The Characters Of The Beloved Characters
Everyone tries to be like the actors or characters they see on television or in movie theatres. Often
times people can t really see themselves as one character because they see too many negative aspects,
and instead choose a character that they want to be more like because the traits of that character are
more appealing. People often try to associate themselves with different aspects of a character. Some
people may say something like This character is so generous, I m like this character because I am
extremely generous . Everyone wants to be associated with a character or more than one character,
usually for better reasons rather than negative, but all in all, we try to find characters that help give us
the appearance we look for as a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I have few friends, but the friends I have are true friends, they are always there for me and I am
always there for them. I love them with all my heart and there isn t anything we wouldn t do for each
other. I always have a very difficult time making new friends. Not because people don t like me, but
because starting conversations with people is hard for me. My friends found me when I was
emotionally alone and they took me in. My life has been forever changed because of these few
individuals. I care for them more than I care for myself. They are closer to me than some of my own
family. Being socially awkward and shy is not a fun thing to be. I can never seem to be the kind of
person that everyone wants to hang out with. At first, it did feel awful, but I ve come to learn that I
don t have to get along with everyone, not everyone needs to be my friend. I have found my own
friends and they are all I need. Being shy is just something that has always been with me. Going back
to my first day in grade school, I was always shy to talk to people I ve never seen before and if I did it
was always an awkward moment. I naturally just became sort of an outcast and hung out with very
few people. I ve come to embrace who I am and the friends who I have are all the friends I would
really care about or would want to have. Mac has a different personality from most characters in a

The Ieee 802 Standard
Introduction
Under the IEEE 802 standard, each one system interface gadget (counting system cards in machines,
versatile Wi Fi empowered gadgets, and in addition individual ports in scaffolds or switches) ought to
have an all around extraordinary 48 bit MAC address. Pieces of locations ought to be bought by an
association to be allotted to the gadgets that association produces. On the other hand, in a few cases a
gadget might not have an internationally extraordinary MAC address. A few purposes behind this
include:
 Counterfeiters don t pay for MAC addresses.
 Low expense system card makers may be allocating their cards arbitrarily created MAC addresses.
 Users or framework chairmen might briefly dole out their gadgets subjective MAC addresses
through programming.
Consequently, two or more gadgets may have the same MAC address. This turns into an issue if the
gadgets with the same MAC location are on the same telecast space (e.g. layer 2 system). On the off
chance that the gadgets are not on the same show space, then no issues emerge, since MAC locations
are not sent through switches in layer 3 of the OSI model.
This task assesses the obliged number of aggregate MAC addresses seen (i.e. example size) important
to discover MAC location clashes or deceitful MAC addresses for three unique circumstances:
 A system interface gadget supplier takes an unallocated square of MAC locations from the IEEE.
 Devices on provincially directed telecast spaces produce their

King Of Kong Documentaries
Documentaries are films concerning factual or actual topics. These films have a variety of aims. To
record important events and ideas. to inform viewers, to convey opinions and to create public interest.
The documentary that this essay will be based around is called The king of Kong: a fistful of quarters
created and directed by Seth Gordon on the 28th of February 2008. Released by the New Line Cinema
that scored a box office of 790,128 USD. Throughout this essay I will discuss the rivalry, the
differences and comparisons between two different characters. This documentary is created and
established around two characters Billy Mitchell and Steve Wiebe. These characters are very
committed to their gaming as quoted by one of the characters saying ... Show more content on

Billy Mitchell is a world record holder of the game Donkey Kong which he got in 1999. He had this
record for several years, until Steve Wiebe. Billy Mitchell was furious when his score got beat as no
one could until, this guy (Steve Wiebe) that no one knew beat it. The directors showed continuous
amounts of how bad Billy is in the film. For example, one of the conventions used to show this was
music. Music showed that Billy was bad, by when the camera man was following Billy the music that
was played in the background was very dark and unhappy music. This music was chosen purposely to
portray that Billy is the bad guy. Another convention used was framing, the directors videoed Billy
while he was in the bathroom brushing his hair this displayed that he was devious and cared about his
appearance a lot. Once Steve had beat Billy, most of his family members were interviewed. Many
quotes were said such as Billy has a lot of things up his sleeve, behind closed doors he s got something
planned. These quotes tell us that his family members have a lot of faith in him as they believe he
could beat Steve, as he did. Although, he cheated his way into winning which also showed the coward
side of Billy Mitchell. Steve got back onto his feet and beat Billy the right way. Graphics were also
shown as Steve was beating Billy s high Score that he set. So fourth, throughout this documentary
Billy has been portrayed to us multiple times as the bad guy, coward and a cheater that cheated his

sociology in religion
A Critical Analysis of Putnam, Robert D., and David E. Campbell. American Grace: How Religion
Divides and Unites Us. New York: Simon Schuster, 2010. Print, pp 1 246
In a renowned examination to approach religion as a sociological study, respected scholars Robert D.
Putnam and David E. Campbell trek through the social history of our nation over the past few decades
and the affects that have consequently or thankfully been left on religious institutions. While the
authors explore detailed cultural developments, America s religiosity and diversity is examined
through comprehensive surveys and empirical analysis. As Putnam and Campbell search to uncover
the relationship between sociological developments and religious institutions, a ... Show more content

As society began to expand under this foundation, women became increasingly more respected and
their presence was accepted into various social realms that previously were not inviting for women.
On the list of newly acceptable places for women to thrive is the workplace, which is another affect of
the rise of women in religion according to our authors. Putnam and Campbell claim that these are
interrelated because it was a social change that happened simultaneously, but the authors continue by
giving little example to what sort of revolutionary changes happened to women inside of the churches.
This brings the validity of their conclusion regarding cultural development and religion to question:
did the authors uncover correlation, or are they over generalizing causation for the sake of the
argument? Other experts have questioned the correlation as well, as Wallstreet journalist Wilfred
McClay goes it say: In matters of sexuality, they offer a surprisingly crude formulation that reflects the
authors rather coercive brand of moderation: The polarization of the past five decades on sexual
matters has come about because libertines and prudes have successively provoked one another. If only

