Increase Home Ownership
The increase in home ownership in the balance between the home owner and the private rental sector.
Home ownership began to fall in early 2000s, and the fall has increased since then, with the decline
more than 4% in the five years between 2007 2008 and 2012 2013 (Belfield et al, 2015). Due to the
number increase of home ownership in the country. The people who are struggling to purchase a house
are the young people. Over the last decade, there has been an increase in the proportion of younger
person household in the UK. The people at age under 30 are living in privately rented properties,
around 30% in 1997 to 49% in 2009. On the other hand, the percentage of young people buying their
own homes with a mortgage has decreased from 43% to 29% ... Show more content on

Evidence shows that many tenants also fall into at least one other group considered to be at higher risk
of experiencing financial exclusion. In which 25% are people over 65 years, 16% are at an age
between 16 24, 16% have a disability or long term illness, 6% are the Black and Ethnic minority, 59%
of women and 72% in receipt of housing benefit. There is a difference between the generation of today
and home ownership; those born later are somewhat less likely to be homeowners than their
predecessor at the same stage in their life. Evidence shows that, the growth of home ownership rate
with age for people born in different years. Those who are born in mid 1970 now aged in their late 30s
have lower rates of home ownership than the people who were born before them (Belfield et al, 2015).
Also for those who were fortunate to have bought their house under the Right to Buy scheme have a
higher rate of home ownership compared to those who did not get the opportunity to do so. For those
who are aged 25, have a homeowner rate of, 45% compared with 33% of those born in the 1970s
cohort and only 20% in born 1980s cohort. This evidence has been suggested that this change may
well out to be a permanent difference between generation rather than simply changes in the timing of
house purchase due to he factor such as changing in the timing and family formation (Belfield et al,

Correlation Between Velocity And Self Efficacy
It is my belief that by not accounting for experiential feedback or the internal velocity standard past
research has made incomplete conclusions about velocity. The aim of the present study is address
some of the problems identified by in the velocity literature (Johnson, Howe, Chang, 2012; Carver
Scheier, 2001) by disambiguating the role of experiential and external feedback. This study also seeks
to merge the two fields of self efficacy and velocity by connecting recent developments in both fields.
Through doing so, I will test the relationship between velocity and self efficacy as well as establish
how each source of feedback does or does not impact perceptions of velocity.
External feedback as a moderator between perceived ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Nine participants from this initial sample were excluded from analysis for not completing the study
and three others were removed for failing attention check items. The study used a 3 (experiential
feedback: slow, moderate, fast) x 3 (external feedback: fast, slow, none) between subjects design.
Materials
The task participants were asked to complete was an ambiguous captcha task developed for the current
study but inspired by similar ambiguous tasks used in past research. A sample of this task can be found
in Appendix A. A captcha is a common online task that is easy for people but difficult for computers,
the purpose of which is to distinguish between whether a user is human or not. The goal of this task to
correctly identify the letters or numbers displayed in a string of characters of varying fonts, sizes, and
arrangements. The captchas used for this task were taken from real online captchas but, to further add
to the ambiguity, they were slightly blurred in photo editing software. Each trial of the Ambiguous
Captcha Task lasts two minutes and contained 12 items. Participants were shown items one at a time
and were given ten seconds to provide an answer before the next item appeared automatically on the
screen. After each trial participants were given a short questionnaire that assessed perceived velocity

I Am Hard-Personal Narrative
I VE LEARNED Due to my comparatively insignificant age, I haven t learned many Oprah worthy
lessons in my life. Although I am young, I feel that a certain lesson in particular has been key to my
small but important successes. I ve learned that working hard will demand your respect no matter who
you are. I continue to apply this life long lesson on the wrestling mats with my coaches at every meet,
practice, and free time.
It was the Bend City Championships (wrestling). My palms were sweaty, my face tomato red, and my
heart was pounding, due to the 7 testosterone filled, middle school boys, in my bracket. Luckily, I had

left me to focus on my own.
Charli and Lazarus! our future ref shouted impatiently.
Do we have a Charli and Lasarus here? he said with a roll of his eyes.
I m here I said with as much confidence as I could mustar.
Here spit Lazarus looking back at his snake like buddy s.
You know the drill, shake hands I shook hands as respectful as I could knowing that anyone with
enough guts to set foot on any wrestling mat at least deserves a genuine handshake. I readied myself.
Twweeeeetttt! the whistle blow furiously and we were off. There was a quick glance into eachothers
eyes and just 27 seconds later somebody was slugging off the mat in tears and let me just say it wasn t
me. Although it was a tough match for him, I believe that he, along with his friends, had gained a new
level of respect for me that day and will keep that for the rest of your life s.

Romeo And Juliet Character Analysis
A foil is a character that is used to enhance the characteristics of another character (most likely the
story s protagonist) by a clear contrast between the two characters. To help bring the characters in
Romeo and Juliet to life, William Shakespeare creates foils to compare his main characters to and
show why they are better or a better couple in the case of Romeo and Juliet. While some of the foil
characters are obvious, like in the case of Romeo and Paris, or Juliet and Rosaline, in other cases it s
harder to see the contrast and the significance, as in the case of Romeo and Mercutio. The role of the
foil characters in Romeo and Juliet is also to show what could have happened if the protagonists had
made different choices. Throughout Romeo and Juliet it is made clear that Romeo and Paris are foils
as the both are in love Juliet and wish to marry her. However this often leads people to forgetting
about Mercutio and his clear contrast with Romeo. We see their differing opinions clearly in Act 1,
Scene 4, in which Mercutio tries to persuade Romeo to join them in crashing the Capulet s feast.
Romeo takes love very seriously, pining and yearning for Rosaline, while Mercutio treats love as a
joke and something to be wary of. When Romeo says he cannot join them because he feels too heavy
hearted, Mercutio tells Romeo to borrow Cupid s wings, And soar with them above a common bound
(1.4.18 19) Furthermore, when Romeo argues that love is rough, rude, boist rous, and

