A Civil Action Film Analysis
In the movie, A Civil Action , Jan Schlichtmann, a personal injury lawyer, takes on an orphan case
from Woburn, Massachusetts concerning a local tannery that had polluted the water supply in the
town. Several families (Toonneys, Auferios, Anderson, Kaynes, and Robbins) all had children who
died from leukemia. (1) The devastated parents believed their children were slowly poisoned by
drinking waterfrom the town s contaminated water supply. Schlichtmann, being a man only about
the money rather than the justice, decides to take this case because he finds reason to believe that
trichloroethylene (TCE) from Riley s Tannery, a subsidy for Beatrice Foods, and chemical
company, W.R. Grace are both very powerful and wealthy companies. Schlichtmann

Persuasive Essay About Monuments
Monuments take a lot of planning to be done. An agency or group should consider these factors
for memorializing an event or person and creating a memorial to the past. Its size, location,
materials, and what it represents in the town s history or history at all, how it makes people feel
, and is it good or bad part of our history . All those factors should be taken in perspective in the
decision. Monuments should show history of the place it was built. But Savannah is rich in
history and should be presented.... and More than 3,000 graves fill the cemetery , dated as early

What The Hell Is Water By David Foster Wallace
What the hell is water? This is Water was originally given as a speech to college students before
it was published in essay form. Essayist, David Foster Wallace, in his essay This is Water ,
addresses the importance of awareness and perceptiveness of others. He believes this and the
proper education can help you become well adjusted to the world around you. He adopts a
humorous and important tone in order to accomplish his rhetorical purpose.
Wallace establishes a humorous tone in the first section to convey his argument. There are these two
young fish swimming along, and they happen to meet an older fish swimming the other way, who
nods at them and says, Morning, boys, how s the water? And the two young fish swim on for a bit,
and then eventually one of them looks over at the other and goes, What the hell is water? (233)
This anecdote brings awareness to the fact the many people don t understand what is going on
around them and why Wallace believes it is important to be conscious of what is happening around
you. This is not a matter of virtue...and to see and interpret everything through this lens of self.
(233) Wallace states that it is hard to get into a state of awareness because humans have their hard
wired default setting . People need to get out of their own self centered habits and see things in a
different point of view. By using a humorous tone, Wallace can effectively get people on his side of
the argument.
Wallace shifts to a more realistic example

Arron Beck Cbt
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) has gained popularity in the field of mental health. Many
specialists are turning to this intense form of therapy due to its brief and is well received by
individuals. Therefore, a growing number of health care professionals are using CBT for the
effectiveness of the well designed research studies and evidence based programs.
In the early 1960 s, a psychologist of the name Arron Beck, now known as the father of cognitive
behavioral therapy. Beck formulated an approach called cognitive therapy. This approach was first
devised for treating depression. This theory is based on human behavior (Sudak, Codd, Ludgate,

Essay Comparing The Pearl And Huckleberry Finn
Once someone can be extracted out of their society and placed into a world that is new and
uncertain, the time arrives when they find out who they are going to become. For the characters,
their life began the moment that they were pushed out of their comfort zone into a world that was
fully part of the wilderness. The wilderness is the place where all the characters escape the
rigorous rules and regulations of the society in which they were created to protect. For Hester and
Pearl, the wilderness, especially the forest is the place where the truth is set free and their sin is
just a measly letter A. For Huck and Jim, the same outcome happens in the wilderness; Huck finds
out the worth of Jim. Throughout both novels, it is evident that the wilderness represents a place of
danger and unknowingness. The ones who are lucky enough to uncover this wilderness can fully
find the beauty in the area which few... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The wilderness is dangerous, but the way society is run in the civilizations is more dangerous and
potent than the unknown forest. The wilderness becomes the place where the characters in both
novels can be free from the pressure and socialization processes of society into finding who they
were made to be.
In the wilderness, Hester, Pearl, Huck, and Jim were respected and recognized as human beings
compared to being in society. Hester respected Pearl and valued her as a person unlike the
community with their views. The society saw Pearl as an elf child who was not fit to live under
Hester s rule anymore and was dirtied with her mother s sin. Hawthorne illustrates, Without
question, she is equally in the dark as to her soul, its present depravity, and future destiny! Me
thinks, gentlemen, we need inquire no further (Hawthorne 77). To the community, she was a
product of sin and didn t rate high in the Puritan society. She was disregarded and forced to live

Essay about Variations in Animation in Different Cultures
Animation in different cultures
Animation has a variety of differences between Japanese culture and the culture of the United
States. While animation is usually made for the sole purpose of entertainment for children in the
United States, Japanese animation, also known as anime as it is referred to both in Japan and in
the West, is a form of media that is enjoyed by people of all ages. Unlike the Teenage Mutant Ninja
Turtles and SpongeBob Square pants, both very popular American animations shows in their times,
anime focuses more on drama and other non childlike qualities. The differing cultures of the United
States and Japan can be considered the main factor to the huge differences in their own respected
animation styles.

films from foreign nations reached Japanese theatres, mostly coming from the United States.
With the rapid spread of television in the 1960 s, Japanese animators found a new way to sell their
products. One of the first Japanese anime to see great success was Tetsuwan Atom also known as
Astro Boy, seeing success in western countries such as the United States and Europe. Another
popular series from this time period was Tetsujin 28 go or Gigantor. Unlike the cartoons being
shown in the United States at this time period, such as Spiderman, The Flintstones, and The
Jetsons, Astro Boy and Gigantor focused on bigger, more mature issues. Cartoons in the United
States aimed more at entertaining children with superheros thwarting criminals, and both
prehistoric and futuristic comedy. These types of cartoons were never meant for anything other
than entertainment with a small side of morality lessons put in for good measure. While
entertaining, very rarely did the cartoons that were from the United States create critical thinking or
questions about morality amongst their young viewers.
In comparison, Astro Boy, while similar to

Mcbride Ritz Carlton Washington Dc
The Ritz Carlton Hotel Company
On October 11, 2000 The Ritz Carlton was on the eve of opening Washington DC s first luxury
hotel in 10 years. The 300 room hotel was part of a $225 million complex owned by Millennium
Partners. This would be the first hotel opened of a six hotel deal between Millennium Partners and
The Ritz Carlton. Millennium Partners owned the properties and The Ritz Carlton was hired to
operate the hotels. After only seven days of training the 400 person staff would open the doors the
next morning.