The Importance Of A Utopian Society
Webster s Dictionary defines a Utopian society as a place of ideal perfection especially in laws,
government, and social conditions . The ultimate goal of a community is create a Utopian society. A
society in which everyone is equal in success. Similar to a classroom setting, a community consists of
individuals who yearn to make a difference or have a desire for success. In a community, individuals
want power, whether in monetary or in social ways. Each member of a community has a responsibility
to create a more perfect society through contributions to benefit not only the community as a whole,
but himself.
An individual is responsible for donating a portion of their wealth once they have become successful.
Each member of a community should reciprocate their success because without the members of their
community, the chances of them finding success would be negligible. It is true, the man who dies thus
rich, dies disgraced (Carnegie 363). To keep ones money when their is no use is labeled as selfish. The
wealthy man did not achieve his status alone. He acquired help from his community and should give
back to it. Sensibility is found in the idea that people should be able to keep the money they worked
hard to earn. Every person wants to be rewarded and those who find success believe they deserve
every penny. However, one can not pin his own greatness on himself. It is the support from family,
friends, and sometimes strangers which influences the triumph one might find. As

The New Class Of Anti Diabetic Drugs
Abstract
Glitazones are the new class of anti diabetic drugs that are the first to be able to manage glycaemia
goals. Troglitazone was first approved for the market in 1997, but it was withdrawn from the market
by 2000. After the withdrawal of troglitazone, rosiglitazone and pioglitazone were introduced in 1999
as potentially safer alternatives. However, currently rosiglitazone is under black box warning for
increased risk of cardiovascular disease and pioglitazone is in a nutshell as the drug required more
investigation. In this review, the potential ability to predict the adverse drug reactions (ADRs) are
examined. If it is possible to predict ADRs, should it be done in the future.
Introduction
Millions of people worldwide are affected due to diabetes, 90% of them having type 2 diabetes
mellitus (non insulin dependent). Since 1921, drug therapy has been improved minutely and in 1950s
the antidiabetic sulphonamides and biguanides has been introduced. Therefore, the arrival of glitazone
or thiazolidinediones is an important event (14).
Thiazolidinediones are being developed for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus and insulin
resistance. Thiazolidinediones binds and activate the peroxisome proliferator activated receptor Îł
(PPAR), a nuclear receptor that regulates the several genes which are involved in metabolism. The
PPAR Îł controls lipid storage, insulin sensitization and adipocyte differentiation. Besides the
metabolic activities, thiazolidinediones also have

The Death Penalty Should Be Used For Every State
The death penalty is an extremely controversial topic. The death penalty should be in use for every
state. Ever since America became a nation, Americans have argued about it. There are many people
who agree and disagree over the use of it. The government is deemed to punish criminals, but the
main question is to what extent. Capital punishment, such as the death penalty, should be used as a
deterrent for crime. The death penalty is mostly institutionalized in the Southern and Midwestern
states; Texas has instituted it the most. While there are many ways for one to find oneself on death
row, homicide is the most common of these. Treason and kidnapping are also prevalent examples of
crimes that could land one on death row. The punishment for a criminal depends upon the complexity,
and seriousness of the crime. If one were to commit a crime of that extremity, one should have a
penalty that is equivalent to ones crime. In ancient history, criminals were brought to an arena to be
killed in public games. Also, being nailed to a cross, beheading and hanging were other penalties for
the serious crimes committed. These are all different ways of carrying out the death penalty, but they
are out dated . One never sees the death penalty used the way they were in ancient times anymore.
Executions were once public events of high drama. In the colonial times executions were considered
to be celebrations for the community by uniting the good people against the face of evil. Hangings

The Decline Of The 19th Century
Prior to the 15th century Europe had not much, if any, knowledge of the new world. Content with
many small kingdoms and farms, there was no reason to explore. The economy was limited and life
was simple. However, by the latter part of the century, conditions changed and Europe s views did as
well. At this time the population experienced tremendous growth. This was definitely a motive for
expansion since the economy which was once very weak was now beginning to boom. Europe was
truly breaking into a modern age.
This movement is referred to as the Renaissance or rebirth . European government, commerce, and
technology were on the rise. Governments became more powerful monarchs created nation states.

Spain, Portugal, and France desired to build Catholic empires in the new world. Columbus thought
himself to be chosen by God to embark on his journey. The Dutch and English desired to convert the
natives of the new world to Protestantism. Many went simply to be free to practice their faith
according to their own conscience and in their own form. In 1606 James I of England gave charters to
the London Company and Plymouth Company to try to establish colonies in the new land. England s
attempts until now were unsuccessful. The London Company landed in what they named Jamestown
in 1607. The colonists needed to not only make a profit for the company, but they needed to survive.
This proved to be nearly impossible. Jamestown was not well suited for cultivation. The humid
summer led to outbreaks of malaria and it was situated in the midst of Native American territories. By
1608 Captain John Smith took over the leadership of the colony and saved it from the same fate the
previous colonists had suffered. The London Company, now Virginia Company, received another
charter in 1609 from the King. It gave the colonists more land and less power. The idea was to sell
stock to people who would remain in England but share future company profits, give stock to planters
that would journey to the colony on their own, and transport people for free in return for serving the
company for seven years. Things did not turn out as planned.