According to (Homa Sheikh Sajadieh, 2013) Waste elimination is one of the most effective ways to
increase the profitability of any business. Processes either add value or waste to the production of a
good or service. The seven wastes originated in Japan, where waste is known as muda . The seven
wastes is a tool to further categorize muda and was originally developed by Toyota s Chief Engineer
Taiichi Ohno as the core of the Toyota Production System, also known as Lean Manufacturing. To
eliminate waste, it is important to understand exactly what waste is and where it exists. While
products significantly differ between factories, the typical wastes found in manufacturing
environments are quite similar. For each waste, there is a strategy to reduce or eliminate its effect on a
company, thereby improving overall performance and quality .
The seven types of waste are:
1. Waste from overproduction.
2. Waste from waiting times.
3. Waste from transportation and handling.
4. Waste related to useless and excess inventories.
5. Waste in the production process.
6. Useless motions.
7. Waste from scrap and defects.
According to (Okpala, 2014) In Lean Production System, waste (which is referred to as muda in
Japan) is described as anything that destroys resources and does not add any value to the customer s
requirements. This is because manufacturing waste is the application of resources like raw materials,
labor, equipment, or machines over and above what is

The Causes Of The French And Indian War
Beginning in 1754 and culminating in the signing of the Treaty of Paris in 1763, the French and Indian
War, (also referred to as the Seven Years War) was a significant contention between Great Britain and
France. As the French empire continued to expand in America, it s new territory collided with that of
Great Britain s empire. These two Mother Countries had already previously fought against each other
twice before in other unresolved battles, and were now willing to fight more than ever to establish
dominance in the New World. These world powers would initiate a warfare resulting in the spread of
territory and continuing conflict with the natives, as well as, strain on the relationship between Britain
and its colonies. Throughout the 1750s, France and Britain were vying for control over North
American territory in an attempt to expand their already thriving empires. In the year 1754, this rivalry
was reignited when the French constructed Fort Duquesne on the area known as present day Ohio.
Britain had previously granted this land to a group of planters for agricultural purposes. The British
soldier George Washington attempted to negotiate with France, was rejected, forcing him to return
back to Virginia with militia to construct Fort Necessity. When compromises were not made, British
soldiers, along with native allies, attacked the fort. This single attack resulted in various conflicts,
increasingly more violent and costly. In the following July, the French forced

Story Of An Hour Tone Analysis
In the short story The Story of an Hour by Kate Chopin uses tone to indicate to the reader what she is
trying to tell the audience. Kate Chopin uses a variety of tone in the short story through Mrs. Mallard
who is the protagonist in the story. In the short story The Story of an Hour, the authors describe
several tones such cruel, positive, and mysterious tone throughout the story. Kate Chopin wrote the
short story between 1800 s to 1900 s, as seen in the text ...truth by a second telegram (Chopin 179). As
indicated in the quote the telegrams were used during that period which meant, that women didn t
have as many rights, and they had to follow what their husband told them to do. As seen in the text
when Mrs. Mallard finds out about her husband she cries, she wept as once, with sudden, wild
abandonment, in her sister s arms (Chopin 179). This shows that Mrs. Mallard loves her husband;
however, she has no freedom. She could not do what she wanted and always had to obey her husband,
so her life wasn t the way she wanted. Kate Chopin expresses the tone as cruel through Mr. Mallard
and audiences point of view. Furthermore, Kate Chopin uses the tone free, which meant to be freedom
for Mrs. Mallard. After the news of Mr. Mallard death, Kate Chopin states, She could see in the open
square before her house the tops of trees that were all aquiver with the new spring of life (180). As
indicated in the quote she can see in the open square proves that Mrs. Mallard is

Architecture Of The Taj Mahal
The Taj Mahal, located on the southern bank of Yamuna River in Agra, India, is said to be created by
Shah Jahan in 1632. It is known to be a complex mausoleum that combines Persian, Islamic, and
Indian influences, and is one of the world s most celebrated structures and stunning symbols of India s
rich history . From Sanskrit, Tejo Mahalay (Taj Mahal) means The Great Abode of Tej . In the Hindu
religion, the name Shiva translates to Tejaji and Mahalay means mansion. Therefore, the Taj should
have been known to be a Temple Palace of Lord Shiva, Hindu God. Mumtaz was Shah Jahan s most
beautiful and devoted wife who was content to have lots of children with her husband died giving
birth to their fourteenth child . Although many historians believe that Shah Jahan had created the Taj
to cherish his wife, others believe that it originated an ancient Shiva temple. According to N.P. Oak,
Indian journalist, Shah Jahan had commandeered it from Maharaja of Jaipur and therefore did not
create it himself. The Taj Mahal was meant to be a remembrance of Mumtaz, but the structure of the
building proves otherwise; the Taj Mahal should be viewed as a temple, not a tomb. Temples are often
built on river banks and sea benches. The Taj Mahal was built on the banks of the Yamuna River,
which was the ideal location for a Shiva Temple. Also, the Taj is located in Agra city, which is an
ancient center of Shiva worship. The officials at Agra preserve their tradition by worshipping at five

Essay on Lutheranism
Lutheranism
The Roman Catholic Church dominated religion for many years in Europe and became an extremely
powerful institution. Over the years, the Roman church became corrupt and immoral in many ways.
The development of the Protestant Reformation, Lutheranism, was greatly influenced by political
events in the years proceeding the 16th century. The declared aim of the original reformer, Martin
Luther, was to restore the Christian faith as it had been at its formation, while salvaging what he
considered valuable from the Roman Catholic tradition that had developed during the previous
centuries. Luther broke the unity of the Catholic Church forever by exposing their faults and
misguided notions. Lutheranism spread quickly due to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Lastly, the only person who could call a counsil was the Pope. This last point emphasizes that the
Roman Catholic Empire created laws of their own that were dictated by one sole person. Luther set
out to spread his idea of true Christianity.
The main ideology of Lutheranism is that salvation can be gained by three fundamental precepts: by
faith, by grace and by scripture alone. Luther felt that Salvation could not be achieved through good
works such as prayer or holy living: Good works do not make a good man, but a good man does good
works. (Luther, On Christian Liberty, p.9). Faith in God is created through the belief and love for Him;
salvation would rise from it nonetheless. Luther felt that it was up to every individual to interpret the
Scriptures and decide for himself what was good. This was a revolutionary concept, as previously it
had been only the Pope who could interpret the Scriptures. Another concept of Lutheranism was that
every believer could achieve priesthood. All men who had true faith had the opportunity to serve God
and were equal in His eyes. Among Christians there shall and can be no authority; rather all are alike
subject to one another. (Luther, Part Two. How Far Temporal Authority Extends, p.31). Bishops and
priests in the Lutheran church were not authoritative figures but simply serving an office.
In comparison to other sects that evolved from the Protestant Reformation, Lutheranism had

in a modest home in southern Canada. As she lives out the final days of her life at her house, Iris
handwrites a personal memoir depicting the haunting events of her past as the wife of a distinguished
politician and businessman in the early 1900s. Iris was pressured by her father to marry the wealthy

father dies, leaving Iris and her younger sister Laura to the luxurious tyranny of life with Richard. Iris
engages in an affair with Alex Thomas, a unionist on the run and friend of the sisters, to escape from
what became a restrictive, abusive marriage to Richard, but Richard sends Laura off to a mental
institution after she rebels against him, and Alex dies in World War II. After the war ends Iris reveals

