4. Practicalities of live sessions
• Please do not share personal details on group
chat/presentations
• Everyone will be on mute whilst the presentation
is taking place
• Type any questions and/or use the ‘hands up’
buttons in the chat pane – we’ll try and answer
them as we go along or we will go over them at
the end.

5. Your Time
• Live sessions – Each day – these are on your
activity planner
• Optional ‘jump in’ live sessions, for extra support
• Tasks set on Moodle with timings on your activity
planner – These tasks should be completed by
the end of each to ensure you are on track
6. What you need
• Access to a computer/laptop or tablet essential
• Internet
• Webcam/video capability
• ID – For assessments on Wednesday
If only a mobile phone – You need to email so
we can check phone capability of doing
assessments whilst in a live session
7. What is the intent of the course?
To prepare you to effectively demonstrate skills, relevant
training, knowledge and attributes required to be successful
in application for Administration and Clerical roles within the
COVID-19 Vaccination Programme.
Jobs were originally fixed term until March 2021 but this
has been extended – Unsure on end date
There are vacancies available across Lancaster, Kendal,
Furness, Ulverston and Burnley.
The roles are;
Band 2 – Front of House Reception & Admin Support
Band 3 – Admin Support
Application and interview will be next week
8. You will:
• Undertake relevant training required of those applying
for the Vaccination Programme admin/clerical support
role
• Analyse a job description to understand the role and
match your own skills, training and knowledge to the
requirements
• Submit a tailored CV to gain feedback
• Consider how to apply the STAR technique to your own
competencies – To support during interview
It will be encouraged that you familiarise yourself with
COVID-19 and the National Immunisation Programme
and consider what your contribution will be
9. Implementation
The programme will be delivered remotely
over a number of days and will include;
• Daily online live workshops delivered by a tutor
• Completion and submission of independent
tasks
• Feedback on tasks/draft application
• Daily online question and answer sessions
• Optional training – Such as Infection control,
Customer Service, COVID-19, Resilience
10. Pre-course information – You
should already have…
• Completed an initial Assessment
• Received your Activity Planner
• Enrolled on to the different elements of the programme
and selected a timeslot for the Lancashire Lifesavers
session
• Received your Moodle login details via email
12. Next Steps
• After this meeting you will be able to start completing tasks
which are set on Moodle
• These tasks are monitored and activity/scores recorded
Access Moodle to complete the following;
• How to be Successful modules
• CV modules
• Job role familiarisation/draft application section
• Upload tailored CV for NHS role
After lunch;
• Equality and Diversity Modules
• Attend live virtual session at 2pm – Q & A – Progress Check
• Customer Service Modules – Optional for anyone wishing to add this to their
learning