Renaissance Humanism In The Italian Renaissance
The Italian Renaissance describes the collation of a distinct change in Italian social, political, cultural,
and religious life.
Thesis: Although Italy, the birthplace of Renaissance humanism did not undergo the Protestant
Reformation, through its emphases on the ability of mankind and the necessity to translate, read, and
decipher original texts, Renaissance humanism played a major role in paving the way for the
Protestant Reformation in other European countries.
II. Historical Background
After the fall of the Western Roman Empire in 476 CE and the rise of Charlemagne s Holy Roman
Empire in 800, the Catholic Church dominated the sociopolitical scene in Europe for nearly a
millennium. Often referred to as the Middle Ages, Medieval Ages, or even the Dark Ages, many
authors, such as Jacob Burckhardt, argue that complete cultural stagnation characterizes this time of
European history. Despite this viewpoint however, culture existed during the Middle Ages through
ecclesiastical culture. The synonymousness of morality with Christian morality, of time with religious
holidays, and of literacy with the reading of religious texts demonstrates this culture dominated by the
Church. However, this unprecedented ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

prowess. For humanists, rhetoric, or the art of speaking in a persuasive way, is necessary to progress
culture, which is based on dialogue, and to maintain political effectiveness, which requires the ability

choice, humanists detached ethics from theology, turning it into a discipline more pragmatic for life in
the present. Thus, a text possesses as much value as its ability to produce a genuine moral or ethical

The Crash Of The Plane Crash
Day 1: I awoke covered in sand with the sun beating down on my face. Looking into the vast ocean
upon me I knew I had survived the plane crash, but how could I have ended up on this mysterious
island? I sat there for a moment trying to piece together what had occurred. It was June 17, 1979 and I
was on a plane heading to Bosnia for a mission trip when the plane encountered engine problems.
There were several loud booms coming from the cockpit when suddenly a huge explosion rips through
the fuselage tearing the aircraft into several pieces. At this point I was sure death was upon me.
Somehow, I managed to survive the plummet into the ocean and swim to a piece of debris floating in
the water. This was the last thing I remember until waking up on the shore. God sure must have been
looking out for me to have survived that crash!
After the shock had set in that I was still alive, it was time to decide what to do to survive on this
island. Not knowing how long I will be here, there are three very important things to locate: food,
water, and shelter. I walked along the shore looking for anything to wash up from the crash. I
stumbled upon a few suitcases filled with clothes and several other items I could use to my disposal.
While searching the shore I found absolutely no sign of life and realized that I was the only survivor
that had made it to land. I then began walking inland to find water and a place to rest for the night. I
could hear the sound of water flowing in the

almost all Arab countries have contributed to the problem, as well.
The region as the heart of the conflict is the area formally known as Palestine. It now is Israel, Gaza,

Jewish Israelis claim ownership of the land because they need a place that is safe from all the hostility

Palestinians (Arabs) say it belongs to them because their ancestors have lived there for hundreds of

Diversity Is Considered A Defining Strength For The Workforce
Diversity is considered a defining strength for the workforce and an essential element in
accomplishing the various missions that reflects the nations or community that we serve. Ensuring a
diverse and inclusive workforce enables the department or agency to be more responsive to the public
it serves and offers every individual an equal chance to attain his or her professional goals. A diverse
workforce contributes fresh ideas and offers unique perspective which is vital in achieving the desired
success. Diversity is not limited to race, gender, or ethnicity. A diverse group includes people of
different religions, sexual orientation, ages, work experience, cultures, physical abilities, military
experience, and educational background (Security, 2015). Although those differences are a source of
benefits, they can also be very hard in the work settings and there are two reasons behind that. First,
the difficulty to deal with all the different kinds of people without having a misunderstanding that
arise between the supervisor and the employees. Second, problems that arise must be mediated or
arbitrated by the supervisor. It can be hard for supervisors to recognize the needs of individuals from
other backgrounds and to know how to persuade those individuals to do well. Even if that does not
happen, they may simply misunderstand one another and those misunderstandings may lead to
conflict. In these ways, a diverse workplace can lead to difficulties for supervisors.

How Humans Affect The Alpine Biome

Location and Climate
The climate is fairly dry in the alpine biome. The average precipitation in the alpine biome each year
is 12 inches (30cm) each year. In summer the temperature is 40 to 60f (4.5 to 15.5c). While in winter
the temperatures are below freezing.

They make conservation acts and zoos. But humans also poach in the alpine biome which has made

The History Of Motown Music
Rising into the mainstream in the early 1960 s, Motown music gained popularity as it produced a
wave of African American musicians who successfully integrated their music, creating a newly unified
musical culture between White and Black Americans. Simultaneously Motown provided musical
backing for an extensive battle of cultural change in the USA; the American Civil Rights Movement.
Berry Gordy, the founder of Motown Records produced music with the aim to sell to anyone despite
their age or colour. The revolutionary processes and features of the Motown Machine produced

was traditional in regards to the Motown sound, with catchy lyric phrases. Hitch hike, now hitch a

A Research On Safe Environment Essay
Safe Environment A safe environment allows for a student s basic needs to be met, which can be a
great preventative measure to inappropriate student behavior. This safe environment should be
psychologically safe in that students can feel free to share and explore ideas and knowledge.
Additionally, the environment should be physically safe, in the setup of the classroom and behavior of
the students. Without a safe environment, students aren t free to value learning and come to be a
lifelong learner.
Positive Relationships
Contributing factors to a safe environment are positive relationships, including student teacher, student
student, and parent teacher. In developing each of these relations, I will be present and pleasant.
To develop positive student teacher relationships I will begin the school year by getting to know each
student. I will do this through having the students answer questions about themselves on a notecard or
on a self portrait. These questions might include their favorite color, favorite animal, favorite subject,
and an interesting fact. I would also share my answers with the students so they can get to know me.
Another strategy I will use is greeting my students at the door as they enter and leave, to develop the
relationship in the classroom and show that I continue to care as they leave. Another crucial part of
this relationship is to show your belief in them. I will exemplify this by calling on all students equally
by using the notecards developed at

