happening today has to do with the human genome and adapting to current
issues in the world. There has been much research done on the human genome and how it is still
mutating and changing. Natural selection has a big part in how the genome changes. Mutations are
another point to look at when determining if the human species is still evolving. A third point to look
at is gene flow and how that affects different populations. The purpose of this paper is to review
multiple different articles to establish whether or not the human species is currently evolving. The
articles used for this paper confirm that humans continue to evolve. While humans have the
technology and skills to make their environments suit their needs, it can clearly be seen that humans
continue to evolve and adapt.
Review of the Literature
Mutations
Some mutations in an allele increase to a greater frequency in a short period of time due to natural
selection. Examples of this include alleles in the gene for lactase persistence so that adults can break

Who Is The Bystander In Lord Of The Flies
The first psychological theory to focus on is the bystander effect: a social psychological experience
where an individual, usually placed in a group, is less motivated towards a goal to benefit self or
victims. The bystander effect can be shown in various situations, such as bullying, protesting, debates
and more. In the novel Lord of the Flies by William Golding, there are many instances where
characters, mostly littluns, supported as bystanders to the bullying of Piggy by Jack. From the
beginning Jack immediately displays a dislike for Piggy for talking too much, coming to a point where
he insults Piggy by calling him Fatty in front of everyone. This later affects the children s decisions to
vote for a leader, and even though the intelligence...shown was traceable to Piggy...there was a
stillness about Ralph as he sat that marked him out: there was his size, and attractive appearance; and
most powerfully, there is the conch (22). ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Golding displays an apathetic tone on the subject of bullying and the bystander effect; for example,
Golding doesn t reveal much information on the bystanders, but mainly focuses on the struggles Piggy
has to overcome to be heard, in other words, the bystanders are just background noise. The bystander
effect shown in the children strike a significance because it torments Piggy to be recognised only as a
fat kid with no other important role. Additionally, the bystander effect emotionally abuses victims,
such as Piggy, into believing no one else will help, and in return, bystanders will accept bullying and
restrain from interfering unless someone stronger stands up. In modern society, the bystander effect
presents in a majority of bullying situations, just like in Lord of the

  • 2. Similarities Between Scope And Scope A. P. J. Abdul Kalam the 11th President of India from 2002 to 2007 once said: In a democracy, the well being, individuality, and happiness of every citizen are important for the overall prosperity, peace, and happiness of the nation. This quote perfectly explains the two of the most different pieces of literature. Anthem by Ayn Rand and the movie Rope by Alfred Hitchcock. Anthem is in a dystopia where the word I was not used nor was Ego . They live in almost the dark ages with no electricity or a democracy. Everyone works for each other and if you were slightly different from the rest you were punished. But one man came out of the trance and realized what was happening, that equality and individuality were nowhere to be found. On the other hand Rope was taken place in the late 40 s. But Rope was about men who thought because they were superior and rules do not apply to them like murder. Ayn Rand Anthem and Alfred Hitchcock Rope have very different views of how an individual should view himself. Rand believes that individuality is key for a society to work. In her book, she said For the coming of that day shall I fight, I and my sons and my chosen friends. For the freedom of Man. For his rights. For his life. For his honor. Rand protagonist just got out of a community where you could not think for yourself and now he is able to say I without fearing death. Rand was able to show how inequality can change a person whole understanding of life. Now her protagonist wants more citizens to know this thing called individuality. But in the beginning, you had brothers who all thought of each other as equals and if you even liked someone in the sightless you would be punished. This is an evil thing to say, for it is a transgression, the great transgression of Preference, to love any among men better than the others, since we must love all men and all men are our friends this is what a community was for Rand s protagonist. Not thinking about yourself, but thinking about the good of the group. You grew up with only your brothers, no dad nor mom. No grandkids or freedom. You did the same thing every day for 7 days a week. And if you ever made it aware that one brother is your favorite than another ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Poem Analysis Billy Collins In 2001, the American population was shocked by the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center in New York City. Two planes were hijacked and rammed into the twin towers. As soon as the first plane hit, news reporters began to broadcast the event on every news station throughout the country. In the next moment, a second plane crashed into the other building, and it was witnessed on live television. A frenzy of panic and uncertainty engulfed the American society and patriotism soared. A multitude of citizens was lost on this tragic day either by direct impact or saving the life of another. Moreover, each letter represents a name of a real story of a life that perished ( The Names, Literary Analysis on a poem by Billy Collins , 1). The next line, Davis and Eberling, names falling into place , describes