As a result The Ritz Carlton has one of the highest rates of employee retention in the industry,
with only an average 20% turnover rate. Their philosophy is that people deserve the right to
work for a purpose. This purpose keeps the employees engaged in their work and makes
achieving success a priority. Employee satisfaction is a priority and focus which improves
employee morale (a happy employee is a productive employee). According to the service profit
chain relationship, satisfied employees lead to employee loyalty which eventually leads to loyal
customers and profitability.
Both customers are better served by retaining the current training process. It keeps costs low,
employee morale high, and has a proven track record of success for the employee, customer, and
hotel. The Seven Day Countdown should not be considered as a lone entity when evaluating the
readiness and effectiveness of the hotel staff. This is just part of an overall strategy that includes

a service industry leader and innovator. This was accomplished by having a standardized and

Metonymy Metaphors
In the world of advertising, metaphor is known for its role when it comes to impress the public
for selling one s product. But what the public don t often realize is another device hidden in the
ads in one s daily paper: Metonymy. Metaphor is a literary device when one is trying to relate a
subject to an irrelevant object; for example, a poker face . When a person is described as a poker
face, it means that his/her face is unemotional, like a person who s in a middle of a poker game.
Metonymy, on the other hand, does not directly describe the subject from another object. When one
s using metonymy, people tend to recognize another meaning or concept of this word, such as the
term 911 , which was the date September 11th, 2001 when the World... Show more content on

Created by George Lucas, the film Star Wars premiered in 1977 and has become one of the most

as the evil dark lord of the Empire as he was associated with the dark side in the public views.
However, in this WWF ad here, instead of standing in the base with his Stromtroopers
menacingly, the viewers see their dark lord standing in the mellow, surrounded by a crowd of
animals, depicting a rather humorous scene. The large caption on the ad says, For once, the dark
side saves the planet (2009). Another caption of the ad was Earth Hour. Switch off the lights. Turn
on the planet on March 27, from 20H30 to 21H30 (2009). The metonymy here was associating the
dark side with earth hour. In Star Wars, Darth Vader destroys the planet with his power of the dark
side , but here, he uses his same power to reduce energy, thus protecting the environment and saving
earth. In this ad, Darth Vader is telling the viewers to join the dark side like him by turning off
lights. To the viewers, it seems interesting that the infamous antagonist turns good, and to the fans,

How could societies from hundreds of years ago influence both the past and the present? When
historians and archaeologists look back on the thriving communities of the Maya, Aztecs, and Inca

first accomplishment that they achieved was creating accurate calendars by studying stars and

Stress In College Students
Stress is a part of everyone s life. A certain amount of stress is to be expected in daily life, but too
much stress may be harmful. The stages towards adulthood have been characterized with many
transitions and challenges. For some young women and men, a challenge that poses a possible
stressor is attending college, which has been linked to increased stress for emerging adults. It is
argued that emerging adults entrance into higher education includes both opportunities and risks. It
is argued that emerging adults entrance into higher education includes both opportunities and risks.
The topic of stress effects on the brainseems the most interesting to me because of how much
stress a college student, as well as others, can endure. Stress affects a person both mentally and
physically. Your mind perceives a situation and decides whether that situation is a threat. If it
seems threatening, it becomes a stressor. According to the National Institute of Mental Health,
stress is simply defined as the brain s response to any demand and can take a variety of different
forms. Although the concept of stress is individualized, stress plays a role in everyday life and
can stem from mental, emotional, and physical activity. In an article written by Grant S. Shields
and George M. Slavich (2017), the history of stress and its methods and mechanisms of research

The Top Ten Most Twitter
Journalists can see which topics the audience is interested by looking at this information and
continue to report on these hot topics.
The top ten most followed twitter users are not media organizations or corporations, but individuals.
Researchers and Cornell and Yahoo analyzed how information spreads from media to the masses.
They found that a new class of semi public individuals consisting of authors, bloggers, journalists,
and subject matter experts have become part of an important niche on twitter. Opinion leaders are
more exposed to the media than their followers and are part of the intermediate layer. Around half
of the information originating from the media passes to the masses indirectly through the opinion
leaders (Wu, Mason, Hofman, Watts, 2011). Automated journalismis an important way technology
will change reporting. Algorithms have been able to automatically produce news from structured
data. Currently, algorithms can generate news for earthquake alerts, company earnings reports, and
crime reporting. The Los Angeles Times used an algorithm to provide comprehensive coverage of
homicides and not just focus on sensational cases. Another Los Angeles Time project, Mapping
L.A., uses algorithms to automate news generation regarding crimes and generates warnings when
crime reports surpass a predefined threshold. If the number of crimes reported that week is
significantly higher than the weekly average, the system will trigger a crime alert for that
neighborhood.

Allison s Character In The Unspoken
Allison was the protagonist in the book The Unspoken, she was a very bold, interesting character
but there was something about her that was different...she woke up from nightmares almost every
morning. Most of the dreams were labored and apprehensive and mostly directed at one person but,
sometimes there were multiple people or a different person every time.
Most of Allison s dreams were about her sister, Melanie (the reason for these dreams occurring
wasn t really mentioned). For instance, in the book it stated, she saw a picture of her sister
lying in bed black blood covering her throat like a scarf (Fahy 9) after doc Hillerman, Allisons
doctor, entered her residence. This daydream was one of the first that we see in the book The

Bj Carter and Chris Carter are siblings and business partners. They have to decide to run their

problem being, their car has failed 7 times out of 24 this season and if it fails in this race, not only

Another problem not addressed is what the temperature at the trace will be at race time because it
will likely be warmer than the 40 degrees it is at 8:23. In my opinion, the second issue of the
newly designed turbo system is likely at fault for the gasket problems. If other racing teams are not
using these new turbo systems and also not having gasket problems, it seems likely this could be
causing too much pressure on the gaskets, causing the failures. If that is the case, they would
have to make the decision to race based on the chance of failure to be 29%. In order for this
problem to be fixed, research would have to be done to find out how they could rebuild the turbo
so that it would not break the gaskets or rebuilding the gaskets so they can with stand the extra
stress from the turbo. This brings about the main constraint in this case, time. Even if they had
better gaskets, they do not have time to replace them in one hour.
Action Plan
In this case, they do not have any alternatives when it comes to making fixes to the car s engine.
Meaning the only alternatives they have are with their sponsors. They have several options as the
race approaches.
Option 1
They could forfeit the race and cut their losses and look long term to how to fix the problem. The

