6. CSCS Card
CSCS now require ALL construction workers to hold a UK qualification, relevant
to their trade and level of skills, as well as being able to pass the CITB operative
test. This change was made in October 2015.
If you already have a CONSTRUCTION TRADE (Bricklaying, Joinery, Plastering
etc) related qualification at NVQ Level 2 and above then we can order the
correct card for you, once you have completed the programme – You need to
have evidence of this (certificate) and make this clear at the start of the
course.
The card takes approximately 4 weeks to arrive at Waterside because we must wait
for your Level 1 certificate to use as evidence of qualification and then do a bulk
online order – You will be sent a text message as soon as it is here.
The card is valid for 5 years.
Editor's Notes
For each exam, full exam conditions apply – Formal identification is required for the CITB test. No phones, hats or personal belongings are allowed in the room. Lockers are provided and must be used.
Above, is a picture of the CSCS card we will order, on successful completion of the programme. The qualification needed for this card is a Level 1 Award in Health & Safety in a Construction Environment, which you will take on Friday morning. This particular CSCS card allows you access to a site for labouring duties. If you have had a CSCS card before, let me know as this helps when registering your exams and applying for your new card.
