- 2. 2 MEETING PURPOSE Thank you for joining us and participating in this community discussion. The purpose of this meeting is to take public comments on proposed service changes that will be effective on Monday, September 3, 2018. No final decisions have been made.
- 3. 3 MEETING FORMAT Be considerate of meeting attendees and COTA staff. Please silence cell phones and other technology. Participants are encouraged to complete comment cards. Please print clearly. Following the presentation, staff will be available at each table to take your comments or feedback.
- 4. 4 SERVICE CHANGE SCHEDULE COTA modifies service three times per year – the first Monday of: • January • May • September September 2018 changes begin on Monday, September 3, 2018. Holiday service will operate on September 3 (Labor Day).

- 10. 10 PROPOSED NEW ALIGNMENT: EASTON LOOP Alignment Change: Northbound (traveling east on Easton Way) • Turn north on Easton Loop E • Turn east on Worth Ave • Turn north on Stelzer Rd • Continue normal alignment to Easton Transit Center *Southbound is the same in reverse*

- 13. 13 NIGHT OWL Goal: Shift service hours to extend later into the night to improve access for service industry employees New hours: • 8:30 PM-4:30 AM, Thursday-Saturday • Current service operates 7:00PM-3:00AM
- 14. 14 POTENTIAL ROUTE EXTENSION: LINE 25 BRICE Goal: Determine the feasibility of extending service south to better serve Canal Winchester area and future Canal Winchester Park & Ride
- 15. 15 POTENTIAL ROUTE EXTENSION: LINE 25 BRICE Potential New Route: • Continue south on Gender Rd past Gender Rd Towne Center to south of US 33 • Service extension south of US 33 contingent on locating a bus layover and turnaround site in the W. Waterloo St. area (near Walmart and Kroger)

- 22. 22 DOWNTOWN C-PASS PROGRAM • Starting June 1, eligible downtown workers will begin riding COTA using the C-pass program • Partnership of COTA, Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission and Capital Crossroads Special Improvement District downtown property owners • Employees of companies located within the map boundary are generally eligible for the C-pass • Some City of Columbus and Franklin County employees are also eligible. Contact your agency or department. • Federal or state-owned properties and churches are not eligible.
- 23. 23 MOBILE TICKETING & SMARTCARDS LAUNCH • Pilot program for eligible C-pass users begins June 1st • Available to all riders following pilot • Mobile app will be available on Android and Apple devices (Google Play & Apple Store) • Pay via mobile app by credit card (Visa/MasterCard/Discover) or prepaid card • Account must be created • No fees or additional costs associated with using app • Cash still accepted
- 24. 24 NEW CANAL WINCHESTER PARK & RIDE • Construction projected to start in summer and be completed in December • Replaces Gender Rd Park & Ride for Line 52 Canal Winchester • 162 parking spaces