Scenario Two involves investigating the risk and benefits of the pertussis immunization. Farah, a
mother of her 2 week old son Rami, decided she needs to know more about the risk of the
immunization before she makes her final decision and immunize her son. The question that was
given was: In infants, how does being immunized against pertussis, compared with not being
immunized, effect morbidity and mortality? A search process was documented in this essay to
show how research can be performed in order to answer this particular scenario and question.
Key words PICO structure
The key words chosen were infants , immunization and pertussis. They were located by looking at
the question and what was being asked. Choosing key words allows quality research to be done
and evidence to be found in order to answer the PICO question. The PICO structure and question
guide was also used. This structure is a good strategy to break down the question, find the key
words and main topics to be focused on researched. It s important to understand that the PICO

Summary Of The Nightmare By Henry Fuseli
The painting, The Nightmare , was composed in 1781 by Henry Fuseli. Henry was an artist of
the Romantic era when he created his most famous piece of artwork, The Nightmare , which is
known well for his take on Incubus. The Enlightenment period in which this painting was born
in, was a time where new ideas were starting to be discovered. The demon in The Nightmare ,
Incubus, is associated with Medieval mythology and symbolizes a demon rapist. The painter,
Henry Fuseli is able to achieve the horrific view of the artwork and tell a story by focusing on the
positions and mood of the setting and making sure each aspect of the art complements and bounces
off of other figures.

Henry paints the woman in white due to her being the main focus of the artwork. In addition, white
is a color of purity and innocence which is portrayed in the painting. The woman appears to be the
victim and Incubus, who is brown, looks guilty and seems to be the cause of her death or the
terrible nightmare. Incubus is brown, interferes with the purity of the female, and symbolizes earth
and warmth which contradicts with his character. Henry might have decided to paint Incubus
brown on account of him wanting to include warmth into the art piece. The black horse s head,
which is seen emerging out of the cranberry red curtains, depicts death giving the lady a visit and
possibly accompanying Incubus. The black horse has white eyes which makes him look ghostly. In
addition to the horse s head creeping out of the curtains, the cranberry curtains and blanket in the
painting allows it to have a dramatic effect. The color cranberry red usually symbolizes the hue of
blood, which is used to add more depth to the painting.
As stated in the previous paragraph, Henry includes strong colors that give the painting an overall
dramatic effect. The artist mainly focuses on using dark colors which creates a murky horrific
mood. The colors within the artwork bounce off of each other but somehow guide the viewers to
follow the figures in a counterclockwise path. These details contribute to the painting s overall
appearance and they make the viewers glimpse at it longer than other art

company for over one hundred years. My mission for writing this essay, is to give the reader some
more insight on what they may of not know about this nation wide store. I also want to provide the
reader with confidence to rely on Walgreensas their number one trusted pharmacy and drugstore.
The idea of Walgreens started off in the early 1900 s in a small town called Dixon, Illinois.
Charles R. Walgreen started working at a drug store, due to an accident that happened at a shoe
making company, ending his athletic career. He realized after working in this small town he
needed to go somewhere bigger to pursue his dreams of becoming a pharmacist. He chose to go to
Chicago to open up his first store on the south side of the city. By 1910, ... Show more content on

Evolution Of Horse Evolution Essay
Evolution is the change of species over many generation. This topic allows people to learn where
other animals come from. One animal that I am interested in is a horse because I show horses, and
have a passion for them. In this paper I will present researched information about the evolution of
the horse. The horse, a mammal of the family Equidae(extant horses, donkeys, and zebras). It
came around 50 million years ago, transforming to a small dog sized. After a period of time it
changed into regular horse size. The horse belongs to Perissodactyla (odd toed.)They are all
members who share hooved feet with an odd number of toes, also their upper lips and similar tooth
structure. Horses have a common ancestry with rhinoceroses. Modern horses are... Show more

zebras. These fossils are found on every continent except Australia and Antarctica. The pictures on
the right show the Equus and Orohippus. Those are just a few examples of horse evolution, now i m
going to tell you about it s inherited structures and some other body structures. First i m going to
tell you about what you need to know about its inheritance. Horse breeds change and can develop
differently over time. Horse breeders found that characteristics and traits can be passed on from
parents and their offspring. Horse breeders selected those who had desirable characteristics and
traits to breed each other. Horses within a breed can be closely related to each other, or interbred,
which can have positive and negative affect. Most horse breeds are established by few horses.

Comparing Ramayana And The Epic Of Gilgamesh
Ramayana and The Epic of Gilgamesh The different cultures of Indian and European, can be similar
in literature. In Valmiki s Ramayana , that was written in 550 B.C.E. and The Epic of Gilgamesh ,
that was written in 2100 B.C.E., have similar plots. The epics written in different times, and places
shows that they are connected. In the stories, both the protagonists have God like traits. They both
have to go on quests to find their destiny. They battle creatures that threatens what they love.
Ramayanaand The Epic of Gilgamesh, have very similar plots, that disrepute Thomas Macaulay

Argumentative Essay On Dante s Inferno
Gary Jewell
Argumentative Essay on Dante s Inferno Dante s Inferno is an epic poem that is clearly
centered on his hate for Pope Boniface VIII. Dante s circles of hell described so vividly in his
poem are the result of Dante s angst toward Boniface as he was once on top of the world until
Boniface exiled him only because of his political opinions. Although, he does not clearly name
Boniface in the epic he makes sure to include him in five obscure allusions. The first instance
alludes to the incumbent pope before Boniface, Pope Celestine V, as the one who made the great
refusal in the circle of neutrals; as he allowed Boniface to plant seeds of doubt in the months
before he suddenly and unexpectedly resigned, leaving Boniface the Pope. The second allusion
would place Boniface perfectly in the eighth circle, sixth pouch as the fraudulent sinner he was to
prey on Celestine with his utter gift of fraudulent gab to gain a political position of power. The
third, fourth, and fifth instances all point to his questionable practice of selling indulgences or
absolution. So, therefore, just because he cannot directly mention Boniface in his epic due to him
still being alive during the time of his writing, he still manages to make it a point to let him know
there is a place for him in Hell. American Educator Susan Blow studied Dante s Inferno with great
respect to the implements of ethics and theology. In the following excerpt, she discusses the
Inferno from an ethical and theological point of view, explaining that divine retribution implies
man s fundamental ethical responsibility, and that Hell is the Creator s final tribute of respect to
the being he made in his own image (Blow, para 1). Blow clearly understood Dante s views and
states, His poem is not individual but universal; he utters not his own thought, but the unformulated
creed of Christendom. Nay, he reaches beyond Christianity and speaks to the universal conscience
of humanity that inward witness which is always calling upon man to rejoice in his freedom and
tremble before the responsibility bound up with it (Blow, para 2). Scholar Thomas Peterson looks a
little further into Dante s Inferno and why it is that of a parody in some instances.

