Is there any output from sleep? Where does cat get its input from? What has to happen before the shell

There is no output from sleep (try giving the command sleep 30 by itself).
The /etc/services file provides input for cat (when cat has an argument, it does not check standard
input). The sleep command has to run to completion before the shell displays a prompt.

10. Write a shell script that outputs the name of the shell executing it.
There are many ways to solve this problem. The following solutions are all basically the same. These
scripts take advantage of the PPID shell variable, which holds the PID number of the shell that is the
parent of the process using the variable. They also use the fact that echo changes multiple sequential
SPACEs to a single SPACE. The cut utility interprets multiple sequential SPACEs as multiple

4. Somewhere For Everyone By John Grisham Essay
John Grisham Somewhere for Everyone : The Homeless issue in America Homelessness is referred to
a person or a group of people without a permanent residence. They cannot meet or maintain adequate
housing due to various reasons. According to Project Home; Nearly one quarter (23 percent or
127,787) of all homeless people were children, under the age of 18. Ten percent (or 52,973) were
between the ages of 18 and 24, and 66 percent (or 383,948) were 25 years or older. (2016) with many
of these people experiencing homelessness for episodes of months at a time, this is a growing issue
that faces Americans who are below the poverty line. John Grisham s essay Somewhere for Everyone
reveals the way the public feels and views homeless people. He points out this crisis of homelessness
and how it is growing but even more so is the public s unconcerned approach to the problem. Alana
Samuels How Can the U.S End Homelessness is an essay more focused on the crisis rather than the
public s view. Both incredibly different essays yet both focused on the issue of Homelessness. The
main concentration on both essays includes important subjects about homelessness: the concern for
growing numbers in homelessness, the issues homeless people face, and involvement from the
public/Governemnt. John Grisham showed concern for the growing number of the homeless in his
essay. It starts off by John Grisham reflecting on his life in Mississippi and how the word Homeless

5. Fantasy League Book Themes
Essay
Fantasy League, by Mike Lupica, is a realistic fiction novel about a young boy named Charlie Gaines
who helps the owner of a professional football team find needed players. Charlie Gaines is a 7th
grader who is a backup linebacker for his school football team and a genius when it comes to fantasy
football and trivia. He talks to the owner of the LA Bulldogs, a fictional NFL team, and suggests
various players to sign, earning him fame and the team a chance to make it to the playoffs for the first
time in franchise history. The theme of Fantasy League, which is that things are not always as they
appear, is demonstrated and illustrated by the characters, the plot, and the setting in the novel.
The first element of the novel that conveys the plot is is the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

The setting of the novel is in Los Angeles in a number of places, including a professional and a school
football field, a school, and multiple houses. This shows that extraordinary and unusual things can
happen anywhere, even in the most common places such as school and people s homes. (Lupica)
Another detail this portrays is that in LA, the football team is not very good and doesn t win a lot of
games. Throughout the story, in the setting of LA, things seem bleak for the Bulldogs, as they are
every year, but the team still keep going and turns out to be a playoff caliber team. (Lupica 143, 240)
Lastly, the setting of LA and Hollywood tends to be about people wanting and having fame, but this
time, that is not the case. Charlie Gaines is not the type of character or person who is generally seen
living in Hollywood, one who wants fame and can t get enough of it once he s got it. He is in the
spotlight in the novel, and can t wait to change that, asking for advice on how to stop receiving
attention and stopping his social media posts. (Lupica 131) The theme of Mike Lupica s Fantasy
League is developed partially in the

6. Essay On Stanislavski
Constantin Stanislavski was known as a Russian direction and stage actor who had discovered and
developed a naturalistic performance technique, which is now known as method acting. Stanislavski
was interested and started to work in the theatre business when he was only 13, and developed himself
into becoming a director (Bishop and Jones). He was born in Moscow, Russia in 1863 and by 1897 he
has already developed his own company known as the Moscow Art Theatre, where performances used
method acting and actors were allowed to express their personal emotions into the piece. Stanislavski
was known for his infamous phrases such as stage direction , as these were the building blocks of
modern opera and helped writers such as Maksim Gorki to produce his work ( Constantin Stanislavski
).
Stanislavski s goals were to make the performances on stage look more natural and more realistic.
This was done through a series of techniques called the the Method ( Constantin Stanislavski ). Some
of these techniques were channeling emotional memory, other were more about the given
circumstance of the character s situation at hand. These techniques were watched and analyzed by
psychiatrists to see how the actors would react. Some techniques such as the emotional ... Show more

