The Garden City By Ebenezer Howard
In the late 19th century, utopian ideals ran rampant as a response to the unsustainable situation
caused by the rise of industrialization. The poverty and squalor people were experiencing caused
them to embrace extreme Utopian ideas. They believed that it could potentially take them out of
their current condition. Utopia, though, is difficult to define, but within the context of this time
period it is defined as a belief in the perfectibility of humanity a basic goodness in human nature
(Tarlow, 301). By this definition, one of the only ideas of this time period that was truly utopian
was the Garden City Movement. The Garden CityConcept was created by Ebenezer Howard in
1898. The ideas of it are outlined in Howard s book: Garden Cities of To morrow. It is utopian in
both how it was conceived and the general concept. Its focus on collaboration, social change, and
pragmatism rather than on rebellious escapism made it a revolutionary idea that still continues to
influence city planning to this day. To better understand the reasoning behind Howard s garden city
concept, it is important to examine the impact of the industrial revolution on London and all of
Britain. The rise of industrialization caused the urban population to grow as many left the rural
countryside to seek new jobs. Industrialization led to a period of economic prosperity, but the cities
often had unsuitable waste disposals and polluted water supplies. In addition, there was a housing
issue and there were

Exploring Soft Skills
During the interview process, many candidates feel pressured to only focus on their hard skills.

qualities that can set you apart from other candidates when applying for a job. Although it s
necessary to have the desired knowledge and experience in order to qualify for the position, the
manner in which you apply your experience in the workplace is what makes you stand out.
Hiring managers want to know if you have the ability to lead, collaborate, and listen to others.
Essentially, they want to be positive you are truly the right fit for their company. If you re
wondering how you can sell your soft skills during your next interview, check out these helpful

Remember, you want to sell your soft skills in a way that will catch the hiring manager s
attention. Many people overlook the power of soft skills, so if you can use examples from your
experience to support them, it will make you a much stronger candidate for the position. To
illustrate your soft skills, you want to use a situation from your experience to support your
abilities. You could also select an accomplishment story to serve as an example, too. First, you
want to make sure you describe the situation or event where you had to utilize your soft skills.
Explain to the interviewer the specific skills you used and how you had to implement them. After
you describe the scenario, explain the positive outcome of the event. This way, the hiring manager
will know exactly what you have to offer and how your soft skills and strengths can make a
positive impact on their company. Explain

Bruce Dawe Poem Themes
Bruce Dawe, a well known Australian poet, writes about a variety of topics, including death,
suicide, cruelty and apathy of society, destruction of the environment, prejudice and the
senselessness of war. Dawe uses vivid visual and aural poetic techniques to express his emotions
towards the theme of the poem. This helps the reader grasp a better understanding of what Dawe
is writing about. The poems being discussed are his poem Life Cycle which describes the life of
being like an AFL player; the poem Soliloquy for One Dead known as a very emotive poem,
which deals with the thought of loss and the feeling of grief and lastly, Planning a Time Capsule

the aspects of nature, that if he could save he would. This is shown in the poem when he writes,

show enough care towards the environment as humans leave litter around. When Dawe states A

people realise drugs and worthless sex are issues that today s society is having. Dawe suggests in
this poem that society is raping nature s finest features. As written in the final stanza of this poem

Once in awhile she d come across some sort of berry she knew was okay to eat. The bright red,

There were other berries in the woods, but she knew some of them were deadly. She had come
across some fat blue berries that looked edible and had almost tasted them, and then she saw a
dead sparrow lying under the bush. It was too close a call, she decided not to try anything else
unless she knew exactly what it was, no matter how hungry they got.

The thick bushes with their leathery green leaves, and twisting branches, were a tangled growth
well over the height of her head. She had moved halfway up on a mountainside. Now, the ravine
the creek was in was narrow, and steep all the way down to the water. It was very hard to see any
distance ahead of her while walking in the heavy cover. She was following some sort of game trail
that skirted the side of the mountain but away from the openness of the stream. She turned a
corner and started down a gradual slope when something dark caught her eyes on the trail ahead. It
was two black bear cubs rolling around and wrestling with each other. She stood and watched
their comical antics and couldn t help but chuckle at how much they looked like little children
who teased and poked and chased each other in play. One cub would wrap its arm around the
other s neck and chew on its ear. Then the victim would break away and circle right back to jump
on the back of its sibling. All thoughts left her mind for a few moments as she saw them play in
their wild home. She had never been so close to animals like this before and was riveted in place
by fascination. Then Christopher got restless, cried aloud, and suddenly both cubs stopped
playing and looked towards her. When they saw her standing there, they became alarmed and
separated. Each one ran up a separate tree by the path. Once in the trees they looked her way and

Slavery Is the Most Dehumanizing and Aspect of Human Life...
It is the most dehumanizing and intrusive aspect of every human s life that it touches. Slavery is
the very institution that affects the social, economic, and cultural aspects of every person s life.
Although many people viewed slavery as a necessity, others have strong critiques of the
institution. We are able to gain knowledge of these very critiques by the first hand accounts of
Mary Prince in the narrative The History of Mary Prince and From the Darkness Cometh the Light
by Lucy Delaney. In the narratives, Prince and Delany communicate to the reader a plethora of
critiques to slavery. The most powerful critiques that Prince and Delaney agree upon are the

In order to manipulate the minds of the slaves, owners would feed them minimal food, demand
them to work in harsh conditions, and implicit harsh punishment. In A Shining Thread of Hope
by Darlene Hine, she describes the harsh punishment that slaves would endure. She says, Slaves
who ran away were branded with the initials of their owners or had portions of their bodies
amputated. (45) By doing this, it conditioned the slaves to not act in accordance with the rules
and believe that they need their masters for survival. Mary Prince also describes the harsh
conditions that she was placed under when she describes working on the island. She states,
Owing to the boils on my feet, I was unable to wheel the barrow fast through the sand [...] and
made me stumble at every step; and my master not having any pity for sufferings [...] by
chastising for not being able to move as fast as he wished. (10) The conditions that slaves were
expected to live and work in were described as outrageous. Not only did it disregard the slaves as
being human beings, but also it made them develop the mindset that they are not able to live in any
other condition. It was common for slaves to accept the treatment that they got because they knew
that if they were to be set free, the conditions that they are placed under might be worse due to
ignorance on their part. The most powerful critique of slavery in the

The topic of legalizing recreational marijuana in the United States has been a very controversial
one. States such as Colorado and Washington have gone on the offensive and have legalized
recreational marijuana and have enjoyed the high revenues brought in from cannabis sale. On the
other hand other states have kept low profiles because they are wary of the possible negative
outcomes of legalizing recreational marijuana and are using the states of Colorado and
Washington as guinea pigs to see what their next course of action on this controversial topic
should be. This is not only a highly debated topic among politicians, but also by the people.