Beep! Beep! Beep! The alarm goes crazy early in the morning to wake me up. I let out a groan as I do
a full body stretch. I slowly crawl out of my warm cozy bed and work my way into the bathroom. I
flip the shower knobs on and wait 30 seconds to get in to the tub. I wet everything down before I put
special no scent shampoo into my hair. I lather up the shampoo and let it sit in my hair. While it sits in
my hair I put some no scent soap onto a wash rag and lather up my whole body face to toe. I quickly
rinse all of the lathered up soap off my body and grab a towel to dry off. I stay in the shower to dry off
because all of the warm moist air is still trapped inside. I brace myself to get out of the warm shower
and go into the artic feeling bathroom. I quickly run out of the bathroom to go and throw some shorts
on. After I throw shorts on I crawl up the stairs like a gorilla would. I nonchalantly pour some cereal
and milk in a bowl and start to devour it. I eat before I get dressed so no human food scent gets onto
my hunting clothes. Depending on the weather you will either want to dress in layers if it is very cold,

AngloSaxon Language Nearly all knowledge of the English language before the seventh century is
hypothetical. Most of this knowledge is based on later English documents and earlier documents in
related languages (3). The English language of today represents many centuries of development. As a
continuous process, the development of the English language began in England around the year 449
with the arrival of several Germanic tribes including: the Angles, the Saxons, and the Jutes (1, p.49).
English, like all other languages, is subject to constant growth and decay (1). Many of the political and

Late into this period many linguistic changes began to occur (3, p472). The customary usage of
pronunciation, spelling, grammar, and vocabulary all modified with the Norman Invasion in 1066 (2,

English (ME), the second stage of the development of English (3, p723).
Middle English was spoken from 1100 1500 during the late Middle Ages (2, p3 of 4). After the
Norman Invasion, a French speaking people occupied England (2, p3 of 4). Both the natural evolution
of language and the French influence brought significant changes in the speech of the natives (2,
p3of4). More far reaching, however, were the borrowings,... from French, that transformed English
from an almost wholly Germanic language to a language of mixed Germanic Romance composition
(3, p473). In ME almost every aspect of OE changed considerably (3, p473). Many OE words fell
completely out of use (3, p658). But three main features of ME greatly contrasted with OE: There was
a greatly increased borrowing from other languages, such as, French and Latin; the system of
grammatical inflections was notably reduced: and the orthography of the language became highly
varied and unstable (3, p657). Despite all these changes, there was still no uniform way of writing
ME. Many aspects of ME varied greatly from place to place, person to person, and period to

someone reads impacts the amount of success they will have academically( Issitt and Cook 1 of 7).
Reading also helps to advance reading skills for later use in life and future jobs it improves the lives of
people. Whether engaged in a book, a newspaper or looking at random signs a requirement of basic
reading skills is needed for engagement and interpretation of the world surroundings(Hoss 1 of 2).. To
be a successful student a reader uses background knowledge for different subjects. Students with the
right reading skills can in the future develop this more to a higher academically or professional
level(Hoss 2 of 2). Once developed written words are easier to interpret; to their advantage they use
the information to better improve their lives(Hoss 2 of 2). There are major problems that arise when
someone has little or no reading experience. A person with low reading ability may not be able to read

Greek Mental Illness History
The history of psychopathology goes back hundreds of centuries in the past. The history of
psychopathology goes along with social and medical history. Throughout history we can see that
mental health has evolved in the way we conceive it. Also, through history, we understand why the
mentally ill have been tortured, or protected, and this will depend on the perspective of the human
being at that particular time. Mentally ill people in prehistoric times were seen as if evil spirits possess
them, so the exorcism and spells applications were the ways to treat their condition. Today mental
illness is treated scientifically and as human disease and not as in ancient times that was awarded to
supernatural powers. Primitive Cultures 10,000 BC In ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Marx s The Capitalist System
Marx believed that the capitalist system causes the world s wealth to be concentrated in the hands of
the greedy few, inflicting an even bigger gap between the rich and the working class. Needless to say
there is always going to be never ending tensions between these two classes, especially since our
society has been split between the 99% of the working class and the 1% of the privileged people
getting richer every single day. When there are no principles of order and no boundaries of rules, the
free market is able to produce more than what the capitalist can sell. However, when too much of one
product is made, the value and the demand of the product decreases, showing red flags of what Marx s
calls a period of overproduction. It concludes that the supply is greater than the demand, creating a
cost instead of a profit for the capitalist since that have to sell what they overproduced. Regardless of
this, it is important to know that overproduction isn t seen as a problem for the rest world unless they
are the owners of the means of production the capitalist class because it only matters in the concept of
profit. The reason behind it as described earlier is if too much was produced and the demand isn t as
high, profit would decrease due to the unbalance of the equation. It makes more sense in Marx s words
which he states, So long as the most urgent needs of a large part of society are not satisfied, or only
the most immediate needs are satisfied, there can of course be

Candles, A Remarkable, Yet Simple Creation
Candles are a remarkable, yet simple creation. Understanding the origin of candles, types of candles,
benefits, uses, and how they work is most often ignored. Fragrant smells and vibrant colors can
occasionally overpower their overall importance. The history of candles may be unknown in some
instances, but studies have found evidence relating back to the Ancient Egyptians before 3,000 B.C. It
has also been found that the Ancient Romans developed the wicked candle later after 3,000 B.C.
(Communications, 2015) For hundreds of centuries, the creation of the candle has remained popular
for its uses throughout the world. Although candles continue to have admirable qualities throughout
their existence, explanation of candles often goes unnoticed and overlooked. Candle waxes have a
complex history along with several uses and benefits suitable for use in situations, such as when the
power goes out or to ward off bugs.
Origin
The history of candles may be unknown in some instances, but studies have found evidence relating
back to the Ancient Egyptians. The Ancient Egyptians used torches or other known as rushlights. The
cores of the reeds of torches, were soaked in melted animal fat and lit with a fire source. Although
unlike a true candle, the torches or rushlights did not have a wick. Later after 3,000 B.C., the Ancient
Romans developed the wicked candle. Rolled papyrus was dipped in melted animal fat (also known as
tallow) or beeswax then lit with fire. The light from the flame