The proposed solution1 builds a framework to add static probes. This solution was designed and
implemented by me as part of VProbes[7] project during summer internship 2014 at VMware, inc. The
solution in this paper covers a high level overview of the framework. It builds on top of the existing
VProbes[7] design1. User space applications or the existing kernel source can add static probes using
this framework. The paper describes adding static probes in a user space application to keep the
explanation simple. Figure 1 shows a simple user code. The application contains two probe points
defined viz. FuncEntry and FuncExit. These are static probes which are added by the developer. The
probe points are expanded in a macro which is defined in the header file probes.h. Each of these probe
points are declared as a volatile integer variable. However, these integer variables are declared in a
separate section in the ELF file as shown in Figure 2. Thus all the defined probe points are part of new
section called probes_uwsection. The probe points are padded with a name called PROBE_ and
_PROBE to avoid name mangling issue in C++. Hence, after pre processing stage, every probe name
is padded. The application is compiled and loaded. During application load in the kernel, the binary is
intercepted at the ELF loader. In the ELF loader, the binary is checked for the presence of the new
section probes_uwsection. If the new section exists, all the probe points declared in the new

One Hunahph s head is placed in the fork of a Calabash tree and his body is buried with his brothers.
This Calabash tree bore no fruit until the head of One Hunahph is inserted in its branches, and

adoptions to the United States come from China, Ethiopia, and Ukraine (Top 3 Countries).
International adoption, especially through Afghanistan, is a long and complicated process.
International adoption largely began after the end of World War II and the Cold War due to refugee
migrations, famines, and disasters. United States service personnel stationed abroad during war time

Unfortunately, for older established architects learning new designs programs could be challenging
and as a result their business could lack the edge to prosper entirely. Another option is to hire a
designer, however hiring more employees becomes another expense in addition to the expense of
brand new programs that an established architect might not have initially accounted for. With so many
advances in technology and now the concern for more sustainable building construction, established
architects may have a difficult time adjusting to technological advances. Although learning new
programs isn t a necessity, it proves to provide an edge for futuristic architects. Moreover, while some
new aged advancements can be beneficial to the architectural world, some progressions like greener
buildings, although seemingly valuable, have been up for discussion, as well on whether or not the
right guidelines are being adhered by.
The architectural industry is facing another major challenge in the field of sustainability. Sustainable
architecture must adhere to the US Green Building Council s LEED (Leadership in Energy and

sustainable resources to increase an overall better wellness of its inhabitants, while reducing harmful
effects on the environment. In addition, the focus of green building has expanded to help prevent

Q. Explain the factors which make it difficult to amend the US Constitution (15 marks) To amend the
US Constitution, a bill has to go through a two stage process: proposal and ratification. The proposal
stage has to have two thirds majority in both the House of Representatives and the Senate. Every
successful amendment has started this way and even the failed ones. A proposal can also be made by a
Constitutional convention, which is a one off body which is put together for a specific purpose, and
this is called by Congress on petition by two thirds of the states. This method has never been used.
The problem with this proposal method is that the Constitution doesn t state how it should be done and

However, there are implications for ratification. Thirty eight states are needed for ratification. The
problem with this is that there are huge variations in political culture of states the South is known to be
Conservative, North East or West Coast is known to be liberal/Cosmopolitan, North is known to be
urban and industrial and the Midwest is known to be rural and agricultural. Therefore, with the
differences in political culture, there are demands for a nationwide consensus which can prove
difficult. An example of this was the Equal Rights Act which failed to pass the ratification stage as it
was 3 states shy of the 38 needed to pass the ratification stage. It was argued that there was already the
14th Amendment which states the Equal Opportunities Act. But the Equal Rights Act failed because it
ran out of time there was a 7 year time limit and it took 10 years. The amendment process takes place
contemporaneously, meaning it is based on issues happening at the moment. There was also an
economic factor which was said to prevent this Act from passing. Big businesses would have had to
pay out more to ensure both male and females received equal pay. Often these corporate companies
would have connections to politicians themselves, to oppose the Act because the businesses had access
to them and pressure groups did not. The pressure

