This document discusses a project in India that uses dirty comingled plastic waste in road construction. It aims to create value while addressing challenges of plastic waste disposal. The process involves blending shredded plastic with hot bitumen or coating hot aggregates with plastic before adding bitumen. Trials show roads made this way have better binding properties and strength compared to conventional roads. The project creates jobs for waste collectors and helps save costs on bitumen. It provides a practical solution to plastic waste management issues faced in India and other Asian countries.
