4. At the top of the magazine is a skyline which has been inserted to state/inform/remind the audience the status which Q magazine holds. Just below the skyline the magazine logo is big and bold, in the red and white the Q is distinctive and easily recognizable The cover lines on the Left hand side are filled in a white background, this is mainly done to make sure the cover lines are noticed and easy to read because the cover lines tell the readers what else the magazine contains, which is important for them to know because it may influence them to purchase the magazine. Cheryl Cole (Model) is the main image of the cover, the image is captured in a close up, showing detail of her face. This image is the first thing the audience will notice. Her expression is sexual and seductive, she is looking straight into the camera (direct address) which creates a connection which the audience. She is wearing red lipstick which links in with the house colours: white, red and black. Cheryl is posing with her tongue slightly out licking her juicy lips, to add to the seductive image she had wet hair this is emphasized by the rain drops dripping from her face and hair. . Both the main article and the main image are linked together, the main article is formatted in red and white but ROCKS is presented in a larger font which is placed in the centre of the magazine and this also uses more of the width of the magazine. On the right hand side there are more cover lines used, but compared to the ones on the left these cover lines are more bold and important. Buzz words have been used to make sure the audience notice the information, ‘THE 10 BEST NEW ACTS’ is formatted in a larger font than any other cover line making it more noticeable to the audience. Buzz words like BEST can influence the audience to read further more into the magazine. A button has been used in the magazine, a button is separate to everything on the magazine but because it is within the house colours (in this case grey) the audience recognise it is part of the magazine. The button contains a small amount of information about what else is in the magazine, it separates this information from the cover lines.

5. A pull quote has been used in a large format, this is the first bit of text the audience will read because it is the most noticeable. The quote is used from the text, it should give the readers a taste of what the main text contains and make them eager to carry on and read the main article On the left of the double page spread a image is inserted in a larger size, this is the main image which reflects the text. It gives the audience a visual preference of the text, allowing them to see what the writer is writing about instead of using their own imagination. The main text contains the detail of the topic going into depth and being very informative. The text is presented in columns, structuring the text relevantly, all the text is formatted in a very distinctive small font, mainly because there is a lot of text to be fitted on one page, but also makes the audience take their time as they need to look closer. A seen on the right there is a separate column which is filled which a different colour makes it stand out more. This column allows the reader to easily read the tracks MCR have on their album, a separate column like that is used to give extra relevant information about the topic which is being discussed.