In Omissions the duty in certain relationships is solely case law, this means you must wait for a case to
happen before you can know whether a duty exists. This means the law might be flexible but it is not
consistent. A possible reform would be to pass legislation setting out the situation where a duty exists.
However, it would be difficult to come up with a definitive list. The law commission report in 1993
suggests only omissions would count in serious offences against a person.
For the mens rea there is a problem with the wording, malice aforethought either expressed or implied
. Lord Gibbord 1988 said malice aforethought was misleading as you don t need to have malice (i.e.
spite) or aforethought (i.e. planned or premeditated). The Mens Rea for murder is interpreted as an
intention to kill or cause GBH. This is a common law definition and is subject to change, making it
flexible but also causing uncertainty.
There are problems with intention also because it has never properly been defined and cases like
Moloney and Hyam only set out guidelines and judges tend to alter between the two. This causes
confusion and uncertainty and leads to jury s verdicts being unfair and inconsistent. It also means that
the decision is opened up and leads to members of the jury being influenced by personal prejudices.

The majority of the success this product has had in the North America can be attributed to the fact that

2014). With the recent release of the DSM V, these have all been combined under one diagnosis of
autism spectrum disorder and are differentiated through the use of numerical scales to describe
severity of effect. Primary diagnostic tests used are the Checklist for Autism Spectrum Disorder,
Childhood Autism Rating Scale (CARS), and Gilliam Asperger s Disorder Scale (GADS). The
Checklist for Autism Spectrum Disorder is the only checklist or rating scale designed to evaluate
children with either low or high functioning autism spectrum disorder. The Childhood Autism Rating
Scale or CARS is used because it has the best psychometric support for children with low functioning
autism when compared with other autism rating scales. The Gilliam Asperger s Disorder Scale or
GADS is used because it is the only scale for high functioning autistic children in the age range of
early childhood to adolescence (Mayes, S. D., Calhoun, S., Murray, M., et al. 2009). Through the use
of these diagnostic tools to determine the evidence of a PDD and its severity of symptomatic
characteristics, a subject can be diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and classified into severity
of autism.
The variance in severity on the autism spectrum can be seen through a comparison of a high and a low

Progress in reducing maternal mortality has been slow and uneven, including in Latin America, where
23,000 women die each year from preventable causes. Citation (research) The International Planned
Parenthood Federation helps address this concerns; this organization is located in 170 countries. This
paper will specifically focus on the globalization issues within five Latin states as well as the
economic plans within the IPPF overall. The International Planned Parenthood Federation can benefit
from economic globalization, however, it really depends on the global market and government
monitoring specifically within the Latin states. This includes expenses, exchange loss, transparency
and restricted funding. It is of my opinion that the International Planned Parenthood indeed does
benefit from economic globalization within certain limitations. I think it is important to first
understand what the International Planned Parenthood Federation does and why its existence is
essential in this world. The International Planned Parenthood Federation is a global service provider
and a leading advantage of sexual and reproductive health and rights for all. We are a worldwide
movement of national organizations working with and for communities and individuals. IPPF works
towards the world where women, men and young people everywhere have control over their own
bodies, and therefore their destinies. The world where they are free to choose parenthood or not; free

25. Informative Essay On Albinism
How many of you know someone with albinism? Can you visualize that person? Or what do you think
an albino looks like? What stereotype comes to mind? I m sure many of you may think that albinos
have the red or pink eyes with white skin and hair, but most of you probably don t know that is not
always true.
For those of you who don t know, I have a type of albinism that will be discussing today along with
what albinism, who gets it, the different types, the symptoms, and if there is a treatment or not.
Most of you may ask, What is albinism and who gets it? Albinism is a rare genetic disorder that causes
the skin, hair, and eyes to have little to no color. About 1 in 18,000 to 20,000 people in the United
States have a form of albinism, stated by Rose Kivi, author of the article Albinism Health line
published on November 23, 2015.
Albinism is caused by a mutation in one of several genes. It also has a defect in one of several genes
that produce or distribute melanin. Melanin is the pigment responsible for the color of the skin, hair
and eyes. People who have albinism are more susceptible to developing skin cancer because there is a
lack of melanin produced in the body. Melanin also plays a huge role in the eyes, so the lack of
pigment causes them to be extremely sensitive to light, according to the article Albinism last updated
on May 24, 2016.
The people who are at risk for albinism are people who inherit a gene from one or both of their parents