Speech Pathology Personal Statement
The speech pathology program at Texas State University is attractive to me because it is very
science based. I have heard great accolades from alumni that they received an all encompassing
education with great opportunities in research and clinical practice. I am looking for a program
that allows me to place an emphasis on what specialty of speech pathology I am interested in as
well as covering all aspects of the profession. Texas State s program interests me because of the
variety of services that the clinic offers as well as the large span of research among the different
professors. I would love to be involved in adult and child therapy relating to dysphagia
management, and neurological disorders. I am excited to see that Texas State s Speech Language
and Hearing Clinic offers therapy to adults and children with neurological disorders resulting from
cerebrovascular accidents, traumatic brain injury, multiple sclerosis among others. I want to get

My Reflection For My Contributions In Math And Education
Contributions For this class, how I plan on contributing is by engaging into discussions a
hundred percent with good textbook citations to support my idea or thoughts. I will ask my
questions on the Q A discussion board if there are questions I have so if there are others
wondering. My goals for this class is that after I will be able to engage my children more into math
and science and have more activities to get them excited. Also to get the children more involved
with the activity, asking questions to getting them more engaging and yearning for more activities
around that subject. My expectations for myself is to receive the grade of an A, to study hard and
lastly to improve myself to help the children improve themselves.

Examples Of Gender Equality In The Franklin s Tale
Chaucer, in The Franklin s Tale , takes Boccaccio s older Italian tale Filocolo and changes three
distinct characteristics that transforms the tale into a more modern approach when dealing with
courtly love. Chaucer takes the traditional concepts of gender equality, social class, and infidelity
and changes them slightly in order to convey how lust can affect one s need for dominance, and
make an individual participate in abnormal behavior, such as uncontrollable lust, guilt, and pride.
The concept of gender equality is discussed frequently throughout The Franklin s Tale . Chaucer
takes Boccaccio s original pattern of having two knights fight over one lower class woman and
scrambles it by having a lowly squire chase after a higher class maiden who is already married to
an absent husband. This change helps to increase the intensity of the tale by having the women in
the traditional place of dominance over the men. Another mention of gender equality is within the
relationship of Dorigen, the maiden, and Arveragus, the knight, who originally agree on a
marriage where they are both equals, however, when Arveragus gets the chance he chooses to go
away to fight in a war and... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Chaucer adds this part to The Franklin s Tale in order to highlight the impracticalities a woman
faces in that time period, which come in the form of death if a woman were to seek satisfaction
for her own wants. The topic of infidelity is also added to show the woman s perspective and
guilt when partaking in a game of courtly love. Chaucer includes this passage on affairs in order to
show the consequences for a woman if she were to chase dominance in her own life. The traditional
pattern is, therefore, transformed to convey that guilt is a consequence for a woman who

The Importance Of The Chinese Garden Architecture
In the early 1636, the place where the Chinese kings live, the construction of the Chinese garden
architecture first started, when the Chinese emperor chose a city as the earth and the use of
financial resources in his hands. The King s builder s team started building the Yu palace garden
building, which has a beautiful grand mansion that provides the emperor with a place to live in.
The Yu Garden is primarily located in the Yellow River basin in South China
, in the Beijing area.
This is the product of China s two thousand years of the feudal dynasty regularly change; and the
development of China has stopped developing for millennia. As a consequence, the government at
that time stopped communicating with other countries. For a significant number of years, China

My Childhood Journey

The Theory Of The Political Economy
The theory of the political economy in the context on media studies, is that behind every media
product, has a commercial and economic imperative and as such, has particular impacts on the
media content that would not exist if such imperatives ceased to exist. It is these impacts that both
limit media products, and allow media products of a particular nature exist. A political economic
approach in the production of media is in contrary to the nature of media itself; accuracy, integrity
and authenticity are lost in favor to economic power.
A capitalist society is one that exists within an exploitative framework. Our society exists and
functions due to labor being exploited by those in a lower social class with the intention of
economic profit for those who exploit others. (Marx and Moore, 2001) Ignoring the morality of
this ideology, it enables a functioning society to a particular degree. When this theory is applied
within the context of a political economy of media production, we can begin to understand its value.
The nature of a capitalist society means that human labor worth a monetary value and that is
exchanged between the exploiter and the exploited. As such, without a political economic influence,
media products would cease to exist. Funding facilitates the production of media labor is required
to create, produce, distribute and consume media.
All media is influenced by the political economic circumstances, however, the extent in which this
model impacts the

Analysis Of The Book Why America Slept By Gerald Posner
Daniela Reynoso October 17, 2014 Capron Online CRJ 115 05In the book, Why America Slept:
The Failure to Prevent 9/11, by Gerald Posner he argues that the act of terrorism that occurred on
September 11, 2001 could have and should have been prevented. He presented a powerful case
of how stupidity and misdirected priorities made America an easy aim for terrorists. Gerald
Posner, the author of the book was a former Wall Street Lawyer, award winning investigative
journalist and bestselling author. Posner purposefully wrote this book to demonstrate all the
clues that were given out prior to the attack and inform us on previously undisclosed information
after a thorough 18 month investigation. Posner s goal was to discover what the CIA, FBI, and
others in the Government were doing behind the scenes for at least a decade leading up to 9/11.
The intended audience for this book is anyone who is willing to open their eyes on the true
occurrences that happened on 9/11. The title of the piece is related directly to the book and the
subject matter of it. America slept on all the clues that they received that there would be a terrorist
attack and the book demonstrated how exactly they failed to prevent the acts that occurred on 9

audience how 9/11 could have been prevented through his use of examples and facts. In this

The Pros And Cons Of Smoking In Public Places
Smoking Should Be Banned In Public Places
Most of the time non smokers happen to be at places where people are allowed to smoke publicly,
one will agree that the habit is irritating. Many different states in the United States and the world as
a whole have drafted laws to control the habit of public smoking (Dugan, 2013). Some countries or
states have gone ahead to ban smoking in public entirely. The move to ban smoking in public is a
prudent one, because it will help save countless lives. The reasons behind the prohibition on
smoking in public are that the habit affects non smokers as well as put their lives in danger and
this is equal to effects that smoking has on the active smoker.
Smoking in public puts the lives of non smokers at risk. In simple terms, the second hand smoke
that the active smoker exhales can cause health side effects to the non smoker. Research has shown
that the second hand smoke contains more than seven thousand different chemicals that are toxic
and among these chemicals, seventy are cancer causing chemicals (U.S. Department of Health
Human Services n.p.). This means that being exposed to this smoke is not safe at all as you inhale
the toxic chemicals. These toxic chemicals are present even when one inhales a little passed ... Show

