Carrie Wong. It features a deep national theme that is manifested in the inland China Hong Kong
contention, a feature that has been prevalent throughout the modern years of China. The plot centers
around two sharply contrasting female characters, Fan, who is a Hong Kong native and Yan who is
from Northeast China and her illegal neighbor. Yan is illegally residing in Hong Kong for the
economic reasons and involves in prostitution with the hope of a better future. Fan on the other hand,

Earthquakes are monitored by seismometers. There are 3 websites that record and report these
earthquakes by the United States Geographical Survey s Earthquake Hazards Program. One of the
website that I use was USGS.GOV/ Yellowstone and earthquakes and volcanoes
I found that these websites apply earth science collections that are needed for land use planning or
emergency preparation choices. Sadly, these websites do not predict the earthquakes.
Next, the volcano hazards program of the United States Geographical Survey s Volcano Hazards
program helps scientists understand volcanic process and also to decrease the harmful outcomes of the
volcanic activity. The program watches active or volcanos that have the potential to be active, it asses
their toxic hazards, it answers to volcanic catastrophes, and lastly, it conducts it research on how the
volcanoes work. This website focuses on making sure we get warnings of potential volcanic hazards.

Foreshadowing And Allusion In The American Nightmare
The language in the short story The American Nightmare by Priyam Misra convinces the reader that
accomplishing the American Dream and fitting in society is not easy for those that immigrated to the
United States. Through the use of foreshadowing and allusion, the reader is clued into the struggle for
American identity, like ... complete opposites in looks but they seemed to bond over things like boys,
AP classes, parents, and their favorite TV show, Pretty Little Liars, and Ben and Jerry s ice cream.
