This document provides an overview of artificial intelligence, including its history, creators, types, and current applications. It defines AI as concerned with building intelligent machines that can perform human tasks. The modern history of AI began in 1956 when John McCarthy proposed the term. Alan Turing invented the Turing machine in the 1940s. There are three main types of AI: artificial narrow intelligence, artificial general intelligence, and artificial super intelligence. Currently, AI is used in applications like chatbots, healthcare, data security, social media, and Tesla's self-driving cars. The document concludes that while AI is not yet as intelligent as depicted in films, its development will significantly change the world.

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).
Speakers:
Bob Boule
Robert Boule is a technology enthusiast with PASSION for technology and making things work along with a knack for helping others understand how things work. He comes with around 20 years of solution engineering experience in application security, software continuous delivery, and SaaS platforms. He is known for his dynamic presentations in CI/CD and application security integrated in software delivery lifecycle.
Gopinath Rebala
Gopinath Rebala is the CTO of OpsMx, where he has overall responsibility for the machine learning and data processing architectures for Secure Software Delivery. Gopi also has a strong connection with our customers, leading design and architecture for strategic implementations. Gopi is a frequent speaker and well-known leader in continuous delivery and integrating security into software delivery.

Search and Society: Reimagining Information Access for Radical FuturesBhaskar Mitra
The field of Information retrieval (IR) is currently undergoing a transformative shift, at least partly due to the emerging applications of generative AI to information access. In this talk, we will deliberate on the sociotechnical implications of generative AI for information access. We will argue that there is both a critical necessity and an exciting opportunity for the IR community to re-center our research agendas on societal needs while dismantling the artificial separation between the work on fairness, accountability, transparency, and ethics in IR and the rest of IR research. Instead of adopting a reactionary strategy of trying to mitigate potential social harms from emerging technologies, the community should aim to proactively set the research agenda for the kinds of systems we should build inspired by diverse explicitly stated sociotechnical imaginaries. The sociotechnical imaginaries that underpin the design and development of information access technologies needs to be explicitly articulated, and we need to develop theories of change in context of these diverse perspectives. Our guiding future imaginaries must be informed by other academic fields, such as democratic theory and critical theory, and should be co-developed with social science scholars, legal scholars, civil rights and social justice activists, and artists, among others.

"Impact of front-end architecture on development cost", Viktor TurskyiFwdays
I have heard many times that architecture is not important for the front-end. Also, many times I have seen how developers implement features on the front-end just following the standard rules for a framework and think that this is enough to successfully launch the project, and then the project fails. How to prevent this and what approach to choose? I have launched dozens of complex projects and during the talk we will analyze which approaches have worked for me and which have not.

3. WHAT IS ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE?
• Artificial intelligence (AI) is concerned with building smart machines capable of
performing tasks that typically require human intelligence.
• AI is an interdisciplinary science with multiple approaches, but advancements
in machine learning and deep learning are creating a paradigm shift in virtually
every sector of the tech industry.
5. CREATORS OF AI
•
John McCarthy
- Father of Artificial Intelligence
• The modern history of AI can be traced back to
the year 1956, when John McCarthy proposed the
term as topic for a conference held at Dartmouth
College
6. ALAN TURING
• Alan Turing inventor
Turing Machine in late
1940's to decode the
encrypted messages of
Enigma
7. WHY AI ?
• Artificial Intelligence enhances the speed,
precision and effectiveness of human efforts
• Artificial intelligence makes it possible for
machines to learn from experience, adjust to
new inputs and perform human-like tasks.
8. FIRST AI MACHINE
• The first working AI programs were written in 1951
to run on the Ferranti Mark 1 machine of
the University of Manchester: a checkers-playing
program written by Christopher Strachey and a
chess-playing program written by Dietrich Prinz.
• "Alpha Zero" is a computer program developed by
artificial intelligence research company "Deep Mind"
to master of the games of chess, shogi and go.
9. DEEP BLUE
• Deep Blue was a chess-playing computer
developed by IBM. It was the first computer
to win both a chess game and a chess
match against a reigning world champion
under regular time controls.
11. TYPES OF AI
• Artificial Narrow Intelligence
• Artificial General Intelligence
• Artificial Super Intelligence
12. ARTIFICIAL NARROW INTELLIGENCE
• ANI is also known as Weak artificial intelligence (weak AI) .
• It is artificial intelligence that implements a limited part of mind, or as narrow AI.
• It is focused on one narrow task.
• In simple words it would be useful for testing hypothesis about minds, but would
not actually be minds.
13. ARTIFICIAL GENERAL INTELLIGENCE
• Artificial general intelligence (AGI) is the intelligence of a computer program that
has the capacity to understand or learn any intellectual tasks that a human being
can perform.
• It is a primary goal of some artificial intelligence research and a common topic in
science fiction and future studies.
• It is the representation of generalized human cognitive abilities in software so that,
faced with an unfamiliar task the AI machine could find a solution.
14. ARTIFICIAL SUPER INTELLIGENCE (ASI)
• Artificial super intelligence (ASI), is the hypothetical intelligence that doesn’t just
mimic or understand human intelligence and behaviour.
• It is where machines become self-aware and surpass the capacity of human
intelligence and ability.
16. WORLD IN THE HANDS OF AI
• Artificial intelligence (AI) is changing our way of life, meaning
to impersonate human insight by a PC/machine in settling
different issues.
• AI was intended to defeat more manageable issues like
dominating a chess match, language recognition, and picture
recovery.
• With the innovative headways, AI is getting progressively
sophisticated at doing what people do, yet more effectively,
quickly, and at a lower cost in tackling complex issues

19. CONCLUSION
Artificial Intelligence is the product of both science and myth
Artificial Intelligence and technology are one side of the life that always interests
and suprises us with the new ideas, topics, innovations, products etc.,
AI is still not implemented as film depicts(Intelligent robots). However it is for
sure that development in this field will change the complete scenario of world
now.