Meanwhile marijuana has not accounted for a single death in the United States. This has led many
teenagers to switch over to marijuana and by legalizing it the switch to a safer drug would
continue and it would also make it cheaper than other illicit drugs. This correlation can be seen
by the statistics provided by the NIDA (National Institute of Drug Abuse) 2011 study. About
25% of teens surveyed said they tried marijuana at least once last year, a statistically significant
rise of about 4% since 2007. Additionally, 6.6% of 12th graders also admitted to smoking weed
daily (Gwynne). The study has also shown historic lows of use of alcohol and cigarettes since
1981.Over the past 20 years, from 1991 to 2011, the proportion of 8th graders reporting any use
of alcohol in the prior 30 days has fallen by about half (from 25% to 13%), among 10th graders
by more than one third (from 43% to 27%), and among 12th graders by about one fourth (from
54% to 40%), (Gwynne). As teenagers will always continue to experiment with illegal substances,
its best we influence them with the safest drug, marijuana. This change is already happening as
NIDA studies have shown teenager marijuana use at historic highs and alcohol and cigarette use at
historic lows, and will continue if marijuana is perceived as safe and becomes cheaper with

action to fix these issues instead of just mentioning them for political gain. In a way this poem is
trying to achieve the same thing. Phillis is asking for equality and freedom and many people
suffering from discrimination today are asking for equality as well. A quote from her poem can

Why Soccer Is Important To Me Essay
I kick the ball and position myself to kick the ball again but before I can a girl from my team
comes and takes it away, and before she can kick it a girl slides and tackles her. Now the other
team gets a corner kick. At the same time on the bench I can hear coach yelling at the top of his
lungs to get on the 18 and to look out for the corner and to not forget the girl from the other team
behind me. Next to coach I see a girl telling him that his pick for formation is extremely
intelligent and that his coaching is superb. The girl from the other team kicks the ball. It s a
goal. The goal keeper just turns to us and said you were supposed to prevent that and follows it up
by rolling her eyes and says if you are not going to block that then why are you even playing .

we have all meet that one teammate which is to tough, to loud, too good, too bad, and to

football played between two teams of 11 players, in which the ball may be advanced by kicking

This movie portrays cyborgs as both good for humanity and dangerously bad. Starting with the

but a danger to the integrity of humanity as a whole. Imagine if the hacker decided to hack in to

Opioid Withdrawal Research Paper
Complications of Opioid Withdrawal Symptoms
Although opioid withdrawal symptoms are not life threatening, they can be very uncomfortable and
painful. Additionally, some of these symptoms can lead to medical complications. For example, a
patient who experiences nausea and vomiting can accidentally inhale vomit into their lungs. This is
known as aspiration, and it can result in a specific type of pneumonia called aspiration pneumonia.
Patients who experience both vomiting and diarrhea can lose critical fluids and electrolytes. This
can cause a heart arrhythmia, which can lead to a heart attack. As a result, it s very important to
replace fluids and electrolytes lost due to diarrhea and vomiting. Doctors can also prescribe
medications to reduce diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting.

occurs happen when someone has just gone through the withdrawal process. Since this process
reduces a person s tolerance to opioids, people can overdose on a much smaller dose than they
used to take. It is a tragic situation, and the best way to prevent it is to with medical intervention
and caring support during the process of recovering from opioid use.
Diagnosing and Treating Opioid Withdrawal
A doctor can formally diagnose opioid withdrawal by performing a physical exam and asking
questions about a patient s symptoms, medical history, and past drug use. They can also order
blood and urine tests to assess the levels of opioids in the body.
Symptoms of opioid withdrawal can be very uncomfortable, which can encourage people to
continue taking opioid drugs as a way to avoid the side effects. Other people may believe that they

IKEA has also used extensive manual work in its planning processes and the planning was based
on fragmented and unreliable Planning information. Hence, there was a lack of trust between

Gaap Case 15-1

Argue for current GAAP treatment for the issuance and subsequent reporting of options and
warrants.
Stock options and warrants give the holder the right to purchase a share of stock at a
predetermined price within a given time period. According to Richard G Schroeder in the textbook
Financial Accounting Theory and Analysis: Text and Cases, under current GAAP the cash inflow
received from these securities needs to be reported as equity. The value reported in subsequent
periods is historical and does not change in response to changes in the market value of these
securities.
SFAC No. 6 defines equity as the residual interest in the assets of an entity that remains after
deducting its liabilities. If options and warrants do not meet the definition of liabilities, then they
must meet the definition of equity. A liability is an obligation that embodies a future sacrifice of
assets. The company owes no assets to option or warrant holders. There is no present obligation to
surrender assets or perform services. If stock options and warrants do not meet the definition of ...

Christian Beliefs
As a Christian school, we must come up with a list of statements that describe who we are and
what we believe. As Christians, there are certain doctrines that we believe in like the doctrine of
the Bible or the doctrine of the church. From the WCS statement of faith, I chose three statements
to interview my pastor about. The first one I choose stated that: We believe in the present
indwelling ministry of the Holy Spirit, whose intercessory and sanctifying work continually renews
the Christian and enables him to live a godly life in conformity with the Scripture. (John 14:15 17)

Analysis Of Peter Singer s Argument On Famine, Affluence,...
I m a strong believer in that anyone can make their own choices in life. There is no such thing as
moral obligation in my books, however there does exist courtesy or kind heartedness. Peter Singer s
argument regarding famine, affluence, and morality is, in my opinion, strongly influenced by
sympathetic and empathetic feelings based on observations in a still developing country. In a
sense, his reasoning is subjective and biased because he seems to focus only on the problem, and
not the circumstances that could have prevented such problems from the beginning. I will elaborate
on some of the loopholes in his arguments, and further clarify why the more fortunate people (in
terms of wealth) should NOT be morally obligated to help the poor, rather they should have the
choice of being courteous or kind, and they should have the freedom to spend the money they
worked so hard for according to their own agenda. To start, I would like to establish that suffering
and death from lack of food and other necessities is indeed a bad thing. There is no counter
argumentto that statement. However, the problem lies in the second and third premises, which
states that (2) if it is in our power to prevent something bad from happening, then we have a moral
dutyto do it; (3) therefore, we have a moral duty to help the poor. According to Singer, the second
premise is comprised of a strong and weak argument. The strong argument states that the wealthy
people should help the poor people at a