What should be done is that the government needs to come up with smoking zones so that people
who want to smoke can do it at these places. The banning of public smoking can impact negatively
on businesses such as bars and restaurant that permit people to smoke (Sullum, 1998). The banning
of smoking would also keep away people from visiting the places leading them to carry their
smoking habits home and this equally has bad effects on the family members. Similarly, based on
the fact that smoking tobacco is legal, the government needs not to control its consumption by
restricting smokers. Smokers are all adults, and it is their choice to

Global Trade In Textile Mill
So you re a cotton farmer what s most important to you? Sure, you want to make money and, sure,
you want to provide for your family you understand that. But what are you doing to understand
your customers? You may say it doesn t matter, I can always ship into the loan, my coop will
handle it, my local pool worries about customers.
Do you care about the market? What makes up your market? Your merchant or coop help to make
up your market, certainly. But what about their customers, the textile mills? What affects their
market and how does that market matter to you? You may say, I m a farmer, not a textile mill.
But a textile mill will say, he is your customer: You will pay attention or he ll buy from someone
else. There s a lot of cotton ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They either go down market and try to survive at the bottom of the supply chain or they move up
market stressing quality and value. Increasingly mills are opting for the latter option by focusing on
a wider variety of products, improving quality and providing better value.
Yet these changes are not without problems. Despite all the progress the cotton industry has made
in marketing its products, the industry still has to compete with the synthetic fiber companies
which are terrific marketers as well. However, fiber companies are not limited by an industry wide
approach to selling its products. Virtually all fiber companies stress sales of branded products. This
is an advantage as they can focus on attributes of their products to stand out from the competition.
It s harder with cotton. Other than some sustainable production initiatives, the cotton industry has
chosen to market its products in a broad sense, but by doing so, this has only reinforced cotton s
image as a commodity product. Cotton is just cotton a sentiment heard up and down the entire
textile supply chain. What distinguishes cotton from synthetics? Devising an answer to that
question remains the challenge for

Biochemical Tests On The Gram Negative And Gram Positive...
Microorganisms have the ability to live everywhere and can survive when put together with another
not of its kind. Expectations for this experiment would to successfully obtain credible information
behind the mixed unknown and be able to isolate both the gram negative and gram positive
bacterium. In order to obtain the correct test results and to ensure the right gram mixed unknown is
identified there had to be a series of eight biochemical tests performed on the gram negative
bacterium and five biochemical tests performed on the gram positive bacterium.
Introduction
The sole purpose behind this conduction was having the ability to understand just how the gram
negative and gram positive bacteria can be distinguished and identified when mixed together into
one broth. Understanding the basic characteristics as to why each bacterium has the ability to dye
certain colors and retain those colors. The gram positive bacteria has the ability to retain the crystal
violet color and remain purple as for gram negative bacteria, they cannot hold the purple color and
decolorizes when the ethanol hit its. The gram negative bacterium does have the ability to retain
the counterstain, which is a pink to red color. This happens because of the thickness of the
peptidoglycan layer, in the gram positive the layer is 20 80 nm thick and have a multiply amount
of layers but for the gram negative they only have a thin 1 3 nm thick one layered layer (Badon,
2014).

Community, Identity, And Stability
Community, Identity, and Stability is a large element of a functional society. The choice between
feelings and emotional attachments both have pros and cons, both work but may have backfires
as well. Sacrificing emotional attachments will not be a beneficial sacrifice because everybody
would be limited and restricted power, and nobody will be able to think for themselves or have any
likes or dislikes. If they would sacrifice emotionnobody would be able to advance in the society,
where normally oneВґs interest bring more knowledge to share to others. When all sense of
feelings are taken away it will be easy for one person to take advantage of others if given the
opportunity. These points make a strong edge with evidence to make a perfect argument.

Bioregionalism gives the large scale geographical boundaries to determine an area, such as the
peaks of a mountain. Bioregionalism is, the idea that societies should be organized on the basis
of local communities, which attempt to provide for their basic needs on the basis of resources
available at the local level (Evanoff, R., O Neil, E.). Evanoff and O Neil prove societies strive
more when they are divided by their natural barriers. Determining the bioregion of an area allows
us to know our watersheds, soil type(s), and mountain ranges. Bioregions are important because it
allows us to know the features of our area. Knowing our soil type allows farmers to know where
their crops will strive or not. Knowing the watersheds allows us to learn how to preserve our water
resource and know where it s coming from. The history of the area, or native culture helps us see
how the region has evolved throughout other human cultures in the

Significance Of The Teutonic Knights
Teutonic Knights:
The Significance of the Battle of Tannenberg/Grunwald 1410
The history of the Teutonic Knights is well known throughout history as a military and religious
order that flew a white cross flag. According to Taylor, the flag that represented the Order was
from the Knights of Saint John, depicting a white cross with a black background (p. 340). The
Order began their legacy approximately in 1190 during the 3rd Crusade where their mission was to
safeguard the Hospital of St. Mary of the Teutons in the Holy Land. The reasons for the creation of
the Teutonic Knightswas due to soldiers that were fighting battles were stricken with disease and
sickness; diminishing their numbers. Without having proper hospitals in foreign lands, it was

Hofbauer tells a story of the Order marching all night to surprise the flanking Lithuania Polish army
where they finally met up in the area of Tannenberg/Grunwald. Hofbauer further stated the Order
was exhausted from marching all night and were standing in the sun for hours the following day
with full battle gear; however, the opposing forces was standing in the cool forest waiting for the
battle to start (p. 35 37). Hofbauer additional relates that on the right flank of the battlefield, the
Lithuanians positioned themselves for a tactic that may have been the deciding factor in this battle.
Once the Order made contact, the Lithuanians broke formation and performed a planned retreat.
This maneuver suggested the Order was winning and they gave chase to the fleeing enemy. During
the chase, the Orders formation became week, sporadic, and unorganized allowing the Polish
soldiers to fill the gaps and destroy the Order (p. 36 37). The map of the Tannenberg/Grunwald
battle depicts the battle formations of the Teutonic Order and the Polish Lithuanian armies (see Fig.