two men who in trying to save others, the building collapsed on them (line 7). Davis was a port authority officer who rushed into the building to save the victims but could not save himself. His last words were those of heroism: One more trip . He then was crushed from the impact of falling concrete and the iron structure of the building. Dean Eberling, the other man, was stuck in an elevator and allowed two women to escape. By the time it was his turn to crawl out it was too late, and he did not make it ( The Names, Literary Analysis on a Poem by Billy Collins ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. The I Set Out On A Road Trip racy and I set out on a road trip to Santa Barbara to do a little site seeing and have some lunch. Having left late, we were met by huge crowds and no parking. Wanting to enjoy some time away from home, we decided to continue up the coast and go to Solvang. As we approached Solvang, we saw the sign for Sunstone Winery. Having seen pictures and hearing about their cave, it didn t take much to convince us to stop and see what they had to offer. Driving up and walking through a vine covered archway, you are greeted by a French style Courtyards and a picnic ground where people are sitting around enjoying the outdoors with a glass of wine. To the right of the vine covered archway is a beautiful tasting room also reflecting the French motif. Across the courtyard are two large wooden doors on a stone masonry structure that is built into the side of the hill. This is the location of their barrel aging cave and is frequently used for special events by club members. Walking into the tasting room we were warmly greeted by the staff of Sunstone. As we approached the bar, Jonathan Flores introduced himself and asked if we would like to taste their wines. Who could refuse. Sunstone has 2 different tasting flights from which to select. They have the Classic List and the Reserve List to choose from. Sunstone s primary emphasis is on Rhone and Bordeaux with red varietals being their primary focus but they do have a very nice selection of white wines. Johnathan began to ... Significance of the Study The purpose of this study is to know the significance of Information technology in the field of Accounting in today s globalized world. II. REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE AND STUDIES/CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK/DISCUSSION Effects of IT in the Accounting Work Information technology (IT) has changed the accounting department for the better (Shanker). Today, IT is already present and is used widely in the business field, specifically in accounting offices (Shanker, 2006). The following are the positive effects of IT in the Accounting Work: Speed is the most important characteristic of IT. The use of various technologies results to faster and more accurate performances. Technologies are mainly composed of hardware and software and these two must be always compatible for the accountant s specific works in order to deliver the best performance. In order for technologies to be more effective as far as speed is concerned, the system of accounting should have always backup systems for the technologies that are being used (Shanker, 2006). This was an old little village, the houses were nothing but ash and rubble except an old abandoned barn. The barn had creaking floor boards and a rotten wooden roof. In this abandoned barn there lived a young and confident farm boy; his clothes were ragged and full of holes. The young boy was called Rye named after the agricultural god Ren Rye. As Rye was sitting on the creaking floor boards a thought hit him, he remembered something his mother told him, be strong like an ox! Suddenly a gang of raiders came down from the north came to torch the village to ashes. A horn blew. It was the raider chieftain Kai Tai s way of terrifying the villagers. Outside the Barn two raiders were battering through the barn door, then Rye s mother said hide, son! Hide in the rafters! from his hiding place Rye saw the doomed doors explode into a shower of splinters and he saw his mother being dragged away. Rye remembered those horrendous moments. In frustration he would kick a stone for no purpose or reason. His father fought till his last breath and defending Rye, valiantly clutching his pitchfork. Rye had woken up from that dreadful nightmare, he was now somewhere unfamiliar a dark, dark place, where there was no light. It was the spirit realm of Gahem a quiet but deadly realm to stay in. The algorithm become more effective when the minimum difference $Delta Y_k$ is large between the transmission probability gains $Y_k$. Consequently, our algorithm finds an optimal solution coupled with linear complexity, when the network become more heterogeneous due to small ${rm N}$. Our algorithm also finds the optimal solution with an increased complexity, when the network becomes more homogeneous or less heterogeneous due to increasing ${rm N}$. The quantization precision ${rm N}$ in Algorithm 1, is a physical quantity specified by the underlying network that elaborate the designing of quantization step. The total content size $H$ depends on the required content transmission rate $r_{c_i, d_i}$ and $Y_k$, whereas $Y_k sigma$ are defined by the contact dynamics of the nodes in a network. However, if the network is difficult by the required level of transmission ratio, the values of $Y_k$ and the value of $Delta Y_k$, such that $rm N$ is too large, then the designer may have to comprise by reducing the desired level of transmission ratio to reduce $rm N$. • 10. How The Body Works Is Incredibly Complex, But A Wonderful... One Mischievous Little Organ The way our body works is incredibly complex, but a wonderful thing that we are given. Without everything working it would be hard to do simple tasks. When certain things do shut down or stop working properly it can ruin a life. The littlest of organs can have an enormous effect on the body which it did on