The author from The Atlantic discusses the effect that the publisher of these conspiracy theories
has on the American citizens. It is harmful as these theories have become normalized through
politics, a great portion of many lives and has led them to have their free mind almost being

platform across the web as stated through Gale Databases. As it has spread to websites and social
media it has become hard to distinguish the real from the fake if you are constantly being
surrounded by the fake. The question of why so many people believe in conspiracy theories can

Intellect Vs Test Scores Essay
Intellect VS. Test Scores
Growing up, I never really had a problem with tests. I didn t necessarily enjoy taking them,
however I thankfully never got too apprehensive. I looked at them as a way to determine my
intelligence, and would gladly share my scores both good and bad with my peers. Looking back on
my perception of tests, I find that my point of view was ignorant to the fact that test scores whether
they are standardized or not do not determine a person s intellect. In the state of North Carolina,
students take their first standardized test in third the grade. Commonly known as the End of Grade
test (EOG), its purpose is to ...measure student performance on the goals, objectives, and grade
level competencies specified in the North Carolina Standard Course of Study. In layman s terms,
this test is simply to see if the student has met all of the requirements, and is fit to advance to the
next grade level. A variety of standardized tests are given every year until the student graduates high
school. High school students particularly, tend to be the most apprehensive when it comes to test

The Fight-Or-Flight Response
The fight or flight response is a very important reaction of the human body. It can help us decide
whether a situation is suitable to fight back or flee for safety. In many ways the fight or flight
response can be useful in a stressful setting that would be difficult to decide for ourselves. Think
of it as a bodyguard, it protects you when your body is faced with a risky situation. Likewise, it can
tell your brainif a setting is too dangerous to fight in and would be better to just run. The fight or
flight responseis a real thing and not an excuse to act cowardly in dangerous situations. Studies have

There are many symptoms associated with the physiological responses of the fight or flight

the dangerous and stressful environment we call our world. Finally, to summarize the steps of the
fight or flight response. First, a threat or stimuli are perceived by the retina and signals are sent to
the brain. Next, the brain processes the signals and determines whether the threat is real. Then, the
adrenal medulla is sent synapses from the cerebrum and secretes a liquid with high levels of
adrenaline called epinephrine. After that, the secreted adrenaline is mixed with glucose. Next, the
adrenaline and glucose are rushed throughout the bloodstream and to the muscles. The muscles then

The British Voting System, Undemocratic
This essay will be dealing with the question how the British voting system tends to be undemocratic
in comparison with two other European voting systems the French and German. The United
Kingdom counts five distinct types of elections: UK general elections, elections to national/regional
parliaments and assemblies, electionsto the European Parliament, local elections and mayoral
elections.(wikipedia, 2008).According to the facts and in comparison with the French and German
systems, the British voting systemmight be undemocratic. Held generally each four years ( in the
UK, Ireland, Norway) or five years( in France), elections suppose a certain democracy. But what is a

Whoever comes in the government reflects the majority s desire. In this point, this system tends to
be more democratic than the First Past the Post system in the UK and the voters are encouraged to
vote with their hearts in the first round and then vote with their heads . ( European Politics, pp
134) There is in this system more place and chance for big and small parties.
The Federal Republic of Germany, a federal parliamentary republic of sixteen states uses a mixed
system. In this system, voters are given two votes. One to vote for a candidate in their local
constituency or district; the other to vote for a list in a multimember constituency. (European
Politics, pp 135). The benefit or advantage of this system is that it ensures, whatever the results of
the constituency, the overall result of the election in a more or less proportionally way. For this
reason this list, the list in a multimember constituency, is a compensatory one. As has been
demonstrated, voters in Germany even get 2 votes, which makes this system more democratic
than any other. The voters really have the feeling that their voices are important, that they can
decide who they want in the government and there is no feeling of wasted voices. Besides, a
chance is also given to all parties and the fight for power is not only in the hands of a few groups.
In this option, the mixed system seems also more democratic than the British one.
Initially, one of the most widely used system, the

Men who when stark sober could let themselves go , men who were in dread of convention, were
utterly different beings when they drank. For alcohol made most men bold. Most timid men like
the feeling of boldness (Anonymous 122). As depicted in both stories, alcohol can be used as a
tool to help people break out of their shell and discover traits that they never knew existed.
Alcohol can also leave many physical effects on a person s body. Zailckas described her first
ever blackout by receiving details from her friends and parents because she herself could not

your vomit is a common effect of alcohol abuse and has led to many people suffocating and
dying. She explained how she woke up in a hospital bed with bruises all over from her also
drunken friends dropping her while trying to carry her lifeless body. Being as though the people
that she was with were also intoxicated, her situation was worsened and more damage was done.
Along with the physical consequences of drinking, alcohol can have many negative effects on a

Herman Melville s Bartleby, The Scrivener
Herman Melville s Bartleby, the Scrivener
Born in New York City on August 1st, 1819, Herman Melville led a life that commenced in partial
fame and success, but ended in poverty and despair. Although unjustly criticized for the purposeless
extravagance and disorderliness of his writing, due to his digressions into many different topics
while discussing a single one, especially in his most celebrated novel today, though most criticized
and unappreciated in his time, Moby Dick, Herman Melville is considered one of the most important
figures in American Literature today. Herman Melville is the most Shakespearean of our authors,
according to Herald Bloom, an American literary critic. Other literary critics deem his works the
most crucial achievements in American literature, and literary creations of a high order blending
fact, fiction, adventure and subtle symbolism. Melville communicated his genius not only through
his impeccable use of language and engrossing creation of plot, but also and mainly through his
development of more than merely unique or odd characters characters he called original. Noting
Melville s view of himself as an author, more than that of himself as a person, is significant to the
understanding of his notion of the original character, and to the understanding of his literary original
characters. It is especially essential to the understanding of one of his most intriguing fictional
characters: Bartleby. In his short story Bartleby, the