Essay On The Ottoman Empire
In the late 12th century, near the city of Constantinople, an empire originated. This empire was
founded by Turkish natives who wanted to build an empire after their leader, Osman. This empire had
a sultan, who was in the highest position, but was run by a small ruling class. This imperial system
was run by a power of Muslim control over non Muslim populations. They allowed their people to
live under the laws of their own religions. Non Muslims and Christians however, were given limited
freedom, but were still treated as second class citizens.
Furthermore, the Ottoman s held a strong political pyramid. The sultan was the highest and at the top,
followed by a group of wealthy leaders, and then the commoners, who were known as the Rayyah.
Industrialization was a main focus of this empire. Their goal was to develop cities into commercial
and industrial centers. Fortunately for them, they were able to make trade routes within their empire.
In the social life of the Ottomans, the women were put under harsh restrictions from the Islamic Law.
Their life outside of the home was limited, but by no means non existent. The Ottoman empire was
known for their strong military structure. It was organized by Osman in the late 13th century. High

Ww1 Personal Response
During the Second World War everyone in the United Kingdom had to step up to help the war effort
and defeat Germany. This included the Girl Guides who found themselves having support the home
front in many different ways. The Girl Guides used the many different skills they had obtained at their
meetings and camps to help the country to survive the war. Some of the ways the Girl Guides helped
was by providing the public with services such as health care, and child care as well as food for the
people of London who were suffering from the after effects of the blitz. This project is important
because Girl Guiding now has half a million members worldwide, including me. To us this is part of

This article was written by Janie Hampton as well and was published a year after the release of her
book (2011). The article provides the key points from her book. In this article she discusses what they
did in the blitz and blackouts. This provides the reader with an overview that is well supported as the
knowledge would have come from writing her book which is well supported by evidence and first
hand accounts. Later that year an article was uploaded to blog called https://owl and
toadstool.blogspot.co.uk/. I can infer from earlier posts that it was written by a guide/brownie leader.
They wrote about what guides did talking about Hampton s book. The blogger spoke briefly about the
most obvious things such as first aid but they then moved onto the more interesting roles some of the
Girl Guides had, such as spying for MI5. The blog overall presents a summary of what Girl Guides

Running head: CHALLENGES OF TEACHING STUDENTS WITH EBD
Challenges of Teaching Students with EBD

Education is an important factor of life that is a foundation of intellectual development and
intelligence that shapes the futures of all students. There are students with disorders and disabilities
who display hardships and delays in education that require different approaches and special teaching
strategies. Students with emotional and behavioral disorders are a group of students that require such
modification or accommodation approaches. EBD student s exhibit challenging behaviors, emotional
instability, and are opposed to change. Therefore, once a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Parents acquire the most information about the heart of their child s disorder. Next, parents should be
included in any early intervention to assist in the students classroom placement decisions otherwise it
has been determined that it could be destructive for the EBD student. It has been noted that family and
parent problems tend to be the main cause of emotional and behavioral disorders. Therefore, SPED
teams can help to get to the main problem thus special educators and the administration can unravel
home problems. The school administrator is a vital member to the SPED team because they have
useful information and knowledge about the school policy formation. Students with EBD often feel
discriminated against because of the ambiguous and zero tolerance rules regarding behavior from the
school. The zero tolerance rules for behavior in school can threaten the behavioral and emotional
stability of students with EBD. The administration can educate the educators on the IDEA rules and
regulations and handle relevant assessments and design and develop special education programming.
There are some concerns that make it difficult for school administrators and special education
educators and can be very complicated because they want to make sure they meet the needs of
students with EBD. One of the concerns is the uncertainty and stigmas towards the definition of
educational and behavioral disorders and the need of

The Last Game vs. Reunion Contrast Essay
The Last Game And Reunion Stories of Contrast What is a father? A father is someone who is more
than just a person who created you. A father is a person who should be a mentor to you and helps
guide you through life. What isn t a father is one who simply puts their children aside to live their own
lives and have no part in their children s life and growth. The stories I will be contrasting are The Last
Game, by Jan Weiner and Reunion, by John Cheever. My first reason of contrast is that in Last Game,
the relationship between characters Jan Weiner and his father is that of mutual admiration in which the
son had great respect for his, his pride and braveness of choice which is contrasted in Reunion, as the
son Charlie ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I think this reason is important because it shows how a father should and should not present a view of
himself to his child. What this reason means to me is that the picture you paint of yourself makes a
drastic impact on what your child thinks of you. It might have a huge effect on what decisions the
child will make in the future whether positive or negative. Mostly this reason might be what helps the
child build a good morale and self esteem. To further prove my reason I these quotes, from Last
Game, Jan Weiner says, I would have liked to have begged my father no to leave me. But something
in my father s face made me not plead. I knew he was right (p.4) and from Reunion, when character
Charlie says, I felt he was my father, my flesh, my future, and my doom. (p.232) When a person is
aggressive and abusive they might be the one person who s holding their loved ones back while there
are also people that go out of their way to be the type of presence their loved ones need in their lives
to become better people. The second contrasting reason is in Last Game, the son s father is dealing
with political problems in that he s a Jew constantly being chased by Nazi s and had make an

Good health means the yin and yang is in balance and in harmony with each other. According to Jarvis
(2012), foods are classified in this theory; yin foods are cold, and yang foods are hot; cold foods are
eaten with a hot illness and hot foods are eaten with a cold illness. Chinese people have practiced
acupuncture for thousands of years for the reduction of pain and for various disorders using fine
needles at specific meridian points on the body (Edelman Mandle, 2010). The Chinese believe that
when there is an imbalance in a person s system is when a person has illness. For health maintenance,
they use preventive measures such eating healthy. Chinese people enjoy drinking a variety of tea after

Chesapeake Colonies vs. New England Colonies
During the late 16th century and into the 17th century, two colonies emerged from England in the New
World. The two colonies were called the Chesapeake and New England colonies. Even though the two
areas were formed and governed by the English, the colonies had similarities as well as differences.
Differences in geography, religion, politics, economic, and nationalities, were responsible for molding
the colonies. These differences came from one major factor: the very reason the English settlers came
to the New World. The Chesapeake colonies were primarily created by companies interested in
profiting from the natural resources of the New World such as gold or silver to bring back to England.