26. Summary Of Don T Waste Your Life By John Piper
For my book report I read Don t Waste your Life by John Piper. The book, just like the title makes it
out to be, explains in great detail Piper s ultimate fear in life was that he would waste it. A sermon
really touched his heart and that day he made a goal to have a life that mattered and made a difference
for the Kingdom. He understands everything in this world will fade, but what s done for Christ will
last (Piper 12). He grows up seeking different people and books to figure out what he can do to have a
life that won t be wasted. After much patience, Piper had a revelation that God created me and you to
live with a single, all embracing, all transforming passion namely, a passion to glorify God by
enjoying and displaying his supreme excellence in all the spheres of life (Piper 31). He explains that in
order to live a life that you will not waste by glorifying God, we first have to understand Christ s
crucifixion and live a life that glorifies what He did for us on the cross and then realize the passion
God has placed in our hearts. God is so worthy that we should strive to fully display his glory and be
delighted in doing so. Another major point from this book is understanding what Philippians 1:21
states To live is Christ, and to die is gain. Piper focuses on how we can glorify God through death.
Many wonder how that is possible because after you die, you cannot evangelize to the world. Well the
answer is simple, we get to magnify Christ through our death. If

27. Racism In Gran Torino
Gran Torino, directed by Clint Eastwood, is a very moving and captivating drama. It s a simple story
about tolerance and cultural differences, but also one of hope, self sacrifice, and unlikely friendships.
A former auto worker at Ford, Walt Kowalski has just had to put his longtime wife to rest when the
story opens. From his scowl, it looks as if he would like to join her. Instead he sits on his front porch
chugging can after can of cheap beer in the company of his yellow Labrador, Daisy, while watching
the world at a safe distance with a squint and a stream of bitter commentary. The remaining members
of his family, including two sons with big houses, big cars, big waistlines, have no choice but to let
him stew alone.
Gran Torino tackles racism head on. Although the main character Walt Kowalski, played by Clint
Eastwood, is prejudiced against almost everyone, the film focuses on an Asian neighborhood,
uncovering racism and violence. The neighborhood has gone down hill since it has become immigrant
dominated. The house next door is now owned by a Hmong family, a widespread South east Asian
minority, and Walt does not trouble to distinguish them from the Koreans he fought in the 1950s.
Throughout the film, we learn Walt had to kill many Koreans as part as his duty as a soldier during
that period of time. The film takes a twist when the bitter old war veteran s life takes an unexpected
turn after Thao, a shy, teenage boy who lives next door to Walt is bullied by his

Castration Legality of Repeated Sex Offenders: Is it Ethical?
Upon Google searching (2017), define castration , one will find that it is the state of being deprived of

are disabled. Indeed, castration does not do anything less than apprehend a man s dignity. However,
under the circumstances of repeated sexual offenses by an adult male, does he not deserve it as
punishment? Some may attest that castration is unethical and it should be illegal in all fifty states.
Others may inquire that it is an effective method for sex offenders to avoid recidivism. The primary

The eight states are California, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Montana, Oregon, Texas, and Wisconsin
(Norman Eady, 2006). If I was requested to propose a bill in regard to the castration of high risk sex
offenders, first and foremost, it would be legal in all fifty U.S. states and punishable to both males and
females. Note that I said, high risk sex offenders , and not simply sex offenders. For someone to be
considered a high risk sex offender, they will have to repeat a sexual offense two or more times. With
that being said, sex offenders with one offense should be allowed to lessen their sentence if they
choose castration. Castration should be mandatory upon each high risk offender s release. They should
be able to choose whether the castration is chemical or surgical, but must pay for the procedure. This
procedure will not be effective for all types of sex offenders. Some sex offenders commit their crimes
because of drug and alcohol abuse. Therefore, sex drive is not the most crucial factor in those cases.
This bill would apply to the offenders who were driven by testosterone and other sexual hormones.
Each offender must meet with parole office for the remainder of their life. This is to discuss any sexual
urges and to test the individuals to make sure they are not using any drugs or medications to contribute
to their sex drive. If they are still not able to refrain from committing a sexual offense after the