The Privacy Of The Hipaa Privacy Laws
The Right to Keep It Hidden
Everyone hides behind a mask of what they want others to know, but when that mask is removed,
the private information nobody wants leaked spills out. Until 2003, there was no mask protecting
the confidentiality of peoples most private information, their private medical history. Before this
time, patients had no right to protect their medical information, and no control over who could
access it. The HIPAA PrivacyRule locked away the once open book of patients medical
information in a safe solely controlled by the patient. This federal law, created by the U.S.
Department of Health and Human Services, became the first federal healthcare information privacy
law , and addresses patients rights pertaining to their medical information (Solove 5). In order for
patients to continue to have medical privacy and control over their medical records, the HIPAA
Privacy Rule needs to remain a strongly enforced federal law.
The HIPAA Privacy Rule allows patients to be the dominant controller of their personal medical
information by giving them the choice to limit the accessibility of their medical record to others,
and the opportunity to obtain their medical record at any time (Solove 1). By giving the patient
access to his or her personal medical record, he or she is able to become aware of what
information is inside. This gives the patient the opportunity to address a mistake in the medical
information with his or her doctor. If the doctor disagrees with the

The Rock Opera Jesus Christ Star
The rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar was written by Tim Rice, then 25 year old lyricist and
Andrew Lloyd Webber, then 21 year old composer. The rock opera portrays the last seven days of
the life of Jesus as it was seen through the Judas eyes. This piece of art is considered as a fairly
radical rock hybrid concerning the final days of the life of Jesus. This was the third musical that
had been written by Webber and Rice. His long fascination with Judas Iscariot made him perceive
Judas as a dear friend of Jesus who was struggling with the consequences of the growing celebrity
of Jesus rather than a craven betrayer of Christ (Evita Music, pg. 16).
Despite this musical finding broad support among the vast liberal Christian churches, the piece was
nonetheless too controversial as to get financial backing that was essential for its stage production.
The lyrics of this musical were particularly clunky and its score normally overwrought. Despite this,
this musical was the turning point of popular cultural representation of Jesus as it consequently
made a powerful statement concerning the celebrity figure in the process.
Thesis statement: The musical, Jesus Christ Superstar is about the suffering as well as the pain that
was caused to an individual by the dehumanizing effect of fame.
Jesus representation in Jesus Christ Superstar was particularly influenced by the Jesus Movement
as well as the hippie culture that emerged in California in the late 60s. This prompted several

How Media Organizations Produce Audiences And Markets
This segment will review variety of literature exploring on how and why media organizations
produce audiences and markets. The different types of audience theories there are will explore this,
and how the audience reacts within these theories. There are many various audience theories out
there, however six will be explored.
The word audience is so much part of our everyday talk that its complexity is often taken for
granted. (Ross Nightingale 2003)
Today, media is surrounding us, whether it is television, films, magazines, games, radio, music, the
news, and even billboards and posters, and we don t even acknowledge it, unless it hits us in the

Hall also suggested that the way an audience reacts, is dependant on their cultural backgrounds and
how they were brought up, for example, if the mass media s intended message is fruit is great, it
all depends if an individual has been brought up to dislike fruit, etc. the audience is also given more
credit, and it s understood that they mat react in different ways.
Reception theory is the social interaction aspect, and the Two Step Flow theory is also similar.
Formulated first in the The People s Choice, the hypothesis suggests that ideas often flow from
radio and print to the opinion leaders and from them to the less active sections of the population.
(Lazarfield and Katz, 1970)
Paul Felix Lazerfiled originally came up with this theory, and then later, Elihu Katz began
working with him. The two of them looked at during the presidential elections, how the votes
make up the audience s minds and wrote a book exploring the different factors of it. They
speculated how the mass media connects with people, however this communication is routed
through opinion leaders. These people are very media literate and they link their understanding
to others. The mass media uses comedians as the opinion leaders, as they take real life news, and
analyse it in a comical way, and the mass media probably entrust the comedians more, as they
come across less bias and less of an agender, and the public find the news sometimes so bias, it was
almost comical. Two Step Flow theory is

Classical Music and Its Affect On Society
How Classical Music Has Affected Society
Music and society have always been intimately related. Music reflects and creates social conditions.
Music s interconnection with society can be seen throughout history. Every known culture on the
earth has it. Music seems to be one of the basic actions of humans. The influence of it on society
can be clearly seen through ancient to modern history. The strongest effect given off from a genre
of music would have to be classical music. The genre s ability to increase one s ability to learn has

Melody and rhythm are the two essential components of music that work in very different ways:
melody is the essence that boosts creative thinking, while rhythm synchronizes these emotions with
the vital patterns. Human beings have since long been tied to musical tempos. The rhythms in the
heart beat, walking, jumping, speaking, chewing, and breathing all represent important patterns in
our life. It is this particular musical rhythm that increases the level of serotonin produced in the
brain, therefore enhancing critical thinking. What makes this music so valuable is the rigorous
mathematical order it offers.
We all know how greatly music affects our feelings and energy levels! Without even thinking about
it, we use music to create desired moods to make us happy, to enjoy movement and dance, to
energize, to bring back powerful memories, to help us relax and focus. As mentioned, Classical
music had three intent abilities: to teach, grow and heal.

Summary Of Long Term Memory In Mrs. Dalloway
Humans possess the feature of long term memory, which enables their past experiences to
continuously affect their contemporary lives. Though long term memory is a significant
component in the development of an individual s identity, many times this factor prevents one
from discovering opportunities to modify one s present and future lives. One s long term
memory can cause a person to revisit and enhance false emotions about one s past to ultimately
lose sense of reality. In Mrs. Dalloway, Peter Walsh and Clarissa Dalloway reflect upon their
younger selves; however, they both result in different outlets to combat these thoughts. Peter
keeps a pocket knife with him in case his past with Clarissa confronts him though he chooses to
see Clarissa. As Peter physically comes back into Clarissa s life, she is determined to change her
feelings that her long term memory provokes in her especially concerning Peter. However, Rezia
and Septimus take a different approach to dealing with their long term memories, as Rezia wants to
rekindle her pre war relationship with Septimus, which is unsuccessful. Virginia Woolfuses the
motifs of cutting and sewing simultaneously to illustrate that to find contentment in one s current
life, one must cut off one s past to be able to progress forward into a new life.