New England government associate more with religious matter than the Chesapeake government. The
type of government was a theocratic environment. Each town, which was filled with educated people,

Descriptive Essay About Being Alone
We are dark as the moonless night, yet just as bright; intense and mysterious as the forces that shaped
us. Living in the shadows we fade from sight and mind, but we are always there, forever defending
what is ours. Porous and jagged, we absorb or repel anything as well as anyone who seeks to oppose
us. Whilst the ranks of our enemies dwindle over time we endure, unwavering in our determination.
Alone we are weak, ineffective, and ultimately meaningless. Together we are strong, steadfast and
spectacular in our simplicity. We as one eternally serve the greater purpose, all with the pride and
patience only our kind possess.
At first, we were one, mighty and strong, we were great, but without meaning in our existence,
without scope or direction. Then, there was heat; blinding, raging heat stronger than even the forces
that shaped us, it tore us apart. Shattered our very view of the world and separated us from one
another. As suddenly as the groundbreaking warmth appeared it was gone, leaving me all alone in the
bitter cold to fend for myself. For the first time I was on my own, my reality broken in an instant into
a million tiny pieces; it was overwhelming and strange, yet stunning along with euphoric.
In the beginning the silence was empty and lacking. After a lifetime of togetherness, the lonely feeling
of isolation cut deep within me. To have a mind of my own was both invigorating and petrifying,
thoughts echoing far enough in the vastness to be lost on their own

In young people, bone is created faster than it is broken down, so bone mass increases and bones
strengthen. In older people, however, this balance is reversed. Bone strength generally peaks at about
the age of 30. As bones weaken with age, people develop osteopenia, a reduction in bone mass. If the
process continues, people develop osteoporosis. Osteopenia and osteoporosis can occur at any age, but
it is most common among people older than 50. Women are four times more likely than men to
develop osteoporosis. As a woman s levels of the hormone estrogen declines (such as during
menopause), her risk of bone loss significantly increases.
With no obvious symptoms, osteopenia and osteoporosis often go undetected until a diagnosis from a
healthcare professional. Untreated, a person can continue living with osteoporosis for many years. The
risk of a fracture during this time, however, increases significantly. Fractures are a significant issue for
older people. One study of postmenopausal women with osteoporosis reported that 10.9 percent had a
vertebral fracture and 2.5 percent had a hip fracture during a three year period.3
The main way to diagnose osteoporosis was with a bone mineral density (BMD) test. The primary
BMD test was dual energy X ray absorptiometry (DXA). During a measurement process that generally
took between ten and twenty minutes, a DXA scanner produced two X ray beams with different

The Involvement Of Child Protective Services
In this research proposal the independent variable is the involvement of Child Protective Services.
Child Protective Service s involvement is measured based on a questionnaire, which ask the
participant have they ever had any previous Child Protective Service involvement, and if so when?
The research will include both participants who have answered yes and no to this question.
Furthermore, if the participant has answered yes, they will only be included if the Child Protective
Service involvement was in the last five years. The dependent variable in the research is the risk
factors of child maltreatment, as measured by the Adult Adolescent Parenting Inventory. The three risk
factors that will be examined as part of this research are parental empathy towards children s needs,
the use of corporal punishment, and expectations of children. The source of the data was originally
collected through an intake process. The information regarding our independent variable is collected
in interview form. The intake worker asked the participant several questions including their previous
CPS involvement. Information regarding out dependent variable was originally collected in a self
administered survey. The form is then input into a computer program and results are created. The
independent variable is not manipulated in any way. Procedure The secondary data that we will be

Isolating and identifying major motivating factors in the complex global landscape of the Cold War is,
without a doubt, difficult, but in the case of the Minuteman Missiles and the Amit Ballistic Missile
System, three factors can be identified. The major shift in Vietnam policy, a growth in counter culture
and willingness to protest, and the decreased influence of the Catholic Church in North Dakota over
the six year period between the installation of Minuteman Missiles and the installation of the Anti
Ballistic Missile all contributed to an increase in protest in 1970. The birth of civil defense in the
United States was slow, painful, and it almost ended before it began. The Office of Civil Defence was
created on May 20, 1941, with the primary purpose of evaluating civil defense programs in other
countries. As a result of this evaluation, civil defense was deemed unnecessary, and the office was
slated to close just two years after its creation. The office clung to life for two additional years until it
was closed in 1945, and, with it, the idea of civil defense in the United States appeared to die. It was
not until 1950 that President Truman would breath new life into civil defense for the United States.
Truman created the Federal Civil Defence Administration with the purpose of minimising the effects
of a nuclear attack, dealing with the immediate effect of said attack, and aiding in the national

Honesty In The End
Everything will be okay in the end. If it s not okay, it s not the End. John Lennon The Quote above
says that everything will be fine at the right time or when someone has been fulfil his goals in life.
Like stories in the books or movies it only end when the character resolve all the problems his been
facing all the time. But when the story add another problem it means that the story is not yet been
done and should be continue until it find its way to be done. It also means like whatever happens in
your life, don t give up until you can reach your goal. Don t stop even you fail after all it s not yet the
end. As we grow older there are lot of things happens in our life, there are lot of problem that
challenge us to see how far can we go, how long can we endure it. In this quote tells us that no matter
what happens we should stand still and continue what we started to do. Sometimes we fail but it s not
mean that we should give up it means that it s not yet the end we should stand up and continue what
should we do until we solve every challenges that comes to our life. Honesty is a very expensive gift.

necessarily incurred to bring it to the condition and location necessary for its intended use, in
principle, the cost incurred in financing expenditures for an asset during a required construction or
development period is itself a part of the asset s historical acquisition cost. The cause and effect
relationship between acquiring an asset and the incurrence of interest cost makes interest cost
analogous to a direct cost that is readily and objectively assignable to the acquired asset. Failure to

reported earnings during the period of acquisition and increases reported earnings in later periods.