The Future of Customer Experience And Customer Service By BlackBerry

This case study makes us aware of the potential future of customer experience management with the
advances in technology.
Customer experience (CX) is the sum of all experiences a customer has with a supplier of goods or

attraction, interaction, purchase, use, cultivation and advocacy. It can also be used to mean an
individual experience over one transaction; the distinction is usually clear ... Show more content on

There are hundreds of examples, with more coming every day.
The point is these increasing levels of digitally driven personalization allow customers to choose what
they consume, from whom, and how they interact with and consume it. These digital experiences are
training smart customers to expect everything, from every company product, services, experiences,
and more to be customized in a similar manner. When it comes to innovative customer experience, this
all leads to one word: personalization.
One Size Fits All Simply Doesn t Fly Anymore. And It Doesn t Have To. No company can afford to or
needs to deliver a fully customized ideal experience to each individual customer across the range of
digital, human, and static touchpoints and interactions.
The fact is, some customers are simply worth more than others, and it takes a great deal of intelligence
for companies to figure out what the right experiences are for any given group of customers, much
less how to personalize them.
The good news is, smart touchpoints and the data they can produce, combined with the ability to
analyze the digital breadcrumbs and data that surrounds almost every customer, means that any firm of
any size has the tools for intelligent personalization at hand.
Starting with what can be the biggest step, a firm needs to be willing to adjust its offerings to the
needs of individual customers based on an understanding of what those individual

The idea of civil service dates back to ancient times. But bureaucracy is modern terms that evolved
with the emergence of Public Administration as an academic field. Politics administration dichotomy
is one of the most important factor in the Study of Public Administration by Woodrow Wilson in 1887
(Afegbua: 2013). Nature of administration, the extent of work by bureaucracy and many other issues
are characterized by the relationship between politics and administration. Bangladesh has experienced
different forms of government regime from military autocratic to democratic republic. Before
liberation, it experienced government system under British Colonialism and government by Pakistan
as it was part of Pakistan earlier. Due to the variation in the forms of government the relations between
politics and administration were also different.
The Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) is one of the most important pillars of the National

administration of the country. PSC s independence, political neutrality, transparency, accountability,

this type of prejustice also plays a role in sports throughout history and up until this day. One main
issue is religion. I am a Muslim and I am proud to follow the religion of Islam. Many people judge
and have things to say because of the scarf us Muslims choose to wear on our heads. Many girls who
wear head scarfs are discriminated against and nobody seems to want them on their team. Imagine you
love sports, work hard, play games and for the real competitions somebody tells you are not allowed
to wear a piece of clothing on your head. This is what many Muslim women across the globe have to
experience each day. In my opinion these are the types of things that need more media coverage, even
the NFL should speak publicly about. It is not fair that somebody is discriminated against because of
the color of their skin, what religion they choose to follow, or how the live their life. If somebody
wants to and it is their dream and passion he/she should be allowed to play. Others should stress this
argument and do whatever it takes for this to happen and for hate to be diminished. Athletic rivalry,

34. How Does Golding Use Symbols In Lord Of The Flies
Symbolism in The Lord of The Flies
It is impossible to read William Golding s novel, The Lord of the Flies, without noticing the
symbolism that was present. A symbol can be a person, place, or thing that represents something more
than its literal meaning (Telgen 15) From butterflies to actual characters, you could sense that this
book contained symbolism. Although Lord of the Flies appears on the surface to be a mere story about
children abandoned on an island, William Golding uses symbolism to convey a deeper meaning.
This novel had many accounts of symbolism. It also captured the keen interest of their instructors in
debating the merits and defeats of different characters and the hunting down of literary sources and
deeper symbolic meanings in the story (Telgen 2). Most of the events, characters, and objects had
symbolic meanings. His narrative style has an unusual lucidity and vitality because he never forgets
the concrete in his search for symbolic action (Cox 2). Golding consistently looked for ways to add
symbols in his novel. Many critics pointed out how much this story was symbolic. A story so