ASB 4413 INTERNATIONAL STRATEGIC MANAGMENT
A Report Analysis on the Circular Economy using innovative ideas and different case studies of
manufacturing and service sector.
CONTENTS
Executive summary
Introduction
Definition
A Circular economy as a regenerative system in which resource input and waste, emission, and energy
leakage are minimized by slowing, closing, and narrowing material and energy loops. This can be
achieved through long lasting design, maintenance, repair, reuse, remanufacturing, refurbishing, and
recycling. (Martin Geissdoerfer a, 2017)
Concept
We can state that in Circular economy utilizing old merchandise and utilizing crude material which is
as waste, and it can be replicated and reused by reusing the item by utilizing the imaginative thoughts
remembering that it doesn t influence the earth. This will help everyone to spare cash and it will give
steady employment to individuals to work more in up and coming future. As we probably are aware
we are in the new time of the business world as individuals are presently moving from paper cash to
plastic cash and it is the change time frame for the world economy. Along these lines, same applies to
our items as they require some change on the grounds that the entire world is moving towards the
cutting edge world. Looking beyond the current [take, make and dispose] extractive industrial model,
the circular economy is restorative and regenerative by design . (1.macarthur, 2017) The circular
economy can be explained as using raw materials, recycle it and use new technologies to make more
efficient so that our product can be sustained for long period of time. While we are performing these
task, we can generate more jobs and we require more employees as we are in producing phase, so we
need more and more employees to perform the job. This sector works perfectly because we are
recycling the waste and reproducing it by using different ideas, procedures and technologies to make
our product perfect. (1.macarthur, 2017)

Benefits of Legalizing Marijuana Essay
Benefits of Legalizing Marijuana Every year, 400,000 Americans die of complications caused by
tobacco products. Smoking kills more Americans each year than alcohol, crack, heroin, murder,
suicide, car accidents, fires, and AIDS all put together. Every week, eight children under the age of
eighteen die from alcohol related crashes. Alcohol abuse contributes to almost 50% of all traffic
accidents, suicides, and homicides. However, despite the proven dangers of these socially acceptable
drugs, they are still legal. Marijuana, a much less acceptable drug, is not legal however, despite the
fact that research has yet to pin any specific dangers to this drug. Aside from the health issues of

Inflated accounts of the effects of marijuana included violent crimes, users going crazy, and death
from marijuana usage. This propaganda led to 27 states passing marijuana restriction laws. The
Marijuana Tax Act, which would make use of marijuana a criminal offense, was introduced in April of
1937. The two congressional hearings combined totaled less than one hour. Oddly enough, these
hearings were bases solely on the propaganda of the media. When the American Medical Association
(AMA) came forward to state, among other things, that there was no proof that marijuana was at all
harmful and that prohibiting the drug would severely compromise physicians abilities to utilize the
therapeutic qualities of the plant, AMA Legislative Council Dr. William C. Woodward was told: If you

So in that case performance measures should be selected to end goals of a particular institute. Solution
Proposing a balanced scorecard Balanced scorecard is a set of measures, which give the complete
view of any business performance. Kaplan and Norton (1995) explained balanced scorecard in
following words: The balanced scorecard should translate a business unit s mission and strategy into
tangible objectives and measures. The measures represent a balance between external measures for
shareholders and customers and internal measures of critical business processes, innovation and
learning and growth. The measures are balance between outcome measures, the results of past efforts,
and the measures that drive future performance. And the scorecard is balanced between objective,
easily quantified outcome measures and subjective, somewhat judgmental, performance... Following
are the strategic performance measures of any balanced scorecard: Financial performance: it deals
with how the current and potential stakeholders see a particular business. Customer performance: This
measure tells the company about the view of customers regarding the company/institute Business and

White Collar Crime And Organized Crime
Introduction: This paper explores white collar crime and elaborates on the types of organized crimes
through the analysis of case studies. Furthermore, I will also discuss the differences and similarities
between professional crime and organized crime. White collar crime is the use of deceptive acts to
solely benefit oneself, often leaving many victimized. Within this paper, I explain which theories best
clarify why individuals partake in these criminal behaviors, and preventative methods. In addition, I
will state my opinion on the severity of white collar crime and organized crime.
Description: According to Sutherland, the definition of white collar crime is violations of the law
committed by a person of high social status within the course of their otherwise respectable
occupation, business, or profession . Within this definition Sutherland places a significant amount of
emphasis on a few key words. The first key word is of high social status, which excludes those
individuals who are of middle class and lower echelons. Secondly, the deception must occur within the
business setting. White collar crime has a damaging impact on the social morale because it causes
individuals to lose trust in financial institutions, which sends negative images to the middle and lower
class. Without the use of investing, it creates a hindrance to the growth of the economy. Moreover,
many of those victimized do not know they were taken advantage of, and can those their life savings

The Importance Of Workplace Conflict
Conflict is a natural part of human existence. It occurs in just about any environment and the
workplace is no exception. Conflicts arise when there is a difference of opinion between two or more
persons (Cohen, 2014). Workplace conflicts can be difficult to resolve, however, unresolved conflicts
can result in poor interpersonal relationships, compromise employee loyalty, and even jeopardize
quality and safety (Bowers Ferron, 2014). While unresolved conflicts may have deleterious effects on
the work environment, healthy conflict resolution can lead to creativity and growth (Bowers Ferron,
2014). One of the main sources of conflict between employees, supervisors, and the human resource
(HR) department is poor communication. Nurses can experience conflict with other nurses due
perceptions of favoritism, poor team work, and unfair work assignments as can employees in any field
of work. According to Cohen (2014), a common misconception among nurse managers is that nurses
can resolve conflicts on their own with little or no guidance. However, Cohen argues that most nurses
have little or no formal training in conflict resolution and that they often cope with conflict in the
workplace much like they do in their personal lives (2014). As a result, less than ideal conflict
resolution approaches such as avoidance behaviors and unprofessional body language or verbal
responses are used which serve only to further exacerbate problems (Cohen, 2014). Leaders have a