The Importance Of Morality In New Zealand
New Zealand is a geographically isolated country in the Pacific Ocean. It has a population of an
estimated 4.2 million according to the latest five yearly census conducted in 2013 (2013 Census). Of
the census surveyed population in 2013, 47.65% classified themselves as Christian, with 41.92%
having no religion and 1.18% following Islam (New Zealand Population (2017)). Islam is the religious
faith of Muslims, based on their sacred text, the Quran, which their god Allah revealed to the Prophet
Muhammad in the early 600s. Muslims recognize the Quran as the fundament of Islamic law known
as Sharia, politics, culture, and religion. Sharia dictates that all food consumed by Muslims be halal, a
term meaning that it is permissible for consumption. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Other Sharia conditions include killing the animal with a single knife cut below the Adam s Apple, so
that both the respiratory and jugular veins are cut, forcing the animal to bleed out and thus die. In New
Zealand, as shown in the Commercial Slaughter Code of Welfare, it is mandatory to stun all animals
so they are unconscious prior to slaughter and the animal must remain unconscious until the animal is
deemed dead. Asia Pacific Halal Services New Zealand agrees that stunning of animals is permissible
as long as the heart is not stopped. The meat inspector stamps all carcasses once they meet the halal
requirements, regardless whether for export or for the domestic market. Currently, there are no
regulations for labeling halal meat for the New Zealand domestic market. The lack of halal labeling
contributes to a perceived erosion of religious freedom. Halal is an important issue for Muslims as
they are forbidden to eat non halal or haram, meaning not permissible, food. The Quran has several
verses relating to halal but the most relevant one is:
So eat of that [meat] upon which the name of Allah has been mentioned, if you are believers in His
verses. And do not eat of that upon which the name of Allah has not been mentioned, for indeed, it is
grave disobedience. (Ali, Y English Quran 6:118, 121).
By not obeying the dietary laws contained in Sharia, a Muslim will not have any of his good deeds
recognized by Allah and will be denied admittance into Paradise.

When he tries to express his sexuality towards her, she brushes him off, which further enforces the
idea that the free blacks are over sexualized. The biggest sense of loyalty from Mammy we see is
when she tries to protect her master from union soldiers arresting him for being in the Ku Klux Klan.
Gus, the Union Solider, seems to be best associated with brute and coon tendencies, which is
characterized by his sexuality towards Flora. The union soldiers in general represent the brutal buck
character type because they are seen as violent, uncontrollable and sexualized in the film. Gus, also
has coon tendencies, however, in the way his character expresses himself. His eyes are very big and

are the epitome of beauty, and how frail and delicate they seem. Silas Lynch is also depicted as overly

The, The Melting Pot, And The World
Culture is described as the set of beliefs, customs, ways of thinking and behaving that exists in a
particular society. Meanwhile, the act of having a sense of reality can be described as knowing the
world or the state of things as they exist. Reality has a flimsy definition because one s own reality
could be different compared to another. However, a person s culture will affect how they think and
thus manipulate their perception of reality. Common examples of this are: route of upbringing,
political views, holistic medicinal approaches and most importantly, religion. The United States of
America has many different cultures present throughout the entire nation. That is why it is commonly
referred to as the melting pot of the world. This being said, people raised in different parts of the
United States will be apart of different cultures and thus different senses of reality. Someone raised in
the South will have a different culture than someone raised in the North. While this doesn t completely
alter their sense of reality, it does affect it. Even two neighbors will have different senses of reality

John Wright and immediately rush to the stove for warmth. It is cold outside and inside the house
which immediately reflects the barren and rigid nature of the home and life of Mrs. Wright. Glaspell
uses the female characters in this play to demonstrate the harsh life of women in society during this
time period that was forgotten about and not taken seriously (Al Khalili, 132). The coldness of Mrs.
Wright s life was reflected in many ways throughout the play. First, through John Wright who was
described by Mrs. Hale as a hard man / Like a raw wind that gets to the bone. (Glaspel, line 113). John

v A Salomon Co Ltd From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (Redirected from Broderip v Salomon)
Salomon v A Salomon Co Ltd [1897] AC 22 is a landmark1 UK company law case. The effect of the
Lords unanimous 2 ruling was to uphold 3firmly the doctrine4 of corporate personality, as set out in
the Companies Act 1862, so that creditors of an insolvent company could not sue the company s
shareholders to pay up outstanding debts. Facts[edit] MrAron Salomon made leather boots and shoes
in a large Whitechapel High Street establishment. His sons wanted to become business partners, so he
turned the business into a limited company. His wife ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The company in this case has been regarded by Vaughan Williams J. as the agent of Aron Salomon. I
should rather liken the company to a trustee for him a trustee improperly 20 brought into existence by
him to enable him to do what the statute prohibits. It is manifest 21 that the other members of the
company have practically no interest in it, and their names have merely been used by Mr.Aron
Salomon to enable him to form a company, and to use its name in order to screen himself from
liability. This view of the case is quite consistent with In re George Newman Co.[4] In a strict legal
sense the business may have to be regarded as the business of the company; but if any jury were
asked, Whose business was it? they would say Aron Salomon s, and they would be right, if they meant
that the beneficial interest in the business was his. I do not go so far as to say that the creditors of the
company could sue him. In my opinion, they can only reach him through the company. Moreover,
Mr.Aron Salomon s liability to indemnify the company in this case is, in my view, the legal
consequence of the formation of the company in order to attain a result not permitted by law. The
liability does not arise simply from the fact that he holds nearly all the shares in the company. A man
may do that and yet be under no such liability as Mr.Aron Salomon has come under. His liability rests
on the purpose for which he formed the company, on the way he formed it, and on

