- Insufficient knowledge of qualifications - You do not feel you know the candidate's qualifications,
skills, work, or achievements well enough to speak to them in a letter.
- Inability to recommend strongly - While you may know the candidate, you have reservations about
their fit or abilities for the specific opportunity that would prevent you from writing a strongly
supportive letter.