Anasazi Influence On Native Americans
1. Adobe a mixture of clay/earth, water and various organic material that is molded into small
blocks and dried in the sun. Used to construct dwellings, bricks being fused with a mud made of a
similar formula. Its versatility, durability, uniformity, heat efficiency and simplicity to make / use
/ repair led to a widespread use. Popular with Native American tribes in a variety of locations.
Near the end of the Archaic Period, many Native American groups began to accept and implement
agriculture, as it provided a more reliable source of food. With the creation of planting fields came
the creation of permanent villages, and thereby the need for a new and more suitable building
material: adobe. Adobe provided long lasting and efficient shelter ... Show more content on

Astrolabe a complex type of inclinometer in the shape of a sphere or large circle used to chart the
positions of stars, planets, moon and Sun, which could then be used to estimate location (use
triangulation) and time. Originally invented around 150 B.C., it was greatly developed in the
Islamic world. Similar, the marine astrolabe, a large disc shaped instrument used for navigation
while at sea. The astrolabe was vital for the Spanish, French, and English exploration of the New
World. It allowed them to estimate their location, an important asset that allowed them to venture
further and further inland without losing their bearings. The marine astrolabe was crucial in the
accurate navigation to and from the New World. Without the marine astrolabe the Spanish, French
and English would not have been able to efficiently colonize the New World, as they would be
unsure of their landing points and could easily become hopelessly lost at sea.

Greek Society s Influence On Gender And Sexual Norms
Ancient Greek society had its own ideas and values on gender and sexual norms that were
reflected by the Olympian gods. These reflections often had small differences that separated the
Olympian gods from humans. Other times there was little reflection between the Olympain gods
and Ancient Greek society. Some of these reflections include the values of parthenoi, unmarried
women; pederasty, a type of male homosexuality; and lastly moicheia, illicit sexual relationships.
These reflections from Olympian gods to Greek society show how these values were important to
be included in religious tales. Parthenoi were women that were of an age where they could marry
but had yet to do so. Male sentiments of parthenoi ranged from the positive views that she was
captivating and necessary to continue human life and succession, while on the negative she was
seen as uncontrollable and wild like an animal. Men believed that women were always vulnerable to
reverting back to their untamed state of nature and so needed the guidance of men and their
protection. Marriage was one way of subduing women, reflected in a common term for wife, damar,
meaning tamed. It is for this reason that parthenoi were considered dangerous to be left unmarried.
This sentiment is reflected in the mortal parthenoi characters in mythology. Daphne is a mortal
parthenos figure who rejected the social expectation of marriage and joined Artemis hunters.
However, she later attracted the attention of Apollo who pursued her

Captain Chesley Sullenberger s Impact On Firefighters
This is the captain. Brace for impact! announced the captain. Brace, brace! Heads down! Stay
down! stated the flight attendants. These are some of the last words that were said on Flight
1549; a flight that landed in the Hudson river on a cold January day in 2009. The thrust of an
Airbus 320 was lost after Canada Geese hit the engines just a mere three after takeoff. The man
piloting the aircraft was Captain Chesley Sully Sullenberger. He was not alone on that fateful flight.
Along with Sully was First Officer Jeff Skiles as well as flight attendants: Doreen Welch, Donna
Dent, and Sheila Dail. Thanks to these miraculous people, everyone aboard that fateful flight
survived. Chesley Sullenbergerstarted flying when he was 16, and now he... Show more content on

then his grandparents (Sullenberger 6 15). Sully lost in touch with Mr. Cook in the late 70 s.
Mr. Cook died in 2001. After the landing on the Hudson River, Mr. Cook s widow sent Sully a

Ginger And The Natural Morning Sickness Remedies
Ginger And The Natural Morning Sickness Remedies
One of the most amazing fact about this herb is its power for treating morning sickness symptoms.
Several studies determined that ginger is equally as effective as vitamin B6 in treating vomiting
and nausea of pregnancy.
Because it s not advisable for your developing baby to be exposed to any drug, ginger being a herb
can be one of many safest cures for morning sickness.
Ginger tea has long been utilized for treating morning sickness in several countries. This beverage
is often made by slicing or grating moderate volume of peeled ginger roots poured with very hot
water and a few drops of honey and lemon to add flavor. In some areas of Asia, the tea is made by
boiling peeled, sliced ginger and in most cases added with brown sugar and lemon or sliced orange
to incorporate flavor.
In many studies, ginger has been verified to be more therapeutic than simply a placebo for
morning sickness and motion sickness. When other home treatments don t appear to work for you,
try the ginger tea, it s possibly all you need to get rid of the woes of morning sickness.
Vomiting and nausea could be the most terrible part of pregnancy. Even so, it can be controlled
when you understand the several natural cures for morning sickness. The therapies are probably
hiding within your kitchen. If you happen to know them, you may not have to go elsewhere.

John Adams And Abraham Lincoln
Despite the disparity in the popularity ratings between the two presidents, John Adams and
Abraham Lincoln are both indispensable figures in American history. In times of crisis, both of
these men made big, consequential decisions to keep the country from falling apart. However,
while Lincoln is commemorated for abolishing slavery and leading the Union in the Civil War,
John Adamsis remembered for the mistakes of his presidency the Alien and Sedition Acts he issued
that took away certain constitutional rights endowed to the American people. Both presidents
thought they were doing what was necessary at the time to keep the United Statesfrom falling apart,
but the contrasting approaches they used left opposite impressions. This can be contributed to the
fact that almost all aspects of their lives, personal and professional, were opposite. So, while both
presidents essentially did the same thing in saving America from falling apart, their reputations are
so different now because of the way their lives and situations influenced the decisions they made.
HBO s John Adams begins in 1770, as the colonies are on their way to revolting against the
British Crown. The series begins with Adams life right before the revolution and follows the rest
of his life for the first fifty or so years of American history. Before having anything to do with
politics, John was a lawyer, a fairly successful one. He and his wife Abigail have an amazing
relationship. Abigail makes up for all of John s

(Lock, 2007, p.348) in such circumstances if a relationship has been developed with a freight
specialist there may be an argument not to go out to competitive tender in the first place and adopt