Norman Bates Schizophrenia
The Film, Psycho directed by Alfred Hitchcock, effectively presented the ideas of murder and
schizophrenia through the use of characters, particularly with the double sided Norman Bates. Sound
and visual techniques were also depicted quite well. Murder and schizophrenia were vividly
interpreted in the movie Psycho through the use of characters. The character of Norman Bates was the
central character in the film and had a complex and differing personality. One moment he was shy,
kind, lonely Norman Bates, a mother s boy, and the next he was a deadly jealous Mrs. Bates, his
deceased mother. This change of personalities was because he was affected by schizophrenia, and at
times his mother s side took over his persona. We can see this ... Show more content on

Long before we find out about Norman s split personality, we see glimpses of a darker side. When
Norman has dinner with Marion, he leans forwards as he speaks about putting his mother in an
institution. The lighting of his face at an angle to illuminate the area around his eyes but casting a
shadow on the rest of his face, creates a sinister, weird look, that hints at his true character. While we
see this view of Norman, the background shifts to a more fierce looking bird on the wall. Another
visual technique used in the movie was the actual casting of the character Norman. A fairly small, slim
man was used to portray a weak looking man who could pull off the mother s boy role realistically.
Norman looks incapable of large amounts of strength as well as a character wise, unable to kill a
person, let alone be a serial killer. The shower scene was a very good visual example of how the idea
of schizophrenic murder was successfully dealt with in the film. The shower scene showed Marion
Crane, a young woman who had just been subtly persuaded by Norman to repent of her recent crime,
and so was washing herself physically and symbolically in the shower. Washing away her sin and
guilt, because in the morning she would own up to her crime, pay for it, and start again, guilt free.
This worked well to add greater emphasis on the shower scene, because at this turning point in the plot
we see she has made a good decision to set things right. It is almost unbelievable that Marion could be
murdered at this high point. Nonetheless, the film goes on with her murder, which is a very shocking
sequence because it happens quickly; as the knife stabs Marion, we see the figure of Mrs. Bates a
figure in a dress with a woman s hat on. We are led to assume it is Mrs. Bates, and we are given a big
surprise at the end when we find out it was actually Norman wearing her dress. The

What Is Ethical Issues In Marketing
Introduction
Business Ethics and Marketing, in this essay I will elaborate on key factors, such as, positive
outcomes and negative outcomes of marketing. I will touch on issues that are important in certain
aspects of business ethics that derives from marketing as well as the well being of the community. I
will further elaborate on the outcomes of these consequences that have an impact on the people, planet
and profit.
My judgment of marketing is the systematic series of actions between the service and product with the
consumer completing the purchase. Marketing is not all about advertising or distributing flyers. It
consists of having the right pricing objective and promotional mix to entice consumers into purchasing
the product or service at a reasonable price, and that the promotion is appealing. Ethics in marketing is
vital; it compromises on cutting and rising of prices, marketing at selective locations only, and false
information of a specific product or service that may cause a bad name to the company s associations.

My Brother Sam Is Dead By Christopher Collier
My Brother Sam is Dead
The authors of My Brother Sam is Dead, James and Christopher Collier, are ultimately against the

One of the reasons Collier and Collier are against war is the Divisions between Families. One of the
divisions is when Mr. Meeker kicks Sam out of the house for joining the Revolutionary War. Go, Sam.

and sometimes women for money. In many parts of the world and with women from different parts of

there is a sixty percent of young women in the sex trade were Aboriginal youth and on average of age
to be forced into the trade, is around the age of eleven or twelve for the women to enter the sex trade

employment for women was at the minimum level, but then their war a big decrease greatly during
World War II, this was mainly from the greater opportunities for women in the industries that were
war related like being nurses and help for the wounded. As time went on and we have come to the
present day, the prostitution trade started hitting its high point then plummeting greatly later over the
years to as we see it today because of the changes and new laws that the government has made.
The law has always been around and it keeps the system and people safe and in order, including the

Capital Budgeting Is An Investment Appraisal Essay
Capital budgeting is an investment appraisal, and is the single most important decision made by a
company s finance and exec team. It is the planning process used to determine whether an
organization s long term venture(s) are worth the investment through the firm s debt, equity or
retained earnings. One of the primary goals is to increase the value of the firm to the shareholders. The
process of capital budgeting involves analyzing, evaluating and deciding whether resources should be
allocated to a project (Lowengrub session 6 slides) . Several methods to evaluate incremental cash
flows from each possible investment option.
Net present value, expressed as is the method used to compare the present value of cash inflows to
cash outflows. A positive NPV specifies that the projected incomes from the investment surpasses the
estimated costs. Typically, in this case, a positive NVP will show a good ROI and if vice versa, will
yield in a loss, therefore a project should be accepted with a result of a positive NPV.
The Internal Rate of Return compares the firms cost of capital to the rate of return that makes the net
cash flows from a project equal to the project s cost (Lowengrub, 2016). The IRR is the interest rate at
which the NPV of all the cash flows from a project equal zero. If the internal rate of return of an
investment/project surpasses a company s required rate of return, that project could be accepted.
The modified internal rate of return is a

Integrity has to be lodged into my mind, body and soul.
This is what I must live by, working in an OR.