The lack of parenthood in The Destructors is the primary reason the boys in the gang have the dark

knack for getting into trouble, and a longing to mess with what they shouldn t; these attributes are
definitely present in the boys in the gang. Children should be raised by parents that teach them right

39. Consequences Of Teen Drinking
Consequences of Underaged Drinking
By: Ashley Thomas
Underaged drinking is becoming more of a problem every year. There are many negative
consequences that coincide with this risky activity; other than the obvious fact that it is illegal. These
consequences include: violent behavior, risky sexual activity, engaging in dangerous activities putting
oneself in harm s way, drunk driving, and long term effects such as brain damage and depression.
Whether the person engages in drinking regularly and simply believes nothing bad will happen to
them, or has been talked into drinking for the first time, both are put at equal risk for any of these
events to occur. Arguably some of the most devastating side effects of drinking at a young age are
changes in the way the brain develops. The human brain does not stop developing until one is well
into their twenties. Because of this, Young people that consume/abuse alcohol, are put at a much
higher risk of early onset depression and alcohol dependence into adulthood. The more concerning
aspect of this is teens that start having problems with depression, due to drinking, often lie about their
habits, thus not getting help until it is too late. More times than not, young people do not confide in
parents for fear of judgement and/or ridicule. Situations like these often cause young adults to feel
alone and isolate themselves from those who wish to help, quite possibly resulting in suicide. The best
way to avoid this is for parents to be

With the advancing globalized society that we live in, social media has become a political outlet for
civilians of the interconnected world. Through this technological circuit, citizens are able to speak
freely about the issues that concern them, giving them the ability to connect with others who share the
same perspective. Looking through a development perspective, it is evident that social media outlets,
for example twitter, have lead to major political uproar, such as the Arab Uprisings of 2011, or as
popularized by the Western media, The Arab Spring . At this time, the demands of the protestors in the
Arab region indicated their desire for greater social and economic justice and were made as a response
to the growing concern regarding the Egyptian economy s tie into the capitalist world market (Haynes,
2013). The Arab Spring was not solely a revolt against authoritarian regimes but also expressions of a
crisis caused by the imbalanced social order brought upon by neoliberal policies (Bogaert, 2013).
During this time, citizenry relied heavily on social media to spread information and promote insurgent
agendas. Globalization and the technological facets of our hegemonic society have allowed for regular
civilians to become part of the political system as exemplified through the use of social media during
the Arab Spring.

success in the future. On the other hand, the Pantheon in Rome was introduced originally as a temple
dedicated to all the deities of pagan Rome. It was eventually sanctified and made into a Christian
church in the later century. When taking a closer look at the Wentworth Hall and comparing it to the

Throughout this comparison, I wish to discover the characteristics shared by both the Wentworth Hall
and Pantheon and the special meanings behind these two old buildings.
The history of the Pantheon project was originally from the emperor Augustus and built by the
architect Marcus Vipsanius Agrippa. During the reign of the Roman emperor Titus, in approximately
80 A.D, the Pantheon temple was burned down in a fire. Eventually, the third Roman emperor
Domitian of the Flavian dynasty rebuilt a new temple there, but this one was also destroyed in a fire in
110 A.D. Around 120 A.D Roman period, King Hadrian rebuilt the third Pantheon in a more modern
style and this is the temple we have today. Apollodorus of Damascus, who was an architect designer
during that period of time, assisted King Hadrian in rebuilding the best preserved Roman monument,
the new Pantheon. The reconstruction of this project started soon after Hadrian became emperor and it
was probably completed by 125 A.D. To honor Agrippa, Hadrian left a message over the door written
in early Greek. Hadrian mentioned that he was the originally creator who had built the temple.
The Pantheon building has had just a tremendously complex architectural history. When they built the
Pantheon around 120 A.D, the skilled architects applied advanced engineering technology in