Important Parts Of A Cell
Introduction
The body is made up of billions and billions of cells that make up tissues that make up organs,
which make up organ systems. Within those cells are organelles including but not limited to a
nucleus, organelles, and cytosol. Cells are one of the most basic units of our bodies. With that
being said, it is safe to say that cells are extremely important. There are many parts of a cell and
many ways that a cell works. One of the most important parts of a cell is the plasma membrane.
The plasma membrane is the outer surface of a cell, which is made up of things called
phospholipids, which form a phospholipid bilayer. This bilayer is made up of phospholipids
(75%), cholesterol (20%), and glycoproteins (5%). This bilayer is only possible due to the
phospholipids being amphipathic (polar and non polar parts). Phospholipids are composed of a
hydrophilic (water loving) head and 2 hydrophobic (water fearing) tails. The Plasma membrane
separates the cell s internal environment from its external environment. It also plays a key role in
communication among cells and between cells and their external environment, (Tortora 60).
Many different proteins are located all throughout the plasma membrane. Some float around freely
and others are stationary in specific locations. For example, integral proteins extend all the way
through the lipid bilayer and go further into the interior of the cell. This makes them transmembrane
proteins due to the fact that they go all the way

Cognitive Radio Ad Hoc Networks
Game Theoretic Approach to Detect Selfish Attacker in Cognitive Radio Ad Hoc Networks
Abstract In wireless communication, spectrum resources are utilized by authorities in particular
fields. Most of the elements in spectrum are idle. Cognitive radio is a promising technique for
allocating the idle spectrum into unlicensed users. Security shortage is a major challenging issue in
cognitive radio ad hoc networks (CRAHNs) that makes performance degradation on spectrum
sensing and sharing. A selfish user pre occupies the accessible bandwidth for their prospect usage
and prohibits the progress secondary users whose makes the requirement for spectrum utility. Game
theoretic model is proposed to detect the selfish attacker in CRAHNs. Channel state information
(CSI) is considered to inform each user s channel handing information. The two strategy of Nash
Equilibrium game model such as pure and mixed strategy for secondary users (SUs) and selfish
secondary users (SSUs) are investigated and the selfish attacker is detected. Moreover a novel
belief updating system is also proposed to the secondary users for knowing the CSI of the primary
user. A simulation result shows that, game theoretic model is achieved to increase the detection rate
of selfish attackers.
Keywords: Cognitive Radio, Security, Game theoretical model, Channel state information.

augmented or supplemented by computer generated sensory input example like sound, video,
graphic or GPS data in the augment reality.
Besides that s, augmented reality are required users to continue to be in touch with the
surrounding world because the users are still aware that they are in the real world as compared
to the full immersion in a virtual world. Normally the users are always use a related device such

Comparing Dracula And Bram Stoker s Dracula
Bram Stoker s Dracula is analogous to the 1958 movie Horror of Dracula. Dracula, a novel from
1897, is a story of a group of friends who battle for their lives against the curse of the vampire.
They fight for peace and clarity, in order to resume their daily lives. The Horror of Dracula, A
1958 film, is a story of two men that unite to save their family from the curse of the vampire.
Between both the film and the novel: the overall context, characters, and myths remain similar,
however small differences develop each story, leading to each ending. The movie, based off of
Bram Stoker s Dracula, has a storyline that remains focused on the novel. Between both the movie
and the novel, similarities and differences can be formed from the antagonist,... Show more content

Each of these similarities and differences are pivotal in the plot, character development, and ending
throughout each story. Dracula s character differentiates between the novel and the movie each
leaving a different effect on the audience. In Bram Stoker s Dracula, the Count is portrayed as
more powerful and demanding. In the contrary, The Horror of Dracula, displays the Count as
suspenseful and somewhat weaker than Stoker s Dracula. This may be ultimately related to each
ending as in Stoker s Dracula, the Count faced a more brutal death, whereas in The Horror of
Dracula, his death was done just by the shining of light. The differences in plot also contribute to
each ending. The character development throughout produces who ultimately kills Dracula in the
end. Throughout the novel, the characters are not only trying to save Mina, but they are also
trying to find Dracula s boxes of earth in order to kill him. Not until this is accomplished, can they
complete their quest to kill Dracula. In the film, they go straight after Dracula, as the boxes are not
mentioned in the film, which leads to a smoother, anticlimactic, ending. The differences in the
myths prove to have the greatest impact on the film, as they ultimately decide the ending. The
ending between the film and the movie are drastically different because of the myths displayed
throughout the film. The similarities and differences between The Horror of Dracula and Bram
Stoker s Dracula, not only allows each story to be manipulated in way that makes them unique, but
also allows them to remain closely