Ford Vs Wainwright Case Analysis
Analyzing the case in detail would reveal that there were strong extenuating circumstances in the
ruling. The evidence of guilt in the case was overwhelming. There were eye witnesses to the crime
along with the fact that the victim knew the defendant and lived long enough to identify him as the
perpetrator. The state argued that the murder victim s statements relating to the defendant s cutting
her throat while dying fell under the excited utterance exception rule against hearsay since they
were made under the stress of the event. But with the testimonyof the eyewitnesses the case was
basically easy to prosecute. During the trialthere was no mention of Singleton being mentally ill. He

In the eyes of medical personnel it is an assumption that antipsychotic drugs could compensate
for mental illness, which typically takes long periods of time to thoroughly diagnose, and thus
there is no incentive to attempt to correct for the mental illness since there is no guarantee of
recovery. The attempt to medicate the offender in order to terminate his life is basically a waste
of the tax payer s money. The decision should be made to either label him as mentally ill,
medicate him in order to make him better so that he might live a sane life or to terminate his life
due to the extremities of his crime. The main goal of capital punishment is the forfeiture of the
offenders participation in society by means of termination of life and that terminating a life does
not require any special condition to undergo there is no conclusive need to ensure the healthy
condition of an offender who is subject to termination of life. If the health of the offender is
irrelevant then it can also be stated that the current state of mental illness has no bearing on the
proceedings and there is no need to correct this situation prior to execution with a medication.

1 August 2013
I wish... Looking back on my childhood and at all of the dreams I had, I have to realize that my
life today is far from what I had dreamed of. Growing up without a mother and raised by an
absentee father, I had to learn at an early age to take care of myself and to depend on myself for
my basic needs. I spent most of my days daydreaming about the mother I did not have. In my
dream world, she was well and alive: a beautiful, loving and caring woman who loved me
unconditionally. I grew up, graduated from college, married a man with three children of his
own, and realized that I still, more than ever, live in a dream world where my mother is well and
alive. In my forties, I am a grown ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Although my married and family life is more than I could have asked for, my life is still missing
something, and it is a big piece. I have three step children, and they are very good children. I
would do anything for them, and I do everything for them. They are always on my mind. Did they
eat? Are they safe at school? Do we have enough money for their college funds? I am always
planning for their future. Sometimes I drive my husband crazy always talking about the children
and their future. Reading these lines, one might think my life is full and complete, but it is not; I
miss having my own child. I wish I had a child of my own. To feel a living thing growing inside of
me, to have him or her born of me, to see that baby growing up, to recognize some of my
physical, emotional traits and characteristics in this child; oh, my God, I only wish I had that
wonderful experience! I love my step children and I think that they like and tolerate me, but the
fact is that I am not their mother, and they do remind me of it almost every day. To be loved
unconditionally by our child: to be everything for him or her, to know that no matter what
happens, he or she would always run back to us, is ... I just cannot find words to explain it. I
know it must be wonderful and miraculous. That mother and child bond is divine, and I only wish
that I could have experienced and lived it for myself. Every day I wake up longing to

What Is The Reconstruction Dbq
The Reconstruction Grace Barar January 14, 2016 Although the reconstruction did unify the United
States and passed the 14th and 15th amendments, reconstruction failed on many other vital issues.
The radical republican legislation that promised freedom and equality for all was far from a reality
for black Americans. Legislation failed to protect former slaves from white supremacy, and
persecution. The entire social and cultural backbone of the south needed reform in order for African
Americans to enjoy the freedom and equality that this nation promised, unfortunately this change
did not come during the reconstruction. In 1877 president Hayes removed federal troops from the
south, almost immediately former confederates and slave owners returned

Why Should Smoking Be Banned In Public Essay
The numbers of people who smoke have increase over the years. Although they are equipped with
the knowledge of how unhealthy smoking can be, people still choose to smoke. It is a personal
choice and a highly addictive habit. Smokers choose to subject themselves to the health risks of
smoking. It is not for the government or any third party to dictate whether or not a person should
be allowed to smoke. However, smokingdoes not only affect the smoker negatively. It also affects
all the people around those who smoke because when people smoke in pubic the smoke travels
everywhere through the air, and the negative effects of this smoke affects all living, breathing
creatures. Therefore smoking should be banned in all public places.
People who smoke in public portray a bad example. Children are easily influenced in their growing
stages. They imitate the people around them because they cannot differentiate between right and
wrong. Therefore they perceive the actions they see around them as the way things should be.
Besides that, teenagers who see people smoke in public take it as precedent to start smoking as
well. There is a saying that goes monkey see monkey do, which tells us that people imitate the
actions of others as they see it in their daily lives. Teenagers happen to think that smoking makes a
person cool. When they see adults doing it on the streets it strengthens their belief in the coolness of
smoking. Some teenagers think that smoking marks their transition into

