Is Artificial Intelligence (AI) A Threat To Humans?Bernard Marr
Should we be concerned that artificial intelligence (AI) is a threat to humans? While it certainly has the potential to be dangerous, if we do our homework, it doesn’t have to be according to Oxford University Professor Nick Bostrom and best-selling author of Superintelligence: Paths, Dangers, Strategies.
Title: Incredible developments in Artificial intelligence which was the future scenario.
Here I discussed the with the major backbones of AI (Machine learning, Neural networks) types Machine learning and type of Artificial intelligence and with some real-time examples of AI and ML & Benefits and Future of AI with some pros and Cons of Artificial Intelligence.

Robots are autonomous or semi-autonomous machines meaning that they can act independently of external commands. Artificial intelligence is software that learns and self-improves.
Why Artificial Intelligence?
• Computers can do computations, by fixed programmed rules
• A.I machines perform tedious tasks efficiently & reliably.
• computers can’t understanding & adapting to new situations.
• A.I aims to improve machine to do such complex tasks.
Advantages of A.I:
Error Reduction
Difficult Exploration(mining & exploration processes)
Daily Application(Siri, Cortana)
Digital Assistants(interact with users)
Medical Applications(Radiosurgery)
Repetitive Jobs(monotonous)
No Breaks
Some disadvantages of A.I:
High Cost
Unemployment
Weaponization
No Replicating Humans
No Original Creativity
No Improvement with Experience
Safety/Privacy Issues
Artificial intelligence will be a Greatest invention Until Machines under the human control. Otherwise The new ERA will be There…..!
What Are The Negative Impacts Of Artificial Intelligence (AI)?Bernard Marr
Artificial intelligence (AI) is doing a lot of good and will continue to provide many benefits for our modern world, but along with the good, there will inevitably be negative consequences. The sooner we begin to contemplate what those might be, the better equipped we will be to mitigate and manage the dangers.

What is AI and how it works? What is early history of AI. what are risks and benefits of AI? Current status and future of AI. General perceptions about AI. Achievement of AI. Will AI be more beneficent or more destructive?
Will the machines save us or kill us all? – that is the question. While many are thrilled with the latest AI
breakthroughs and dream of a shinning AI-powered world, others, like Bill Gates, Elon Musk, Steve Wozniak and the late
and legendary Stephen Hawking, expressed concerns about the evolution of the machines and warned about an
apocalyptic future.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

12. 1. Myth: “AI would took all our jobs.”
Reality: There’s no question that artificial intelligence is poised to uproot and replace
many existing jobs, from factory work to the upper echelons of white collar work.
Some experts predict (PDF) that half of all jobs in the US are vulnerable to
automation in the near future.
13.
14.
15.
16. 2. Myth: “We will never create AI with human-like intelligence.”
Reality: We already have computers that match or exceed
human capacities in games like chess and Go, stock market
trading, and conversations. Computers and the algorithms
that drive them can only get better, and it’ll only be a matter
of time before they excel at nearly any human activity.
17. 3. Myth: ““Artificial intelligence will be conscious.”
Reality: A common assumption about machine intelligence is that it’ll be
conscious—that is, it’ll actually think the way humans do. What’s more, critics
like Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen believe that we’ve yet to achieve
artificial general intelligence (AGI), i.e. an intelligence capable of performing
any intellectual task that a human can, because we lack a scientific theory of
consciousness.
18. 4. Myth: “We should be afraid of AI”
Reality: In January, Facebook founder Mark Zuckemberg said we shouldn’t
fear AI, saying it will do an amazing amount of good in the world. He’s half
right; we’re poised to reap tremendous benefits from AI—from self-driving
cars to the creation of new medicine—but there’s no guarantee that every
instantiation of AI will be begin.
19. 5. Myth: “Artificial super intelligence will be too smart to make
mistakes.”
Reality: AI researcher and founder of Surfing Samurai Robots, Richard
Loosemore thinks that most AI doomsday scenarios are incoherent, arguing
that these scenarios always involve an assumption that the AI is supposed to
say “I know that destroying humanity is the result of a glitch in my design,
but I am compelled to do it anyway
20. 6. Myth: “Machines would be out of control.”
Reality: Improving AI machines means greater control mechanism
21. 7. Myth: “We will be destroyed by artificial super intelligence.”
Reality: There’s no guarantee that AI will destroy us, or that we won’t find
ways to control and contain it. As AI theorist Eliezer Yudkowsky said, “The AI
does not hate you, nor does it love you, but you are made out of atoms
which it can use for something else.”
22. 8. Myth: “Risks from AI and robotics are the same.”
Reality: This is a particularly common mistake (good examples here and
here), one perpetuated by an uncritical media and Hollywood films like the
Terminator movies.
23. 9. Myth: “AI is only about making Smart Robots.”
Reality: AI is broader field which aim is to make smart algorithms, data
mining, machine learning, search, etc….