me. The thyroid a small organ on the front of your neck gave me some serious problems for about 2 years. From little things like sleep, appetite, and headaches it quickly scaled to many more major things like heart palpations and severe dehydration. It may seem like something useless in the body, but I will never forget what it caused, and how hard it was to overcome it. That little organ did way more than it probably knew it could do which was giving me a completely different outlook on life itself. How could one simple thing do that to my entire body. I would ask later on when I finally figured out who the culprit of my sickness was. That thyroid caused many problems around the ages of 14 16. The first sign of this takes me back all the way to eighth grade where I was just incredibly tired. I felt absolutely horrible physically I couldn t get out of bed, and it was hard to do some simple tasks like walking. I would be out of school for two days when my mother who thought it was the flu that was affecting eventually made an appointment for the doctor to get whatever was causing me to be this sick figured out, so I could be back to shape. ... • 11. Essay On Determinism Vs Free Will The Determined Will of Man Freedom and power are luxuries all humans desire. Since the dawn of humanity, man struggled and persevered through nature s unforgiving vicissitudes, but emerged fervently from them with the stern intent of actuating his ever evolving desires. The debate between determinism and free will has raged since antiquity, and the main difference between them lies in an element of control; the one outer and the other inner, respectively. Determinism is the philosophical idea that every event or state of affairs, including every human decision and action, is the inevitable and necessary consequence of antecedent states of affairs. Free will, on the other hand, is the power of acting without the constraint of necessity or ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Human desire can only be expressed effectively through the attainment of power, provided it is desired; therefore, human action is determined by desire. Altruism is acting with an unselfish regard for others. Cooperative behavior enabled our ancestors to further enhance their survivability under harsh conditions, which clarifies the notion that when we make the effort to give without expectations of reciprocity, we feel fulfilled and energized. The previous sentence hinges upon the illicit negative fallacy, which is an argument whose conclusion of a standard form is affirmative, but at least one of the premises is negative. If the effort to give without expectations of reciprocity is true, then the expected feeling of fulfilment and energy mustn t be felt in order for the statement to be considered cogent; however, it was maintained that it was felt; therefore, the statement is fallacious. Thence, from the example provided, it can be concluded that altruism is nonexistent. Altruism and free will are mutually inclusive; if altruism is nonexistent, then free will is also nonexistent. Actions which spring from internal control are guided by free will; those which spring from external forces are guided by determinism. Desire is a constituent part of human nature, which necessitates actions whose ends are directed toward benefiting the director. Since our actions are determined by our desires in all cases, free will cannot possibly exist, because if it were to exist, our actions could be directed toward ends other than ... • 13. Regional Antibiotic Resistance Of Helicobacter Pylori Review Article Regional Antibiotic Resistance of Helicobacter pylori Abstract Antibiotic resistance is the main factor accounting for unsuccessful eradication of Helicobactor pylori (H. pylori). Being knowledgeable of the regional resistance rates of H. pylori isolates can regulate not only the empiric antibiotic therapy but also lead to second line treatment and rescue regiments. At present, the most common treatment is empiric eradication, thus, global regional regiment therapies should be based upon regional in vitro antibiotic resistance rates. This approach is crucial in successfully treating the individual patient. However, in regions where antibiotic susceptibility testing is unavailable, epidemiological data for secondary H. pylori resistance are essential for the rational use of antibiotics following several treatment failures in. Primary H. pylori resistance to clarithromycin is generally less prevalent worldwide than H. pylori resistance to metronidazole. Secondary resistance that develops in vivo in previously susceptible organisms has been documented in cases of therapeutic failures. All antibiotics used to treat H. pylori are also widely employed to treat other bacterial infections, therefore, pretreatment exposure of H. pylori to inadequate levels of these drugs as well as the use of inadequate regional antibiotics, is associated with secondary resistance. Herein, we review regional resistance rates of H. pylori isolates to clarithromycin, metronidazole and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Frye further argues how an observer failing to see why the cage is a prison to the bird is like someone failing to treat oppression as a whole (151). The author s creative approach spurred me to think of other bird cages presently in our society. Specifically, I wonder how the people within the bird cages I present become invisible in the cage. For instance, prisons and psychiatric hospitals are a representation of a bird cage. Judith Plaskow Research Paper Judith Plaskow Judith Plaskow began her study of feminism while pursuing a Phd at Yale and continued on to cofound B not Esh, a Jewish feminist spirituality collective, as well as author many theological books (Braude, 2004, pg 219). She grew up in a Reform Judaism household and as a child focused on ethical monotheism , which lead to her study of the Holocaust and the development of a self image of victimhood (2004, pg 220). It was Naomi Weisstein, a psychologist, who spoke to Plaskow women s group at Yale that really spurred her to reconsider her own ambitions in life (2004, pg 221). In her discovery of feminism, Plaskow felt that she was able to move past her self identity as a victim and began to examine how her womanhood and Jewishness could contribute to the world (2004, pg 222). An Actor Prepares An Actor Prepares by Constantin Stanislavski Because I m usually immersed in web stuff, it s interesting to read a text whose ideas are still relevant to its target profession 70 years on. • 21. Karl Popper And Imre Lakatos Karl Popper and Imre Lakatos: Criteria of Demarcation In the effort to delineate between science and pseudoscience, a necessary set of factors by which to differentiate between the two, a set of criteria of demarcation becomes necessary. In the 20th century, several modern philosophers made attempts to outline criteria of demarcation, with differing results and reasoning, but several important similarities. Both Karl Popper and Imre Lakatos argued against the paradigm (no Kuhnian pun intended) of verificationism, which asserted that positive proof in favor of a scientific hypothesis adds credence to that hypothesis, and that a sufficient body of empirically supporting observations can indeed prove a theory. Popper fervently rejects the notion of verificationism as a criterion of demarcation in his creation and support of falsificationism, wherein only one refuting instance may condemn a theory, and only by a failure to disprove a theory can it be supported, not proven. As a modification of falsificationism, Imre Lakatos more relaxed definition of the criteria of demarcation between science and pseudoscience still supports the view that a sufficient number of refutations may constitute rejection of a theory, but argues for a more lenient treatment of fledgling scientific theories Popper rejects verificationism as a criterion of demarcation because, as he puts it, confirmations are plentiful when one is looking for them. • 24. Maria Montessori Beliefs On Early Childhood Education Maria Montessori was a philosopher that influenced early childhood education. Her beliefs and ideas align with my personal beliefs on early childhood education. Maria Montessori was an Italian physician, educator, and inventor. She used new educational methods that brought a new aspect and perspective to early childhood learning. Her methods proved successful as she continued to developed these ideas and became a well known and highly acclaimed philosopher. Maria Montessori believed that the environment influences how children learn. The prepared environment she created was colorful and implemented the five senses to facilitate learning. She believed each child should be motivated to learn new things. She encouraged these ideas through new materials, classrooms, and teaching procedures. The materials she created were didactic, meaning that they were self teaching. Lastly, Maria Montessori believed that while teachers should be observers, they should also be demonstrators and work with every child. Each child was encouraged to let their natural instincts take the lead and explore, trying new things on their own rather than being forced. By observing the child s instincts and behaviors the teacher can tell what the child needs and how to provide them with the materials. I believe implementing the beliefs of Maria Montessori in my own future classroom will be the best way for each child to learn. This seems to be an easy question, at first, but begs a more in depth analysis to come to a conclusion. Organic definitions can vary by government, company and even individuals. Many people have their own ideas of what organic means. My personal definition, before this research assignment, was that organic products were grown with no pesticides, chemical additives, or preservatives and grown in a humane way. In the case of the meat we eat, how do we know that it is truly organic (hence the necessity for a more strict definition), and why do we even need it to be? There are several reasons for us to eat organic meat, depending on what the definition ultimately ends up being. One reason to eat organic meat is the fact of the spread of Bovine spongiform encephalopathy or what is more commonly known as Mad Cow Disease. On page 25, and 26 Vitrano and Cahn present a theoretical example of a man who engages in immoral behaviour in order to reduce the likelihood of him suffering from devastating consequences in the future. Fred is a married man who has devoted his life to gaining fame, wealth, and reputation, so when the physician attempts to end his affair with a flight attendant he met, she threatens to expose him to the world and risk him losing his career. Therefore the physician ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The example involves the decision between an ethical and moral decision that may hinder or flourish Kate and Joan s academic careers expansion. If one says yes regardless of the repercussions they will be rewarded for this decision. If one says no they may not be offered the opportunities for high faculty positions. Joan was interviewed for a first rate school, during her interview the dean assured her that the job could be hers, as long as she agreed to pass all of the varsity athletes in a future class of hers with passing grades, unless their work was utterly disappointing. Joan rejected this position having cared more about academic integrity, than money, or prestige. On the other hand, Kate was then offered the same position as Joan and instead decided to accept the offer given by the dean. Kate was later awarded with a very successful career, became a popular teacher and a renowned researcher, while Joan was forced to purse a path that didn t satisfy her because she was never again offered a faculty position, she continued living her live unhappily. In the end, Kate would occasionally look back at her original