A Civil Action Film Analysis In the movie, A Civil Action , Jan Schlichtmann, a personal injury lawyer, takes on an orphan case from Woburn, Massachusetts concerning a local tannery that had polluted the water supply in the town. Several families (Toonneys, Auferios, Anderson, Kaynes, and Robbins) all had children who died from leukemia. (1) The devastated parents believed their children were slowly poisoned by drinking waterfrom the town s contaminated water supply. Schlichtmann, being a man only about the money rather than the justice, decides to take this case because he finds reason to believe that trichloroethylene (TCE) from Riley s Tannery, a subsidy for Beatrice Foods, and chemical company, W.R. • 4. What The Hell Is Water By David Foster Wallace What the hell is water? This is Water was originally given as a speech to college students before it was published in essay form. Essayist, David Foster Wallace, in his essay This is Water , addresses the importance of awareness and perceptiveness of others. He believes this and the proper education can help you become well adjusted to the world around you. He adopts a humorous and important tone in order to accomplish his rhetorical purpose. Wallace establishes a humorous tone in the first section to convey his argument. There are these two young fish swimming along, and they happen to meet an older fish swimming the other way, who nods at them and says, Morning, boys, how s the water? And the two young fish swim on for a bit, and then eventually one of them looks over at the other and goes, What the hell is water? (233) This anecdote brings awareness to the fact the many people don t understand what is going on around them and why Wallace believes it is important to be conscious of what is happening around you. This is not a matter of virtue...and to see and interpret everything through this lens of self. (233) Wallace states that it is hard to get into a state of awareness because humans have their hard wired default setting . People need to get out of their own self centered habits and see things in a different point of view. By using a humorous tone, Wallace can effectively get people on his side of the argument. Wallace shifts to a more realistic example ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Essay Comparing The Pearl And Huckleberry Finn Once someone can be extracted out of their society and placed into a world that is new and uncertain, the time arrives when they find out who they are going to become. For the characters, their life began the moment that they were pushed out of their comfort zone into a world that was fully part of the wilderness. The wilderness is the place where all the characters escape the rigorous rules and regulations of the society in which they were created to protect. For Hester and Pearl, the wilderness, especially the forest is the place where the truth is set free and their sin is just a measly letter A. For Huck and Jim, the same outcome happens in the wilderness; Huck finds out the worth of Jim. Throughout both novels, it is evident that the wilderness represents a place of danger and unknowingness. Hester respected Pearl and valued her as a person unlike the community with their views. The society saw Pearl as an elf child who was not fit to live under Hester s rule anymore and was dirtied with her mother s sin. With the rapid spread of television in the 1960 s, Japanese animators found a new way to sell their products. One of the first Japanese anime to see great success was Tetsuwan Atom also known as Astro Boy, seeing success in western countries such as the United States and Europe. But what the public don t often realize is another device hidden in the ads in one s daily paper: Metonymy. Metaphor is a literary device when one is trying to relate a subject to an irrelevant object; for example, a poker face . If that is the case, they would have to make the decision to race based on the chance of failure to be 29%. Choosing key words allows quality research to be done and evidence to be found in order to answer the PICO question. The PICO structure and question guide was also used. This structure is a good strategy to break down the question, find the key words and main topics to be focused on researched. It s important to understand that the PICO system is a quantitative numerical system therefore it answers questions like how much, how many and how often, and measures values and counts (Liamputtong, 2016). Henry was an artist of the Romantic era when he created his most famous piece of artwork, The Nightmare , which is known well for his take on Incubus. The Enlightenment period in which this painting was born in, was a time where new ideas were starting to be discovered. The demon in The Nightmare , Incubus, is associated with Medieval mythology and symbolizes a demon rapist. The painter, Henry Fuseli is able to achieve the horrific view of the artwork and tell a story by focusing on the positions and mood of the setting and making sure each aspect of the art complements and bounces off of other figures. In addition, white is a color of purity and innocence which is portrayed in the painting. The woman appears to be the victim and Incubus, who is brown, looks guilty and seems to be the cause of her death or the terrible nightmare. Incubus is brown, interferes with the purity of the female, and symbolizes earth and warmth which contradicts with his character. Henry might have decided to paint Incubus brown on account of him wanting to include warmth into the art piece. The black horse s head, which is seen emerging out of the cranberry red curtains, depicts death giving the lady a visit and possibly accompanying Incubus. The black horse has white eyes which makes him look ghostly. In addition to the horse s head creeping out of the curtains, the cranberry curtains and blanket in the painting allows it to have a dramatic effect. The color cranberry red usually symbolizes the hue of blood, which is used to add more depth to the painting. As stated in the previous paragraph, Henry includes strong colors that give the painting an overall dramatic effect. The artist mainly focuses on using dark colors which creates a murky horrific mood. The colors within the artwork bounce off of each other but somehow guide the viewers to follow the figures in a counterclockwise path. These details contribute to the painting s overall appearance and they make the viewers glimpse at it longer than other art ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 27. Argumentative Essay On Dante s Inferno Gary Jewell Argumentative Essay on Dante s Inferno Dante s Inferno is an epic poem that is clearly centered on his hate for Pope Boniface VIII. Dante s circles of hell described so vividly in his poem are the result of Dante s angst toward Boniface as he was once on top of the world until Boniface exiled him only because of his political opinions. Although, he does not clearly name Boniface in the epic he makes sure to include him in five obscure allusions. The first instance alludes to the incumbent pope before Boniface, Pope Celestine V, as the one who made the great refusal in the circle of neutrals; as he allowed Boniface to plant seeds of doubt in the months before he suddenly and unexpectedly resigned, leaving Boniface the Pope. The second allusion would place Boniface perfectly in the eighth circle, sixth pouch as the fraudulent sinner he was to prey on Celestine with his utter gift of fraudulent gab to gain a political position of power. The third, fourth, and fifth instances all point to his questionable practice of selling indulgences or absolution. So, therefore, just because he cannot directly mention Boniface in his epic due to him still being alive during the time of his writing, he still manages to make it a point to let him know there is a place for him in Hell. American Educator Susan Blow studied Dante s Inferno with great respect to the implements of ethics and theology. In the following excerpt, she discusses the Inferno from an ethical and theological point of view, explaining that divine retribution implies man s fundamental ethical responsibility, and that Hell is the Creator s final tribute of respect to the being he made in his own image (Blow, para 1). Blow clearly understood Dante s views and states, His poem is not individual but universal; he utters not his own thought, but the unformulated creed of Christendom. Nay, he reaches beyond Christianity and speaks to the universal conscience of humanity that inward witness which is always calling upon man to rejoice in his freedom and tremble before the responsibility bound up with it (Blow, para 2). Scholar Thomas Peterson looks a little further into Dante s Inferno and why it is that of a parody in some instances. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 30. Examples Of Gender Equality In The Franklin s Tale Chaucer, in The Franklin s Tale , takes Boccaccio s older Italian tale Filocolo and changes three distinct characteristics that transforms the tale into a more modern approach when dealing with courtly love. Chaucer takes the traditional concepts of gender equality, social class, and infidelity and changes them slightly in order to convey how lust can affect one s need for dominance, and make an individual participate in abnormal behavior, such as uncontrollable lust, guilt, and pride. The concept of gender equality is discussed frequently throughout The Franklin s Tale . Chaucer takes Boccaccio s original pattern of having two knights fight over one lower class woman and scrambles it by having a lowly squire chase after a higher class maiden who is already married to an absent husband. This change helps to increase the intensity of the tale by having the women in the traditional place of dominance over the men. Another mention of gender equality is within the relationship of Dorigen, the maiden, and Arveragus, the knight, who originally agree on a marriage where they are both equals, however, when Arveragus gets the chance he chooses to go away to fight in a war and... A political economic approach in the production of media is in contrary to the nature of media itself; accuracy, integrity and authenticity are lost in favor to economic power. A capitalist society is one that exists within an exploitative framework. Our society exists and functions due to labor being exploited by those in a lower social class with the intention of economic profit for those who exploit others. (Marx and Moore, 2001) Ignoring the morality of this ideology, it enables a functioning society to a particular degree. When this theory is applied within the context of a political economy of media production, we can begin to understand its value. The nature of a capitalist society means that human labor worth a monetary value and that is exchanged between the exploiter and the exploited. As such, without a political economic influence, media products would cease to exist. Funding facilitates the production of media labor is required to create, produce, distribute and consume media. All media is influenced by the political economic circumstances, however, the extent in which this model impacts the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 42. Analysis Of The Book Why America Slept By Gerald Posner Daniela Reynoso October 17, 2014 Capron Online CRJ 115 05In the book, Why America Slept: The Failure to Prevent 9/11, by Gerald Posner he argues that the act of terrorism that occurred on September 11, 2001 could have and should have been prevented. He presented a powerful case of how stupidity and misdirected priorities made America an easy aim for terrorists. Gerald Posner, the author of the book was a former Wall Street Lawyer, award winning investigative journalist and bestselling author. Posner purposefully wrote this book to demonstrate all the clues that were given out prior to the attack and inform us on previously undisclosed information after a thorough 18 month investigation. Posner s goal was to discover what the CIA, FBI, and others in the Government were doing behind the scenes for at least a decade leading up to 9/11. The intended audience for this book is anyone who is willing to open their eyes on the true occurrences that happened on 9/11. The title of the piece is related directly to the book and the subject matter of it. America slept on all the clues that they received that there would be a terrorist attack and the book demonstrated how exactly they failed to prevent the acts that occurred on 9 /11. Why America Slept is such a staggering book and Posner successfully demonstrates to the audience how 9/11 could have been prevented through his use of examples and facts. In this powerful and persuasive book, Gerald Posner reveals after an eighteen month ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 43. The Pros And Cons Of Smoking In Public Places Smoking Should Be Banned In Public Places Most of the time non smokers happen to be at places where people are allowed to smoke publicly, one will agree that the habit is irritating. Many different states in the United States and the world as a whole have drafted laws to control the habit of public smoking (Dugan, 2013). Some countries or states have gone ahead to ban smoking in public entirely. The move to ban smoking in public is a prudent one, because it will help save countless lives. The reasons behind the prohibition on smoking in public are that the habit affects non smokers as well as put their lives in danger and this is equal to effects that smoking has on the active smoker. Smoking in public puts the lives of non smokers at risk. In simple terms, the second hand smoke that the active smoker exhales can cause health side effects to the non smoker. Research has shown that the second hand smoke contains more than seven thousand different chemicals that are toxic and among these chemicals, seventy are cancer causing chemicals (U.S. Department of Health Human Services n.p.). This means that being exposed to this smoke is not safe at all as you inhale the toxic chemicals. These toxic chemicals are present even when one inhales a little passed ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... What should be done is that the government needs to come up with smoking zones so that people who want to smoke can do it at these places. The banning of public smoking can impact negatively on businesses such as bars and restaurant that permit people to smoke (Sullum, 1998). The banning of smoking would also keep away people from visiting the places leading them to carry their smoking habits home and this equally has bad effects on the family members. Similarly, based on the fact that smoking tobacco is legal, the government needs not to control its consumption by restricting smokers. Smokers are all adults, and it is their choice to ... Increasingly mills are opting for the latter option by focusing on a wider variety of products, improving quality and providing better value. Yet these changes are not without problems. Despite all the progress the cotton industry has made in marketing its products, the industry still has to compete with the synthetic fiber companies which are terrific marketers as well. However, fiber companies are not limited by an industry wide approach to selling its products. Virtually all fiber companies stress sales of branded products. This is an advantage as they can focus on attributes of their products to stand out from the competition. It s harder with cotton. Expectations for this experiment would to successfully obtain credible information behind the mixed unknown and be able to isolate both the gram negative and gram positive bacterium. In order to obtain the correct test results and to ensure the right gram mixed unknown is identified there had to be a series of eight biochemical tests performed on the gram negative bacterium and five biochemical tests performed on the gram positive bacterium. Introduction The sole purpose behind this conduction was having the ability to understand just how the gram negative and gram positive bacteria can be distinguished and identified when mixed together into one broth. Understanding the basic characteristics as to why each bacterium has the ability to dye certain colors and retain those colors. The gram positive bacteria has the ability to retain the crystal violet color and remain purple as for gram negative bacteria, they cannot hold the purple color and decolorizes when the ethanol hit its. The gram negative bacterium does have the ability to retain the counterstain, which is a pink to red color. This happens because of the thickness of the peptidoglycan layer, in the gram positive the layer is 20 80 nm thick and have a multiply amount of layers but for the gram negative they only have a thin 1 3 nm thick one layered layer (Badon, 2014). In the eyes of medical personnel it is an assumption that antipsychotic drugs could compensate for mental illness, which typically takes long periods of time to thoroughly diagnose, and thus there is no incentive to attempt to correct for the mental illness since there is no guarantee of recovery. The attempt to medicate the offender in order to terminate his life is basically a waste of the tax payer s money. The decision should be made to either label him as mentally ill, medicate him in order to make him better so that he might live a sane life or to terminate his life due to the extremities of his crime. The main goal of capital punishment is the forfeiture of the offenders participation in society by means of termination of life and that terminating a life does not require any special condition to undergo there is no conclusive need to ensure the healthy condition of an offender who is subject to termination of life. If the health of the offender is irrelevant then it can also be stated that the current state of mental illness has no bearing on the proceedings and there is no need to correct this situation prior to execution with a medication. I spent most of my days daydreaming about the mother I did not have. In my dream world, she was well and alive: a beautiful, loving and caring woman who loved me unconditionally. Reading these lines, one might think my life is full and complete, but it is not; I miss having my own child. I wish I had a child of my own. Although they are equipped with the knowledge of how unhealthy smoking can be, people still choose to smoke. It is a personal choice and a highly addictive habit. Smokers choose to subject themselves to the health risks of smoking. It is not for the government or any third party to dictate whether or not a person should be allowed to smoke. However, smokingdoes not only affect the smoker negatively. It also affects all the people around those who smoke because when people smoke in pubic the smoke travels everywhere through the air, and the negative effects of this smoke affects all living, breathing creatures. Therefore smoking should be banned in all public places. People who smoke in public portray a bad example. Children are easily influenced in their growing stages. They imitate the people around them because they cannot differentiate between right and wrong. Therefore they perceive the actions they see around them as the way things should be. Besides that, teenagers who see people smoke in public take it as precedent to start smoking as well. There is a saying that goes monkey see monkey do, which tells us that people imitate the actions of others as they see it in their daily lives.
