What is a Radar?
>The idea is for the radar antenna to send out a burst of radio energy, which is
then reflected back by any object it happens to encounter.
>The radar antenna measures the time it takes for the reflection to arrive, and
with that information can tell how far away the object is.
>The metal body of an airplane is very good at reflecting radar signals, and this
makes it easy to find and track airplanes with radar equipment.
●INTRODUCTION:--
●The goal of stealth technology is to make an airplane invisible to radar.
●There are two ways to create invisibility:-
–-->The airplane can be shaped so that any radar signals it reflects are reflected away from the
radar equipment.
---->The airplane can be covered in materials that absorb radar signals.

Stealth Technology
Most conventional aircraft have a rounded shape. This shape makes them aerodynamic,
but it also creates a very efficient radar reflector.
Stealth Technology
–->The round shape means that no matter where the radar signal hits the plane, some of
the signal gets reflected back.
--->In order to make airplanes invisible to radar it designed in such a way that the ray
doesn't get reflected to the Radar Equipment.
–->Difference between Ordinary and Stealth Aircraft.

Radar Absorbent Material:
●
Radar-absorbent material, or RAM, is a class of materials used in stealth technology to
disguise a vehicle or structure from radar detection. A material's absorbency at a given
frequency of radar wave depends upon its composition. RAM cannot perfectly absorb radar
at any frequency, but any given composition does have greater absorbency at some
frequencies than others; no one RAM is suited to absorption of all radar frequencies.

Plasma Stealth Technology:
●
Plasma stealth is proposed process to use ionized gas to reduce radar cross section of ab
aircraft. Interactions between electromagnetic radiation and ionized gas have been
extensively studied for many purposes, including concealing aircraft from radar as stealth
technology. Various methods might plausibly be able to form a layer or cloud of plasma
around a vehicle to deflect or absorb radar.