Was Germany s War On France And Russia To Aid...
After the assassination of Archduke Francis Ferdinand, Germany pledged their full support to Austria
Hungary in a potential war. When Serbia failed to agree to Austria Hungary s ultimatum, Austria
decided to declare war on Serbia. Russia, an ally of Serbia, mobilized their troops in response to
Austria declaring war, and received support from their other ally France. Consequently, Germany
declared war on France and Russia to aid Austria Hungary. To avoid a two front war with France in
the west and Russia in the east, Germany formulated the Schlieffen Plan. Created by General Alfred
von Schlieffen, the Schlieffen Plan involved invading Belgium and quickly defeating France.
Germany knew that it would take Russia six weeks to mobilize their troops,

  • 2. The Characters Of The Beloved Characters Everyone tries to be like the actors or characters they see on television or in movie theatres. Often times people can t really see themselves as one character because they see too many negative aspects, and instead choose a character that they want to be more like because the traits of that character are more appealing. People often try to associate themselves with different aspects of a character. Some people may say something like This character is so generous, I m like this character because I am extremely generous . I love them with all my heart and there isn t anything we wouldn t do for each other. I always have a very difficult time making new friends. Not because people don t like me, but because starting conversations with people is hard for me. My friends found me when I was emotionally alone and they took me in. My life has been forever changed because of these few individuals. I care for them more than I care for myself. They are closer to me than some of my own family. Being socially awkward and shy is not a fun thing to be. I can never seem to be the kind of person that everyone wants to hang out with. At first, it did feel awful, but I ve come to learn that I don t have to get along with everyone, not everyone needs to be my friend. I have found my own friends and they are all I need. Being shy is just something that has always been with me. Going back to my first day in grade school, I was always shy to talk to people I ve never seen before and if I did it was always an awkward moment. I naturally just became sort of an outcast and hung out with very few people. I ve come to embrace who I am and the friends who I have are all the friends I would really care about or would want to have. Mac has a different personality from most characters in a ... A few purposes behind this include:  Counterfeiters don t pay for MAC addresses.  Low expense system card makers may be allocating their cards arbitrarily created MAC addresses.  Users or framework chairmen might briefly dole out their gadgets subjective MAC addresses through programming. Consequently, two or more gadgets may have the same MAC address. This turns into an issue if the gadgets with the same MAC location are on the same telecast space (e.g. layer 2 system). On the off chance that the gadgets are not on the same show space, then no issues emerge, since MAC locations are not sent through switches in layer 3 of the OSI model. This task assesses the obliged number of aggregate MAC addresses seen (i.e. example size) important to discover MAC location clashes or deceitful MAC addresses for three unique circumstances:  A system interface gadget supplier takes an unallocated square of MAC locations from the IEEE.  Devices on provincially directed telecast spaces produce their ... Billy Mitchell was furious when his score got beat as no one could until, this guy (Steve Wiebe) that no one knew beat it. The directors showed continuous amounts of how bad Billy is in the film. For example, one of the conventions used to show this was music. Music showed that Billy was bad, by when the camera man was following Billy the music that was played in the background was very dark and unhappy music. This music was chosen purposely to portray that Billy is the bad guy. Another convention used was framing, the directors videoed Billy while he was in the bathroom brushing his hair this displayed that he was devious and cared about his appearance a lot. Once Steve had beat Billy, most of his family members were interviewed. Many quotes were said such as Billy has a lot of things up his sleeve, behind closed doors he s got something planned. These quotes tell us that his family members have a lot of faith in him as they believe he could beat Steve, as he did. Although, he cheated his way into winning which also showed the coward side of Billy Mitchell. Steve got back onto his feet and beat Billy the right way. Graphics were also shown as Steve was beating Billy s high Score that he set. Print, pp 1 246 In a renowned examination to approach religion as a sociological study, respected scholars Robert D. Putnam and David E. Campbell trek through the social history of our nation over the past few decades and the affects that have consequently or thankfully been left on religious institutions. While the authors explore detailed cultural developments, America s religiosity and diversity is examined through comprehensive surveys and empirical analysis. As society began to expand under this foundation, women became increasingly more respected and their presence was accepted into various social realms that previously were not inviting for women. On the list of newly acceptable places for women to thrive is the workplace, which is another affect of the rise of women in religion according to our authors. Putnam and Campbell claim that these are interrelated because it was a social change that happened simultaneously, but the authors continue by giving little example to what sort of revolutionary changes happened to women inside of the churches. This brings the validity of their conclusion regarding cultural development and religion to question: did the authors uncover correlation, or are they over generalizing causation for the sake of the argument? Other experts have questioned the correlation as well, as Wallstreet journalist Wilfred McClay goes it say: In matters of sexuality, they offer a surprisingly crude formulation that reflects the authors rather coercive brand of moderation: The polarization of the past five decades on sexual matters has come about because libertines and prudes have successively provoked one another. The ultimate goal of a community is create a Utopian society. A society in which everyone is equal in success. Similar to a classroom setting, a community consists of individuals who yearn to make a difference or have a desire for success. In a community, individuals want power, whether in monetary or in social ways. Each member of a community has a responsibility to create a more perfect society through contributions to benefit not only the community as a whole, but himself. An individual is responsible for donating a portion of their wealth once they have become successful. Each member of a community should reciprocate their success because without the members of their community, the chances of them finding success would be negligible. It is true, the man who dies thus rich, dies disgraced (Carnegie 363). To keep ones money when their is no use is labeled as selfish. The wealthy man did