understand how their patients think, develop, understand, and their outcomes in certain situations. The

Causes And Effects Of The Titanic
The Titanic was the dream ship, the unsinkable ship. It was supposed to sail from Southampton,
England to New York on April 10, 1912. But the dream ship never made it to New York (Tibballs 25).
The disaster of the Titanic was both tragic and adventures. The passengers were both poor and very
wealthy (Staff). The people were seeking adventure in a new country. Some went to travel, others
went to live the American dream and start a new life ( The Sinking... ). The dream of the people came
to an end on April 14, 1912. The Titanic was known as the greatest ship ever built: luxurious,
unsinkable, and unbelievably big (Dubowski 4). The Titanic was more than 882 feet long and 92 feet
wide, and it stood 175 feet tall (Dubowski 5). Even though the Titanic was a large ship, it only carried
four collapsible boats and sixteen lifeboats, which wasn t enough boats to accommodate all the
passengers on the ship (Sherrow 10). The cost of a first class parlor suite ticket range from $1,724
$4,350. In today s time, the ticket will cost about $100,000 (Tibballs 30). The first class passengers
had a low opportunity to survive the Titanic voyage (Staff). The Titanic s famous Captain Edward J.
Smith was going to retire after planning the Titanic s voyage (Rosenburg). The first day at sea was a
success. Captain Smith felt like he should make the voyage to New York sooner than expected
(Sherrow 22). The passengers were having a great time and happy with the progress of the Titanic
(Dubowski 13). The Titanic had received the first report of ice on April 14th (Rosenburg). The last
warning was sent out between 9:30 p.m. regarding the Titanic had sheets of ice in their pathway

Abstract Research has proven that people are able to make judgements with a fair amount of accuracy.
These perceptions are drawn from cultural stereotypes that lead to categorization of others into social
categories. The LGBT community has been a subject of interest over the past 25 30 years. Research
has been dedicated into searching for the neurological, biological and social correlates associated with
this community. The main focus of the research has been on the ability to identify people who are gay.
The term gaydar has been coined by different researchers in the field and it relates to the ability to
perceive another individual who is gay. However, the research involved has been strictly tied to
psychology and as a result its implications are subjective in nature. The current work utilized event
related potentials to measure the cognitive processes associated with making the determination of one
s sexual orientation. 21 heterosexual and homosexual male participants had electrodes placed on their
scalp to measure their brain activity in response to 120 pictures of gay or straight men. Results found
that homosexual males exerted more effort when processing the faces of the targets.

The Seven Days Campaign of 1862 was a sequence of battles that took place along the Virginia
Peninsula east of Richmond between the Union Army of the Potomac and the Confederate Virginia
Army. The campaign consisted of the following six battles: Mechanicsville, Gaines Mill, and Savage
Station, engagement at Oak Swamp Bridge, and battles of Frazier s Farm and Malvern Hill over a
seven day period. Major General George B. McClellan led the Union Army of nearly 104,000 soldiers,
while General Robert Edward Lee led the Confederate Army of nearly 92,000 soldiers during this

the play of language through the speaker s discourse, implications, and ordering. The poem s linguistic
contributions help perform the speaker s poetic purpose. Before entering into the structural form of the
poem, understanding the speaker s motivations can assist in perceiving the reason for choosing the
structure of a villanelle. The speaker appears to be a woman who, perhaps, recently lost a lover. The
final stanza introduces an apostprophé, you, revealing the speaker s motivation for writing. Even