  • 2. The Garden City By Ebenezer Howard In the late 19th century, utopian ideals ran rampant as a response to the unsustainable situation caused by the rise of industrialization. The poverty and squalor people were experiencing caused them to embrace extreme Utopian ideas. They believed that it could potentially take them out of their current condition. Utopia, though, is difficult to define, but within the context of this time period it is defined as a belief in the perfectibility of humanity a basic goodness in human nature (Tarlow, 301). By this definition, one of the only ideas of this time period that was truly utopian was the Garden City Movement. The Garden CityConcept was created by Ebenezer Howard in 1898. The ideas of it are outlined in Howard s book: Garden Cities of To morrow. It is utopian in both how it was conceived and the general concept. Its focus on collaboration, social change, and pragmatism rather than on rebellious escapism made it a revolutionary idea that still continues to influence city planning to this day. To better understand the reasoning behind Howard s garden city concept, it is important to examine the impact of the industrial revolution on London and all of Britain. The rise of industrialization caused the urban population to grow as many left the rural countryside to seek new jobs. Industrialization led to a period of economic prosperity, but the cities often had unsuitable waste disposals and polluted water supplies. In addition, there was a housing issue and there were ... Bruce Dawe Poem Themes Bruce Dawe, a well known Australian poet, writes about a variety of topics, including death, suicide, cruelty and apathy of society, destruction of the environment, prejudice and the senselessness of war. She had moved halfway up on a mountainside. Now, the ravine the creek was in was narrow, and steep all the way down to the water. It was very hard to see any distance ahead of her while walking in the heavy cover. She was following some sort of game trail that skirted the side of the mountain but away from the openness of the stream. She turned a corner and started down a gradual slope when something dark caught her eyes on the trail ahead. It was two black bear cubs rolling around and wrestling with each other. She stood and watched their comical antics and couldn t help but chuckle at how much they looked like little children who teased and poked and chased each other in play. One cub would wrap its arm around the other s neck and chew on its ear. Then the victim would break away and circle right back to jump on the back of its sibling. All thoughts left her mind for a few moments as she saw them play in their wild home. She had never been so close to animals like this before and was riveted in place by fascination. Then Christopher got restless, cried aloud, and suddenly both cubs stopped playing and looked towards her. When they saw her standing there, they became alarmed and separated. Slavery is the very institution that affects the social, economic, and cultural aspects of every person s life. Although many people viewed slavery as a necessity, others have strong critiques of the institution. We are able to gain knowledge of these very critiques by the first hand accounts of Mary Prince in the narrative The History of Mary Prince and From the Darkness Cometh the Light by Lucy Delaney. In order to manipulate the minds of the slaves, owners would feed them minimal food, demand them to work in harsh conditions, and implicit harsh punishment. In A Shining Thread of Hope by Darlene Hine, she describes the harsh punishment that slaves would endure. She says, Slaves who ran away were branded with the initials of their owners or had portions of their bodies amputated. (45) By doing this, it conditioned the slaves to not act in accordance with the rules and believe that they need their masters for survival. Mary Prince also describes the harsh conditions that she was placed under when she describes working on the island. She states, Owing to the boils on my feet, I was unable to wheel the barrow fast through the sand [...] and made me stumble at every step; and my master not having any pity for sufferings [...] by chastising for not being able to move as fast as he wished. (10) The conditions that slaves were expected to live and work in were described as outrageous. Not only did it disregard the slaves as being human beings, but also it made them develop the mindset that they are not able to live in any other condition. It was common for slaves to accept the treatment that they got because they knew that if they were to be set free, the conditions that they are placed under might be worse due to ignorance on their part. This correlation can be seen by the statistics provided by the NIDA (National Institute of Drug Abuse) 2011 study. About 25% of teens surveyed said they tried marijuana at least once last year, a statistically significant rise of about 4% since 2007. Additionally, 6.6% of 12th graders also admitted to smoking weed daily (Gwynne). The study has also shown historic lows of use of alcohol and cigarettes since 1981.Over the past 20 years, from 1991 to 2011, the proportion of 8th graders reporting any use of alcohol in the prior 30 days has fallen by about half (from 25% to 13%), among 10th graders by more than one third (from 43% to 27%), and among 12th graders by about one fourth (from 54% to 40%), (Gwynne). As teenagers will always continue to experiment with illegal substances, its best we influence them with the safest drug, marijuana. Stock options and warrants give the holder the right to purchase a share of stock at a predetermined price within a given time period. According to Richard G Schroeder in the textbook Financial Accounting Theory and Analysis: Text and Cases, under current GAAP the cash inflow received from these securities needs to be reported as equity. The value reported in subsequent periods is historical and does not change in response to changes in the market value of these securities. SFAC No. 6 defines equity as the residual interest in the assets of an entity that remains after deducting its liabilities. If options and warrants do not meet the definition of liabilities, then they must meet the definition of equity. A liability is an obligation that embodies a future sacrifice of assets. • 18. Analysis Of Peter Singer s Argument On Famine, Affluence,... I m a strong believer in that anyone can make their own choices in life. There is no such thing as moral obligation in my books, however there does exist courtesy or kind heartedness. Peter Singer s argument regarding famine, affluence, and morality is, in my opinion, strongly influenced by sympathetic and empathetic feelings based on observations in a still developing country. In a sense, his reasoning is subjective and biased because he seems to focus only on the problem, and not the circumstances that could have prevented such problems from the beginning. I will elaborate on some of the loopholes in his arguments, and further clarify why the more fortunate people (in terms of wealth) should NOT be morally obligated to help the poor, rather they should have the choice of being courteous or kind, and they should have the freedom to spend the money they worked so hard for according to their own agenda. To start, I would like to establish that suffering and death from lack of food and other necessities is indeed a bad thing. There is no counter argumentto that statement. However, the problem lies in the second and third premises, which states that (2) if it is in our power to prevent something bad from happening, then we have a moral dutyto do it; (3) therefore, we have a moral duty to help the poor. According to Singer, the second premise is comprised of a strong and weak argument. The strong argument states that the wealthy people should help the poor people at a ... The Federal Republic of Germany, a federal parliamentary republic of sixteen states uses a mixed system. In this system, voters are given two votes. The benefit or advantage of this system is that it ensures, whatever the results of the constituency, the overall result of the election in a more or less proportionally way. For this reason this list, the list in a multimember constituency, is a compensatory one. As has been demonstrated, voters in Germany even get 2 votes, which makes this system more democratic than any other. The voters really have the feeling that their voices are important, that they can decide who they want in the government and there is no feeling of wasted voices. This piece of art is considered as a fairly radical rock hybrid concerning the final days of the life of Jesus. This was the third musical that had been written by Webber and Rice. (Ross Nightingale 2003) Today, media is surrounding us, whether it is television, films, magazines, games, radio, music, the news, and even billboards and posters, and we don t even acknowledge it, unless it hits us in the face. Along with this media, comes different audience, and different reactions. The... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Hall also suggested that the way an audience reacts, is dependant on their cultural backgrounds and how they were brought up, for example, if the mass media s intended message is fruit is great, it all depends if an individual has been brought up to dislike fruit, etc. the audience is also given more credit, and it s understood that they mat react in different ways. Reception theory is the social interaction aspect, and the Two Step Flow theory is also similar. Formulated first in the The People s Choice, the hypothesis suggests that ideas often flow from radio and print to the opinion leaders and from them to the less active sections of the population. (Lazarfield and Katz, 1970) Paul Felix Lazerfiled originally came up with this theory, and then later, Elihu Katz began working with him. The two of them looked at during the presidential elections, how the votes make up the audience s minds and wrote a book exploring the different factors of it. They speculated how the mass media connects with people, however this communication is routed through opinion leaders. These people are very media literate and they link their understanding to others. The mass media uses comedians as the opinion leaders, as they take real life news, and analyse it in a comical way, and the mass media probably entrust the comedians more, as they come across less bias and less of an agender, and the public find the news sometimes so bias, it was almost comical. Melody and rhythm are the two essential components of music that work in very different ways: melody is the essence that boosts creative thinking, while rhythm synchronizes these emotions with the vital patterns. Human beings have since long been tied to musical tempos. The rhythms in the heart beat, walking, jumping, speaking, chewing, and breathing all represent important patterns in our life. It is this particular musical rhythm that increases the level of serotonin produced in the brain, therefore enhancing critical thinking. What makes this music so valuable is the rigorous mathematical order it offers. We all know how greatly music affects our feelings and energy levels! These people helped make the civil rights movement become a reality and a success. These people risked and sometimes lost their lives in the name of freedom and equality. Martin Luther King Jr. is remembered famously for his speeches during the civil rights movement, including the famous I have a dream speech, and Letter from Birmingham Jail. Martin Luther was born January 15 1929 as Michael Luther King Jr., which was later as we all know changed to Martin. He came from a long line of pastors. From 1960 to the time he died, he was a co pastor at Ebenezer baptist church in Atlanta Georgia. He received a B. A. degree in 1948 from Morehouse College. He studied at Crozer Theological Seminary in Pennsylvania for three years. While there he was selected to be President of a predominantly white senior class and was awarded B. D. in 1951. He studied at Boston University for two years receiving his degree in 1955. In Boston he married his wife, Coretta Scott. He had two sons and two daughters. • 38. Summary Of Long Term Memory In Mrs. Dalloway Humans possess the feature of long term memory, which enables their past experiences to continuously affect their contemporary lives. Though long term memory is a significant component in the development of an individual s identity, many times this factor prevents one from discovering opportunities to modify one s present and future lives. One s long term memory can cause a person to revisit and enhance false emotions about one s past to ultimately lose sense of reality. In Mrs. Dalloway, Peter Walsh and Clarissa Dalloway reflect upon their younger selves; however, they both result in different outlets to combat these thoughts. Peter keeps a pocket knife with him in case his past with Clarissa confronts him though he chooses to see Clarissa. As Peter physically comes back into Clarissa s life, she is determined to change her feelings that her long term memory provokes in her especially concerning Peter. However, Rezia and Septimus take a different approach to dealing with their long term memories, as Rezia wants to rekindle her pre war relationship with Septimus, which is unsuccessful. Virginia Woolfuses the motifs of cutting and sewing simultaneously to illustrate that to find contentment in one s current life, one must cut off one s past to be able to progress forward into a new life. Peter plays with his pocket knife whenever he is with Clarissa to symbolize the unexplainable emotions Peter experiences with Clarissa and his desire to remove these tensions by ... • 40. Greek Society s Influence On Gender And Sexual Norms Ancient Greek society had its own ideas and values on gender and sexual norms that were reflected by the Olympian gods. These reflections often had small differences that separated the Olympian gods from humans. Other times there was little reflection between the Olympain gods and Ancient Greek society. Some of these reflections include the values of parthenoi, unmarried women; pederasty, a type of male homosexuality; and lastly moicheia, illicit sexual relationships. These reflections from Olympian gods to Greek society show how these values were important to be included in religious tales. Parthenoi were women that were of an age where they could marry but had yet to do so. Male sentiments of parthenoi ranged from the positive views that she was captivating and necessary to continue human life and succession, while on the negative she was seen as uncontrollable and wild like an animal. Men believed that women were always vulnerable to reverting back to their untamed state of nature and so needed the guidance of men and their protection. Marriage was one way of subduing women, reflected in a common term for wife, damar, meaning tamed. It is for this reason that parthenoi were considered dangerous to be left unmarried. This sentiment is reflected in the mortal parthenoi characters in mythology. Daphne is a mortal parthenos figure who rejected the social expectation of marriage and joined Artemis hunters. However, she later attracted the attention of Apollo who pursued her ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 43. John Adams And Abraham Lincoln Despite the disparity in the popularity ratings between the two presidents, John Adams and Abraham Lincoln are both indispensable figures in American history. In times of crisis, both of these men made big, consequential decisions to keep the country from falling apart. However, while Lincoln is commemorated for abolishing slavery and leading the Union in the Civil War, John Adamsis remembered for the mistakes of his presidency the Alien and Sedition Acts he issued that took away certain constitutional rights endowed to the American people. Both presidents thought they were doing what was necessary at the time to keep the United Statesfrom falling apart, but the contrasting approaches they used left opposite impressions. This can be contributed to the fact that almost all aspects of their lives, personal and professional, were opposite. So, while both presidents essentially did the same thing in saving America from falling apart, their reputations are so different now because of the way their lives and situations influenced the decisions they made. HBO s John Adams begins in 1770, as the colonies are on their way to revolting against the British Crown. The series begins with Adams life right before the revolution and follows the rest of his life for the first fifty or so years of American history. • 46. Important Parts Of A Cell Introduction The body is made up of billions and billions of cells that make up tissues that make up organs, which make up organ systems. Within those cells are organelles including but not limited to a nucleus, organelles, and cytosol. Cells are one of the most basic units of our bodies. With that being said, it is safe to say that cells are extremely important. There are many parts of a cell and many ways that a cell works. One of the most important parts of a cell is the plasma membrane. The plasma membrane is the outer surface of a cell, which is made up of things called phospholipids, which form a phospholipid bilayer. This bilayer is made up of phospholipids (75%), cholesterol (20%), and glycoproteins (5%). This bilayer is only possible due to the phospholipids being amphipathic (polar and non polar parts). Phospholipids are composed of a hydrophilic (water loving) head and 2 hydrophobic (water fearing) tails. The Plasma membrane separates the cell s internal environment from its external environment. It also plays a key role in communication among cells and between cells and their external environment, (Tortora 60). Many different proteins are located all throughout the plasma membrane. Some float around freely and others are stationary in specific locations. For example, integral proteins extend all the way through the lipid bilayer and go further into the interior of the cell. This makes them transmembrane proteins due to the fact that they go all the way ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 47. Cognitive Radio Ad Hoc Networks Game Theoretic Approach to Detect Selfish Attacker in Cognitive Radio Ad Hoc Networks Abstract In wireless communication, spectrum resources are utilized by authorities in particular fields. Most of the elements in spectrum are idle. Cognitive radio is a promising technique for allocating the idle spectrum into unlicensed users. Security shortage is a major challenging issue in cognitive radio ad hoc networks (CRAHNs) that makes performance degradation on spectrum sensing and sharing. A selfish user pre occupies the accessible bandwidth for their prospect usage and prohibits the progress secondary users whose makes the requirement for spectrum utility. Game theoretic model is proposed to detect the selfish attacker in CRAHNs. Channel state information (CSI) is considered to inform each user s channel handing information. The two strategy of Nash Equilibrium game model such as pure and mixed strategy for secondary users (SUs) and selfish secondary users (SSUs) are investigated and the selfish attacker is detected. Moreover a novel belief updating system is also proposed to the secondary users for knowing the CSI of the primary user. A simulation result shows that, game theoretic model is achieved to increase the detection rate of selfish attackers.