  • 2. Increase Home Ownership The increase in home ownership in the balance between the home owner and the private rental sector. Home ownership began to fall in early 2000s, and the fall has increased since then, with the decline more than 4% in the five years between 2007 2008 and 2012 2013 (Belfield et al, 2015). Due to the number increase of home ownership in the country. The people who are struggling to purchase a house are the young people. Over the last decade, there has been an increase in the proportion of younger person household in the UK. The people at age under 30 are living in privately rented properties, around 30% in 1997 to 49% in 2009. On the other hand, the percentage of young people buying their own homes with a mortgage has decreased from 43% to 29% ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Evidence shows that many tenants also fall into at least one other group considered to be at higher risk of experiencing financial exclusion. In which 25% are people over 65 years, 16% are at an age between 16 24, 16% have a disability or long term illness, 6% are the Black and Ethnic minority, 59% of women and 72% in receipt of housing benefit. There is a difference between the generation of today and home ownership; those born later are somewhat less likely to be homeowners than their predecessor at the same stage in their life. Evidence shows that, the growth of home ownership rate with age for people born in different years. Those who are born in mid 1970 now aged in their late 30s have lower rates of home ownership than the people who were born before them (Belfield et al, 2015). Also for those who were fortunate to have bought their house under the Right to Buy scheme have a higher rate of home ownership compared to those who did not get the opportunity to do so. For those who are aged 25, have a homeowner rate of, 45% compared with 33% of those born in the 1970s cohort and only 20% in born 1980s cohort. This evidence has been suggested that this change may well out to be a permanent difference between generation rather than simply changes in the timing of house purchase due to he factor such as changing in the timing and family formation (Belfield et al, 2015; ONS, ... • 4. Correlation Between Velocity And Self Efficacy It is my belief that by not accounting for experiential feedback or the internal velocity standard past research has made incomplete conclusions about velocity. The aim of the present study is address some of the problems identified by in the velocity literature (Johnson, Howe, Chang, 2012; Carver Scheier, 2001) by disambiguating the role of experiential and external feedback. This study also seeks to merge the two fields of self efficacy and velocity by connecting recent developments in both fields. Through doing so, I will test the relationship between velocity and self efficacy as well as establish how each source of feedback does or does not impact perceptions of velocity. External feedback as a moderator between perceived ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Nine participants from this initial sample were excluded from analysis for not completing the study and three others were removed for failing attention check items. The study used a 3 (experiential feedback: slow, moderate, fast) x 3 (external feedback: fast, slow, none) between subjects design. Materials The task participants were asked to complete was an ambiguous captcha task developed for the current study but inspired by similar ambiguous tasks used in past research. A sample of this task can be found in Appendix A. A captcha is a common online task that is easy for people but difficult for computers, the purpose of which is to distinguish between whether a user is human or not. The goal of this task to correctly identify the letters or numbers displayed in a string of characters of varying fonts, sizes, and arrangements. The captchas used for this task were taken from real online captchas but, to further add to the ambiguity, they were slightly blurred in photo editing software. Each trial of the Ambiguous Captcha Task lasts two minutes and contained 12 items. Participants were shown items one at a time and were given ten seconds to provide an answer before the next item appeared automatically on the screen. After each trial participants were given a short questionnaire that assessed perceived velocity (ex., How do you feel about the rate at which you are receiving points?) and task specific ... • 5. I Am Hard-Personal Narrative I VE LEARNED Due to my comparatively insignificant age, I haven t learned many Oprah worthy lessons in my life. Although I am young, I feel that a certain lesson in particular has been key to my small but important successes. I ve learned that working hard will demand your respect no matter who you are. I continue to apply this life long lesson on the wrestling mats with my coaches at every meet, practice, and free time. It was the Bend City Championships (wrestling). My palms were sweaty, my face tomato red, and my heart was pounding, due to the 7 testosterone filled, middle school boys, in my bracket. Luckily, I had my best wrestling ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I began to bounce eagerly (to warm up your body before a match) as my eyes darted from my giggling opponent Lazarus, to my feet. My coaches from both teams each came by with a small pep talk and left me to focus on my own. Charli and Lazarus! our future ref shouted impatiently. Do we have a Charli and Lasarus here? he said with a roll of his eyes. I m here I said with as much confidence as I could mustar. Here spit Lazarus looking back at his snake like buddy s. You know the drill, shake hands I shook hands as respectful as I could knowing that anyone with enough guts to set foot on any wrestling mat at least deserves a genuine handshake. I readied myself. Twweeeeetttt! the whistle blow furiously and we were off. There was a quick glance into eachothers eyes and just 27 seconds later somebody was slugging off the mat in tears and let me just say it wasn t me. Although it was a tough match for him, I believe that he, along with his friends, had gained a new level of respect for me that day and will keep that for the rest of your life s. • 6. Romeo And Juliet Character Analysis A foil is a character that is used to enhance the characteristics of another character (most likely the story s protagonist) by a clear contrast between the two characters. To help bring the characters in Romeo and Juliet to life, William Shakespeare creates foils to compare his main characters to and show why they are better or a better couple in the case of Romeo and Juliet. While some of the foil characters are obvious, like in the case of Romeo and Paris, or Juliet and Rosaline, in other cases it s harder to see the contrast and the significance, as in the case of Romeo and Mercutio. The role of the foil characters in Romeo and Juliet is also to show what could have happened if the protagonists had made different choices. Throughout Romeo and Juliet it is made clear that Romeo and Paris are foils as the both are in love Juliet and wish to marry her. However this often leads people to forgetting about Mercutio and his clear contrast with Romeo. We see their differing opinions clearly in Act 1, Scene 4, in which Mercutio tries to persuade Romeo to join them in crashing the Capulet s feast. Romeo takes love very seriously, pining and yearning for Rosaline, while Mercutio treats love as a joke and something to be wary of. According to (Homa Sheikh Sajadieh, 2013) Waste elimination is one of the most effective ways to increase the profitability of any business. Processes either add value or waste to the production of a good or service. The seven wastes originated in Japan, where waste is known as muda . The seven wastes is a tool to further categorize muda and was originally developed by Toyota s Chief Engineer Taiichi Ohno as the core of the Toyota Production System, also known as Lean Manufacturing. To eliminate waste, it is important to understand exactly what waste is and where it exists. While products significantly differ between factories, the typical wastes found in manufacturing environments are quite similar. For each waste, there is a strategy to reduce or eliminate its effect on a company, thereby improving overall performance and quality . The seven types of waste are: 1. Waste from overproduction. 2. Waste from waiting times. 3. Waste from transportation and handling. 4. Waste related to useless and excess inventories. 5. Waste in the production process. 6. Useless motions. 7. Waste from scrap and defects. According to (Okpala, 2014) In Lean Production System, waste (which is referred to as muda in Japan) is described as anything that destroys resources and does not add any value to the customer s requirements. • 8. The Causes Of The French And Indian War Beginning in 1754 and culminating in the signing of the Treaty of Paris in 1763, the French and Indian War, (also referred to as the Seven Years War) was a significant contention between Great Britain and France. As the French empire continued to expand in America, it s new territory collided with that of Great Britain s empire. These two Mother Countries had already previously fought against each other twice before in other unresolved battles, and were now willing to fight more than ever to establish dominance in the New World. These world powers would initiate a warfare resulting in the spread of territory and continuing conflict with the natives, as well as, strain on the relationship between Britain and its colonies. Throughout the 1750s, France and Britain were vying for control over North American territory in an attempt to expand their already thriving empires. In the year 1754, this rivalry was reignited when the French constructed Fort Duquesne on the area known as present day Ohio. Britain had previously granted this land to a group of planters for agricultural purposes. The British soldier George Washington attempted to negotiate with France, was rejected, forcing him to return back to Virginia with militia to construct Fort Necessity. When compromises were not made, British soldiers, along with native allies, attacked the fort. It is known to be a complex mausoleum that combines Persian, Islamic, and Indian influences, and is one of the world s most celebrated structures and stunning symbols of India s rich history . From Sanskrit, Tejo Mahalay (Taj Mahal) means The Great Abode of Tej . In the Hindu religion, the name Shiva translates to Tejaji and Mahalay means mansion. Therefore, the Taj should have been known to be a Temple Palace of Lord Shiva, Hindu God. Mumtaz was Shah Jahan s most beautiful and devoted wife who was content to have lots of children with her husband died giving birth to their fourteenth child . Although many historians believe that Shah Jahan had created the Taj to cherish his wife, others believe that it originated an ancient Shiva temple. According to N.P. Oak, Indian journalist, Shah Jahan had commandeered it from Maharaja of Jaipur and therefore did not create it himself. The Taj Mahal was meant to be a remembrance of Mumtaz, but the structure of the building proves otherwise; the Taj Mahal should be viewed as a temple, not a tomb. Temples are often built on river banks and sea benches. The Taj Mahal was built on the banks of the Yamuna River, which was the ideal location for a Shiva Temple. Lastly, the only person who could call a counsil was the Pope. This last point emphasizes that the Roman Catholic Empire created laws of their own that were dictated by one sole person. Luther set out to spread his idea of true Christianity. The main ideology of Lutheranism is that salvation can be gained by three fundamental precepts: by faith, by grace and by scripture alone. Luther felt that Salvation could not be achieved through good works such as prayer or holy living: Good works do not make a good man, but a good man does good works. (Luther, On Christian Liberty, p.9). Faith in God is created through the belief and love for Him; salvation would rise from it nonetheless. Luther felt that it was up to every individual to interpret the Scriptures and decide for himself what was good. This was a revolutionary concept, as previously it had been only the Pope who could interpret the Scriptures. Another concept of Lutheranism was that every believer could achieve priesthood. All men who had true faith had the opportunity to serve God and were equal in His eyes. Among Christians there shall and can be no authority; rather all are alike subject to one another. Marx s The Capitalist System Marx believed that the capitalist system causes the world s wealth to be concentrated in the hands of the greedy few, inflicting an even bigger gap between the rich and the working class. Needless to say there is always going to be never ending tensions between these two classes, especially since our society has been split between the 99% of the working class and the 1% of the privileged people getting richer every single day. When there are no principles of order and no boundaries of rules, the free market is able to produce more than what the capitalist can sell. However, when too much of one product is made, the value and the demand of the product decreases, showing red flags of what Marx s calls a period of overproduction. It concludes that the supply is greater than the demand, creating a cost instead of a profit for the capitalist since that have to sell what they overproduced. Regardless of this, it is important to know that overproduction isn t seen as a problem for the rest world unless they are the owners of the means of production the capitalist class because it only matters in the concept of profit. The reason behind it as described earlier is if too much was produced and the demand isn t as high, profit would decrease due to the unbalance of the equation. Meaning Of Circular Economy CIRCULAR ECONOMY NAME: Siddharth Shukla STUDENT ID:500491513 Bangor Business School Date:8th December 2017 ASB 4413 INTERNATIONAL STRATEGIC MANAGMENT A Report Analysis on the Circular Economy using innovative ideas and different case studies of manufacturing and service sector. CONTENTS Executive summary Introduction Definition A Circular economy as a regenerative system in which resource input and waste, emission, and energy leakage are minimized by slowing, closing, and narrowing material and energy loops. This can be achieved through long lasting design, maintenance, repair, reuse, remanufacturing, refurbishing, and recycling. (Martin Geissdoerfer a, 2017) Concept We can state that in Circular economy utilizing old merchandise and utilizing crude material which is as waste, and it can be replicated and reused by reusing the item by utilizing the imaginative thoughts remembering that it doesn t influence the earth. This will help everyone to spare cash and it will give steady employment to individuals to work more in up and coming future. As we probably are aware we are in the new time of the business world as individuals are presently moving from paper cash to plastic cash and it is the change time frame for the world economy. Along these lines, same applies to our items as they require some change on the grounds that the entire world is moving towards the cutting edge world. Looking beyond the current [take, make and dispose] extractive industrial model, the circular economy is restorative and regenerative by design . (1.macarthur, 2017) The circular economy can be explained as using raw materials, recycle it and use new technologies to make more efficient so that our product can be sustained for long period of time. While we are performing these task, we can generate more jobs and we require more employees as we are in producing phase, so we need more and more employees to perform the job. This sector works perfectly because we are recycling the waste and reproducing it by using different ideas, procedures and technologies to make our product perfect. (1.macarthur, 2017)

