This document provides instructions for completing a lab report on longitudinal waves. The purpose is to study different types of waves and their properties. Students will send single waves down a slinky to their partner, and then create longitudinal waves by moving one end of the slinky up and down while keeping the other end stationary. Key properties of longitudinal waves like compression and rarefaction will be observed. Students are instructed to record their observations and measurements in a formal lab report.