44. Formative Critique
espond Danielle, I really like the format of this lesson. You make it fun during the reading by asking
the students questions that are silly and have no correct response, but engage the students in the story.
Your formative assessment is nice. I like the way you practice with the whole class so no one student
is singled out and feels pressured if they do not comprehend the information. Then, you travel to a
more in depth assessment of individual students by analyzing them segmenting the words on their
own. Critique I really like the way you formatted this assessment. A critique I have is that I am a bit
confused on the coins. I do not really understand their purpose in this assessment. I am sure that you
have a purpose for them, but that

45. Why Apostille FBI Background Check Certificate
Why Apostille an FBI Background Check Certificate?
It is not uncommon for foreign countries and associated agencies to request Apostille authentication
on certain required documentation, especially when it comes to a background check. An Apostille is a
unique form of authentication used to validate specific documentation, and it is commonly requested
by countries that are a part of the Hague Convention of 1961. Whenever an individual is considering
relocating to, working in or adopting a child from a foreign country that is a part of the Hague
expansion, it is best that they obtain an FBI background check certificate with Apostille
authentication, as it will likely be required.
There are some countries, such as Korea, that automatically require that every American have an
Apostille FBI background check certificate in order obtain a work visa, and there are no exceptions.
Failing to obtain an Apostille authenticated FBI background check will result in the denial of a work
visa. It is also important to understand that while most state offices will Apostille documents, there are
certain countries that will only accept documents that are apostilled by the U.S. Department of State.

46. Essay on Fear in Cellar Stairs
Fear in Cellar Stairs
Poetry is about emotion not only the emotion displayed in the many layers
of a poem s language, but also the emotional layers created in the reader.
Some poetry can be light and happy, other poetry can be ecstatic and ethereal;
and at the opposite extreme, poetry can be dark and downright threatening. Such
a poem is Cellar Stairs by the contemporary poet Thomas Lux.
It s rickety down to the dark, states the first line. The poem starts out with
an image of darkness, compounded by the feeling of instability ( rickety ). The
lack of any physical room or area leaves us feeling disoriented and groundless.
All we know is that we are going ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
But we are still
afraid.
Lines five through nine describe the normally harmless objects that reside on the shelf.
This time, though, the objects are dangerous. Everything has an edge the shears, the weed
hacker, the ice pick except the poison, which can kill both kinds of vermin, rats and
bugs (6 7). A triple threat, the shelf: we can be poisoned either of two ways or stabbed.
The landing, normally a safe area on any flight of stairs, is also trapped: the keg of
roofing nails that beckons your face to slam into it (8 9). This describes another level
of emotion, as well. We have progressed from being afraid of the dark to being scared for
our life. The specific threats have been identified and we are under attack.
47. Lines ten through eighteen become globally symbolic of torture, while maintaining the
chilling level of personal threat. The fuse box goes from a damning symbol of sin (the
slot machine gambling is a sin) (11) to a symbol of death (the switch for the electric
chair that the warden pulls ) (12). The author speaks of the boots, singular, on every
stair, alone (14 16). The dead left them there, short legged on their way down to the
Hell at the bottom of the stairs (16 17).

48. The Importance Of Professionalism In Pharmacy, At The...
Having professional etiquette is one of the most important factors that contribute to a successful
healthcare career. Professionalism within health care includes values to promote the good of every
patient in a compassionate, caring and respectful manner. In the article, At the Pharmacy, Chekhov
instructs pharmacists as to what they should not do in regards to lack of empathy, attention, and
interaction towards the patient, which ultimately leads to the deterioration of the patient s health. In
fact, the pharmacist should be concerned about the patient s worries, and create an environment where
care, trust, and effective communication is used to address the patient s concerns, as well as ensure the
efficient delivery of prescriptions. The pharmaceutical practice has gone beyond the role of medicine
dispensary and has acquired a significant role in the field of healthcare itself. Pharmacists are not only
experts in medicine but unique among other professionals because of their accessibility as healthcare
providers. They are more involved in educating patients on the proper use and consistency of
medications, solving different problems and seeking new challenges day to day. I enjoy helping people
and want to become an advocate for improving the quality of life of my future patients as a whole,
which leads me to continue pursuing a career as a Pharmacist. It is also worthwhile remembering
Chekhov s assertion that, Science and medicine may change over the years, but the