  • 29. Benefits of Legalizing Marijuana Essay Benefits of Legalizing Marijuana Every year, 400,000 Americans die of complications caused by tobacco products. Smoking kills more Americans each year than alcohol, crack, heroin, murder, suicide, car accidents, fires, and AIDS all put together. Every week, eight children under the age of eighteen die from alcohol related crashes. Alcohol abuse contributes to almost 50% of all traffic accidents, suicides, and homicides. However, despite the proven dangers of these socially acceptable drugs, they are still legal. Marijuana, a much less acceptable drug, is not legal however, despite the fact that research has yet to pin any specific dangers to this drug. Inflated accounts of the effects of marijuana included violent crimes, users going crazy, and death from marijuana usage. This propaganda led to 27 states passing marijuana restriction laws. The Marijuana Tax Act, which would make use of marijuana a criminal offense, was introduced in April of 1937. The two congressional hearings combined totaled less than one hour. Oddly enough, these hearings were bases solely on the propaganda of the media. When the American Medical Association (AMA) came forward to state, among other things, that there was no proof that marijuana was at all harmful and that prohibiting the drug would severely compromise physicians abilities to utilize the therapeutic qualities of the plant, AMA Legislative Council Dr. William C. Woodward was told: If you want to advise us on legislation, you ought to come here with some constructive proposals ... rather than trying to throw obstacles in the way of something that the federal government is trying to do. So in that case performance measures should be selected to end goals of a particular institute. Solution Proposing a balanced scorecard Balanced scorecard is a set of measures, which give the complete view of any business performance. Kaplan and Norton (1995) explained balanced scorecard in following words: The balanced scorecard should translate a business unit s mission and strategy into tangible objectives and measures. The measures represent a balance between external measures for shareholders and customers and internal measures of critical business processes, innovation and learning and growth. • 32. White Collar Crime And Organized Crime Introduction: This paper explores white collar crime and elaborates on the types of organized crimes through the analysis of case studies. Furthermore, I will also discuss the differences and similarities between professional crime and organized crime. White collar crime is the use of deceptive acts to solely benefit oneself, often leaving many victimized. Within this paper, I explain which theories best clarify why individuals partake in these criminal behaviors, and preventative methods. In addition, I will state my opinion on the severity of white collar crime and organized crime. Description: According to Sutherland, the definition of white collar crime is violations of the law committed by a person of high social status within the course of their otherwise respectable occupation, business, or profession . Within this definition Sutherland places a significant amount of emphasis on a few key words. The first key word is of high social status, which excludes those individuals who are of middle class and lower echelons. Secondly, the deception must occur within the business setting. White collar crime has a damaging impact on the social morale because it causes individuals to lose trust in financial institutions, which sends negative images to the middle and lower class. Without the use of investing, it creates a hindrance to the growth of the economy. Moreover, many of those victimized do not know they were taken advantage of, and can those their life savings due to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 33. The Importance Of Workplace Conflict Conflict is a natural part of human existence. It occurs in just about any environment and the workplace is no exception. Conflicts arise when there is a difference of opinion between two or more persons (Cohen, 2014). Workplace conflicts can be difficult to resolve, however, unresolved conflicts can result in poor interpersonal relationships, compromise employee loyalty, and even jeopardize quality and safety (Bowers Ferron, 2014). While unresolved conflicts may have deleterious effects on the work environment, healthy conflict resolution can lead to creativity and growth (Bowers Ferron, 2014). One of the main sources of conflict between employees, supervisors, and the human resource (HR) department is poor communication. Nurses can experience conflict with other nurses due perceptions of favoritism, poor team work, and unfair work assignments as can employees in any field of work. According to Cohen (2014), a common misconception among nurse managers is that nurses can resolve conflicts on their own with little or no guidance. However, Cohen argues that most nurses have little or no formal training in conflict resolution and that they often cope with conflict in the workplace much like they do in their personal lives (2014). As a result, less than ideal conflict resolution approaches such as avoidance behaviors and unprofessional body language or verbal responses are used which serve only to further exacerbate problems (Cohen, 2014). • 34. Norman Bates Schizophrenia The Film, Psycho directed by Alfred Hitchcock, effectively presented the ideas of murder and schizophrenia through the use of characters, particularly with the double sided Norman Bates. Sound and visual techniques were also depicted quite well. Murder and schizophrenia were vividly interpreted in the movie Psycho through the use of characters. The character of Norman Bates was the central character in the film and had a complex and differing personality. One moment he was shy, kind, lonely Norman Bates, a mother s boy, and the next he was a deadly jealous Mrs. Bates, his deceased mother. This change of personalities was because he was affected by schizophrenia, and at times his mother s side took over his persona. We can see this ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Long before we find out about Norman s split personality, we see glimpses of a darker side. When Norman has dinner with Marion, he leans forwards as he speaks about putting his mother in an institution. The lighting of his face at an angle to illuminate the area around his eyes but casting a shadow on the rest of his face, creates a sinister, weird look, that hints at his true character. While we see this view of Norman, the background shifts to a more fierce looking bird on the wall. Another visual technique used in the movie was the actual casting of the character Norman. A fairly small, slim man was used to portray a weak looking man who could pull off the mother s boy role realistically. Norman looks incapable of large amounts of strength as well as a character wise, unable to kill a person, let alone be a serial killer. The shower scene was a very good visual example of how the idea of schizophrenic murder was successfully dealt with in the film. The shower scene showed Marion Crane, a young woman who had just been subtly persuaded by Norman to repent of her recent crime, and so was washing herself physically and symbolically in the shower. Washing away her sin and guilt, because in the morning she would own up to her crime, pay for it, and start again, guilt free. This worked well to add greater emphasis on the shower scene, because at this turning point in the plot we see she has made a good decision to set things right. It is almost unbelievable that Marion could be murdered at this high point. Nonetheless, the film goes on with her murder, which is a very shocking sequence because it happens quickly; as the knife stabs Marion, we see the figure of Mrs. Bates a figure in a dress with a woman s hat on. We are led to assume it is Mrs. Bates, and we are given a big surprise at the end when we find out it was actually Norman wearing her dress. The ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