not achieve his status alone. He acquired help from his community and should give back to it. Sensibility is found in the idea that people should be able to keep the money they worked hard to earn. Every person wants to be rewarded and those who find success believe they deserve every penny. However, one can not pin his own greatness on himself. Troglitazone was first approved for the market in 1997, but it was withdrawn from the market by 2000. After the withdrawal of troglitazone, rosiglitazone and pioglitazone were introduced in 1999 as potentially safer alternatives. However, currently rosiglitazone is under black box warning for increased risk of cardiovascular disease and pioglitazone is in a nutshell as the drug required more investigation. In this review, the potential ability to predict the adverse drug reactions (ADRs) are examined. If it is possible to predict ADRs, should it be done in the future. Introduction Millions of people worldwide are affected due to diabetes, 90% of them having type 2 diabetes mellitus (non insulin dependent). Since 1921, drug therapy has been improved minutely and in 1950s the antidiabetic sulphonamides and biguanides has been introduced. Therefore, the arrival of glitazone or thiazolidinediones is an important event (14). Thiazolidinediones are being developed for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus and insulin resistance. Thiazolidinediones binds and activate the peroxisome proliferator activated receptor Îł (PPAR), a nuclear receptor that regulates the several genes which are involved in metabolism. Ever since America became a nation, Americans have argued about it. There are many people who agree and disagree over the use of it. The government is deemed to punish criminals, but the main question is to what extent. Capital punishment, such as the death penalty, should be used as a deterrent for crime. The death penalty is mostly institutionalized in the Southern and Midwestern states; Texas has instituted it the most. While there are many ways for one to find oneself on death row, homicide is the most common of these. Treason and kidnapping are also prevalent examples of crimes that could land one on death row. The punishment for a criminal depends upon the complexity, and seriousness of the crime. If one were to commit a crime of that extremity, one should have a penalty that is equivalent to ones crime. In ancient history, criminals were brought to an arena to be killed in public games. Also, being nailed to a cross, beheading and hanging were other penalties for the serious crimes committed. These are all different ways of carrying out the death penalty, but they are out dated . One never sees the death penalty used the way they were in ancient times anymore. Executions were once public events of high drama. In the colonial times executions were considered to be celebrations for the community by uniting the good people against the face of evil. Looking into the vast ocean upon me I knew I had survived the plane crash, but how could I have ended up on this mysterious island? I sat there for a moment trying to piece together what had occurred. It was June 17, 1979 and I was on a plane heading to Bosnia for a mission trip when the plane encountered engine problems. There were several loud booms coming from the cockpit when suddenly a huge explosion rips through the fuselage tearing the aircraft into several pieces. At this point I was sure death was upon me. Not knowing how long I will be here, there are three very important things to locate: food, water, and shelter. I walked along the shore looking for anything to wash up from the crash. Ensuring a diverse and inclusive workforce enables the department or agency to be more responsive to the public it serves and offers every individual an equal chance to attain his or her professional goals. A diverse workforce contributes fresh ideas and offers unique perspective which is vital in achieving the desired success. Diversity is not limited to race, gender, or ethnicity. A diverse group includes people of different religions, sexual orientation, ages, work experience, cultures, physical abilities, military experience, and educational background (Security, 2015). Although those differences are a source of benefits, they can also be very hard in the work settings and there are two reasons behind that. First, the difficulty to deal with all the different kinds of people without having a misunderstanding that arise between the supervisor and the employees. Second, problems that arise must be mediated or arbitrated by the supervisor. It can be hard for supervisors to recognize the needs of individuals from other backgrounds and to know how to persuade those individuals to do well. A father is a person who should be a mentor to you and helps guide you through life. What isn t a father is one who simply puts their children aside to live their own lives and have no part in their children s life and growth. The stories I will be contrasting are The Last Game, by Jan Weiner and Reunion, by John Cheever. My first reason of contrast is that in Last Game, the relationship between characters Jan Weiner and his father is that of mutual admiration in which the son had great respect for his, his pride and braveness of choice which is contrasted in Reunion, as the son Charlie ... What this reason means to me is that the picture you paint of yourself makes a drastic impact on what your child thinks of you. It might have a huge effect on what decisions the child will make in the future whether positive or negative. Mostly this reason might be what helps the child build a good morale and self esteem. To further prove my reason I these quotes, from Last Game, Jan Weiner says, I would have liked to have begged my father no to leave me. But something in my father s face made me not plead. I knew he was right (p.4) and from Reunion, when character Charlie says, I felt he was my father, my flesh, my future, and my doom. (p.232) When a person is aggressive and abusive they might be the one person who s holding their loved ones back while there are also people that go out of their way to be the type of presence their loved ones need in their lives to become better people. Living in the shadows we fade from sight and mind, but we are always there, forever defending what is ours. Porous and jagged, we absorb or repel anything as well as anyone who seeks to oppose us. Whilst the ranks of our enemies dwindle over time we endure, unwavering in our determination. Alone we are weak, ineffective, and ultimately meaningless. Together we are strong, steadfast and spectacular in our simplicity. We as one eternally serve the greater purpose, all with the pride and patience only our kind possess. At first, we were one, mighty and strong, we were great, but without meaning in our existence, without scope or direction. Then, there was heat; blinding, raging heat stronger than even the forces that shaped us, it tore us apart. Shattered our very view of the world and separated us from one another. As suddenly as the groundbreaking warmth appeared it was gone, leaving me all alone in the bitter cold to fend for myself. The cause and effect relationship between acquiring an asset and the incurrence of interest cost makes interest cost analogous to a direct cost that is readily and objectively assignable to the acquired asset.