decision and view that she was had no choice but to make accept if she wanted to embark on her path to a wonderful ... • 41. Fiscal Policies In Canada Fiscal policies as described by Evie Adomait are any and all budgetary matters that relate to the government, also referred to as the Department of Finance in these specific cases (p146). As we all know, our current Prime Minster is Liberal and so the government s fiscal policies will be focused more on investing and subsidizing social services. Prime Minister Trudeau has expressed to Canada and other global leaders that he has no intentions of balancing the budget and urges others to do the same. The Canadian government is focusing heavily on increasing government spending and as a result, we are seeing an accumulation of debt that continues to grow at an exponential rate. Before I proceed, it is important to make clear that I myself am fiscally ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As it stands the government is spending far beyond its means and is running excessive deficits that will have a huge impact on the economy for years to come. After a single year we have already witnessed the large decline in value of the Canadian dollar. The government should not be expanding their means through fiscal policies that promote such debt. This places a burden on the taxpayers of the country and the economy as a whole. My argument stands from the fact that the government receives its income from the personal income of its residents and corporations. Taxpayers elect a government on the basis that they will represent the needs of the people and an important factor in this election process includes the proposed tax rates of each political government. When a political government sets the tax rate it is recorded in legislation and signifies that those funds should suffice. When a government begins to overspend and suffer from a deficit they are forced to increase tax rates; our current government is a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Which is why Resident Evil 7 is said to be more than that. Resident Evil 7: Biohazard is going to be different. It is described to be a major course correction from Resident Evil 4. It opens up in a scary house in the teaser demo released. The demo, titled Beginning Hour, looks nothing like its predecessors. The series seems to be distant in feature, for RE 7. Comparing RE 4 and Biohazard, The Verge has it that the only thing these games have in common are both games can t be played today. Resident Evil 7: Biohazard brings back the horror. The demo features the Kitchen. In the Virtual Reality demo, the vibe is similar to the Saw. You start with a chair, and your hands are tied. But that VR demo makes it quite immersive for players. • 43. Evolution Of Human Evolution Introduction The human species has depended on a material culture for millions of years. Without it, humans would not be able to survive. Many people believe that because we have so many technological advancements and that humans can build or make anything necessary for their survival. Even with the current technology and other advancements, research has proven that humans are still evolving. Much of the evolution that is happening today has to do with the human genome and adapting to current issues in the world. There has been much research done on the human genome and how it is still mutating and changing. Natural selection has a big part in how the genome changes. Mutations are another point to look at when determining if the human species is still evolving. A third point to look at is gene flow and how that affects different populations. The purpose of this paper is to review multiple different articles to establish whether or not the human species is currently evolving. The articles used for this paper confirm that humans continue to evolve. While humans have the technology and skills to make their environments suit their needs, it can clearly be seen that humans continue to evolve and adapt. Review of the Literature Mutations Some mutations in an allele increase to a greater frequency in a short period of time due to natural selection. Examples of this include alleles in the gene for lactase persistence so that adults can break down lactose in dairy products and in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 45. Who Is The Bystander In Lord Of The Flies The first psychological theory to focus on is the bystander effect: a social psychological experience where an individual, usually placed in a group, is less motivated towards a goal to benefit self or victims. The bystander effect can be shown in various situations, such as bullying, protesting, debates and more. In the novel Lord of the Flies by William Golding, there are many instances where characters, mostly littluns, supported as bystanders to the bullying of Piggy by Jack. From the beginning Jack immediately displays a dislike for Piggy for talking too much, coming to a point where he insults Piggy by calling him Fatty in front of everyone. This later affects the children s decisions to vote for a leader, and even though the intelligence...shown was traceable to Piggy...there was a stillness about Ralph as he sat that marked him out: there was his size, and attractive appearance; and most powerfully, there is the conch (22). ... Golding displays an apathetic tone on the subject of bullying and the bystander effect; for example, Golding doesn t reveal much information on the bystanders, but mainly focuses on the struggles Piggy has to overcome to be heard, in other words, the bystanders are just background noise. The bystander effect shown in the children strike a significance because it torments Piggy to be recognised only as a fat kid with no other important role. Additionally, the bystander effect emotionally abuses victims, such as Piggy, into believing no one else will help, and in return, bystanders will accept bullying and restrain from interfering unless someone stronger stands up.