I will touch on issues that are important in certain aspects of business ethics that derives from marketing as well as the well being of the community. I will further elaborate on the outcomes of these consequences that have an impact on the people, planet and profit. My judgment of marketing is the systematic series of actions between the service and product with the consumer completing the purchase. Marketing is not all about advertising or distributing flyers. It consists of having the right pricing objective and promotional mix to entice consumers into purchasing the product or service at a reasonable price, and that the promotion is appealing. • 39. Capital Budgeting Is An Investment Appraisal Essay Capital budgeting is an investment appraisal, and is the single most important decision made by a company s finance and exec team. It is the planning process used to determine whether an organization s long term venture(s) are worth the investment through the firm s debt, equity or retained earnings. One of the primary goals is to increase the value of the firm to the shareholders. The process of capital budgeting involves analyzing, evaluating and deciding whether resources should be allocated to a project (Lowengrub session 6 slides) . Several methods to evaluate incremental cash flows from each possible investment option. Net present value, expressed as is the method used to compare the present value of cash inflows to cash outflows. A positive NPV specifies that the projected incomes from the investment surpasses the estimated costs. Typically, in this case, a positive NVP will show a good ROI and if vice versa, will yield in a loss, therefore a project should be accepted with a result of a positive NPV. The Internal Rate of Return compares the firms cost of capital to the rate of return that makes the net cash flows from a project equal to the project s cost (Lowengrub, 2016). The IRR is the interest rate at which the NPV of all the cash flows from a project equal zero. If the internal rate of return of an investment/project surpasses a company s required rate of return, that project could be accepted. The modified internal rate of return is a ...
